Hey everyone! Been working on a few rp ideas on the roadtrip, figure now would be a time to give one a shot, Im not sure if its already be done so here it goes....
It takes place in a post apocalyptic desert/western/steampunk(no, I did not steal this idea from Angel) known as Jla' Aksun, which has been in a civil war for 30 years.
There are three capital cities that govern the small trading posts and town dotting the dunes. The three capitals have been warring over an ancient temple that was unearthed during a religous pilgrimage, and all three capitals ruler's claim ownership of it due to the valuable minerals discovered to be inlaid in the bedrock that encased the temple. After 25 years of war, there were many desert thieves looting and pillaging the temple, as well as archaelogical teams that were independant. A small group of both parties met in an antichamber to a second tomb, discovered in the larger first, thus unearthing more questions than answers.
After much argueing and deaththreats, the parties agreed on the archaelogist agreed to pay the brigand for protection from dangers, and to help in looting more difficult to acquire items of interest. After much digging and looting they discover a sarcophagus with the following inscription.
"Scourge of the black sands, metal raider from the west, here lies the hellhound, Morghesh*"
"Forever sleep will be his fate, for the power to take life is written in slate, of ash and death shall he bring, and then only mourning shall your world sing."
When one brigand ensues to grave rob Morgheshs' personal possession, a powerfull curse, cast by the hellhound Morghesh himself, was activated, everyone was slaughtered as the reanimated corpse of Morghesh( he's kinda like this demigod wolf creature, but his body long since decayed, has been encased in a metal husk, or call it an exskeleton if you will) fed on the ash of the immolated bodies, he used the victims spirit energy to create the first of the collossi...(not sure if that plural is correct)
The tomb of Morghesh rose out of the ground, revieling a large citidal work foundry, which is now know as the "Hellhounds Spirit Pound" , Morghesh insued to attack the already warring cities with giant collossi, each unique due to the reflection of the spirits within...the capitals united to fight this common enemy, and the Collossi wars had begun.
Eventually Morgheshs' legions were defeated with the united armies, and many collossi migrated back to the pound in herds, but some, remained to become tribes of wandering siege engines, not to know there way home for unknow reasons.
Thus, mercs flocked to the land of Jla'Aksun, and now make thier living as a collossi hunters, working with the united military to destroy the tribes of collossi .
I will be giving the option of either being in the military, a merc, or being a collossi tribe leader.
I still need to work on a few things, such as how Morghesh still plays a role in it and what not, and the average height of the colossi, so its still a work in progress, but if any of you are interested, post here and put in your two cents, Ill be happy to take any questions or suggestions, till then, later days
* the "g" is silent, pronounced Mor-hesh

the capitals united to fight this common enemy, and the Collossi wars had begun.
Wow, very easily done. I'm afraid that's not how it works. The enemy of my enemy is not always my friend.
I think if anything you should have the RP take place during this time when the colossi were first coming and the three cities were still at war. You could get a whole Rudolph Hess thing going on when the colossi first come.
And maybe one of the cities tries to ally with Morghesh. So maybe it's up to the prince of that city to stop his father's mad path.
The plot would seem to be much more interesting if you set it at this point in time. But that's just what I think.
And Morghesh would sounds better if the first 'h' is silent instead of the 'g'. More-gesh I think that sounds better.
Also you're going to need a lot more than the height of the colossi in order to explain them.
I would assume the temple would actually be in the position of one of the cities. It's doubtful that independent archaelogists would be able to enter and the thieves would need to be very skilled I'd imagine. The fact is if the place was so valuable the city that currently held the temple wouldn't allow such things.
If the sarcophagus was unearthed by a large group of stationed military men then Morghesh would have a much bigger army, more believeable that it could cause harm to the capitals.
And you also need to think of a reason why Morghesh just doesn't go out and slaughter the cities himself. Also, the fact that they or colossi is kinda of annoying to me. It would be constantly fighting giants which in my opinion would get old really fast. Also if he was a wolf like demi-god why are his creations colossi and not wolf like creatures?
I think that's all. (It is either colossi or colossuses).
EDIT(So my Rudolph Hess comment makes sense): Rudolph Hess was the Deputy Fuhrer, basically the second most powerful man in Germany during WWII. He flew to Scotland to try and arrange a peace treaty with the British so the two Airian nations could fight against Russia together (it's still unclear whether Hitler sent Hess on this mission or if Hess acted freely). Obviously Hess failed and after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor the US fully entered the war against Germany. And you know the rest.
