INTRO:

To the south of the continent of Alacrast, lies an island known as Lodoss. A land forged in the heat of Battle, between Martha, goddess of the Creation, and Kardis, Goddess of Destruction. Lodoss has become to be known as the Acused Island. Now, in a country painted with the colors of war, new ambitions are stirred.

THE STORY

Ashram, and Pirotess stood upon the prow of their ship. after fleeing the Island of Lodoss, the group of people called Marmoan's looked endlessly for a place that they could call home. Elswere, Spark and Neese, where also on a Journey, a Pilgramage to spread the word of Martha, when the two groups met up on the same continant...Ansalon. Lord Ashram and Pirotess (black knight, and Dark elf) landed near Neraka. while Spark and Neese (Free Knight and Priestess of the Goddes of Creation.) landed in the harbor of Palanthas. (anyone please feel free to take over Ashram, Pirotess, or spark...I want to play Nesse)

"Spark? Is this where Parn and Dedlit said we should start??" Neese asked, her blue eyes wide. she was dressed in a short tunic and breeches, with a long white cloak, trimmed in gold. upon her forhead, was a golden half-moon circlet.

"Well Neese, this is where they said to travel, and as far as I can tell, this is the only port for miles." he said as he lifted Neese by her waist and set her gently on the dock. "well then...maybe we should get started.

"Not without me your not!!" shouted an indignant voice. Spark turned in surprise to see Leaf, the Half-elf jump from the boat deck She patted down her short red hair and smiled. "Dedlit told me to keep an eye on you two..." she said with a quirky smile. Spark rolled his eyes while Neese smiled.

"good to have you along Leaf." Neese said... "but we had better get going."

OOC: ok I Guess I'll have to get the ball rolling on this one....to whomever never heard of, or watched Lodoss war Chronicals, here is a basic over view. Lord Ashram and Pirotess, are leading the people of Marmo to find a new home. Lord Ashram is the type that will do anything to secure a home for his people. ANYTHING And Pirotess (darkelf) will do just about anything for ashram. I am hinting that they landed on Ansalon to procure a place for the marmo people....and since Dragons are few in Lodoss, Ashram would probably appeal to the chromatics greed and such to use them as a type of army(there where only six actually kinda like the dragon over lords. (the green, The blue(bram), the Ice dragon, The Fire Dragon (shootingStar) the Black, and the only good dragon of the Bunch, the Gold(cant remember the name)

The purpose for using Neese , Spark, and Leaf, is kinda obvious hehe:) but, interesting things could happen....such as Takisiss trying to use neese as a vessel to enter this world?? they tried it in the second chronicals...and it nearly worked. hehe...who knows...Please people...help me out here....may all those lost in the tragedy of 9-11-01 forever remiain in our hearts...

Goddess Bless! ;)

Drache Starfall smiled at the bustling streets of Palanthas. People watching was one of her favorite pastimes--it made her feel as if she were part of a weave and that no matter how bad her life was, somewhere things were better and overall, the big picture was a tapestry of hardship and happiness--she was not alone.

Well, actually she was never alone, she thought ruefully. Her Other Half was a constant presence, but one she refused to think about.

Tossing her blue-flame hair, the half-elf walked slowly down the street, watching merchants sell their wares, people of all races getting cheated out of their money...she sighed softly and smiled.

A spark of blue caught her purple gaze, and Drache turned to see a serious-looking man with blue hair and pale blue eyes. She stared. She had never seen another with blue hair...

The man's companions were just as strange. One had long, purple hair and deep blue eyes and an odd cresent shaped ornament on her forehead, while the other, a half-elf, had red hair and a brown gaze.

Drache Starfall stared for a long moment, till the man noticed and pale blue met violet. Blushing, Drache made her way towards the group...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Blasted city..." Drache Blueflame growled, stretching his blueflame-pattern wings. He was so unbelievable bored...

The streets of Nekara were littered with those who did not want to be seen, especially by a large blue dragon. They skitted about nervously, ducking behind trees in an obnoxious attempt to stay out of sight. Drache had had some fun earlier, roaring at those who got too close, but that had gotten old.

He sighed deeply, then caught his breath. Two companions were coming down the street, making no attempt to hide themselves. Drache stared. They were dressed strangly, the man with long blue-black hair and an interesting-looking sword. The other, a woman, had dark skin and pointed ears, covered slightly by dark, blonde hair. Her amber eyes pierced those who crossed her gaze.

Intriqued, Drache Blueflame spread his wings and moved into the street, without a word, and into their path. Good becomes ignorant.

Spark put out an arm to halt Neese. He noticed the woman with blue hair walking towards them. His hand rested easily on the hilt of his sword. "wow what a pretty City!! Reminds me of Kanan" Leaf exclaimed loudly as she walked right into spark. She stumbled and fell.

"Owie!!" she cried. Neese turned and stifled a giggle, while spark reached around, and offered Leaf his hand. "Please be a little more careful Leaf!" He admonished. Leaf blushed furiously. "Me? More Careful!! Listen here oh fearless leader!! If you wouldn've stopped so suddenly without any warning I would'nt have walked into you!!" She cried indignantly, as she alowed him to pull her to her feet.

Neese turned away from Spark and Leaf, and looked at the woman. "hello!" she greeted plesantly. "I am Neese, Preistess of Martha....This is Sir Spark of Flane, and this is Leaf, our trusted friend.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Ashram looked around, his dark eyes noting everything with in his gaze. He kept his hand on his sword. The people scuttled around, not looking at him or Pirotess...or if they did, they looked back down and hurried off.

"Kinda pathetic if you ask me" Pirotess muttered, as she absently brushed her hair from her eyes. "Sir, do you really think that this place will make a good home for our people?" She asked. Ashram looked at her for a moment, then looked up suddenly.

Ashram's eyes widened as he spotted BlueFlame. "by Mirei's might!!" he muttered. Pirotess stopped, and dropped her hand to her sword. She followed Ashram's gaze. "Oh!!" was all she could muster...the last dragon she had been this close to was ShootingStar, of FireDragon Mountain.

"He kinda looks like Bram..." she mused. Ashram nodded. "But somthing tells me that this is no Ice dragon." he said as he walked forward, intent on speaking with the creature.

I would love to be a part of this thread, but I'm new to this myself, so I'm unsure what character maybe you need or are looking for....if you would just give me so pointers on getting started I would love to help continue it, I love writing fantasy stories! :)Liana Nirel of Duryan I just remember something...you said you needed a cleric of takhisis...I could maybe play that...is this cleric going to be perhaps a unlikey ally?

((OCC: Welcome, Icedragon! I'm going to let Kalia tell you what char she needs, as it's her thread. But, in case you didn't know, when you are writing something out of context, put OOC before it. BIC means back in context. If you put nothing it's assumed to be part of the story. :P

Oh and Kalia, is it just my imagination, or are your chars kinda...klutzy? :) hahaha. That's a great word. :P))

Drache Starfall watched in amusment as the man noticed her and stopped, causing one of his companions to crash into him. She stifled a giggle and continued to walk forward, noting the man had rested an automatic hand on the hilt of his sword.

"I am Neese, Preistess of Martha....This is Sir Spark of Flane, and this is Leaf, our trusted friend." one of the woman said, smiling. Drache smiled back and bowed gracefully.

"And I am Drache Starfall. If I am not mistaken, you are strangers to this fair city. Tell me, what brings you to great Palanthas?"

Drache tried to keep a straight face through her little speech, and almost made it. At the last word, she burst out laughing, blushing as 'Sir Spark' gave her a funny look.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Drache Blueflame waited for the two to come to him, waited and waited...It was obvious that they had seen him--it was damn near impossible not too--and that they were intriqued. But people take so long to walk anywhere...

Drache yawned, rolling his violet eyes. Humans he thought with some disgust, though if he were at all lucky, these particular humans would give at least a few seconds amusement.

Finally he couldn't stand it anymore. Drache stretched his incredible wingspan, blue-flame scales flashing in the sunlight, and shifted. The wind caught in the leathery wings, and he took a gracefull but small leap forward. With that little movemtent, he was practically ontop of the companions.

Grinng evily, his thoughts were interupted by peals of laughter. Drache frowned and pushed his Other Half out of his mind before turning to his object of interest.

"You look losssst..." he hissed, grinning at them. "What arrre you doing herrre?"

OOC: Icedragon...I really need a Cleric of Takisis for this...Email me at PantherMoon_2000@hotmail.com and I will fill you in on why. I will put in an intro for the character...and if you want to, then you can jump in...if you don't then I will just play the character till someone does.

OOC2: Neese is around 16-17, spark is 20-21 or so. and Leaf well...she's a half elf...we can just guess...and yes, Leaf is a bit Klutzy! :) :)

BIC: Neese smiled and ignored the strangers' peals of sudden laughter. "we are here to spread the word of Martha, Goddess of the Earth." she said softly, as she looked around the city in interest. "so...what about an inn...we've been cooped up in that ship for so long." Complained Leaf, who was rewarded by a stern look from Spark. "what??" she whined.

Neese looked around, oblivious to Spark and Leaf arguing. She was anxoius to find someone in this land to speak with about Martha...she spotted one of the older temples to Paladine, and wondered if that may be a good place to start. Just as she was ready to get sparks' attention, a black robed figure caught her's.

The figure was standing just outside of an alleyway. Neese shuddered involinarily as she sensed his presence. She sensed something that was almost familiar...This person...reminded her of...

She shook her head to clear the memories of when Vagnard used her as a doorway for Kardice, the Goddess of Destruction. Her destiny as the reincarnation of Nenielle, Queen of the Dead, made her the doorway, the final Key to that Dark Goddess's reserrection. Neese frowned, reached out to Spark, and turned back to where the figure stood. She blinked in surprise....He was gone. "Spark!?....There is something evil here in this city...."

((OOC: hehehe, idea.))

Drache Starfall watched wearily as Spark and Leaf quarreled among themselves. The other, Neese, kept looking around as if she were searching for something...

The half-elf dimly heard one of them mention a tavern. She turned to answer and fell deep into Spark's eyes. The other just looked back at her and smiled. Drache blushed deeply, inciting an answering blush from the man.

Suddenly Neese grabbed Spark's arm, yanking his gaze away. Drache blinked as if slapped.

Spark!?....There is something evil here in this city...."

The half-elf paled and Neese looked straight at her, eyes accusing. "Do you know anything about this?" the woman demanded, her tone hostile.

"You can sense evil...?" Drache half-asked, swaying on her feet. The other nodded, and took a step forward.

Something snapped in her mind. Drache Starfall reached up and touched her flame-patterned blue hair once before she fled down the street, fear and rejection nipping at her heels.

((OOC: hehehe. Obviously, the hostile looks were all in her mind. :) She has a fear of being evil as it's in her nature, so she thought Neese was refering to her...this gives a chance for us to do something till Icedragon starts playing the Cleric. BIC: Nesse Blinked....What did she say wrong? "Spark?" she questioned, unsure. Spark watched as The woman ran from them. "I don't know neese, but we had better find her..Leaf?"

Leaf turned and began a simple spell. "great spirits of Invisiblity...Let your form becom my form." Leaf faded from sight, as she ran after the woman.

"I don't know what I am sensing spark...but It feels Dark, Darker than Vagnard!!" Neese cried as she ran.

Spark glanced at her, worry filling his pale blue eyes. "I hope that you are wrong neese.."

((OOC: Alright...umm, I'm not sure about male elven names in Lodoss...but I'll just call him Farorin. Brown hair, auburn eyes, rest is all elven stuff. Wears a white tunic, white and black armor, and a brownish-greenish cloak. He has a longbow, a quiver full of arrows, and two long daggers. He uses psychic abilities (only minor, not like Linearos) and that's that. He's three quarters elf and a guardian to the priests of Marfa. Although he knew Spark was going to protect neese, he just used his job as an excuse to follow Leaf :).
I can't say that I'm sure about the Takhisis thing... Perhaps I'll make one myself and use it as well as Farorin if no one turns up.))

Farorin yawned deeply. He had fallen asleep during the voyage, and wasn't surprised when he found no one on board the ship.
He didn't worry about the safety of Neese because he was sure Spark and Leaf were probably with her.

Gazing at the city before him, he thought, "Not too shabby, but I prefer Valis..."

Jumping nimbly off the side of the boat onto the dock, he fastened his purse more tightly to his belt and walked into the city, looking for the three, but especially Leaf (:)).

Ashram frowned at the large Blue Dragon, wondering just what to do now. "forgive me if My people and I have intruded upon your town...I have come here in hopes of finding a land and kingdom for my people. What can you tell me of this land Dragon?" Ashram sheathed the sword "Soul Crusher" and gave Pirotess a warning look.

The Dark elf, nodded her head in response and stepped back allowing Ashram to speak with the Dragon in privacy.

-----------------------------------------------

Neese ran before Spark and Leaf. She was scared, but she didn't want to loose their only contact in this land. She quickly left Spark and Leaf behind, loosing them in the crowd.

Spark cursed as he lost sight of her. "Damn!" he spat, pushing through the market crowd. "We've lost her Leaf! Go find Farorin!" he cried as he continued forward searching for Neese.

Drache Blueflame raised a scaly eyebrow as Ashram as he stood his ground asking questions. It occured to the blue dragon that these people had no idea what the fact that he was blue meant. Hidding a thoroughly evil grin, Drache Blueflame bowed low.

"I am Drache Blueflame. You are looking for a place for your people to live? And who, praytell, are your people? No, wait a second."

Watching the stranger's reactions carefully, Drache enacted the magic that transformed him into a more managable form. The transformation was not pleasent, though it left a powerful looking, 7-foot human with dark blue hair standing before Ashram. Drache bowed again.

"It would be my honor to tell you all you wish to know about this land. Perhaps we should take it off the street though." He pointed to a tavern off to the right, which was little more than a shack and wherein could be heard angry shouts and the sounds of faces meeting fists.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Drache Starfall ran through the streets blindly. She didn't know why she was running, it was all a simple blur.

She ran and ran, long legs pumping till she was going so fast that her steps were reckless and unsteady. Abruptly, she hit something solid and bowled it over.

"By the gods!" Drache said weakly, the wind having been knocked out of her. She untangled herself from the man she had knocked over and stood entirely too fast. The world blurred again and became black. The half-elf swayed on her feet, waiting till her eyes focus.

When they did, she blinked and then moaned. She had knocked over an elf dressed as a ranger with brown hair and beautiful auburn eyes. "I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and
I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

Farorin laughed slightly as he got up and dusted himself off.
"You okay there? You must have gotten too fast...Why were you running?" he asked, suddenly alert.
"Is someone chasing you?..."
He looked at Drache and laughed.
"I don't know why they wouldn't chase you, but by the looks of you, I would suppose you could protect yourself..."
But even as he said this, his hand stayed on his right dagger, and his attention swayed on the direction from which the young elfmaiden (This guy doesn't know how to tell the difference between a half-elf and and an elf by their looks) had been running from."Draco dormiens nunquam tittilandus"-"Never tickle a sleeping dragon"

OOC: Thats okay I kinda forgot that Leaf was invisible...and chasing after Drache...

BIC: Leaf dispelled the spirits of Invisibility and sepped out of nothing in the middle of a nearby crowd. "Damn! Neese??" she cried, looking around frantically.

Spark stumbled past a group of roudy drunks, and nearly fell into Farorin and Drache. "Well There You are anyway...." he muttered as he continued to look around for Neese.

"Farorin! Neese has dissapeared! She ran off, I don't know where she might have gone! She said she had sensed something evil here....and She ran off!" Spark cried his blue eyes wide with panic and fear.

------------------------------------------

Neese turned, startled by a sudden sound, to find that Spark and Leaf where nowhere to be found.

"Spark??" she cried, only to turn and find that same black cloaked figure behind her. "Oh!" she gasped and stepped away from the figure.

The figure muttered a soft word, and a vuage circle of darkness surrounded Neese. "NO!" she screamed, as a pale white glow formed around her.

"Martha...Mother of all who live and love. Protect your child from this evil!" Neese cried, as a wave of white shattered the black circle. The black cloaked figure hissed a curse and dissapeared.

"This is not finished...doorway!" The figure hissed as he faded.

Jumping into the air, he stood on a wall and looked around, cursing under his breath.
"How can I find one person in this rab-"
A flash of bright white light answered him.
"There!" he shouted to Spark, pointing towards the direction of the light.

"You know each other?" Drache cried out in dismay, but they ignored her in their search for Neese.

"There!" Farorin shouted to Spark, pointing towards the direction of some white light. "I think we can find her there!"

They started through the crowd, but the light was halfway across the city and the crowd was a mob, milling about in confusion and irritable to the point where they didn't want to move for any one.

Drache rung her hands, torn by indecision. She sputtered several times and then abruptly called out.

"Wait! There's a better way!" Spark, Farorin, and Leaf took a step back towards her, dismayed at how little distance they had managed to gain in the sea of people.

"I'm going to regret this," Drache muttered, before enacting her magic. A blue mist surrounded the half-elf and grew. The crowd stepped back and gasped as the mist grew larger and larger.

Then it cleared.

Screams rang out through the echoing streets as a relatively small blue dragon--relative to other dragons, that is--stood in the middle of the street. Her flame-patterned scales shone in the sunlight, beautiful and terrible. A collective gasp came over the crowd and for a moment there was silence.

Drache took a breath and let out a deafening roar.

The crowd dispersed, falling over themselves in a panic and hope that they could save their own miserable life. Five seconds later the streets were cleared. Drache blinked, impressed. She has never considered herself all that frightening.

Spark, Leaf, and Farorin stood stunned both at the blue and the now empty streets. Drache started back and then roared again. "GET GOING!!"

They took off down the streets. Drache spread her wings and took off, flying towards the light to add air cover.

OOC: no need to be sorry starlite!! I like it!!

BIC: Spark stared at the dragon and held his breath...only to hear it roar to get going. He spun on his heel without another word, and ran down the street, Farorin and Leaf behind him.

---------------------------------

Neese heard the roar of the dragon and clapped her hands over her ears...She had never heard such a sound....She turned to find spark, Leaf and Farorin running towards her. She looked up and cried out at the sight of the Blue dragon.

Spark took hold of Nesse's arm and pulled her into the cover of a small alleyway. "Neese!! What did you think you where doing!?" He cried panting.

Neese caught her breath and stared at spark angrily. "I Can fight you know!! I am not as helpless as you would make me seem Sir Spark!!" she cried, pulling away from him. Spark stared at her as if he had been slapped. She turned and looked at Farorin, and Leaf...She stared at the Dragon for the breifest moment before she fled from the alley...

Spark took a single stepp before leaf held out her arms. "Let her be spark....She's right you know..." Leaf turned to Farorin. "What are you doing here?" she asked, her hands on her hips.

------------------------------------

neese ran till she was outside of the city gates. She stopped near a dark forest, with a black tower at its center.

She sighed and rested against a huge tree, her breath coming in short, panting gasps. "I wish that Spark could just realize that I can fight...my power is equal his in most respects!" she cried.

-------------------------------------

Elsewhere in Palanthas. a lone woman stood, she had long black hair, and deep violet eyes. A circlet of gold rested on her head. She turned and looked at the companions breifly, and then looked in the direction that the Priestess had run.

"so...It has begun...." the woman murmered in a soft, slightly echoing voice.

--------------------------------------

Ashram looked at the Human that was once the huge dragon before him. He cleared his throat and began to tell the dragon of their flight from the Dark Island of Marmo, their attempt to find a home in the Isle known as Lodoss....and then the sea voyage here.

Back at Ashram's ship, Marr the grass runner and Hobb, the priest of Mirie where waiting impatiently. Marr, was strumming idly at his lute, bored (A grassrunner is something similar to a Kender) He stretched and looked at hobb, who was dosing off. Marr smiled to himself and slipped off of the ship.

"I umm, well..." Farorin stuttered, turning red.
"I'm here to protect Lady Neese, of course!" he said, remembering their situation.

"I'll follow her...Follow only," he said, glancing at Leaf's reproving glare that didn't go down after he assured her he wasn't going to talk to her.

Sighing, he took a leap, from the balcony he was on, to the roof, and followed Neese outside the city walls, only slowing down to stare once more at the dragon he had 'saved.'

Jumping stealthly and silently from branch to branch, he walked up behind Neese and tapped her on the shoulder, jumping up faster than she could turn, only to tap her on the shoulder once more from behind and jumping high onto a tree limb and laughing.

Neese kept looking around her and shouted, "That's not funny!"

Farorin kept laughing, for sake of old times mostly. He had looked after Neese as well as Leilia since they were children.
