"And are you going to stop me?" Lucas said. "The woman Bit that officer on the neck. Do you know how long it would have taken for the virus to take affect? It would have been a matter of moments and then we would have had a hand full of these carriers in the same room of these "survivors." "I uthenized him, I had no other choice."

Lucas took a step towards the officer, his hands raised at heart level to show that he was not going to pull his gun on the officer.

"Umm.... Ok." Davian quietly stepped into the room.

"Err... Proffessor Davian reporting for duty. Has anyone told you about me?"

The man looked up, "No...here is your form to fill out." he handed Davian the paper then returned to the file cabinet. "Hand it back to me when you're finished and then you can go about your bussiness."

OOC: Gotta check in first....

"Yes I'm going to stop you," he turned to another policeman, "Berth, cuff this guy." Officer Berth stepped forward holstering his sidearm and pulling out his handcuffs. He slowly walked around behind Lucas.

"Alright, hands on your head," he said.

"Regardless of the reasons, you shot an innocent man." The officer said.

Near the back of the group, Raymond shot Garreth a nervous glance as the officer reached the platforms edge and aimed his shotgun down towards the track...

Officer Bradbury walked stepped back and was about ready to fire when he sighed and smiled, "It's just a rat boys."

Ash kneeled and squinted, "Yeah, he's right."

"A bit jumpy, heh." Bradbury said turning around and stepping forward. The smile on his face was soon gone when he felt the fleshy claw around his abdomen. At first the officers were in utter shock but after a moment they unleashed all they could firing at the long arm. There was a loud roar as the claw pulled back with Bradbury still in its clutches.

A large mass fell from the arc above the train tracks and landed on two enormus tree trunk legs. From its other arm came long tentacles seeking officer McGibbs. Ash jumped to the side and hit McGibbs to the ground but one tentacle managed to cut McGibb's right pant leg and drew blood.

Sam and Jack saw this from above and quickly ran down the stairs wondering what the hell that monster was.

Gun shots and the screams of Bradbury filled the underground chamber...

OOC: Flark if you are down I was planning on letting this one get away for another time but having it break the elevator in some way.

If you think he was innocent does that mean you consider a zombie innocent untill you witness him attack some one? or do you err on the side of caution because of your previous experience? No! you take what ever action will save the most amount of people! You know there was no cure for that guy. Do you think I should have waited until he bit some one... Maybe you! Would you have forgiven me if I had waited until he infected you? Aren't we working on the same side?

Lucas took a step towards the officer who was holding him at gun point. His hands still raised at heart level, keeping some distance from the officer behind him who was listening to His reasoning.

"Umm..... I'm afraid I can't read.."
Davian could never grasp written language, because he was dislexic. It was the price of his prodigal IQ. "I never could. I'm dislexic, but apart from that, I'm fine. No physical disabilities whatsoever. I happen to work out."

As everyone opened fire, the creature used its long tentacled arm and proceeded to wave Bradbury out in front of it, almost as if trying to use him as a human shield.

"Fire at the tentacle!" ordered one of the officers.

Raymond and Garreth included, the officers began to spread out on the platform, so to get a clear shot at the arm which held the screaming officer Bradbury.

The creature roared in agony as a few shots ripped into its fleshy arm. The second tentacled arm swung down almost club-like and batted one officer hard into the wall.

As the first tentacled arm holding Bradbury took a few more hits, the creature began to swing him from side to side infront of its body, making it far too dangerous to shoot.

Again, the second arm came swinging down, this time towards Raymond. He leaped to one side, but slightly too slow as it just clipped the side of his body. The force ripped the shotgun from his hands and sent him flying back across the platform in the direction of the elevator.

Lucas took a step towards the officer who was holding him at gun point. His hands still raised at heart level, keeping some distance from the officer behind him who was listening to His reasoning.

Berth slowed a bit and the officer with his gun raised, officer Hoffman, took a step back trying to keep distance between him and Lucas, "Stay where you are! I swear I'll shoot you if you move any closer!"

By now the crowd had spread out and moved back several yards, the few who had been injured by the girl forgotten. They stood silent watching as the man faced off against the officers.

The other five officers in the room all had their firearms out but did not raise them against Lucas. Hoffman did not have rank but they knew when people had guns pointed at them they tended to either give up or do something crazy, and this one didn't appear to be giving up.

After a few tense moments Seargeant Casey walked in and saw the large half circle of a crowd. He ran up several stairs and looked down at Hoffman and Lucas.

"Officer Berth, would you move your ass and cuff that man. Sir, regardless of what you did I'm obligated to look after the safety of these people and when one of the officer's has a gun point at you, well I think that puts a little bumb in the safety road, if you get what I mean," Casey walked back down the stairs, and walked closer to the crowd who parted to let him through, "You'll get a chance to explain yourself in a short while if you don't cause problems."

"Don't be shocked, my good sir," Davian said to the officer, sencing his shock, "There are thousands of Dislexic people in the world. Yes, I can write my own name. I may be illiterate, but I probably knew more than you do know when I was three." He didn't mean to offend the officer, but it was a bit of a touchy subject. Davian walked over to the peice of paper and signed his name, printing it underneath.

Becky looked at the officers. She was still holding her injured arm, and didn't know what to do. She took a single step in their direction and stopped.

"Hey, what's going to happen to us?" she said, her voice trembling a little. "What's going to happen to those of us who've been injured? Are we going to die?"

Becky watched the soldiers, and broke into tears. She didn't want to die, she wanted to escape this crazy place, find someone to grow old with, and live out the rest of her life. She collapsed to the ground, still crying, and very much afraid.

"This is the only warning I will give you." Lucas said looking at officer hoffman. I cannot allow you to handcuff me, "We are in a very unstable place and there are a handfull of people in the same room who are infected." "It will only be a matter of moments untill they attack some one. I will willingly go some where were you can have my account of what happend." Lucas's voice was firm and unwavering as if there was no room for question. It hadn't been proven as to what caused the transformation but from the shouts of Lucas and what he himself had seen Casey wondered if they weren't all in danger.

As he was walking out he whispered in to officer O'Conel's ear, "Seperate the ones who got hurt, I'll be back." And with that, Casey and Berth left the room with Lucas.

"No, don't worry. Let's get your wounds bandaged up," he said with a weak smile, "And that goes for everyone else, if you were hurt we should get it cleaned up right away."

Ash knealt down and took careful aim of what appeared to be some sort of eye and fired several shots from his handgun. The first two went through the soft flesh with the third hitting a few cenitmeters away from the others. The monster screeched and jumped on to the platform to the left of the elevator.

"Shit! Get outta there!" An officer pushed the button on the elevator and leapt inside when the doors opened. Two others followed him leaving Raymond and Garreth alone on the elevator platform. The monster flung his left arm and several small barbs shot out at the elevator as the doors were closing. Of the few that got inside one hit an officer in the side of the skull the other hit the thigh of another police officer. They both pulled them out as soon as the felt them punture their skin. There was no blood that followed the barbs being pulled out and the third officer that had not been hit moved up against one of the side walls wondering what the hell they were going to do now.

Jack and Sam entered the room guns blazing. Ash holstered his sidearm and pulled out his shotgun. He ran up next to Derek and the two fired off shotgun blasts as Jack and Sam came up behind them.

"Get off the platform!" Ash yelled to Raymond and Garreth. He glanced to his left and made note of McGibbs who had taken up his gun again and was firing from his position. Jacobs was still up against the wall not moving. The two would need to be carried.

"Make for the doors! Derek get McGibbs." Ash said pivoting and moving back to the far wall.

"Fine. Sorry about that little outburst back there. I guess we're all a little uptight at the moment. Would you like to see something that would be a great boon to this operation?" Davian pulled out his weapon and showed it to the man. "This is an extremely complex mechanism, so I won't tell you how it works, just what it does." Davian pulled out another apple and placed it on the table. "Observe." He took aim and fired, vapourising the apple with a god awefully loud bang.

Grimacing from the pain in his arm, Raymond slowly picked himself up off the ground as he assessed the situation. Three of the officers on the platform had managed to escape into the elevator and were making their way back up to the safe house.

"Get off the platform!" Ash yelled to Raymond and Garreth.

"Make for the doors! Derek get McGibbs."

Garreth ceased firing as he dodged a flailing tentacled arm, and made his way over to where Officer Jacobs lay. Once by the motionless officer, he fired off a few more shots before proceeding to drag him towards the doors.

Derek was making a similar attempt to rescue the wounded Officer McGibbs, who continued to give supporting fire even though he seemed unable to walk unaided.

Being the farthest from the doors, Raymond decided to make a run for it. He darted out across the platform, leaping towards where his shotgun lay, having been flung from his grasp earlier.

"HERE!!!" he screamed, as he scooped the weapon up in his hands and took aim at the monster.

Momentarily distracting the monster from Derek and Garreth's rescue attempts, its attention solely focused on Raymond who crouched readily out in the middle of the platform. Luckily, the monster seemed to be having trouble seeing clearly from the wounds Ash had inflicted upon its eye. Seeing the opportunity for a clear shot at the already wounded eye, Raymond took careful aim. A tentacled arm swang back, poised to strike full blow at him any second. Raymond held his breath and silently prayed that this would be enough to finish the creature...

*CLICK* The shotgun jammed, probably from its impact on the wall. *CLICK* *CLICK*

As the tentacle came closer to Raymond gun shots rang out from the bottom of the stairs. Again the area around the eye was hit and the monster's arm landed just short of Raymond.

"Raymond! Let's move!" Ash said while reloading his shotgun with a few shells before firing at the monster again. Ash looked to where Bradbury was, he must have been cut deeply in his sides for blood was flowing out freely. He had stopped screaming and Ash guessed he was dead.

He hoped the three who made it up back to the safe house would warn the others. Ash now had to concentrate on keeping the rest of his wounded team alive.

Opening his eyes after what might have been his very last moments alive, Raymond made a mental note to thank Ash for saving his life as soon as they were clear of danger. Picking himself up off the ground, he glanced back from where he had flung himself. The monster's arm had narrowly missed him by just a few feet. A combination of both fear and pure adrenaline prevented him from even feeling the severe bruising around his body. Still clutching the jammed shotgun, he scrambled after the others who were making their way towards the doors.

"We're gonna do all can miss," O'Conel said to her. He had sent one man out to The Chief to get orders on what to do but he was unsure if The Chief would know exactly what to do. They still didn't know what the hell was going on. Many speculated that the virus was transferred through the biting which obviously would have put Lucas in the right, but what if there was some cure. O'Conel broke cut his thoughts short when the cleaning items came back.

"Make sure to wear gloves and facemasks. We can't be too careful," Officer O'Conel said.

"The Chief will come back with orders soon, if everyone would please just remain where they are, everything will be okay," O'Conel wasn't sure he believed himself.

Still clutching the jammed shotgun, he scrambled after the others who were making their way towards the doors.

"Far left!" Ash yelled out as he turned and fired several more shots. The door led to the only spot Ash had a good idea wasn't a dead end. With the other doorways leading only to another door Ash could not be certain what they contained. Although he didn't know what was in the large open room Ash figured it was his best bet.

Jack got to the door first and opened it, turning to provide cover fire for Derek and Garreth to get to the door. Ash called for everyone to enter and when Raymond and him had made it through he turned and slammed the door. There was no lock and he looked around to find something they could block it with.

The room was larger than the first one they had entered. It had rows of metal tanks with biohazard stickers on some to the right and boxes and tables to the left. Clearly it was sort of storage room. Ash could here the monster's shreeks outside the door getting closer with each thundering step. There was a stairway up against the back that led to a platform where another door was. Ash wondered if the group could make it in time, they had to.

"Up those stairs!" Ash called reloading his gun as he moved back. The other officers started for the stairs. The ones who were relatively uninjured reloading their guns in preparation for the monster.

"McGibbs, give Ray your gun," he said as the first hit from the monster's calw came against the wall.

"Come on, let's go," called Raymond to Ash, having finished his reload he quickly followed the others up stairs as a loud crash sounded behind. He glanced back to make sure Ash had made it clear in time...

Ash was several yards away from the door when the clawed arm of the monster broke through the metal. It withdrew its hand and Ash raised his gun firing off two shots before turning and sprinting back to the stairs. The monster continued to growl and have strange gurgling yells emmit from his body.

The team was now split up along the stairs. Derek had reached the top and was resting McGibbs against the wall to open the door. The door opened and Derek moved in several steps with his gun raised scanning the area. It appeared clear and Derek stepped back letting McGibbs rest on his left shoulder they moved in through the room.

The others soon followed Derek through the doors until all but Ash and Raymond were left on the platform. The monster continued to make progress bashing through the wall and door but it was far from being able to fit its entire body through the openings it made. Ash turned, "Let's see what new shit will come out..." He walked through the door and found the others waiting at a cylindrical pillar with three hallways branching off.

Ash turned to watch Raymond enter and shut the door behind him. "Alright team, take a breather and let's get patched up." The men withdrew some basic firstaid kits and began to bandage the wounded.

"Well, we're stuck here. I guess our next move is to try and find some way back to the safehouse," He turned to Jack and Sam, "Did you guys find anything else in that room?"

"Given the chance I think I could bring a train to that station. I also believe that the trains lead to some station outside of the city. Most likely another secret facility controlled by Umbrela..." Jack said.

"Nothing else was really in there Ash," Sam added.

"Alright, I guess we walk down one of these hallways...anyone have a preferance?" Ash said. Little did he know that in two hours time the wounded would turn in to the zombies that now wandered the streets of Warren City, that is, unless there was a cure.

"Calm down," The Chief said, "If you want to join our ranks we can accept that, but the sun should be going down in less than an hour so we don't have any mission scheduled. So we may need to stretch the truth some when we give the people this food you can create," The Chief paused.

He reached into his desk drawer and pulled out a pack of gum, mint flavor. He stuck a piece in his mouth and after a few moments of chewing he rolled the gum up to the left side of his mouth and spoke, "So why don't you tell me a bit about yourself. "I lost whatever renown I had scratched up in this goddamned city. Genibio were the only group to hire me from then on. As for sleep, I don't need much, but thanks." "Well we don't really have good mobility with Jacobs and MicGibbs. Garreth, Jack, you two stay here with Jacobs and McGibbs. The rest of us will head down that hallway," Ash motioned down one of the hallways.

After a few minutes for an ammo check and redistribution the team headed down the hallway. Derek took point followed by Ash then Raymond, with Sam bringing up the rear. The group reached a door and when the opened it they were greeted by a room similar to the storage room they had been through earlier but instead of boxes and crates this was filled with lab equipment and large chambers.

"Yeah, now that we're away from that monster," one said.

"I wonder what the hell those things were," the other said looking down at the barbs that had been shot at them. The officers spent the rest of the time in mostly silence as they reached the safehouse. The doors opened and the three men walked out still in shock from what they had seen.

"We need to report to The Chief, tell him Ash and the others are still down there," Andrew said.

The three ran to The Chief's office and burst in. The Chief stood in alarm, "What the hell is going on?"

The three launched into an explination as to what had happened.

Becky had been trying to take a nap, but couldn't. There was too much going through her mind, and she wasn't able to relax. She didn't want to die, but neither did she want to become a mindless monster, and kill other, innocent people. The young woman stayed curled up, sinking deeper into her depression, and began to cry again.

"How long do you suppose it will be before I become like that other woman?" Becky asked between sobs. "I mean, she was fine, and then, she was crazy and attacking people. I don't want that to happen to me."

Raymond seperated from the group and moved over to the left side of the room, glancing cautiously between the tall shelves and wracks of strange laboratory equipment.

A faint scratching sound caught his attention over by one of the wracks on the far wall. Turning sharply to aim his shotgun at it, he breathed a sigh of relief as he noticed it was nothing more than a large rat poking its ugly head out. The moment's relief was short lived as the rat suddenly scuttled towards him. The critter got to within about a foot from his ankle before Raymond annihilated it with his shotgun.

"Don't worry everyone, I just wasted a rat!" he called over to the others, "Although I must say something didn't look quite right about it, it was coming straight for my ankles, no messing," he added.

"I guess we should shoot first before wasting any time," Derek said scanning around for anything that might jump out at him.

Ash stepped up on to a raised platform and gazed into the small circular window of one of the chambers. The thing was once human but had been turned in to the zombie creatures that now walked the streets above.

Ash stepped back down quickly, "It looks like these chambers still have some test subjects in them." Sam went to a side computer and tried booting it up. The screen came up but demanded a password. After several tries Sam cursed and gave up walking to other parts of the lab.

"Let's try and find another door," Ash said over a line of chambers to the others. Ash then turned his head to the ground, he was standing in a small bit of water. He followed the trail and saw it led to an open chamber. "Looks like we've got a live one on our hands," Ash said raising his gun and moving further down the line."

The bleak hotel room didnt look appealing after all this time. Honestly, Jusin had had enough. The Massdriver at his feet was still unpowered, and he hoped to find batteries to power it once i had reached the garage.
Justin slung the Massdriver's backpack on, picking up an abandoned crowbar and his old 9mm Glock Semiautomatic before proceeding to the door.
Not bothering to check, the crowbar ripped the wood off the door, and the scientist, in somewhat of a rush, proceeded into the hallway running towards the stairwell, and nearly faceplanting a zombie as he turned the corner.
Gunfire echoed through the building as he backed away in shock, straight into the stairwell door.
Fearing for his life, he ran down the stairs, not bothering to check if the zombie was dead.

"I'll take care of it," Casey said. After a few minutes he returned with the black duffle bag, "Officer O'Conel has things under control more or less so we should be able to move you out of here soon."

Casey walked back to the main room and watched over the other officers. The cleaning was finished, the bodies moved in to multiple trash bags. The gloves and other items of clothing that had blood on them Casey ordered to be burned.

O'Conel approched Casey, "Sir, The Chief isn't in his office, we aren't sure where he went."

Casey frowned and bent in close to whisper to O'Conel, "Have you told anyone else?"

"No Sir, just Migill and I know."

"Okay, Get the infected in a seperate room, there is no telling how long it'll take them to change. Send Migill to the office and have him wait there. I'll look for The Chief myself."

Casey didn't want the fact that The Chief was missing to get out beyond the three that already knew but he also didn't want to walk down a hallway without someone watching his back. He went off a gut feeling and walked back in to the room Lucas had been confined to, "Want to help me with something? It'll get you out of this room."

Jay was loving it. It was better than any video game, and the people he killed no longer cowered at his feet in despair. He moved along the hallway, seeing a lone zombie at the end of the hall. Reaching into his coat pocket, he withdrew his 42 Magnum, Firing 3 shots, one at the head, and one bullet in each kneecap, making the zombie immobile. You could never be too sure. He heard a gunshot, and went down one floor to investigate. There was a strange looking man in the center of the corridor. He loosed 3 more shots into the zombie at the man's feet. Like before, it's best to be sure. He took out the Clip, which only had 1 more shot, and reloaded a fresh clip. "Isn't this Great? I mean, I haven't had this much fun in, well, never!" Jay must have sounded crazy, but he was used to bloodshed. It was part of him. He didn't know how or why there were bloodthirsty zombies around, nor did he care. "You gonna try to get out of here? He grabbed a few bottles from his room, ruinning after Jay into the stairwell.
Jay moved suprisingly quickly in the confined space of the stairwell, with Justin leading up behind, occasionally glancing over the railing, downwards, while fiddling with a few glass tubes.
"Jay, stop" He whispered, stopping the man and motioning to the 3 zombies on the landing below them.
He raised one of the glass tubes, dropping a wrapped capsule into it, stoppering it, and chucking it towards the zombies.
"Cover" He said, quikly, dragging him and jay to the floor.
The small tube exploded violently, decapitating the zombie that that tube landed on, and dismembering the other two.
The Scientist rose, his ears ringing slightly.
"You may dislike Doctors jay" Justin said, offering some of the fluid-filled tubes and the capsules to him "But dont hate me because im one of them"
"Also, 3 second fuse" He said, motioning to the tubes he was holding "Concussive, short-range, good for decapitating them. I had too much time in the hotel room so i decided to make explosives from some alcohol in the room"

There was a small splash of water to his left, Ash turned with his gun raised. He fired off two shots, one went wide and hit the zombie's ear the other went just above the eye blowing out brain and bone. Ash turned to Raymond, "This room is very unsettling. Who knows if there are other zombies walking around in here. Ash went closer to the open chamber and saw that the two next to it were ajar and empty.

There was gun shots on the other side of the isle of chambers Ash motioned for Raymond to follow him as they ran the rest of the way down the line then turned right to see what had occured on the other side of the chambers.

Derek stood, a zombie several feet away, "Can we get the fuck of here?" Derek said.

"Hey guys, I found another door," Sam shouted back.

"Good, let's move," Ash said to Raymond and Derek. They began heading to where Sam was shouting. A low moaning came from the line of chambers Derek turned and fired off a shot with his shotgun but slipped back on some chamber liquid causing his shot to only blow off the right hand of the zombie which didn't even slow it down. Raymond and Ash shot down the zombie with their own guns but Derek's shot hit off one the chambers blowing off a connecting tube. The line of chambers all opened one by one.

"Ah fuck," Derek said as the three stood for a moment watching the zombies fall out.

"Come on," Ash said hitting Derek's shoulder. The three ran towards Sam we was waiting by the open door. Sam closed the door behind them. They had entered another lab room, this one much more open and instead of chambers had tables and shelves of chemicals.

The group now found themselves trapped with countless numbers of zombies wandering around behind the door they had just came through.

Turning to check, Raymond felt slightly relieved to see that Sam had already locked the door behind them and was backing away. Justin heard the yell, shortly followed by the gunshot as he removed the tenth battery and placed it next to the others.
He glanced up, and watched the zombie fall, noticing another zombie approacing Jay from behind.
"Get down!" He yelled, picking up the massdriver that was laid on the ground, next to the backpack, hooked up to charge.
He hefted the rather heavy weapon up, bringing the undersighted laser pointer to bear on the creatures head as the charge light flickered and went out.
He pulled the trigger.
There was a brief instant as the weapon discharged, the impromptu magnetic 'bullet' accelerating to supersonic velocities and covering the ground between it and the zombies head in a microsecond, blowing a large hole in it and continuing onwards, proceeding through the windows of three cars and embedding itself in the concrete wall.
The zombie, meanwhile, had flipped feet over head, landing in a rather ungrateful heap, it's head in pieces.
"rather hot" Justin muttered, waving the massdriver through the air in an attempt to cool the accelerator elements.
He suddenly remembered his prdicament, hefting the (now armed) massdriver onto his back, checking that the internal batteries were secure, before motioning to Jay to drive over so that he could heft the remaining batteries onto the truck.

Casey took the door knob in hand and pushed forward first glancing down at the dead body to make sure he was indeed dead. The body was slupt up against a wall with blood all around his neck and going down the right side of his body. Casey finished pushing the door open and moved from right to left in an arc watching for zombies.

When he reached the far left he saw one, he had been a member of the team sent down bellow. Casey side stepped twice and raised his gun he took aim and fired the bone and brain splattered to the ground. He looked back to the door with his gun still raised, "Clear."

He looked back to the officer up against the wall, "That's Jefferson, looks like someone got the jump on him," he said turning down the hallway. He looked down at the zombie he killed and noticed the combat uniform he wore. Casey frowned, "This one shouldn't be here." Casey began to wonder if the whole team had been infected and how.

Casey knew Ash and was sure that if Ash saw something going bad he would act smart. He couldn't be among the infected. This one and perhaps others had ran away when they got wounded and brought the infection here.

Fortunately there was plenty of tables, desks, chairs, filing cabinets and other various pieces of furniture around the room. The four men quickly began to push the furniture against the back wall and it didn't take them too long to construct quite a sturdy platform which could easily climb upon to access the air vent.

Raymond carefully climbed onto the chair which was at the top of the very tall stack of furniture and peered into the vent. It was far too dark to see anything inside, so his attention immediately switched to examining how it was fixed onto the wall.

"It's screwed into place," said Raymond removing his knife, "give me a few minutes and I'm sure I'll be able to get this thing off. Also it's going to be pitch black in there, has anyone brought a torch? If not can you guys please have a good look around for something we can use as a light."

OOC: Sorry for the long dely in posting my chapter, ive had some rather, severe, emotional issues to deal with in my personal life lately.

IC:

"Hey, buddy! Wanna NOS our way throuhg this crowd, or should we go another way? It's up to you, your the Dr. Think we can get through?"

Justin paused for a moment as he vaguely remembered his time at MIT, watching endless re-runs of Dr. Who while attempting to carry out some vague experiment after-hours in the Physics labs.
He regained his senses rather quickly, bringing the massdriver up to bear as the charge light flickered off yet again.
Hit the NOS when I say He yelled, vainly attempting to aim the weapon in the bumpy rear of the vehicle.
Steady& He muttered to himself Steady, steady&
There was a split-second as the slug screeched to the target, penetrating the side of a nearby car, leaving a smoking hole.
Go, NOW! He yelled, loading another shell into the weapon as a small fire started on the car he had hit.
It got bigger.
Almost on cue as the Nitrous engaged, the cars gas tank exploded, sending flaming fluids spraying all over the zombies closest to the car, with the air pressure from the explosion causing the trunk lid to go flying, killing a fair few more.
Justin smiled to himself, bringing the weapon up to aim at another car, further up the road.

Lucas didn't bother acknowledging Casey's comment about How many they might be dealing with, partly cause Lucas didn't want to make any more noise then He had to.
His gun was raised as he methodicly searched the darkend room with His eye's looking for any sign of movement but to His supprise there was nothing that stood out.

there was however a door at the far wall of the room in which they stood, Taking the lead He stepped forward knees slightly bent and kicked the door squarely at the handle But instead of flying open it simply knocked Lucas off balence slightly so he landed a oddly on His feet..

"Well... that didn't work how I hoped it would..." Lucas said as he moved to the side of the door and looked back at Casey, Lucas's hand was on the doorknob but He didn't open it. instead he looked back at Casey for some sign that he was ready.

"YEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Jay hit all three buttons at once. He barreled the car into the hord, clearing a way through. It took several seconds, but they were out. They had made it through the horde. He could see, up in the distance, what looked like a pile of goo.
(OOC: this is where my old character origionally appeared. btw, is the safehouse IN the Umbrellacorp building, or is it somewhere else?)

IC: "Hey! Does that look like lights to you? There's got to be SOME survivors. There's always survivors in every zombie movie and game ever made. I should know, I own them all. And when I say own, I mean stole. And when I say all, I mean, even the ones that werent released. You remember that news story about George Romero getting beat up? Yeah, well, he wasnt going to give me his origional film reels. Wanan go check that builing out?"

Casey didn't even crack a smile when Lucas almost fell over, he remained calm and sober, ready for another zombie to strike out. When Lucas turned back Casey nodded and raised his gun to the door.

"Well each of us should have a flashlight, unless they lost it coming here," Ash said looking around. The other nodded saying they had their flashlights. "Good, now let's get to work on finding this antidote."

"Ah, so I was the only one not to bring one eh? Nevermind, at least you guys came prepared..."

Raymond continued working on trying to remove the vent cover while the others began searching the room for any clues possibly finding an antidote...

Exhailing a held breath, Lucas turned the door handle. The door swung open and Lucas arced thought he doorway, Gun at the ready. But to His Supprise the room was pitch black, It took a moment for His eye's to adjust. Nothing charged them, No sound of anything past the blackness that the doorway held." Lights" Lucas whispered as his left hand moved across to the right side of his body, A long mag light was in its desagnated slot on his right thigh,

The light flicked on as he brought the flashlight up and crossed it under His right hand that held the browning. There were blood marks on the far wall, but no signs of anyone being dead or alive inside.

Justin Hung on for dear life as the car accelerated dramatically, almost dislodging him.
"Yea, head over there" He yelled over the din, obviously wondering where this man drew the line between reality and video games. He didn't appear to be the type that would play them, either, he seemed more like the type of person that went out and caused havok, not played virtual reality.

Justin gazed through the old telecopic sight on the massdriver, looking at the origin of the lights.
"Thats the Umbrella Corporation Headquarters" he muttered to himself, barely able to hear himself over the engine roaring.
"JAY!" He yelled "Stop outside the front of the Umbrella Corp. Building! The lights are on inside!"
He breifely remembered something from years ago, back at Las Alamos. He had always heard some of the biochemists muttering about Umbrella Corp. It seemed as though they ran some very shady buisness, they had drawn the attention of the EPA, CDC, WHO, along with almost every other health orginisation on the planet, and then some!
He never gave it a second thought at the time though, his field was nothing to do with Umbrella, he was a Theoretical Physicist.

"Alright, but the lights are on. What if noone's home but the stiff's? Oh well, here we go." He slammed on the breaks, emitting a Huge, mind-splitting, squeal as the brakes struggled to stop the bullet that the car was turning into. If anyone in the block was alive, then they would've heard the sound.

Jay leapt out of the car, waiting for Justin to regain his bearings.

Casey moved in on one side of the room and searched for the light switch he flicked it and a few of the overhead lights turned on. Casey glanced at the celling seeing that several of the lights had been broken.

Casey moved down the hallway, walking sideways so as to face the intersecting hallway. He stopped for a moment, "There is more blood down this way," he said to Lucas in a low tone.

Edging towards the hallway behind casey, Lucas noticed broken glass on the ground and crunched under the weight of his shoes. Blood was smeared across the bottom of the wall and floor.

At the end of the hallway it opened into another room. The door was ajar enough that they could see most of the room ahead, there were a few chairs and desks, and in the corner of the room was a man standing, about 5'9 with the remains of a bullet proof vest and combat gear. blood had once flowed down his neck and now stained the front of his body, a few fingers were missing and it looked like he had a bite on the side of his face.

Moveing infront lucas squeezed off a round before he had cleared the doorway,it hit the zombie in the side of the face, blowing bone and blood across the wall behind him. The zombie droped to his knees and then hit the ground head first, His limbs twitched as his brain sent commands to the rest of his body, but the a bits of his brain on the wall behind him it apeared he was not haveing very much luck moveing.

As Lucas walked though the doorway a body hit him with enough force to knock him back against the doorway. Lucas strugled for a moment the zombies grip on his shoulder and forarm. With Lucas knee against the zombies stomach he kept him far enough away that he was not able to bite lucas and with lucas's right hand he reached across and grabed the zombies hand that was holding onto His own left hand. Pealing it off he spun the zombie around and had him in an arm lock behind his back. Luckily Lucas had His gun in His left hand and fired two rounds into the back of his skull.

The zombie slumped to the ground, and unlike the other zombie that lay across the room made no noise.

"Jesus F*&^ing christ" and a moment to catch His breath he said."remind me to check inside the doorway next time willya?" and with that He offered Casey to walk into the room with a wave of his hand

His ears ringing, the Scientist-turned-impromptu-horror movie survivor jumped from the rear of the vechicle, unhooking the two depleted batteries and loading two fresh ones, crammingas many onto the backpack externally as the straps would allow, but not connecting them.
Struggling mildly under the weight, he loaded a fresh slug into the accelerator chamber, hefting the massdriver up.
"If all thats home is the stiffs, them Mr. stiff will meet my good friend, Mr. Supersonic Magnet" Justin said, sputing a cliche nearly as old as the universe itslef. "Lets go"

"Yeah, sure thing," Casey said glancing around to make sure the room was clear. "From what I recall there should only be two more rooms before we reach a dead end. From the looks of it, I doubt The Chief is alive," the duo continued through the room and reached the other door. Casey would open this one to give Lucas a bit of a break.

Casey turned the knob and swung the door open and as he moved to the right side of the outside wall he raised his gun to make sure the left side of the room was clear. Seeing nothing he turned and looked over the right side. The room appeared empty but Casey was still not convinced that death wasn't lurking around one of the corners.

He entered the room, Lucas moving in behind both with weapons at the ready. There was only one room after this and then that would lead to another stairway that led to nothing but locked doors as far as Casey knew. He was unsure of home much of the room had been unlocked having only had a brief mention of Ash and his mission. Still, Casey felt they would find the answers of the Chiefs location soon.

Casey and Lucas reached the other door and Casey moved to open it. When he tried to swing the door open it hit something and then a loud groan came from within the room. "Shit," Casey muttered as he raised his gun. He kicked the back with his foot when he was turning back causing it to hit the thing again prompting another groan. This time the thing was moved by the door and Casey was able to get a clear shot of the zombie. His shot went straight into the zombie's skull and only afterwards did Casey see that it was a member of Ash's team.

Looking up Casey and Lucas could see two other zombies and something lying on the floor that they were apparently eating. The two who were eating turned and screeched, these two were not like the others. They appeared to move quicker and with ease as opposed to the stiff movements of the other zombies Casey and Lucas had encountered.

The two raised their guns and fired. One zombie fell, the othe rmoved to the side, wounded. Casey moved in and fired until his gun was out of ammo. He quickly reloaded unsure if there would be more. Lucas and Casey walked over ot the body and Casey nodded, through the bite marks and blood it could be made out. In front of them lay The Chief of the W.C.P.D.

"Well that's great, The Chief is dead. Now we get to have a power struggle among the higher ranking officers," Casey turned to Lucas, "We should get back and have guards placed at the stairwell entrances. There is no telling if this ting has spread beyond this."

"Ah, so I was the only one not to bring one eh? Nevermind, at least you guys came prepared..."

Raymond continued working on trying to remove the vent cover while the others began searching the room for any clues possibly finding an antidote...

The group split up and began looking through the room in search of an antitode or something that may lead to one. Ash walked to another door that had two large windows on either side. Inside was a small room that had no other doors, but inside was a clear box and inside that were contianers.

"Just like the movies," Ash mused as he tried opening the door. He found it locked so he withdrew his shotgun. "I'm unlocking a door," Ash said loud enough for the others to hear him. He took several steps back and fired near the handle blowing a hole in the door. By now the others had found there way to where Ash was standing. Ash opened the door and found another door about a yard ahead but there was also a door switch on the side. He flipped the switch and the door unlocked allowing Ash to enter the other room.

To the side of the clear box was a folder. Ash opened it and skimmed through the pages. Apparently the red liquid in the container was the virus while the blue was the antitode. He carefully removed the red liquid and then took the case inside of the clear contianer out and went back outside to the others.

"We have an antitode."

After some time, Raymond finally managed to remove the grill from the front of the large air vent and climbed back down from the platform. Making his way through the large laboratory room he saw Ash who was carrying something emerge from a side door. Derek and Sam had also finished their sweep of the lab and made their way towards Ash who proudly announced...

"We have an antitode."

"Good work Ash!" Raymond exclaimed, "Did you find any information with it?... Like does it need to be used before the subject actually turns into a zombie, or can we use it to reverse the process?... And how much do we have?"
