Ok, I just had an idea for a thread recently: I give a series of difficult, if not nigh-impossible, situations for a D&D game, and everyone else says what they would do. Feel free to post your own scenarios if you feel like it.
So, here's my first one:
You walk down the dungeon corridor. Suddenly, you notice an orb of pure blackness sliding down the hall towards you. What do you do?

Run like Hell.
Orbs of Pure Blackness are almost consistently -really bad things-. Depends on the level of the group, though. If you have a decent-level Wizard, cast dispell on it. If it's something akin to a globe of destruction or a sphere of annihilation, it can be dispelled, in which case it's not really a nigh-impossible situation.
Another option is to grab the party halfling, because there's always a halfling, and throw him into it. See what happens. If it looks horrible - refer to first three words of this post.

What do you do?
I'd teleport ot the nearest brothel and call it a day.
