I might be interested in going in on a Silent Hill RP, if this is still a possibility.

See, now, that's what I said for several years. Then my brother had me play a little something called Fatal Frame....

What's wrong with you, Japan!?

I havent rp'ed in months but Silent Hill is definately a kickass game that i would love to rp in. But the biggest issue with rp'ing on my part is time.

If this thing ever gets off the ground I'm sure something could be worked out.

I lasted maybe an hour playing Project Zero. That was it.

Myself and my little brother used to play Silent Hill together and we'd end up freaking each other out even worse. I nearly gave him a heart attack once when something scuttled out from under a car and I screamed. Good times...

Funny it reminds me of one of the rooms in the office building in Silent Hill 3 (must find it again) where one of the mosters is playing dead under a bed, quite amusing ^_^

The radio is the worst. You're running around and can't barely see beyond arm's reach, and then the radio starts crackling at you. Start running away and something lunges out, and then you need a new pair of underwear. Stupid addictive horror...

When you start nearly bursting into tears everytime the radio goes off, though, you know you've been playing too long :P

Ahem. So, are we going to start this up?

nanuk

oh god the radio... when I played the first one I used to have to stop every 20 minutes and go up to my brightly lit kitchen to calm down again.
My brother got a really, really great surround sound system, first thing he did was stick on silent hill. I could hear footsteps booming around the house. He lasted 5 minutes, then never again.

Where I live is near a river and is lowland so it tends to get very foggy- and the radio in my car is crap so I end up driving around in the fog with static playing.. my nerves are not good.

yeah, somebody kick this bizitch off- I shan't volunteer myself as I've never dm'ed.

You'll be fine as long as your in the car... depending on the creature.

I'm in the same group ^_^

A surround system....oh god. That's what we call a Bad Idea.

I guess I'm kind of the minority here, I've done quite a bit of DMing, but it's been a while and I'm a bit rusty. We should probably wait to see if the thread starter's still around.

I assume everyone wants this to be set in the actual Silent Hill town, not somewhere connected like the fourth game?

Yeah the town itself allows for more to be done and the connection didn't work well for me making the fourth game my least favourite.

Yeah, the town. More room means more potential.
As well as the hospital and school... oh jebus..

Don't think I actually even played the 4th one.

Even though 3 was the least atmospheric, in my opinion, I found it more stressful to play because you're a weak, little girl, lol. Usually in any game I play I kill everything moving, obsessively, but in SH, and especially 3, I tend to find myself running past everything screaming in panic.

And don't even get me started on Pyramid head...

Alright, then it's for the town. (I guess I remain one of about three people in existence who actually liked 4 :P )

Hospital is a must. The nurses, man...nurses....*eyetwitch*
I was thinking maybe sort of like the setup for SH2, where the different people are lured by the town in different ways?

nanuk

Yeah, sounds good. And viable, lol.

Somebody DM please!

My brother has even said he's be interested in the thread, and he's a decent RPer.
Wouldn't want him as a DM though.. probably wouldn't be online enough either.

Avenging_Angel
02/23/2007 8:35 AM

I guess I can start out as DM. I'll start up the RP thread at some point here today or tonight.
...

...well, maybe not a Silent Hill thread at night. What they call a Ye Olde Bad Idea.

Amen to that. When I was watching a friend play the game I had to keep excusing myself to go make tea in the kitchen....

Threadlifulness.

I really like this idea, it has alot of potential as a very dramatic rp with lots of dialogue and character interaction... I"M IN!! Just post an outline for character creation please so I have somewhere to start.

MAN, I LOVE SILENT HILL!!!

nanuk

check the date on the last post, lol- the RP started already.

it's kind of stalled but check the horror forums and have a look at it- maybe you could help revive it ;)

Leo

Yeah I'm still hopeful that this will pick back up. I still get exited every time I see a new post in the horror section.. Though only once has it been rewarding..

nanuk

I know- the false hope is starting to irritate me, lol.

Going to hound brother to get him to make another post.
