In the heart of the "white" coastal city of Palanthas, the great library stands. A place of learning and of history, where Astinius the recorder makes his ever present scratches with his quill, marking history as it passes. If there was something we needed to know, this is the one place in all of Krynn where we could find it.

Some say he is the God Gilean himself, others say he is only an Avatar... nevertheless he knows all that has come to pass in this world. As we watch on, amazingly the quill scratches to a halt, and this wisened man looks up, his gaze peircing if somewhat impatient.

"Have you something to ask me? Quickly now... much passes in this world as we chatter away..."

"Have you something to ask me? Quickly now... much passes in this world as we chatter away..."

After that, Astinus resumed writing.

My quill scratched to a halt and I looked up, my piercing gaze betraying a slight hint of impatience.

"Have you something to ask me? Quickly now... much passes in the world as we chatter away..." I rehearsed. I expect myself to say this when I am visited by someone. Unfortunately, I will be interrupted by a POOF.

Eliar Swiftfire appeared with a POOF! A laptop computer in his arm. "Heya, Asty."

The otherworldly mage, Eliar Swiftfire appeared magically, holding a device that was invented in Planet Earth.

"Heya, Asty." He said in his annoying voice, but he was ignored as my attention was fixed completely on writing this entry. Astinus wrote.

"So, you want to start an adventure in Krynn, but you want some information about it? No worries, this is a place where you can find out about Krynn's history, historic figures, races, geography, gods, political and religious groups et cetera, just click HERE (http://www.dl3e.com/reference/), and you'll be led to sections of the library which will provide you the info you want." Eliar said. "If you have more questions you want to ask, even though you've already consulted these books, just go ask Astinus. But since the guy's usually a busy person, I suggest you go approach Bertrem and his gang instead."

Ditto with what Eliar Swiftfire said. Astinus wrote.
