Come one, come all! Welcome back to the realm of my imagination and yes; this one will have a conclusion!

Alright all, it has been awhile since I have created anything and as such I have had time to sit down and think. But enough with the small talk on with the show!

It was a calm summer day in Connecticut, the cicadas were buzzing, the cars were wooshing by, kids were playing in sprinklers on finely manicured lawns. Yep, it was a typical day in New England. Then all at once something happened; news casters yapped on every television channel, the national guard seemed to make one huge grand entrance and the world felt heavy.

Strange things began to happen; animals started migrating in wierd patterns, plants began to wilt or mutate or grow at excessive rates, agrression rates increased and with it crime rates flew off the charts. And these occurrences weren't just in a sleepy New England town, they were global.

When things seemed they couldn't get any worse, storms began to move unnaturally, hurricanes where there weren't suppose to be, earthquakes everywhere, typhoons on all types of bodies of water.

And even then when things couldn't get any stranger, people and animals, just started falling asleep. Now all alone and with a strange sort of dark making its decent upon the earth you feel your eye lids become heavy and when you wake it is not the world you fell asleep in.

Ok, so that is the intro to this piece. Here is the requirements. This is suppose to be our world so even though there are strange happening no one(as of yet) are magic users or dragons or any such nonsense I usually have. Your characters will start as if they were just your average human beings and later on they will become a little bit more interesting.

Character Sheet:

Physical Apperance:

Bio: (Any past experiences that might affect you subconciously or otherwise. Maybe you fell down the stairs as a kid or something.)

Worst NightMare:

Best Dream:

And again, I plan to see this one through to the end.

You know I'm normally in for most of yours, but I'll have to have a think to see if can come up with something interesting.

12/22/2007 7:39 AM

No rush. I would understand if you didn't want in on this one. I do have a habit of dissappearing. But I am setting myself on a rigid schedule which involves checking this place every time I log onto the internet. But again I would understand if you didn't want in on this one.

Well This is my character for now:

Name: Jane Cooper

Apperance: Jane comes from the upper crust of the middle class and as such, she likes to dress like so. She is found of crisp, well pressed suits fresh from the dry cleaners and a pir of well polished black high heels. On her more eccentric days she loves to toss a silky scarf around her neck and a pair of chic sunglasses. Her pale skin speaks to the days she spends sitting inside her office pressing out code onto a key board and organizing the next big protest at DC. Her blue eyes are calm and friendly but they can speak volumes when she is upset or down right angry. She likes to keep her light auburn hair down over her shoulders but she does do the occasional bun.

Bio: Jane is a major part of a computer programming company that is responsible for the development of better computer gaming software. In the spare time that she isn't clicking away at her computer she is usually heading her organization known as "The Voice Of The People" which aims to decrease the rate of hate crimes by putting more diversity promoting programs into schools.

Jane is cautious, as in her childhood her brother suffered with asthma in a time where the preventive measures we have now were only just being developed. This placed him in the hospital often and growing up in a less than relaxed home. As such she is protective of those she loves and can not stand to be around high tension situations without becoming stressed herself.

Worst Nightmare: Her worst nightmares include the stuff of horror movies. Deformed men and odd fleshy golem like creatures hacking each other and people into pieces in dark lit rooms with meat hooks. Although it only occured once, once was enough. Her other nightmares include anxiety provoking moments where she has forgotten to do something and is being punished for it.

Best Dreams: Her best dreams usually involve being with the people she loves, going off on some great adventure and defeating some great evil.

Misc: Jane despite her elevated income and like of expensive things is pretty down to earth. She can be ego centric at times but good hearted. She talks alot if she feels it is right and listens whole heartedly when she feels that is necessary as well. Jane can be very opinionated and takes pride in that fact too, and she can take some peoples opinions as a personal attack.

NPC's are allowed just post their character sheets with yours.

Wow, this sounds interesting, and i like it. Count me in, just give me time to create a character sheet.

12/22/2007 2:22 PM

Name: Trey Wilson

Age: 26

Sex: Male

Appearance: Trey is an average guy standing at 5'9", with short brown spiky hair and Bright and vibrant green eyes. He is of athletic build, and usually wears slightly baggy jeans with athletic fit T-shirts and some nice New Balance running shoes.. He has a white gold chain necklace he always wears with no charm.

Personality: Trey is a relatively happy and easy going guy. He is great with people, and is relatively outgoing. He has a great sense of humor and is a fairly nice guy. Trey has been known to go way out of his way to help those he likes as friends. As nice a guy as Trey is, he however is not quick to trust others, or let them get too close to him. He tends to hold people at arms length away with his sense of humor, and smile.

Bio: Trey's childhood was a normal and happy life. His mother stayed at home and always cooked up delicious meals; his father worked hard and made good money as a business man. He always had good grades, and was a skilled athlete. He was the star running back of the football team, and one of the fastest runners on the 100 meter dash. Trey also set records for the long and high jumps. After high school trey took a year off from school and lived a relaxed life at home. His mother began cheating on his father, and soon after his father found out causing a divorce.

Trey began living with his father and continued his schooling to become a business man like his father. He broke off all contact with his mother, and continued to live a happy life. His father paid for his schooling, car, motorcycle, and following speeding tickets. He was a spoiled kid, but didn't show it in the way he acted. He was genuinely nice and was always going out of his way to help his friends.

Today Trey lives on his own in a large house and has a great job working under his father.

Worst Nightmare: Trey doesn't dream often or at least he doesn't often remember them. But the worst one he can remember is one where he is running from somebody and cant escape. He continually loses the pursuer but then he suddenly reappears. Trey cant figure out why it scares him soo much but every time he has this dream it scares him sensless. He doesn't know who the pursuer is or what he looks like, he just knows that if he is ever to be caught his world will end.

Best Dream: Trey's best dream simply consists of finding a beautiful woman who loves him and marrying her, living a happy life and raising a great family. It is one of the few things in life Trey has ever failed to accomplish in life.

Misc: Although Trey lives the good life, he isn't stuck up or obnoxious, and he still even to this day always goes the extra mile to help his friends and family. Although Trey hides it he is greatly lonely, and for some unknown reason has never had a relationship that succeeded beyond 3 months. His life is one of those typical stories of men who have everything they could want except the love of a woman.

Excellent, excellent we have our first two characters. Well, Evilmouse has emailed me some brilliant questions that I think all should hear the answers to.

First of all, and you would have found this out in the first couple of posts, when you awake you will all be together in some sense of the word. You won't have to go tromping through this new dream like state to find eachother.

Your task will be stated more directly in the first couple of posts.

As for magic, transfomations and the like: all I can say now is play it by ear. You will be informed in fairly obvious ways of what can be done and what can't be done at certain times. Just take your cue from me and at times I am willing even to relax and let someone else take control for a bit if they feel it could lead to some intereting scenarios. I'm a fairly relaxed GM. Well if we get at least one more person I would be willing to get this party started.

Oh by the way, if someone wants to come in at any point in time just let me know. This scenario is built so that people can come and go as they please without interrupting plot too much. Before you enter tell me in the OOC me and if you need to take some time off just email me so I can write that in.

Thanks all!

hmm sounds good. Lights Out is infrequent at best so I think I'll join. Give me a couple of days to come up with a character.

12/23/2007 8:47 AM

*(That's how you spell sheek right?)

Chic, dear, no k ;)

12/23/2007 8:58 AM

This reads pretty well. I'd like to join. I tend to be a little excetric and long winded with my characters, so if it doesn't bother you it might take about a week or so for me to come up with something.

12/23/2007 9:28 AM

Thank you Nanuk, always here to save my bum when it comes to grammar and spelling.

And as for LibraRabbit, take as long as you need. Like I said this is engineered so that people can come in at anytime, so if we start, don't fret.

I'll wait till we get a couple more character sheets up and then I will start the first post in General Roleplaying.

And I fixed the chic.

12/23/2007 10:14 AM

Name: Gitana (Ana) Baker

Age: 23

Gender: Female

Physical Appearance:
Gitana as long black hair (dreds), slightly tan skin, and dark green eyes. Her hair is usually pulled back into a ponytail and wears a dark green headband. She has six piercing in ear hear, and has a piercing in her nose. She usually wears blue jeans with half of a flow skirt hanging off of her hips. The skirt is white with protection knots in black a green on it. She wears combat boots, cause she thinks they are cool. She normally wears a black hoodie, but underneath she is wearing a green tank top with a see-through long sleeve shirt.
She has tattoos. She's got a trifecta (The Charmed symbol without the circle) on her left arm, the tree of life on the right, a dragon the wraps from her left shoulder to her right side, She's got a pair of dice (snake eyes) on her right shoulder, a tribal Gypsy tattoo on her left side, and lastly she has a cross and pentacle (pagan not satanic) overshadowing one another on her lower back (not in the aim here spot. Higher then that)

Gitana (Ana) Baker is and always been some flavor of the lower middle class. She was named Gitana by her grandmother to remind her where her family came from. Her grandmother was a survivor of the holocaust. Her mother's family was gypsies until WWII. Her family is interesting like that. Her Mother was originally a pagan, while her father is, therefore her mother now is, a Catholic. She is the youngest out of six. She is also the only girl.
Growing up her Father tried shelter her, while her mother and grandmother secretly taught her the ways of her ancestors. Her brothers showed little to no interest in their own history. She loved it. Her and her father never got along very well at all. He used to abuse both her and her mother.
When she was 18 her father disowned her, cause she denounced his religion and embraced paganism. She now works, and has been for the last five years, at a little magic Shoppe. They sell candles, tarot cards, jewelry, incense, crystals, quarts, and most other little trinkets and books found in these kinds of shoppes. Her boss is a man who has, for many years followed paganism, and believes in it, and the existence of magic.
She learned how to read Tarot and scry. She also learned how to do tattoos. She does all of those on the side for extra money. She currently lives in a tiny little studio apartment. Her bed rolls up so during the day the main area is a living room.

Worst Nightmare: Her Father. She fears him in the fullest sense of the term. Remembering what he used to do to her and her mother. She hates him and will never forgive him.

Best Dream: Being free. Plain and simple.

Misc: She is very protective of those who have become her family. Her coven. She, like captain Mal of Firefly says, "I protect Me and Mine."

Just curious, what city are we in?

I am really excited about his. We have a great group of characters popping up, all diverse and coming from different backgrounds. I'm getting chills already. And LR I think I can have some fun with your character. I think she will lead to some interesting encounters.

Good question. You will start in whatever area you live in. It can be on the opposite side of the globe from someone else. Later on tonight I will put up the first post and that will give you a better feel for how we are beginning.

So look for this to be up in running by the end of tonight. Keep the applications flowing in. The more the merrier.

Thank you Nanuk, always here to save my bum when it comes to grammar and spelling.

No problem, chica.
It's always nice to be thanked for something that people sometimes see as being overly anal, lol.

I think I'm too tired to think at the moment- also, all the muscles along the back leftside of my ribcage spasming regularly is kind of distracting... will see what I can come up with though.

12/23/2007 9:17 PM

Name: Jeff James

Physical Apperance: Jeff is about 5' 10" and 290 lbs. He has shoulder-length brown hair and blue eyes that sometimes change to green depending on what he is wearing. He usually wears an old green Army fatigue jacket over some band shirt and a German beret. He wears glasses also and almost always wears a pair of red Converse All-Stars.

Bio: Jeff was never very popular at school. He was constantly picked on after moving in the second grade. He didn't really even have any friends until middle school. His life basically sucked ass. Then in high school he finally found some people he fit in with, the nerds. Him and a bunch of the nerds became close friends. His experiences with bullies made him very protective of anyone he saw being bullied and he is also very protective of his friends because he remembers what it was like to not have any. When he got out of high school he went to college and became a writer and a librarian. He has had two books hit #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list in the past two years and has just started work on a series of short stories. He has a wife named Ellen and two children named Darren and Alice.

Worst Nightmare: Jeff doesn't really have nightmares. What normal people would classify as nightmares he enjoys and often uses as inspiration for his stories. He does sometimes have dreams of bad things happening to his family but that is only natural. He also has occasional dreams about a strange man killing all of his friends and family then coming for him. He always wakes up right before seeing the man's face.

Best Dream: Jeff's best dreams are the stuff of nightmares for most. Dreams of zombies, aliens, living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland or a world without guns or electricity. In these dreams he and his friends and family are always together fighting whatever menace is threatening them These dreams often become stories that he writes. In fact the series he is writing now, entitled "The Outbreak Journals" is about a group of family and close friends surviving in a world where the dead have risen and walk the earth.

Misc: Jeff is also a peace advocate and would be considered a hippie by many. He will only fight in order to protect his friends or family. He also thinks all kinds of large government are corrupt, greedy, and inherently evil and that small government is the only type that could ever succeed. He is a collector of weapons and books from all time periods and loves to read when not writing or spending time with his family.
