I'm not to sure I should post here but....

Ok I'm new here and am totaly confused at what all these different places are, like forgotten realms and stuff. I also need an ok on a race for my character, it's called a changeling. If anyone here plays dnd it's in the monster manual 3. Basically then only thing it does is it can change the look of himself within certan boundries. 1. he can change his weight, but he can't weigh less than 50% of his natural weight or more than 150% 2. he can't grow wings or a tail or claws or fangs, he can just look like anyone he wants, even if they are an elf or a human or even an opposite gender. No immunities or strengths.

plus I need a direction to an adventure that's just starting and could use an archery type... I have no clue how to rp a melee fight, never done it. Actually I could use a general pat on the back today. and thanks for your replies

Hey, welcome to the Consortium! I'm rather new here myself, so I can't approve the changeling, but it sounds kinda interesting. As for the places, I believe that DnD takes place within the Forgotten Realms, or at least, is very similar to it. Ever played Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale? Those are Forgotten Realms settings. I'm not familiar with Dragonlance or White Wolf settings though.

As for an adventure, you might try the Dragonlance Saga forum. Just click on the Roleplay now link and go to the Roleplaying Forums. The Forgotten Realms link is just below the first section of boards. I'm in one called the Burning Tavern, and it's just starting for the most part, so you may try there. We could probably use an archer with no trouble.

And you can have a pat on the back from me. Here, have another, and... oh, I'd better stop now.

Yep. Baldur's Gates, Icewind Dale = Forgotten Realms.

Dragonlance settings... well, you won't really know unless you've read the Dragonlance novels or play the RPG.

So if you've heard of neither of the settings, I suggest you go to General Roleplaying.

Some forums that have been inactive for more than 2 months aren't displayed anymore. But if you intend to see them too, you can change it in your Account Information.

Eek. Apparently, you can't do that anymore. Used to be able to do that before RPGC made those changes.

For the RPG forums click "YOUR RP FORUMS SETTINGS" at the top and then set your "List Topics in the last:" to no limit or a higher limit. :)

For the other forums (Community or RPG Discussions) you click "Your Settings".
