The middle aged Zod felt strange walking down the halls of the Wayrenth Tower of High Sorcery. Zod was not really sure as to why this was true, because the thirty year old human had walked down these halls all of his life, but for some reason this time it had felt very different. Perhaps the strange feeling was due to the fact that Zod was about to have a meeting that would change the course of his life forever, or perhaps he was just imagining it. Either way Zod had a huge case of the jitters, which he was ashamed of as he had not had them since his teens.

Zod's footfalls echoed as they fell down upon the marble floor of the grand hallway. Zod knew at the end of the hall was master Salian's study, and he knew that the grand archmage of the conclave would be waiting for him there. Zod was sure of this because he had asked the grand master to meet with him earlier that week and this had been the time that master Par-Salian had said he would have a moment to meet with the grand caster.

Zod's black robes flailed about at his feet as he picked up his pace a bit. Zod wanted to make sure that he did not keep Par-Salian waiting too long, as he knew that the archmage would view that as disrespect, and considering what Zod was about to see Par-Salian for, he did not want to be on the mage's bad side.

When Zod finally came to the door of the master white robes' study, he moved to knock upon the wooden door but he was instantly teleported inside the office upon his attempt. The sudden teleportation startled Zod, but after a moment or two he had gotten over it and moved deeper into the study. Bookshelves lined the walls and the insides of the room and created a kind of maze that one had to go through. After some careful navigation, Zod came to the other end of the room, which he found to his surprise, had no wall, but rather a great window. The orange color of the setting sun came through the grand window, and lit up the room with a strange orange glow. It gave the room a warm kind of feeling but only in a creepy kind of way.

To his left, Zod found a large staircase moving up to a second level that overlooked the one under it. Climbing the stairs, Zod was meet with only another maze of bookshelves. Going through this one with great care, Zod eventually found himself standing before a desk, in which the master archmage sat silently scribbling upon a piece of parchment.

Zod was silent for a long while as Par-Salian continued to scribble upon the parchment, Zod did not want to risk speaking until the master mage had finished what he was doing. Zod wanted to be sure that he was not interrupting. It seemed though, that Par-Salian would have none of that.

“So tell me young one, what is it that is so urgent that you seek my guidance?” Par-Salian asked not turning his attention away from what he was writing.

As to avoid annoying the archmage, Zod began to speak, forcing himself to avoid dangerous stutters, “Master Salian, It seems as of late that I have not been true to the agenda of my alignment.”
At this, Par-Salian looked up from the parchment and straight into Zod’s eyes. This made Zod feel very uncomfortable, but he forced himself to continue so that there may be no issue.

“I feel that due to recent events I can no longer find myself in service of the Dark Lady.” The young black robe said, looking to the master mage’s eyes.

“And you trouble me with this why? If you question your alignment, then become a red robe, and learn about yourself from there.” Par-Salian said, sounding rather annoyed.

“Well I had thought to do so Sir, but something has happened that has lead me to a more radical change in the plan…” Zod said.

“Oh, and what is that then? Spit it out now!” Par-Salian said.

Zod was hesitant to continue. Something about the way the orange glow fell upon Par-Salian’s face kind of scared Zod a bit, and he was quick to scold himself for such a child like emotion such as fear. Soon though, he managed to get over his fear and he began to speak to the master mage.

“Sir, I believe myself having of visions from the Platinum Dragon, and I wish to make the change from black to white so that I may better understand them Sir.” Zod said.

Par-Salian was very silent for a while.

“Oh, I see. Sit down then, and tell me what you know…”

Five Years Later…

((OOC: Heya!, So here is the idea. I have a basic story lined out, but any and all kind of characters are welcome. Other mages are most welcome as well as any kind of character. The only thing I ask is that there is at least one black robe character to mock Zod for his sudden radical change in robes. Tell me if you’re all interested, and a bit about your characters. I make a second post if people are interested in this, and continue the new timeline, setting everything in place for new role players entries.))

Kari is a black robed Kagonesti elf. I'm thinking Zod had instructed her and she had developed a kind of crush on him. I haven't worked up to much on her yet :) but here's what I have so far....

Kari sighed as she placed her pile of black bound books on the chair in the corner of her room. She had been hard at work all day, and as of late was having a hard time concentrating. She didn't understand. She used to be so good at it.
Her eyes fluttered to the picture that stood upon her night stand. The picture of an old teacher went horribly horrbily wrong. He had been the only master that could have ever taught her anything... Not even Dalamar could get through to her.
Sure she could create liquid fire with the best of them, and she had summoned plenty of creatures from the other plane, but it just wasn't the same without him.
It was the one mistake he ever made.
"Zod you fool." She thought, shaking her head to herself. "Master Nuitari isn't pleased..."
"That's right." A voice came from the corner of her room. Her head turned, as her knees buckled. A man with an ageless face stood before her, as she sank to her knees.
"M-master!" She exclaimed. "How can I be of service to you?!"
"Zod.. has become a problem."
"How so?"
"He knows to much." Nuitari spat. "Girl I don't have time to explain this, so I will make it simple. He knows entirley to much about the black robes and thier abilities. And the way he's headed he will be an archmage. For the time being you will be an agent working for me. I want you to keep a close eye on him.. and if he does anything suspicious.. contact Dalamar the dark right away." His eyes closed to a squint.
"Yes Leige." She whispered, finding it hard to find her voice.
Nuitari vanished in a flash of cold black light, that left shivers up her spine. She looked to the picture of Zod.
"It has begun.." She whispered. Turning out of her room, she went to find the man she was looking for. The black mage, turned white.Did you know that the recording industry can search yoru hard drive without a search warrant? Or that stores are being raided for carrying Authorized DJ mixes. (Set during the first part)
Syr shut her book and looked up from her study. SHe had heard footsteps in the direction of Master Par-Salian's room. Her curiostiy piqued, she closed the spellbook and opened the door of her room just a bit, to catch a flare of black. A black robe, for that matter. His hurried pace gave her the impresion whatever it was, it was important. Well, going to see Par-Salian for ANY reason must have been important for the mage to accept him or her. She wondered vaguely who it was, but shrugged it off. Chances are, she'd know soon enough.

SHe turned back to her spellbook and continued studying.

Almost twenty minutes later there had been no word or footsteps from her master's study. Whatever that black robe had to say, it was important.

(five years later)

Syr signed to herself, leaning her golden-haired head against the back of the high backed chair. It had been a long day. The worse part was, there were always nasty suprises in long days. she wondered what the nasty suprise would be today. (http://www.deviantart.com/view/3653881/)

OOC: Acctually, I would assume so. I'll have to research it a bit more.. but for the moment lets play it as she has been cast out. That is, if its alright with sly.. :)

IC: Kari passed into the section of the tower that housed the white robes. Nothing made her more angry than encountering those of her own race in the "Good" graces of Paladine. If he had cared so much, why would he allow a race to cast its own people out?
She sighed again, thinking of how hard her mission would be. To see him after so long.. She thought it might be more than a little strange.
Kari decided to take a detour to the library, to find something she could ask him a question about. Albeit he would see right through it in a heart beat. Shrugging she picked up an anatomy book and found the chapter she had been looking for.
"This could turn into something interesting." She smiled.
Turning she headed toward her targets room. Stopping, she scratched on the door, not wanting to make to much of a disturbance.

OOC: Princess.. I was thinking maybe this couldbe Syr's room instead of Zod's. Maybe cause a little trouble :)Did you know that the recording industry can search yoru hard drive without a search warrant? Or that stores are being raided for carrying Authorized DJ mixes. The knock on her door made her spill the ink and ruin the spell scroll she was working on, a complicated little thing called an icestorm. SHe swore, and then stood up and cleaned up her mess.

"By E'li, who is it?" She asked paitently, opening the door.

An elf.

A Kagonesti elf.

A black robed Kagonesti elf.

Her lip curled in a sneer, "Is there something you'd like, dark elf?" She asked, a smirk just hiding on her lips, "I don't think I have anything dark enough for your robes nor your kind. What is so important?"(http://www.deviantart.com/view/3653881/)

Zod had been very careful to try and keep to himself these past five years. The visions had still been comming, but Zod was not really willing to think about those now. The visions were something he could fester over later, but at the moment Zod was occupied by thoughts of his most recent days.

Zod's transition from black robes to white was not an easy one. It had taken nearly three years of retraining in just customes alone, and Zod had nearly had to retake his test. Zod was mistrusted by black robes for his betrayal, and mistrusted by white robes due to his past. This lead to Zond being mostly alone these past years, as no one wanted to consort with him and risk becoming a part of the complicated mess.

Zod had just two months prior completed his retraining, and now wore his white robes, well not now exactly, as he had just awoken and it was early morning, but he was moments way from dawning them.

"Nor would my robes want the taint of your tone on them. I merly made a wrong turn, and if you weren't so busy being so snooty and aloof, You'd see i was leaving.: She spun, her robes a flowering dance of velvet.
Stopping for a moment she turned back. "It seems I've forgotten my manners. Have a good day, M'lady." The last words were dripping with hateful venom.
Walking down the hall she stopped at the next door she prayed would be Zod's.
She scratched lightly, and put on her brightest smile "Master Zod?" She called. "Are you available? It's Kari.. Kari gently pushed the door open to the brand new white robes' quarters. She wasn't all that impressed with what she saw, but she pretended to be.

"Zod! How have you been?" She exclaimed happily. "It's been so long, and I just heard that you had finally become a white robe. How's it feel? Is the calling any stronger?" She smirked after saying that. She had always found nuitari appealing. Not because of the power, but because of the advancement the black robes offered. Nuitari had come to her in a dream once, when she was young. She knew then that that was what she was suppost to do.

It felt good to Zod to have some kind of human connection again. After all, he had been alone for the most part for over five years now, and even a former student was a breath of fresh air. After all, Zod had needed someone to talk too.

"Zod! How have you been?" She exclaimed happily. "It's been so long, and I just heard that you had finally become a white robe. How's it feel? Is the calling any stronger?"

"I've been all right. Just getting by I assume. I wouldnt say that the call is any stronger then my former was, but quite different. I feel as though before I was standing at a cliff overlooking a great black morass, and now I feel as if I have looked beyond it and seen a sparkling marsh" Zod said.

"So, how have you been? I assume that you passed your test since the last time I had seen you?" Zod asked. He was still a bit sleepy, and due to that he did not realize that the girl was holding something behind her back."No matter how dark the night is, morning always comes..." -Lulu, FFX

(OOC: Sorry about not posting. My home computer is mean to me some times. So I have a harder time posting during weekends and holidays.)

Joshua had made it to his room without incident. He sat down to leaf through the book eagerly. It was hard being a wizard who had just passed his test. It meant that even though he was privy to more secrets, he had yet to earn the right to really big ones.

This normally wouldn't have been a problem for Joshua. But, his interest lay in making non-living objects move and act. Something which required more skill and power then the spells he was allowed to learn at this point.

He was hoping the book he was leafing through would eventually allow him to move a golem.

She handed him the book, hoping he wouldn't see through the obvious basicness of the spell and begin to suspect something.

Joshua had finshed reading the book and had decided to sneak it back to the place he stole it from before he got caught. He was passing an open door trying to be obscure, but he could hear what sounded like an arguement.

He looked to see a white robed human, a white robed elf and a black robed elf. He could obviously see that they were about to get into a fight.
