As all of you probably already know, an orc horde of immense size is comming directly towards our small humble town (knowledge we owe to kind Master Fornost.) In an attempt to stop them at the Tall Trees [High Forest] we sent every able-bodied man to fight and protect our humble mining town. We have just come across some items of great value that will be greatly needed on the battlefield. Anyone left in the town interested in delivering them will be rewarded for doing so.
Vincent read the notice with a bit of curiosity and dread. Sure Vincent had helped repel small orc bands thinking to quickly raid the town but an entire orc horde? Thinking of his fair town in it's time of need, Vincent decided to go visit Lord Falken and inquire about the notice and possible dangers.
01/12/2005 7:45 AM
Urebil Dramana wlaks up to the notice, staring intently as his cloak blows in the cool evening air. He looks around and takes a closer look at the note. He steps back and walks down the long road, and then he sees another notice. He reads, and it staates the same. He stepps back. "Maybe," He thinks aloud, "This is my chance to prove my worth? I will try, and I will help Lord Falken. " He walks off brisckly in search of weapons...

(OOC: This charachter is kinda half baked, so if he doesnt seem quite so uh together, blame my slow mind.)
Grajar stood on a hill facing the small village. His band of scouts stood behind him. The massive war hammer in his right hand was soaked with the blood of a logger who had stood up to him. The man's skull hung from its belt by its spine. Grajar let out a rough belching war cry and his band answered it. The hoard had ordered him to take his band and soften up the village. He had no quarrels with that. He sounded his war cry again and began running, his band on his heels.
01/19/2005 5:07 PM
(OOC: Sry abou the double post but nobody seems to be replying to this hence...)
Grajar reached the edge of the town, swinging his war hammer at a slow running civilian. Suddenly he stopped, impaled by a long sword. He coughed black blodd and slid down the blade.
Seth had landed on the orc's back, skewering him. Now as the orc slid down the weaapon, seth launched himslef at the the other five orcs, decapitating two, and imaling a third. The fourth and fifth backed up, unsure of what to do. Seth snarled at them, sending them running. That had been fun.

Namiko walked around her house preparing weapons for the warriors. It was very odd for a woman to do such tasks but it was required if they wanted to survive.
Vincent arrived at the Lord's manor and motioned to a near-by guard to let him in. The guard looked at him skeptically.
"I have business concerning the notices around town. I wish to speak to his Lordship," he called out to the guard when it seemed he would be turned away.
01/19/2005 6:16 PM
Namiko knew that it will be risky to even dare to get close to someone who had been outside fighting but she knew she had to distribute the new weapons. She was working in the mannor at the time when she decided to approach the man called Vincent.
"Lord, come near. I must show you the new weapons I created" she was scared to even mention her weapons at the time.
"Lord?" Vincent silently mouthed to himself as the strange woman approached. He could see her carrying a few weapons then looked down at his own, a pair of shabby daggers.
"It seems I could use a few new weapons," he agreed as the woman came nearer. "What do you have? And more importantly, the price, for I think you must have me mistaken with someone else."
01/19/2005 6:46 PM
"Well I only ask for protection if I were to go outside these walls", she then guided him to the forging room, "I'm in charge of forging all weapons for protection, as you can see I have all kinds of swords and daggers and shields"
She walked to a corner, where she took out a golden shield.
"I was waiting to sell this to someone who could be worthy of keeping it", she let him touch the shield.
01/19/2005 6:58 PM
Seth sheathed the sword on his back, looking for another threat. When he saw none, he glanced out over the valey. Seth growled as he walked towards the castle. He strolled past the guard who drew a sword to stop him.
"Do you really wanna mess with me little man?"
Seth drew his sword.
"I need in, theres an important matter at hand. Now, move it, or I will kill you."
He shifted the sword around threatening the death it held.
01/19/2005 7:03 PM
She heard the noise coming from outside. As she approached the door she saw a unfamiliar face.
"Please put your weapon down"
She walked up to him.
"Who do you need to speak with?" "Maybe I can be of assistance"
Vincent looked at the shield longingly.
"I'm sorry but I can not accept this. Though it is a beautiful item, I am not skilled in the ways to use shields, I have always used two weapons. Perhaps you have some swords?" He asked looking around the forge. Then noticed the woman look away and walk out. He moved to follow her but decided against it, instead turning back to the many weapons. He looked through the assortment until he came across a very intricate short sword.
"Ah, this truly is brilliant work," Vincent said to himself as he decided to ask about it when the woman returned.
01/19/2005 7:12 PM
Scared she pulled out from that fight. She went back to the forging room.
"So, I see, have you decided on any items my lord?"
She took out a couple iron and steel combination daggers.
"Maybe this might help in the battle field if you loose a sword"
Then she saw the man's expression, as she saw the artifact he was holding.
"Will you like to take that one?"
"Take it?" Vincent replied skeptically. He began tossing the blade from hand to hand, it seemed to be perfectly balance. "Perhaps," he finally said after toying with the blade. "Though it may need a companion to fight alongside. I do not have much gold to my name but whatever I have will be yours."
01/19/2005 7:19 PM
Confused by his words she decided to introduce herself.
"I know I have confused you somehow in this mannor, my name is Namiko. The only woman currently living here, so I had to take to one skill that could gain me some respect in these times" "You may take the weapon, no price, is been long since anyone new has come to this place. Is hard to meet new people"

(OOC: Please Lady Namiko, enter a character desription in the OOC page)
The Lord's manor stood tall dressed in stony walls. Around it, there were a few watchtowers (which were a bit unguarded with most men preparing for battle outside the town). The men had left the town to fight the orcs close to the High Forest rather than in the village. For the orcs were not yet close to the village. Master Fornost, a warrior had arrived at the town and warned the Lord about the tribe of orcs marching towards his town. There were few guards now in the village to protect it. Everyone was full of anxiety waiting for something to happen or news to come.
"Thank you," Vincent said to the woman, slipping the sword into his sheath then cocked his head as he heard an odd noise. It seemed that someone outside was yelling. He quickly pushed the door open and stepped outside to see a guard arguing with another man.
"Excuse me," he called out to them. "I still seek a conference with his Lordship."
01/20/2005 7:56 PM
"A do I. Theres been an attcak. The horde has picked up the pace, now MOVE!"
He Jumped over the guards, landing with a grace that betrayed humanity. He sprinted for the manor, ignoring the archers. This was far too important. As he passed vincent he muttered.
"Thank you for the distraction friend."
Then he was gone, weaving around workers and vaulting obstacles he couldnt dodge.
01/20/2005 11:40 PM
Iorlas Isengrem watched the small town from a hill on the outskirts of the outerwall. He found it absolutely amusing that the villagers intended to stay and fight the horde of orcs headed there way.His mission was simple eliminate his old client Jobar Bracegurdle.Iorlas had been hired to swiftly and silently terminate him.He could not be allowed to leave the mining town.Jobar had leaked information and that proved leathal in his case as his unknown employer had offered a price no assassin could deny.He carefully stalked his prey and learned he was bedding at the halfling tavern near the center of the town.As he approached the tavern he knew it would be hard to go unoticed seeing as he would probably be the only Elf in the tavern. He opened the door to the tavern and walked in over to a table where 3 halflings where drinking and playing a game of cards.
01/21/2005 8:37 AM
Namiko stood in the castle alone, at least in the forgery room. She was glad that warrior took the weapon, she knew it will help against the orcs. Sometimes she would be asked what race she belonged to but the ran away at the second they asked her. She then decided to get out of the castle for the first time.
"I hope nothing goes wrong, where might the lord be though?"
She walked among the paths and heard people rumoring about her, a maiden no one had seen before.
01/22/2005 4:27 PM
The guards seem perplexed by the man who had jumped OVER them! As each recovered they followed him close behind, not daring to attack.
There were very few archers up on the towers, and they seemed unsure of how to react to the situation below. They all had their arrows ready but trusted that their fellow guards would take care of any problems. Finally, the man in charge of the archers shot his arrow which stuck on the ground dangerously close to Seth.
There was only one man guarding the large door of the manor. Afraid to leave his position he stood in front of the door with his weapon ready to attack. He screamed, "Stand back and state your business!"
01/23/2005 10:10 AM
She was scared, then she decided to go back to the castle. As she approached she saw a battle between a guard and the man she had seen before. Namiko was terrified to see any bloodshed spread into their mannor which had been battle free for some time now, the orcs had not even gotten close to it, thanks to the force they had. She went up to the two men,
"If you must fight, please step aside from the mannor", she shivered in fear of what they would do next, kill her or just yell at her for intruding in their battle.
01/24/2005 2:33 PM
Iorlas watched the halfings as they cheated in thier card game. His well trained eyes saw every movement the cheaters made.He silently joined in the game and flipped his 3 cards face down. The fatest greedy halfling quickly turned one of Iorlas's cards over.Iorlas simply smirked as he had a higher card. The halfling quickly grabbed for the coins Iorlas had placed for his bet, only to have his grubby little hand almost scewered by Iorlas's dagger. "Hey you lost!!!" Squealed the fat halfling.Other halfings were watching all over the tavern now their eyes full of fear and intrigue."I believe the winings go to me..I didnt cheat." Iorlas shook the halflings arm until a pile of high cards matching the same deck they were all using fell out onto the table."Please dont hurt me.." The halfing whimpered. "I want information.." Iorlas glared at the other halflings and tightned his grip on the fat halflings collar. "What information do you seek Elf?" A skinny and much older halfing inquired. "Tell me...Where is Jobar?" 'Im an old friend.' The older halfling nodded. "He died not to long ago." Iorlas could tell by the way his eyes flickered about and his demeanor that the older halfling was lieing."Aye he took sick and died about 2 months ago." Another halfing chimed in. Iorlas was amused how the halflings built thier lies off of each other.Iorlas increased pressure on the fat halfling enough to where he was shreiking in pain."Oh he died? Thats to bad...I needed to speak to him."
01/24/2005 6:38 PM
As she stood there, she remembered the young man to whom she had given her sword. She then forgot to tell the man the many uses of the sword, which was intentionally made for the lord of the mannor. She was afraid that her life was gonna be taken that night but still she tried to stop the men from spilling blood in the place that had been her home for many years. She then reminded herself that she was no elf, no dwarft, she was nothing known, the men could have taken her for an orc if she didn't look so pretty. She was certain that the lord would not harm her since she was the only one that made the weapons for battle.
01/25/2005 12:30 PM
The fat halfling was crying now."I suggest that you tell me the truth or you will be having a similar experiance to your friend." Iorlas took out a bag of coins that hung on his belt inside his cloak. He tossed it onto the table infront of the other halflings."There is more platnum in there than you have ever seen in your little greedy lives.." Iorlas smirked as they dug there fingers through all the platnum coins.Iorlas released the fat halfling by sitting him down very firmly."Where is Jobar?" The older halfling spoke up."Last i heard he was on the third floor.there are only 4 rooms up there." Iorlas quickly vanished in the shadows of the tavern as the words left the halflings mouth.
01/28/2005 8:11 PM
Seth skidded to a halt, bringing his sword up to the throat of the closest guard chasing him. He turned his head to the door guard.
"Theres been an attack. The orcs are picking up the pace. We must prepare the town immediately. I've been shading the main army and i had trouble keeping pace. Now move or I'll make you."
A string of urine colored light whizzed out and cut a hole in the door. It also singed the guards sideburns off.
"MOVE IT. NOW!"
01/29/2005 8:17 PM
Iorlas stealthily made his way up to Jobar's room.He found the door to his room completely unguarded."Strange.." It would seem this job was too easy for what he was being paid.Iorlas creaked the door open enough to where he could see the fat hafling snoring loudly in his little bed.Iorlas hovered over his chubby body now Shadowheart pressed against his tiny little throat."You left the door unlocked.."Iorlas whispered into the halflings ear as Iorlas quickly ran his enchanted dagger across his throat producing a garggling sound.
Vincent had followed the enraged man through the gate, the guards hardly noticing him as they concentrated on the angry warrior. Now it seemed that a fight would break out as the man forced his way into the the Lord's house. Vincent quickly called out to each side.
"Please, could we all just calm down a bit. It seems we are on the same side," he yelled to the men at the door, hoping they would hear the wisdom in his words.
01/30/2005 9:21 AM
Seth snarled something illegible then gestured with his free hand for the guard to move.
"Third strike and your out pal, move or melt."
His eyes glowed urine yellow and began to spark.
01/30/2005 11:29 AM
She stood behind the guard as if ready to attack anyone who looked suspicious, then she heard the soldier's voice whom she recognized.
"Move now!", she yelled to the guard as he let her pass.
"What do you want with the Lord?"
01/31/2005 5:05 PM
Seths eyes stopped glowing.
"I need to speak with him. I have vital intelligence on the orc hoard. If i dont get in there, this towns gone. Now please move."
He growled at the guard behind him, his canines slipping down over his lower lip, before he sheathed the sword on his back.
02/01/2005 4:23 PM
"Halt!" the word soared down from a man standing on the tower. Just as it did an arrow landed on the ground menacingly close to Seth's foot. The archers suddenly seemed to be more interested in something outside the gates.
The lone guard in front of the large door however, didn't even move. His muscles did ease when Seth sheathed his weapon. Now there were two more guards standing behind the two men. Finally after a few seconds of observation, the guard said between gritted teeth, "Enter, but leave your weapons outside."
02/01/2005 4:39 PM
(OOC: Master Iorlas, would you mind posting a character description in the OOC page?)
"You left the door unlocked..."
A curious guard watched Iorlas outside the dark room. Something strange was happening in the halfling inn. The guard had walked up to the rooms to check on an old friend when he saw a door wide open. There was no light in the room but that which streamed from the moon and through the curtains, so he could only make out the shadow of a man bending over the bed. He heard a gargling sound and his hand leaped on to the hilt of his sword.
"Sir, may I be of any help?" he muttered in his grim voice.
02/01/2005 7:55 PM
Seth tossed his weapon to the forgeist.
"Loose that and you'll be sorry."
He ran into the citadel.
02/02/2005 3:27 PM
"I'll take care of the weapon", she then snatched the weapon as the guard was about to reach it.
Then she headed back to the forgery room.
Vincent looked at the departing woman, then at the open door to the lord's mansion. He was unsure if the guard's invitation included him so he followed the woman who had given him his sword. Vincent entered the forgery shortly after Namiko.
"Hello again," he called out to the woman.
02/02/2005 4:17 PM
The doors opened wide behind Seth. The hall that met him was large, but simple. There were carved wooden pillars standing tall all around and stone stairs sat proudly. The place looked rather sad and lonely because of the emptyness. There were two more doors at the far end of the room, but as Seth came in, "Hello, do you need help, or better yet, would you give me help?" a booming voice came from high upon the stairs.
Lord Falken walked proudly down the stone stairs. His dark, tangled hair hung beside his face, which was handsome. He looked as much a warrior king as a clever aristocrat. A strange force ordered those around him to bow. But in his face was the restlessness and grief of a man whose people were in grave danger.
02/02/2005 8:38 PM
Seth had been hurrying down the middle of the hall and when the lord spoke he increased his pace.
"Your lordship, you and your town are in grave danger. The orcs have increased their pace and are in the borders of your land. I have followed, harrased and destroyed as many as I can, but they simply out number the town. I'm afraid without foreign aid, your small town will fall to ruin. I'm here to help, but I'm only one man. Send for your allys if possible and increase defensive measures."
With a quick bow he awaited the lord's response.
02/02/2005 9:37 PM
The Lord stared scrutinizingly, his brows furrowed; then, his face relaxed. There was no trap. He opened his mouth but before any words escaped his mouth the loud sound of the doors of the hall broke the silence. A man stood there, he was wounded on one arm, but it didn't seem to annoy him at all. He bowed.
"My Lord, I come from the army. All the forces are ready and according to our scouts the orc force is some three or four days away. However, a small troop got past us somehow. It's attacking the town right now." Lord Falken listened to this carefully. The man went on, "The strange thing is, when I started towards the town, there were no more than a dozen of the foul things, but now that they reached the town, there must be three times that number! I'm not sure what this means, it may just be magic." Lord Falken analysed the news while he scratched his short beard.
"You have done a great job, now go to the healers," he answered, then turning towards Seth, he went on, "As you may know I have no men, but a handful of guards to shelter the town from minor dangers. Our whole militia has gone to fight the orc army. What you have seen is only a part of it. However, we're very vulnerable right now," surprisingly Lord Falken gave a great bow to Seth, "if you help me sir, i would be forever in your debt."
With its white head bowed down the steed made its way along the path towards the small town that had been noted on the map of the rider upon the horses back.
The rider on the lean muscular horse was slender beneath the grey doeskin cloak that lay draped across her petite shoulders. She looked lost in her own thoughts as she allowed her horse to plot its own course towards there ultimate objective.
Sunlight filtered through the trees and gleamed off the top knot of golden hair that was held in place with a white band of silk with a beautiful griffon feather showing her once so important rank among her peers. With her hair up it was apparent the young woman was of pure elven heritage.
With her mind away among her past expoits she remembered her Father and his hard but loving ways then her mind moved onto her Mother, as beautiful and caring as she was deadly in battle.
Brought back to the present time as the Elven rider absorbed the vision of the Town before her.
She rode slowly into the settlement among the buildings and civilisation.....................
02/03/2005 1:25 PM
Namiko heard the voice familiar to her and stopped what she was doing. She turned around and it was Vincent, the man to whom she had given a sword previously.
"Hello there, I see you still carry the sword with you, I thought you might have lost it already"
Vincent smiled at the seeming ludicrous comment, of course he still had the sword! His hand slowly reached down to the hilt of the magnificent weapon, clasping and un-clasping it in his hand. He drew it out before him, inspecting the fine blade and intricate hilt.
"This blade is truly magnificent," he said admiring the weapon, then looked to the woman. "If you truly made this, I have one more favor to ask of you. I know it may seem rude, but I need another," he stated hastily, looking around the room at the many weapons and pieces of armor. "And perhaps a bit of armor," he said as an afterthought, noticing a suit that would fit him nicely.
02/03/2005 8:17 PM
"Like you even have to ask lord."
He offered a quick bow and ripped out of the building, searching for the woman who had his sword.
He began homing in on it, prepared to use magic if neccessary to exterminate the orcs. Suddenly he saw her and streaked over too her.
"Lady, I need my sword, the orcs are attacking."
He nodded to vincent and accepted his sword, before sprinting for the town section under siege.
The elven female felt heavy with fatigue on her steed, she stared at the paniced populace of the town as she rode through there habitat.
02/04/2005 7:08 PM
She looked at him gladly for what he had asked.
"Of course I will make you a weapon and armor, it will be my honor", bows at him.
"I thank you," he said to the female blacksmith, offering her a warm smile. "However, it seems that the orcs have arrived a bit sooner than planned," he stated, turning for the door. As he slowly opened the door, he turned back to regard the young woman. "I will return for my equipment after I help deter these fould beasts," he called as the door shut behind him.
Vincent could hear the fighting coming from the other end of town. He reached down, feeling the hilt of his newest weapon, before sprinting off. Vincent smiled to himself, thinking of the fun he would be having in the next few moments.
02/04/2005 7:49 PM
Lord Falken stared at the warrior as he walked away. Then he turned towards the single guard by the gates. "I'm sorry but it seems that the only way we're going to live through this, is going to be by putting your life on the line. Go, and..." the lord told him, but was interrupted by the guard's scrutinizing stare.
"I'll be all right! The orcs can't reach me here," he said, stranged at the guard's attitude.
"My lord, I'm not afraid of the orcs trying to reach you, I'm afraid of you trying to reach the orcs," as the guard said this, Lord Falken frowned at him but he went on, "with your health like this, we can't let you go on battle."
The lord gave him a smile and said, "Find anyone willing to fight, and tell them to reprt to Master Seth."
"But sire, there are barely any men left, they're all..."
"Anyone, men or women," responded Lord Falken. And with one more look at his lord, the guard left.
02/04/2005 11:04 PM
Seth was in a righteous rage. He entered the battle in a whirling dance of death and killing two orcs simultaneously. The rest of the band stopped and looked at him. He realized there was only a few people behind him. Meh, magic time. A string of urin colored light shot from his extended hand and killed the closest orc to him, and then the orc stood back up. Seth shook his head. Ok, these ones had tricks. He began firing the basic killing spells all over, but the orcs rose even after being struck repeatedly. Seth snarled and reverted to his sword, charging with a battle cry and hearing a small amount of answering crys from behind him. Seth knew he couldnt win, but he would. His death did not lie here, but on a beach faaar faaar away. He had seen it.
02/06/2005 5:13 PM
She immidietly got to work on the weapons.
"I wanna do my best, the best work I can". she said whi;e forging the armor made of pure iron and a rare metal she had found earlier in her life.
She kept working night after night. She was tired but kept working on the weapons, she was also afraid of the fate of the town. She then tried to speak with the lord of the mannor about the matter. She found herself wrestling with the guards to let her in.
02/06/2005 5:47 PM
Seth and the militia had been winning the siege. The orcs couldnt appear fast enough, or whatever they were doing to reinforce themselves. Finly the last orc fell by Seth's hand and a loud cheer went up. Hands clapped him on the back but he ignored them. He strolled towards the mannor to inform the lord. He rounded the corner and saw the guards and forgeist arguing loudly. He walked up behind her and snarled at the guards.
"Move pal or I'll make you half the man you are."
He gestured with his hand towards the blade on his back and the guard right moved over. Maybe it was the orc blood or the look in his eyes. He nodded to the girl and walked in. Pushing open the doors to the hall he walked up to the lord's throne, readjusting his loosening grieves.
"The threat for now is dead. The townsfolk around here suffered minimal casualties and the orcs, despite their numbers, never breached the town barriere. Requesting orders."
He gave his typical short bow, more of a nod with a bent knee, and straightened up again.
02/06/2005 6:11 PM
The guard hadn't found anyone who would dare fight the band of orcs attacking their town. And it had been hard enough to get past the orcs. So, as the battle waged he quickly scanned the outskirts of town, unknwing that the battle was almost over.
Finally, he spotted a figure on horsback. Hoping for the best, he approached it. He got close enough to realize it was an elf. Hope rushed to his heart. It had to be a great elven warrior from the High Forest. As he ran towards the alf, he noticed it was a she. Taken back but still hopeful, he went over to Elemendrel and bowed.
"Great Lady, I come in the name of the Lord who leads the town you see below you. We're in grave danger and in great need of help, we would be ever thankful if you could help us fight off the foul orcs."
Only the stopping of her horse brought the Elven rider round from her deep trance like state where she relived her past.
Looking through the guard like he was transparent, her eyes flickered with little if no recognition of his arrival. She heard his words, even the mention of her feminity which till then had been neglected either because of her occupation or through her isolation whilst she travelled.
Like a diamond among the dark rocks of a mine the word orc sparkled and grasped her attention. The thought of bringing death to the greenskins filled Elemendrel with a nervous energy that she always felt when combat was upon her, the nervousness began to edge into the controlled rage that flowed through her lithe body.
Her gaze now fell upon the guard with an intensity born of her now growing hunger to kill.
She slowly lifted her left leg from the back of the steed she rode, her cloak billowed as she landed softly on the ground next to the horse. Unbuckling the cloak at the clasp at her right shoulder she gracefully turned and swung it over the bare back of the white steed.
Elemendrel stood clad in a dyed white leather tunic beneath the silvery glint of the elven chainmail shirt she wore. Her white leather trousers plunged into the riding boots she wore that clad her up to her knees. Across the rear of the belt she wore at her waist extended a two handed sword in a dark sheath of leather. At her right shoulder could be seen the hilt of a longsword.
"Where do these orc's reside?" In a cold tone born of her close almost intimate relationship with killing, the death of warmth in her voice could not supress the melodic tones her heritage and once joyful life had created................
02/07/2005 7:10 AM
"PLease let me talk to the Lord", she pleaded to the guard. She looked worried as she knew that something was about to happen, something that could destroy the village.
"Tell him that Lady Namiko seeks his guidance on a matter that troubles the land"she said to the guard
Vincent had successfully helped repel the orc charge, killing a few himself. Now it was over and it seemed the town would have peace for a little bit. He calmly sheathed his short sword and dagger, turning his gaze back to the castle then around the town. He noticed that there were very few soldiers about. Vincent shrugged his soldiers, turning to walk back to the castle and disregarding that they were sourly outnumbered; in his mind, every man was worth ten, perhaps twenty orcs.
02/07/2005 9:33 PM
Seth found there was no new order or threat so he left the building. On the way out he saw that the girl the guards were barring was still there. Seth strolled through the gate then tunred to the guard.
"Hey buddy, she wants in, she has to talk to the lord, so let her in."
The guard, the same one Seth had given a rough shave earlier, said,
"Too bad. Shes not allowed in usually, shes not getting in today."
Seth rested a hand on his sword and pulled five inches of it out.
"We can argue or you can let her in. By the looks of your weapons shes responsible for making and repairing them, now let her in."
The guard backed up, glaring. Seth's grey eyes flashed yellow briefly then resettled.
Seth continued down the thouroughfare, heading for the nearest tavern.
02/09/2005 10:10 AM
"Thanks you", she bowed to him as he walked away.
She walked through the halls of the palace to the highest tower where the lord was usually out.
"I hope he lets me in", she had a bad feeling about the orcs, she had constant nightmares about them approaching and slaying each and one of the soldiers of the mannor and taking over such. She was afraid. A guard she had taken care for that had come back from a battle previously was standing in the Lord's door.
"I call upon the lord for which my duty is to protect our mannor too, please tell him that my visit is of extreme importance", she said, then the guard knocked on the door and went in. She was nervous since she had never spoken to the lord before in person.

Seth settled on a stoll in the tavern and ordered a small cup of weak ale. After he downed it, he left, leaving a small tip as well as the coin required for the beer. He wnt outside, made sure nobody was around and slumped against a wall. He felt incredibly weak and old. He took a shuddery breath and rose to his feet. He would sleep on a roof tonight.
02/10/2005 9:45 PM
Lord Falken closely watched Lady Namiko enter. He gave her a warm smile.
"I have heard of the great work you've done as a smith. Thank you. I assume your visit has something to do with the OrcWar. I also have a request to ask you, but please tell me what troubles you."
02/11/2005 4:53 PM
She felt relieved that the Lord let her in.
"My Lord, lately I've had dreams that concluded with the attack of the orcs to this mannor", she looked down worried, "I saw how they took every weapon from the fallen soldiers and used it against us, I'm scared of what is to be next"
Vincent made his way back towards the mannor, and then into Lady Namiko's forge. He admired the many pieces of work she had created, they were truly magnificent. After a few moments of scrounging through the piles of weapons, he found one that he thought could compliment the one he had already recieved, a silver short sword. Vincent picked up the sword, admiring the work, then thrust it foward at his imaginary opponent.
02/13/2005 2:19 PM
The Lord's gaze flew to one of the windows.
"Yes, we're all afraid. Especially me; I'm the greatest coward in this town... Our town is fairly new, and according to the man who warned us of the orc threat said they were coming straight in our direction. It's so strange..."
"Anyways, I have a great favor to ask you. I have to ask one more person to put their life in risk," with this he gave a sad sigh, "Well, I better cut to the chase, I have just come across... some items that would be of great help in the battlefield. I'm afraid to let any more guards go. If another band of orcs got past, we wouldn't have a chance. And, I'm very thankful to Master Seth for helping against the orcs, but he's a mercenary after all. We only have some three days befor the battle breaks. So I beg of you, would you take this sword to Master Fornost in the field?" As he said this he walked over to an old looking table and took out a sheathed sword.
02/13/2005 4:30 PM
Seth slaiced the top of the barrel off with a clean stroke of his sword. The emptiness would soon be filled. Seth knew where to get what he needed to finish this. First he traveled by rooftop to the general store. Where he bought enough salt to cure an army of pigs. This he carried back to his roof top encampment by magic. Then he bounded off to the town smithy. He bought enough coal to fill the lord's fire for years. This he also returned to his rooftop. Next he bounded towards the smithy at the palace. He cleared the wall by bounding up a veritable staircase of buildings. He landed on the roof of the forge then dropped to the ground. He entered and saw that namiko wasnt there. He rested against the wall, aware of Vincent but not calling attention to himself.
02/14/2005 8:46 AM
She shivered in fear but still was ready to do her errand.
"I will do it, but I have a request to make before I leave", she took from a little velvet bag which contained a letter inside, "I wanna know what I am?, I know I'm not human nor orc but....." she studdered,"Inside this letter there is the name of a town, I was born there and they know what I am, this is something that has been hunting me." she handed him the letter,"I know is a hard task but is all I ask for my services", she began walking towards the door and stoped for a second, "You are not a coward, just find the courage you need"
02/15/2005 6:40 PM
Seth shifted minutely as he spotted roughly what he would need. I was a small spiked ball. He approached it and plucked it off the rack. It was big enough to fit in his hand. There was a patch of missing spikes so a hand could fit in it without being punctured. He weighed it in his hand and nodded. This would almost be perfect. He heard footsteps behind him and turned to face the approaching entity.
02/15/2005 10:43 PM
As soon as the guard spoke Iorlas vanished melting into the shadows. There was no catching the expert assassin.Iorlas would have to be more careful if he was to keep his reputation.A myriad of feelings swirled inside Iorlas as he thought about the halflings death. His old employer had been a little unorthadox in raging a war against other Halfling gangs, using Iorlas as a personal assassin to rid Jobar of all his enemies. The pay was rediculously good, but Iorlas didnt care about money. He lived for the danger.
02/18/2005 7:15 PM
She took the sword from the lord and stood there for more instructions, mostly on how to get to the battlefield, she was indeed scaredm fearful for her life but determine to prove to all the men in the mannor that she was not as fearful as a rat.
02/18/2005 10:26 PM
Seth plucked two more of the balls off the shelf, shaking his head. Nobody was there. He juggled them for a second before pulling more off. He looked up their price on a paper tacked to a wall and left about seven pounds of gold under the ledge of the desk. He pulled a sack seemingly out thin air and put his purchases in the bag. He slung this over his shoulder then headed back to his roof. He just needed sulphur and then he would provide a weapon that the orcs would fear.

(OOC: Sorry, busy week!)
Lord Falken looked at the letter that was handed to him. Then, he looked up at Namiko and gave her a smile, "Your request will be accomplished to the best of my abilities. I won't rest until an answer is found."
"To get to the battlefield..." he stopped for a second to think, "there are two ways to the Tall Trees. You can go by the tunnels and you may get there in but a day; that is, if you don't get lost or worse. The tunnels were made for transportation but were soon infested with foul creatures. You may also prefer to go around the mountains under the shade of the trees. It would take you two or three days and your trip that way would be much more uneventful. Either way, you should be able to get to the battlefield before war breaks. However, I still recommend haste. You should leave as soon as possible." He turned around as if to leave, but then looked back towards Namiko and said, "You should probably also look for companions. Once again thank you."
Lord Falken lowered one knee and walked majestically away.
02/19/2005 9:19 PM
(OOC: SORRY FOR LEAVING YOU OUT THAT LONG!)
The guard looked at Elemendrel, again wondering exactly how much she could do. Then, he turned towards the town. The fight seemed to have quietened down.
"My lady, let me lead you in to our town as I explain our current situation."
Vincent had spent his time after the short skirmish in the forge. He had been searching for some sort of armor and a weapon to compliment the one he had just received. After browsing through almost all of the stock, he had come across a very intricate silver dagger and a light mesh, silver armor and had put them onto a nearby table, waiting for the Lady's return when he would ask her about the items.
02/20/2005 9:58 AM
she hurried fast back to the forge, still fearful but at least a bit more tranquil. As she walked in she saw Vincent standng looking at the weapons.
"Have you been here long?", she closed the door, "I hope I didn't make you wait too long"
02/20/2005 11:58 AM
"Not too long," Vincent replied with a smile, then held up the dagger and armor. "Perhaps we can come to an agreement?" he asked, raising an eyebrow as he showed the lady the items he wished to purchase.
02/20/2005 1:33 PM
Iorlas vanished right before his eyes. The guard, in his long black jacket moved forward towards the unmoving body in the bed. He was puzzled by the disappearance of the man so his hand stayed on the hilt of his sword. He came forth and pulled the blanket back to find a halfling bathed in blood. The man had been an assaisan of some kind. The guard pulled out his large two-handed sword and turned from facing one wall to another in a swirl of motion, not sure which shadow hid the murderer.
Still holding up his sword the man yelled, "I know not who you are, but I have a business that will be of importance to you, assaisan! Come forth, lest you mind living in the stench of an orc town. I want to offer you a deal."
02/20/2005 4:28 PM
Damien took another of his hand-rolled cigarettes out of his container and lit it with a tindertwig. After taking a long draw, he read the notice left by the Lord once more. He blew out a long line of smoke and looked to the road that led into the town. The torrential rain hadn't let up since he'd first made out for this backwater town; he was used to it by now.
Damien headed into the town, hoping he wasn't attracting any undue attention to himself. Between draws on his cigarette he retraced the vision he'd had over and over again. "Damn you, Grazz't," he said as he blew out a long puff of smoke, "you always make things so difficult for me." He knew he had to find a girl, named Namiko. Damien took one last drag on his cigarette--they always seemed to go faster these days-- and stamped it out on the mud road. He supposed he'd start at the Lord's house, and go from there. After lighting another smoke, he started for the Lord's manor.
He walked through the gates of the house, assuring the guards that he was here concerning the Orc infestation problem. They let him pass on the condition that he threw out his cigarette. Damien finished it and stamped it out as he had the previous one. He walked inside, his boots clacking loudly on the cobblestone in the courtyard. Once inside, Damien looked to a young squire. "Where can I Find the Lord of this castle?" He asked. The Squire pointed out a long corridor. "Go down there and take a left, it's the door at the very end. Do you have an appointment, sir?" The young lad asked. "No, I'm here for the Orcs." Damien replied. "Ah, well I'm sure your business is urgent then." Damien tipped his rain-soaked hat and smiled. He headed for the Lord's chamber and rapped heavily on the door, hoping the Lord was about.

She paused for a second as she felt something were to come.
"Someone is coming, I can feel it", she went up to Vincent, "If you come with me to deliver these sword, I will not charge anything for the weapons", she studdered, "I'm afraid to get out of here alone, I've lived here most of my short life"
She went to the table where the weapons were and took the daggers, "I forged the weapons you asked me"
Vincent stared at the lady in front of him, barely keeping his mouth shut. Some more free items, Vincent could hardly believe his ears. In all of his years, he had never been so lucky, not even on his birthday.
"Of course I will help you," he quickly replied, taking the daggers from the lady and putting them into his belt; then picking the armor off of the table, he skillfully slid it over his torso. He looked back at the woman, raising an eyebrow as he regarded her.
"I am Vincent, and you are..." he trailed off as he waited for an answer.
(OOC-Its okay. Its unfolding well and Ive started a game so Ive been kept busy ;-D)
Seeing the less than impressed look upon the guards face Elemendrel allowed the human to judge her by looks and not actions, she played to his view as she allowed her rage to leave her.
She turned to her stead whispered a few elven words and the horse followed. As she turned and let the guard lead she rested her slender chainmail gloved hand on the hilt of her double handed sword.
"Lead the way my good sir" ..............
02/21/2005 10:18 AM
She kept walking back and forth, she knew this was to be a very serious arrangement since she worked hard on those weapons but she also valued her life even though she felt something coming her way, something unexpected, or someone. She felt it close to the mannor but didn't know exactly what it was. She walked towards Vincent and saw his face puzzled by the offer, an offer a normal warrior would gladly take but there was something else, a catch, but he did take the weapons. She was more puzzled by his attitude.
"I need to deliver a sword before the war starts, to the tall trees." she paused, "I'm sure lord Seth would have been more capable of this mission but as the Lord said, he is a mercenary. I was the next option. Would you get me to the tall trees safely?, you can keep the weapins and you will not have to bring me back here"

02/21/2005 2:48 PM
Damien waited....and waited...and waited...until finally he turned from the door. He wasn't upset or frustrated; this was a time of war, the Lord was probably at the front. Damien was heading back to the courtyard, but as he passed a side hallway, he felt a slight tingle in his chest. He stopped and looked down the dimly lit corridor to the single door boasted at the end. A slight smile crossed his lips for just a moment and he turned down the hallway. As he reached the door, he heard a small voice on the other side.
"I need to deliver a sword before the war starts, to the tall trees." she paused, "I'm sure lord Seth would have been more capable of this mission but as the Lord said, he is a mercenary. I was the next option. Would you get me to the tall trees safely?, you can keep the weapins and you will not have to bring me back here"
Damien knew better than to walk in on one of Grazz't's traps, so he waited patiently outside of the door.
"I accept, a little adventure never hurt anyone," he replied, a thin smirk on his face. He regarded the lady a few moments, wondering if she could even fight. After deciding it really did not matter, he moved towards the blacksmith.
"I am Vincent," he stated, offering his hand to the woman in front of him and peering into her eyes.
02/21/2005 5:44 PM
"Namiko, very nice doing business with you", she heard something outside the door, something like very much away. "Hold on I heard something".
She walked out the forge and walked somewhat heading to the lord's study, the guards already knew that she was welcome in, maybe because she was to be headed on a jorney but they let her in. She saw a strange man standing in the hallway.
02/21/2005 5:51 PM
Damien Looked up at the sound of light footsteps resounding in the hallway. He saw a female of small stature standing in front of him with an inquisitive look on her face. "Namiko, I presume?" He said, smiling in spite of himself. He took off his hat, revealing his tan, stubbly face and shoulder-length black hair, and dipped in a bow. He rose from his bow, replacing his worn hat on his head, covering his face once more and said, "My name is Damien Lockheart. I was wondering if I could perhaps take a moment of your time. I have something to tell you that is potentially upsetting. I won't take time to explain it all now, but to make a long story short, I have reason to believe that you are, or will be, a part in a plot of the Dark Prince. Now what I'm saying may be nothing but pure gibberish to yourself, but if you'd allow me to perhaps accompany you for the time being, I'd be much obliged." Damien paused, waiting for a response.

02/21/2005 6:35 PM
She was stunned by hearing his words.
"Evil plot, me", she kneeled down to see his face more clearly, "You must explain this to me" she waited fo a moment but began shivering in fear.
Vincent stood off to the side, listening to the conversation intently. His hands slowly dropped towards the hilts of his newly aquired daggers, willing to use them if anything came up.
02/21/2005 7:21 PM
Damien paused, feeling a pain in his chest. He winced a bit, but quickly regained his composure. "Perhaps I will find time to explain in full whence we begin our travels, but as for now, I fear time runs short. Be assured, miss, that I am not here to harm you or implement you in any sort of crime. I am here, if anything, to learn from you and protect you, though I know not what danger lies ahead."
Damien's gaze shifted then to the tall figure standing off to the side. His eyes lit up, if only for a moment. "And who might you be?"
02/21/2005 10:47 PM
"Lead the way my good sir"
As the man led the horse, he explained, "Well, it all started a few weeks ago. A warrior, by the name of Fornost came into the town. He told the Lord that an orc band was coming straight in our direction. After... confirmation, it was decided that it would be better to meet them in battle elsewhere. So our troops were organized and sent out to battle the orcs at Tall Trees. I'm one of the few guards left in our town. Somehow a small orc band sneaked past our army and are being fought as we speak."
Now, they were at the gates, and the man seemed extremely puzzled by the lack of commotion. As they reached a cheering crowd he said with a smile and a chuckle, "It seems we are a bit late, I don't know how the orc band was defeated so quickly, but, please we're still in need of help. If you still wish to aid us against the orcs, please report to Lord Falken."
Elemendrel followed behind the guard listening to his recital of the events that had proceeded her arrival.
Taking the guards instruction to go and find the company of Lord Falken, Elemendrel led her stead towards the manor where her knowledge of Humans meant the lord would usually reside.
02/22/2005 6:51 AM
Iorlas's mind quickly snapped back to full awareness as a man called out to him.Iorlas knew it was probably the guard that had walked in on his job.Iorlas quickly turned around and headed back to the halfling inn bursting into a sprint. He moved quickly through the shadows and was underneath the window in which the guard now stood looking out of it unaware that Iorlas was underneath him. "Speak your terms..." *Iorlas was growing impatient as he could be using this valueable time to escape this forsaken town.
02/22/2005 7:44 AM
SHe felt relief but saw Damian in pain, she worried even though she just had met him.
"Dear Sir, you are in much pain, follow me to the forge room to see if I can assist you, are you wounded?", she felt that she might be the one causing the pain but wanted to help. She looked up and saw Vincent had stood there listening, "Help me bring him to the forge room". she led the way going down the steps and into a much brighter hallway.
Vincent had eyed the man with a straight face, he felt no emotion towards the traveler on the floor. He slowly walked towards him, almost teasingly dragging his heels, and put one of the mans arms over his shoulder, then carried him with Namiko towards the forge. Vincent had no clue who this man was, he only knew that demons were never a good thing.
02/22/2005 2:36 PM
Seth aproached the manor gate, brushing by the guards without a glance. He knocked on teh door of the hall and waited for an invitation to enter. Sulphur was what he needed, and he would get it if his life depended on it. Because it did.
02/22/2005 6:32 PM
Damien walked into the forge room with the help of Namiko and her companion. "I'm not injured, or haven't been recently," he said. When they were in the forge room, he revealed the six-fingered hand of Grazz't that had been carved into his chest eight years ago by the Dark Prince. "Call it a supernatural beacon. Grazz't knows where I am at all times through this mark. I didn't take it by choice, but I shall speak more of this at a more suitable time. What is important now is that you allow me to travel with you, at least for the time being, and if for no other reason than to satisfy my own suspicion." Damien finally couldn't resist anymore, and took a cigarette from his container of them and lit it with a tindertwig. He took a long drag on it and, looking to the companion of Namiko, said, "You still haven't told me who you are," as the smoke escaped from his lips.
02/22/2005 6:38 PM
She looked at the mark like she had seen it before.
"I have seen this before, just don't know where or when, I would let you travel with us but please tell me more of this Dark Prince."
she felt melancholy for which she had a flash back from old times, when she was around five years old, she had seen someone made that same mark on someone she knew but could not exactly make out who that person was or where it was.
"Damian, this is my companion for now, Vincent, I forged his weapons", she said looking at Vincent who had a suspicious look on his face.
02/22/2005 6:46 PM
Damien blew out a puff of smoke and smiled. "The Dark Prince Grazz't is one of the most powerful archdemons in existence. He alone rules over four layers of the abyss, and is constantly at war with the archdemon Orcus." He noticed Namiko's curious gaze. "When I was but a boy, Grazz't attacked my home and killed everyone there to my knowledge, save me. He let me live with this mark. I don't know what purpose it serves, but it seems my contact with the demon has granted me the power of exorcism. Whether this is a mere side-effect or a predestined cause, I cannot say. What I do know, is that demons come to the material plane to spread the misery they feel, and I know misery loves company, so I figure that demons can gongregate with themselves, by themselves, in their own plane." He took one last drag on his cigarette and flicked it into the forge. "And Pleasure to meet you, Vincent." He said with a wry grin.
Vincent walked foward, staring coldly at the self proclaimed exorcist. His hand moved quickly, coming off the hilt of his blades and out in front of Damien, extending it in an offer of friendship, or perhaps mutual benefit.
Vincent looked the man in the eyes, searching for anything on the surface. He could clearly see the pain, it shone in his eyes as if a fire blazed within him, perhaps it was some sort of side effect from the demon. Vincent figuered his story was true, and if not, it did not really matter.
02/22/2005 7:26 PM
"Dear men, would you please calm down" she said after looking at both men expressions. "So this dark lord wants something with me, we never know I might be one of his creations" she laughed nervously.
"I don't know where I'm from or anything, one day I woke up here" she said, "Would any of you want water or any food, we have a long journey to go"
As she walked towards her table she felt pain in her arms. She leaned on the table as she saw a black mark in shape of a snake forming on her right palm, she covered this immidietly

02/22/2005 10:01 PM
The guard gave a vague smile to wherever it was that the assaisan hid.
"My terms?" he let out a chuckle, "How about, if you don't help us, this town will be overthrown by orcs? If you don't help, you lose whatever home or job," he said, frowning at the dead body, "you have here. I only ask you a small aid, and I promise not to charge you for the crime you commited on this halfling's throat. I cannot reward you, but my lord may..."
02/23/2005 4:35 PM
Damien reached up and shook Vincent's hand firmly. Rising to his feet, he reached for another cigarette. He extracted a tinder twig to strike, and that's when he felt it. He watched Namiko lean heavily on a table and quickly clinch her right hand into a fist. After a long moment of contemplation, Damien lit his cigarette. Taking a long draw, he heard the voice of Grazz't: "They see the truth, and perhaps more than they ought to know..." Damien exhaled a long line of smoke, and his demeanor soured visibly.
02/23/2005 4:40 PM
She heard this, and was surprised. Then she smiled softly at him.
"So you know too", she said walking up to him, then she showed her mark, "Is a snake, very odd in my opinion"
"I didn't hear anything," Vincent absently replied, he did not seem to know what was going on. Namiko's apparent illness had passed and the man seemed to be a bit contemplative. Vincent walked over towards the two, and for the first time, noticed the snake that seemed to slither around Namiko's palm.
"Indeed, very odd," he replied. As he studied the mark, a long, drawn out frown stretched across his face.
"This is a tattoo, right?"
02/23/2005 5:02 PM
Damien chuckled, taking another drag on his cigarette. He then uttered a phrase in abyssmal. As he spoke the vile language, the light from the forge seemed to diminish, and only the burning from his cigarette remained as bright as it was. But what was more interesting, was the response of the mark on Namiko's hand. Damien laughed again, and the forge returned to it's normal brightness. Damien watched as the snake on Namiko's hand coiled back into it's original position. Damien smiled in spite of himself, and could only respond with the phrase "bene tellamara."
02/23/2005 5:03 PM
*Iorlas revealed himself now his black cloak around him and his hood covered his face.* "Why should i care for these people's fate?" *Iorlas glared at the guard through his black hood.* "If they are so weak that they cannot defend themselves...Then they deserve death.." *Iorlas slowly turned his back to the guard* "I live for danger...Not money..."
OOC- My character is independent if you want him to think about siding with the towns folk maybe a different approach would convince him.... XD
02/23/2005 5:06 PM
She shivered in fear, fear of herself, fear of Damien. She walked out the room for a second to calm down. She sat on the floor in the halways and tears would not stop falling from her eyes, she remembered something and Damien seemed to know what it was.
Vincent's spine tingled as the man spoke some sort of hellish language, the light diminishing in the forge. Vincent stared at Namiko's palm, the snake had ceased its apparent movement and had recoiled into its first position.
"What.... What just happened?" Vincent asked, his head felt as though it had been placed on a swivel, his vision faded in and out before he finally sat down, rubbing his eyes and head.
02/23/2005 5:41 PM
She saw her arm, and had a flash back, everything was dark, everything was scary, the day had turned dark before usual and she was sitting with a couple of kids and their parents in what seemed to be a town meeting. Then they attacked
02/23/2005 6:31 PM
Damien stood with his back to the other two. The mystery that was Namiko seemed to be unravelling faster than he'd expected, and with much more intrigue than he'd ever thought possible. He flicked another cigarette into the fire. "Fear not, miss Namiko and Mr. Vincent. As I said before, I am not the enemy. I simply had to see if it could be true." The implications of what had happened all those years ago at the monestary were more vivid than ever in Damien's mind. "Be forewarned, young miss, yours is a destiny of champions." Damien then noticed the state that Vincent was in. Damien lit another cigarette and went to Vincent, offering him one. "They help clear your mind," he said, holding the cigarette to him.
"Why not?" Vincent replied as he took the cigarette from the man. "Oh, it seems that you know my name, yet I do not know yours," he stated through puffs of smoke. The man was correct, Vincent could already feel the stress rolling off with each inhale.
02/23/2005 6:42 PM
"Damien Lockheart, at your service." Damien replied. "Now, it would seem that miss Namiko has a sword to deliver. I suggest we make haste towards the high forest before the town is overrun by orcs, lest we find ourselves unable to unravel the apparent mystery we've stumbled upon." Damien helped Vincent to his feet and walked to Namiko. "Shall we continue, miss?"
02/23/2005 6:57 PM
(OOC: Ah! I love a challenge!)
The man smiled as Iorlas showed himself. "Well Mr. Adventurer , I assure you, there is much danger in a field plagued of orcs. Also, if money doesn't interest you, maybe some exclusive information of high - quality will. Have you heard of our town's prophet , the blind cleric who claims to having clairvoyance, the one they call The Seer?"
02/23/2005 7:26 PM
*Iorlas seemed to examine the man's words as he spoke them.A smile formed on his face forming an evil grin.He turned around slowly, and folded his arms.* "Interesting..." *Iorlas was interested now because there was a certain artifact that always seemed to elude him no matter how close he came to finding its whereabouts.* "You have my attention..."
02/24/2005 7:07 AM
"Yes, we should" she walked up to the weapons cabinet and threw a couple of daggers over to Damien,"Be careful with those, they are very sharp"
02/24/2005 8:56 AM
Damien stuck the daggers into his belt and smiled. "Thank you." He then took up point and started out of the forge room towards the courtyard...
02/24/2005 5:45 PM
She quickly followed and took a couple of weapons she created with her for further use.
"Wait for me" she hurried, "C'mon Vincent, we are gonna be late"
Vincent smirked to himself. His long brown hair floated behind him as he jogged after his two new companions. He finally caught up to them as they exited the forge building.
"Where are we going?" He asked aloud, he did not believe he had uncovered the information yet. A he stepped outside, he noticed the sun beating down upon the village. Stray rays made their way towards the companion through the large Weirwood that inhabited the central courtyard, its leaves and branches swaying in the wind.
02/24/2005 6:26 PM
The leaves blew her black hair to her face and she thought of this as peaceful.
"This is such a beutiful place", she looked at Vincent, "We have to get to the Tall Trees"
02/25/2005 6:45 PM
Damien paused only to light another cigarette. If it weren't for his grim task in life, the beauty of the place wouldn't have been lost on him. He turned to Namiko. "Well miss, i certainly do not know where these Tall Trees are at, so you'd be leading the way." He motioned for her to lead onward.
02/25/2005 9:59 PM
Seth had talked to a guard at least, and found some sulphur. He made his barrels of death and doom and loaded them into a cart. He knew where the tall trees were, so he set out. He passed a small group of people, one of which was smoking, and nodded in their direction. Fellow warriors.
02/26/2005 9:45 AM
She looked up to the man in the cart and bowed.
"Lord Seth, how nice to see you again", she said, "Would you please led us in the way of the Tall trees, I see you are carrying weaponry there"
02/26/2005 2:31 PM
Elemendrel led her stead towards the manor where her knowledge of Humans meant the lord would usually reside.
A guard in the manor gates saw Elemendrel approach, and he bellowed, "Halt! State your name and business."
02/26/2005 2:43 PM
"Why certainly. I'm taking the overland route though, if any of you had your heart set on the tunnels. The trees are this way."
Seth began walking steadily towards the edge of the town and the tall trees in question. The barrels clacked against each other, as the cart they were in rumbled over a bump in the road. Seth scratched a match against a rough clay wall as he passed, sparking his own cigarette alight and puffing twin jets of smoke from his nose.
02/26/2005 5:07 PM
Damien tipped his hat to the group's newfound guide. "Greetings, Mister Seth. My name is Damien." He slung his crossbow over his shoulder, just in case any trouble was to be about. With that, he let his cigarette drop from his mouth and stamped out before extracting another and lighting it.
02/27/2005 10:30 AM
She looked at Damien.
"You know you smoke too much", she giggled probably for the first time in her life, then she looked at Seth, "Yes, we would like to go through the tunnels, Lord Falken told me it was the quickest wasy to get to the tall trees"
Halting before the resolute guard the elven swordsmain looked at the guard with an alof glare.
"My names Elemendrel and I resent relaying my business to you but I will allow you the courtesy of knowing I am not here to murder or pillage like the bastard Orcs are"
The Elfs left eyebrow rose simualtaneously to her words to emphasise she believed the guards line of questioning was not his business.
"Im here to see your Lord as I wish to use slay these greenskins. Show me to your superior"
02/28/2005 8:01 AM
The guard was right about to open the gates for Elemendrel, when he remembered, "M'lady, there was a group of adventurers, who were leaving for Tall Trees. If you're interested, go to them. Last I saw them, they were in the coutyard." he explained while pointing where Namiko and her companions were.
The female elf nodded at the guard as a sign of her appreciation for his directions as she moved towards the group of alien companions she had not met before.
Head up straight she walked unfazed at the thought of more interaction with civilization other than with herself.
Elemendrel smiled her eyes glinting with manic ferocity as her unhinged personality showed fleetingly.
"Well Met, I am Elemendrel" her voice warm and welcoming as she waited for a reply from the arrayed group.
02/28/2005 9:19 AM
"Hello there", she bowed. "I'm lady Namiko" she looked at the lady elf and had another flashback, this time it was on the woods, she was alone and saw a house, it was the mannor. SHe snapped right back from that.
"Well Met my Fair Namiko" The Elf smiled at the young girl.
The Elven swordsmain looked at the Human as she appeared to become distant and swiftly appeared to return to her senses.
"Are you well girl?" The warrior spoke gently
02/28/2005 3:08 PM
"Yes, I guess so, not sure though", she looked away somewhat in fear but she knew she wanted to remember, "Lets keep moving we have to reach the Tall Trees"
02/28/2005 4:13 PM
Damien chuckled in spite of himself, taking another drag on his cigarette. He knew this habit would one day do him in, but better at the devices of man than at the hands of Grazz't. He looked about, wondering how the group had grown so exponentially. No doubt one of The Dark Prince's many complications. Damien decided against introducing himself. If anyone wanted to know, they'd ask. Again he chuckled and took another drag on his cigarette.
03/01/2005 6:30 AM
"Damien, pardon this question but you mentioned the Dark Prince and everything is somewhat connected to myself" she looked down, "How do you know all of this?"
03/02/2005 6:30 PM
Seth rubbed his chin with one hand. The cart with his new weapons left to sit for a moment. He puffed a smoke ring and nodded to the newcomer.
His eyes were busy flickering as they always did when he was thinking hard (or hardly thinking). He would probably need more then just his sword and five barrels of explosive, but he had a tendency to come across weapons all over the place. It was a perk of the occupation.
Elemendrel nodded at the man as spoke his welcome.
"Well Met Good Sir"
03/03/2005 8:45 AM
She looked at the many people now to join them. "Our group has gotten bigger as we try to advance""Is nice" she paused, "To be with people and not by myself"
03/03/2005 1:46 PM
Damien looked to Namiko. "Let's just say that Grazz't loves his intrigue." he said. He smiled and blew a long line of smoke up into the air. "Nothing happens on his agenda without a reason."
OOC: Damien doesn't know why Grazz't shows him the things that he does, only that Grazz't is obviously using it for some sort of greater scheme.
03/03/2005 5:49 PM
"Love is a very complicated thing you have to say that", she looked at Damien,"He must really love causing much pain, something I really don't want to help him do"
03/03/2005 11:31 PM
"You have my attention..." said Iorlas.
The guard's smile widened.
"You see, this man is my very own brother. So, I often overhear... things of importance. If there's something you need to know, something you're looking for, and I can't provide the answer, I'm sure my brother will be able to. He's the greatest diviner I've heard of, a master of his craft. I can guarantee you, he will answer any question, all for a small service to our community."
(OOC: Sorry for absence.)
Vincent followed behind the three. His hands occasionally settled onto his blades as he thought of what awaited them. With a resound sigh, he finally confronted his companions.
"Exactly how are we going to just deliver this sword to Master... I forget. There must be at least a few hundred orcs between here and there and we are just a rag tag band of adventurers. I say we use stealth to our advantage," he added as he looked towards Seth. "I am sure we will get our opportunity to fight, but until that opportunity arises... I say that secrecy is our friend."
03/04/2005 9:59 PM
"What, you think I'm stupid? We stash this little guys at the closest outpost to the fray with explicit instructions not to touch them, and nip on by the army on the way to master whashisface. Its easy as cake and a piece of pie."
Seth forced the cart along behind him using his limited magic abilities. He plucked a newly aquired dagger ( alright he had stollen it from a drunkard who intended to savage him with it) and began running it over a whetstone. The dagger's keen edge was already sharp enough to groove a bone but Seth considered it dull. The sharp grating sound was music to Seth's ears. Ah war. Ah KILLING. Why guild the lilly, he had taken this job for the killing over the money. His thoughts were clearly audible to anyone who cared to listen usually, but suddenly they arced out from him. The primitive string that ran through his core.
[kill must kill rip tear destroy murder rape pillage and plunder death money is seondary MURDER]
He cut the thought off, worriedly glancing around. If anyone here was even remotely close to gifted.. The forgeist had twitched, maybe it was involuntary. Seth continued sharpening the dagger, forcing his murderous bloodlust back into storage. He'd have to be carefull or he might slaughter the group out of sheer...... what... he couldnt put a picture on the word, but an image arose from his deep subconcious. His blade soaked in blood, his body soaked in blood, and the bodies of an entrie war lay scattered around him. He knew in this picture he had killed both sides, but this was only an image. He knew he wasnt prophetic, only gifted in the arts of death.
03/05/2005 12:51 PM
"You guys take care of the orcs, I'll take care of the sword from a point, when is time to fight I'll deliver the sword and go on my own, I wont be a burden" she smiled then, "Vincent, you must not worry"
03/05/2005 6:27 PM
Damien took a final drag on his cigarette and stamped it out on the ground. After a short coughing spell, he looked at Namiko. He didn't know what Grazz't even had in store for her, if he had anything at all. "If you don't mind," he said, "I'll accompany you while you watch over this sword." Damien figured he'd just stated the obvious, but he wanted to make sure he had the record straight. It was then that he noticed Seth sharpening his blade, maybe a bit to vigorously.....
03/06/2005 9:14 PM
Seth shook his head and slowed down his sharpening. That was close. It was an involuntary twitch after all. But Damien had noticed. Seth rose an eyebrow as if to say
"See anything green?"
He had said it outloud before he had even thought it.
03/07/2005 4:42 PM
Damien smiled, taking out another cigarette. "Soon enough, you shall see battle." He lit the cigarette and dragged heavily upon it. "As for now, be ever wary that your desires do not become you."
03/07/2005 6:23 PM
"If you guys do not mind, we have to keep moving", she knew something was to happen, she felt it.
"I agree," Vincent voiced loudly. His hands had been resting on the hilts of his weapons for the past few hours, something in the air did not feel right. "Perhaps we should try to conceal ourselves a little better from now on," he silently scolded his companions. In truth, Vincent was not angry but rather very agitated. To him it felt as if they were experiencing the quiet before the storm.
03/08/2005 12:13 PM
Damien blew out a long puff of smoke and looked around. Perhaps his companions were right. He checked to makesure his crossbow was in working order, and then brought a hand over to grip the hilt of the bastard sword that was fastened to his back. He also remembered the dagger that Namiko had given him. Indeed, one was never underprepared when there was a smith about...
03/10/2005 6:42 AM
Namiko began walking towards the exit of the town, she did not wait for the others, she told them to follow, it was up to them to be quick
03/10/2005 6:31 PM
Damien Fell in line behind Namiko. He resolved to remain by her side through this trip, to make sure Grazz't didn't try to work any of his underhanded schemes.
03/10/2005 9:39 PM
Seth fell in behind Damian, the barrels floated along behind him, the cart abandoned. They looked like children, but children werent this lethal. Seth had sheathed the dagger, which was now sharp enough to cut metal. One didnt excel at this job without being thorough. He blew a zagged smoke ring and tossed the cigarette into the middle of the path. Below his robe, various throwing daggers, stars, and shivs rested. Most people saw his sword and though a bow would be a quick kill, but most found seth to be a tough kill. He still remebered the foolish dwarf with the composite bow. That had been entertaining. He absently drited up beside Namiko, walking slightly ahead of her. He did not attempt to engage in conversation. He was in war mode now.
03/11/2005 7:56 AM
She looked at Seth as he passed right next to her, she recognized a couple of the weapons he carried, they were the work of her mentor and she admired whoever killed with those.
Vincent followed cautiously behind the trio of adventurers. His hands rested on the hilts of his short swords. The man's hazel eyes slowly took in the landscape, lingering on a small wooded area ahead. He quickly picked up his pace and came to stand beside Namiko, who was in the lead.
"Perhaps a place to rest, perhaps a place for ambush," he quietly added.
03/11/2005 5:12 PM
Seth's hands moved to two small stars on his belt, and the fingers spread across four on each hand.
Seth had a small smirk growing on his face. Let the orcs try it, he would enjoy the slaughter.
03/11/2005 6:45 PM
Namiko heard something through the bushes, she was terrified that it might be an orc on the way.
03/11/2005 7:48 PM
Seth heard the noise and snarled menacingly. He had moved with incredible speed between the group and the trees, his hands flying up from his waist and unleashing eight small serrated discs which angled through the small orcish scout's neck. It fell, but there were loud growls and grumbles of confusion as the stars embedded in the trees. The orc gargled blackish blood then fell to the ground. Seth drew his sword and grinned.
"We have company."
03/12/2005 2:25 AM
The orcs, confused and startled, run for their weapons. They clearly hadn't noticed the party's approaching. A couple orcs had already been killed by a man, member of the group apparently. The scared orcs hid behind the trees, ready to fight or flee, as their nature told them to. But, the leader, who was rather smart for an orc, and understood well the importance of their mission and the foolishness of men took his rough orcish sword and left the cover of the trees with his sword up. Before anyone could react, he stabbed the sword deep into the ground and spread his arms out. Anyone who had heard of orcs knew this was extremely strange. Then he gasped something in the common tongue that was undecipherable because of the heavy, beastly accent.
03/12/2005 10:09 AM
Seth switched his sword to an underhand grip, holding the blade up behind his back with the handle pointed at the ground.
"Try again foul beast."
A star appeared in Seth's free hand, its long curved blades glinting with a yellowish tinge.
03/12/2005 6:40 PM
Damien nocked a bolt in his crossbow and moved to the outer rim of the group, trying to locate the orcs that had hidden in the trees.
03/12/2005 7:40 PM
Seth had been scanning the forest and had spotted another two orcs.
"Hurry up chieftan, or I'll uese your skull as a cofee mug."
Seth rolled the star across his knuckles briefly before lowering it to his waist again. He was loosing patience
03/13/2005 6:32 AM
Rapidly and without her subconcsience knowing Namiko took out four of her dagger and directed them to three of the orc's necks, killing them. Then she got out of that dreamlike situation looking at the orcs's blood flowing through their necks.
"How did I do that?", she was startled.
03/13/2005 11:34 AM
Vincent had immediatly blended into the shadows as soon as the fighting broke out. Slowly, he inched his way towards the orcs. If he could help out, he would; if not, that was okay also.
03/13/2005 6:28 PM
The orc leader seemed unexpectedly calm about his companion's death at the hand's of Namkio. He stood there, seeing the events unravel, wasting as much time as possible. He looked back, expecting to see if the orc group was already on the move. He actually saw a man, moving in between the trees, under the shadows. He yelled something to his fellow orcs which only they understood. The scared orcs, all keft their hiding spot behind the trees to get a strange object which was covered by an animal hide.
"We not want fight!" said the orc leader, turning back towards the humans.
03/13/2005 7:27 PM
"Yeah right, VINCENT! Dont let them get that thing under the skins. Damien... Do.. whatever."
Seth sudenly threw the star. with a whining moan, it angled strait for the orc's fore head. He followed closely his blade whickering through the air. Seth was raised on shoot first and ask questions later.
Vincent let out a string of curses as the battle lust seemed to take over his companion. Perhaps is was a trap, but fighting was not always the answer. Vincent quickly closed the gap between himself and the orcs, letting out a quick flurry of attacks. After he had met the first two, he spun around, reversing his grip on the swords, and lunged straight for the Orcish Captain.
03/13/2005 8:25 PM
Seth brought his sword up to pierce the orc's heart about three feet awy from the captain. The star banked in a gust of wind and removed it's ear instead of splitting it's forehead like a book. Seth suddenly kicked the orc in the stomach and dropped on his back, pressing his knee into the orc's spine. His sword he brought to the back of the orc's neck and then severed the spinal column and cord. He rose from the gasping corpse and sheathed his sword. He brushed by vincent and ambled over to the tarpaulin of skin to find out what devilish toy the orcs had brought.
03/14/2005 12:08 PM
"Stop!!!!", Namiko yelled from the top of her lungs, she did not understand why she said this but thought it might be important to let them live.
She kept walking toward the slaughtered orcs and recognized something, it as an amulet that was hanging from an orc's neck. She kneeled and picked it up, then she cleaned it from the blood.
03/14/2005 2:28 PM
Damien looked around at the carnage Seth had wreaked. Melding into the shadows, he thought it might be best to see what would happen before letting his present postion be uncovered once again. He kept his crossbow at the ready, just in case.
03/15/2005 5:23 PM
Sica had barely started on the road to home before she could sense that something was wrong. "oh no" she thought to herself, " I am too late to save momma, how will I tell eevie?" She decided not to worry about it yet, after all it was only a gut feeling, something that hes never turned out to be wrong. Still something inside her told her that her small town had been invaded and torn to pieces.
Sica continued on her way.
The group did not notice the orc scout that had retreated from the small party, heading back towards the main army to relay the information concerning the small band of adventurers.
03/24/2005 7:44 PM
Damien was feeling uneasy. "Perhaps we should be moving; I wouldn't want to be caught where death lingers..."
03/25/2005 3:43 PM
"Get used to it pal, where we're going theres enough death to make a necromancer faint."
Seth was examining the skins with the careful scrutiny of one who had mastered booby traps. He poked the upper most skin with his sword and then prepared to remove the makeshift tarpaulin.
03/25/2005 5:54 PM
Namiko was surely scared at Seth's words. She recognized most of the path, like she had been there.
:We should get moving soon"
03/25/2005 10:45 PM
Seth turned and wandered back to the group.
"Ok, lets go then."
Seth sheathed his sword and lifted his barrles again.
03/26/2005 8:02 AM
Damien took his original position in the group and prepared to set off once more.
03/26/2005 11:16 AM
When the group took off, Vincent lagged behind. His mind was elsewhere since the encounter with the orcs. He replayed the skirmish over and over in his mind, trying to find some clue as to where the orcs came from or why they were even here. The answer eluded him.
03/26/2005 11:42 AM
The night wore on as the companions travelled. The moon was standing tall, when they suddenly heard a soft noise straight ahead. The sound of running water. There was a stream, and indeed it seemed welcoming. Under the shine of the stars it looked like a river of silver from the purest dwarven mines.
03/26/2005 12:41 PM
Damien surveyed the area and found it quite to his liking. "This seems like as good a place as any to make camp for the night." he said. "Shall we?"
03/26/2005 12:56 PM
Seth narrowed his eyes. Something was nagging him. The place seemed so... perfect.
"I suggest we keep a watch of two people at a time. Theres something fishy about this place."
He dropped his barrels carelessly into a pyramid and began dragging wood in from the edges of the clearing to make a fire. He never let his hand move too for from his weapons while he was doing this, as his hackles were up.
03/26/2005 6:59 PM
"This is a nice place", she said but she was hesitant about it, "I agree with Lord Seth, two people at a time should keep guard"
03/26/2005 10:45 PM
Seth started the fire which ripped into the air. It was quite large and hot. He sat with his back to it so his eyes wouldn't be startled by the darkness.
"Please miss, I'm not a lord, I'm a mercenarie. I'll take first watch. Any other volunteers?"
He stuck his sword in the ground and scaned the horizon for orcs or humans with evil intent.
03/26/2005 11:33 PM
Vincent sighed as he regarded his companions. To him, it had always been better to go ahead and get things over with rather than to putting them off, but rarely did he ever live up to his philosophy. He turned towards Seth, a thin smirk on his face.
"I'll take first watch with our friend," he said to the other two before turning north. As he made his way up stream, he looked back at Seth. "I'll take the north," he called out to the man before disappearing into the night.
03/27/2005 11:21 AM
(OOC: Wrong charachter exile. Seths only human. Careth is my doppelganger.)
Seth nodded and rose. He scattered the barrels he had dragged all this way around the fire, in easy reach of a torch. He stuck three or four large sticks into the ground near the fire and put one in the fire itself. The end ignited and Seth pulled it out, sticking the unburnt end into the ground as well. With the makeshift torches completed, Seth began whitling a piece of wood with one of the shivs. It looked like a dog turd even though it was supposed to be a whale. Seth grunted and tossed the piece of wood into the fire.
03/27/2005 2:14 PM
Damien layed back and looked up into the night sky, placing his hat on top of his chest, and letting his shoulder-length black hair fan out onto the ground. He lit a cigarette and inhaled deeply on it. The skies reminded him of his time in the monestary, but he quickly cut off that train of thought before it led to more chilling memories. He looked to Namiko, who was standing in front of the fire. "So, tell me about yourself, miss." he said with a smile as he took another drag on his cigarette.
03/27/2005 2:39 PM
She smiled at him, talking about her life was a little hard but she was willing to talk to him since he knew about her mark.
"Well, there is just little that I can remember, I keep having flash backs of my life but all I really remember is knowing how to build weapons" she took the charm that she took from the orc's neck in her hand and held it, she remembered something about it but was not really sure what ii was.
03/27/2005 4:33 PM
Damien exhaled a long puff of smoke, and took out the dagger that she had given him. It was almost a thing of beauty more than it was a weapon. "Well, you certainly remember that part well, " he commented. "Do you remember anything about where you grew up?" he asked, "or at least where you spent your childhood?"
03/27/2005 7:22 PM
Seth sighed. Why did everyone insist on talking? He rose and moved farther away from the fire. His sword rested un easily in the back sheath. He thought for a second and then threw his hand upwards (looking decidedly nazish), sending a small ball of yellow upwards. He closed his eyes and saw what the ball did. He left it to float in the air and opened his eyes. He turned and skirted Namiko and Damien's circle of fire light. He found vincent's tracks in the dark. The man had a bee in his bonnet which Seth intended to squash or barbecue. He began stealthily following Vincent's back trail, occasionaly closing his eyes and surveying the northern landscape, and soon caught up with him. He stood in the shadows, just out of Vincent's sight range. His eyes slowly lit up, glowing urine yellow.
03/29/2005 11:05 AM
"If I remember anything....." she paused, "I don't really know, even what I am, I've been asking myself where I learned everything for most part of the time spend in the mannor" she looked directly at Damien, "I thought coming along and getting the mission to deliver the sword might help me remember"
03/29/2005 4:42 PM
A cold breeze blew out Exile's torch. At the same time, the bushes all around him started moving simoultaneously like they hid violent beasts ready to attack.
From behind the bushes, he grinned as he saw with his one eye, the human alone in the dark.
Vincent snapped to attention as the bushes around him began to violently move. Simultaneously, his torch was blown out. Vincent dropped the unusable item to the ground and drew out his short swords. Slowly, he began rocking back and forth on either leg, ready to react as soon as danger presented itself.
"Who goes there?" He called out menacingly, his short swords resting ominously in the air before him.
03/29/2005 6:36 PM
Seth walked into the clearing.
"The friendly neighborhood merc."
His own sword appeared in his hand.
"Either you smirk a lot, or you have a problem with yours truly."
Seth looked around suddenly as the bushes began shaking.
"This can wait. We're in trouble. Let's just hope Namiko hasn't been overrun."
He turned his back to Vincent and prepared to engage whatever exploded from the trees.
03/29/2005 6:56 PM
Damien flicked his cigarette into the fire and lit another. "Well, perhaps it will, or at least provide a clue." He sighed, letting out a puff of smoke. Something about this anomaly of a girl seemed awry. He couldn't put his finger on it, but he was sure it would surface eventually. That was when he noticed Namiko's warming gaze. He dragged long on his cigarette and returned the look with the only one he knew; the emotionless, icy stare of an exorcist.
03/29/2005 11:29 PM
He cackled, long and heartily. He looked at the two humans, and confidently stepped out from the bushes. It was an orc, and it looked a bit uglier than the norm, if that was possible. He was old and one of his eyes was closed... no, it had been poked out. He had done it to himself to honor Gruumsh, the One-Eyed. He had also painted a symbol of his god in his forehead. That, and the battered robes rarely worn by orcs, screamed the word "shaman". One of the clerics of the evil god of orcs.
He came out of the bushes leaning on a staff and with a wide grin on his face. Before Vincent or Seth could react, the orc shaman pulled a small piece of iron from his robe began chanting a Hold Person spell. Seth suddenly felt a stiffening sensation in his muscles. He couldn't move, but was completely awar of his surroundings. The orc priest gave him a smirk and advanced towards Vincent, preparing another spell.
03/30/2005 12:33 PM
Namiko saw the orc chanting and how this had affected Seth. Suddenly she felt out of her own body for which a voice came through calling the orc.
"You there", she pointed at the orc as her eyes turned red like fire. "Leave!"
03/30/2005 4:30 PM
Seth struggled against the spell, but he was no mage.
*damnit, why is it always the orcs with the freeze hexes?*
He tried forcing the spell out, but it didnt work. He managed to close his eyes and see the north. Ten or so orcs were breaking from cover and blasting towards the camp.
*AW GREAT TIMING ORC*
Seth began to struggle harder, forcing his imense will against the spell holding his body. It slowly began to loosen (OOC: If thats not to your liking bard, just snap it down harder or something.)
03/30/2005 4:43 PM
The orc heard the girl scream at him from afar. His concentration broke for half a second, and because of that mistake, the other human was willing himself free. He paused and considered his options. He let the human free of his hold. Soon they would all be paralyzed.
"You," he growled as he pointed at Exile, "are coming with me, one way or another."
The orc shaman pulled out a tiny leather bag and a small candle. He began chanting and moving his hands to ask his god for a new spell.
03/30/2005 5:35 PM
Damien looked to Namiko. An odd reaction if he'd ever saw one. Then he heard the calamity that was ensuing. "Damn," he muttered has he dragged on his cigarette and stood, retrieving his crossbow. "Stay close, miss," he said to Namiko. He immediately began looking for a good defensive position. Upon hearing the shouts from the Orc further to the north, Damien decided to set his crossbow behind a rather large boulder so that he or Namiko could get to it if need be. He then drew his bastard sword out and clenched it in a two-handed position. "I know you're a capable blacksmith," the exorcist said to Namiko, "but can you wield a blade?"
03/30/2005 5:55 PM
Seth exploded out of the spell and immediately swung his sword at the orc's legs.
"THAT WASN'T COOL!"
The sword whickered through the air, promising severed limbs and bloodshed. Seth's free hand produced a shiv and prepared to unleash it on the cleric.
Vincent looked around the clearing, it seemed that the orcs continually entered, slowly forming a semi circle around their shaman. The young man turned to regard his companion, a grim look on his face.
"Get out of here," he calmly said to the three that had become his companions over the past few days. They stared back blankly, unsure if the man was beside himself. Vincent's anger boiled over as he watched them inch closer to him.
"What is it that you plan to do?!? Save me? Perhaps my fate is sealed but yours is not! They only want me, you just heard the beast!" He yelled at them, spit flying from his mouth as the veins in his neck bulged. With one exasperated look back, Vincent charged the orcs. His short swords worked furiously into thighs, arms, and torsos of any orc that dared approach him.
In the distance, a wolf began to howl.
03/30/2005 9:47 PM
The orc shaman growled as the man he had cursed a few seconds before broke free of his spell and went to attack him directly. The sword would have surely cut both his legs off had he not thrown himself backwards. The sword made a cut on his leg, breaking the orc's concentration completely. The orc moved away, not from fear, but to set his next spell. He drew out a block of granite and concentrated even further while chanting in its own brutish language.
Before anyone could react, a wall of stone rose between the orc shaman and the ongoing fight. Exile was in the orc priest's side of the wall. The wall, was at least five feet high, and there seemed to be no way around it. Exile and the orc cleric were trapped in the other side.

Seth struck the wall with his sword, sending a lance of sparks.
"Guess he's gone."
Seth turned around and glowered at the orcs remaining on his side of the wall. They quickly ran away as Seth struck one down with a string of urine colored light. He sheathed his sword and headed back towards the camp fire.
"The orc wont have stayed there. I'll bet he spirited his new catch away. We'll sleep here tonight, and head for the tall trees at first light. Any objections, remember, thousands of people's lives or one life. You can choose, either way I'm going to the trees."
He leaned against one of the barrels and stared at the sky.

"Yes I can", she said immidietly to Damien, she then took the sword away from from him and charged at the orc.
