Adventure seeker on an empty street
Just an alley creeper light on his feet
A young fighter screaming with no time for doubt
With the pain and anger cant see a way out
It aint much Im asking I heard him say
Gotta find me a future move out of my way
I want it all I want it all I want it all and I want it now
I want it all I want it all I want it all and I want it now

Listen all you people come gather round
I gotta get me a game plan gotta shake you to the ground
Just give me what I know is mine
People do you hear me just give me the sign
It aint much Im asking if you want the truth
Heres to the future for the dreams of youth
I want it all (give it all) I want it all I want it all and I want
It now
I want it all (yes I want it all) I want it all (hey)
I want it all and I want it now

Im a man with a one track mind
So much to do in one life time (people do you hear me)
Not a man for compromise and wheres and whys and living
So Im living it all (yes Im living it all)
And Im giving it all (and Im giving it all)

Yeah yeah

I want it all (yeah yeah yeah) I want it all I want it all and i
Want it now**

Juri slipped past the mark with an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry sir..." She mumbled, her auburn hair falling forward to obscure her face. She wasn't dressed as gutter trash today... Today, she didn't want to face the chill of the palanthas streets in such rags. Today she was warmly dressed, though mostly in dark, muted colors of black and deep blue.

Her Jade colored eyes were bright with suppressed laughter as the obviously richer gent waved her apologies away and continued along his way. She turned and dodged into the market day crowd. She was well lost within the milling people, her clothing blending in with those who were out for the daily foodstuffs, and was out of sight when the alarm was sounded.

She nearly laughed aloud as she quickly disposed of the very identifiable purse, dropping the coins into her own. The purse she used was lined with a metallic mesh, as were the ties holding it to her belt, making it difficult for other cutpurses to obtain her own stolen bounty... it wouldn't be the first time she'd caught a youth, much younger than she, trying to cut her purse.

She smiled at the memory of the terror in the youths' eyes when she grabbed their hand, and simply dropped a single coin in their hand, and raised a finger to her lips, and sent them on their way. She had been at this profession for years, and many within the circles knew her as "Phoenix" This was all due to her own innate psionic ability. Simply known to most as "firestarting" She had to be within sight or physical contact of the item she wished to set ablaze, and the closer the proximity, the stronger the blaze.

She was about to stop now that she had gotten beyond the milling crowd, and count her bounty for the day, when a hand closed over her upper arm, tight as a vise.....

Pyranthas Bronzeblade, High Priest of Habbakuk and friend Spear, the mysterious Drow Ninja from across the sea were walking the streets of Palanthas. As they move through the crowds, all the while their hands are on their money pouches, the happen to stop at an tavern for a bit to eat and a few drinks, they head back out to wander the streets some more, in search of something.

As they turn the corner, they look down an ally they see a young girl, who looks as if she is in trouble. A large man dressed with a Dark Knight's tabbard clenches her arm.

"Dark knight... there just as bad as the thieves here," Pyranthas says as he places his hand upon his sword. As he looks around, he notices spear is gone. He then notices that he is next to the dark knight.

"I think it would be very wise to remove your hand from the girl," the drow says with heavy elven accent.

"Or what pointy ear? What are you going to do about it? This little rat is a theif and I've been following her all day."

"Have it your way they," as Spear turns on his heel and then leaps into the air and doing a spinning kick, catching the dark knight in the square of the jaw, knocking him back and freeing the girl. The dark knight goes to draw his sword, but as he places his hand upon his hilt, he soon finds that his arm is broken as the ninja shatters the bone with a blow of his hand. The dark knight stares in disbelief at the strange Elf and then turns and runs away. Shouting for guards.

"We had best get away from here young lady. Pyranthas, come on."

11/12/2006 9:30 AM

In the brief moment between the time that the knight siezed her arm, and the two elves interception, Juri's face flushed with supressed fury. Even when the Drow spoke, and surprise registered in her emerald eyes, her skin remained reddened, as though suddenly sunburned.

She stared in shock as the dark-skinned elf attacked the dark knight, breaking his arm neat as you please. The stunned Knight ran, shouting for guards, and Juri snapped out of her shock and found herself caught in the elfs' icy blue stare.

She nodded dumbly at his suggestion, trying to spur her mind into action, knowing the wisdom of his words. She turned and followed him away from the area..

11/12/2006 7:31 PM

Spear grabs the girls hand and pulls her along. "Pyranthas I shall meet you back at the temple," he drow shouts and the two of them disappear into the shadows.

*The world around the two became dark. Two glowing red eyes look at the young girl and a voice comes from them.

"We are traveling by shadow to the Temple of Hababuk. My friend is the High Priest there. We shall go there for shelter."

A moment later, everything turns to light.*

"We are here, take a seat young one and relax. I have some praying to do," the Ninja says as he kneels and goes into prayer.

11/13/2006 10:45 AM

Pyranthas walks in a moment after Spear kneels in prayer.

"Your here! Great! Welcome child to the Temple of Habbakuk. I am High Priest Pyranthas Bronzeblade, I hope you find this church comfortable and a sanctuary from the streets. Can I get you anything? Something to eat? Do you need a place to stay? Do you know why that Dark Knight tried to capture you?"

11/13/2006 11:10 AM

Juri was momentarily disoriented when Spear pulled her onward, and she blinked in the sudden light of the temple. The other elf obviously didn't waste any time reaching them, but then they weren't really far from where they where, so she wasn't quite impressed.. yet.

She glanced around, running her slender fingers through her hair. "To be blunt, while I am grateful, you may have brought more trouble on you than you bargined for." She sighed and took a seat at the nearest bench.

"The Knight wasn't trying to throw you off by telling you I was a Thief, though I doubt he would have actually turned me in to the city guard. I had heard rumors that there was a Dark Knight searching for me, but I didn't take it seriously." She seemed to be more talking to herself rather than the Elf before her.

"I should've been more careful, Hellfires I should have just left the city all together."

11/13/2006 11:26 AM

"Well, I don't tolerate Dark Knight and while you are here, you are safe. The Dark Knights are forbidden from entering this temple. This is a temple of peace. The Blue Pheonix does not tolerate their kind. Anyways, thief or not, you are welcome here," the high priest says, placing his hand on Juri's shoulder.

Spear gets up and looks at the Juri and smirks.

"Trouble happens to be my middle name. Besides, there isn't a Dark Knight that could defeat Pyranthas here in combat. He's a Grand Master Swordsman, and me, well I'm a master at Martial Arts and Master Ninja. So even if the Knights caught up to us, they would be running the other way within seconds. Your quite safe with us."

11/14/2006 1:44 PM

Juri smiled, amusement sparkling in her eyes. "Well then... My name is Juri, and I doubt that we've seen the last of that Knight."

A ruccous caw intterrupted Juri's introduction, and a fairly good sized crow winged his way into the temple, arrowing straight for Juri's outstretched arm.

"Miki!" She called, as alighted onto her arm, chattering in his corvine language, a tone that seemed quite a chastizement.

"You managed to find me at least..." she purred softly, her other hand scratching at the feathers nearest his cheeks.

11/16/2006 11:56 AM

"We will be ready for him when and if he comes," Spear says with a smirk. He then blinks as he watches the crow fly into the temple and to Juri.

Pyranthas turns on his heel and heads in another direction. "Spear, I have some stuff to day, please see that our guest is comfortable and that she is protected. Other words, make sure the knights don't get her." Spear nods.

"You want something to eat," He says as he pushes his hood back, revealing his short snow white hair and black skin.

12/10/2006 6:50 AM

Juri stares in surprise at Spear, curiosity burning in her emerald eyes, but remained unvoiced. The crow on her shoulder eyed the drow with the same gleam in its eye, then ruffled out his feathers and let out a ruccus caw at the mention of food.

Juri flushed as her stomach made it known her own feelings upon the mention of food, and nodded sheepishly. She followed Spear, all the while waiting and dreading the inevitable questions to come.

12/11/2006 7:03 PM

As she followed, she allowed her gaze to wander around the temple, she knew of Habbakuk, though she favored Branchala personally, and often used music to pass the time, and even in attempt to earn some legit coins for her purse.

She stifled a sigh, but couldn't help to mutter, "I wish I had my bouzouki with me..."

12/12/2006 9:19 AM

"What was that?" Spear asks as he leads her to the kitchen. He could feel her gazing at him, wondering about him. "I look strange to you I am sure. There are not to many of my kind here on this plane of existance. I am a Drow, or a Dark Elf, as I am know on my home world. I have lived on this plane since just before the first cataclysm. I saw Istar fall. I saw the fiery mountain dropped on Krynn. It was not a pretty sight. I have seen the gods leave, and then return and then leave again, and then come back yet again. I've seen it all."

01/01/2007 2:59 PM

Juri aborbed what Spear had said with some difficulty, she had never known anyone so old... But it was the last sentance he said that struck her as odd. "You've seen it all huh? Have you ever seen anyone who could do this?"

She turned her attention to a trio of unlit tallow candles, and one by one as she gestured towards them, the wicks burst into flame. Such minor displays of her power were sometimes harder on her than the fiery infernos she could call, for they didn't require such precise control.

"It is this that makes me a danger to you and this sect. This is why I should've left the city the moment I heard that the Dark Knights were once again seeking me out."

01/02/2007 6:53 AM

Spear watched for a moment and smiled.

"So the dark knights are after you cause you can play with fire eh? Are you a Pyromancer? Or, is it more of a mental thing? Where I am originally from, there are people who have mental powers, psionic abilities. Some of these people have an ability similar to yours called pyrokinesis. It's pretty awesome to see someone take down a hoard of goblins with just a though as they burst into flames."

01/02/2007 4:05 PM

Juri considered his words, surprised that he knew of her talent. "It's got to be... what was it you said? Pyrokinesis... It's not magic as anyone that I've gone to knows it. But I have to be able to see or even touch the item I wish to burn.. the closer the proximity, the easier it is."

01/03/2007 1:54 AM

"That is a very rare trait on this world, but it sounds as if that is what ability is. With practice my dear you should be able to be further away from battle and control the flames much better... So what are your plans? Cause where your going, I'm going. Pyranthas's orders, and I always follow his orders," Spear says with a wily smile and a chuckle.
