OOC: *Joy dance* First interest! Yaaaaaaaay!

I am not familar with the world of Death-Gates

Actually, it's five worlds, connected by the death gate.

The worlds of deathgate are

Arianus, world of air: Here, water is precious, and the three race, humans, elves, and dwarves known as "gegs", live on floating isles of a rock named coralite, which is filled with bubbles of a gas that is lighter then air.

Elves posses technological magic, which gives life to in-animate objects. To navigate the skies, they use giant ships, shaped like dragons, and manned by the power of slaves, to move the giant wings, and are aided by magic.

Human's posses elemental magic, which affects living and animate things. Humans navigate the skies of Arianus by enchanted dragons, which they ride similarly to the dragonriders of Krynn, except that most dragons are simply flying reptiles.

(An exception is made for the Quicksilver dragons, who posses no wings, and are highly intelligent, and highly dangerous. The only know person to ride one was the wizard Sinistrad)

Dwarves posses no magics, and serve a giant machine, known as the Kicksey-Winsey, which is one of the most vital water producer on Arianus.
The true purpose of the Kicksey-Winsey is to align all the isles, and shoot a spout of water up, giving them rain.

If you are interested in reading the Death-Gate Cycle, they are written by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman. The first, Dragon Wing, takes place in Arianus.

Enjoy!

I personally felt that Airianus and the world of water are the most beautiful.

Yeah.

Pryan and Chelestra were definitely my favorites, though. Abarrach and Arianus were fine, but Elven Star is definitely my favorite of the first four books. Dragon Wing did have Hugh the Hand in it, which was excellent, but it just.....

.........

I'm going to edit the first post, since there isn't much interest in this. Probably going to start a thread set in the Labyrinth. If you look at it, the Labyrinth has incredible potential.

Hehe. I don't find anything fine about Abarrach.

OOC: Well, well. I am wondering something. Is this set in the Forgotten Realms? I mean, i want to use a drow elf that i created, if you dont mind?

I thought she just said that it'll be set in the Deathgate worlds. Ya know, the 7 books from Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis.

... the world of water IS Chelestra. Nah, I'm always a 'one thread' guy. Can't concentrate on too much at once. But I'll be watching.

So when is this thread ever going to shoot up?

Avenging_Angel

OOC: Er...
No. Death Gate is series by M.Weiss and T. Hickman about a future of Earth, where two races of demi-gods battle over six worlds, and humans, dwarves, and elves just try and stay alive.
