kogata was a coastal town, equal parts highland and lowland. it was flat but infertile, not many places had this distinction not even in hizen. worse several yakuza factions had formed recently and carved the town into five districts. all the ronin kept their heads down when passing through. so for the most part nothing about kogata was ever openly questioned even by the fanatical guards who knew the town was corupted but never had enough evidence to cut down a single thief. recently trade in kogata had expanded at the expense of the peoples finances. the town needed several convicted ronin and retainers to exact a bloody judgment day. you are such a samurai
