The streets of Palanthas...the hustle and bustle of the main markets. everyone practically ignoring everyone else...each person intent on their own objectives.

all, but one person. A young gilr, about 16 or 17, with reddish-brown hair, and dark green eyes. The girl scanned the crowd intently, her eyes narrowed with purpose. suddenly she spotted her quarry, an unwary traveler...who had left their money bag hang off their belt carelessly. The Girl smiled and reached out, not with her hands, but with her mind as she walked up to the unwary person. As she distracted the traveler, she used her powers to gently untie the strings and allow the purse to drop silently into her hand. all the while using a simple mind trick that confused and distracted her target. smiling she thanked the person for the directions, and walked away. once she was again swallowed by the crowd, she hefted the money bag and smiled.

"STOP THEIF!!" a shout rang out. the Girl froze and tried to duck into the crowds again, when a hand grabbed her collar from behind. "hey!!! 'lemme go!!" she cried. "I didn't do nottin!!" she twisted in the strong grasp. "tell it to your cell wall...cause thats the only thing your gonna talk to for a long time!" Growled the Guard. "Let me go!! I didn't do anything!!" she cried again"If you come here...you'll find me...I promise"

((OOC: Oh gods...not another one...:)))

Kiri-Koli sat in a large cell. It was cold and damp, a combination that royally ticked the young woman off. She glared at the single guard with startling green eyes, though he ignored her. She sighed and flung herself back on the hard bunk, effectively getting her long black hair in her eyes. With a growl of pure frustration, she sat up again. She couldn't understand this place! All she wanted was to go home...

"No!" she yelled, her voice impossibly loud. The guard jumped and started for her cell but she smiled sweetly at him and he stood back and simple glared. She was embarrased by her outburst, though she was damned if she was going to let the guard see that.

The memory of her burning home was fresh in her mind, the screams of her friends, the only family she had ever had, would not get out of her head. Kiri was an orphan. Her parents had been travelers and were killed by goblins when she was very young. Luckily she had been taken in by a middle-aged mage, named Majie, who brought her to the fabled Valley of Vanished Moons. People, from all races, were sometimes born with a calling that brought them to the Valley where they learned of life and magic. They were wearers of silver robes and holders of a deep magic.

But that had ended when the outside world, ignorant of the Valley's ways, had took advantage of the destruction of the stone that had protected and called to those with the Gift. Kiri's Shlafie had been killed, while Kiri herself had watched. After swearing revenge, the young human had fled and somehow ended up here.

"In jail." she muttered bitterly. Her musings were interupted when a another girl was brought into the cold prison. She was kicking and screaming but hard pressed to get away from the guard. Kiri raised an eyebrow and waited to see how this would play out.

The Girl kicked the guard with all her strength. The Guard grunted and only tightened his grip. With a final growl of annoyance, the guard threw the girl roughly into the nearest cell, already occupied by another girl.

The girl landed deftly, pulling off an arial flip to stop her fall. she turned as the guard slammed the cell door. She turned to the other occupant of the cell. "hello..." she mumbled and turned to the cell door, examining it closely."If you come here...you'll find me...I promise"

Kiri raised an eyebrow as the girl tried to throw off the guard. Such energy! But it was for nothing as the guard proved to be the stronger. The girl was thrown into the cell, landing with impressive grace. Kiri's eyebrows went higher and she decided she liked this girl.

"Don't bother trying to open the door. It's locked with a pretty big lock." She said, amused. The girl gave her a look of defiance and continued with the door. Kiri sighed. "I promised myself I wasn't going to do this..."

Waving her hand lazily, she put the guard to sleep. With a small glance at the door and a flash of her green eyes, Kiri opened it with a faint click. "I was getting pretty sick of sitting in here anyway..." She rubbed her hands together and surpressed the intense pain of the spellcasting.

The girl bolted but Kiri reached out and held her in a vicelike grip. "In a hurry? What did you do to get in here anyway?"

((OOC: Just so you know, Kiri is a very powerful mage but she is used to feeding off the magic of her community and their protective stone. Now she's alone and often tries spells to hard for her single status. Which is why I didn't jsut have her escape in the first place))

Kristaz was sleeping peacefuly in the cell next to where all the noise was coming from. Kristaz heard a cell door slam shut with a bit of talking as he raised himself to sit up from the cold floor. "Hey! does anyone mind that there are other people trying to sleep in here geesh!" He said as heard the faint sound of a lock opening as the guard hit the floor.

"Hey, wants going on over there?" Kristaz made his way to his cell door looking through the bar. "Hello? can anyone hear me?" Kristaz could make out a guard laying on the ground. "Hello... if someone is leaving I would be happy to so them a good escape way?"

Kristaz was waiting for an answer hoping who ever did this would free him as well."If you think these are the sayings of insane mad man, then you've nevered messed with a kender with a cold." - Me

Sir Deven Malcome enters into the prison. He carries the pompus, yet revrent air about him of a Solmanic Knight in the most strict sense. His dark brown hair neatly cropped, and his mustaches flowing about his face. He examines the cells, and inquires to the jailer about "the catch of the day."

Sir Malcome starts to speak to the thieves. "Citizens, Wanderers, and....Kender, I wish to speak to you of the evils of theivery..." Malcome enters a rant about thievery, that the Knights were to give to the people of the prison every night.

However, in the middle of his speech a stunning woman, with deep green eyes catches his attention. She was young, he was only 5 or 6 years her senior, after all, he had just won his knights spurs.
Suddenly Malcome repremands himself, he was among Paladines chosen. Imagine, the though of him chasing after some common thief.
Malcome finishes his speech to the thieves, however, as a punnishment to himself, the young knight sits on a stool in the corner, and decides to sit the the jailer for the rest of his shift.HEY! Pay attention you fu.....BOOBIES!!

The girl froze in ku's grasp. she looked down and then looked to the person in the next cell. "if you want out...ok..." the girl focused and stared intently at the lock. in her minds eye, she could see the inner workings of the lock, and deftly she sprung each tumbler. the lock clicked open. she turned to Ku...

"if you would've given me half a chance, I would've gotten us out.((OOC dont take her words to heart...she is an orphan and doesn't trust people easily.))

((OOC: what a coincidence!! Kiri's an orphan too and pretty pissed off at people cuz of what happened to her homeland... and last time I checked her nickname is not Ku :)))

Kiri stood staring at the young girl. She had not sensed any magic around this young human. She suddenly had to urge to ask the girl to explain her magic. Used to learning all that was around her, Kiri nearly bite off her tongue while biting back her request. [You're in a jail,] she reminded herself.

The girl started to leave, Kiri moved to intercept when her eyes sank into those of a Solmanic Knight. He was young and strong, with shining armor that bore few dents. His brown hair was neat and well kept and Kiri could easily imagine him gracefully riding a beautiful horse into a raging battle, fearlessly challenging any and all who questioned his honor. Kiri shook her head.

[Now is not the time for this!]

She left the prison and for lack of anything better to do, followed the girl as she disappeared into a large crowd. She heard soft footsteps behind her and realized the man who had been freed was following her even as she followed the girl. She shook her head, disloging several strands of obsidian hair. As soon as he hears word get passed that the prisoners have escaped, Malcome dashes after the fugitaves, following there path. (Which was made rather clear in the quick escape)HEY! Pay attention you fu.....BOOBIES!!

OOC: woops! sorry starlite...I got the characters screwd up...lol

The girl heard the alarm sound and ran quickly through the crowds. She couldn't get caught again...already her power was flagging cause of the constant use to make people look the other way. She stumbled once, and gave a sharp whistle. from the top of one of the buildings, a black bird, a magpie dived for her outstretched hand. she whispered somthing to the creature, who promply flew off again. the girl turned, and saw the two from the prisons directly behind her. she turned and ran again, finally slipping out of the city. she knew that the other two followed her quick escape. she turned and looked at them she said nothing and did nothing but turn and attempt to leave.

"Jury!" came a loud squawk from the magpie who decided to land on Kiri's shoulder. The birds shoulders where white, and then the remainder of the body was pitch black

The Girl turned at the sound of her name, a glint of anger in her eyes. "Miki!!" she growled holding out her hand and whistled. The magpie stayed where he was and squawked her name again "Jury!"

Jury turned and lowered her head, shaking it in defeat. "fine" she mumbled and turned towards the group motioning for them to follow her."If you come here...you'll find me...I promise"

Kiri fought through the crowd, trying to keep up with the lithe girl. She jumped slightly when the magpie landed on her shoulder and squawked
"Jury!".

Kiri looked at the frowning girl. So her name was Jury. Kiri smiled and glanced at the magpie, wondering why it had insisted that Jury allow them to follow her. The mage had always had a way with griffons but had no experience with smaller birds. Glancing back at the other escapee, Kiri followed Jury out of the city.Good becomes ignorant.

Jury frowned again and walked onward. She led the group to the woods, and to a small cave. she turned again, and motioned them to follow. once inside, all could see a small network of tunnels leading deep within the nearby mountains.

Jury led them silently through the labyrinth finally leading to an actuall door. Jury smiled to see their faint surprise and opened it with a silver key. the room on the other side was warm and brightly lit. Jury walked in and allowed the others to walk in, before she shut and locked the door.

Miki, the magpie squawked and flew over to a perch in the corner. "Jury!" he squawked. "freinds!" Jury stared at the magpie for a moment before turning to the other young woman. "you'll be safe here....please...feel free to get some rest." she said, looking away and busying herself with counting her remaining money."If you come here...you'll find me...I promise"

Kiri glanced around the strange room and then back at Miki, the magpie.

Thanks, she mouthed. The magpie probably understood though it didn't respond. Perhaps it was as smart as a girffon. Kiri leaned back determined to take advantage of Jury's offer of rest. Refusing to slip into memories, the young human closed her green eyes and slipped into a waking dream. She rested and tracked Jury's movements around the room at the same time, curious as to what the strange girl was doing. Good becomes ignorant.

Richard looked down from upon his mount. He was soaring through teh air on nothing else but a Griffon! Its name was Silverstrike. As richard gaze lingered he noticed a group of people retreat into a cave.

He felt it his duty as a mage/warrior/woodsman to see what they were up to. He swooped down and landed at its entrance. He gave the door in the cave 3 swift knocks. Richard was as curious as a kender at times."Splatter?I have never in my life splattered!" Fizban said to Tasslehoff.

Kristaz watched as the girls darted in and out of the crowd quickly as he tried to follow them. It seemed the idea to follow them to a hiding place instead of stay out in the open. He was surprised to find this hiding place way out of town, and past the forest strait into a cave. "Hey..." he said as he followed them into a door as the girl named Jury locked it behind them.

Out of breath Kristaz leaned against the wall of the place trying to catch his breath. "Hey, thank for the help. I would have rotted in that rat infested place if it wasn't for you both. So what now?" Kristaz smiled as he tried to keep himself warm in the cave. Kristaz wore nothing but rags found in the alley ways. The smell about the boy was distasteful, and seemed to carry the oder of both the jail and the alleys. His hair at the tips was almost white but the dirt made his hair look almost brown. The only weapons he had seemed to appear from nowhere as two daggers could be seen now sheathed in his bracers. Kristaz smile as he looked around making sure nothing would be able to find us.

"Not to sound like a party pooper or anything, but I think we should be off to the next town already just to be safe. If anything I would hate to be caught, and then sleep another night in that jail cell." Kristaz smiled to the both of them seeing that both these girls were beautiful, or atleast ten times better looking than those alley cats that had been cahsin him down. To consider how his week was going Kristaz thought it had just got a bit brighter.

With that a sniff to the air told him something stunk, and sadly it was him. "Excuse me, but do you know if the cave have a river's running through it? Also if there is any cloths around I might be able to use for the time being?" Kristaz smiled to the both of them.

OOC: I know I wasn't include in what you was saying about starting this thread back up, but I would be more then welcome to join if that alright and all. Jury frowned at Kristaz, and then nodded. "there's a river here....three more caverns back...keep to the right hand side...don't go to the left..." she murmered as she tossed him a bundle of clothes.

The knock at the door startled Jury, her green eyes narrowed as she drew her daggers from their sheathes at her waist. She motioned for the other two to back away from the main cavern. Quickly, she opened the door from behind, slamming it shut on the intruder. Her dagger pointed at the strangers' throat.

"Who are you?" Jury hissed, her voice low. The magpie sqwaked loudly as Jury glared at the intruder. "Why did you follow me? answer me quickly, or my nerves may decide your fate before my mind actually does!" Oh, Moons of Mercy, Moons of Light

And welcome Corey! This is cool cuz, as you may or may not know, Kiri has a griffon friend whom she was seperated from and desperatly wants to find again.

Now I was thinking about this and Kiri is...well, very young in this. Young and naive. Fun to play. I'm hoping that your char, Tiver, and Richard can be rather young too...younger than 20 cuz I have a plot in mind. It's rather silly and cliche...but I'm doing this more for fun than dramatics. Kiri's emerald eyes widened at Jury and she surpressed the urge to laugh aloud. She called to her magical bow, wincing as the liquid silver weapon appeared slowly through magic. It hurt so bad...and the memories...the abrupt change in mood gave her a headache and she growled softly.

Bitterly shoving the pain out of her thoughts, the young human pulled back her bowstring and aimed, though she was pretty sure that Jury could take care of herself."I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and

Cack Tuck crouched in a corner of the main cave, still dazed from his sudden journey. Just think, one moment ago, he was sitting in a prison playing with some pendant he found, the next her heard some commotion further up the block. The without warning the ring leapt on his finger and he... Vanished! and now here he was, with what appeared to be the same people who had created the ruckus back in the prison. He decided for the moment, noting the girl Jury’s lightning reflexes and sharp weapons, that it would be most beneficial to stay undetected, as only a kender can. In his pocket, the ring lay dormant, and to a magic user would seem totally powerless, its supreme magical properties swept away on the wind like so much smoke in autumn

OOC: Its alright starlite and anyways I was just trying to introduce a new character. For awhile now I have been wanting to put Tiver on the back burner and play a new character of mine. Also Kristaz looks around the age of 14 to 17, but he is in fact 16 years old. Any younger and its hard to play this character in other threads. Oh yeah, you can email me at darkfire80@hotmail.com if you want to tell me something about the plot and such. Okay back to the story at hand...

IC: Kristaz blinked when the bow came to Kiri's call, and was lifted to their foe at the door. Kristaz stood still holding his breath hopefully the person infront of Jury would speak up, and if not Kristaz was also sure that this person's purse could at least feed the trio for a few nights. The idea of starving really didn't settle in the young thief's mind. Casually Kristaz walked over next to Jury, but kept his distance from her blades.

"Excuse me Sir, but I really think you should hurry and answer the young ladies. Because I don't think women of their temper like to be kept waiting." Kristaz smiled to the young ladies one with muscles so taunt it gave her the look of a hunting cat ready to strike down her prey. Kiri with her eyes fixed on her threat seem to staring farther in with the eyes of a hawk. Kristaz shivered a bit seeing both of these young ladies, and by far it seemed Kristaz was developing a crush. He shook it off quickly as turned around heading down to the cold river to bath. Kristaz could feel his face turn red as he walked away. "Oh, excuse me ladies if I were you I would also bath its not like I'm the only one with the smell of pin we came from," Kristaz said with a smile.

His foot steps were quick as he was trying to make it out of the reach of Kiri's bow, and hopefully maybe lighten the mood in Jury. For some one so young she even seemed a bit high strung, or maybe something else. Kristaz shrugged remembering that he was trying to forget his up bringing, or at least who he was.

"Now... She said three caverns to the... right I believe it was?" Kristaz smiled as he made his way to the sound of water. "If you think these are the sayings of insane mad man, then you've nevered messed with a kender with a cold." - Me

"Excuse me Sir, but I really think you should hurry and answer the young ladies. Because I don't think women of their temper like to be kept waiting."

Kiri glanced away from her bow and at the young man, trying not to laugh at his quip and failing miserably. He smiled at her and Jury, and she smiled back, staring into his eyes.

The person at the door was being strangly quiet and Kiri was sick of waiting. She almost hoped that Jury would go off on him just so they didn't have to stand her any longer...almost...

Kristaz excused himself from their company, and Kiri had the urge to join him. She longed for water and standing here was getting real annoying...

Jury glared at Richard, then turned back to her spoils. Miki squawked and landed on her shoulder. what was I thinking when I brought them here? Jury chastized herself. I should have left them all behind! She turned and grabbed her travel pack, (already packed) and put all her money in her purse.

"Feel free to use these caverns whenever you choose...I will not be returning to them." She said, as she made her way back to the underground river.

she had just reached the small cavern just outside of the one she used when she heard a cry of surprise and fear...coming from the river! Jury ran towards it as fast as she could without dropping the pack. She turned the corner and heard two pairs of footsteps behind her...Kiri and Richard where following her. She neared the huge cavern with the river and heard the Roar....

Jury flinched, she had heard that roar before in these caverns...it was the roar of the deep dragon that dwelled here! Jury spun and saw the creaure...

The dragon was small, only about 60 feet, a juvinile...snakelike, with no wings...It's deep purplish scales where wet from the river...It eyed her and roared.Oh, Moons of Mercy, Moons of Light

Kristaz had stripped down, and leaped into the water to take away the chill from the water. Quickly he swam back up to the surface and let out a cry of surprise finding out that the water was actually colder. He shook the water from his hair as he heard another slash of water. Kristaz blinked a bit getting the water out of his eyes as he saw snake like beast whip around to face him in the pool of water still. Kristaz was over come by fear as he let out a scream.

The deep dragon roared at his prey taking pleasure in the fear of one so young. Then it heard the quick footsteps of another coming the deep dragon's way to the under ground river. It turned around to meet it's attackers leaving the scared boy in the river.

Kristaz swam to the other side of the cave crawling out of the water shivering from the cold air hitting him. "Excuse me ladies, but I would have liked to have known that you kept a dragon around." He said with a smirk from his blue lips. "Also please tell me thats a pet if not... please lie to me." He said with a smile then realizing he was naked he quickly covered himself with his hands. ((OOC: Awwww...a cute little dragon. Can I tame the cute little dragon? Pweeease?? :)))

Kiri-koli crept forward through the cave, eyeing the small dragon as it spat a bit of flame at the very naked Kristaz. She smiled despite herself and added reassuringly out of the corner of her mouth, "Definatly not our pet." Kristaz shivered and edged closer to the wall.

"At least not yet..." Kiri added to herself, reaching down a hand into the small red pouch that was constantly at her side, her emerald eyes locked onto the small purple ((purple???)) dragon as it let out another roar, looking pleased as the sound vibrated off the solid stone walls.

Whispering strange words, the mage crept closer. The dragon looked at her, its expression taking on a definate curious nature at the small being who dared to come closer. Their eyes locked, emerald and amethyst, and the mage threw a small handful of golden Dust at the magical creature.

The dragon sneezed.

Kiri-koli smiled and closed her eyes, continuously chanting. The magic was giving her a headache but the magical Dust was helping with the spell. It fell off the dragon's nose and formed small patterns on the floor. The small purple creature began to sway softly to the beat of the mage's words, coming to the point where it was almost purring along.

Kiri slowly let her words drop off and the Dust faded. The dragon stopped swaying and looked at her. The mage smiled and took a step forward, her silver robes whispering over the cave floor. She reached up cautiously and placed her hand on the small dragon's head.

It twitched and she gasped. But then it moved against her hand, forcing her to rub in between small scales.

"It's okay," Kiri called back to Jury, Richard and Kristaz. "And for the Stone's sake, put on some clothes Kristaz!" She saw Jury give her a funny look and she shrugged. "My master was an expert on magical creatures."

"Hey you!"

"I don't believe this! It's those thieves!"

Several men charged through the cave door, torches and swords held towards the children. A hunting party.

One of the lead knights stepped forward. "You two," he growled, pointing at Jury and Kiri. "You're under arrest. Milyes, you and the rest of the men exterminate the dragon. He's a menace to travelers."

"No!" Kiri shouted, standing in front of the dragon whom she suddenly likened to Pan. The knights swarmed around her and the mage saw Jury shift into an attack stance. "No...leave the dragon in our care and we'll come quietly." She glanced around meaningfully at the group. "Right guys?"

The lead Knight hesitated.

BIC: Jury didn't like other people to order her around...but when confronted with the dragon and the Guards, Jury threw her daggers down in disgust.

One of the guards came up and grabbed her immediatly. "This one is Dangerous! She's killed guards before." He growled as he twisted Jury's arms behind her back. Jury winced but kept silent.

"Oh now...what have we here??" the guard hissed. "did you steal this too?" The guard had a hold on Jury's gold necklace and platinum pendant. "NO!" Jury cried, panic evident in her Jade eyes. The guard reponded by tightening his grip, and pulling on her arm. She blanched and cried out. The guard snapped the chain, and put it in his pocket.Oh, Moons of Mercy, Moons of Light

Kristaz quietly swam over to the other side of the river grabbing his cloths, and slipping into the shadows to put them on. Kristaz checked to make sure nothing valuable was on his person, and if there was he hid it in the dirt for when he could come back for it later. Kristaz checked his bracers, and covered up the daggers he had in them.

"Now you two be quiet, and don't let the guards know you two are on me this time." His mind reached out to the daggers. The daggers seemed to pulse with a humming sound quickly and quietly as if angered.

Kristaz knew he was watched by one of the approaching guards though the guard didn't actually know where he was. If only Kristaz was older he could steal the guards armor and stuff and pretend to be him. Anyways who would believe a kid with armor that didn't even fit him.

Kristaz stepped out of the shadows right infront of the guard, "Boo!" Kristaz said as the guard fell back fumbling for his sword. "Please just draw that sword, and promise you that your family will recieve a part of your body every day of the year before they could ever bury you whole." Kristaz's eyes lit up like a pit of hot coals as a humming sound could be heard from beneath his cape. "Also Sir Knight I take it? Do be a gentleman, and don't twist my friend's arm off. Because if you do I will hold you down while she rips your arm off and beats you with it." Kristaz only smiled to the man of the floor beneath him. The guard's hand still on his sword more frighted of what might happen next.

Kristaz let it hang in the air for a bit as he stepped over the fallen knight walking up to Kiri. "Now leave the dragon in our care, don't hurt any of us, and we will come quietly. Am I leaving anything out?" He looked to the group the knight still twisting Jury's arm. "I told you to stop that!" "If you think these are the sayings of insane mad man, then you've nevered messed with a kender with a cold." - Me

((OOC: It is a cute little dragon! Remember, Kiri's best friend is a griffon. Not nearly as big as 60 feet but hey, those things can be savage when they have a mind to be!

I'm trying to remember if Kiri has anything important with her...oh, her pouch and bow...

Rip off his arm and beat him with it! hahaha. I used to say that all the time...))

Kiri-koli used Kristaz's speech as a distraction and banished her bow back to the magical existance from whence it came. There was nothing she could do about her pouch however, and she knew that if the last of her Dust was taken, there wasn't much she could do. No more existed that she knew of...and she winced at the thought of magic without it.

One of the knights, eyeing the dragon wearily, approached her and took the pouch and her small dagger. Digging her nails into her palm, Kiri watched silently as the last reminders of her past were wisked away. "What did you do with what you stole?" the knight asked harshly, a second later.

"I ate it," she shot back icily. "I was starving."

The knight raised a hand and made as if to strike her.

"That's enough!" the lead knight shouted, finally letting go of Jury. "Come with us then."

Whispering to the dragon to stay calm and follow, Kiri allowed her hands to be tied roughly behind her back and lead out of the cave, suddenly depressed and oh, so alone.

Kristaz smiled to himself seeing that everyone was listening to him, and that everything seemed now to be running smoothly. As always Kristaz couldn't keep his mouth shut.

"Yeah thats what I thought! We'll will go with you, but your going to be nice to me and my friends ya hear." Kristaz said bouncing around. It was the sudden strike to the back of his head that spun him back to reality. Kristaz turned around slowly as the world faded from his view. All he could see was the blurred vision of the knight with what looked like a smile.

"Was it something I said?" Kristaz fumbled out as he swayed back forth. There was another crack, and then the lights went out. Then there was nothing but blackness, and a rather nice dream. "Why didn't you warn me about this?" Urgit in a weakened tone.
"I wanted to surprise you." Silk replied looking awfully pale.
"I will never drink again. Oh, excuse me." Urgit spat out as he leaned over the railing of the ship. -Silk and Urgit, King of the Murgos

Jury's breath hissed as the other guard twisted her arm again, her heart hammered against her chest as she watched him pocket the medallion. She tried to pull out of his grip, but he twisted her arm and she cried out.

Richard struggled against the urge to unsheathe his sword and decapitate the guards in front of him as he watched Jury and Kiri struggle. Richard walked up and placed his mouth to Jury's ear faking a kiss to fool the guards. " I'll come get you at the prison." The guard didnt hear what he said but was still angry.

"Get away from these thieves!" the guard said putting his free hand on his sword.

"Sorry, just a little good-bye kiss. Thats all." Richard replied."Splatter?I have never in my life splattered!" Fizban said to Tasslehoff.

Jury narrowed her eyes and, Keeping up all pretenses, Tried to attack Richard for kissing her. The guard holding her had her well in check, however.

The walk back to sanction was agonizing for her...The medallion...her only clue to her past...and hopefully her future away from sanction...Was gone. She swore as the guard twisted her arm again to silence her. She stumbled along, casting sidways glances at Kiri.

Kristaz woke up with a knot on his head that throbbed, and in a jail cell that smelled a bit more nastier than his first. With a rub of his head his eyes focused in on the room as he could see Kiri leaning back on a hay shack with the dragon that seemed to cram itself into the corner with her. Jury stood infront of the jail cell door ready to be out of here. With a bit more looking around it had seemed that the dragon had a hard time making it's way into the cell and actually took out a few more cells in the process. Kristaz only smiled as he sat up with a smile. Looking over to the dragon with a smile then back to Jury.

"It really must of been something I said." Kristaz said with a chuckle as he turned set his feet on the ground finding out he was laid on a stone slab. "These really do wonders for your back though I don't recomend sleeping on them." There was another laugh with a smile as the door opened slowly. "I take it we're to be treated as royality, and dressed in the finest cloths and have a feast in our names?" Kristaz said with a smile and a little more hope than sarcasism. He caste a side long glance at Kiri and shrugged, and waited for the person to speak up and come in.

OOC: My guy is still free right?

Richard walked calmly toawrds the door leading to the basement jail cells where his friends were being held. He approached the guard.

"Good evening officer, i was just wondering if you could point me in the direction of Tristletine."

The guard looked confused and said. " Tristletine? I think your mistaken."

"Your right, my mistake, take this as payment for my foollery." Richard said reaching into a pouch and holding out a clenched fist in front of the soldier. The guard opened his hand under mine expecting to see some coins fall into his palms but instead was knocked senseless as Richard brought his fist up powerfully. He shoved the body down into the basement and took out his sword.

He saw some more guards turn around and face him."Hey! What are you doing down here." They said. Then they noticed Richards drawn blade." Get him!"

Richard caught the first man with the tip of his sword slitting the mans throat. He brought it back around to make contact with the second guards midsection. The man was nearly torn in two. Richard raced down the hallway looking in each cell for his friends. More guards came at him. Richard was death swimming in a wake of blood. Not on sword came near him. They were cut down before they had a chance to attack.

Finally Richard saw his friends in a cell down a bit further. The dragon was also crammed in an adjacent cell. Richard searched the bodies of the guards and produced two sets of keys.

"I'll get ya out of there in a minute." Richard said working the door lock with one key, then switching to another if it didnt work."Splatter?I have never in my life splattered!" Fizban said to Tasslehoff.

Jury looked at richard as he fumbled with the keys...then focused her eyes on the lock...Her mind reeling as she actually saw the lock tumblers in her mind. She pushed lightly, and the first tumbler clicked into place...then the second, the third, then finally the fourth...Her hands where clenched tightly around the bars, the knuckles white.

Jury paled as her mind strained to work the more complex lock...one final twist, and the lock clicked, and the door swung open with her weight. She stumbled and fell and Richard's feet, her face pale and wan...

Why do I even bother...If I get caught agian...these people will finally realize what I've been doing...and next time....there will be no lock.... She thought

((OOC: All this bloodshed and hardened criminal stuff is getting a little unrealistic for a bunch of kids...have to do something about that...))

Kiri-kolio watched, stunned, as Richard entered the cell holding a sword stained red. She distantly heard tumblers click and imagined Jury working on the lock as she had done before...her emerald eyes would not obey her. They stared at the blood, visons of people...her friends...dying for no good reason...screams of pure agony ringing through her mind...

Jury pushed the door open finally and sank wearily to the floor. Moving without realizing it, Kiri pushed past her and tore her eyes from one scene of carniage to another. The slain corpses of knights lay strewn across the cold stone floor...

Her eyes wide with horror, Kiri turned and took a step towards Richard. The human smiled at her in triumph and never knew what hit him as the heel of her palm smashed into his chin with amazing strength born of pure anger.

She watched as he fell to the ground. She wasn't strong enough to have knocked him out--she was almost amazed she had knocked him over...

Standing over him, her severe expression horrible, she exploded. "WHAT IN THE ABYSS IS WRONG WITH YOU? THEY WERE JUST DOING THEIR JOB AND YOU...YOU..."

She broke off into a whisper. "You slaughtered them..."

How could things have gone so wrong? This is exactly what she had been trying to avoid...she didn't believe the knights had the right to arrest her and keep her here, or to kill the dragon...but...

"Isn't there already enough death in this world?" she murmured, disillusioned. She heard Majie's screams and felt a tear roll down her flushed cheeks.

"Hey!" Marshall Joliven skidded to a stop. Several of his knights were dead...two prisoners were out of their cells, one crying...a dragon was wailing in rage...and a kid with a blood-stained sword was lying on the ground massaging his bruised face.

His eyes widened until they could no more. "You...you are under arrest for the murder of..." he said breathlessly. Several knights poured in behind him. They did their duty--there would be time to mourn the fallen later.

Out of the corner of her eye, Kiri saw Richard stand stiffly and bring his sword to bear. With no conscious thought to do so, she extended her magic to the sword. He cried out as it burned his hand and dropped the red hot sword to the ground.

Glaring at him, Kiri kept the sword heated and then looked at Jury, wondering if she had any plans to use her magic to harm the knights. The silver robe knew she would try and stop her... "No more..." she whispered to the other. "No more..."
