I have no clue where we left off so someone start.

~Before I went on vacation, the last thing in this thread was me, flipping through a magic book and a couple other mages talking about who would be charge. I'll try to pick it up from there~
Lady Katherine finishes her studying for the day, and looks up and the other mages in the study of the Tower of High Sorcery. She grins her crooked smile, and states. "I'm up for a little adventure. Does anyone else want to explore the basement of this place and try to spot some Live Ones? I think they should be interesting.."
05/12/2000 1:56 PM
(OOC: I was one of the mages in the tower. New name.)
Standing up Drorin pulled his black robes closer and desided he always did want to see the Living Ones. "Lets go then, but do we know where at exactly these misbegotten creations are?" His gray eyes swept over Lady Katherine for an answer.
05/12/2000 5:09 PM
Lady Katherine looks at the mage with her clever brown eyes, "It is said the live ones are in a cellar below the tower. Raistlin created the cellar when he created his mistakes - the deformed live ones."
The young mage wraps her robes close around her as if already feeling the chill from the basement. She holds out her hand, and a magical torch appears in her palm. She grins to her fellow mage, and steps toward the locked door to the cellar. It was bolted shut with magic, but by the wave of her hand, Lady Katherine unsealed the door.
A musty odor flowed up to the two mages. Katherine grinned at her fellow mage, "By the smell of things, this should be an interesting sight."
05/13/2000 5:42 PM
A slight glow appears on a wall and a man comes tumbling through as if it were water. Then the wall returns to normal. The man is about 20 and is clad in an assortment of robes. He picks him self up and grabs the staff that appears before him. Pushing back his shoulder length silver hair he adresses the mages. "Hello there, I'm Tarohl. Is this the Tower of High Sorcery?"
05/13/2000 7:38 PM
Greetings, yes this is the Tower of High Sorcery. What brings you here? You may join me on my exploration to the cellar of the live ones if you wish.
05/14/2000 10:19 AM
A middle aged man walks in, dressed in red robes. The first thing that you notice is that his left eye is covered by a black patch.
"Hello, I am called Garth One-Eye. Some of the mages back in the library told me that you are searching for Raistlin's Live Ones. I believe I may be of assistance for, though I wear the red robes, I have studied many of Raistlin's work searching for the fault in his work. I believe that it is possible to create a whole new race on Krynn, one that would serve the magicians explicitly. As you can see I am slightly long winded, but I would like to experience Raistlin's work firsthand. Mind if I join you?"
05/14/2000 5:42 PM
Lady Katherine looks at the 3 mages willing to accompany her to the lair of the live ones. Holding out her magical torch, she takes the first step on the stairs that lead closer to the decaying smell at the bottom.
"Drorin, Tarohl, Garth, follow me, or else the live ones will attempt to attack you and eat your flesh at first sight. They are power, yet cowards."
Lady Katherine grasped onto a sapphire pendant the hung around her neck. "With this, the live ones shall not harm us."
Grinning once more to the other mages, Katherine began to descend the stairs. Soon, all four mages were travelling downward on the spiral stair case. The stench was almost unbearable once the mages arrived down stairs. At the bottom of the stair way was yet another wooden door, locked with magic.
Lady Katherine waved away the magic lock placed on the door, and swung the door open.
She gasped, "Well, I didn't expect the live ones to look like this."

Walking near the Lady, Drorin doesn't seem to feel the effects of the cold but them usty oder that fills his nose leaves him a bit off balance. " I'm thinking a few of the Live Ones are now Dead Ones...and not the ones of Raistlin's creations gone bad. Didn't he leave them food?" Keeping pace with Katherine his eyes watched the walls and the chamber that was beginning to take shape up ahead.
05/15/2000 4:09 PM
"The live ones need no food. They are cursed to live for ever, Raistlin made them that way so they would be able to serve him longer. I'm not sure what that smell is though." Lady Katherine walks further into the room and almost trips on something. Lowering her torch, she sees a gruesome being curled up on the ground. His body is twisted, his faced is deformed. It seems he is sleeping in his own waste on the floor.
Finding the wall, Katherine casts a spell that light up the room. Over 200 bodies crowd the room, on the floor and up against the walls. They are all like the first creature, but everyone of them are deformed in a different way. Some had large eyes, and little heads. Some had legs that curved up around their bodies. They were all horrible looking.
The room itself was round, with a large well in the middle. Some of the live ones slept close to the well.
Then, Drorin moved into the room also. He startled a live one, and it woke up. A chain reaction spread through the room, and soon, all 200 were moving forward, to the 4 mages.
Lady Katherine held on to the sapphire around her neck. "Askhum Bsahrok Rgusti," she spoke. Hearing her woods of magic, the live ones shrank back away from her fellow mages.
"They know not to harm us now. You three can come in without fear."

Garth walks in the room staring at the atrocities surrounding him.
"I'd heard stories," he stutters, "but I never expected anything like this!"
Finally overcoming his revulsion he begins to study the creatures.
"Did Raistlin have a lab down here that might contain the secrets of the live ones?" he asks.

::little purple and pink Faerie Dragon flies throught the portal after Tarohl, slamming into his head:: OWW!! are we there yet? the last three were the wrong Towers! ya'd think you'd get it right by then, but noooo... and then those Clerics!! sheesh! were they ever mean! just because you had black robes! well, i guess we'll never be welcome in the High Clerist's tower again after i broke that mean guy's staff. BUT IT WASN'T MY FAULT!! ::continues babbling like this for a few minutes, then notices everyone staring at her:: what? oh, I'm Liyesta, Tarohl's Familiar! how are you all? =^.^=
05/24/2000 6:51 PM
There is a faint hum from the roof of the room as a shadow of mist seeps through an unseen crack, it wavers and begins to take shape at first it is a beast then a man then somthing else entirely it finds a form it likes and becomes a solid being. "Hi my name is Nitecrawler I am a phantom, a shape shifter from a relm far boyond your own. I have been sent by my people to find the strongest magical being in the multiverse and that surch has brought me here..... Er where exactly is here???" Nitecrawler smiles a worried smile and looks towards the femail of the group of surprised mages.
05/24/2000 6:54 PM
This, sir phantom, is the Tower of High Sorcery. The gathering place of all of the mages on Kryyn. If you are searching for magical beings, this is certainly the place to look."
05/24/2000 7:14 PM
Ah good at least I am in the right place who is the most powerful of your kind I must find him or her for I need their help.
I am but one of many of my kind who are being forced to search out magic in all forms so that we may learn this art in order to survive.
Can you threehelp me find the most powerful who ever lived if they still are living??
05/24/2000 7:31 PM
"Of course I'll help." Leaves his work unfinished as usual. "Where shall we start?"
06/01/2000 5:28 AM
I was going to ask you that question as I am not of this planet how would I know where to start my one eyed friend. Maybe your other companions have some ideas?
06/01/2000 12:17 PM
"The most powerful would have been Raistlin." They all turn to look at the speaking mage in black, silver and blue robes. "I consider myself one of the best but I wouldn't want to test it against anyone. I can shift through both time and space."
06/01/2000 4:34 PM
"I agree. The most powerful was Raistlin. Can you shift others through time and space?"
06/03/2000 9:16 PM
he sure can! how do you think he got us here? ::glares at Tarohl:: not very acurately, but he can do it! hrmph! most powerful, indeed! you petty humans don't know the meaning of magic! dragons are the only ones who actually know what it is! i'm the most powerful here. anyone care to contest?
06/06/2000 5:02 PM
Snaps his fingers and an invisible force gag is put over Liyesta's mouth. "Where were we? Oh yeah... what exactly doea this mage need to do?"
06/07/2000 4:16 PM
"I was so caught up in your appearance that I completely forgot to ask that question. But I see the obvious potency of it. I would like to know the answer before I do anything else, but it is not vital information... at least to me."
06/07/2000 6:09 PM
A grey skinned, black robed elf enters. her hood drawn off her head as she does. "Does that mean there are no powerfull mages left? Or was that power passed on to a apprentice?" She grins then shrugs looking at her fellow mages.
06/09/2000 5:59 PM
"What are you trying to say?"
*walks toward the elf looking worried and genuinely interested*Garth One-Eye
06/10/2000 1:28 PM
"Without Raistlin would Dalamar become the most powerful mage? And what if Dalamar had an appreentice? So many unanswered questions in this matter." Ramoth smiles. She obviously knows something the rest don't.
06/10/2000 5:13 PM
"Tell us what you know sorceress." demands a red robe.
"I heard the whole thing. If your information is new to me, I will join you in your quest."
06/10/2000 9:20 PM
"I have no quest, other then to find mine own roots and I doubt ye will join me in that." Ramoth's eyes narrow. "I may be able to be persuaded to tell. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to give out my information yet."
06/12/2000 7:44 PM
"Riddles woman? Come now share it with fellow magic users."
06/12/2000 8:21 PM
"I am not sure of my riddles. Some I don't even know the answers to. I do know that Dalamar did have an apprentice in his time." She looks for the expressions upon their faces.
06/13/2000 8:40 PM
"Interesting. Do you have any information on this apprentice at all?"
06/14/2000 6:28 AM
The elf closes her eyes. Then shakes her head. "I do, but I would be killed by my kin if I told." She looks as though she has a thought in the back of her mind. *I'll be killed as soon as they find out I came out.* "The answer is obvious. I hope you know what I'm sacrifising in order to tell all."
06/16/2000 10:51 AM
