OOC: I've spent all my weekend at home so I've had lots of time to think about a new story ;) Everyone is welcome to join with their "normal" mortal characters.
The text is a little long, because I wanted to give a good picture of the situation. Hope you don't fall asleep :D

BIC:
Alendel was born and raised in a family of solamnic knights in Solanthus. She had never felt at home there and had never really loved her family, finding the whole "my honor is my life" thing stupid. Her family, in return, thought she was arrogant and spoiled.

One day she met a young mage of the black robes. He had ventured to Solamnia in order to study the land and find old old magical artefacts. She was attracted by him straight away because he was intelligent and so very different from all the other people she knew, but also because the knights mistrusted all mages and did not approve of such a connection. The black robed mage, Vilan, settled down in a small house outside town and they became lovers.

One night Alendel had to meet Vilan at his place, but when she got there she found the house empty. She searched every corner, but she found nothing. All his personal effects were gone. She believed at first that he had left without saying a word, but then she noticed traces of blood in the bedroom. She searched for further signs outside the house but without any luck. Tired, angry and worried she went back home.

Someone had harmed her love, she was sure about it. Her family must somehow be involved. The expression in the eyes of her father upon her return just steadied her belief.
"I guess you are old enough to get engaged, my dear. Sir Bartel will come for dinner tomorrow. Try to be nice to him" He said.

She didn't answer, her rage almost overwhelmed her, but she managed to control it. She left the house in the night going in search of Vilan. Was he dead or alive? If he was dead, she would get revenge.

First she tried to reach the tower of high sorcery in the forest of Wayreth thinking that the mages must know if one of their kind was dead or alive, but she couldn't find the forest, or better the forest didn't wish to find her.
So she kept moving from village to village asking people if they had seen Vilan or heard of him.

Alendel was tired. She had been walking all day. Well, she felt as if she had been walking all her life. Actually she hadn't done much else in the past two years. She was still searching for her lost love. She wondered how she had managed to stay alive so long. The roads were getting more and more dangerous, but she had learnt to melt with the shadows and to walk almost as swiftly and silently as an elf.

She had no special skills, but she was a good surviver. She carried a bow and a dagger, btu she had used the bow only to hunt small animals for her meals, while the dagger made her feel safe, even if she wasn't sure about how to use of if she was able to use it at all.

Pushing herself a little more she reached a small village.
"I haven't slept in a bed for a while, that would do a nice change though. I need a short break" she thought entering the villange and looking for the inn. She found it quite easily. It was small, but warm and clean. She sighed in pleasure and went to the innkeeper to pay for a room, a glass of wine and a bowl of stew, then she found a seat at a table close to the fireplace.

When the waitress came with her food, she looked at her and asked:
"Do you know a black robed wizard called Vilan? He is in his late twenties, has long black hair and blue eyes and he's quite tall and very slim."

The waitress seemed to be thinking about it, as if she wasn't completely sure whether she had to say something or not, then she made her mind and answered:
"Well, there's a dark mage living in a big scary house just outside the village, but I don't know if it's the one you are looking for. You see, I've never seen his face and he doesn't come here very often. He usually sends one of his apprentices, if he needs something. And thanks the gods for that!"

Alendel thanked her and started eating the stew thinking about the information she had collected.

OOC: Ok, I don't know if Vilan is dead or alive. He could have left without a word for some reason, he could have been paid to leave, he could have been wounded, killed, taken prisoner or even transformed into a monster! This is up to you. And I don't know if the dark mage the waitress talked about is Vilan or not. If he's not, he can help Alendel, use her for his experiments or whatever.
By the way someone could have listened to the conversation and come to Alendel with info or warnings.
And this is happening just before the war of the lance.

OOC2: Alendel is 23, not very tall, but slender, with red hair down to her waist and green eyes. She always wears black clothes. (One of the few goths of Krynn :D)

Marko stepped into the inn. He was a human with short brown hair. He wore a wide brimmed leather hat and had a beard reaching up to his sideburns and a mustache, both the same color as his hair. He wore a white, button down collared shirt under a leather vest. Marko wore green pants that were made of a very light linen material. His black belt helf his machete. A large scar ran down his right cheek, making his right eye a bit squinted.

Marko stepped up to the bar and ordered a pint of ale. He lit a pipe and began to smoke, sitting on a stool and relaxing. He just got back with a goblin hunting party. They started at Solace and wound up in this small town. The group decided to rest for the night and continue their hunt in the morning.

Marko gulped down his ale. He liked to drink almost as much as he liked to fight. Markos attention went to a women talking about a black robed mage. After Markos fourth drink, he went over to the women, driven by the alchohol in his brain.

"Hello there darling, the names Marko. What would a girl like yourself be doin looking for a black robed mage?" Marko asked in his gruff voice, plopping himself into a chair across from Alendel.

Alendel's eyes narrowed as she looked at Marko in disgust. She was going to give me a very unpolite answer, but then she controlled the urge in case the man had some useful information.
"I don''t think you should mind about that, unless you know something about him"

"Well, you see. Me and my goblin huntin boys have come here all the way from Solace. I've seen a handful of mages on the way, could have been the one your lookin for. Tomorrow morning we are setting off and heading back to Solace. If you'd like to travel with us, your more than welcome. This way, you have more protection, and you can look for your mage friend. We'll give you your privacy and everything. How does that sound?" Marko asked, with a generous look in his eyes.So let's get to the point, let's roll another joint

That wasn't exactly the answer Alendel had expected from the strange man. She looked at him trying to see into his soul. Was he to be trusted? Or was he just playing with her?

She sighed. She had been wandering alone for so long that the thought of travelling with some other people for a while was tempting. But then she couldn't leave without making sure that the dark mage of the village was not Vilan.
"I thank you for your offer, but I'm not sure I can come with you. I have to pay a visit to the black robe the waitress has told me about. I won't go anywhere until I've done that"

IC: Layana was tired, and hungry. And she was afraid. As afraid as she could be. On the verge of insanity, every shadow was someone trying to take her back to the hell that had been her life. She was alone, and afraid. She didn't know how to fight, and all she had was a little money. She saw a inn and entered. She was noticed instantly. Her dark hair was plastered to her face with sweating fear. Her gauzy dress showed off enough that she was greeted by many catcalls. She shivered and went up to the innkeep. "You..give me...room?Heres bronze."She gave him some branze, and got some hot potatoes. She looked for a place and spotted a seat next to an intimidating man and a woman. She sat down and drew her cloak tightly around herself. She began to devour her potatoes, hot and wonderful. They weren't as good as the delicacies she had lived off. But to her, those delicacies were poison. And her life had mae her a prisoner in a cage of gold. But she had broken the cage, and now she was free. "Alright then, just trying to be nice, thats all." Marko said.

A stout brown bearded dwarf barged through the door. He was panting and looking around. His eyes fixed on Marko and the dwarf jogged over.

"Marko, we've got goblins at the edge of town! Me and the boys are out there right now, come on!" The dwarf urged, wiping sweat from his forehead.

"Easy Rodax, Im comin." Marko replied. He turned to Alendel. "So long for now." Marko said with a smile and a nod, then he followed the dwarf out the door.

Marko and Rodax were outside and jogging towards five men dressed in leather armor. One man handed Marko a vest of leather armor.

"Bless you Forin." Marko said greatfully as he buckled on the armor. He took out his machete from his belt. "So where is the pack?" Marko asked. The man named Forin stepped forward, he had long blond hair.

"They are coming down the path leading to town, they should be here any minute!" Forin spoke rapidly.

"Whats the count?" Marko asked.

"Zen said he saw a good dozen, armed with bows and curved swords, the usual. One or two had simple armor, but we have faced worse sir." Forin replied. The other men were helping one of the men stand. He was bald and had a long beard.

"They bloody shot me Marko!" The man roared in fury.

"You will get your revenge Zen. Lets go boys." Marko ordered. The seven were marching through town towards the path where the goblins were spotted. The goblins were just coming through the town. They stopped and stood in a line. Marko counted thirteen. He stopped his men, twenty yards away from the goblins. The two groups just stood and stared at each other, weapons drawn. The silence was broken as a goblin, what seemed to be the leader, hissed and barked at the others. They rushed towards Marko and his men. Marko and his men charged forward as well, shouting their war cries.

Marko quickly sliced at ones neck then swung it back up to block a curved sword. He then punched the goblin and sliced at its back. Marko thrust his machete into a rushing goblin then turned to another goblin and threw the dead one on his machete at it. Markos men were doing their thing. Rodax chopped off the head of one, causing everyone to get covered in black blood. Forin hacked at two goblins with his hatchet.

Marko chopped a goblins bow in half just as he was about to shoot Zen. With a quick slash, Marko slit the goblins neck, causing it to collapse to the floor. The group had killed them all, and were generally unharmed. They stood in a pool of black blood.

"That was easy." Marko said. The men laughed together.

"A bit odd for a pack of goblins like this to attack a town dont you think. A bit too odd." Marko whispered to himelf, more then the others.

"Well, lets go celebrate another victory at the tavern!" Rodax roared with joy. The five men and the dwarf ran through the streets cheering. They ran into the tavern and began ordering drinks.

Marko laughed to himself. He had stayed outside at the battle scene. He was getting really suspicious. Marko darted his gaze to the woods at the sound of a twig snapping, breaking the silence. Marko saw a dark figure dashing away deeper into the woods. Marko chased him for a while, shouting for him to stop. Marko gained on the man and jumped onto his back, bringing him down. Marko felt a shock go through his body and he flew off the man. The man stood up. In the moonlight Marko saw it was a man dressed in black robes with runes on it. The man chanted a spell and vanished from the area. Marko got up and saw a large spire jutting out from the tree line. He couldn’t go there now. This mage was powerful.

Marko made his way back to town. He was in pain from the spell that the mage shocked him with. By the time he was at the tavern door, he was better. He stepped in and all his friends cheered to him and drank their mugs. Marko put on a fake smile and took a mug of ale. He walked over to the table where Alendel and another women sat. He sat himself in the seat he sat in before.

“I saw a mage! He was in the woods. I chased him and brought him down. He cast a couple of spells and got away. I think he’s responsible for the goblin attack and I think it’s the goblin the barmaid told you about. While i was there I saw a tall dark spire over the tree line. I assume thats where this mage lives.” Marko whispered to Alendel, not wanting to get everyone in town riled up or worried.

“I will take you to where I saw the spire if you would like.” Marko offered the Alendel.

Alendel looked at Marko. Her eyes brighter, her heart beating faster.
"Would you really do that? That's very nice of you! But please tell me, how does does this mage look like? My Vilan is handsome with long black hair... "she stopped in the middle of the sentence and shook her head "That was two years ago, I guess he could have changed... "

Then she remember something else Marko had said.
"Why do you believe he was behind the goblin attack? Why would he attack the village?!? That's odd"

"Well, I couldnt see his face too well. It was covered with a hood. But in the moonlight I saw that the robes must be black, since I saw no hint of any other color, except for the ruins marking the sleeves." Marko explained.

"First of all, I've been hunting goblins for seven years now. I know the kind of goblins we fought today, they were nothing special. The school children could have gotten rid of them. When we saw them, it was as if they were waiting for us. These goblins would have never attacked a town by choice. These goblins were path roamers, they would never do such a thing. They were either crazy, or...enchanted." Marko said, narrowing his eyes and emphasizing the last word.

"That, on top of the fact that this black robed mage was watching from the bushes. Im just confused about why he didnt help fight us. He was powerful enough to have killed me and my men. He gave me a minor shock and then let me live, as if he wanted me to come back here and tell you." Marko said outloud, but looking out into empty space. He turned back to Alendel.

"But how could he have known that I had met you already? He must have enchanted the goblins, sent them here so me and my men would come fight them. He stepped on the twig on purpose so I would see him!" Marko said in confusion and slight fear, solving the puzzle. He looked around the tavern at all of the customers, suspicious of many gloomy figures sitting alone.

"I think we should investigate. This could be your man, and he wants you to find him." Marko said to Alendel.

"Ill take one of my men. He's trustworthy and loyal, and best of all, he wont ask any questions." Marko explained. "I'll go get him and bring him over."

Marko got up and walked over to the bar. He tapped a big man with leather armor on the shoulder. Marko whispered into his ear and they walked back to the table.

"Alendel, this is Glin." Marko said introducing the man. He was a good 6"5 and weighed in around 270 pounds. Glin carried a large mace in his hand.

"Pleased to meet you, Alendel." Glin said with a very uncharming smile, showing his missing teeth. He had long brown hair and a large dirty beard. His leather armor was coated with dry black marks from all the goblins he had smashed. The man did not have a round belly, but more of a thick muscular shape.

"So, shall we be off now?" Marko asked Alendel. So let's get to the point, let's roll another joint

Alendel had listened carefully to Marko's answer. She was overwhelmed by different emotions, a mix of fear and expectation. She felt warm and cold at the same time, her face deadly pale, her eyes feverish.
Shivering almost incontrollably she took a sip of her wine, spilling most of it.
She didn't even notice.

She nodded to Glin and said in a whisper:
"Show the way. I will follow"

OOC: Cool that you wanna join! Well, I don't know if Queshu has something in mind about the mage, but you could play one of his apprentices or maybe someone who is in the inn and has listened to our conversation and decide to follow us (he/she can just be curious or can be sent by the mage to keep an eye on us). You could also be one of Marko's hunting partners. Or someone kept prisoner by the mage.

QueshuWarrior
09/02/2003 4:19 PM

OOC: Yeah I was thinking a prisoner would be good. And honestly Cheri, I dont have a plan. I think you should decide if the mage is the person your looking for. I was thinking if it is, he can tell us about a problem he has, example: another mage threatening to destroy him, and thats why he had to leave. If its not the guy your looking for, we can make it a mage who has connections and can help us find your mage. Heck PoD, you could play the mage!

BIC: Marko and Alendel walked outside, Glin following shortly. Marko led the way, Alendel came up close behind, and Glin guarded the back. Marko had always said Glin was the best protector; he never asked questions, he was as strong as an ox, and as quiet as one.

Marko walked through the tree line and found the patted down grass and bushes he had trampled minutes ago. They came up to the clearing where Marko had tackled the mage, seeing a large indent in the flow of grass. Marko touched Alendel on the shoulder to get her attention and pointed up to the tree line, showing her the spire. It was black as night and was would have been impossible to see if it wasnt for the full moon. Marko continued through the dark forest, in the direction of the spire.

OOC: Princess, it would be perfect if you could be the mage and then you can decide if you want to be Vilan (he can have changed name) or not.
If not, I'll think of something.

BIC: Alendel followed in silence sending a prayer to the long gone gods.
Dear gods, if you are here... somewhere... please, let him be Vilan. I'm so tired of this neverending wandering...

Her companions stopped and she noticed that they were now standing before the house of the mage. It was big and it looked like a fortress, with iron bars at the window and a very massive door. The head of a dragon prouded the door, surrounded by runes and other strange symbols.
Alendel could understand why the waitress considered it scary. You could feel a darkness so deep that it touched your soul. But she had spent time in Vilan's place outside Solanthus and there had been the same darkness. She wasn't afraid of it, darkness didn't necessarely mean evil as most people thought.

She gave a short nod to Marko and Glin, took a deep breath, gathered all her courage and knocked. Nothing happened for a while, then the door swung open. The inside was dark and not even the feeble light of a candle allowed to see who or what awaited inside. Alendel felt the hair on the back her neck raise, but she pushed her fear away and walked inside.

Marko quickly shot his hand out and held back Alendel by the shoudler.

"Alendel. Let Glin take the front. Ill stay behind you." Marko whispered to Alendel who had entered the fortress. The three entered, Glin walking in front of the two. He pat his mace in his other hand, waiting for trouble.

Marko was crouching and creeping around the shadows. The room they were in was the typical lobby. There were 2 sets of stairs shown from the moonlight leading to a second floor.

"It is not wise to alarm a mage, perhaps we shall let him know we are here. He will recognize my voice, perhaps we would sound less threatening if you called for help. Act lost or something." OOC: Sorryabout my extended absense from this thread, I was busing with Tassana's home, Fernwood, and Ancient. And because I have abilities to handle two or three characters, I shall introduce both the mage and a servant.. ^_^ No one minds if I name the villian Tobias? We'll call him Vilan as an alias.... and lesse....our servant shall be River...

Also, where are your characters? I'm not exactly sure. THey're in teh fortress, correct? Talking to a guy in black robes? I'm sorry if i make a mistake in this post abotu where you are because I had to read most of the thread and I'm not sure i kept decent track of where and who.

On a side note, I've bitten your head off TWICE already Angel. DO I NEED TO AGAIN?! I am very good at biting peoples' heads off, and if nessacery i will DO IT AGAIN.

BIC~

Tobias looked through a crystal globe, glaring at the group. Those stupid adventures, how typical. Always walking through his foretress, seeking treasure or both, or his head. The bounties were put on his alias, Vilan, so few new he was really the same person. He had changed throughout the ages, his black hair now stark white, a strange contrast to his flowing ebony robes, runes embroidered into them and constantly moving around his garment.

He sensed somethign familiar about the woman. He wasn't exactly sure what it was, but most parties that ventured here did not have females. Perhaps there was something different about this. Perhaps he should warn them with his only mortal servant, and his most trusted as well.

River....... He whispered, his voice carried in the walls, of his magical chamber.

Almost immediatly, through the small ruts carved into the floor, small pieces of energy began to collect, until they grew upwards to reveal an elf in tatered clothes, that appeared to be in prime condition and looked almost perfectly healthy.

"Master...." He whispered, on one knee.

"Go find the warriors in my castle and warn them away. And wear something more suitable."

In the chasm in the middle of the room, where the ruts ended, came a set of clothes, an a black-robed-mage-style outfit. River stepped into the chasm, and floated over the endless hole. The attire somehow adhered to him, and he walked over the empty space and onto the solid as if there was no difference. He placed one hand on the rune on the door, and it melted away into the rest of his master's castle.

River's life hadbeen an easy one. He had an unnatural lust for power and an instinctive knowledge of who had it, not too mention he was a great suck-up. Hehad to come this castle quite some time ago, pledging himself to Tobias. The mage was not too bad a master, for that matter. He did not amuse himself by beating his servants, nor did he try and make River do anything impossible. His master was a practical man, which was odd for a mage.

The wierest thing about Tobias was the name change that he'd given River. River couldn't even remember what his name had been, something Silvanesti Elvish.....but he couldn't remember or grasp it at all.

Regardless of such, he had his master's orders. He looked down at the group from a staircase, "Greetings, adventurers."

EDIT: OOC - I forgot one thing. The mage should be kind of expecting us. He let Marko see him during the Goblin attack and didn't even kill him when Marko tried to stop him. Marko believes he was behind the attack.

OOC: There was a good change the person Marko saw was acutally River, not Vilan. ^_^ Oh, an did the mage tell him his name, Quesh? I sure hope not, and if so, I hope it he said his name was River. ^_^

"There is no reason to apologize," River strolled downthe staircase and looked at the three of them, "You are the same man I saw not too long ago. Did you say your name? I am called River."

He bowed to the group, "It is a pleasure to meet you, milady," He kissed her hand dantily, "No, I know nothing of a wizard named Vilan. The only people here are myself and it's other occupant, named Tobias. I am sorry I can not help you."(http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

Alendel lowered her gaze feeling stupid and disappointed. She had allowed herself to hope she had found Vilan and now it was so hard to accept the truth and see her dream be shattered once again.

She had a strange feeling about this River. She didn't like him at all, she was sure he was dangerous. But she had to ask one more question before leaving.
"Well, thanks anyway. But what about this Tobias? Can I ask him the same question? Maybe he knows him."

OOC: No, the mage didn't tell Marko his name, but he cast a spell on him. But I guess River could have learnt some spells from his master.

OOC: River is a slick bastard. Yes, he does know a bit of magic.

"YOu may if he wishes to be so." He pulled out a small piece of parchment and scribbled on it, then dropped it in the ever present floor rut. It dissapeared, and several seconds later reformed. River picked it up and read it, "He will see you. Come with me."

He lead them up stairs and through corridors. It was easy to see why this was also called a crypt-- it had taken River years to learn his way around. So many twists and turns, passages and tunnels. And a rut. Always a rut, that ever present ditch in the floor through every passageway, branching off in every direction. After about 15 minutes of walking, they reached a door with a single rune on it. With a wave of River's hand, the door dissolved, to see Tobias looking out a window. He turned at River's entrance, and bowed.

"Greetings." When he stood up, he noticed her. Alendel.......this was impossible.

But age had taken his toll and magic had taken his toll on him, and he was no longer Vilan. His black hair had gone stark white, and deep bags had set under his eyes.

"Ah, you are the only that River was with earlier, are you not?" Tobias said to Marko, "A pleasure to meet you in person, but I am afraid I don't know you," He kissed Alendel's hand, "but it is a honor to meet such a gorgeous lady." Alendel blushed a little embarassed not understanding if the mage was mocking her or just being polite.
The touch of his lips was cold as ice and at the same time she felt like her hand was burning. She shivered feeling a chill of fear inside her.
She couldn't really see his face hidden in the shadows as it was, but she felt he was observing, studying her.

She took a deep breath and said:
"Sir mage, I've been looking for a black robed wizard for two years. His name's Vilan and I was wondering if you know him or have heard of him. I.. I don't know if he's dead or not, he just disappeared one day and... I won't find peace until I find out what's happened to him. Can you help me?"

Marko nodded to the mage in silent greeting. Glin growled and pat his mace in his palm with growing anxiety.

"Steady ox!" Marko whispered harshly to the big man. The man bent over and whispered into Markos ear.

"But Marko, you said this was the guy who sent the goblins to attack the town." Glin said, too loudly. Marko looked at the mage nervously, seeing he had heard Glin. Marko saw Glin leap forward. Marko threw his hand out to stop him, but it was too late. Glin was charging towards the mage and roaring.

"Glin, freeze!" Marko shouted, but the big man was lost in his own world. Glin was now before the mage and his mace was in mid-swing.So let's get to the point, let's roll another joint

River was rooted on the spot, but Tobias was faster and pulled them back unto the empty space above the chasm. The mace clanged loudly upon the inside of the stone abyss. The black robe looked at big fellow and snickered, "Let me tell you a little something about this room, my friend. This chasm only I and River can step upon. Those ruts in the floor that lie all through the fortress? They stop here. I can get whatever I want, within reason, from this chasm and those ruts. Calm your friends' temper," He looked at Marko, "Or you may no longer have a friend."

River smiled at Alendel, "It is a pleasure to meet you, miss," He said with a grin and a slight flush appearing on his elven cheeks.

Tobias tore his gaze from Marko and then set it back on Alendel. He hadn't seen her for such a long time...it iwas impossible! She couldn't still be alive! Her face still radiated beauty, while his was deepset. And too be honest, he didn't love her anymore. She was another person, indeed, but no longer his love.

"You asked about the one called Vilan? He occupies this tower with me, I shall search out for him."

He whispered somethign and fell into the chasm.

Two minutes later, a black-haired, blue-eyed black robe stepped through the door. He was fairly muscular, with only a hint of age. His face was taunt from studying, but he looked fairly impressive. Overall, he looked little like the man who was just here.

BIC: Alendel watched in horror while Glin tried to attack the wizard, but she sighed in relief seeing that the mage didn't intend to hurt the big man.
She sent Marko a silent prayer, hoping that he could stop Glin from trying some other inconsiderate action.

"You asked about the one called Vilan? He occupies this tower with me, I shall search out for him."

She was now very confused. The man called River had told her that the only people living in that place were himself and Tobias... Something was wrong. But she didn't have time to think more about it because Vilan suddenly entered the room. Her eyes widened in joy and amazement... It was him... Her lost love. He was alive! She wanted to step closer and gently touch his face to make sure that he was real, but she couldn't move. Something hold her back and she could do nothing but stare at him whispering:
"Vilan... is that really you?"

Marko jumped forward and pulled Glin back, who was not fighting him off too much. Marko silenced Glin and calmed the big man. Marko picked the mace from the floor.

"I apologize for Glins actions. He doesnt like men who send goblins to attack towns too much." Marko said with obvious sarcasm. Tobius left and in came the famous Vilan.

"So, Vilan. Is this all some plot to get Alendel here? Because I can assure you, next time you or your master threaten the lives of innocents, I will cut you down." Marko said with intensity. He then smiled and stretched out his hand.

He shook Marko's hand, "I should be anyway. Though the mage may be very powerful, he gets slightly tempermental. Alendel felt the tears sting in her eyes.
"What is it that you are saying, Vilan? Was it your own choice to leave like that without a word? I thought that you had been injured or killed. I found blood in your house..."

She felt suddenly so stupid and angry for having wasted two years of her life looking for a man that probably had never cared for her at all.

"Why don't you just tell the truth, Vilan? Maybe you were not that powerful two years ago, but I'm sure you could have sent me a message to let me know that you were alright, if you had wished so."

Then she turned to Marko and sadly said:

River gave Vilan a bottle of wine, which he inspected, "Ah, good. This is Silverstream, a type of elven wine. DId you provide this for your master, River?"

Scarlet Umeccko wasnt really sure why she had come to this area. The young samurai wasnt really sure by what reasons she would have had to come here, but she found that she did. Be that fate or some strange game her mind played on her was completely lost to her. Not that it really mattered anyways. She was here and she would have to be here for a while, as she couldnt get a ride out anytime soon. Scarlate was tired. She had been walking for so very long now and it tested the limits of even her extremely well traned body. I mean, whould wouldnt be tired, she had walked all the way from Palanthas alone!

Scarlate walked now in the wilderness that according to her map was very close to a smal village. However, she also noted that the map also stated there was the fortress of a powerful Black mage as well within the vacinity. Not that the young Samurai feared magicks, as that was why she carried her blade. Silverbard.

Silverbard was so well crafted that it seemed more life a stunning peice of art at first glance rather then the most deadly weapon to ever be used over the land of Krynn. The thing was, both were true. The blade was of traditional Samurai desing, and was made of a bright Silver Mythral of the elvish veriaty. The blade had an aura of power about it and seemed to glow silver, though not really. It was mostly the light of the moons refelcting off the shiny surface of the blade that gave it it's glow. The blade was sturdy and powerful, but also very light and can be used at lightning speed. However, what really made it excellent, (as in even more perfect) was that the blade was enchanted. The blade had the power to break any kind of spell, or enchantment, which had protected Scarlate several times in her journeys from the dangers of magick. It was crafted perfactly, and was the perfect weapon of the lightning fast Order of Samurai Warriors. Though the blade was used by all of that Order, it was by no means standard. It was quite possibly the finest class of weapons on Krynn, not only for its powers, but it also workered perfectly for all of the special Samurai skills.

As Scarlate walked through the grassy meddows, she ran a hand through her sholderlength, well kept hair. Her black eyes focused on the dark tower before her and she fumbled with her hair and she smiled. Perhaps her stay wouldnt be as boring as she thought? With Silverbard at her back within it's sheath, she powered on toward the tower. In tribute to an old friend:

Alendel was growing uncomfortable and it didn't seem like Vilan was going to answer any of her questions.
"Well, while you think about what to tell me, Vilan, I'll go for a walk. I need some fresh air. Marko, Glin, you are welcome to come with me"

She left the room and went down the stairs and out of the fortress.
The nightsky was clear and the breeze cool. She felt immediately better and took a deep breath enjoining the smell of the night.

She saw a blackhaired girl approaching.
I wonder who she is and what brings her to the fortress. But I guess I'll find out soon. I'm curious

(OOC: I wont make comment on the mistake you made Rach :) )

Scarlet smiled when she saw people exit the tower. It was possible that they were spellcasters, for if they lived in such a great tower then they would have to have been. Spellcasters always left the need to live in big attention grabbing structures, much like the gigantic fortress before her. Scarlate smiled at the arrogance of the tipical magick user. The look on their faces when they tried to caste a spell on her was the best. To find that it had no effect because of the sword she carried must have been very annoying to all the magick user's Scarlate had faught.

Scarlate knew that she had been spotted before she even saw the young girl look at her from the base of the tower. It was impossible to not see her, as there was still some light out and she was not really trying to hide. Plus, the glow from the small portion of the blade that was not covered by sheath didnt help either. Scarlate continued on untill she was face to face with the girl who had seen her.
