At first, I was just going to let it ride. When things change you can EXPECT people to leave. It's their right.

First off, some people I see leaving I wasn't surprised. Some I do see as a surprised and from what Skystrike has posted I can tell their's either rumors or something started among you guys. I'm not sure what he means that "It was planned". It sounds like I'm intentionally trying to get rid of people.

I'm not. That's a stupid idea for someone trying to grow a place.

Second, it may come off that the Roleplaying part isn't important either. Wrong there too. Otherwise, I've been wasting my time trying to get opinions from you guys to help me write a specialized version of the forums to help you guys roleplay and not only that but try and keep your threads open...etc...

Third, I'm trying to get all these stuff and new changes up and it take time because I'm not doing this full time people! Not to mention there's more stuff coming to help make this a more entertaining place for YOU.

Anyway, I have to client emergency so I have to go handle that. What I am saying it whatever you're hearing about getting rid of people and stuff is bullshit and I would have apprieciate any concerns emailed or posted in the RPG Consortium thread. Some say you're leaving because you don't like how it's being ran or whatever but if you really cared I'm sure you would have let me know instead of running off.

Remember, I kept this place going for you guys and want to make it more than what it is for EVERYONE'S enjoyment. Changes takes time especially when I don't have much of it to get the stuff I want done here fast as I want it to be done.

Stay or go but if you're staying I hope you get more involved with a couple of ideas that's coming and for those who are leaving, then I wish you well. I'll miss alot of ya and that's the truth.

Hey Chung!
I just wanted to let you know that not all of us think that you've been planning on getting rid of us ;) Actually Jason is the only one that has this idea, as far as I know.

And honestly speaking I don't have anything against the changes that you plan or that you already have introduced. Actually I think most of them were great and I was looking forward to them. The problem is that the atmosphere here has changed.

I used to come here to relax and have fun, but lately there have been so many meaningless fights that I don't enjoy being here anymore. You could of course say that I don't need to read the posts that distress me, but they have been involving a few of my good friends, so I can't just close my eyes...

Anyway I'm gonna miss the boards and I guess I will be checking what's new once in a while!

Yeh, but it's involving THEM. :) Not you dear. Unfortunately, it's not fight if it was meaningless. lol Otherwise it's just a bunch of people being silly. ;) Besides, if it's the same people you're speaking of then they're the ones who's making it the way it is for them and their friends because they choose to get into it with whoever they are getting into it with. It's annoying to me as well as you but I'm not going to do something about it if they jump in and become part of it and then suddenly lodge a complaint about it. And unless I'm missing something here, those fights usually sits in the general forums. I haven't seen anything in here other than the thing with Tassa and Angel which Tassa emailed me about which really seemed to have been handles between them two anyway.

Anyway in the new forums we'll actaully have an ignore feature so that people can start ignoring people that get's on there nerves. lol

Well do come back and check it out and see if it changes for ya. Maybe things will be more comfortable for ya when things are more calmer.

Just to clarify, what I said was a personal theory, one that I cannot support or prove in anyway.

I was told of this thread so I just came back to mention that I will as well be 'checking in' from time to time. I dont think my reasons for leaving need as much public attention as they are getting so no need to worry. If anyone truly wants to know then they can email me.

Well, Chung, you still haven't gotten rid of me. I'm here and I'm staying.

However, my posts aren't as frequent and such, but that's merely because I have so much going on right now.

Will I be roleplaying here? Possibly. Possibly not. Depends on whether I find anything interesting.

I have moved my larger threads to the other forums, mainly because between this forum and those, it's hard to keep up. And well, most of the players have moved over there. (I would like to finish those threads.)

I do not want to discourage anyone from coming here or posting here. While the consortium is changing, I plan on staying. I like some of the ideas you have come up with, Chung. They are quite interesting.

You will see me still. Though I'll probably stay mostly in the General Discussions and such. But I'm not leaving.

The kender who stays.... How curious.....

Well, after everyone has fought so hard just to keep this place alive, it would be pretty pointless for me to leave now, right?

Yeah, I haven't been posting a lot here recently, FF2 is slowing down, mostly due to the absences of certain players, and also that I myself had lotsa other stuff to do at college.

I mean, hell, these days, I don't even have the time to write my own stuff either.

But I'll still be here.

(Flame wars? If I'm that affected by them, I wouldn't be here for 4 years at all. :D)

No, you of all people can't leave! ;) But you need to stay so do a few of some people that I seen say they are leaving should stay at least a little while longer at least to help make it the place that want it to be. :)

I haven't completely left. I'm beginning to think that I might not leave at all now. I mean, if everyone leaves, then this place will be no more. And I really can't leave Swifty. He's just too funny.

Chung as I mentioned in the Take it Outside thread this morning, I have decided that after talking and listening to many of my friends on the boards that I shouldn't leave them in such a manner.

As such, depending on Xander's response to my last post in the afore-mentioned thread, I will be limiting myself to the RP boards only, so that there are no more clashes or arguments.

I apologise to everyone else who has been affected by this conflict and I am trying to sort things out so that everything can return to normal again. Once again, I am sorry.

I look forward to seeing the changes... :)

Well, I own a Jpop/Jrock mailing list, so I understand it can be pretty irritating when unfair accusations were made against you whenever the members ain't happy or something. Sometimes, when people leave, they would also single you out and blah blah'ing about this being your fault and all those.

Hmph. Got a lot of crap like these when I first started my mailing list back when I was 15. I was silly, and allowed those comments and accusations to get into my head.

But now, I just shrug and say 'hey, YOU go run a mailing list with 1000+ members yourself'.

LOL! That's true, how can you leave swifty! :) It's good to know you're staying. I really like to see the more active regulars stay. For a specific reason that will be revealed later on once I jot it down and get it more concrete. :)

It's good to hear that you're staying. :) I like you and it's kinda silly (to me) that you'd leave because of a conflict with one user. I'd understand if the whole board was jumping on your case but... you know what I mean.

It's a good idea. I'm putting in an ignore feature in the new forums so that you can ignore posts from people you've put on the list so you can just zip by them to the new post. Of course, if someone else reply's to the ignored user you'd still see that but it'll help. Ignored users will also be banned from posting in any threads you've started if we have that set in the admin and I think we'll be implementing that feature. Basically, like what I've mentioned in the code base for the forums I'm speciifcally coding for RPing. :)

It happens man. :) It sucks but it happens. All I can do when something like this happens is wish those who are leaving well and hope they'll drop by once in a while and come back after a break. Sometimes we need a break from a website. :)

I was considering leaving this forums altogether for a while... mainly due to the increased flame wars and bickering going on with everyone... but I realized that 1: the RPGC will shortly be a much cooler place than it already is and 2: ...there will be an ignore button!! ^_^ Given that, (though I know I hadn't come out officially and said "I'm leaving!") I will be staying... though until the new changes occur, I will not even go so far as to read the other forums... I will be staying in the good ol' Roleplaying Forums!

And as an aside, I can't wait to see all the awesome changes you have in store, Chung!

Well, since most of the bickering happen outside the RP forum, I really don't care. Besides, it makes me cherish the RP forum even more. Uh huh.

The ignore button is cool, do we get to know we're in whose ignore lists or something?

No, but you'll know who you put on your ignore list. :)

If you suddenly get the feeling people are ignoring your posts, then it's a good bet a lot of people have you on their ignore list. lol
