The court of the Dragon Highlord Emperor Ariakas is a very dangerous place, where deception and lies are the main order of the day. Can you survive this strange setting in a strange world?

(OOC: This is a what if setting where the forces of good were defeated and Ariakas and his dragon armies rule the world. Takhisis has succesful returned o the world. I'll be playing Ariakas in this one. You guys can even play any of the characters that might have survived the war. The available characters would be: Raistlin, Kitiara, Lord Soth, Riverwind, Goldmoon, Fireflash the Dragon, Cyan Bloodbane, Skie, Highlord Tanis Half-Elven, there are others so take your pick.) The doors to the court slammed open as Knights of Takhisis dragged an elven woman. She kicked and screamed, trying to escape her attackers. Her attempts only enhanced the strength of the Knights' grip. Upon seeing the Dragon Highlord Emperor Ariakas, rage filled her eyes and she tried to dash for him, speaking curses in elven. She wore no armor and bore no weapon. Even if the knights let her go, she would have died before she reached him.

"Emperor Ariakas," the knight to her right said, shoving her to the ground in a kneel as he paid repect to his lord. "We bring before you an elf-bitch that attacked a whole retinue of your men near Southern Eregoth. Only one surivived, Your Highness, and he is with the mystics. They say he doesn't look promising. We bring her before you in judgement, Your Highness."

The elf spit at Ariakas feet. The knight gave her a savage blow to the head and she fell to the ground, blood eminating from her mouth.I don't wanna waste my time becoming another casualty of society. Don't wanna fall in line becoming another victim of your conformity and back down.

OOC: Could be nice to play with some real chars for once.I could do Tanis. Watch me do my thing. *starts singing 'I'm too sexy'*
Highlord Tanis watches with curiosity from behind Arakians throne. The elven woman who attacked armies! Already legends of her abounded, and apperantly more would sprout now. Tanis notes the fact that it took Arakian so long to capture her. He was getting old, the dark paladin was. Not even the favour of his Goddess could make his life as long as one of elven blood. An advantage to the cursed goodness inside of him, Tanis considired.

(( Fine then Joe. Lemme just get out my makeup kit...))

Kitiara rose from the bed of silken blue sheets and yawned. What a bore this war had become. They had decimated all who oppsed them and now the "mop up" job had begun. She stretched in a feline way and crossed the room to observe herself in the mirror. She grinned, a sight that many men had witnessed seconds before the time of their lives... and that many more had witnessed seconds before the last moment of their lives.A knock came at the door.

"Lady Kitiara?" came the voice of a messenger boy. Kitiara smiled, this would be interesting.

"Enter." She commanded

The young servant opened the door and came in. He started to speak but his jaw nearly dropped to the floor when he saw the Highlord dressed in her sleeping attire.... nothing.

Scrambling to avert his eyes he stuttered out, "Y-your l-lordsh- er... Ladyship. Your dragon S-skie summons you." The boy thought surely that his life was now in danger and wanted desperately to flee the room. Kitira gave him a few moments before her answer, letting him soak in sweat.

"Aw... pity, I had hoped you were here to fill the bath. Tell Skie that I will be down shortly. Dismissed."

The messenger nearly tripped, scrambling out of the room. Laughing devilishly Kitiara got dressed and admired her suit of blue, solid-steel, plate mail for a moment before putting it on as well. Yes it was boring, but Kit could always find ways entertain herself.Arthur- Camelot!

The elf stood from her beaten position and stared at Arakias. She wiped the blood from her lip and slightly bowed her head. "Sir." She would give him no pleasure in his 'title'. Tanis smiles nastily. The woman would have to pay for witholding the title. Araikus was never humble, and now that he practicly ruled Ansalon he was as arrogant as Her Dark Majesty Herself.

Skie lay curled up in the courtyard awaiting his partner, the only woman, no, the only HUMAN worthy of him. "She has the heart and soul of a Dragon" he mused to himself, slowly flexing the leathery membranes of his wings.

Skie smiled, a cruel gleeful grin, tiny sparks flashed amung his teeth. Now that the so called rebellion of light was extinguished, he was free to try and court her.... but how....he could turn into a human, but that would be form only....he would still be a Dragon...and that would be a last resort...to spend the rest of his life as.... He didn't even finish the thought, as a shudder ran through his body.

(( Ahhh... Kalia, you know it's roleplaying when you're a woman playing a male dragon courting a female human played by a man... lol))

Kitiara stepped out of the tower and into the hundreds of miles of rolling hills that had been given to her as her land. Her tower rested in the exact middle of the nearly impenitrible fortess strategically built halfway-inside the largest mound. She smiled as she scanned the land on which her fortress was built. Kitiara was a cold woman, viscous and calculating. A match for nearly any man. But she was still a woman. And this land was right out of her deepest fantasies. Beutiful green grass, flowers, bees, butterflies, and of course easily defendeble from several positions.
Throwing her haid back and allowing the wind to whip her hair she crossed the feild inside the fortress to where Skie rested. His immense bulk always comforted her. She would have him as a companion over any man on the face of Krynn. Intelligent, a great conversationalist, powerful, and most importantly, willing to lay his life down for her. Kitiara would never believe it herself but perhaps she would be willing to do the same...
"Hail Skie, what brings you here so early in the day?" Kitiara flashed him her child-like half grin. "I know how much you enjoy your sand baths. Perhaps we should build you a sandbox here to play in?" Any other human who would dare speak to the great blue in such a manner would have known what it felt like to be struck by lightning, but Skie was used to her jests. A messanger arrives at Arakians court room, stepping gingerely since he knew that any move he made could be seen as dangerous and make him an 'assasian' or 'disrespectful traitor', to be killed either way. He whipsers a few words in Tanis's ear and then quickly walks away again. Tanis turns to Arakias."Emperor, Highlord Kiteara arives with the dragon, Skie. At your disposal, I will go get ready for her."
Tanis bows and walks away without waiting for Arakians permission. The half elf was jokingly reffered to as 'Half-dead', though never in his hearing, as he never showed any emotion since the day he had turned to the winning side that fateful day, and he feared no one besides the Dark Queen.
Tanis walks to the courtyard and watches as the great Blue, larger then most red dragons, landed in the middle of the blackened grass. He holds out his hand to the highlord, helping her down. "So Kit, whats been happening lately?" he asks without any tone besides careful interest.

ooc: I'm going to play Raistlin. I've always admired the mage. If you guys don't think I play him right, tell me.

The black robed mage stood beside Dragon Highlord Emperor Ariakas. He smiled as the elf was thrown against the floor. He cluctched the Staff of Magius tightly between his hands. He watched as the half-elf he had known for a long time walk out. "Another rendevue(sp?) with his lover," he spoke to himself. "..Now far ahead the Road has gone, and I must follow, if I can. She gracefully jumped to her feet and yelled as she ran. "This world is filled with people who are not under your iron fist."

She flew threw the courtyard past the half-elf that was previously by Ariakas's side. She stole his sword in one slick move and ran for the horse. All through this, Ariakas held his temper in checked.
Fools, he murmured, You are all fools...

The self styled Emperor of Ansalon raised his head, his eyes afire. Though he controlled most of the Continent, pockets of resistance are still present. All through out his empire, the forces of good, though beaten, were not vanquished and there are places that are not yet firmly beneath his booted heel. He still hasn't received any news from the army he sent to Taladas, under the command of his son, Ariakan. His had soured his mood considerably.

A messenger suddenly arrived, panting, and it seems, to Ariakas's displeasure, bearing ill news.

"Your Highness, our forces are being overun at Kendermoor. Those blasted kenders have mounted a lightning raid. They have killed the ogre batalion you sent there!"

The news clearly brought displeasure upon the Emperor's face. The messenger was about to stand when a bolt of fey energy lashed out from Ariakas' fingertips and disintigrated him.

Should I send him? It is known that he was friends with the top leaders of the Kender Rebellion, the one name Tasslehoff Burrfoot. Should I trust him with this one mission.

The emperor's eyes darkened for a moment as he turned his gaze to both Tanis and Kitiara (OOC: Oh I wish we have a Soth player, that would definitely add spice to this).

*How dare he address me like that* The emporer thought. *Still, I need him. So few people I can say that of. But I cannot find this other planet of his, this "Pern" without him. Well, that is far in the future, so now back to the present.*

"Greetings, dragonrider. I trust your dragon and lizard are in good health."

"Endy remains in good health, my lord," The rider spat out the last. "As to my dragon Sarumth, your spellcasters would be the better judge of his health right now."

"Do not worry, J'mes, he is being well taken care of."

The pale dragonrider shakes momentarily, then steadies himself. "As I began, sir, I was continuing my studies in the Library of Palanthas, Endy returned with word from Taladas. The Thenol have joined forces with us, as have the dragon knights. Starting in the southwest the armies have traveled clockwise around the continent. The courtroom darkened as a vision of death approached through the main doorway. The creature seemed to have once been a great knight of Solamnia by the rank on his armor, but that must have been many centuries ago. The armor was rusted and worn, practically falling from his ghostlike visage, and his red eyes shimmered from beneath his great helmet. The creature paid no heed to any but his current master, he merely walked by them straight to Ariakas. The great Lord Soth had returned. He knelt down before his master until he was granted permission to rise and state his business.

"Lord Ariakas," he stated, his voice sounding hollow but powerful at the same time, "I bring news from Nightlund. My armies have defeated the solamnics and they have retreated unto Solanthus. What do you wish of me o' lord." At his words the other generals that were assembled trembled in fear of the mere presence of this great monster. All knew well that they could never hope to stop this monster if he should turn on them. Soth awaited Ariakas' response in perfect silence as the generals waited as well. With a heavy fist, The Emperor smote the double doors to his inner sanctum. The room is about the size of a mid size mansion, and was filled with war booty and treasure all over Ansalon. His Guardsmen bowed and silently closed the door.

"How was your court today beloved?" A woman's voice ringed through the air.

"Those fools are but pawns that I could throw away at any moment. Come over here, my love, and help me take this armor off.."

The woman rubbed Ariakas's neck as she helped unbuckle the breastplate of ornate magical armor. She slid the Emperor's tunic and hose as she pulled him closer.

"I am glad that you are still in a good mood. I don't like making love to you when you have other problems in your mind..."

Tanis bows to Arakias as he leaves. The half-elf is extremly annoyed at the fact that the golden skinned mage is given the victory over Solanthus, but that is all. Killing the kender that started the rebbilion, and one of the LAst Heroes of the Lance not dead or subverted to the cause of the Dark Queen would still take him one step further in Takhisis's favour.
Tanis summons an aid. "Take a dragon from the stables, and go to the green dragonarmy. I will require 50 dragons and riders, and a thousand horsemen. They will mobolize in the wood near Kendermore... i forget the name. The dragons will be disguised in illusions, and they are to do the same to the horsemen as soon as they arrive. Now go!"
The half elven highlord turns to Kit. "So Kit, would you rather stay with lover boy over here," he points to Soth, "Or will you take up my offer for second in command? Of course, we will use only my army, theres no need to encumber us with dragons loyal to you."

(here's a bizarre plot twist for ya)
A lone figure clad in bright Solamnc armor trudged toward kendermore a naked shining blade at his side. As he walked nature seemed to recoil from the knight as if he was something most unnatural. The figure stoped and gazed long into the distance the knight didn't know why he was going or where but he had to be there his memory was a blank his past a fractured assortment of strange visions but he had to be here though he knew not why. The man walked with out fatigue untill he entered the kender territory. As he did a band of kender scouts recognising his armor saluted and said "good day good Solamnic Kn..." the kenders words caught in his throat as he relized in kenderish wonder that the knight was not but a suit of armor. " wow a knight haunt but your spoused to be linked to where you died did you die here I never knew any knights died here wowie that's so cool" . The knight memory flared with the kenders words and his vision faded to see a broken tower and an elderly mage standing over him ans speaking "Sturm you are dead the tower has fallen you haved failed and so the tide of events are set in motion my sister will walk krynn once more but she can be stoped you are to be an instrument of good as my power ebbs as hers grows I will grant you a second chance as the best way I can you will be a knight haunt only more so you will find your battle skills remain but your memories will not but they may come with time and you will exist until you have completed your mission then you will be tooken to my side" with that the knight ignored the kender and proceeded to kender more the bright blade in hand he wondered who he was who Sturm was and why the name Tas kept floating threw his mind.

Tasslehof's gloomy thoughts were interupted by a handful of kender barging through his door. One of them stepped up and said " Hey, there is something really weird heading toward Kendermore!" The others nodded their heads emphatically. "What?" asked Tas. "A big suit of Solamnic Knight's armor moving on it's own! I mean, normally that would be very interesting, but it sort of gave me an eerie feeling." Tas thought of Lord Soth, but he was fighting the Solamnics. Of course, he could easily appear wherever he wanted. "Umm...take me to it." Tas ordered."Where in the nine hells did you ever find the notion that I would fight fair?"

Autumn found herself in the dungeons of the Emperor. She looks around her cell, taking in the accommidations of the cell. One door, a layer of straw, and a bucket for disposing. "Great. I have an army of elves waiting for me and I'm stuck in here. Can it get any better?" As she finished, she heard footsteps coming down the hall. She heard no other voices so either they were alseep or the knight was after her. "It gets better." She moved her hand along her belt and found the dagger hidde there. She pulled it out and hid it in her hand. She tried to stand but her leg was broken. She noticed how hard breathing was for her. She took in her casualities and pretended to sleep as the knight unlocked her door.

"Elf bitch is sleeping. Just my luck. Well, I'll see if she has any gold. My commander won't care..." As he bent over her, she thrust the dagger into his side wear his armor didn't cover. A few hours later, Venom and his Lord are high above kendermore, masked by an invisiblty spell. Tanis smiles as he see's the 'army' of kender, with the companys all sharing interesting items and the officers playing 'tag'. Oh, the kender would assemble as soon as battle began...but it would take time. Venom hisses along with his master and heads for the disguised army, a few miles away.

Sturm walked ever closer to kendermore passing by kender uncaring of their joyful wonder at his vary being and the endless questions they asked of him. The armor animated by the dead mans sprit looked skyward for a moment his eyes able to see that witch no living being could watched the invisible green overhead as another memory wracked his mind. This of a tower wall he standing on its battlements and a blue dragon in flight he stood alone sword in hand and was prepared to die for the oath and the measure. He raised his blade and fought the blue lady but in the end her lance found its mark and he fell. As the memory faded he noticed the kender army and knew some how inside that he would be needed here and so he simply stoped and watched the dragon oblivious to any thing else that happened around him.

Ariakas pulled Laurana closer as they lay together upon his bed. Their lovemaking was long and passionate and has brought certain things into mind. Though the elven princess belonged to him physically and emotionally, she has yet to be accepted by Takhisis, the Dark Queen. It was great that she was given to him when his men managed to take the Green Gemstone Man, Berem, from Kitiara's chief assasin Gakhan. It was easy for his agents to track the wily draconian and 'extract' the location, within the dungeon, where Berem was kept. Several of his agents were killed though when they tried subduing a man called Caramon and his friends, including the leader of the kender rebellion, Tasslehoff. The ones called Caramon and Tika were taken by his chief mage, Raistlin, though there are no reports of where they are now (OOC: Raistlin saved them and lead them out of the Dark Temple. Remmember that Raistlin is the kind of man who would always dispense off a debt. Caramon and Tika have joined a band of elven costal raiders, a fleet based at Gunthar. Gunthar was attacked but its forces held due to the arrival of more good dragons. )

Laurana nuzzled closer and opened her eyes, and stared deep into Ariakas's own.

"It seems that you have something on your mind, my dear..." Ariakas rumbled.

A half grin answered Ariakas as he looked into Laurana's eyes.

Autumn strolled through the courtyard of the castle and entered the dragon stables. Her disguise she acquired in the dungeons held so far. She looked around, hoping to find an allied silver, brass, bronze, gold, or copper among the ranks of dragons. Since Ariakas presented himself as Emperor, many dragons where not strong of mind and drifted sides. Some were spies, also. She saw a giant silver and walked towards it. The stablemaster came toward her. "What do you need, Sir Knight?"
"Dragon Highlord Tanis wishes for me to take this dragon to Kendermore."
"Are you sure? It's been rather edgy with it's riders lately."

Tanis sits in his dragonsaddle on Venom as he briefs the commanders of the thousand horsemen. "Allright men. This should be one of the easiest battles we've ever had, but don't think lightly about it. The kender may have silver and gold dragons with them."
The Highlord was known for scheming, cold, malicious plots, and the plan he now unfolded proved to be all of those. "Listen carefully, and explain to your troops. You all know the tactic I have for sending a green ahead of our troops, to burn a few and then fly back as if scared to our direction. Then as the opposing army follows it we trap them. " the men all nod. This was the Half-dead's usual plan, and various uses of it had given him a mean reputation among the battle leaders of Ansalon.
Tanis smiles. "The kender probably know of the tactic as well. So here we use the old double cross. We will send the dragon. They, knowing that I am using my trick, will not follow it,and they will form ranks in the direction he went, since they know our troops are there. But...our troops are not there...since this time the dragon has flown in the oppsiote direction of our army. We will attack them from the back, and claim victory easily. Remember, we must have suprise, so be ready to charge quickly!" The commanders bow to the Highlord and return to their troops.
Tanis gestures to a dragon and its rider near him. "You are our decoys. Go." the rider and dragon lift to the air, and head for Kendermore.

Autumn walked before the tent of General Alhana Starbreeze. Her son, Sylvanoshei, was with her in the lastest battles to learn tactics for the Elven Alliance. When Ariakas became Emporer, the four elven nations put aside their differences and joined together to fight the Dark Knights. The Dargonesti, forever hiding in the sea, destroyed the Emporer's armada. The Qualinesti and Silvanesti fought with dragons and gryffons against the air and ground patrols. The Kagonesti built weapons of war and trained assasins to kill the high-ranking commanders. A band of humans and dwarves fought at their sides, making their numbers strong.
"General Alhana, Prince Sylvan, and leaders of the Human and Dwarven army, Commander Autumn Silverbow has returned," a guard announced as Autumn ducked under the flap.
"Greetings, Commander," Alhana stated, tilting her head in respect.
"Greetings, General. The guards near the shore said you had battle tactics to discuss?"
"Yes, we would like you to see our battle plans for attacking Ariakas' court," Sylvan stated, broadening his shoulders. He must have come up with the plan, Autumn thought.
"With all due respect, Your Highness, storming Ariakas' court isn't something that will be easy. They took me there and they had knights and dragons by the tens of thousands. You can't be serious." Autumn pushed all the wisdom into her voice, trying to convince the Alhana.
"The guards reported a silver bringing reinforcements of dragons. Our numbers came in from Silvanesti, Qualinesti, and the Kagonesti assasins. In all, our numbers are close to 100,000. With dragons, we can train new riders. The Dargonesti have destroy some major boats in his fleet. If we can't beat him, we can die trying," the human leader, Deacon Stormwalker, encouraged.
"Only if you order me will I help lead your troops, but even then I will not follow exactly. If we do fight him, when will it take place?"
"In 5 days," the dwarf, Flint Doomhammer, spoke.
"Show me the plans, and I will pitch in my knowledge to make this plan sound concievable. But we must hurry, for the troops will have to be taken across the shore and to his castle in four days. Today we will get supplies ready, and review the plans."

The green gas embraced strum as he noted that he remained unharmed in its horrid embrace. His mind then sparked with memories of dragons the deaths and pain they wrought and the faces of friends he could not remember the names of dying.
The star jewel deep inside him glowed with life as did his emotions. He strode forward not with the burning hatred or undying malice most would bare to creatures that provoked such memories but with a sense of duty and honour that was as much apart of the ghost knight as his armor. The mighty reds assault fell close so close he felt her dragon fire yet his armor did not burn did not damage it remained but seemed to be tempered by the great flames licking it. a younger green confused by the reds swift onslaught charged the small figure of Sturm driven by fear as much as rage and confusion. Sturm watched the dragon hurl it self at him seeking to lay him low and all he did was salute he knew not why he did but he did.
Had the ghost knight been alive the dragon even young would have more then likely killed him but with the strength of death and the shining bright blade in hand Sturm was an awe inspiring sight. The Bright Blade sang true as it cleaved scale muscle and bone the dragon tore at his armor causing wound after wound that would pierce and slay any man that had worn the armor but no man wore this armor the man was the armor. As the last blow tore away the greens left wing membrane the walking armor gazed at the green as it fell not dead but scared and crippled the deep hallow voice said " I will not kill you have suffered enough you know I am superior I give you your life" The green writhing in pain and hate lunged a the ghost knight latching his jaws around Sturm's breast plate that was when Sturm felt one of its fangs slide violently beside the star jewel. The dead knight let out a painful wail that sounded almost as if a thousand screams of agony echoed across the battlefield. Sturm raised the bright blade and struck the dragon hard taking off it's head he fell back and thrust his hand in to his battered chest plate for the star jewel it was unharmed he thanked Paladine he then knew this bauble was given to him by a most enchanting Elven maiden and it was what gave him his power but the why was yet to be seen and as he stood the armor began to mend it self and he marched forward with more names and memories riddling his mind Tanis and Alhana. Even as the wraiths floated over and through the thick walls of the fortress they continued to fight. The Solamnics refused to give up hope, even when the gates lowered by the hands of the wraiths the Solamnics refused to give in. Then the dragons arrived, and it seemed that they were reinforced. About a thousand metallic dragons dove for the front ranks of Soths skeletal warriors, but Soth was prepared for them. With a raise of his arm, Soth called in his ten dracolichs being ridden by his top generals, and several thousand wyverns. The dragons were well outmatched, and Soth could have sworn that for the first time in his long life he felt fear eminating from the dragons.

"Its only a matter of time before Solanthus is ours, Raistlin, this will be your finest creation. For years people have looked upon Solanthus as the home of the protectors of Krynn, but soon they will look up at Solanthus, Raistlins first of many flying citadels."

Soth did as he was commanded, after all one wyvern was nothing to his aerial forces. "He will be back sometime tomorrow, until then continue the assault." Soth then mounted his great horse, a beast with eyes that burned red with as much desire for death as its master. He charged steadily to the fortress slaying knights with only his evil presence as a weapon. Soth did not want any suprises now, not with Solanthus so close within his reach. It only took a minute for him to reach the gates, and what he saw pleased him. His army of undead were not only killing the Solamnics, they were draining the the blood and souls out of their bodies as well. The Solamnics were down to only half their numbers, and even though it hadnt been seen in hundreds of years, Soth let a smile play across his ghostly face (but only for a second). "Soon they will be mine, soon these accursed Solamnics will all join the ranks of my dead army, and no one will be able to stop me."

Deathcringe flew steadily into the attacking forces of the dragons, being a dracolich he was once a dragon himself, but like the rest of Soths' dracoliches he was slightly altered with his dark powers. His body was twice the size of any regular sized dragon, his bones augmented with dark magic that dramatically increased the size of his body. All the opponents he faced showed fear at his very presence, just moments before he cleaved their bodies in two with his massive talons. Deathcringe soon became bored with his regular opponents, but thats when he noticed the leader of the good dragons, Solamirthanas, or Mirror as the humans called him. "He should prove to be a suitable opponent for me" he uttered as fire flowed steadily down his maw. He flew straight for the great silver for what would probably be another quick fight, but since the dragon was their leader he might last a few minutes.

OOC: Kalia, the army is still in hiding...there was only one distraction dragon. Apperantly he was killed twice...*shrug* And Mert, you forgot to mention the Solmanic forces...hope you don't mind if i'll do it for you. Of course, this is before they get decimated by Soth. What else...ah yes, the armies of Raistlin. He has to have them, remember how powerful he is.
Solmanic Remenants:
Troops: Knights: 5,000, footmen 20,000
Dragons: Unknown. Consists mainly of Gold's and powerful silvers. Also bronze and copper in small amounts.
War machines 600 (remember how fortified Solanthus is?)
White mages: 10
Red Mages: 4
Last holdout: Solanthus.
The army of Raistlin (known as the Golden Ones):

Summoned Demonic forces: 50,000
Dragons: Large numbers but unknown. Consisting of mysterious but extremly powerful dragons from other planes beyond Kyrnn.
Location: Other planes, ready to move at command.
Notes: Extremly powerful, perhaps more so than the legions of Arakian. But they are never used, and are considired a myth by some.

In Character:
Tanis is looking at a map of the elven nations, considiring tactics for battle with them once this little attack is over, is aproached by a nervous scout. "My Lord..." he starts. "I have bad news." Tanis lifts his head. His eyes flash. "What?' The scout gulps. "Our decoy dragon has perished. A huge red dragon, thrice the size as Cyan Bloodbane, largest of our dragons, fireballed him. Then a Knight of Solmania finished him off. The kender are out of the woods and deployed for an attack...but the dragon is still there."
Tanis thinks a bit. "This dragon killed him so easily...and a knight! Could this mean an alliance...no, the Knights will be destroyed by the end of the day, Soth will murder them. So a lone but powerful knight and a very powerful dragon. " Tanis smiles, for the first time in a long time. "A challenge at last." He beckons to an aide. "Bring me the mages, and the 10 most powerful casters among my dragons. "
Soon the black robes and dragons arrive. "Mages, dragons. You have seen this gigantic red, of course. I wish for her to be disabled, not killed. Perhaps I can turn her later. Now...all 20 of you, combined are extremly powerful. Can you cast a magic barrier blocking her from intrvening?" The mages nod and dragons swish thier tails."But she will be able to break the barrier with her magic, if she is powerful enough." a black robe adds. "If she does, it will exhaust her so much that she'll be weak enough for us to hold with minimal losses" a dragon objects. Tanis smiles again."Excellent. Begin when I give the order for the attack. "
"As for the knight...I shall handle him myself." Tanis says to himself as he jumps onto Venom. "And now...Charge!!" The dragons lift and the ground thunders with the hooves of the horsemen, as the Third Dragonarmy begins its thrust into the kender's backside.

Soth, standing in the courtyard, admired the work his minions had done. He had told them not to mutilate the bodies of the knights so that it would be easier to resurrect them when the battle was over. Soth then glanced up at the sky and noticed a dark patch in the sky to the west. A minute later he recognized his folly, he was lead into an ambush. More dragons and knights were approaching from the west, north and south. But this did not discourage him, he still one trick up his sleeve.

Closing his eyes he prayed to the Dark Queen to release his secret weapon. A moment later the ground began to shake, and what seemed like rocks erupted from the ground in all directions, but after a moment all who saw the rocks realized that they were bones, bones the size of large houses. After several minutes of quakes the body of a great beast, or what was left of it, stood just outside of solanthus. It was no ordinary beast, it was a creature not seen on krynn since the earliest ages of its existance. It was Wyrmfather, the great dragon that challenged the gods and nearly killed Kiri-Jolith in a great battle that almost destroyed Krynn. This battle left him trapped underground by a great spell, but he was later found by Huma Dragonbane and was killed with the help of the Sword of Tears. But here he stood in all his glory, the most ancient of the dragons brought back to life to destroy once again. Wyrmfather is alive once more, and now Soths army is nearly complete.

OOC: Ah, but here is something that would really throw everything up.

Ariakas stalked out of his room, making his way to his command center. An unlucky servant accidently blocked him as he made his way. Like a man brushing off an inconsequential insect he slapped the man aside sending the servant flying a good ten yards down another hallway. His generals cringed at his comming.

His eyes fell upon Kitiara's second in command, his gaze holding the man in place as he made his way towards him. With his left hand, Ariakas picked the man up by the front of his armor and screamed at him.

"Send for your whore of a general. I want her forces and that of Soth to the shipping docks at our Naval port a Kalaman. I will have her attack Gunthar!"

The order surprised everyone else in the room. Several of the generals started babbling all at once.

"Gunthar?"

"Your Highnes, that is suicide..."

"Our forces are no match for Gunthar's fleet..."

"Our dragons might hold but.."

Ariakas struck the great oaken table with his right hand, splitting it right in the middle.

"I DON'T CARE! I WILL HAVE GUNTHAR NO MATTER WHAT!!!"

The generals shuddered in horror and, after a moment, composed themselves. They started sending dispatches to most of Kitiara's forces and Soth's Command.

"Break off the attacks on Solanthus. All forces are to be sent to Kalaman at once. Send Soth's forces to the northern docks of Palanthas. All naval forces to be sent for assault on Gunthar..."

And in a darkened corner of the hallway, a figure wrapped in woolen robes stood, her golden hair falling to the floor...

"At last I would have my revenge on you Kitiara, upon you and my foolish former lover, Tanis...."

Laurana's laughter echoed along the darkened hallways as she made her way back to her bedchambers... I thought I was alone in the dark... Now, I Know I am Alone In the Dark... Marc

Alhana looked up from the map to see a messanger enter the command tent. "General, news from the spy within Kitaira's commanders. He speaks that Ariakas wishes to attack Lord Gunthar's fleet. He sends word to dispatch to sea elves to deal with the problem partially."

"Thank you, sir. Send back that we will deploy whenever Ariakas sends the ships. Send in my private messanger," she said to her guard as the messanger exited to tent.
"General?"
"Send word to the Dargonesti troops to prepare for an attack. Lord Gunthar's fleet is soon to be reckoned with, and we are going to help. Stay around for any plans and come back with the word." He nodded and left. She looked toward the commanders and nodded. They exited the tent and Silvan stayed. He walked toward his mother and placed a hand on her shoulder. "No, son, I do not. But how can we know until we try? Something is calling me there. I feel it deep within me. When we reach the castle, something will be there. I know it." She placed her hand over her son's and bowed her head.
"I will be here, mother. Father knew this war would be devastating, but we can make a powerful blow even it we don't succeed."
"Yes. You're father was a brilliant war hero. I ask of you one thing, my son. Fly to Kendermoor and seek Tasselhoff Burrfoot, the leader of the kender army. Ask his asistance in the battle. But a strange, monstrous dragon like creature (possibly a dragon overlord) took one pass over mount neverming and blasted it to smithereens. (I won't say who that dragon overlord, all I can say is that he/she now acts as Ariakas primary mount, and I won't give clues... :P ). The Sea Elves fared better. "Lord Soth, Ariakas wishes you to withdraw your forces and move to Kalaman, where you will set sail and attack Lord Gunthers forces." Soth knew this move was foolish, especially when Solamnia was in his hands.

Soth pulled his horse back and went to Raistlin. "Raistlin, finish off the remaining knights, the dragons have withdrawn and if they should return send Wyrmfather after them. Tay: some of the dwarves are with the elven resistance. The rest are in an unknown sitaution. Make something up! Its fun...
Tanis watches the kender army before him as the horsemen thunder in on it. He watches as the back of the army slowly turns and begins to form a line. "It's only half working," he muses. "Venom, put me down. I want to find that knight. Then follow my orders. Begin our contingency plan if that huge red breaks the barrier."
The green dragon lands a ways from the battle, then returns to the air as Tanis dismounts. The half-elf watches, pondering, as the charge of the horsemen almost breaks the kender front. The kender keep strong, with not one retreating, and despite recieving great casulties, the line holds. Kalaman, once a thriving port city, now the main docking area of the Imperial Fleet.

Supplies have been deployed prior to the final attack on Kendermore, but with news of Soth's redeployment and subsequent Elven Raiding Ship attacks, the fleet was wont to leave port.

Suddenly, as Soth's entourage arrived at the gate of the city a massive explosion rocks the docks.

A gnomish and dwarven combined fleet of submersibles launched a massive barrage of a newly developed weapon, the torpedo, on most of the ships. The entire waterfront suddenly vanishes in a flash of fire...

Soth's second in command, Thalus of the Broken Crown, swore loudly in a deathly voice,"Curse those accursed gnomes and dwarves!"

One black mage, exhausted by casting the barrier spell, whirls on his companion, also black robed. "You didn't cast a dead-teleport zone on the barrier?!"
His companion turns red. "Oops."
Venom forms the spearhead of a 100 dragons, cursing all the while those incompetant mages and vowing to never let them cast any important spells.(like all Highlord mounts, he believes he controls the army, not the highlord.)
The hundred greens head towards the giant red. As huge and as powerful as she is, she cannot hope to withstand those odds, despite the formation being sloppy. Green dragons are not the most co-operative of animals. "Now...make her choke on her own fire!" Venom orders, and the hundred dragons breath deathly gas on Malys. However, the greens are suprised as the gas is dispersed to the four winds by the whirlwind on the dragon.
"Takhisis take her!" Venom curses. "Damn it, just kill her!" he shouts, and lives by his own words as he flies over to the red and tries to claws her eyes out. The other dragons also split up and begin to cut into the huge red, like sparrows onto an eagle.

"Load the boats. No elves will be left here. We all ride to battle!" Alhana said from her view point on the flagship Riven. The elves boarded ships. As the ships filled, all armor and weapons were loaded into cargo bays and then they set sail.

A horde of silver, brass, copper, bronze, gold, green, red, blue, and black dragons flew behind bearing elven riders. This will be one for the books, Alhana thought to herself.
Meanwhile...

The sea elves waited as the dwarves and gnomes pulled off their asault. As the signal came, they all swam to the surface. Wielding spears and harpoons, they slammed through the wooden belly of many warships. As three sank, they retreated into the depths and waited once again.

Zeboim stalked her room in a very angry, very displeased matter.

A soft voice tingled in her head... Her son...

The love of a mother for her son...

"Alright dear, I'll do this for you..."

Back at Kalaman...

The sea suddenly turned from deathly still to a crashing onslaught of waves. The Gnomish Waverunners and the dwarvish counterparts started to panic as the sea pounded their vessels, yet the ships of the Highlords remained untouched by the pounding waves.

"'Tis the Sea Goddes herself! We are doomed!!!" cried a number of the ancient mariners manning the elven fleet....

A grin crossed Ariakas' lips as the waves battered the ships. Then, as suddenly as the squall came, it disappeared....

A large number of ships, of both sides, lay battered and smashed at the mouth of the port....

"Dang it. It would take a week or so to rebuild the fleet your Highness..."

With that Sturm lept to the back of an immense bronze as he and it flew into the fray bright blade shining as he held it high. As he took to the sky bolt roared to his kindred fighting with the kender and soon the sun glinted off the mighty wings of a group of assorted metallic dragons as they flew into the greens trying to help the renegade red. Bolt was unsure why he had let the dead man use him as a mount with out a moments notice but he was also unsure of the strange divine voice that had told him to call the others to him. He shock off the feeling as he and the ghost knight drove towards the greens as they faded from sight a gold spat out a word of dragon magic as the greens were engulfed in abrasive glitter dust making them visible to all. Then bolt slammed his small but incredibly muscular form in to a green knocking the wind out of it and sending it spiralling to the hard earth. The other metallic wyrms let loose with spell, claws and breath on the greater number of greens and Sturm motioned for the two chromatics to help.

OCC:Holy Jeez, that was some amazing reading, I love every second of it all. I just wanted to read it all before I posted. Well....here we go!!!

ICAnother messenger enters Emporer Ariakas war room. "I'm sorry to disturb you M'lord, but I carry word from Abanasia."
"Speak fool" replies the Ariakas.
"Lord Riverwind has finally struck a peace with the residents of Solace, Haven and Gateway. They have finally agreed to lay down there arms and swear allegiance to the Dark Queen." Replies the messenger.
Lord Ariakans seems impressed with this information, he walks about the room formulating plans "Excellent, now send word for Lord Riverwind to depart upon Dragonback and converse with me here. We certainly could use his plainsmen as another army, perhaps they could help with the dispose of those repulsive elves"

Back in Que-shu.

Riverwind paced about the room, the worries of the world upon his shoulders. He had finally fufilled his wifes final wish. In Goldmoons dying breath, she had asked Riverwind to do anything possible to save there people, and at last he had done it. Shortly after Goldmoons death, Riverwind had sworn allied himself and his people with the Dragon Armies. Residents of Haven, Solace and other hamlets of Abanasia, after hearing this news began attacking the tribes of the plains with small bands, but now at last, Riverwind had signed a peace treaty to stop the bloodshed.

(OOC: sorry Mert. I wrote down the wrong name, I should have put Ariakan instead. Well anyways...)

Soth was suprised at the sudden storm and the attack of the elves. He rarely ever fought battles over water, and they were tricky especially when dealing with those accursed sea elves the dargonesti. "Lord Ariakan, my wights should not be affected by the water, I will send them under to deal with as many of those damned elves as they can. But as for getting through the enemies lines, I have no other suggestions. I am yours to command." Ariakas rubbed his chin, pacing the entire length of his command tent, his mobile war room.

He goes over to the large battle map displayed on the table, slowly tracing a line from most of his Abasinian forces to his northern territory. A grin formed on his lips.

The fools, they think they can fool me with their false treaties and petty pacts.

He turns to Soth, his own dark eyes blazing in a fevered madness.

"Take your legion and bring the chieftain of the Queshu.... And make sure you bring his daughter....."

Ariakan's face twisted in malice....

The Emperor then turned his attention to defeating the sea elves (an inconsequential matter since he has the aide of the Sea Goddess). I thought I was alone in the dark... Now, I Know I am Alone In the Dark... Marc

It had been a week since Ariakas dispatched Soth to the village of the Que-Shu, and he had finally arrived. None had dared stand in his way, and all will fall at his hands. Soth casually walked into the village and was greeted by Riverwind and his three top warriors.

"Good day to you lord Soth, how may I assist you."

Soths eyes burned with pleasure, "You will come with me...and your daughter will also accompany us to Lord Ariakas' camp in Kalaman."

"I will accompany you but my daughter will stay in the village." Riverwind literally shook with fear from the presence of this monster.

"Then if you will not follow orders, I will make you follow them." Riverwinds generals charged Soth from anger at his words. Soth merely raised a hand and the three men dropped dead on the spot, their body instantly decaying into nothing more than dust. "I suggest you get your daughter and accompany me, NOW, before I get angry." Soths eyes burned deeper with the souls of the three dead men trapped behind them. Two days after the E.A. first set sail....

The boats landed against the shore a hundred miles away from Palanthas, the city now ruled by the Dark Knights. Alhana jumped off the boat and walked to the shore. Three elves waited for her. One she recognized as the commander, General Konnal. The other two she knew only by reputation. Autumn and Wynter, the thief and mage team. Her assasins for the major highlords in Ariakas army.
"General Alhana, I am proud to introduce Autumn Silverbow and Wynter Firecaster, your thief/mage assasins," Konnal stated, bowing his head in respect.
"It is a pure pleasure to meet you," Autumn said, bowing gracefully as elves do.
"The pleasure is mine, Autumn. We should be heading to the camp. I need to give these ladies their new assignment and give the troops time to get there and rest. We march tomorrow morning."

In the command tent, Alhana discussed the battle plans for the castle. When the general and commanders left, Autumn and Wynter moved to the table and sat down awaiting her assignment. "You are my most trusted warriors, and the most capable assasins. I want you to kill Tanis Half-Elven." A grim smile formed on Wynter's face as Autumn's eyes lit up with excitement.
"I told you she had something big planned for us," Wynter said and she casted a fireball and slowly twirled it between her fingers.

OOC: The green dragons with Malys and Beryl are still invisible...oh well, i'll just write up something quick.
The five dragons which were on the huge red before she flew qucikly down are injured, wings ripped. Venom sighs. At least this big green wasn't smart enough to do the same. He becomes visible and sinks his teeth into Beryl's neck,as four other dragons do the same to the wings, tail and eyes of the beast. Beryl falls down to the ground, half dead.
It seems the trick was only half succesful, as a lot of the dragons with Beryl did the same as Malys. Fully three quarters of the enemy was disabled though, and only 15 of Venom's dragons were lost. No time for rejoicing,as a flight of mettalics suddenly arrive at the scene, mutilating fully 10 of the greens with minimal losses. "Enough!" Venom shouts, and sends a telepathic call to the subcommander of the dragons to send 400 more dragons, enough to mutilate these attackers.
Meanwhile...
Tanis (at last we return to my real character) had joined the charge of his horsemen once it was obvious that the knight was gone. They were decimating the kender forces easily now, and the little thieves had begun to retreat. He smiles as he leads the charge that forces them to break and run for the city. Taloc stared at the strange fish like creatures before his fleet. Half of the reinforcing ships of the Minotaur Fleet had fallen before the elves and their allies, the sea elves and gnomes.

"Cursed them. We have no choice. Release 'The Defiler's Blood' into the

Slowly, the sides of the command ship started spewing a strange liquid substance into the water. The substance combined with the sea water turning it from deep blue into a sickly yellow.

A gryffon landed on the outskirts of the Kender homeland. Sylvan jumped off and began to scout through the trees. No sign of Tanis's army, he said to himself. Though Tanis was the enemy, Sylvan considered him an uncle. Raised with Porthios, they were practically brothers. But when Tanis turned, Porthios acted as if he didn't even know the name. Ariakas face turned into a livid red in rage as he received the emergency dispatch from his general, Tanis Half-Elven.

"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING BASTARD? THAT YOUR ENTIRE ARMY WAS BLOWN TO BITS BY A BUNCH OF THIEVES AND TINKERERS? DO YOU THINK THAT I SHOULD SPARE YOUR LIFE?"

In his rage, the Dragon Emperor drew his blackened blade and advanced towards the lame half-elf, his eyes burning with rage...

" THIS IS THE PRICE OF YOUR FAILURE!"

As the black blade descended, a pair of hands gripped Ariakas' swordarm. He immediately turned to face the one who stopped him.

"My dear, you should give the half-elf another chance. He deserves another one, you know..."

General Konnal stood aboard the ship Riven. The message of Gunthar's fleet reached him an hour before and he made preparations to help. The day before, when they found out the High Clerist Tower had fallen, they launched a siege on Palanthas. They took it in a swift blow and left a few elves to defend it. They took the war ships in the habor and any ship that could be used for war. Now, they were going to the aide of Gunthar, leaving Autumn and Wynter in charge of the army. Thousands upon thousands of dragons, of all colors, waited for the signal to lift off. The Dragons of Light, the newly established dragons that fought to destroy the dark knights, were among them.

The two ships that were moored at the starboard and port side of the Elven Alliance's fleet suddenly disintigrated as a bolt of energy leaped from the overcast clouds....

Despair fell upon the forces of good as they realized their folly.

The bright light was only that of a mage, one dressed in the Silver Robes. His short blonde hair shone brightly in the sun and the staff in his hands was even brighter. His sword and chain mail was the only way his comrades and friends recognized him.
"No, even better! Justin Swyftsword," said one of the elf-mages.
"But he died in the first attempt to take the Castle Dragonspire," said his companion.
"Well, evidently he is back!"
The mage walked aboard the ship and stood beside the blue robe. "Am I just in time or late? Travels bring me this beautiful staff, the Staff of Nuitari(sp?). It is the only thing with the power to stop the Dark Queen, and even then it will only drive her back for a little while. I will not some help. Tayris and Kalia, both of you magics with mine and the staff should be enough to save us for the time. I hope you will help." He gave them a charming wink.

ooc: I had to put him in. It only seemed fair to kick in another awesome mage since the Dark Queen is coming to kill all the elves there! For I am Gul'dan... I am darkness incarnate. I will not be denied.

OOC: Threw me for a loop!!!!!!! thought it was gonna be raistlin but the Dark Queen?! Now this is gonna be a tough one. Good twist.

"Of course..........combining are magic is the only way to drive her back. You came in the nick of time swiftsword. Kalia are you ready?"

Glowing a brilliant blue and eyes ablaze a pure hot white Taryis said "I am........"The magic of the mind is within you all. Do you have the power to harness it?

ooc: sweet quote, Taryis!

Justin closed his eyes and his robes radianted all light that was around him. The staff began to glow with the same light and his eyes suddenly flared open. Nothing was as intense as his eyes. Dark blue with lightning, ice, and fire swirling around them. "Ready," he said in a voice that was nothing like his own.For I am Gul'dan... I am darkness incarnate. I will not be denied.

These are the excerpts from Astinus Chronicles of Krynn, under the title, "The Rise and Fall of the Dragon Emperor"

The heroes launched their attack but all was in vain as the Dark Queen's forces withered all that opposed them. One by one they fell, but did not die. The forces of good were about to be routed, their fleets scattered when a great call went up amongst the forces of darkness.

"ARIAKUS IS DEAD! LONG LIVE EMPEROR TANIS HALF-ELVEN!!!"

The armies of the Dark Queen faltered and hope was kindled in the eyes of the elves and their allies. But the light was short lived. In the midst of the dark army, Raistlin materialized.

The Dark Queen's laughter echoed through the parched air.

The laughter faded into a gurgle of surprise and pain as a bolt of energy struck her.

Another form materialized beside that of the archmagus. A man upon whose face an emerald mask glimmered like a lone star at the approach of darkness.

Raistlin and the Masked Figure turned to each other, the golden skinned mage gripping his staff, the other, removing his mask revealing a face so fair to look upon.

"So, Majere, you've allied yourself with this foolish lover of mine. Did you think that your display of power is enough to destroy me? Your both sadly mistaken. And that mistake would cost you more than your pathetic lives. It would cost your souls!!!"

A grin on the face of the man who stood beside Raistlin halted Takhisis's tirade.

"Who said of destroying you? We're here to send you back to where you came from. Isn't that right Majere?"

"You would never change Kheryl. Even as you taught me those years ago, you never changed..." A slight smile decorated the archmage's face.

Before the Dark Queen's mages and clerics could react, Raistlin effectively rendered their spells harmless. Kheryl started weaving a spell in a language so ancient it was all but forgotten by any other race. It was the ancient speech of the Irda.

Takhisis howled in frustration as the spell that the renegade Irda wove bound her, rendering her mortally weak. A rift suddenly appeared behind the monstrous figure of the Dark Queen, slowly engulfing her.

"If you are sending me back to that accursed place, it would be better to take you with me!!!"

With that, Takhisis lashed out and caught Raistlin in a vise-like grip. She slowly squeezed the archmage, intent of taking his life...

"Raist!!!"

A large and decrepit gold dragon landed close to the still chanting Kheryl, a man in dragon army armour dismounted helping a mage in mouse colored robes off.

Caramon rushed to the side of his brother, wielding an large sword, swinging it with abandon. The sword flared with fire as the warrior's firm resolved to save his brother finally ignited the same force that fueled Raistlin. Caramon's blade struck true, decapitating one of the Dark Queen's fingers. The old mage who came with the warrior faced the beast that was bound by the magic of the Irda.

"Again, evil devours itself. The balance that was disturbed by your return would be freed again, returning everything to what it was."

"Fizban, help me here. I can't free Raist!"

Deathly laughter echoed as the Queen of Darkness was sucked into the portal, dragging Caramon, Raistlin, Kheryl and Paladine with her......

And then, silence fell. Silence profound descended upon the battlefield....

And the startling realization to everyone that their gods have left them to their own devices...

Justin looked back and forth, seeing the acts that transpired. Konnal fell to his knees as Paladine was dragged into the portal. "Gone....their gone..," he spoke outloud in a daze.
"What will we do now?" Justin said as he leaned forward on the boat.

A PREVIEW OF THE NEXT SAGA:

BLADES OF STEEL

CHAPTER 1: The Assasin. Enemy Amongst Friends

Autumn stood in the common room of Tanis Half-Elven's private office with Wynter standing by her side. Drastic changes come upon them both. Autumn's tattoes along her face changed from bright colors too grey and black and she wore dark robes. Her sword and quiver hung from her belt, along with a long dagger. Wynter's robes changed from silver to Black. An evil smile played upon her lips. Darkness floated around her and Autumn.
"Autumn Silverbow and Wynter Firecaster...his lordship will see you now."
They walked forward and entered the dark room. A desk was before them with Tanis sitting behind it, starring at the two with fixed eyes.
"You summoned us, m'lord?" Wynter spoke.
"Yes, your services are needed once again." Autumn's eyes lit up as a grin exploded on her face.
"What is thy bidding, m'lord?" Autumn asked with a slight bow.
"We have word that Tasselhoff Burrfoot is making a journey to his dear Kendermoor. Since it is within my borders, you will kill him."
"It shall be done," Autumn replied. They both bowed and left the room.

I do hope that if anyone choses to play Tanis they notice the little advantage I gave him in this thread before I knew that it was ending. 10 points to the guy who tells me what it is!
