Ku Y'leh stood overlooking the forbidden land of Qualinesti, her obsidian black hair flowing with the wind. With a sigh she sat apon the smooth earth content to spend the day gazing at her lost home with liquid silver eyes. After a few moments of reflection she had to laugh, for it was ironic that though her heritage had always threatened to get her exiled it had been her choice of clothes that had sealed her doom. She reached absently to brush her hair from her eyes, stiffening when her slender fingers touched the tips of her ears. Her human father had been the best person she had every known. His laughing brown eyes has always warmed her soul and it had hurt her when on his deathbed he had apologized for tainting her life. She had pleaded with him to take back those words but her cries has fallen on deaf ears. His words haunted her more now than she could bear for she had wondered, just for an instant, if he had been right in his apology. She sat apon the lush grass and hugged her knees to
her chest, recalling her proud elven mother and the beautiful city she called home. Emotion rose in Ku Y'leh's troat, threatening to cut off her air and she banished all thoughts of elves. She sent her mind back to Solace, her human home and where she had first discovered the spark of magic that lived within her. Apprenticed to an elven white robe after her father died, she had nurtured her spark, discovering a natural bond to magic that few mages could match. She seldomly used words or memorized spells, instead feeling the magic. But the ways of white did not suit her. She wished for balance and found it when she had been awarded the red robes after her test. That had been the last straw for her mother and the half elf had been banished from the forests of Qualinesti, never to return. Ku Y'leh broke from these thoughts with a start and realized night had fallen. She looked heavenward, spotting the bright blue star that had been with her since the Test. Rising to her feet with a grace that even a full elf might envy she started to gather her magic into a globe of fire. She stopped, tense, when in the near distance she heard soft footsteps...

Wynter Firecaster slowly walked up behind the half-elf. She beat herself for letting her footsteps make so much noise. Being a pure-bred Silvanesti had it's benefits. The stars shone off her silver robes, and through her silver eyes came wisdom as well as excitment. Nothing thrilled her as much as magic, and she felt the half-elf was harnessing it into something. She stopped walking and composed herself, then spoke lightly to the mage. "A fireball spell. A nice choice for destruction, but what are you going to destroy?" "I find your lack of Pants disturbing."

Ku Y'leh waited silently as the stranger walked up behind her. Standing slowly she looked up and into eyes that mirrored her own. The stranger spoke softly, her accent revealing her as a Silvanesti elf. Ku Y'leh cursed under her breath. The last thing she needed was to talk to a pure bred elf right now. She rearranged her red robes about her and took a breath to answer the elf's question. "If one knows how it is easy to take something destructive and create from it." To demonstrate this she called apon her magic. Her silver eyes flashed a startling blue. A large globe of fire appeared forming a miniture sun complete with spiraling flares. For good measure Ku Y'leh turned the globe blue, her magic usually took on this color anyway. Raising a hand she sent the globe to hover a few inches off the ground. Warmth radiated from the writhing sphere adding a soft blue glow to the forest. Two pairs of silver eyes were held in thrall by the beauty of the magic for a long moment before KU Y'leh turned to the strange Silvanesti and said simply "I was cold."

Wynter's senses were going out of control the whole time. Something was wrong. She could tell that the half-elf was looking upon her former homeland. How Wynter wished she could see her homeland.
"Then, I apologize for my assumption. I am Wynter Firecaster," she said proudly. A staff materialized in her hands. No one knew about her newly found staff. It went through history in her land from generation to generation. But this staff was found by chance. The Staff of Lunitari, the staff of the God of Neutral Magic, was supposed to belong to a kirath, but Wynter found it when she entered her land on a mysterious errand. It began to form to her. It was extraordinary, a staff with a ruby clutched between four metal prongs, and the shaft itself made of ruby. It held power beyond the imagination."I find your lack of Pants disturbing."

Simon felt the power surge through the woodland. It was emense. Just feeling it being drawen wa like a drunken stupper. He followed it. His feet and staff making quite sounds on the forrest floor. His staff is ashen black with a crystal ball held by a gryphons claw. It was a gift from his uncle, Dalamar the dark. His black robes russled as he walked. His black Kagonesti Tattoos ran up his neck and onto his face. So it was easy for him to hide in the woods. As he came apon a clearing he saw two silohets around a blue light. Simon Knelt in the bushes and watched what was to happen.

Ku Y'leh stared at the staff that matterialized in Wynter's hand. She could feel the neutral magic flowing from it and knew it was a tool of Lunitari. A sudden stab of envy ran through her stomach, leaving a dull ache. She looked heavenward to the star that guided her adn saw that it had seemed to move landing just below the large red moon hanging in the night sky. Her envy was gone, replacing by a longing for companionship and knowledge. What could she learn from this mysterious mage? "I'm Ku Y'leh." She bowed low in respect and then started to speak but was interupted by an abrupt shift in the balance of magic. She turned and faintly saw the red glow that all beings have. The figure was close and aware of them. She glanced at Wynter and then called hesitantly, "Who's there?"

Wynter smiled at the mage. 'This isn't chance,' she thought. She bowed in respect and began to speak. "I, too, felt an power surge before you knew I was here. Something has called us all, but how are we going to find out what it was?"
Wynter felt a strange binding to the new mage. She was the daughter of Dalamar the Dark and she felt that this man was related to her. Her staff glowed softly."I find your lack of Pants disturbing."

Ku Y'leh stood silently looking from one stranger to the next. She could make out the subtle similarities in their faces even in the dim starlight. She wondered at their words, at whether this was a predestined meeting or she was just having a bad day. Two elves. She turned slightly and gazed at the expanses of her elven home, bathed in soft moonlight. She shook herself mentally and turned to her companions to suggest they relocate to a somewhere with an inn where they could further discuss destiny. She had barely opened her mouth to speak when an unbearable cold spread in waves through her body. She gasped desperatly trying to pull air into her frozen lungs. Her two elven companions gaped at her in surprise, asking questions, demanding answers. But their words went unheard as Ku Y'leh battled the evil that threatened to consume her. Then it was gone. Warmth returned to her in waves. The two figures stood beside her bewildered. "You didn't feel it?? The magic..." She trailed off as she realized tthat the two elves were staring over her shoulder in shock. She spun in time to see a huge silver dragon burst from the ground, its incredible wingspan filling her view. Dirt flew into her face, stinging her almond eyes. But she could not look away. The silver dragon was a creature of good! her mind screamed. But she could not deny the evil magic that this...thing...was giving off. It shifted and suddenly Ku Y'leh could see that its wings were horribly scarred. Its face was twisted, it's eyes reflecting an insatiable lust for blood. The creature looked eyes with Ku Y'leh for just an instant and she cried out as pain ripped through her body. She sank to the ground wanting desperatly to pass out or die. Anything to relieve the pain. But she could not look away. The dragon rose up towards the heavens, then disappeared into the clouds. Seemingly rooted to the ground Ku Y'leh watched for evil's return. The clouds shifted revealing not a mutant dragon but a sky full of yellow stars. She searched for her constant companion, her only friend, but the blue star was gone. The next thing she knew was unending darkness.

" WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT" simon yelled.
He was completely froze by the dragon.
" Come." he said to the stranger next to him. " We must get her to a safe place."
With that he nelt by her and started chanting. With a flash of light they appeared in a common room of an inn. People shoved each other out of the way as the strangers appeared.
Simon thought.

Ku Y'leh shivered, wanting to rub her hands together in some distant hope of warmth. After a moment she decided such a movement was not worth the effort and concentrated instead on keeping her teeth from chattering. She glanced around and dimly recognized the Inn of the Last Home. Her mind yelled in protest. She could not be in the Inn for she clearly remembered being near Qualinesti. A second later she mentally smacked herself. You're with two mages! a different voice in her mind yelled back. She moaned and leaned towards the fire but it's heat did not touch her. "Here. Drink this." a familar face floated in and out of view as she struggled to drink the pungent liquid. Suddenly the world was in focus and just as suddenly she recalled the evil silver. She looked to the two elves near her and waved away Wynter's concerned look. Simon's eyes held no such compassion and he simply looked perplexed. She glared at him and he glared back until Wynter broke the contest of wills. "We must find the sousource of that...thing," she said firmly. Both Ku Y'leh and Simon nodded but no one moved. After a long moment passed Ku Y'leh looked up helplessly. "Any suggestions on how we do that...?"

Ku Y'leh nodded absently to Simon, suddenly sleepy. The events of the day seemed too many to be contained in 24 short hours and she wouldn't have been at all surprised if someone had told her a year had passed. She also knew of Kalia Majere though they had never met. After all Ku Y'leh had lived in Solace with her father for many years. She suddenly realized two things. One, that Simon was waiting for her answer and two, that she probably looked like hell. Hey, she thought suddenly, I'm entitled to look like hell after today! Looking to Wynter to see if the mage had any objections Ku Y'leh called to the woman still standing in the hall. "Come on in. Join the chaos." Smiling, for suddenly she felt much stronger she pulled her magic in close and waited to see how this day would end.

Overcome with her loss, she waited anxiously for Kalia's reply.

The flight to the famed Isle of the Dragons was a long one but one that Ku Y'leh would never forget. The experience of flying...! It was unbelievable and indescribable. Though it lasted many hours it still managed to end too soon.

They landed on a sandy beach on the outskirts of a large green island. Ku felt her breath leave as she looked upon the sheer beauty of it. It rivaled her home of Qualinesti, surely it must rival the home of the gods themselves! The speechless half-elf looked for as long as she could before her vision was filled with Silver.

A small silver dragon landed before the visitors with untold grace. It just looked them over for a long moment, clearly distressed by the nature of the intruders. Then it turned and spoke harshly to Glimmer. Ku Y'leh blushed. She hadn't realized that she might cause problems for her new friend by coming here... an image of the corrupt silver played in her mind along with a familiarity that greatly troubled the young half-elf. The blush faded. She had been right in coming to this place.

"Darlansan!! I have brought them for a reason!! I am not the insolent Juvenile I once was!!" She cried.

"No, just a Insolent Adult..." Darlansan hissed. Glimmer snapped her head back as if he had slapped her. "WHA-! " she shook her head, Dar could alwas manage a rise out of her. Ku Y'leh followed Glimmer wearily, lost in her own thoughts. They entered a large hall, its ceiling open to the blue sky. Made of the finest marble, it's walls swept upward in graceful arches creating as much space as possible for many dragons that often met here. The silver led them to the far end of the hall, where a ancient gold sat. Wisdom radiated from her sparkling eyes which had kept their youth through the long years. Ku Y'leh noticed none of this, till the great gold spoke. Auricana's voice was oddly musical and soft, though it filled the large courtyard.

"Welcome home, Crystalamira. And welcome to you Simon. You have come far." The wise gold smiled. "And you, Ku Y'leh Starlite..."

Ku Y'leh's head shot up. "What did you call me?"

The dragon sighed. "There is so much you do not know...you belong to the ancient clan Starlite, members of the Order of Centuri." Ku shook her head. These names meant nothing to her. "The Order of Centuri was a secretive society, hidden much like this island. They were of the blue robes and drew their power from what you now call the Phoenix Star. Once, before even my time, the blue robes were as common as red or white, but they withdrew as they were targeted for their acceptance of all races, considered unpure. They hid and were soon forgotten."

Ku stared at the dragon, unable to accept her words. Suddenly she felt very angry. "You lie," she said coldly.

The silver dragon's head snapped around. "Y-y-ou dare!"

"Hush, Darlansan," Auricana's voice was soft but firm. "I know this can't be easy on you, Ku Y'leh Starlite, but you must allow me to finish the story. Alone, the Order prospered. They studied and experimented, gaining great knowledge. As your Order consisted of people from all races, it contained many points of view. They grew in magical power and wisdom. About 200 years ago there was an accident. An experiment went horrible wrong, killing all but your father and mother and...you. No one knows quite what happened." Auricana paused, bowing her head in sadness.

"I was one of those who went to investigate the explosion. I pulled your father and you from the ruins. You were so young and now the last of a dying race."

"Impossible!" Simon said suddenly. "Her father is human. There is no way he could have been around 200 years ago!"

Auricana looked at the stunned half-elf. "You know it to be the truth...and you know what you have to do."

Slowly, Ku Y'leh nodded.

* * * * *

"You called me?" Glimmer asked the ancient gold.

"Yes. Where is Ku and how is she doing?"

"Dar gave her a room. She has...accepted it. I think. She looks awful. Pale. I can go get her...?"

Auricana shook her head. "I want you to stay with her. This is a lot to adjust to and she still has much ahead of her. Give her these."

Ku Y'leh sat, her back tense to the point where she thought she might break her own spine. Her mind raced with a million thoughts, each moving too fast to comprehend. Her silver eyes refused to focus on the glittering room Darlantan had brought her too. She wanted not to believe. She wanted to accept what she knew was true. She wanted to deny her quest. She wanted...she wanted to know what she really wants! One wish surfaced above the rest. Yes. She wanted to sleep and when she woke up it would all be like it was...and she could just go home. Wherever that was. Her usually graceful body fell unceremoniously back onto the bed. She closed her eyes.

Ku bolted up right, nearly throwing herself off bed. By the volumn of the knocking it had been going on for some time. Ku tried to speak, but words wouldn't come. She licked her pale lips, turning them a blood red.

"Auricana wanted me to give you these...." she said as she handed Ku the blue robes and the gold ring.may all those lost in the tragedy of 9-11-01 forever remiain in our hearts...

Ku Y'leh didn't respond to her friend's inquiries. Words were beyond her as she beheld the blue robes. Taking them, she slipped the soft material about her weary body, feeling it instantly adjust to her size. She got the feeling that robe would change any way she wanted it to. She held off experimenting though, as Kalia was still holding the nondescript gold ring. Ku reached out and took it, then gave a shout and dropped the jewelry.
She looked at her hand, amazed that it wasn't burned. She reached for the ring once again and this time it felt pleasently warm to her touch.

"It reminds me of...my father..." she whispered, sorrow causing her throat to constrict. When she could speak again she looked to Kalia.

"This ring contains great power." Kalia looked confused. She had sensed maybe a little magic but nothing great. Ku looked certain though. She asked, "Did Auricana tell you anything about this ring?"Good becomes ignorant.

Ku Y'leh's eyes glazed over and she appeared to be looking through the ring.

"How very odd..." Her voice was distant and Kalia had the feeling she wasn't talking about the fact that Auricana hadn't said anything about the ring. A moment passed and Ku looked up suddenly, gazing around as if she didn't know where she was. Then she stood up and left the room. Kalia followed, wondering what had come over her friend. They walked and walked till they found Simon. Ku Y'leh started towards him and then just stood there, as if she didn't recognize him any more than this place.

Kalia started towards her, intent on making the confused half-elf lie down. As soon as she touched Ku's shoulder, the mage's eyes cleared and she gazed at them with such intensity that for a moment they seemed to be drowning in silver. Then she spoke, her voice barely a whisper though her words filled the room.

"There is something I must do. Something very important. It may involve great peril. I will leave it up to you if you choose to accompany me on this journey into the past. I shall be leaving in the morning."

Ku Y'leh Starlite donned a long blue cape, and walked from her room to the large hall located at the front of this building built by dragons. From here she would begin her journey. She felt empty, as if all emotions had been taken from her except determination and a grim satisfaction that she finally knew the truth. Well, half the truth. The other half lay before her, beckoning, a call she had to answer.

The hall was silent and oddly empty. Ku Y'leh had expected at least one of her friends to accompany her. So much for expectations. Glancing around, Ku imprinted the image of the beautiful marble hall in her mind, to be enjoyed on the day when she discovered the reason for her lost heritage and began to feel once again.

Her last look was one of dimissal and before she even realized it, she was walking the corridors of magic, to the place where it all began.Good becomes ignorant.

kalia ran to catch up with her friend. "Ku!! Wait!!" she cried, as she nearly tripped over her silver robes. uttering a curse, she shifted to her dragon form, and flew over to Ku."If you come here...you'll find me...I promise"

Ku Y'leh cursed as she heard Kalia's voice coming from the normal world even through the walkways of magic. Without any conscious decision to do so, she pulled the dragon along for the ride.

Kalia landed on the ground in a heap. Walking through magic was disorienting even when one was prepared for it. And she defiantly had not been prepared. Shifting back to her mortal form, Kalia looked around, trying to place where they were. She recognized nothing.

For Ku Y'leh Starlite, though, this was home. Her blue cape dragged through ashes as she surveyed the place of her birth. Situated in a large valley, the town of Stars had once been the center of the Order of Centuri. The valley had once been a lush landscape filled with exotic wildlife and gushing waterfalls. The air had been fairly energized with magic. Now the surviving plants were a dim gray-green as if they mourned for the passing of so many innocent lives. A thick mist filled the air, adding to the depressing atmostphere. Foundations of once glorious buildings of unique architecture spread along a brown river, creating in one's mind images of glorious kingdoms long lost.

Ku, followed by Kalia, moved insinctivly towards a building on the outskirts, on the swampy river. This building had obviously been the house of a rather wealthy family and had survived the destruction better than the rest of the town for it was made entirely of marble. It's roof was blown off but the interior seemed intact. Ku made a move to enter but stopped at the door.

"You're home?" Kalia asked softly. Ku didn't answer. Instead she moved to the river. Besides being brown, it was choked with dead sealife which, even after so many years, continued to decay. Ku reached down a single finger and touched the surface of the water. Kalia gasped. Pure, blue water extended from her finger, clearing the tainted water. But Ku pulled away too soon and the brown water moved eagerly to swallow the beautiful blue.

Ku turned and walked back towards the center of town. Kalia followed again, wondering at her friend and the half-elf's blank expression. She accidentally stepped on a crumbing rock, which split in many pieces. Kalia glanced down and gasped in horror. The rock was not a rock at all. It was the skull of a human child, pick clean by scavengers. Kalia stepped back, appalled and her eyes looked at the town as if seeing it for the first time. Amid the destruction, lay the remains of the Order of Centuri. Good becomes ignorant.

It was a quite day on the lands once ruled by the centuri. Then again it always was for this elven assassin. He sat upon a ruined marble fountain that once flowed with clear blue liquid, now filled with a murky brown water as a result of the ashes mixing with it. His inky black cloak and hood moved lightly then settled about his well mucled elven frame as if it had a life of its own. Looking about his thougth drifted back to the last encounter with the Mage who locked into this god-forsaken place. " He's only a mage Rion it should be nothing for you.....hmph." It was usually this way with him and silently stood up to take another look around his long brown hair that flowed down his back showing itslef from the cloak. Reaching up to tuck it back into his hood his keen forest green elven eyes caught sight of two women coming towards the town. Moving his hand to the hilt of his enchanted long-dagger at his back moved towards the back of the fountain then to an alley nearby to the right lf the alley. " People? Hmm this could be my way out of here."

Watching as they approach his thoughs once again drifted back to the mission he was supposed to do, " He's only a mage Rion. How hard could it be? What do you mean you can't get to him? He lives in a tower guarded by woods whats the problem? Enchanted woods? Yeah i'll bet you would. Look i dont care if its enchanted or not that mage must die."

Shaking the thought free he once again took a look towards the women before moving to dissapear into a small group of shadows to watch.

((OOC: Interesting Rion...I've been putting off this post cuz...I don't know why. I know where it's going and all...well anyway. Just follow us and you'll get a helluva whole lot more then just getting out. :)))

Ku Y'leh walked slowely towards the large river that cut the devestated city in half. Raising a hand, she gathered a small sphere of magic and flung it into the diseased water. Kalia watched expectantly but nothing happened until Ku stepped forward. Instantly a shimmering blue bridge appeared under her feet. The half-elf stode forward, sections of metallic blue magic carrying her over the stagnent waters. Kalia followed closely, hoping the bridge wouldn't disapear as soon as Ku Y'leh passed.

The companions moved with purpose through dusty walkways and streets full of weeds. Eventually they came to a large building that had withstood the test of time and the touch of death. Made entirely of glittering gemstones, the walls encompassed all the colors Kalia could think of and some that she had never before imagined. Ku stopped before the building and bowed her head. This magnificent structure had been the center of Centuri life.

The Temple of Balance was made of magic. It's rooms changed to fit those walking through them, allowing for all to enter their very dreams. The interior was ever-shifting and had never been the same for more than one day. It reacted to Ku Y'leh's presense, lighting the main courtyard with a million mirrors. Roses and waterfalls sprang into existance as she passed, as well as many beautiful things that meant nothing to Kalia but were the center of the half-elf's world.

Ku ignored them all, striding forward towards a small, plain door at the end of the great hall. Kalia followed, surprised by the magic swirling around this place. As they walked past, she glanced in a door and gasped. Inside was a place out of a memory...a sacred ground from a less complicated time...how Kalia longed to go inside! But Ku's determined pace allowed for no detours.

After many moments filled with longing, they entered the plain door. This room was no where near as elaborate as the others. At the back sat a small alter, at the center of which was a broadsword. The sword sat upright, locked in stone. It's liquid silver handle had a single blue sapphire at the center. The stone was small but it still stole the breath of the two companions. A galaxy of lights swirled beneath its surface, living and dying in an endless cycle.

Ku stepped forward, her eyes wide with awe. Her fingers traced a group of runes that ran up the sharp silver blade. The sword began to glow blue and the world blurred...

...Aktentashe laughed as Tenin stepped in a pool of mud, ruining his new elven boots. Tossing her auburn hair, she ducked from his good natured punch with her typical elven grace. The human moaned.

"I just bought these yesterday!" he exclaimed, freigning dismay.

"Oh, stop moaning and just fix them." Akten said, still laughing. Tenin complied, and with a flash of blue light the boots were clean again. The small child in Akten's arms giggled.

"Oh you think that's funny do you..." Tenin pounced on her, tickling the small elven child with his slender fingers. The child squirmed and Akten glared at Tenin.

"What do you want me to do? Drop her?"

"We're just having some fun...aren't we Nana?" the human smiled at the child, who squirmed her way out of her big sister's arm and attacked him. Tenin went down and laughed, as he could not catch her quick fingers as the 5 year-old tickled his sides.

"Oooo...let's go into town...I saw this beautiful dress I wanted to buy..." Aktentashe said eagerly.

The 3 friends moved into the city, each taking in the wonderous sights and sounds as if for the first time. People of every race and color moved in throngs, going from shop to shop, weaving through the pattern of glittering buildings and marble fountains. Sunlight graced the peaceful valley. Here existed no hunger, no fear, no anger...here people from the four corners of Krynn lived together in harmony, as sure as the setting sun. It seemed as if out of a fairytale and indeed the inhabitants saw it as such, as astonished by its beauty everyday as they had been the first time they had seen the city of Stars.

Tenin paused near an Irda merchant's stand to look at a beautiful enchanted dagger. "Did you hear the Starlites had their baby?" Akten shook her head. "Yeah...a girl. I don't remember what they named her though." The human picked up the dagger gingerly but put it back when Nana grabbed for the shiny object. "There's also some new people coming in...some strange..." he broke off. "Did you see that?"

He pointed and the trio looked. A swirling blue vortex had appeared in a small park dedicated to a long dead Minotuar mage...

...Kalia blinked. The world came back into focus and the strange glow died. Wondering if she was dreaming, Kalia looked back at Ku Y'leh. The half-elf was holding the sapphire encrusted sword and behind her was a swirling blue vortex.

(( I plan on it and thanks for letting me play.))

Remaning hidden inside the alley Rion watched as the seemign magic user of the group pulled from thin air a blue bridge that corssed over the river leading through the middle of town. Narrowing his eyes slightly he moved fomr his position just as they corssed and moved quickly and quietly through the streets leving no trace of his passing. Finally he reached the bridge and made it across just as it dissapated from the world, leaving only the river behind him. Kneeling down and watching the group once again he noticed them enter a building not to far from him and not wanting tolooset hier trail followed. It was only mere momenst before he reached the building and slipped into the shadows his body melting into them as if he were a shadow himself. The sound sof footsteps were heard going away from him and it only took a moment before he himself was heading in that direction. What he saw next however startled him. The walls and everything else around him seemed ot have srpung up with life. It was almost as if nothing had ever happened here. The footsteps continued to fall and he madehis way towards them wrenching himself from the spectacular view in front of him. Reaching the door a quick look inside betrayed the presence of the trio and as silently as he could moved himself in the door and near the wall mumbling a few words in the arcane and making himself invisible to the naked eye. The wash of tiredness fell over him like a wave but passed quickly. Thanking the gods for not becoming a magic user and that assassins needed only a few spells he watched as one of them moved towards and very old looking blade in the middle of the room. Upon touching it however the room suddenly blurred and the trio was pulled into a portal the room glowing with an eerie blue light. Not wanting this small chance that they might be leaving this place to slip through his fingers he soon followed after the room quickly changing into nothing but a blur.

the light him him like a smack across the face and the sounds of life about him brought his eyes snapping open. He was standing in the middle of a crwoded market and much to his dismay right behind the very trio he was following. Looking down upon them he suddenly realized he had been staring and took a few paces back clearing his thoughts of nothing but getting out of here and back to his own time.

OOC: ok let me get this straight...this room will reflect memories right?? ok...ohhh...got a good one.

BIC: the moment Kalia's vision cleared, she saw herself...younger...by Fifteen years. The human girl looked up to the man known to everyone as on of the Heros of the lance...Caramon Majere. "Why do I have to go with Palin...I want to stay here papa!!" Caramon knelt down. "He can teach you what you need to learn child...now behave for him...ok Kalia??" The little silver haired girl nodded solomnly.

A faint rush shifted the time again...this time the girl was in her early teens.

Palin Majere stared at his young charge again. how had she managed such a complicated spell...and she has shown healing power as well...how was this possible? "Kalia? how are you doing this??" He asked, resting his hand on the girl's shoulder. "I don't know master Palin...I have always been able to work magic to my own means...." she asked, lowering her golden eyes.

another faint rush...time altered...This time the girl is nineteen.

Kalia stood in front of par salien. she was ready to take the test...younger than any recorded...even younger than the imfamus Raistlin Majere.

As the test raged on...kalia found herself victorious over all that came her way....untill now. the huge Dragon stood in her path. The light danced over the creatures' crystaline scales, and brilliant white feathered wings. Kalia stared at it in fear and awe. she had never seen such a dragon. as she walked forward...the Dragon moved towards her. Angered, she summoned a fire spell, and hurtled it at the beast...and was promply knocked to the ground by the same spell.

"what??" she cried, as she stood up unsteadily. she walked forward slowly. the Crystaline dragon did the same. She looked up at it, as it looked down at her. tenatively, she reached out...to touch an invisible barrier between them both. smooth as glass....Glass???

Kalia reached out..and using a small amount of force...allowed a bit of pressure slam into the supposed glass...which promply cracked. Kalia stood in horror, to see that the glass wasn't just that..but a mirror. She was the dragon!!!

the vision faded As Kalia sunk to her knees. She didn't ever want to remember the horror of her youth...the sudden revelation of her true form. "NO!" she cried, and put her hands to her head."Believe in Miracles, and they will know your feelings......"

People who come to this building find themselves in a place where they feel safe and where they were truely happy...kinda like...um...you know what a holodeck is? Well you pick what's in the room subconsiously and it comes from good thoughts...

Okay I have a better way to explain it. It is the Temple of Balance. If everything in the world was balanced (or everything in said person) the building would look like a normal building. However, as there is so much evil and unbalance in the world, the inside of the Temple shifts to counteract that. So as Kalia has been through evil in her life and as people tend to focus more on evil, the building shifts to show the counteracting good in her life. Usually in the form of a memory or dream. Does that make sense? There's another building at the opposite part of town that shows people with good lives, evil. But that building was considered torture and therefore hidden. I dunno if I'll be able to fit that in with my story...))

All at once, Kalia's fear vanished, and a warm feeling of safety replaced it. She could once more take comfort in what she was, who she was. She turned and smiled, reaching her hands out to her friend."If you don't fight for the things that you want most, you will lose them"

((OOC: That works...So let me get this straight. Now me and Kalia are back in the little room, I have the sword, adn the portal is open. The thing with Akten and all was kinda a window to the past letting me see where the portal is going. Rion's already been pulled in somehow...okay. Got it. btw Rion, put spaces in between long paragraphs. Makes it easier to read. Ooooo I have a way for you to fit in perfectly Rion!! There is a new guy coming into the city of Stars and he is raising much controversy. You should hook up with him. :)))

Ku Y'leh gripped the sword in her hand, hard, till her knuckles turned white and the handle dug into her palm. She had doubts, suddenly, doubts that this was the right path, doubts that she would find her answers in the past...doubts that she should be bringing another along. These thoughts were answered when the sword sprang to life, spreading magic though the half-elf's body with a reassuring warmth. She hadn't said anything, hadn't even let herself thing about it, but the dissapearence of the Phoenix Star, banished by the evil silver, was affecting her badly. Eventually it would take her magic away and ruin her world...something that she had to stop at all costs.

The decision was made and with that, Ku Y'leh grabbed Kalia's arm and, ignoring her protests, plunged into the blue vortex. Instantly they arrived in the past, much to the surprise of Akten, Tenin and little Nana.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rion stole through the shadows quickly. Ahead of him was the swirling vortex and his way home. It didn't matter if he was still stuck in the city, for he had a hope of escaping that fate. Being stuck in the past was a different matter entirely!! He neared the portal just in time to see the mage and her companion emerge from within. Determined to get to the portal, even if he had to kill those before him, Rion moved forward. But it was too late. The mage closed the portal as soon as she was through.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kalia stared at the city before her. It was teeming with life and energy. Richs beyond dreams filled the streets and adorned the people. Everywhere people were laughing and using magic, discussing and debating matters of life, and generally living.

"Where are we?" she whispered, somehow not wanting to raise her voice, as if the image before her would shatter like a fragile dream.

The elven woman stepped forward and smiled. "Welcome to the City of the Stars," she said, hoisting the small child she was holding higher into her arms. Nana squirmed and Aktentashe let her go. The child ran up before Kalia and waved her hands about, gathering blue magic.

Throwing off all caution he vaulted forward his speed gaining with every step. Much to his dismay howver as he reached the portal the mage closed it behind her leaving only himself her and one other in the room. Narrowing his eyes he practically skidded t a halt about five fett from them his cloak and hood flailing about him untill finally settling. Unfortunately for him however it was also at this time that the enchantent he had cast to keep himself invisible wore off, revealing him to the two others standing before him.

Ooc: oh ok I get it now. They are in the city of the starts not the temple. lol sorry for messing that up. I’ll fix it right quick.

Bic: A flash of light brought Rions eyes snapping to the portal opening nearby. The movement on the street completely stopped leaving all eyes to stare at the two women emerging from the portal. Taking a step out of the shadows his sudden movement caught an old woman by surprise who nearly jumped out of her skin at the sight of a man appearing from nowhere. Ignoring her stares he stepped away from the thoroughly frightened old woman and walked until he was behind them and the fountain they appeared by. Immediately his eyes widened. For as he came a bit closer his eyes caught sight, through a small rift in the portals magic, a glimpse of his former time.

Wasting no time he rushed forward from his position as he pulled forth his enchanted dagger and, mumbling a few arcane words to hide him from the naked eye leapt up onto the fountain. Bolting around it until he was directly behind the mage he quickly aimed dagger for her throat and seeing his chance disappearing he quickly reached towards her mouth and brought his dagger near her neck. It was then however that she closed the portal leaving only herself and the other with her to stare around at all the people. He did notice however, that she felt her neck lightly having felt a strange cold for a brief moment.

Ku Y'leh frowned, her hand going to her throat. Her skin was cold, a cold that faded fast. Akten looked at her, puzzled. "Is something wrong?"

Ku shook her head. "No...thank you for the kind welcome. This is Kalia and I am...Darkstar." she said quickly, pulling the first name she thought of. Aktentashe barely blinked. "We are travelers. Can you tell me what is new in the city?"

The elven woman smiled, grabbing Nana's hand. "Um...well, there's going to be a large party tomorrow. A celebration of a newborn." Akten turned and snapped her fingers. "I remember the name now! The Starlites named the baby Ku Y'leh!" Tenin nodded, excitedly and turned to the companions.

"A newborn is a big thing here. A cause for celebration. Baby Ku Y'leh is the Starlites' first. Lady Starlite has a sister with a kid but...

There are also several new people in town." Tenin leaned closer and whispered. "There's some controversy over them...they say a black dragon wants to enter the Order..." Glancing at Nana, the man stopped. "I'm sure you can come to the party if you so wish. But for now, allow us to show you around the city."

Smiling at the two ladies, Kalia still holding her blue rose, Tenin took the lead through the golden streets.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rion ran through the streets, invisible, searching for something to use towards his advantage. The farther he ran, the more his mind became trapped, frustrated...

BAM! Rion looked up dazed. He had run right into a large dark man. This man was shadowed and evil, his eyes a blood red, his skin the blackest of blacks. He wore a long sweeping black cloak and carried a staff practically writhing with power. He took one look at where Rion was standing and gave a smile that turned Rion's stomach.

"Come with me."
