The Spitting Ogre Inn on the edge of Haven is a hubbub of action as night comes on. All commotion ends, however, as the fire begins to spit and twirl and then goes out all together. After a moment there is a thump and a large cloud of ash and soot wafts into the Inn. From it walks a young human boy in a long black robe and flaming red hair. Soon after he landed, brushing the soot from his clothes, there is another thump, and then another. Two more children exit the fireplace, coughing and brushing themselves off.

"That wasn't funny, Ron!" a girl said. "Your Mum will be wondering where we are now . . ."

"Calm down Hermione, she'll b fine!" The first boy snapped back.

The third, another boy, remained quiet and thoughtful as he looked around the Tavern for the first time. He had pitch black hair and bright green eyes. All three wore long black robes.

((OOC: Well I like Harry Potter books (:P) so...I'll use Kiri-Koli))

Kiri-Koli stood at the door of the Spitting Ogre Inn, surveying a strange scene with her intense green eyes. Confusion lit her beautiful features as she impatiently brushed her shoulder-length, obsidian hair from her face. An elf had once told said her impatience was the only thing that severely labeled her as a human, her graceful movements and love for life making her more elf-like. Personally, Kiri was glad for her impatience for it seemed to get things done. As to now...she just had to wait for impatience to take over before she waded into the mess before her.

Three young humans stood in the middle of the tavern, back to back, holding up the strangest wands Kiri had ever seen. Moreover they were all wearing black robes...but Kiri-Koli knew they couldn't be black robes...they were far too young! And by the scared look on the red head and blonde girl's faces they were too timid to worship Nuitari. Only the black haired one looked unafraid...though Kiri would definatly not call him evil. He simply looked more accoustomed to danger than the others. The young mage studied him for a moment...his eyes were a reflection of her own! She stared, but then her view was obstructed by a large human who waded through the crowd and converged on the children.

"Enough is enough!" Kiri muttered as the human began to shout at the kids...clearly enjoying the fear that played across their young faces. Gathering her magic about her, she said a simple trigger and grinned as the towering human shrank to the size of a small kender. The crowd gasped and the kids were swallowed by the panic. Shaking her head in disgust, Kiri initiated a loud BANG! and then shouted at the top of her lungs, a great feat in itself.

"ALL RIGHT!! EVERYONE CLEAR OUT!! NOTHING TO SEE HERE, YEAH THAT'S RIGHT. GET MOVING..." The crowd complied and Kiri moved to see if the young humans had been injured. They weren't, though they cringed at the sight of her. Swirling her silver robes around her lithe body, Kiri gave them a smile that she hoped was reasurring. "Hello, I'm Kiri-Koli. Interesting...coming out of the fireplace like that...How did you do it?"

((I don't mind playing all three, and if anyone wants to join and take over one or two, that'd be fine!!!!! Anyway, I know this is going to sound bad, but I've only read the first wo. I haven't been able to get my hands on the third, and I'm kinda money-shot as it is right now. If I make any errors, feel free to correct me, but for my sake until I am able to get the third, is it okay to start out after the second? geez, do I sound lame, in my own crossover too!!!))

The three relaxed slightly as Kiri smiled.

"We used the floo powder . . ." the red-haired kid scratched his head.

"We really weren't supposed to end up here, and I don't even know where here is!" The girl replied.

"This isn't Knockturn Alley, is it?" The third boy asked, giving a look that said he really hoped it wasn't. "Oh, and by the way, I'm Harry and these are my friends Ron and Hermoine." He added, holding out his hand and then motioning to the red-headed boy and the girl.

Kiri-Koli looked at the young boy who had called himself Harry. Her eyes traveled to his forehead which sported a lightning shaped scar. she thought. Aloud she said, "Knockturn Alley? I've never heard of such a place...flooz (flooz?)powder...Where are you orginally from? I'd be happy to help you get back there." "We're from Hogwarts." Ron said. "You know, 'School for Witchcraft and Wizardry'?" He added as the name didn't seem to register. Suddenly, Hermoine grabbed Harry's robe and whispered in his ear, however loud enough that Kiri could hear . . .

"Oh no! Harry, she's never heard of Hogwarts! What if she's a Muggle! She'll find out about us!"

"You and I grew up around Muggles, Hermoine," Harry responded calmly, "and this isn't anything Muggle-like." This seemed to calm Hermoine some. Harry looked to Kiri. "Where are we, exactly? That might help in getting us back where we belong . . ."

"I've never heard of any place called Hogwarts...We're in the Spitting Ogre Inn near Haven. What exactly is a Muggle?" The name sounded more than a little insulting. *This is strange...* Harry thought. He coulnd't place where 'Haven' might be, and by the look on Ron and Hermoine's faces he doubted if they knew any better. The fact that Ron had no clue rather unsettled Harry as well, having grown up in a wizarding family, Ron should know what Wizarding towns they might be near, and if he didn't know where they were, they were more than a little lost.

"Charms, transfiguration, Defense against the Dark Arts . . ." Ron continued. "What kind of magic do you specialize in?" He asked.

Again, Hermoine whispered to Harry as Ron continued bantering. "If they're not Muggles, but they're not familiar with Mimblewimble, who are they?"

"Beats me if I know." Harry asked. "We might try asking if we're still in Britan." He suggested, though he doubted (or perhaps very greatly hoped) that such international travel could be so easy.

Kiri stared at the boy with the flame red hair. "Charms? Defense against the Dark Arts? What Dark Arts? You mean Black robes? But you're wearing Black robes!" Kiri felt her impatient nature taking over and took a deep breath. Frustration was not going to help right now. "I have never heard of a place called Britain or Hogwarts. And if you haven't heard of Haven..." An idea dawned in her mind. "Haven is a large city...You'd have to come from an extremely isolated place to not have heard of it...Have you heard of Solace, Palathas, or Qualinost?" When the 3 humans shook their heads, Kiri let out a large breath. There was that frustration again.

"We should leave this place. I'm staying with a red robe friend on mine. Her house is large, you can all stay there till we figure this out." Ron and Hermoine nodded and started out the door. Harry's expression was different. He looked curious and not at all in a hurry to figure anything out.

* * * * *

Kiri-Koli sat in the large room that her friend, Ankasamun, had given to her. It was lavishly decorated with marble walls and tapastries depicting many famous scenes from history.

"May I come in?" Kiri looked up startled. Then she smiled. "Ankasamun! Come on in. Have you met them?"

"Yes...they are very strange. What do you think about them?"

"I'm not sure yet...they obviously come from somewhere very different...two of them seem very anxious to get back to wherever they come from...but the third, Harry, the one with green eyes...he's different."

Ankasamun nodded. "His eyes are very similar to yours..."

"What are you saying?"

"Nothing. Something I just noticed...that's all. Anyway I have some news from Wayeth. There's been some kind of ripple in all of the magic...Everyone had felt it, especially the black robes. They feel that something of great evil is coming, though it is not of nuitari. It's very odd. One of the black robes had a dream at the very moment it happened...A dream he says was given to him by Nuitari. He only remembers one word: Voldemort. Know anything about it?" Kiri shook her head. "Perhaps you should ask the kids..."

Kiri couldn't sleep. She lay in an incredible comfy bed, it's sheets cool against her soft skin. And she couldn't sleep! "I hate this!" she muttered. Sighing, she sat up and dressed in her silver robes. The halls were quiet, deserted. Everyone else is sleeping, she thought bitterly. Maybe the children will be awake.

They were, indeed. The two nervous ones still looked, well, nervous. Harry kept rubbing his scar compulsively. "How are you all doing? Hungry?" Three heads nodded. Kiri sighed and wearly called on her magic. A veritible feast appeared on the lavish table at the center of the room. "Opps...didn't mean to make so much..." The kids didn't seem to mind, nor did they look surprised. Though they hestitated before touching some of the food.

"There was something I was going to ask you..."

"You look tired." Harry stated. "You're very observant." Kiri returned sarcastically. Harry, instead of getting angry, flashed her a smile. Kiri returned it.

"I remember now! Ankasamun, the owner of this house, you guys met her, well anyway, she brought me some news from Wayeth, and asked me to ask you if you knew about it, you won't but I'll ask anyway." This entire sentence was said in one breath and Kiri had to pause before she could continue.

"Do you guys know of a person named Voldemort?"

Hermoine had noticed with some despair Harry's unrest, but as she and Ron still had no clue about anything, there was little either of them could do to make things any better. Then, Kiri entered, looking disheveled and half-asleep, asking if they were hungry. Of course they were, they hadn't eaten for hours, and after a spoken word the table was piled high with food.

Strange food. Some foods none of them had ever seen before. They were all a little hesitant in filling their plates, but everything smelled so good and they were so hungry that eventually their fears were forgotton. Hermoine had a plate full of these wonderful spiced potatoes when Kiri continued. They all listened as they ate, but then the unexpected happened and Ron almost chocked on a moutful of bread.

"You-know-who is here?" Hermoine nearly screamed.

"He can't be, can he, Harry?" Ron and Hermoine looked over at Harry quickly. Things had gone from bad to much, much worse.

"how can I ezplain somthin gto sommeone who doesn''t understand?" he mused softly "How can I explain somthing that I don't even quite understand..." Harry paused, and looked up at Kiri. "how do I begin? It also produced, Voldemort, a power hungry mad man, intent on revenge on all the wizarding community." Harry paused again, when Ron intterrupted. "and Harry is his number one Target!" The other two cringed at the mention of You-Know-Who's name, but that didn't stop Ron from making a random, if somewhat degrading comment, which earned him a quite-painful jab in the ribs by Hermoine's elbow."I think our definitions of yelling are different, because when you said I yelled at you , I hadn't thought that I did."

Kiri shivered and rubbed her hands together absently. As Harry was talking a cold had descended over the young mage. She felt fevorish, as if her blood was boiling while her skin froze. She knew she looked deathly pale and hoped the children wouldn't notice. She had figured that they had come a long way but this! It sounded so similar to her own story that she couldn't help feeling sick. Her mind wandered back to the Valley of Vanished Moons and her own childhood...She had lived among the greenest of mountains, learning the magic of her Shlafie, the wisdom of her ways...and then a corrupt mage bent on revenge had come and her life had forever changed...

Kiri-Koli drew a breath, shaking away such memories. Now was not the time for mourn for the past. She focused on Harry's question.

"I fear you are a long way from the life you have known. I do not know where this...existance...is in relation to your home but undoubtely it is very far. I heard about the coming of this...Voldemort from the Tower of Wayeth. It is the center of all magic here on Krynn. I asked about your robes because those of black are alined with Nuitari, an evil God. Black robes do nothing if they do not see how it can benefit themselves. I am of the silver robes and dedicated to balance, like those of the red. White robes are dedicated to good..."

She paused to gather her thoughts. "Perhaps we should go to Wayeth...surounded by so many mages is sure to be good protection..." she mused aloud.

"Yes, we shall go there...and Harry I'm sorry but I need to know the danger. Why is this Voldemort after you and what powers does he have?"

Kiri shook her head suddenly. "It's not fair of me to ask you these questions now. Get some sleep. I shall make preparations for our departure. You may tell me when you are ready." She held up a hand to ward off any protests and the left the room, hoping they would get some sleep.

Leaning against the closed doors Kiri let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. She shivered again, violently, and then swore to whatever god was listening that she was not going to allow these childrens lives to be torn out from under them. She could not let what happened to her happen to anyone else. No matter what sacrifices would have to be made.

((OOC: This is funny cuz this char, Kiri, does have a story very similar to this. I established it not too long before I entered this thread...and no I don't really see the connection between Dumbledor and Fizban...heh sorry. I think we need someone to play Voldemort))Good becomes ignorant.

OOC; This thread is getting interesting; I think I'll join. As usual, I'll be Selendrile. She may be small (60 feet long) but she has a very good sense of magic, and is quite intelligent. Hmmm, I wonder... If someone plays Voldemort I want to talk to him! Maybe he could stumble across my hidden cave (it's in a forest behind a curtain of hanging vines). IC:

Selendrile sat bolt upright from where she slept deep in her hidden cave. Her ears pricked up like a cat, and she raised both head and neck from the floor to peer through the living shroud that concealed her lair. She sensed great magical power, a feeling that hummed in her very bones and sang in her sharp ears. She knew something unnatural was happening this night, and someone was nearby- someone with enormous magical power. Someone unspeakably evil. She rolled to her feet, straining her eyes to catch a glimpse of this person. It was night, and the stars sparkled in the sky. Her eyes, accustomed to the dark, scanned the undergrowth. But whoever it was, they were not here. Intrigued, the albino blue dragon stumbled out through the hanging curtain of vines and stretched her neck to the fullest. Then she unfurled her wings and took to the air, following the trail of tantalizing magic.

"Right, since Dumbledore's not here . . ." Hermoine added. She looked at the confused face of Kiri and explained; "Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster at Hogwarts, is the only person You-know-who is really afraid of."

"He's probably the greatest wizard alive!" Ron happened to glance toward Harry, and out the window, where he noticed a gimpse of white sail off past the window in the distance. "What's that?" Selendrile banked sharply to the left, passing a small house. As she flew by, she recieved a sudden jolt of realization. Here was another thread of magic, powerful in its own right, though not as faint or as tempting as the previous whiff the albino had gotten. Still, whomever was the owner of this new tidbit of energy was nearby, probably inside the house she had just flown over. Interesting. The dragon circled lower, and landed in a large grove of nearby trees. She curled up, laid her head down onto her forefeet and watched the house. She could only hear snatches of conversation, but she saw two young humans and an older one- a silver-robe. Selendrile's pale red eyes suddenly gleamed in delight. They thought she was a white dragon! That would lessen their expectations of her intelligence and give her an edge.
The white dragon concentrated and drew a magical net of shadow over herself. From here, she could watch without being seen by those within- if they didn't know she'd cast the spell. Creeping closer, Selendrile came up to within five yards of the house, making her sixty-foot length as compact as possible. Now she peered in, watching the three people returning to their beds. Not much would happen until the morning, she realized, and decided to return to the grove. She'd have to be careful- the spell would wear off about halfway through the night. But the albino dragon was having a hard time staying awake. Her eyelids began to droop...
She was asleep before her head sank to the ground.

Harry scrambled to get up, and clutched the cloak close to find that he couldn't find what he tripped over. or couldn't see it rather. hesitently, he reached out and felt the invisible barrier of something very big, and ALIVE!

Kiri-Koli woke with a start. She frowned as she was not the type to wake without a reason. A second later, Hermoine burst into her room panting.

"H-harry...told...get Kiri...outside..."

Kiri brushed past the gasping girl and ran outside, her footsteps silent against the cold floor. There she found Harry, who started to talk. She silenced him and crept forward. There was something here...something magical. An invisibility spell perhaps...

Quietly she cast a spell to dispel all magic in the area. Then she quickly clamped a hand around Harry's mouth, stifling his scream. A large white-ish dragon slept on the ground, it's massive chest rising and falling rhythmically. Kiri just stared, forgetting about Harry till he started squirming. Realizing she was cutting off his air, she let go with a warning glance.

Letting out a deep breath, Kiri pondered what to do. She had once seen her Shlafie keep a large magical being in place with a strong spell. At the time Kiri had been too weak to try the spell but now... with her photographic memory she pictured the Circle of Everholding. Weaving her slender hands in an intricate dance she drew the circle on the ground lining it with ancient runes and then recloaked the dragon. No use in having the neighbors see and panic. She motioned for Harry to go back inside but he refused.

Kiri sighed. She hated waiting but she must stay here and wait for the dragon to wake. It was risky...she had no idea if her circle, though very strong, would hold the great beast. Shivering in a sudden breeze, the silver robe sank into memorizes of her lost Shlafie.

Hermoine followed at Kiri's heels, stopping only to run into their room to wake Ron. As the two ran past the windpow, Ron stopped.

"Come on!" Hermoine prodded, but Ron only stared. "What is it?" Hermoine asked through a sudden lump in her throat. She joined Ron by the window as they stared out at the large beast. Hermoine paused for a moment, and then screamed. Ron scrambled at her to be quiet, but likely it had already awoken the dragon."I think our definitions of yelling are different, because when you said I yelled at you , I hadn't thought that I did."

((OOC. since I can't be on all the time, because of fencing and all that, I'll have my character be one from a book I'm trying to write. Cindertanin is a Demon, but he hates his work. so he's trying to gather enough souls to be more powerful than the stealer of souls and defeat him. So Cindertanin will be wandering in and out of the storyline pretty regularly. But just in it for the kills. He wears a black cloak to hide what he looks like (a human in black platemail...he thinks this is a bad thing) and he has 2 weapons, his Skullsword, and his Demon's Bane (if he backstabs with it it'll drain the life form someone if it kills them, and he'll collect their soul, fun eh?) He has pitch black hais and wear sunglasses to hide his black pits of eyes.)

(IC)
As Cindertanin wandered off again searching for his past, black holes of eyes looking madly for something he remembers. his demon energy going lower every step. "I must find a city before dawn." he said. A scream could be heard from the distance. "Or could use another soul to my collection... The Lord of souls won't do it himself anyway" Cindertanin hissed, and took off at a brisk pace, hopeing he would get there in time for the action.

Running up Cindertanin saw a great white force fly off. dragonfear stuck him still. "I never intended on seeing a Dragon in this town.. Where is an in. It wold help if I could move Cindertanin said. He senced a few magical presences. "I hope there are no Faeries in this village, the little winged pests bother me." Cindertanin usually talked to himself, noone else interested him in this dreadful life. Cindertanin spotted a small group talking not careing what they were saying he walked past them hearing them say "you know who" a few times. "Children have always bothered me, though I look one... I guess ageing for demons is slow. Like the elves really. Bothersome topic..." Cindertanin walked to the nearest inn in the city of Haven."A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "Where?"

Kiri-Koli frowned and gathered her magic into a powerful shield. She was familar with all normal dragon attacks and prepared to defend against quite a lot. She grabbed Harry roughly by the arm and pulled the boy behind her. Two pairs of green eyes flashed, grim but prepared to accept fate. But fate had better things to do, apparently, as the strange white changed its mind in mid-breath and took off into the skies.

Kiri heard Harry sigh in relief, but she didn't share the sentiment. She bent to examine her Circle of Holding. A small dot intruded on the center triforce, ruining the spell and leaving them in incredible danger. Kiri's fists clenched. She almost got Harry killed! Such a stupid mistake...a voice entered her thoughts. It was her Shlafie...filled with disapointment...how could you fail me like that, Kiri? How? the voice wailed. I loved you so much, taught you so much, and yet you continue to fail me...you were going to let the boy die as you let me...

"No..." Kiri moaned, her emerald eyes fixed on her faulty circle as she sank to the ground. "No..." Good becomes ignorant.

Cindertanin heard someone mumble "no" and turned around expecting to see a crowd trying to kill him. He instead saw a magic-user slumped on the ground with a child near. Cindertanin walked over knowing this was not what a demon is supposed to do, but Cindertanin has broken every other rule, why not this one. "Excuse me ma'am, may I be of any assistance?" Cindertanin said knowing that he would be mocked by every self respecting demon for all time, but she needed his help for the moment. *I hate the fact that demon's can't have any friends outside their race. Life the elves did so many times.*Cindertanin thought. Kiri was unresponcive, as if another voice was dwelling on her. *Her name is Kiri.... interesting name, well being a demon has it's advantages, the child is not hers. Well time to show off.* "KIRI!" Cindertanin yelled, "I wish to give you assistance back to your home so you can rest! Do you need any help?" *I can hear the demons laughing at me already.*"A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "My head... that was too loud. I have to get someone who doesn't use thunder magic next time to get me somewhere. Woah. A Dragon! it's pretty far off though." Paedon said, while landing.
"I thought it would take weeks?" A dark voice said.
"To be honest my old student, I had hoped it would. I thought it would give me time to collect my thoughts, rather than have them be ripped from me. Let me check my stuff." Paedon said while removing his white robe he sometimes wore, he liked the blue one better though. His white hair, way too pale to be from age seemed to go well with the white tinted breast plate and white tunic. Paedons sword gleamed of power. It was not a weak weapon but compared to the evils of this world and the adjustments he's have to make, it was only a little useful.
"How do people cast here?" Paedon asked.
"Mostly by use of the moons. Drawing energy from them, unlike us who draw it from the planet itself." Cindertanin hissed.
"Where are they?" Paedon asked wondering what they would think of a man like him, annoyingly pure.
"That way, but beware, the Solamnic hates magic users and all things evil, like her lineage. Just cast when she isn't looking." Cindertanin said.
"Right, and I'll just follow you to them, you can leave when you point them out. We'll see them probably in a day. Right?" Paedon said as the began to walk, swapping stories of friends and enemies.

Kiri-Koli accepted the help gratefully, more for the distraction then the support. Even for a human, her moods were lightning quick and now the former depression disolved, replaced by anger. She wasn't sure where the dispair had come from but it wouldn't help anyone now and was therefore pointless.

Standing on her own, she turned to Ron. "But he's right, you know,"she said, speaking to Paedon but looking at the young boy, her green eyes piercing his own. "Sometimes vengence is the only way, for only great force can fight such evil...and hatred can be a powerful tool, as long as it doesn't control you..." she smiled. "And in the interest of said control, we shall call your vengence 'justice' for now."

Grinning at Ron, Kiri felt her sorrow leave altogether. Inwardly, she frowned. I'll have time to analyze this later... she thought. Walking into the house, she grabbed some sulfur and woke Harry up.

As for this marble slab chap, he wont be able to penetrate the area, it is surrounded by magnetic fields that destroy any form of magic. The gates are heavily guarded and only knights and people honestly seeking sanctuary may enter.

Paedon sighs, glancing in the door, walks in and decides what to say carefully. "Do you want to save the lives of these children and us? You've misjudged the children. They are Magic-users. As is Kiri. You are the only one who isn't. You are the only one safe there. But... you-know-who can get around almost anything. I've senced him in this world. And I have a feeling he's after that boy. *pointing to Harry* Because when I senced him the most, Harry fell over and was only awakened by that sulfur." Paedon realizing this was a useless fight, Solamnics have a great pride in them, mostly it's their strength, but it can be their weakness. "Listen, Eli, I'm sorry, but I have the worst headache from this traveling. I'll explain someother time... I take it Asto-Physics wasn't this lands strongpoint. I get some willow bark, any willow trees in this city?" "A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "Where?"
Tas whispered something, poking the old man.
"Really? Me?" He said. "You don't say! How remarkable. now you know, come to think of it, I do seem to remember a spell... Fireball. How did it go?"

Cindertanin watched the people with intent to follow them. Paedon again was rambling, one of his worst traits. Everyone was at a standstill. *Must be something that needs a lot of thinking... Could be interesting.*"A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "Where?"
Tas whispered something, poking the old man.

*In a puff of smoke with a snap of the fingers, she disappears*

Paedon thinks for a moment.... that was odd... *Eli* Paedon yells to the astral plane hopeing it links with where she went *Understand that I am here as a guard to the children, if that is what you intend on doing you have my deepest thanks and my complete trust, but I am asking you to renounce your hate for magic for only a few weeks until this whole problem is solved. I hope I have not offended you.*"A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "Where?"

Hermoine and Ron were quiet for the moment, looking from one to the other.

"We need to get back." Hermoine finally said. "I mean, the only thing that kept You-Know-Who in check at Hogwarts was that Dumbledore was there, and we don't have that security here. Ron and I were ready to fight for you, but we all know it'd be a losing battle."

Ron nodded gravely. "Any ideas, Harry?"

"Remember what I say to you." Paedon said. "Evil only wins when good men do nothing. It was said to me by one of my greatest students, who in turn was one of my greatest teachers. He proved that the only way we lose is by giving up our hope. He still lives today but in another place. And I cannot bring him, for he is locked in a war for my land, and he is the only one able to win it. I will not stop helping, and I know Cindertanin would die to protect this child with the scar. A Demon he may be, but he has a heart and knows that this very child could save his world."

"A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "Where?"

*Paedon... I have no hate of magic... I was born of magic, and will die within magic, although I myself do not practice it in the conventional sense. I am a Mystyk. First of those created in the Plane of Dissolution. I live within magic, I do not know anything else. But I am not magically trained...*
These words echo through to the Prime Material Plane, and the silver thread between Eli and Paedon intensifies as she continues. *I can protect the children. Voldemort cannot pass through my spheres without doing battle with me and my brothers and sister. The concept is enless and difficult to explain, but it is like a black hole. You can never travel faster than the sphere of magic grows, so once you are in the only way out is death, or penetrating my magical core. To do this, Voldemort has to fight me, within each sphere, and since there are eighty two spheres in the Plane of Dissolution, it should be quite a challenge for him. I'd say I can keep him busy at least a full week. Time enough for you to find a way to send him and the children back. If you are interested, that is. Sorry to shock you. I use the Avatar of a knight (which is my true human form, I trained for it in Solamnia, and rightfully earnt my title), because it allows access to restricted information, and I am respected... usually. Still your approach was reasonable.*
With that, Eli starts reappearing on Krynn. The conversation was entirely private. She smiles.Rather than trying to work out who is good, and who is bad, just shoot them all and let God work it out...

*Ahh a Mystic? There are some of those where I come from. My students were. They have a great power behind them if they chose to use it. My teacher was one also, but he lives for over 2000 years, he's not human. Well Eli, I understand now. I accept you help and I would be perfectly glad to tutor you in magic. I sence you would be great it in. In mt world I was head or the Order of Dream Magic. A very high title, Dreamknights were trained under me, with the ability to alter living reality into what I see fit. I could be a useful ally if you see it fit. Welcome to the group*

"Are we ready to be on the move? If so I suggest we do as the young Solamnic says, it might be capable of protecting the children long enough to get them home. And if not, Me and Eli will take whatever means necesary, together, to stop.... you-know-who from getting in the area.""A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "Where?"
Tas whispered something, poking the old man.

Eli is surprised by such a candid and welcoming response. Telepathically she says: *Well I accept your offer, and perhaps not only can you help me, but I may even be able to teach you some things.*

To the children she hands over a map. It clearly shows the surrounding areas and also a large, purplish blotch (The fortress).

“Head there and once you get there tell the warden I sent you. If he asks for proof, show him this.” She gives Hermione a small, golden seal of the Knighthood with the words Est Sarulas Oth Mithas inscribed underneath.

“Paedon, my friend, if you see them to the castle, at the inner gate there will three guards. Ask them to escort you to my chambers, and guard the children until nightfall.”

* I have informed my friends, the nymphs, of the situation and they will take care of the children till we return. Then astral project to your plane, and call me. I have no doubt by then the forces emanating from the battle between myself and Voldemort will be plain to one like you. Agreed?*

Without waiting for a ‘reply’ she spins on her heels and begins walking towards the waning sun... Rather than trying to work out who is good, and who is bad, just shoot them all and let God work it out...

Paedon paused for a second and said "You won't be joining us on the road?""A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "Where?"

Hermoine examines the seal, and then thanks Eli as Ron takes a look at it.

"Est Sarulas Oth Mithas? What's that mean, I wonder?" Ron mused.

Hermoine looked at Harry, who had the map. "Where are we going, exactly?" She asked."Faithless is he who says farewell when the road darkens." -- Gimli, The Fellowship Of The Ring

Eli stops, but without turning replies.

"You are going to the fortress. Paedon knows where it is, and no, my friend, I am not coming on the road..."

She forms a telepathic link to Paedon and explains.

*If I went with you I would not only lose my cover as a knight (there are certain things, rituals if you will that I must execute, being a mystyk), I would also expose you and the children to dangerous energies and enemies. I will not take that chance, unless you feel it is absolutely necessary.*

"Oh, and by the way, 'My honour is my Life... Est Sarulas Oth Mithas' "
