OOC: Ok, I was bored. And I thought this would be a cool idea. I used to rp in Yahoo and this was my fav place to rp at. Tassana's home that is. Basically, it is the home of the kendermaid. Everyone is welcomed and can come and go as they please. It's like a rest place. Kinda like an inn, only you don't have to pay an arm and a leg to rest your head. (Too gruesome!) Anyhoo, lets see how this works.

The only rules I have is to try and keep it civil. After all, you're basically going into someone's home.

BIC: The layout of the grounds was marvelous. A beautiful marble waterfountain lay in the middle of the heavily flowered gardens. Marble benches sat in front of marble statues of gods, goddesses, and various races, including, humans, elves, dwarves, and kender. Greenery and flowers of every shade lit the place and filled it with warmth. A reddish brick path curved around both sides of the waterfountain.

The waterfountain was about 8ft in diameter. In the center of the fountain were three marble statues. One statue was white marble and looked like Solinari reading a book while leaning against a tree. He was in deep concentration and not willing to be disturbed. Sitting next to Solinari and dipping her feet into the water, was the goddess Lunitari is stunning red marble. She seemed liable to come to life and jump into the water. A soft smile played on her lips. Standing next to her and giving the water in magical ways, was Nuitari in ebony marble. His eyes were cold and hungry for the magic he was producing. Even though that magic gave only the water fountain life.

The red brick path embraced the water fountain lovingly and led up to the house. The house was made from a living vallenwood. Quartz stair led to the entrance on the lowest branch. The door had the image of a kender male curved into it's wooden face. The doorknob was made of copper. Upon entrance, the first thing one would notice is the feeling of the welcoming fire. The fireplace stood off to the right. Cushions of all colours, sizes, and comfort littered the floor before the fireplace. A table seemed to grow from the very floorboards of the little room. The chairs as well seemed to grow from the floorboards. Each chair was the same height and evenly spaced around the table.

Portraits of various people hung on the walls. Each picture had a name. Brightsky; Tinsel and Coby; Airiana, Matthaiss, and Calista; Selina and Saegle Darktime; Afyon; Tiger Curlknot; Gail Silver and Darrel Blackguard; Nakira; Timesplit; Minoa and Krystal; Garthalas Kalinayas; Shivren; Callia Silvermoon; Calyrin Silvermoon; Conrad Darho; and so on. But the largest portrait hung above the mantle.

Was it an elf? A half elf perhaps? She had long auburn brown hair that seemed to be dipped in honey. Liquid brown eyes smiled warmly as well as full pinkish lips. Her skin was a light flesh colour. Her cheeks were slighly rosy. Around her neck she wore a necklace that held three different coloured roses. White, red, and black. Not much else could be shown. Indeed, the portrait did not go passed the top of the bosom. But she was no elf. Nor half-elf for that matter. She was a kender.

On the left from the entrance door was another staircase. This one had black velvet carpet. The railing was white with red bars. Indeed, those three colours seemed to dominate the whole house. A slight aura of magic filled the room and a kender materialized into the center of the room. This kender was the very kender who's portrait hung above the mantle.

She carried herself in an elvish fashion. She wore elvish clothes, in the three colours that dominated the home. Her tunic was red with white billowy arms. She wore black breeches. Her hair hung long and down, as if she didn't care to put it up. It was layered and barely brushed the top of her buttocks. Her eyes held the same welcoming warmth as did the fire and the portrait. Her smile was passionfilled. She walked to the fire with elvish grace and spoke perfect Qualinesti, "Welcome to my home. I am Tassana Burrfoot. You are invited to make yourself comfortable. Should you need a place to rest, there are rooms up there." She pointed to the staircase.

OOC: First poster is first welcomed. Also, to all Fernwood villagers, this thread takes place 30 years after Tassana left Fernwood. No one has seen her since.

OOC: Before I post.. I must say, wonderfully descriptive post. I like it! :P

BIC: Airiana looked around at the beautiful house and all its furnishings. She smiled when she saw her own portait along with those of her daughter and lifemate. Then she saw Tassana.

"Tassana, my dear!" She exclaimed softly as she went over to hug the kender. "Thy home is like none I have ever seen. Such beauty!" She exclaimed in Qualinesti, just as perfectly as Tassana, though she looked to be a Silvanesti elf by all rights.

Her hair way long and the deepest black you could imagine. It waved lazily down her back and cascaded around her arms. She had a deep tan and large, almond-shaped silver eyes. She wore a shimmering silver dress that seemed to be neither loose nor tight, but somewhere inbetween. It had a lazy colar that made it look as if much more material was used than was needed. The dress was long and almost brushed the black, leather boots that adorned the woman's feet. The boots were high-cut, almost reaching her knees, and had a high, thick heel on them.

OOC: Thanks. I'm planning on being a writer some day. Think I got a chance?

BIC: It took the kender a moment to recognize the elven woman before her. Then the kender's eyes filled with tears. "Airiana, how good it is to see you as well," she responded, still speaking the Qualinesti tongue. "Thank you so much for the compliment. It has been a long time. Please, have a seat and tell me how you've been. How are your lifemate and child?"

The kender led the dragon to the fireplace and made a spot for her to sit on some of the cushions. The kender then started making a spot for herself and proceeded to sit down.

Airiana smiled at her kender friend as she was led to the fireplace. She sat down on the luxurious cushions and smiled a smile of thanks. "I have been wonderful, as have Matthiass and Calista. How is thy son, Saegle? Full-grown yet?" She asked smiling only half in jest, the boy had grown from birth to teenager in the span of a few days. But, such is what happens with demigods, she thought.

Race: Female Kagonesti Elf
Age: 126 years old
Eye Colour: Emerald Green
Hair Color: Jet-Black, Long, Straight
Family Origin: Silvanesti
Alignment: Neutral Good
Rank: Red Robe Mage of Lunitari

BIC: Selina sat in a rocking chair by the fireplace. Alisha had fallen asleep an hour ago, but Selina was still wary of moving in case she woke the little girl. Looking down at the sleeping infant, the elfmaid's green eyes shone with love as she hummed a luullyby.

Outside she could her Saegle outide playing with their 3 year old Alia. From the sounds of it, the litttle boy was wearing his father out.

Selina leaned back in the rocking chair, her long dark hair flowing down her shoulders. Looking at the various pictures around the room, she smiled. So many friends, so many memories....

OOC: Thanks!

BIC: The kendermaid sat down and sighed, "Alas, I have not seen my son since I left Fernwood all those years ago. You know more of his well doing than I do, Airiana," the kendermaid almost wept. "I had no choice though. Had I stayed, Nuitari would've.... Well, he's a god. Who knows what he would've done to Fernwood. I had to leave. For the sake of the villagers... So, who found my note?"

Meanwhile...

Saegle laughed as his son twirled around in a circle. "You'll make yourself dizzy, boy."

Then the child coughed and nearly set flames to some shrubs. Saegle caught this in time and doused the fire. He picked up the child and quickly walked up the stair that led to the mysterious home. The dark male still had his doubts about this place. Who lived here right on the outskirts of Fernwood? And why did they just not come into the village? What were they scared of?

Saegle entered the home and nearly dropped his son in his shock and the sight that surrounded him. The thing he noticed the most was the portrait of himself and Selina. Who did he know?

He quickly walked to Selina. "I have a bad feeling about this place, love. It stinks of magic and have you taken a look at the walls? Our portrait hangs right over there."

He pointed to the left side of the fireplace and that is when he saw the two females talking. Why hadn't he seen them when he entered? An elf and a kendermaid. And they seemed to be enjoying each other's company. But, wait, the kender was crying! Kender don't cry. And he should know, he is part one.

Saegle whispered his doubts in Selina's ear and then pointed out the two female strangers. "Wait a minute..." he said, quietly. "That can't be..."

A little louder, he called out, "Airiana?"

The kender jumped at the sound of a male's voice. She looked in the direction it came from. The ebony skinned male looked familiar, but she couldn't... It couldn't be... "Saegle?" she whispered softly.

The demigod's ears caught the whisper and his eyes locked on Tassana.

At the familiar tones of her adopted mother's voice, Selina carefully stood up from her seat, cradling Alisha on her shoulder. Patting the baby's back as she stirred slightly, Selina came to stand at her husband's side.

Confusion on her face, she looked at Tassana, Saegle, then back at Tassana.

"How is this possible?"

A female in a black cloak walked into the garden. Her brown eyes glanced around her surroundings, eyeing each thing carefully. "How pretty," she sadi softly in an unknown heavy accent. She looked up at the fountain. "Looks like Mother's doing," she whispered to no one.

The woman's features were hidden beneath the black cloak. In fact, the only thing anyone could see was her eyes. Liquid brown and as fiery as lava. She walked up the stair as gracefully and silently as an elven ranger. She stopped at the door and looked at the carving. "So much like, Mother," she chuckled. "Looks just like Grandfather. Wonder where she keeps his corpse and alter."

The woman turned the copper handle and entered the home without a second thought. She took note of the people already in the room. A small elven family, a draconic elf, and then..."Mother," the woman breathed.

That's when she heard the kender say the name of the elflord. Her eyes turned to him and she studied him. Ebony skin, like her own. Brown eyes. White hair. Her lips opened slightly at the sight of him.

She then threw back her cloak. A huge mane of white hair fell out. It was dipped in blonde. Her skin was as dark as the elflord's. Her height as well spoke of her own heritage. She was a few inches shorter than the demigod. "Mother!" she said louder, demanding the kender's attention. "Who is this thing?" she ordered, pointing to the demigod. "Why does he look like me?"

At the strange woman's loud questioning, Selina's eyes flashed in defiance at her loving Saegle being called a thing. Defiance turned to more confusion as the girls words - and appearance - sunk in.

The newcomer looked like Saegle and Tassana! A mixture of both their looks, it was almost to much for Selina to take in. Turning to Tassana, she asked, "Mother....I don't understand..."

Rocking a now whimpering Alisha in her arms, Selina looked around in confusion.

Tassana's first thought was to throw her arms around her son's neck. Then she saw Callia. Her daughter. Again, she had an urge to hug. She heard Callia's questions and looked at the woman before her.

Saegle looked too and was shocked. Basically, she was a female version of himself, only she was different. And she called Tassana "Mother." She called his mother "mother." He looked at the kender. "Please, tell me what is going on?"

The kender looked at the three people and sighed. She sat back down on the cushions, looking defeated. She looked up at Saegle and motioned to Callia. "Saegle, there is no easy way to put this... This is Callia Silvermoon, your sister... Callia, sweetie, this is Saegle Darktime, your older brother."

At first the news did not register. Then, he too sat down and stared at the ebony woman for a long time. He then reached out to his wife for a comforting hand. His son had fallen asleep on the cushions closest to the fireplace.

At Tassana's statement, Selina eased herself down on the cushions beside Saegle. Concerned at how shocked he looked from his mother's new, Selina shifted Alisha to her left arm, taking Seagle's hand in her right one. The infant fussed a bit at being moved, but after gazing up at her mother for a feew seconds, her brown eyes closed once more as she settled back to sleep.

Being confused about the situation at hand, all the Kagonesti woman could do was offer support to her family. Offering an encouraging smile to her mother-in-law, and tenderly massaging her husbands hand as she sat with him and the children, she waited for someone to say something.

The onyx skin on the woman's face turned t oa dark grey. "My... my brother?" she whispered. "My brother," she repeated in disbelief. "My brother."

The darkskinned woman did not look too pleased about this idea. She turned and looked at Saegle. "My brother," she repeated again, still in disbelief.

She then started laughing. It wasn't a haughty laugh, nor was it arrogant. It was pure kender giggles. Alomst as if she could not control herself, the drowkender fell down to the floor, laughing.

After a couple minutes of this, she calmed down. She got up and straightened herself. She looked at Saegle again. This time she spoke. But not in the Common tongue. She spoke in near perfect Qualinesti. One could easily tell the language did not suit her. "So, you are my brother. Saegle... Darktime, is it?" she then started circling the small elvish family. Her brown eyes went from Saegle to the elven female sitting next to him to the child she held in her arms to the little boy who lay by the fireplace. Her eyes then returned to Saegle. "My brother, Saegle Darktime. Might I ask who your father is? Darktime is a very unusual name. In fact, from what I know, it doesn't even exist in the Underdark.

OOC: Is it ok that I use a few FR stuff here? Like Drow, Underdark, and such? It's just... well... Tas put me in a very tight ordeal here by putting this thread in a DL Setting. The kendermaid sat down and sighed, "Alas, I have not seen my son since I left Fernwood all those years ago. You know more of his well doing than I do, Airiana," the kendermaid almost wept. "Thy note? Oh, I believe that Ankh found it, on one of her rare occasions near the Inn. I don't think anyone else was there at the time."

A little louder, he called out, "Airiana?"

Airiana turned abruptly at the sound of her mortal name and smiled when she saw Saegle. "Saegle! How good it is to see thee!" She exclaimed, trying to get herself free of a tangle of pillows. When she did, she went over to the demigod and hugged him gently. "My! Thou art truly a man now, I see!"

Airiana soon saw Selina as well and gave the Kagonesti woman a hug as well. "Where have the two of thee been hiding thyselfs?" She asked, smiling. "And children as well!" She exclaimed, noticing the little girl in Selina's arms.

Then a woman entered. I beautiful woman, and obviously a relation to Tassana and Saegle. After Tassana explained, Airiana nodded her head. "Hello Callia Silvermoon. I am Airiana. `Tis nice to meet thee. Any relation to Tassana is a friend to me." She said, putting out her hand to shake the newer demigod's.

Taking her eyes from Callia as the woman circled her, Saegle and the children, Selina smiled at Ariana.

"Saegle and I were married," she explained turning her smile to her husband before continuing, "we then travelled for a bit so I could take the Test of High Sorcery. Since we were travelling anyway, we set on a quest to help me find out about my birth parents. After that, we soon returned home to Fernwood."

Gesturing to her sleeping children to her friend, "This is Alisha," she said with a smile at the sleeping infant in her arms. Guesturing to her son, still sleeping by the fire-place, Selina said, "and this is Alia."

From the softness in both her eyes and her voice as she spoke about her husband and children, it was clear to everyone the Kagonesti adored her family.

"And what of you Airiana? How have you and the family been?"

tassanaburrfoot
08/15/2003 8:33 PM

Saegle watched Callia as she circled him. Something about her made him quite uneasy. Maybe the fact that she said "my brother" as if it were sour lemons? Maybe it was the fact that she circled him and his family? Maybe it was the way she said his name? Who knew? But he drew Selina closer to himself. He knew better than to do otherwise. He wanted to call Alia to him, but he didn't want to disturb the boy.

"My brother, Saegle Darktime. Might I ask who your father is? Darktime is a very unusual name. In fact, from what I know, it doesn't even exist in the Underdark.

This question made Saegle even more uneasy. But wait, he was a demigod. Why should he be worried about someone who was obviously pure mortal? Still...

He straightened up. "I am the son of the Black Robed Wizard, Nuitari," he said, holding his head proudly. "Our mother gave me the name Darktime to represent the time in which I was born."

Tassana looked nerviously at her two children. Let us hope they don't get into any type of fight. she prayer silently. The kender knew how Callia was. She prayer the drowkender wouldn't start anything.

OOC: Airiana, please assume Saegle returned your affections. I couldn't think of a way to write it in with Callia and all.

As Selina spoke to Airiana, she felt Saegle move closer to her. Even without their emotional bond, the woman could sense the tension in her husband. Callia made him nervous. It was no wonder, the way the drow female continued to circle them.

Handing the sleeping baby to Saegle, Selina carefully drew her son closer to where they sat. The movement of the sliding cushions caused Alia to stir slightly, but his eyes didn't open.

Once she felt both children were safer, Selina drew closer to Saegle. Trying to put him more at ease, she stoked his white hair as they watched Callia circle them.

The drowkender raised an eyebrow at her brother and his wife and the reaction she recieved from them. She looked at Airiana.

After Tassana explained, Airiana nodded her head. "Hello Callia Silvermoon. I am Airiana. `Tis nice to meet thee. Any relation to Tassana is a friend to me." She said, putting out her hand to shake the newer demigod's.

"You will learn differently, dear dragonkind. I am surprised you even acknowledge my existance," she said, sneering at the prooffered hand.

Not having yet taken off her cloak, Callia thought this to be the best time to do so. She unfastened the cloak and threw it across a chair next to the table. This revealed strange clothing, most of which was spidery. Indeed, her breasts sat in huge black spiders whose legs embraced her. She wore black leather breeches that showed her curves. On her hip she carried what could only be considered a nasty long blade. The hilt of the blade was a Black Widow with a ruby on its back. Other than her blade, she carried a money pouch and a couple unidentifyable pouches as well as a dagger that held the same grotesque beauty as the blade.

She slowly slid the dagger out of its belt and started playing with it. She then walked around the room, glancing at the individual portraits. Her gaze fell lovingly on the portrait of Calyrin Silvermoon. "Ah, my father..." she said, pointing the ebony man out and looking directly at Saegle. "At least my father is a true drow. What race is your father, Saegle?"

She chuckled softly at herself and flashed the blade at Saegle. She continued her trek around the room, until she got back to her starting point. She walked back to the picture of Calyrin and looked around. "Where's..." she stopped and looked at Tassana angrily. "Mother! Where is she? Where is my mentor? Did you conveniently forget her or is she locked up somewhere? Ooohhh, Black Widow will be extremely angry when she learns she is no where in her dear friend, Tassana Burrfoot's house! This is betrayal and insult!"

As Callia circled the room looking at each portrait, to Selina her mood seemed to become even more strange. Angry and threatening somehow. Almost without meaning to, Selina began going over defensive spells in her mind in case things took a bad turn.

When Callia flashed the knife toward Saegle, the elfmaid instinctively drew both her children to her, as well as putting her arm around Saegle. Unfortunately, the movement, and perhaps the mood from their parents, woke both children. Alisha began to whimper and Alia clutched onto his mothers leg.

Sitting all together, the DarkTime family watched in wary silence as Callia continued moving around the room. Watch as she demanded answers from her mother, Tassana.

Saegle stared at Callia. Her lithe, slender form appealed to him. He had never seen that much ebony skin in his life except from his own body. She was certainly attractive. Very beautiful... but extremely deadly, as he noticed from her weapons and her ease with the dagger. He knew her intentions with the dagger and he drew his wife closer to him. Better he than she, he kept saying in his own mind. He found himself watching Callia's feline movements and had to shake his head violently to rid himself of the horrible thoughts.

Her gaze fell lovingly on the portrait of Calyrin Silvermoon. "Ah, my father..." she said, pointing the ebony man out and looking directly at Saegle. "At least my father is a true drow. What race is your father, Saegle?"

Saegle smiled. This time he had the upper hand. "Your father may be a drow, but mine is a god. A very powerful god at that... Tell me, Callia, how powerful is your drow father? Would he stand a chance against Nuitari?" the dark male tempted.

Tassana looked at Saegle desparately. She did not want a fight.

"I did not mean any disrespect, my dear Callia. I have not finished Black Widow's portrait. Here, I can even show you," the kender said and disappeared upstairs. She returned downstairs with a canvas.

Setting the canvas for all to see, the kendermaid pulled back the cover to reveal a not quite finished, but beautiful portrait of an ebony woman. This woman was more beautiful than the night sky. Her silvery white hair seemed to dance with even the slightest flicker of light. Her blood red eyes seemed to stare right into the soul. Her soft onyx skin revealed that she wore little if any clothing. It was a sight that would turn even the purest hearts of men to gaze dazily at the picture, wishing her to step out and at least kiss them. But, it was not finished. The background was black and took away from her skin too much.

"I have one more bit left and it will be complete. Then she will go up with you and your father, Callia. Again, do not worry. Your mother does not forget anyone who has ever had an impact on her life," Tassana said as she put the cover back down.

Saegle was sorry to see the black lady go back into hiding. He wished to see her face again. A look from his mother brought him back to reality.

"Then again," the kender said, mainly to her son, "it might be in the best interests for husbands if I didn't put the picture up."

Had Saegle been born pale instead of ebony, his face would've turned a beet colour. As it was, the flesh turned three shades darker. He looked helplessly at his wife.

As Callia circled the room looking at each portrait, to Selina her mood seemed to become even more strange. Angry and threatening somehow. Almost without meaning to, Selina began going over defensive spells in her mind in case things took a bad turn.

Callia looked at Selina. She smiled, her blood red lips glossing slightly to catch the flames from the fire. "My dear sweet.... Hmm... I do not recall getting your name..." the drowkender said. Then she thought about it for a minute. "Actually, I think the dragon said your name.... What was it?" she asked. Then shrugged, "Ah, well. Either way, I have known magic since I was born. If I want to do anything to either member of your family, I will not hesitate. And there is nothing you could do to stop me."

Saegle smiled. This time he had the upper hand. "Your father may be a drow, but mine is a god. A very powerful god at that... Tell me, Callia, how powerful is your drow father? Would he stand a chance against Nuitari?" the dark male tempted.

The drowkender sneered at the remark. She knew the intent behind it. She stared at him with loathing, then she smiled. "I think we will get along just fine, Brother. I will remember your remark quite well."

She then listened to what her mother had to say. She did the usual nodding, then watched her mother run upstairs, run downstairs. Callia was quite impressed with the portrait. "Ah, you display her so beautifully, Mother. The Black Widow will be pleased. It is nice to realize that you painted all these portraits, though what you had to go by..."

She caught Saegle's look and heard what her mother said. She stopped and again, her eyes narrowed. Without warning, she flung her dagger straight at Alia. It landed a centimeter away from the child's foot. The hilt of the dagger vibrated. The blade bit deep into the wood.

Seething with hatred towards the Darktime family, she whispered very threatening, "Do not begin to think I couldn't've actually killed him either. If I choose, he will die."

OOC: Is it to late to join? If it is then you can disregard this post, if not lemme know in an OOC! :) I wanna take my new character out for a spin.

In true kender style I borrowed Luni's character sheet :)

Name: Bini ThrottleBottom
Race: Male Kender (unaflicted :) ))
Age: 21 years old
Eye Colour: Sky Blue
Hair Color: Strawberry blonde, in topknot fashion
Family Origin: "Why Im related to my grandfather, and his grandfather, and my great great great grandfather.
Alignment: undecuded. But deffinatly not evil!
Rank: Umm.. I think I'm a kender afflicted with the wanderlust, but umm.. Im not sure what other rank I am. I do however have this wonderful spoon of turning...

IC:
Bini Throttlebottom skipped through the forest enjoying the cheery yellow sunshine on his face. He skipped because he enjoyed the way the wind felt on his face, the way the earth felt beneeth his deerskin boots. He skipped because he enjoyed life. Everything about being outdoors thrileld him. The only thing that thrilled him more was stories. Stories and Shiny things. But then again what Kender in his right mind wouldn't enjoy shiny things?
He glanced around at the house he had suddenly stumbled upon and shook his blonde topnot from side to side. He scratched his topnot for a second, and continued on his skip. He passed a beautiful fountain of the gods of magic. Funny how they didn't look at all like the ones he'd seen in pictures in Palanthas. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end as he glanced to the statue of the black god of magic. He shuddered. That was one entity he never intended on meeting. Skipping faster then ever he rushed to the front door finidng the fire ever so inviting. Inside were strange looking elves, a Kagonesti, and.. and.. a KENDER! Well.. at least he thought it was a kender. She sure didn't carry herself like one thats for sure! He glanced around at all the beautiful paintings that hung on the wall. So many people. He walked further in and heard the strange looking dark elf yelling at the man. He looked to the elf maiden and then turned back to the female kender, interjecting in everyone's argument.
"Hullo! My Name's Bini Throttlebottom.. I don't mean to impose, but you're house is fab-oo!"

Tassana looked curiously at the new kender who entered her home.

"Hullo! My Name's Bini Throttlebottom.. I don't mean to impose, but you're house is fab-oo!"

"Thank you," Tassana said in thickly accented Common. It had obviously been a long time since she had spoken in Common.

The kendermaid looked umeasily at her two childern. "You might want to be a bit careful, Love," she told Bini. "Those are my children and neither is in a good mood right now. They can both be very dangerous when not in a good mood."

Too late did the kendermaid realize that perhaps the word "dangerous" wasn't the best word to use...

First, who are you talking to, Sweets? Second, you did a really good entrance discription, though you may wanna put a space between your paragraphs. At least here in the forums. (Makes it easier to read) And third, everyone is welcome to Tassana's Home provided they act civilaly(sp) and repectfully.

Also, welcome to the boards, Adam! :) I present to you a piece of triple chocolate, double layer cake along with a glass of milk to wash it down. I hope you enjoy being here and will continue to be a part of this forum. My character has only been exposed to one other kender in her entire life and I would thoroughly enjoy roleplaying with you.

And to answer your question about whether or not you'd make it, Honey, if you have the heart and you wanna do it, anything is possible. You've already impressed me with your usage of words and description.

Having been looking at Saegle and the way he looked at Callia and the portrait of Black Widow, the elven Mage was jarred from her thoughts when she heard the dagger whiz through the air and land frightening close to her son.

As she watched helplessly, holding on to both her children as they cried, Selina gasped in her as she watched her dear Saegle rush at his sister with his sword drawn.

Be careful my love, she thought to herself with an intense fear she hadn't felt in years, our time together has been to short to let someone take our dreams from us.

OOC: Tassana, I think Adam was quoting you on that first part, the comment you made to me at the beginning of this thread...

BIC: Airiana nodded and smiled at Selina when she mentioned each child's name. "My family? Ah, Calista has moved on quite some time ago, venturing out into the world. As for Matthiass, he still runs the shop in Fernwood. He is devoted to it," she said in answer to Selina's question.

"You will learn differently, dear dragonkind. I am surprised you even acknowledge my existance," she said, sneering at the prooffered hand.

At the comment from Callia, Airiana took back her hand and glared at the woman before her. 'I do not see how such a dispicable(SP?) person as this could be a daughter of thine, dear Tassana. She is truly a retched individual, drow or not.' She telepathed to Tassana privately, not wanting the others in the room to hear.

"Thou art a drowkender? An interesting race, I must say. Quite nefarious(SP?), but overall quite intriging(SP? Sry guys.. I can't spell today! ^_^')." Airiana said, now circling the girl. "But I must tell thee... angering a dragon and a demigod both at the same time is not the best idea thee could have."

OOC: Lol. Tasandra I was complementing your introduction :)~ Guess my self inplanted quote tags didn't work. Thanks for the cake though! *munches* Im sorry to ask this, but is everyone speaking in common or elvish? I spose that would be quite the obstacle for bini to overcome. heh heh.

IC: Bini looks to the woman's children and then back at her.
"But they're siblings.. Im sure they'll get over it." He skipped over and admired the paintings.

Over hearing the comment with the word kender in it he spun on the balls of his feet to face airiana.
"I met a Drowned Kender once. Well I suppose I didn't really MEET hum, he was this ghastly color of white and his lips were ever so blue... I NEVER want to meet another Drowned kender AGAIN!" He nodded with much vigor after finishing his comment to Airiana.

The being seemed to rise out of the coming shadows of the night. With skin as black as a panthers fur and hair as white as snow, the creature stepped into the withering light into the gardens of the home. It, now known to be male, looked up at the home with his blood red eyes that turned purple in the light.

He walked up the steps with the grace of the panther. As his hand touched the copper doorknob, he looked at the carving of the kenderman and sneered. So that is the game that has been played?

He walked in to see an extremely amusing sight...

Never before had Saegle ever drawn his sword that fast. He growled as he rushed to the drowkender and held his sword threateningly. "You ever try that again... You ever do it, and you will have to answer to me!" he snarled.

Callia raised an eyebrow and flashed her dagger again. Before Saegle knew what hit him, she had rid him of the sword and had her dagger pressed against his throat. "You will learn respect," she gruffed. "We can do this in two ways: the easy way, or the hard way. To be honest, I tire at your need to show your masculinity(sp?). I would hate to see any of your loved ones get hurt."

With her dagger still at Saegle's throat, she looked at Airiana. "Your threats do not hold with me, dragonkin. I have been trained by the Black Widow and do not fear anyone or anything. And, as you can see, I have the upperhand in this match with my brother."

"Callia..." whispered the male who had entered the home.

The drowkender looked in the direction of the voice and nearly screamed in joy for who she saw. An imposing, handsome figure, the male could be no one but her father. She dropped Saegle and ran to the drow, throwing her arms around him.

The drow embraced his daughter lovingly. He then looked up at the kendermaid who had been standing in the room. "Tassana Burrfoot," he whispered in an accented Common, "it has been a very long time. And by the looks of it," he looked pointedly at Saegle, "you have something that you need to tell me. Something of utmost import, I should say. So why don't we sit down and... talk."

Callia looked up at her father and then at her mother. The drowkender was so excited, she could hardly stand herself. And her father sounded so happy to see her mother again!

Bini dropped the trinket he had lifted off of the shelf onto the floor with a thud. He stared at Callia and turned to Tassandra.

"Wow... This is the worst case of sibling rivalry I've ever seen.. Except this one time where my mom through he hoopak at my dad, but they weren't even siblings...." He trailed off as the man walked in. Suddenly Bini had the urge to remain quiet and slowly backed up to hide behind Airiana's rocking chair.

OOC: Adam, love, it's Tassana. No "d" or "r". :)

Tassana had never jumped so fast. She looked pleadingly at her daughter while whispering a prayer to all three of her gods.

Saegle stood stock still against his sister. He was beyond shock. Never in all his life had he been defeated in anything. Indeed, Callia was more than a worthy foe. She was a teacher and she taught him a valuable lesson. Never underestimate you opponent, even if it's your sibling.

The dark male also knew that, if she wanted to, she could kill him right here, right now. And something told him that she would feel no remorse or guilt towards it.

Tassana was about to say something to Callia when she heard a familiar voice. She looked towards the door and the colour in her face drained. There stood Calyrin Silvermoon. A drow right here in her home. Ooohh, and not just any drow. No, this was someone she had prayed never to see again.

"Tassana Burrfoot," he whispered in an accented Common, "it has been a very long time. And by the looks of it," he looked pointedly at Saegle, "you have something that you need to tell me. Something of utmost import, I should say. So why don't we sit down and... talk."

The kender's eyes widened a little. Then, calmly, in the language of the Underdark, a language that not even Saegle understood, she whispered, "Calyrin Silvermoon. It has been a long time. Unfortunately, not long enough. As for my son, there is nothing to say. I did not know you during the time he arrived into my life. And I do not believe there is anything we need to 'talk' about."

She knew her words would upset the drow. She hated the fact that he seemed to be happy to see her. She looked at her son, but was at a loss. How do I tell him something without Callia knowing what I say? The kender wanted to kick herself for teaching Callia so many languages. Then something dawned on Tassana. Where is Brightsky? And Tinsel and Coby? And Zynx? They should be in here greeting everyone as well.

With that thought, Tassana quickly excused herself and walked to the back door. She opened it and looked back there. Sure enough a pegasus, two silver dragons, and a black/silver dragon were here. And by the looks and sounds of it, they were having fun. All four stopped, however when they saw Tassana.

(What can we do for you, m'lady?) Tinsel asked, opening and closing her wings.

"We have company," the kender responded. "Saegle and his family are here. As well as Airiana, Callia, and Calyrin."

The little black/silver dragon jumped up in glee at the mention of Callia's name. (Oh how I missed her! I wanna see Callia again!)

Coby sneered at Zynx. (Where is your respect? Haven't you learned anything from us? How many years have you been with us?)

The little dragon stopped his jumping and looked sorrowfully at the big silver male. (I'm sorry, Coby. I keep forgetting.)

(Well, don't.)

Brightsky shook his mane and looked up at Tassana curiously. *You said Calyrin is here. Are you sure?*

"He is the only male drow I know, Brightsky," Tassana answered.

(Then,) Tinsel started to say before turning into an elf. She turned into the elf and then frowned as she watched her mate and the little dragon do the same. "Lets go in."

The four creatures climbed the steps and walked into the home. Three elves and a pegasus. It was a sight to see. Saegle smiled at seeing Tinsel and Coby together again. His heart warmed at the sight of Brightsky.

Selina had just finished telling Airiana she as glad her family was well as cried out in fear as the blade of Callia's dagger went to her husbands throat. She died inside at the idea of losing her love.

When the new male came in, the one that her mother seemed so unhappy to see, Callia withdrew from Saegle. Keeping an ear on the goings-on of the room, Selina stepped to Saegle's side. Wrapping her arms around her husbannd, she kissed his cheek and asked him if he was alright.

Still in the safety of Saegle's arms, she felt a tug at her robes. Looking down at Alia with a smile, Selina followed her sons gaze to the back door. The sight she saw brought a smile to Selina's face. Along with her mother came three elves and a pegaasus. One of the elves she didn't reconize, but the others could not be mistaken. Tinsel, Coby, and Brightsky had returned.

Standing with Saegle as the children stood gazing at the four newcomers, Selina greeted the old friends, "Good to see you my friends. It's been a long time." Turning to the third elf, the elven Mage smiled, "Hello. I don't think we've met. I'm Selina DarkTime, this is my husband Saegle, and our to children Ali," the smiled down at the little boy still gazing at the group, "And our daughter Alisha." Selina grinned at the infant as she sucked on her fingers while looking at the group. As young as she was, Alisha's brown eyes held the same wonderment as her brothers.

Selina smiled at the group again, then at her mother. Turning a tender look to Saegle, she shared her smile with him as well.

OOC: okay, i guess I'll join....and lucky me, the char I am choosing has always been quiet and contemplative...good for my couple-day absences.

BIC: As the sun lowered towards the western horizon, a lone figure appeared near the gate. The figure was cloaked in midnight blue, and the hood covered any features with shadow. A pale, slender hand reached up and pulled the hood back, revealing long dark hair the color of shadow, and eyes the color of the purest sapphire.

rose colored lips pursed for a moment then widened slightly in a faint smile. The woman seemed elvish, but there was a grace to her step that couldn't possibly be of this world... A silver circlet graced her brow, just above a pulsing shadow-star.... one that many would recognize....

As she moved through the gardens, her hair seemed to shift through colors, like light reflecting off of water, only this was shadow. The cloak she wore seemed a little bulky on her back, as though she had something hidden there...

her sapphire eyes fell onto the house once more and knew that her mother's old friends had come here...so far away from the villiage of their home... The woman paused, remembering...the last she had seen of that villiage was a burned shell....everything ruined save her mother's tree, and the Inn....

Slowly she moved towards the house and reached out to knock on the door....would any of them remember her? So many years have passed since they had seen her last.....

Saegle nodding reassuringly to Selina and returned her kiss.

Turning to the third elf, the elven Mage smiled, "Hello. I don't think we've met. I'm Selina DarkTime, this is my husband Saegle, and our to children Ali," the smiled down at the little boy still gazing at the group, "And our daughter Alisha."

Zynx looked wide eyed at the elf who addressed him. Then, like any other child, he ran behind Tinsel and peered out sheepishly.

The silver dragon/elf laughed, "Zynx, I have never seen you so shy."

Coby snorted, "Somehow it doesn't surprise me. The boy knows nothing."

"Lay off me, Coby!" Zynx said angrily. "You always have something to say. Just be quiet for once."

Both silver dragons, the pegasus, and Tassana looked at the small dragon shocked. This time Zynx snorted. He walked up to Selina and thrust his hand into hers. "I'm Zynx. Tinsel and Coby here are my mentors. But that," he said, pointing to Callia, "she's my girl."

Coby then noticed the drowkender and smiled warmly. "Lady Callia, it is good to see you," he said lovingly.

Tinsel sneered, "About as good as seeing a roach crawling in your dinner."

The other two dragons looked at Tinsel. The female shrugged and walked up to Selina. She embraced the elf, then turned to Saegle. "You are truly a man now, love. I have waited so long to see you again."

Tinsel then turned her attention to Airiana. "Dear Ancient One. Warms my heart to see you. How are Matthaiss and Calista? It would bring me much joy to see them again."

Coby looked at Saegle. He walked to the demigod and studied him. "Is this Lady Tassana's boychild? The one she had with Nuitari?"

Tassana gasped and looked at Calyrin.

But she didn't say anything. Saegle spoke up. "You must be Coby, Tinsel's mate. Where did you go?"

"What business is it yours, child?" the silver dragon asked, his lip curling a bit.

Saegle cocked his head and shrugged. "None. It's just... Well, this is the happiest I have ever known Tinsel to be. I was just curious at to what brought on your sudden departure and what brought you back?"

"We found him, Saegle," Tinsel said, playing with Alia. She'd stomp her foot and the little boy would run a little away from her, then start edging towards her giggling. "It took us awhile, but we found him."

Tassana finally spoke up. "I have a story to tell. A story to tell all of you. The story of me. Of what has happened to me. Much has changed in my life and much continues to change. Please, if everyone would find a place, by the fire, in a chair, whereever, I will tell you all my story. It will explain much of what has been going on."

Tinsel and Coby sat on the floor in front of two wooden chairs. Brightsky made himself comfortable by the back door. Zynx, always ready to hear a story, sat next to Callia.

Saegle looked at his wife and motioned his son close. The demigod sat on a cushion near the fire.

Then Tassana heard a knock. She walked to the door and opened it. "Good evening, child. Would you care to come in? She asked the cloaked figure who stood before her. The being looked familiar, but the kender could not place her.

"Oh good a story!" He said, sitting down crosslegged. He adjustyed several of his pouches as to be more comfortable and closed his mouth to be polite. He loved a good story. the girl smiled and followed the kender inside. "It is good to see you again Tassana... it has been many years for you and even longer for me..." Her sapphire eyes swept the room and she recognized many people....

She knew that they wouldn't recognize her, for she had only been a small child clutching her mother's hand in the midst of the burnin villiage when they saw her last...

Hesitantly she pulled off her cloak, and wings similar to a butterfly's were revealed. while wearing the cloak they where folded as tightly as she could manage against her back, now she stretched them...

They were of a soft sable black, with dark blue and silver patterns within... the bottom half of her wings ended in swallow-tail like points, and where tipped in blue.

"I was hoping to find you all soon... and if you do not remember me, I am Ariekne..." she said softly, her dark hair tumbling around her shoulders and wings.

"It is good to finally see you all once more..." She glanced at Selina, wondering if the elf-maid still had the crystal flute that Reiha had given her.

OOC: IT would be a crime to not enter here........but a little note 'bout Fernwood and Ankh: sometime during the time after she dissapeared Ankh had some fight thing and now Krystal is dominant though Minoa still surfaces. And you Fernwood ppl would know, obviously.

And yes, Tassana, you have a GREAT shot at being a writer!

BIC~

"Yes, it is." Said a voice from behind Ariekne.

Behind her was a girl who looked about 25 or so, but was far older. She was tall for a human, with long black hair tied back into a ponytail, and pale skin. On her back was a lonng double-bladed sword secured in a special harness, both blades made of solid tempered steel (or so it seemed), the hilt set with several large onyx gems. She was dressed in only comfortable leather armor, but her magical protection was far greater. She hard gray eyes, which were cold and uncaring, showing not a once of humanity, one of the last remnants of another life. She had nimble, dexterous (sp?) fingers, smooth and supple like she had never handled a weapon, yet her stance was evidance of the contrary. Her movements were graceful and elegant, almost mysterious inhuman, and she radiated a power. Anyone with at least slight magical ability would see that she was not one to be trifled with in the least.

For all of her magic and power, she held a secret. For in fact, she was not one being but two, a human girl and a powerful elemental lord, who had been together for many years, but never this close.

Krystal uth Usur, a small human girl had been the only daughter of a Nerakan interrogater during the War of the Lance. She had an inborn musical love, and was granted an instrument by her 'loving' father.

This instrument, an ocarina of a deep ebony color, have been currently a prison for a powerful being. A being who had fought a war several hundreds of thousands of years ago, and lost, and had lived within his own weapon since then. Trapped by his archenemy and several dragons of all different colors. An elemental being, a powerful elemental called the Shadow Lord, named Minoa. A foolish man called Usur had stumbled upon his cage and granted it to his only daughter, lured by the Shadow Lord's power.

For Krystal's life, she had poured out her soul through her music. Krystal had learned of Minoa, but as an optimistic human child, she had been misled to believe he was a good spirit, merely a sprite in her instrument for good of the world and to help people. She had not aged for many years as she and Minoa becuase connected, both rooted on her life force.

Then she had stumbled upon a villiage named Fernwood. It's inhabitants were unusual, as it was home to several mages, several dragons, a wolf-girl, and a half-fire slyph. Minoa had not been pleased. In fact, he'd raged about it, giving Krystal and the other residence a terrible problem of a very evil being. That was when the small child found out what she'd TRULY been living with. THrough malicious taunting and teasing, Minoa had managed to get one of the people to free him from his prison.

He had met Reiha, the fiece half-fire slyph, half-Kagonesti. He had raped her then, when he'd lost his prize, when it had been stolen from him by the god of good magic, Solinari. SHe had born her child, but not before realizing that she was truely a Light sprite.

After she'd born his child, Minoa had come to realize that the fellow elemental being he'd raped was no other then the child of his arch-nemesis. He'd tainted his worst enemy's bloodline, and the child Reiha had was no other then Ariekne, standing in front of her.

After that he'd been retrapped inside an instrument that was also possessed by his arch nemisis, the Light King, Lir, also Reiha's father, by Krystal and Reiha. The two had fought for where they would be banished too. But MInoa had one, and both of them returned to the Shadow Plane. Both were also extricated (sp?) out of the flute, Minoa regained strength and tortured Lir with great pleasure.

He'd then returned to Fernwood, with Lir as a prize. It had indeed been quite a victory for him. Ariekne, half shadow/half light, and Lir dead. He no longer enjoyed this villiage, and threatened to destroy it, if he did not recieve Krystal as a 'so-called' hostage. And she'd left with him.

Minoa had explained to Krystal why she'd been recieveing headaches since he had left the material plane. They'd been truely soul-tied, and the distance had caused them both pain. So they had fused, a magical procedure to tie two people into one. Krystal should have died, but she didn't and they were now two people in one body.

Both had returned to Fernwood, and none of them had recognized the combined being. Minoa and Krystal were now Ankh. Ankh Shadowlark, they had named themselves. They were now she.

Along the way, Minoa (still indiviual) had run into his other nemesis, the dark god Nuitari. THey'd shared a rivalry for some time, and this had only enraged Minoa to no end. or when Tassana had her child Saegle (OOC: Spelled right!), Minoa had hated it. Hated it beyond everything. Krystal had tried to calm him down, to no avail. As a last resort, they had both transported and left Fernwood. Through this self-exile, they had fought. Krystal, through will rather then power, had one. When they had returned, she had kept him in check. Now she had come here to see her friends...and her enemies as well.

"It is indeed a great thing to see you all again, i'd say," Her eyes flashed, "Especially you, Ariekne." She noticed the drow and the 'drowkender' and looked at them curiously.

"My friends, it has been long since we've talked. But i'm afraid I know neither of you." She motioned to the two at-least-part-drow.

"Airiana......how has your travels been?......Tassana, you seem to be doing well. Tinsel, Coby," Her eyes flashed evilly as a cruel smirk played across her lip at the mention of the last name. She made no mention of Saegle in fear of sparking Minoa's anger, "Ariekne....how is Reiha doing? Selina......you also look excellent. And who is this child?"

the girl smiled and followed the kender inside.

Tassana cocked her head as she looked at the girl. She was shocked to realize that she did in fact recognize her. "You are Reiha's daughter," the kendermaid observed.

Truly happy to see the girl, now turned woman, she walked up to her and gave her a hug. The kender then saw Ankh. She smiled softly at her. "Believe it or not, I am happy to see you as well. It has been a long time," Tassana said as she walked up to the woman, holding out her arms, hoping for an embrace.

Coby looked a bit antsy upon Ankh's arrival. And when she said his name... Tinsel was surprised the dragon didn't jump to the roof like a cat. The female dragon was happy though that he didn't run away like last time. He held his ground, though he shook like a Chihuahua that has been exposed to the cold.

Saegle looked at Ariekne. "I don't remember you," he said to her. But then he saw Ankh, "You though, I remember you.... You haven't changed much, have you?"

Selina returned Tinsel's hug, and greeted all Coby and Callia's friend with a smile. At her mother's mention of a story, she followed Saegle to the cushions and sat with her head on his shoulder, holding baby Alisha in her lap.

As she smiled to herself, glad to have her mother home, glad to be back in Fernwood with all her friend and family - old and new - she cocked an ear as she listened to her mother speaking to two new people who had just arrived.

Ankh and Ariekne had returned!

Just as Saegle's brown eyes had lit up on the sight of Brightsky, so Selin's green eyes did at the appearance of the two women. Kissing Saegle lightly on the cheek and telling him she'd be right back, Selina walked over to the two woman where her mother still spoke to them.

Looking first at Arikene, Selina smiled warmly.

"It's good to see you back, my friend. Not a day has passed when I haven't thought of you and your mother. How have the two of you fared?"

With another smile for tall human woman beside her, Selina addressed Ankh.

"Been a long time. How have you been?"

Selina smiled at the girl in her arms just as her daughter yanked on a lock of her hair. Wincing only slightly, she introduced Alisha to both women.

"This is my daughter, Alisha."

At the mention of her name, the baby turned and looked around. Her big brown eyes seemed to soak in every part of the two women in front of her. Then turning her innocent her eyes to Tassana, Alisha little hand out and grabbed her grandmother's finger.

Selina chuckled and turned to her mother.

"It seems someone wants to welcome you home, mother."

"Been better, been worse. I'd have to say that ignorance was bliss.....what...how long has it been since before Fernwood? twenty, thirty years? Time has no meaning." Ankh shrugged, and grinned at Alisha, "Pleasure to meet you, Miss Alisha."

She gazed at Alisha for a second, her gaze gone cold, and then it was torn away, "It is good to see you all again, I must say. Few gain friendships with a being such as myself," She laughed quietly, "I think HE stained HIS hands with enough blood to last a lifetime, or a few of them for that matter." She referred to Minoa, but did not change tense. The ShadowLord was seperate from her though they shared teh same body.

"I'd much rather still be twelve, playing my music." Then she smirked again.

Airiana just sighed and shook her head, not having time to explain to the little one the difference between a drowned and drow kender. Some things just took too much time, especially if they were being explained to a kender.

With her dagger still at Saegle's throat, she looked at Airiana. "Your threats do not hold with me, dragonkin. I have been trained by the Black Widow and do not fear anyone or anything. And, as you can see, I have the upperhand in this match with my brother."

Airiana sighed and wondered how this woman could be so powerful. She was, after all, only a mortal. A dragon and a demigod should either one easily take her, but it seemed that even Saegle had trouble with her. Airiana shook her head and sat down in a rocking chair, unsure as to what to say, never before having come across an opponent of this type.

The four creatures climbed the steps and walked into the home. Three elves and a pegasus. It was a sight to see. Saegle smiled at seeing Tinsel and Coby together again. His heart warmed at the sight of Brightsky.
Airiana smiled broadly as she recognized two of the "elves" and the pegasus entering the house closely behind Tassana. "Coby!" She exclaimed as she jumped up from her rocker. "I thought thee were forever lost! `Tis good to see thee again!" She said, embracing the younger dragon, then moving on to his mate. "And Tinsel too! It has been years, child! I am glad to see thee doing so well!"

Then Airiana turned to the pegasus, Brightsky, and bowed regally to the beast. 'It has been quite some time since last I saw thee, `tis good to do so again.' She sent the pegasus with a smile.

Airiana was not exactly sure what to make of the male drowkender who entered just then. From the shouts of glee coming from Callia, she realized the male was her father. Airiana chanced a look at Tassana and saw her go pale. Apparently, this was not the happiest reunion.

Tinsel then turned her attention to Airiana. "Dear Ancient One. Warms my heart to see you. How are Matthaiss and Calista? It would bring me much joy to see them again."

"The same applies to me, littling. I know no greater joy then happening on old friend, which I have done quite a bit of today, it seems." She said smiling, the warmth there echoed in the red pulse of the Heart Emerald around her neck. "Matthiass and Calista? They are well. Calista has gone her own way, but Matthiass still remains in Fernwood, tending the mageware shop he so loves."

OOC: Ditto.

BIC:Callia's eyes lit up even more when she saw Coby and Zynx. Nearly forgetting her father, she ran to the two dragons and threw her arms around them both in turn. She hadn't been this happy since she became the apprentice of the Blakc Widow.

Calyrin stood, watching his daughter and listening to Tassana. He turned his purple eyes to the kender. "You do know what this means? Now that I found you?"

Tassana said they needed to hear a story. The drow and his daughter looked at each other and shrugged. Callia sat down in one of the chairs and not to her surprise, the chair conformed to fit her height, weight, and body type. Calyrin did the same and got the same results.

Callia looked at the new girl who entered the room. "A shadowcreature?" she asked her father in Undercommon.

The drow shrugged. "I'm still trying to figure how we got here," he returned also in the language of Undercommon.

Callia then saw the other girl who had entered the room. No, she couldn't be a girl. Callia didn't know what the person was, but she was sure the creature was not natural. It screamed magic. Callia looked to her father and placed a reassuring hand on her sword.

Calyrin waved his daughter away. "No need, Callia. If she gives any trouble we can deal with her. But we will not start fight," he spoke in his home language.

"Father, the thing is not a person," Callia tried to say. "It's not even male or female... It's both! How did that occur?"

"Can you not feel the magic, Daughter? She reeks of it. Probably two people in one as well, by the looks and the way she's talking. Do not worry, Daughter. Keep yourself in a friendly mood," the drow said. Then he smirked, "And one more thing..."

Callia smiled. "Yes?"

"That display you did with your half-brother?"

The drowkender nodded, trying not to laugh.

Calyrin frowned. "Don't do it again. I don't know all that my sister taught you, but you will treat everyone with the respect they deserve."

It was Callia's turn to frown, not that her father stopped frowning. "What do you mean 'respect'? He didn't deserve respect. He..."

"How do you know what he does and does not deserve when you don't even know him?" her father interrupted. "You know what the magic gods mean to your mother, yet you are still determined to anger at least one of them. Stop it or I will."

Callia sneered and then folded her arms. She motioned Zynx closer and started petting his head as if he were a puppy.

"And don't pout," Calyrin said, knowing his daughter's stance all too well.

Callia sighed and drew her attention back to the other people in the room. By this time, Airiana was speaking again. The drowkender looked at the dragon and listened to what she said.

Calyrin drew his attention back to Tassana. "Now, love, you were about to tell us all a story..."

OOC:

Airiana was not exactly sure what to make of the male drowkender who entered just then.

Airiana, Calyrin is a drow. Callia is a drowkender. See? Think of Callia sort of like a half-elf, though half kender and half drow. Calyrin is pureblood.

Ankh laughed. The conversation between teh drow and the drowkender could be perfectly understood, being half-immortal and possessing knowledge of almost all tongues.

"Would it not mean, being so magical, I would understand your language?" She said to them both in flawless undercommon with a smirk, "And your assumptions are correct. I'm half human and...well, technically," she continued in the same language, "I'm human and elemental. Beyond that you don't need to know. I am, indeed, just about reeking of magic and the human, who you are talking to know, who's name is Krystal, is female, while the elemental side is male, and yes, I'm both, no jokes, i'll kick your ass."

She continued to common, "And I'm good with the magic, good with the weapon on my back, and very powerful. But I try to be civil, even if he doesn't. And I'm mostly in control for reasons I don't like to discuss. Leave it at that. I'm Ankh. And you are?"

As Selina and Saegle watched Alisha with Tassana and Alia watching everything around him, the Red Robe Mage kept an ear on the conversation between Callia and her father. Even though she couldn't understand what was being said, it was obvious that the female Drow didn't really like what she was bing told.

Everyone had nearly returned. All the friends and family Selina had been raised with the last 30 years were together again. Smiling as she surveyed the roomed, the elfmaid dropped a light kiss on her husbands lips as she looked up at him. Her green eyes sparkled with love.

Tassana listened to Ankh. She smiled softly. "I know Minoa and I haven't always gotten along. I do however hope that he can see past our differences and make amends as I would like more than ever."

Zynx whispered a few words in the ancient dragon tongue and changed into a black and silver dragon about the size of a large sized dog. His back was the colour of onyx while his underside looked like pure silver. He had green eyes. He smiled a dragonish smile and placed his head in Callia's lap. Indeed, he even acted like a dog. He wrapped his tail around his body.

Tassana kept an ear to Calyrin and Callia's conversation. She did not like what she heard too much. Until... Was she hearing correctly? Calyrin was correcting Callia's behaviour from earlier? Tassana looked at the drow a bit surprised. She didn't think the drow would ever take to defending one of Tassana's spawn that did not belong to Calyrin himself. The kender eyeballed the drow suspiciously.

"Would it not mean, being so magical, I would understand your language?" She said to them both in flawless undercommon with a smirk, "And your assumptions are correct. The kender jumped at this. She looked at Ankh and said almost perfectly in Undercommon. "Please, Ankh. Calyrin has told Callia that he does not wish to start a fight. Please, let us not fight here. We are all old friends coming together after a long journey. Grant it, we may not all know each other well, but please, do not fight. I ask you... no, I beg you."

Tassana sounded much like Callia did when the drowkender had spoken Qualinesti.

Saegle looked at his mother and newfound sister curiously. They both had been speaking a language he did not know. Even Ankh spoke it. He assumed it was some type of language spoken by the drow, for he spoke it with such elegance, Saelge was surprised the drow didn't start floating about the room. Callia had also spoken the language quite well.

She continued to common, "And I'm good with the magic, good with the weapon on my back, and very powerful. But I try to be civil, even if he doesn't. And I'm mostly in control for reasons I don't like to discuss. Leave it at that. I'm Ankh. And you are?"

(OOC: Is Ankh speaking Common or Undercommon? If she isn't speaking Common, the disregard this next post)

BIC: Saegle cocked his head. "By he, do you mean that Minoa fellow? Could you tell me more about him?"

Calyrin drew his attention back to Tassana. "Now, love, you were about to tell us all a story..."

The kender nodded and spoke in her thickly accented Common, "Yes, if everyone would find a seat, I would like to tell you all my story."

The kender handed Alisha to Saegle and sat down in a chair. Saegle placed the baby in his lap.

Tinsel looked at the kender reassuringly. She didn't know all of the kender's story, but she knew some. And the bit that she did know, she knew would be hard for the kendermaid to relate to all these people.

Brightsky got up from his place near the fireplace and moved to lay next to Tassana. Just like Zynx did with Callia, the pegasus laid his head in Tassana's lap.

Smiling at his wife, Saegle returned the kiss, only this time a little deeper.

Smiling at his wife, Saegle returned the kiss, only this time a little deeper.

While everyone settled down to hear Tassana's story, Selina returned her husbands kiss. Pulling back, she smiled at him again as she took his hand in hers. The fact that she adored Saegle was easily obvious to everyone in the room.

Sitting her, in her mothers home among her friends and family, memories flooded over Selina. Her wedding to Saegle before Tassana had left, their trek to Wayrenth for Selina's Test then the continuing journey to find out about her biological parents, the births of the children - Alisha's only having been two months ago. No matter the situation, wether it was with the kids, her studies, or a new trek to somewhere unknown, Saegle had always been her strength. Even when the two lovers had to be apart, their emotionally telepathic bond, allowed them to communicate over great distances. Allowed them to be at each others side with a mere feeling.

Indeed, it was their bond that had enabled Selina and Saegle to meet and fall in love.

Wether good events or bad, Selina and Saegle had leaned on each other for 30 years now. And now that the others were gathering again, Selina could only imagine the adventures that they would face.

Whatever happened, they would handle it together.

"Tassana," Ankh said with a grin, though her eyes remained brutally cold, "You know him well enough. Would he have stopped if you begged him? I think...for that matter, I KNOW he would have laughed in your face and then splattered you to bits. I live with a wonderful creature."

She turned to Callia and Calyrin, "I will not start a fight, and I will make sure he doesn't either."

She then patted Saegle on the head, but the motion was jerky and clumsy, "He doesen't like you, my little demigod. I dare not speak his name nor yours in fear of sparking his anger. He is....dormant. Yes, that is the word. But he does not like you at all, he wants to see you painfully destroyed and eradicated. For that matter, he threatened you very badly when you were still an infant, at Fernwood. And you as well, silver," She looked up at Coby, who had faced an experiance none should have during their battle, "Your name by my lips would wake him as well."

She leaned against one of the walls of the magnificient room and shook her head, sending her braided hair flying, "His story is not for little childen, Darktime. There is far too much war and death. You, with a father such as the one you have, do not need to hear the lives of his rivals."

BIC: As Ankh spoke of Minoa, Selina's mind flashed back to the quest so long ago. It was true Minoa despised Saegle's father, for it was that feud between the Shadow Elemental and the God of Dark Magic which had called for the quest. Minoa had hated Nuitari so much that he had called for the destruction of Saegle, and had openly mocked and threatened anyone who came to the infant demi-gods defense.

It had been a tense and confusing situation for the villagers of Fernwood, and Selina for one was glad when it had come to an end.

Ariekne was happy that they had remembered her, though Ankh's presence somewhat unnerved her. When several of them, including Ankh asked of her Mother, Ariekne's eyes darkened.

"Mother is gone... returned to the light from which she came... many had mourned her passing... and I felt most unwelcome after... I have not lived in my home realm for nearly a hundred years... on my scale that is...."

She remembered her argument with her father... the dark shadow lord, Minoa, how that it was her time to spend in the light...that she was the "twilight before the dawn"... and how it had taken hundreds of years on her own plane to become what she knew her father would wait for.... "The twilight of the Night"

She brushed her dark hair away from her face, and smiled faintly...

PrincessOfDarkness

"Reiha.....gone?" She asked sadly. "Even he mourns her. As I. I'm sorry. That must be a terrible feeling to be so unwelcome. You are welcome here, and many other places," Her eyes gleamed, "He wants you with him, Ariekne. I suppose you know that."

"My condolenses, but I've never grieved before.....either of I."

"He hasn't been to his home realm since us. Then again, he considered it more of a prison then a home."

"You musn't grieve, Ariekne," She leaned down, resting her arms on her knees to face her, "It is then that the darkness consumes."

She was hiding her words, as usual. For the proper word wound not have been 'Darkness', but Shadow.

Krystal had learned much more of Minoa by now, and some of the atricious acts he committed. The last thing that the universe needed was someone like Ariekne, kind, beautiful and sweet, to turn to one like him.

Still sitting with Saegle and everyone, waiting for her mother to tell her story, Selina overheard Ariekne's words about Reiha's death. In that instant, the elfmaids green eyes filled with unshead tears.

Selina leaned her head on her husband shoulder as more memories came.

The last day she had seen the friendly light slyph was when she had taken her child - Ariekne - back to their home realm. Before leaving, she had left Selina a crystal flute and a note. The note promised that if the villagers of Fernwood ever needed her, all Selina would have to do was play the flute and Reiha would return. Selina still had both the note and the crystal flute locked in the safety of a trunk under the bed in her bedroom.

Many times Selina had read the note and held the flute, remembering the very first face she had seen on her arrival in Fernwood. Many times had she sat with her family and told them of Reiha. Many times had she hoped that someday the light slyph would return.

And now she was gone. The pain Selina felt in that intstant hit Selina like a brick.

Selina sat in silence, wanting to mourn her friends passing, but not knowing how. Not with so many eyes and ears in the room. So instead, she just leaned on Saegle and held her children to her. She flashed one helpless look to her mother, but stayed silent. Her grieve, when it came, would come later.

Sitting with Saegle and the children, Selina realized that Ankh was right. Reiha would not want her friends to be sad for her. She would want them to remember her fondly, as she would them.

And that was exactly what Selina would do. Everytime she held the flute, read the note, or remembered Reiha's singing, Selina would smile.

Calyrin gave an annoyed look to Callia, then he did something that was quite unusual. He got up from his chair and walked over to Tassana. Picking her up as easily as if he were picking up a child, he sat in her seat and then placed her on his lap. He held her tenderly. "Yes, Tassana," he whispered, "tell us your story."

Ankh looked up the stairs, "Then their purpose will be furfilled, I supect. I have travelled alot, and thought I may only be half-mortal, I still need some sleep. Would you mind if I stayed in one of them, and do you require a price?"

"There are few stories I don't know. Few that I wish I didn't know. Alot that I do know. Let's add to that collection of known stories. Perhaps I can provide a more grim one if nessacery?"

From her seat beside her husband, Selina turned at the meloncholy sound in her friend's voice. Her geen eyes clouded with concern. It was clear that whatever Ankh had been through since leaving Fernwood all those years ago had effected her deeply.

Selina wondered if the young woman would ever be truly happy again, the way she had been before here bonding with the Shadow Lord Minoa.

The Kagonesti Red Robe prayed that happiness would be possible for Ankh again.

"My story is very... hard?" Tassana began. "I really couldn't say exactly. I don't know where I was born, just where I grew up. An outcast in the streets of Qualinesti, I spent most of my time sitting in an alleyway watching the other children play games. Then, I met the Speaker and his wife, Queen Alhana. They thought I was someone they knew and when they realized I wasn't, they accepted my graciously into their palace... Now I know that sounds strange, but I didn't know a 'Tasslehoff Burrfoot.'

"I started spending my time around the palace. Then one day, I saw this elfboy skipping rocks by himself. Thinking it would be the perfect opprotunity to make a friend, after all, he looked pretty lonely, I walked up to him and introduced myself. At first, he was a little nervous, but then he and I became best friends. We even betrothed ourselves to one another.

"Then it happened. Alhana got captured. Porthios was held prisoner and Gilthas was forced into office. Alhana and Porthios were banned. I was angry. Garthalas, my elven companion, was sent away with his family. I had no one. My own family having disappeared. So, I met Gilthas. And we became friends.

"And then... I met Fizban..."

The kendermaid stopped. She placed a hand on Calyrin's arm. She gritted her teeth to fight back the tears.

Saegle looked at his mother. In all his life, he had never seen her cry. This upset him deeply.

Tinsel and Coby looked at her curiously. They had never heard this part of the story before. Grant it, they knew who Garthalas was, but she met Fizban? They hadn't heard that before.

Zynx yawned. So she gets upset about this Fizban? He wondered why...

Brightsky nuzzled Tassana reassuringly. He had been the only one she had told this part of her story to.

The kendermaid stopped. She placed a hand on Calyrin's arm. She gritted her teeth to fight back the tears.

Saegle looked at his mother. In all his life, he had never seen her cry. This upset him deeply.

Selina listened to her Mother's story with avid interest. In the 30 years Selina had known Tassana, her guardian had never shared her story with the elfmaid.

Then the mention of this Fizban. Selina didn't know who he was, and it upset her to see Tassana cry. Not knowing wether the sadness she felt was her's or her husband's, Selina watched her mother with concern.

She laid a comforting hand on Saegle's arm as they waited for Tassana to continue her tale.

Calyrin's face darkened, if possible, at the mention of Garthalas. Though the drow knew the elf was dead, it still burned him to hear Tassana talk of him. But the drow also knew Garthalas had played an important role in the kender's life. So, he held Tassana gently as she began to cry at mentioning Fizban. This was a first the drow had heard of this person. He wondered whether he should worry about this person. The person obviously meant something deep to Tassana, but then again, so did many people... The drow pondered this as he waited for the kender to continue.

Callia watched her mother. Fizban?.. Who in the Abyss is Fizban she thought to herself. Never had she heard the name. It seemed to bring a very strong emotion from her mother. This upset Callia. She watched her mother, hoping against hope that the kender would explain who Fizban is.

As she watched her mother begin to cry in Calyrin's arms, Selina became more aand more distressed.

Had this Fizban hurt her somehow? Who was he?

All these questions and more, ran through the young Kagonesti's head. Seeing the pain her husband was in over his mothers tears, Selina put her arm around Saegle's shoulders and held him close.

Even the children were quiet, both no doubt confused over why everyone looked so sad.

OOC: I wanted to join this for a while, but I was busy. My threads are going slow right now, so I'm good to go!
BIC: Jade was looking anxiously back and forth into the woods. Someone was following her. Perhaps many someones. SHe cames to a somewhat of a clearing. An aroow whined past her. She ducked. "Damn!" she yelled and yanked out her sword. "Ogres!" she was running as fast as she could, and she heard large bodies smashing through the brush. Howls and yells in their foul language grew louder. Suddenly something hit her. Hard. She tumbled to the ground and groaned. A wound above her eye was seaping blood into her area of vision. She staggered back up. Another blow. She fell down again. Her packs were yanked from her. Blindly, she struck at a dark mass. A howl told her the blade had gone home.

Another blow flew her across the clearing. She could think of one thing to do. The words of dragon-magic came to her mouth and a mysterious blue powder coated the clearing. Then calling on her kodragon inheritance, she latched onto the lifeforce of the forest and propeled herself to the other realm. She plane walked. Her change from one realm to another was dizzying. She was startled by the light, but hurried on. She could dimly hear ogre howls. Then she heard an explosion. She was weakly satisfied. Her blasting powder worked. SHe staggered ahead. Something was ahead. A house? She shifted back to the material realm, in an entrance way.

OOC~ More Ankh facts for the Fernwood people - When she left when Nuitari came, something (I don't knwo what) happened. Whatevet it is, it caused Krystal to gain a semi-permanent dominance as oppposed to a 65/45 Minoa. The only still fact Minoa has is her eyes, which are cold, emotionless, and unforgiving (and generally Minoa), and her weapon (which really dosen't count)

SHe listened eargerly to Tassana's tale, though he was extremely bored. She snarled angrily as both the girl and the guy appeared, and gave a hasty apology for her outburst and glared (giving her eyes, this wasn't too difficult and often worked) at both of them.

"Why are you intruding? Tassana is in the middle of a tale. Yes, it is her, but she is busy. Clean and quiet yourselves if you wish to stay, as the rest of the occupants are!" She growled.

Returning back to Tassana, she bowed. The name Fizban she didn't recognize, but the elven names were recognized by him, and spat on. How much like him to spit on the elves.

"Continue please, Tassana. If it pains you too much, then deny my request."

"What did he look like? What was he like?" His Kenderness began to take over again.
"Was he as old and wrinkled as they say? Did he have the fireball with him?!"
Bino rocked back and forth on his bottom, suddenly very excited.

08/25/2003 12:29 AM

Tassana wiped the tears from her eyes. She smiled and nodded her head at Jade and Adrian(sp?). She picked up Calyrin's hand and kissed his palm lightly. She smiled at Bini and Bino's questions. (OOC: I'm assuming Bini and Bino are two different people. If not, just delete one of the names.)

"Yes, I met Fizban. Course at the time, I did not call him Fizban," she said continuing with her story. "To myself and all elves, he was E'li. To most other people, he was Paladine. I had been living in the Tower of the Sun for a little while now when he showed up. He introduced himself as Fizban and told me he knew my father. Course, I thought he had meant my elven father. But he did not. He proceeded to tell me about my true father, Tasslehoff Burrfoot.

"The great god, Paladine...." she sighed. "He gave me the Golden Hoopak, knowledge of my father, and a message. 'Don't go looking for him right now. Times are getting tough and Gilthas needs you here,' he said. And that is when the Chaos War hit Krynn.

"I helped Gilthas alot. Did as much as I could to save Qualinesti. When the war was over, we counted our loss and started to renew. And that is when Gilthas and I decided it was time for me to leave," she said as more tears formed in her eyes.

"Never had I been so devastated. I did not want to leave. Qualinesti was my home. But I knew I had to. I was ready. So, I packed lightly and mounted my pony and set off to explore Krynn. To find my father. I first went to Darken Wood, for I had been told that was where my kender mother had died. There I met the Forestmaster who gave me a pendent that allowed me to call upon the help of mystical creatures whenever I needed them.

"I left Darken Wood and started towards Solace, where I had heard my father recided at one time. Along the way, I met Tiger Curlknot. The first kender I had ever set eyes on. I was amazed at how much different he looked from what I had thought. He was dingy, with an unkempt topknot and an almost toothless smile. He smelled of old, dried up sweat and his clothes were worn and dirty from the road. But that didn't matter. He intrigued me. And I had just learned that he and I were related. He was my father's nephew! And he offered to see me to Solace. I had a companion!

"Tiger was the sweetest person I had ever met. And he knew so much about Tasslehoff Burrfoot. He told me all sorts of stories. How my father single-handedly fought thirty draconians and a dragon at one time. Told me stories of my father freeing a wooly mammoth and saving the life of some grumbly hill dwarf. I was truly enthralled. I was so excited to meet my father.

"We reach Solace probably a week longer than what we should've. I was impressed with the vallenwoods and sleepy little town. Then I saw the monument. We rode up to it and my first thoughts were, 'Blessed are the gods.' I had never seen a more beautiful monument to those who fought in the Chaos WAr.

"And there on top of the monument, in beautiful letters, were etched the very words I had dreaded... 'Tasslehoff Burrfoot.' When I asked Tiger why my father's name was on the monument, he said because, 'To save Krynn, Unlce Tas did the one thing no one else could do, he destroyed Chaos... Course, he got killed in the process.'"

Again, the kendermaid stopped. Her face was extremely pale. She whispered a quick word of magic that brought forth a glass of water. She took a sip of it and closed her eyes. She leaned her head against Calyrin's chest.

Though Saegle now knew who Fizban was, seeing his mother get upset again caused him pain. He was being to really not like seeing this kender, whom he thought invincible to hurt and harm, break down so easily. He placed a hand on Selina's arm and closed his own eyes, breathing deeply, calming himself.

Airiana did not know what to say, before Tassana had begun her story, she was about to leave, but hearing this, she knew that she could not ...not now, at least. Airiana felt Tassana's sorrow and pain eminate throughout the room, and felt it effect her. The Heart-Emerald around her neck shifted it's color to a deep blue, showing sadness. "Adrien!" He exclaimed running up to her and giving her a big hug.
"How in Fizban's name did you get here anyway?!" He grimmaced then, realizing what a pour oath that was to utter and cast a sorrowful glance as Tassana. Excitement began bubbling over him as he took Adrien's hand.
"Come in, This is such a wonderful place, and there's even a DROWNED KENDER." Bini nodded as if to affirm his own statement.
"And there's lots and lots of doors, and a whole bunch of paintings! Tassana is oh so very talented.... I wish I could be more like her..." He found his hands reaching into Adrien's pouches and remembered her warning, quickly he pulled them away, silently admonishing them for thier horrid behavior.

"Tassana, was your father really and truly THE Tasselhoff Burrfoot?"

tassanaburrfoot
08/28/2003 12:08 AM

Tassana nodded her head at Bini's question. "That he is. I am the only proven daughter of Tasslehoff Burrfoot. Not that it matters, for I never got the chance to meet him.

"Which brings me back into the story. Clearly, I was devastated at this new finding. Tiger and I went to the Inn of the Last Home to get some food and find a place to sleep. I met a human there. An older human. He was big too and went by the name of Caramon Majere. He couldn't keep his eyes off me and finally asked me my name. I told him I was Tassana Burrfoot. Again, he was surprised and started talking about, guess who? My father! He sounded as if he knew my father real well.

"I questioned him and learned that he really did know my father. In fact, he had been one of my father's closest friends. He told me I had to meet his wife and son. Then he called a redhaired woman to him. She was very pretty. I knew she had been beautiful in her day. He introduced us and the woman burst into tears. She even gave me a hug.

"Well, Tiger was happy. We had gotten free room and board for as long as we wanted to stay. Caramon entertained me nightly with stories of my father. I even got to meet his son, Palin. I fell in love with the family and wished to all the gods that I could be included as part of their family. They were so warm and happy and just plain nice. Tika, Caramon's wife and Caramon treated me as a long lost daughter. I was even offered a job at the inn as a waitress.

"Needless to say, Tiger and I stayed at the inn for a while. Those were happy times. Real happy times. During my time in Solace, I had forgotten my self-bannishment, the loss of my betrothed, even the loss of my father. I was happy. I was loved. I was considered an equal."

Tassana smiled at these memories.

Saegle couldn't help but smile himself. He was so happy to see his mother happy after she had just been crying. She must've really loved Solace.

Making contact with the hand that had touched THE TASSLEHOFF BURFOOT sent tiny shocks of pleasure up and down his little body. When the tiny waves reached his Kender brain his eyes widened.
"I'm never going to wash this hand again..." He whispered, as he fell to the floor in a faint.

How could she explain that she had actually traveled with him, and during the war of the lance! She sighed. She WAS approaching her 90's, having been born 23 years before the war of the lance, and 18 years before meeting a grumpy dwarf craftsman named Flint Fireforge. She had turned twenty five the night raistlin died. And then she stopped aging. And the world pretty much well forgot her. Well now she had done it. She was screwed. "Well", she said as she picked up the uncoscious kender and draped him on a cushioned chair, and began looking in her pack for her canteen to throw water on him with. "I knew it was going to happen eventually. Now what do I say?"
She located the cahteen, threw water on him, listening to him cough and splutter, thought of what she would say next.

Tassana heard the kender's conversation with the woman. Her eyes narrowed. She cocked her head. "Well, Tasslehoff Burrfoot wouldn't know he had a daughter, would he? After all, my mother, real mother that is, did the deal with him and then left. Just left. She never told him anything. She bore me and was on her way to show me to him when she got caught in the crossfire of fighting draconians and was chased to Qualinesti, where she dropped me off to keep me safe. Then she ran her horse into Darken Wood and fell, breaking her neck. So I suppose Tasslehoff Burrfoot wouldn't know who I was, would he? I didn't even know who he was until the beginning of the Chaos Wars. In which case, I couldn't leave Qualinost because I was good friends with Gilthas and didn't want to leave him to fight it by himself."

Tassana growled.

The shadows bore no forgiveness, the light held no understanding. All that was left for this outcast was perhaps a friend who would remember him. It had been countless ages since he had walked with her, speaking of daily events. Though it had only been a few decades, he wondered if she could still recall his name after dissappearing for so long.
So much had happened in that time. So much had took place in his life, having his original body destroyed, being placed in this cursed form with half of Krynn breathing down his neck. He sighed softly. How easy it would be to just vanish into the darkness and never return. That course of action would not help him attone, no. He had to face his past, and perhaps even those he hurt.
Beneath a sliver colored cloak, two golden colored eyes stared out, the orbs were yellow, not white in the least. The cloak was lined with a soft black felt, giving it both a soft, and a stark contrast to the silver.
Thankfully, the depths of the hood hid his face. It was best for everyone not to see him, lest he start a fight just by being there. He knew on most of Krynn, his kind were not welcome. A silver scaled hand reached to knock on the door, the scales making a strange racket on the ornate wood. He would have to hope Tassana was home, and remembered him otherwise he would likely get a hoopak to parts he didn't need to think of.

Tassana jumped at the sound of someone knocking on the door. She looked up curiously. She turned to Saegle. "Mind opening the door, dear?"

Saegle shrugged and got up. He stretched his legs and other parts. He had sat down too long. He walked up to the door and opened it. He looked at the figured staring before him. The demigod's liquid brown eyes stared up at the figure. His eyes traced the cloak, the blck lining. He looked up at the golden eyes.

"Who is it, love?" Tassana called and jumped out of Calyrin's lap. She walked to the door and opened it wider. She looked at the figure curiously, not sure what to think. Then she looked at the eyes. It took her a little, but she knew who the figure was. Or at least, she thought she did. "Atma?" she whispered.

Zynx jumped up at the name. "Atma? Where?" he asked excitedly and ran towards the door, tripping over his tail and skidding to a halt on his face at the door. The dragon's eyes trailed up the figure. He smiled, "Atma?!"

Tinsel and Coby smiled at the figure. Brightsky nickered. All three were truly pleased to see their old friend. Though, Coby remembered his arrogance and tried to play it off, but he did a horrible job at it and finally gave up. The silver dragon smiled warmly.

"I have missed you, my friend. The rivers of time has parted us for too long... But it doesn't matter anymore. You are here. Alas, the river has united us once more," she said in his cloak.

Calyrin got up as well, but made no move to the door. Indeed, the last time he had seen the dragon had been a most unpleasant encounter. He found it safer to move closer to the fire and bring up the blaze. Such a blaze brought less attention to himself. Also, it turned him into a dark figure that he hoped Atonis wouldn't recognize. As soon as the question of his race had left the lips of the girl before him, Ankh, he felt a slight tinge in the bottom of his stomach. With all these people around, there would be little chance of getting out of here unhurt, should someone choose to pursue what lay under the cloak. His kind were accursed, made by dark magic, though this was not his true form.

However he was soon caught off guard by the embrace from Callia. It had been to long, indeed. He awkwardly returned the embrace, his silver scaled hands once more showing for a moment. His attention wasn't drawn to Calyrin, so he didn't notice him.

" Callia, it has been so long since I saw you as a toddler, making trouble for your mother with errent spells and taking poisoned lollypops from strangers. "

He said that with affection however, it was just his weird nature.

" Have you been well? I have pondered both your status, and that off your mother. Hold on dear, there is someone else inquring about me, who I must explain to. "

He turned for a moment to face Ahnk, and to speak to answer her question. He had stepped away from the embrace, but only so he could answer the other girl.

" I was once known as Atma, or Atonos to some. I hold no rank nor do I hold any position above a common traveler. To know my race is to visit the core of the old nightmares, to view the effects of dark magic at its worst. I keep my face hidden for a reason, for my protection, as well as yours. "

He sighed softly. He knew very well how Tassana felt about the kind he had been transformed into. If she wanted to kill him, he would not blame her, nor would he strike at a lady to stop her from harming him. At least some of his honor had survived the transformation. At least Callia hadn't noticed, perhaps Tassana wouldn't either. He examined Ankh from the depths of the hood, his eyes never seeming to close nor blink.

" My purpose here is to meet an old friend of mine. I was told I could encounter Lady Tassana here. Tell her the name Atma, and she will remember who I am.. Hopefully. If she doesn't, I will leave things be and trouble her naught. "

Even as he spoke the sounds of Tassana's voice caught his attention, though he no longer had ears of a normal nature to hear it with. What further drew his focus to her was the fact she said his name. His eyes traveled over the one who had opened the door, and then back over Tassana, almost as though he was in disbelief someone had remembered him from all these ages past. His attention went fully to her, the time they had been apart bringing up many memories.

" Tassana? You.. remember me? I apologize for my long absence, but I have been under most unusual circumstances. I hope you will pardon my intrusion upon your home and forgive my brashness entering. "

tassanaburrfoot
08/29/2003 10:39 PM

Tassana smiled warmly and took her turn at a hug with the dragon. But something felt strange. She remembered see a scaled hand and broke away. "Are you ok, my friend?" she asked, conserned.

That's when Tinsel and Coby picked up the scent. Tinsel looked curiously and Coby snarled. The male dragon got up and walked to the fireplace, nodding to Calyrin. He whispered to the drow, "He's changed. I don't know how yet, but he has changed."

Tinsel got up and walked towards Atma. Her elvish figure flowed easily towards the door. She stared hard at Atma. "You've changed. You are among friends, yet refuse to take off your cloak? Why Atma?"

Saegle watched, curious, but unsure what to do or say. His demigod and magic senses screamed that something wasn't right, but he wasn't sure what. He could feel the tension flowing from Coby. The silver dragon's growing anger at this being Tassana called "Atma." He could only wonder himself.

OOC: Sory for my unexpected abcense guys. My modem broke. I'm getting a new one on Tueday, but my boyfriend is letting me use his computer at night until then.

BIC: Selina had sat and listened to her Mother's stgory in silence. Through all the emotions, in the midst of all the newcomers. Every emotion Tassana had expressed, be it saddness or joy, had efected her adopted daughter deeply. Throughout the tale, tears ran from the elf- mages emerald eyes. Sometimes accompanied with sorrow, other times with a smile.

The story was interupted once more by a knock at the door. At his mother's request, Saegle handed baby Alisha to his wife and answered the door. Along with the other occupants off the gathering, Selina turned to see the newcomer.

He sure was an intriguing sight. Golden eyes that shone from under a dark cloak.

As Selina continued to watch, sherealized that a few already knew this one. Callia and her dragon friend both were excited by his arrival. Callia's father, however, though he seemed to reconize the dragon, seemed less earnest to greet him.

For her part, Selina remained silent.

BIC: "You are not the only one who senses something wrong," Calyrin whispered to Saegle, touching the demigod's shoulder. "I knew Atonos. He's very much different. Coby has noticed it as have I."

Callia looked up at Atma. "Yes, I was an impish child, was I not?" she said, smiling. "I still am to be honest."

She knew something was wrong, but she couldn't sense what her mother or anyone else could. Oh, she knew foul magic had been played, but what the outcome was, Callia couldn't tell. She did notice that it brought her father away from the fire and caused Coby to become angry. This bothered the drowkender and she placed a hand on Atma's cloak, though making no move to do anything. She wanted to make sure she wasn't imagining things.

Saegle jumped at the sound of the drow's voice and the feel of the ebony hand on his shoulder. The demigod turned to face the drow, but somehow, nothing of repremand came to mind. He just nodded his head in agreement.

Coby walked next to Calyrin. "I really think we should see just how changed Atma is," the dragon sneered.

Saegle shook his head. "Does it really matter? Look at my mother. She is happy. Isn't that all that's important? Who cares how changed the guy is?"

Coby glared at Saegle. "Your mother has been hurt in the past with false happiness. Look at what Calyrin did to her. Look at what your father did to her. I refuse to let that happen again!"

Saegle couldn't think about what to say. He looked helpless.

Tassana heard Coby's fussing and turned to the dragon. "What are you yelling about?"

Coby said nothing, just fumed. He glared suspiciously and angerly at Atma.

Zynx, who had been staring up at Atma admiringly, happy to see him back, simply said, "Atma, I don't remember you having silver scaled hands. Where did the hands come from? Are they part of a costume?"

Tinsel thought about this. She thought she knew the answer, but she did not speak her mind. Better to let Atma reveal himself than have anyone else do it. The kendermaid may take it better that way.

Sinking into the safety of her husbands arms, she listened to his concerns over this Atma and nodded. She too sensed that there may be something strange about the dragon and it worried her.

At Calyrin's unexpected approach and even more unexpected words, Selina jumped and spun to meet the eyes of the drow male. She eyed him suspiously for a moment but then simply nodded at his assesment of the situation.

Glancing from Calyrin, to Saegle, to Coby Selina's concern over Tassana was evident.

"I hope she doesn't get hurt." she murmered to Saegle.

Bini groggily got to his feet, putting a hand on Adrien's arm for support.
"Goodness, what happened?" He asked to the multitude of Adrien's floating around in his vision.
He turned to the new comer and glanced at his hands. Walking up he touched on, and it sent shivers down his spine.
"Wow mister... I've never seen hands like that before.." Bini looked up curriously at the cloaked man.
"What's the rest of you like under there? Are you all gross and pussy? I came across an animal like that in the forest once. I imagine he had to have been laying there along time as there were lots and lots of bugs crawling on him, and even when I sleep in moss I don't attract that many bugs..." The Kender blabbled inanley about bugs and sleeping in moss for several minutes then- realzing the man wasn't paying attention he shrugged and awaited a reply..

"It is very difficult to scare me." Ankh said, with a slow smile, "I am not easily frightened. As for transformations....." Her smile dissapeared, and she clenched and then opened her hand to reveal a ball of pure, dark energy, that bristled with static. It floated for a second, then she closed her hand and it dissapeared, "I am undergone one myself, and it was hardly pleasent. I am also not xenophobic. I assure you, whatever you have gone through, you can tell me. I will not try and hurt you. All I wish is that you not mention his," She motioned to Saegle, "Nor his father, or the silver dragon's names. It is an odd request, but one that needs to be granted."

Ankh bowed once, and then moved away to examine the cloaked figure. The silvery hand became noticable, and she raised an eyebrow.

Hearing Ankh's last comment, Selina nodded absently to herself. Mentioning the names of Saegle and his Godly father in front of the woman would only irritate whatever consiousness Minoa still inhabitated with in the body. And Minoa meant trouble that the villagers of Fernwood did not need to revisit.

That's when she noticed the silvery - and scaly?- arm of Atma. Although the dragon had not removed his cloak yet, enough of his appearance was showing to draw attention. Bini the Kender had been bold enough to touch the silver arm! Even Alia's attention was drawn - he kept looking at Atma and back at his parents.

"Mama...may I go see?" he asked hopefully.

No, youngling....not yet. Let's just let everything calm down first."

Even though Selina spoke with a smile, her son knew the warning in his mother's voice. His eyes widening slightly, he nodded solemly and sat down crossed-legged beside his baby sister. Never once did he take his eyes from her...or Atma.

So protective for one so young,Selina thought, so much like his Father.

This was followed with a gaze to the man in person. Selina smiled at Saegle, queezing his hand slightly to let him know everything would work oout.

The situation it seemed was growing delicate. There was so much explaining to do, yet he had no idea where to start. His enterence, which had been intended to be subtle, was turning out to be a look at the strange dragon in the cloak day. His honor wouldn't permit him to lie if directly asked, but he could beat around the bush quite a bit.

" Tassana.. Much has happened. What I have been exposed to is not something you wish to encounter. I wish I could give you a more detailed explanation, but lets just say I had a very nasty run in with dark magic awhile back.. "

His gaze turned to Tinsel. Things had went from delicate to all out fragile. She would probably be able to smell what he was now, despite the care he had took to mask his scent. The question would be, would she attack first, or try to sort this matter out? He would have to say something to calm her down and put aside some of her doubts.

" Tinsel.. I cannot remove my cloak. For good reasons as well... "

He switched to the language of dragons, hoping that no one else there would be able to understand it. Even so, he would utter a cryptic phrase.

" Remember the eggs.. "

That was as much as he could say without revealing totally what had happened to him. At the very least it would tell them what sort of body he had been forced into, and perhaps they would have the sense not to reveal to the whole world one of the beings created by the dark goddess stood before them. By the looks he was getting, he could guess everyone was detecting something not quite right about him. He glanced at Callia now, returning his speach to common. He kept his voice calm, as though nothing was wrong or strange about him. Perhaps he could play this off.

" It is good to hear that you have not changed. That side of you was always interesting to be around, and you always had a way of keeping things lively. "

He smiled, but thank goodness no one could see it. It would have made many brave people wet themselves to see what the smile of a creature such as him looked like. Turning his gaze to Zynx, he sighed some. This just wasn't his day, was it? If worse came to worse, he figured he could at least run out the door. Then he would have to deal with those dratted elves again.

" These are not costumes, but a part of my curse.. I.."

Both eyes went wide in horror as Bini came over and touched his hands. He silently cursed the dark goddess under his breath for putting in the company of a kenderboy. This was going downhill even more rapidly, and worry him. Since he knew kenders were curious by nature, this meant he would have to distract the kenderboy. He reached into one pocket of the cloak, fishing around in it. He pulled out a shiny gold piece and handed it to the boy

" Don't worry about me. Go play with this over on the far wall. I will give you another later. "

Next his attention was drawn by Ankh's words. Oh lovely, -another- person focused on him.

" I do not doubt that for a moment, but I cannot reveal it here for fear of my own personal safety.. Even among friends it would be foolish to show mine cursed face to the world. "

He sighed softly and looked to Tassana, almost helplessly. He might as well explain before one of the others found out on their own.

" Tassana, I need to speak with you of this, alone. Then perhaps you can explain to the others better than myself. You are the one I would fear would have the worst reaction to this form, and you are the one I worry most about upsetting with it.. Just keep an open mind and do not panic.. While my original form was destroyed, my soul is intact in this shell.. "

Catching the last of Atma's speech, the Kagonesti woman looked from the Dragon to her adopted mother in concern.

Whatever had happened to Atma's "original form" must have been bad to warn everyone against such worry.

Tassana listened intently to Atma.

" Tassana, I need to speak with you of this, alone. Then perhaps you can explain to the others better than myself. The kendermaid nodded silently. A strange feeling entered the pit of her stomach. The feeling of foreboding. She didn't know what was wrong, but she knew it was something.

Saegle and Brightsky jumped at the same time and said at the same moment, "*She goes no where without me!*"

Tinsel turned to both of them and cocked her head. "You cannot both go. That would be unfair to Atma."

The demigod shrugged, "Then I shall go. I am her son afterall and it is my duty to protect my mother."

*Then where were you all these years?* Brightsky snorted. *I have protected her, not you. I should go.*

Saegle sneered, "Perhaps had I known she was leaving, I would've gone with her." His eyes flashed red, but remained brown.

*You have been trained by one of the best trackers. Why didn't you just track us down?* the pegasus retorted.

Saegle drew his sword and his eyes did turn red.

"ENOUGH!" Tassana demanded to both of them.

They stopped immediately. They both looked at the kender stupified.

"I have taken care of myself since the day I was born. I've never needed an escort and I don't need one now. I will be fine. I trust Atma with my life. And you, Brightsky, who has known Atma for as long as I have, should be willing enough to do the same," Tassana said as calmly as she could. There was however a fire in the kender's eyes and her face was pink with anger.

Tinsel pulled Tassana aside. "M'lady, do you think it wise to talk with Atonos alone? I realize how he was, but it has been a while since our last meeting and he has changed dramatically. I can tell."

Tassana scoffed, "I have full trust in Atma. I have seen worse sides of him and have stuck by him. He has never once brought me harm and he won't this time."

Coby then stepped up. "M'lady I have to agree with Saegle, Brightsky, and Tinsel on this one. I would think it wise..."

"Do NOT tell me about wisdom, Coby. And do NOT underestimate my authority again. Neither one of you. I will not have it in my house! Understand?" the kender had taken a deeper approach this time. The power emminated from her body so strongly, that neither demigod, dragon, nor pegasus dare approach her. All four bowed their heads and decided against further talk.

Zynx just watched curiously, then horrorifically. He never knew Lady Tassana could get so angry. Then again, she was very powerful. Zynx shrugged. Who was he anyway to tell Lady Tassana what to do? Afterall, the black and silver dragon trusted Atma as much as the kender did. he smiled adoringly at Atma.

Selina had watched the entire interaction between her mother, her husband, Brightsky and the dragon couple with fear. Having stood up as well when Tinsel and Saegle voiced their objects about meeting with Atma alone, Selina thought about voicing her concerns as well.

One look at Tassana's angry face and feeling the aura of power from her, Selina quickly squashed that thought.

Still something about this Atma bothers me.

Stepping to Saegle and putting a gentle hand on his sword arm, she looked into his brown eyes.

"Put the weapon away, love. Please. Tinsel and Brightsky are our family. They meant no insult to you or anyone. Our journey's took us other places while Mother was away. Everyone understands that."

Oh dear. This was indeed quite a bit more than what he expected when he first came in. First tormented in rather distasteful ways by those accursed elves, then stared at by everyone, then questioned like a petty criminal, and now it seemed he was the focus of much distrust.

Time had really changed things so greatly that even he, the optimistic, nosy silver dragon had to stop and consider if he still had a place here with his friends. Maybe it would be best if he vanished and didn't reappear this time. He didn't want to cause trouble among his friends and get them at each others throats. Wasn't that what the dark one had wanted when she sent him into this form? To cause him to stir panic and chaos, to upset the very nature of things around him and draw such reactions out of people. He let a sigh, both eyes gazing down at the ground. Such would be his fate.

Turning around, the tip of a tail could be saw from beneath the cloak. He didn't bother to hide it because at this point it didn't seem to matter. Everyone was focused on everyone else, with all the tense anger. He could have waltzed through in a bikini covered only by a tutu and he doubted anyone here would notice him in this state of chaos. One thing troubled him most of all, the effect it had on Tassana. He hadn't meant to cause trouble or bring this pain. With a sad sigh he slipped out of the door, perhaps unnoticed in all the arguing. His steps were hurried as he moved away from the house, not wanting to provide any more reason for it's occupents to get even more angry with each other.

Zynx followed Atma, also unnoticed and unheard. When they got a little away from the house, Zynx spoke up, "Atma? Why did you leave?"

The little dragon's large green eyes stared at the figure sorrowfully. "You just got here and I'm sure Lady Tassana would be deeply hurt should you leave without at least bidding her a farewell."

Meanwhile....

Saegle slipped his sword back into it's sheath and kissing his wife on the lips. "You are right, my Beloved."

Coby looked around and gave Tassana a suspicious look. "Where oh where has our Atma gone now?"

Saegle looked up and gazed around the room. "Indeed, he seems to have vanished. Caused trouble and left, just like that."

"He did not cause any trouble," Tassana said in a raspy voice. "You did. All of you. With your suspicious looks and distrustful words. You should all be cursed for your thoughts."

Tinsel, Coby, Saegle, and Brightsky gasped at this. Then Tinsel cooled down. "Perhaps we should go after him, m'lady? And apologize?"

A low groan left his lips, hearing the voice of the other dragon. Well, this was probably the first thing that had looked up for him. It could have always been one of the Kender, and not a fellow dragon that followed him. That would have led to many distasteful questions and rumors. Oh well. He turned his head to look at Zynx from beneath the cape, not stopping in his steps away.

"Lady Tassana is better off without my presence. It might hurt her some, but having a little pain is better than dealing with a houseful of angered people. I do not wish to cause trouble, and if I stayed there, I must assuredly would. Maybe I should show you what lies beneath the cloak, however, you will not find it easy on the eyes.. "

One silver clawed hand drifted upwards to the hem around the hood of the cloak. The air was thick with the suspense, almost like in a horror movie before you know something nasty is going to spring out upon you. He slipped the hood back, the sunlight glinting upon a silver scaled head with horns.

His muzzle was not as long as a normal dragons, but it wasn't exactly short either. His head was that of a humanoid dragon. It seemed he had been cast into the body of a Draconian. Most people would either run, or attack him at first glance. The very few that stuck around him were usually very drunk or very stupid. His kind were the kind created to serve the dark goddess, and no one really wanted one of those creatures to hang around. Quickly, he covered his face back up with the hood, lest anyone else chance a glance out there and see what he really was.

" Now do you see why I keep my face hidden? You and I both know how Tassana feels about my kind. It would only upset her.."

At first, Zynx was struck dumbfounded by Atma's appearance. Then he sat back and looked at the revealed draconian. He cocked his head to one side. "Lasy Tassana told me a story once. We were in this village and I got my first shot at a draconian. I was curious as to what they were. I asked questions and Coby told me. Then Lady Tassana said something to me. She said, 'I knew a draconian once. A rogue named Verex. He was very kind and intelligent.' She told me, 'Do not judge a parchment by it's colour, shape, or size, Zynx. Judge the parchment for what's inside it. Because, the inside is where the beauty and wonder is. And that's what counts.'"

The black/silver dragon looked at Atma again, "I don't think Lady Tassana would be that upset. I know Coby would, but you know how Coby is. Tinsel and Brightsky wouldn't be upset, just a little hurt by the fact that you didn't come clean sooner. And Saegle... well... I don't know him well enough to say aye or nay. Callia would be ok with it too I think. And well, Lord Calyrin... Oops..."

The young dragon looked at Atma fearfully. He knew the draconian's hate for the drow. For it was a hate shared by all those loyal to Tassana.

Meanwhile

The kender, two dragons, demigod, and pegasus looked around them. They did not see Zynx.

"Damn it!" Saegle swore. "He probably went after Atma. Most likely, he followed the guy."

The other's nodded in agreement and Tassana grabbed her cloak. She buckled it and looked at everyone in the room. "Do not leave this house. I will go and find the two and bring them back. I won't be long... And, Coby, you better have a better attitude... You too, Saegle."

With that, the kender left the house and nearly flew down the stair. She looked around for footprints and soon found them. She followed the trail and was soon watching Atma and Zynx from the cover of the trees. Her elvish training worked well and she was able to stay out of sight and out of smell. She could hear the young dragon speak of Verex and wondered why. Steathly, she made her way closer to hear better.

She hated to think her Kender Guardian was angry at her - at anyone. She understood that families disagreed at times, but even after all these years, anger of any kind struck fear into the kagonesti's gentle heart.

" If things were so simple, I would have not hesitated to reveal the curse. However the nature of it is very sensitive. Can you imagine not seeing someone for thirty years, and then finding them in -that- form? I didn't want to place any stress upon her, nor did I wish to bring down my misfortunes to her household. She should be spared of such things if possible, but, what is the limit to which I can guard her from the fact? I fear it might traumatize her, or worse affect her memory of me... "

An anguished sigh left his lips. He had never been one to keep secrets long. It wasn't in his nature to lie and practice the arts of deceit. There had been a few run-ins with the dark goddess that had broken that nature into shards, but those were events and times best left to the dark crevices of his memory. Whilst he couldn't forget some of the events Tassana and himself had ventured together through, he would try to learn from them and make sure that the dark one never ensnared his mind again through such means. Ironic though he now had the body of one of her faithful followers, when he had been one of the dragons who had stuck back against her.

" I did not mean to imply I did not hold a good faith trust in my friends, but keep in mind these past thirty years have not been kind to one with this body. Whilst my friends might be understanding, I've had to keep half of Krynn's swords away from my throat. I haven't had a decent nights rest since that day, the day the curse was laid upon me as a fitting mark of irony. I can only hope they will forgive me. I have added to my sins and I have much to atone..... "

The dragon's voice trailed off at the mention of the name Calyrin. That wretch had survived all these years!? Oh, that name had a very large effect upon him. The instant he heard it, his calm demeanor snapped and he was almost filled with the full fury of an angered dragon. There was more than one body part he wished to remove from Calyrin, and he could think of non flattering places to shove the said parts. He only rarely got to this level of anger, only when he knew of one who would harm his friends or seek to use them.

"Zynx.. Before I go do something I thought was took care of thirty years go, pray tell me why someone hasn't ripped him to pieces and sent him to the bottom of the abyss? " Came the shaky tone from the dragon. It was venomous with anger. " If he has hurt Tassana.. I will freeze more than one body part off and let him watch while I stomp and shatter them.. "

Such talk coming from him was dangerous, since he was never one to be provoked to that point.

OOC: Tonight on as the Kender turns... Will Tassana ever come to terms with Atma? Will Adrien ever figure out why she's here.. and will Bini ever stop putting things in his pouches?

IC: Bini looked with wonder at how the female Kender acted.
"NOt at all like a normal kender.." He whispered to himself. He half wished he could be like her. So strong headed, and indivdu-indi-individroolistic.. No that wasn't quite right.
His fingers touched something smooth and round on one of Tassana's shelfs. Secretly he placed it in his pouches for later inspection. Some things he just didn't have time for.
He turned around and decided to step outside for a breath of fresh air. He turned around.
"I am stepping outside for some fresh air. Should anyone care to join me.." He muttered.
Sitting down on the front porch he took out the smooth orb and touched it. It began to softly glow a deep blue. It was warm to the touch, but not uncomfortably hot. Suddenly a beam of red light shout out from the center of it, and a small ragged form appeared.
"Where am me?" It asked, it's eyes practically bulging out of it's head.
"What you do with Grungu and Barbar?" It blinked. It was filthy and covered with dirt. A gully dwarf.
"Where did you come from?" Bini asked, staring in wonder. The Gully dwarf stared right back just as intently.
"Me cast magic spell on yoU!" It shouted, doing a little dance.
Nothing happened.
Bini blinked confused. The creature pointed a grubby finger at him.
"Me shaman Abfall Haufen! You Evil evil man." It squinted it's eyes pulling up it's hides protectivly.
"Leave it to me.." Bini sighed, turning around to go inside the house.
Abfall ran after the kender wildly flailing it's hands.
Bini ran up to Adrien tugging on her robe sleeve.
"I did it again.." He muttered. "Where was it when we needed one!"

As Tassana left the house, Selina looked on helplesssly.

She hated to think her Kender Guardian was angry at her - at anyone. She understood that families disagreed at times, but even after all these years, anger of any kind struck fear into the kagonesti's gentle heart.

My family here is not like the humans who raised me! She reminded herself almost desperately.

Saegle looked at his wife. He had never seen her so distraught. He put his arms around her and pulled her close to him, wrapping the rest of his arms around her in an embrace. "I think I know what troubles you, Beloved," he started, then stumbled, "and.. I don't know what to do for you... Except assure you that you will be safe... at all costs."

Tassana watched Atma curiously. What has changed about you? What happened?

She watched a little more closely and noticed the reptilian way he carried himself. At first, she dismissed this as he being dragon. But then she remembered Zynx mentioning Verex. She thought about it and looked at Atma even more closely... "It can't be..." she whispered softly.

The dragon's voice trailed off at the mention of the name Calyrin. That wretch had survived all these years!? Oh, that name had a very large effect upon him. The instant he heard it, his calm demeanor snapped and he was almost filled with the full fury of an angered dragon. Such talk coming from him was dangerous, since he was never one to be provoked to that point.

Tassana's eyes widened slightly. This is a good time, Tas she thought and jumped nimbly from the tree.

She made her way to the clearing, revealing herself to the draconian and dragon. "I know what you are, Atma," she said simply. "And you have nothing to fear. I do not judge what is on the outside, dear Atma. I judge you from the inside. And your devotion to me has proven your inside hasn't changed one bit."

"Wha.. how.. where...?" Zynx struddered. He stopped a moment and restated his questions. "What are you doing? How did you get here? Where did you come from?" this he asked in fast Qualinesti.

The kender cocked an eyebrow. "Your trails are so obvious a gully dwarf could've tracked the two of you down. I have been hiding in the trees, watching the both of you and listening to your conversation."

She turned to the draconian. " I ask that you compose yourself, my friend. Calyrin is safe now. He will do no harm to me nor anyone else in the house. As it is, he is at my home and being watched by Tinsel, Coby, and Brightsky. I was not born yesterday."

She smiled, "Please, my friend, let us go back into the house. Everyone is interested in seeing you. We have missed you very much."

Forgetting everything else in the house for the moment, Selina wrapped her arms around Saegle's neck. Unfortunately, the safeness of his arms unleased all she had spent 3o years trying to keep buried.

In that instance, the strong-willed elf, the powerful Mage she had become, all vanished. Selina cried into Seagle's shoulder, forming a response through her tears.

"I still remember those years. The harsh words, the beatings, the chains. When they got angry, it meant trouble and pain, Saegle," she sniffed miserably before continuing, "now Mother is mad at us for our reactions to her friend Atma..."

Even though Selina knew her Kender-Mother would never hurt her, the pain in her eyes at the memories was unmistakable.

Poor dragon. Today was just not his day. Not only had he been upset, disturbed, provoked, enraged, depressed, sad, lonely, and worried, now he was scared out of his wits, having Tassana come out of the brush. His eyes drifted closed, as if worried. Any moment now, he expected to feel the feeling of a hoopak smashing down on his head. To his surprise, she didn’t hurt him. As his hearing caught more of what she said, his eyes went wide. For the moment, he forgot about Calyrin and turned his attention to her, dashing over to hug her. It was managed with some difficulty, considering he was two and a half feet taller than she was. Oh well.

“ You don’t hate me? I was so worried you would despise me for this form. I was about ready just to go and never trouble you again. If only I had known you wouldn’t mind I would not have worried in such a way. Thank you Tas! “

He sort of rambled on like that, it being his nature even in old times. He would often worry about offending people, though it never seemed to be at quite the right time. At the second mention of Calyrin, he tensed up again, standing from the hug.

“ I should have flown, but alas, my mind was elsewhere. Tassana, dear friend, the day that Calyrin is well behaved and safe to be left to be watched, is the day I grow feathers and cluck, pardon my sarcasm. He has no good within him, but I’m guessing you’ve heard this before, so I will not trouble you with another speech. “

He really hated Cal, but he could at least tolerate it form the moment, due to the relief he felt from Tas not hating him.

Ankh smirked again, then sighed deeply to herself. There was a flash, and suddenly two icy eyes were glaring (but not exactly meaning too) at Atma.

"It is unwise to leave without an explanation."

Then she moved slighly, nearer Zynx, "I have a.....suspicion. Coupled with your idea that I am not fluent in every language including undercommon and draconic, and your silvery hands, and your tail, and your comment about eggs, I am going to guess that you are a," Her language fluently switched to draconian, "draconian. A silver draconian, born of one of Tinsel's eggs."

It reverted back to common, "I need a yes or a no. If yes, I will not only withdraw my threat, but I will not lay hands on you unless you instigate something against me or my friends, and also, your secret is safe. I am good with secrets. Perhaps you will learn my own, which is far worse the what you've endured. Far, far worse. If no, provide me with the correct answer, I will know if you are lying, and then everythign will still apply. I have alot of paitence, and can wait quite some time."

IN a kind of distant way, she acknowledge Tassana with a nod. She also decided to not threaten Atma.

Tassana smiled, engulfed in Atma's arms. She could feel his scaly arms against her clothes, but it didn't matter. This was the Atma she knew and loved. She was happy.

She laughed, "I know what Calyrin is. And I know he will never change. Not truly. But he is behaving himself right now. He has been behaving himself since his arrival. I expect nothing bad from him, but at the same time, I have every eye possible on him."

Tassana and Zynx looked at Ankh confusedly. They did not know what to say. At least, Tassana didn't. Zynx however spoke up, "You think Atma is one of Tinsel's kids? He couldn't possibly be. He's far older than Tinsel. He used to be a silver dragon. A very wonderful silver dragon. Much larger than Tinsel was. He didn't used to be a draconian. Now he is though... But that's not his fault and it had nothing to do with Tinsel's eggs. From what I know, Tinsel never had any eggs..."

The black/silver dragon looked at the kender for help. Tassana just shrugged.

"However........," SHe began again, "Atma did say something about remembering the eggs to Tinsel in draconic, obviously not only implying it to be a secret, but also saying that Tinsel had eggs. I would like to say they were turned into draconians becuase I BELIEVE she mentioned it earlier, but I'm not posistive."

"I like silver dragons. They're pretty useful in all kinds of sorts." She bowed once to Atma, "My deepest apologies about my rudeness. I like to comfirm my suspicions, and I'm not used of dealing with people that I shouldn't hurt for it."

BIC: So much was going on that Airiana didn't know what to think. She got the impression that the newcomer was a dragon, but something was wrong. When Bini asked her, she nodded her head in ascent. She caught the whif(SP?) of draconian and decided that this was not the creature's doing... if Tassana had known this Atma and liked him, his heart was not evil.

"Even so Tassana, eyes are good to watch, but every eye must blink. In that moment he will make his move, and you must be ready with a sword, lest he take advantage of a moment of weakness. A lion sleeps about, and rests during the day. He can coexist in a heard of deer and not harm a single fawn. However, when his hunger strikes, he will massacre those around him and feast on their ruin. Do not forget that Tassana. I would hate for him to harm you."

Hearing the comment from Ankh made his eyes go wide. For a minute he was worried, then he saw she had misinterpeted his words. He would have to try and sort this out. What he had meant was much different.

Zynx perked at the sound of pancakes. "With fresh maple syrup?" he squealed>

The kender nodded. Zynx jumped in glee, tripped over his own tail and almost sent Tassana, Ankh, and Atma to the ground. The black/silver dragon peeped an apology and looked sheepishly at Tassana. Waiting for her to say "Let's go eat" cause suddenly, the small dragon was hungry.

Besides... Zynx thought, Mayhap I'll get lucky and get to meet Airiana's daughter. After all, Coby said she was cute for a little dragon...

Saegle smiled at Selina. "And you are mine," he whispered, cupping her head with his hands and kissing her tenderly on the lips.

A small, light pull at his pants caused him to look down, though his lips stayed on Selina.

"Daddy, is that girl re-a-lated to us?" asked the small boy that looked just like his father.

Saegle gently let go of Selina and looked down at the boy to see he had been pointing at Callia. The demigod nodded. "She is my sister. And your aunt."

A slight nod of his head was all he could give as the majority of his focus was devoted to standing. Zynx might have been small, but dragons, even short were built solidly. A falling dragon could easily knock a hole in a brick wall, or break down a fence. He was glad he wasn't caught in the midst of the tiny Dragon's stumble.

Finally, when Zynx had righted himself, he dared to reply.

" Yes, Tassana, it would be a good idea to grab something to eat and return before anyone would get too worried. By now everyone must think I devoured you, Zynx, and Ankh. "

Hearing Ankh's reply, he tilted his silvery head to the side, pondering her statement. Logic wasn't always the best means to reach an assumption.

" Never place faith in logic. Things can often be more than they seem. Magic is an illogical force, bent to the wills of the gods, and beyond full mortal comprehension. Many mages have died from their own spells backfiring because the caster grew to confident in his ways. Always trust your instincts first, for that is what they are there for. Two and two always is four, but never forget there might be a missing number to the equation. "

He always was careful to warn people of things, whether or not it was his business. A nosy dragon he had always been, and even thirty years could not change his ways. His attention swung back to Tassana, to whom he gave a fang-filled smile.

" Ah yes.. I remember dining with you so long ago. I recall you are an excellent cook. I am only good for making the fires. I do have a recipe for roasted Elf that is most divin....... Oh dear... I forgot it's improper to dine on Elves.. Not that I can't think of a few of the nasty beasties that don't deserve it.. "

He snorted some, sending a cool mist out of his nostrils. His dislike for Elves had still continued after all these years. It would be very hard for him to forgive the Elven race, considering what they had cost him so many ages ago. That was another chapter of his story now, one Tassana might or might not remember.

OOC: Tassana, how old is Zynx? I mean, child, preteen, teen, young adult? Calista would be a young teen by this time. But, I think I might have her come in... at least give her mother something to do...

BIC: Calista decided to visit her old home, Fernwood. She'd already went to see her father, who was hard at work in his mageware shop. Matthiass had told her that her mother was in town as well, visiting Tassana. He told her that Tassana's home was on the outskirts of the village, and Calista decided that she would go to see both her mother and the kender she'd looked up to.

As she often did when in any mortal place, she transformed to her mortal form, a teenaged half-elf with long, wavy aurburn hair and large silver eyes. Her skin was tan and the dress she wore fit her well. The color of the dress seemed to change at its own will, currently is was a sparkling, deep blue.

She walked quickly towards Tassana's home, running into a group of people on her way. "I am sorry," she said in her quiet, yet enchanting way. "I did not mean to disturb thee..." Then she noticed Tassana and smiled broadly. "Tassana! How good it is to see thee!"

"I do not place my trust in logic. I place my trust in my power. And myself. For I was taught that trusting others can be your downfall. Unfortunately, for many it is true. But not for others, thank the gods," She smiled at Tassana, but her smile faded back into her not-meaning-to-be-intimating-but-was-anyway glance as she turned back to Atma, "Yes, you are correct. I like you. But, although logic is untrusting, is it is also the most stable. There will always be four sides to a rectangle. Magic, however, is rather unstable, on the contrary. Could blow up in your face. But, both have ups and downs."

"Yes, let us eat something. I'm posistively starving. Or negatively starving. Who knows? I could think of too many negative things to be starving for so let's just go with posistively starving."

As the half-elf girl sprawled in, ANkh couldn't see straight for a second, and there was a pink blob near the girl. She focused, and the visions split. A dragon. Only one half-elf she knew was a dragon and said 'thee'.

He stood about 5'3. He had black and silver hair. His eyes were the same shade of green. He was lean, like all elves. His skin was dark, but at the same time was still the flesh colour of elves.

"Calista?"

Calista blinked lazily at Ankh for a moment, trying to place the voice she heard. It reminded her of someone from when she was younger, though she could not put a face to it. "Yes, Madam. That is my name. May I ask who thou might be?" She asked curiously.

Then she heard Calista. She swung around and hugged the dragonelf. "It is so good to see you, Calista. My, how you've grown! Last time I saw you, you were still a child. And now..."

Calista hugged the kender with a smile, looking down for the first time at the kendermaid she had admired as a child. "Many things may change in thirty years, Lady Tassana, even for dragons!" She said smiling, still in awe, realizing how much she really had grown.

Zynx looked at the girl curiously. He could smell the dragon, but she didn't look like a dragon. It took him a second to realize she was "in form." He then smiled to himself and changed his own form. Where there was a black and silver dragon, there was now a young elfman.

Calista looked at the hybrid dragon for long seconds before she made a reply. The only hybrids she'd ever seen were her parents and herself, and had certainly never entertained the idea of a Silver/Black. But she soon got over this, smiling cordially. She bowed regally, as her mother had taught her, and smiled at the dragon-elf before her. "It is a pleasure to meet thy acquaintance. I am called Calista in the mortal tongue, and Calistanoanlikathlik to dragons." She said smiling.

Tassana smirked. She could tell right away that the black/silver dragon liked Calista. "Well, we had better get back to the house then," she said and with that, she slid her hand on Atma's arm and started to lead the way through the garden.

Calista took her eyes from Zynx's enchanting green ones long enough to hear Tassana mention her home. "Yes, I would like to see thy home, and hopefully my Mother as well, if she is still there." She said, waiting for Zynx to move towards the house before she did likewise.

Calista took her eyes from Zynx's enchanting green ones long enough to hear Tassana mention her home. "Yes, I would like to see thy home, and hopefully my Mother as well, if she is still there." She said, waiting for Zynx to move towards the house before she did likewise.

"You have a dragon name too?" Zynx asked. He bowed his head sorrowfully his long hair falling over his shoulders. "I never got one of those. In fact, I never even knew my parents. I was around people until I met Lady Tassana, Coby, and Tinsel. Coby and Tinsel are the only ones I had ever known as my kind. Until that is I met your mother. And now I have met you."

The dragon perked up. "And you are quite beautiful, if you don't mind my being frank. Would you mind my escorting you to the house?"

The dragon held his arm out for her to take.

Tassana shook her head again. Leave it to Zynx, was all she could think to herself.

Calista frowned slightly. "Well, my mortal name is derived from my true name, so its not all that bad. What happened to thy parents? `Tis a terrible thing to never know from wilst thee came. And to be quite honest, I have met precious few of our kind as well. I know my parents, Tinsel, I knew Coby before he disappeared, and now I have met thee. I have met a dragmon (OOC2: a dragmon is a dragon/human hybrid), but that is about it." She said, rather nonchalantly.

When Zynx mentioned her beauty, Calista blushed brightly. "I thank thee for such a kind comment, though I do not see myself that way. My Mother, however," she said smiling. "Now she is truly beautiful. And if thee do not mind my being frank, thou art nothing to scoff at thyself." She blushed again, unused to making or recieving comments of this kind. She was not used to being with anyone near her own age either, which did not help her.

"No good sir," Calista said, slipping her arm through Zynx's. "I would not mind at all. I would rather enjoy thy company." She said, pulling her arm further through Zynx's, and so bringing herself closer to her fellow hybrid dragon.

Bini glared at the gully dwarf, and then turned back to the room. He sighed and decided to go exploring. he walked backoutside, gully dwarf in tow, and began hunting around the grounds of the house.
He stopped, awestruck when he came across the fountain of the three gods of magic.
"So Beuatiful.." He muttered. Even the gully dwarf was moved.
"Me like red one." It said matter of factly.
"Yes Lunitari is one of my favorites too." Bini smiled, feeling a warm spot in his hear. He wished he could meet a god, or rather a goddess. But she was a facual goddess of magic, she wouldn't be as fun as Fizban.
He shrugged and grabbed the gullydwarf by the hand, and walked back into the house.
"Still nothing interestiing going on in here. where Did Tassana and The wierd man go anyway? We have to figure out a way to send you back." He looked to Abfall.
"Me no want go back. It smelly and dumb." The gullydwarf muttered, crossing it's arms and legs. The gullydwarf walked up to the children and gazed at them intently.
"Young humans. Clean. Yucky." It said, smudging them with some dirt.
"That better. Now you fit to be gullydwarf!"

Zynx smiled as he took Calista's arm into his. He walked proudly to the house.

Tassana laughed at Ankh's comment. "Looks like another Saegle and Selina to me," she said, delighted.

The two children giggled as the gully dwarf smudged them with dirt. Though their father didn't find it too funny. He picked up his son and started to wipe the dirt away, only to have the small boy wipe it on his father's face. Saegle raised an eyebrow and the little boy giggled.

The demigod finished cleaning his son and picked up his daughter for the same treatment. The little girl seemed less easy than the boy. She kept squirming until she was finally clean and allowed back down. Then the demigod looked at the gully dwarf and said in a way the gully dwarf could understand, "You dirty them with dirt, I dirty you with blood."

Brightsky looked up at this statement. It surprised the pegasus to hear such a threat come from the demigod.

Indeed, the pegasus was not the only one to seem surprised. Tinsel and Coby looked at Saegle as well.

"Abfall not want blood. Have enough of own." The gully dwarf pulled out a dead rat and hit it on the ground.
"Ratski say be nice to Abfall or else he eat you." Abfall turned around and walked over to one of the paintings.
"Pretty." Abfall mentioned, walking past them.
"Abfall?" The Kender ventured. It looked at Bini and growled.
"Abfall. Sit! Stay!"
Abfall blinked. "Me not dog. Me go up stairs." It walked back over to the mean man.
"You go upstairs with abfall." It said, poiting the dead rats bottom at him as if it were a sceptre.

Selina's eyes shot to Saegle's as he uttered the statement to the gully dwarf who had muddied Alia and Alisha.

Since the other people were around as well as the children, Selina thought the mental approch was best. Walking up to her husband with a smile, she carressed his cheek. Looking into his eyes, she used her emotions to speak to him.

Saegle, Bini meant nothing by muddying the kids. He was just playing. Look how the children enjoyed the play. A little dirt means nothing to children, love. Have no worries, if anything became a real threat to our family, we would take care of it.

She smiled lovingly at him as she continued her message.

,But as long as they are safe, let them have their fun. All it could mean at most is a bath for them. Let them have their fun, we'll clean them up, and maybe we'll have our fun.

She finished her message by kissing Saegle on the lips, letting her last statement hang in his mind.

Alia came up to his father and Saegle patted him on the head. Alia went for another one of Saegle's daggars and started playing with it in the same manner as his father. Only, Alia took the bottom of his tunic to polish the daggar.

Tinsel looked horrified at the site of the three year old playing with a sharp daggar. "Don't you find that to be dangerous, Saegle? The boy could cut off his hand."

The demigod chuckled, "No he can't. I put a spell on it that wouldn't allow it to do that. The worst that can happen is he'll suffer a small cut here or there, but nothing deep or serious... I do that with all my weapons when they are within reach. It makes them useless in a fight, but good practice for the child."

The silver dragon shook her head.

"The boy has to learn sometime. Might as well start him young," was all the demigod said.

"Me don't like you." It said Plainly to Saegal. "You bad bad man. You evil one reborn." It nodded it's head up and down. Bini covered Abfall's mouth.
"Can it." Bini said gritting his teeth, casting an innocent smileat Saegal. "Before he gets mad."
"He no get mad. He be mad." Said the Gully dwarf. It walked up and stared at the mans daggers.
"Shiny." It said pointing at one of the daggers. "Like Moon."
"I'll give you a moon." Muttered Bini between sealed lips. "And maybe you'll see stars too.." The kender was normally very happy go lucky. He didn't know what was going on. The gully dwarf made him... Angry. He held the marble in his hand and pointed the front of it at the Gully Dwarf.
"Begone." He said.
Nothing happened.
"Vamanos!" The kender shouted.
Still Nothing.
"Stupid Gnome rigged contraption." Muttered Bini. Blessed Fizban, he couldn't figure out how to get himself out of this one.
The Gully dwarf pulled back out the dead rat and placed it at it's feet.
"Ratski, dinner." It said.
The rat just laid there. The Gully dwarf looked up at Saegle innocently.
"You look otherway for minute?" It asked innocently.

Selina noted her husbands cool reactions to her affections, but quickly covered the hurt in her eyes as she sat down with Alisha.

Watching on as Saegle and Alia worked with their daggers, Selina took the time to play with their daughter. Placing her hands over her own eyes, the elfmaid pretended she couldn't find the little girl. As Alisha looked around, Selina took her hands away from her face with a "There's my girl!" causing the child to giggle.

Tassana smirked. She could tell right away that the black/silver dragon liked Calista. "Well, we had better get back to the house then," she said and with that, she slid her hand on Atma's arm and started to lead the way through the garden.

He did not bother to reraise his hood and hide his Draconian face. Since Tassana knew, he guessed it would not be too big of a deal to the others at the house. Even so, he felt a cold feeling in the pit of his stomach, one that was bad enough to make him briefly shut his yellow eyes. Rejection was never a feeling he enjoyed or cared for.

Even though his steps never paused, nor wavered, he was nervous inside over this mess. His pain was like a picked rose, the beautiful petals fallen from the tip, leaving a mass of thorns within. His world over the years had lost that beauty, wilted, leaving him bloody from where the thorns of reality had pricked his fingers. Ironic though it was that his scaled hands would have little to fear from thorns.

He semi-followed/semi led Tassana to the door of the house, gently looking at the doorknob as thought it might swallow him whole.

" I have faced many swords and spells of terrible might, but never in all my years have I had butterflies in my stomach, such as now. I risk my head to put my heart at ease, yet will I find both cut off? "

What I might find to be the most beautiful thing on Krynn, someone else might find no beauty in it at all. `Tis all perception, I suppose. But pray tell, thou knowest my mother?" She said the last with a curious look, still unsure of whom she spoke.

"Looks like another Saegle and Selina to me," she said, delighted.

Calista blushed and lowered her head, hearing Tassana's words. She then looked shyly over at Zynx and grinned. "Come, I would like to see my Mother! I haven't in such a long time!" She exclaimed, skipping ahead of Tassana and Ankh, with Zynx in tow.

Airiana sat quietly in the rocking chair by the fire, rocking back and forth. She smiled at the antics of the gully dwarf with Selina and Saegle's children, but shook her head, frowning, at Saegle's response. Such a temper still! She thought to herself with a sigh. I guess some things will never change.

About that time, Calista, not thinking of the fact that Tassana should be in her home before Calista came in for the first time, burst through the door. She grinned at Zynx, "Com'mon, let's see Mother."

When Airiana saw her daughter, she stopped rocking. Even since the last time that she had seen her daughter, Calista had grown. Airiana stood with the aid of the armrests of her chair and smiled at her daughter, arms outstretched. "Calista!" She exclaimed as she embraced her daughter. "I did not expect to see thee here!"

Saegle shrugged off the comments of the gully dwarf and kender. Better to leave them both to their own misery. He continued to play with his daggar.

As they got to the door, Tassana put her hand on the knob and turned it, pushing the door open. The kender had completely forgot Selina's hatred for draconians. She also forgot Atma's dislike for elves. She burst into the room. "Everyone! I found out what was wrong with Atma. He's been turned into a draconian!"

Tinsel and Coby however, did not forget. They looked at each other nerviously and then looked at Atma and then to Selina uneasily. Brughtsky, too, did not forget. The pegasus stood up. He did not know what he could do, but he would try to help as best he could.

Saegle jumped from his sitting position and immediately drew his blade. His eyes glowed red and his teeth sharpened. "Wretched lizard monster!" he growled.

Alia, not really comprehending what was going on, stood up and held his blade. Imitating his father.

Zynx stared into the room. He had been so wrapped up in Calista, it took him a second to realize Saegle's challenge to Atma. When he did realize it, he became defensive and angry. He changed back to his dragonform, only this time he made himself large enough to be a threat, but small enough to fit properly in the house. "You will die, Demigod, before you ever even get near him. My breath is a mixture of ice and acid and will both freeze and poison you in mere seconds," the dragon snarled.

Tassana at first was shocked. When she realized what was going on, she went completely blank.

When Selina saw her mother come back into the house, she stood up and smiled, sitting Alisha on a cushoned chair. She approached her mothet and Atma smiling.

Then Tassana's words sunk in and she stopped. Looking at Atma, the Kagonesti Mage paled, stuck in a memory.

They surrounded her, 5 of them, large and menacing. Before she could run, they were on her. Knocking her down, they tore at her clothes and body. Smacked her when she struggled. Smacked her into unconsiousness. When she woke, she was beaten, bleeding and sore. The woman felt pain more intense then an elf her size should ever feel. They had violated her, touched her in a way thay made her skin crawl. She screamed a heart-wrenching scream.

"You're a Draconian" Selina stated to Atma in calm Kagonesti tongue, forgetting that only Saegle knew how to speak her elven language now. And only Saegle would know that her calm voice meant anything but calm.

Pale, and with a frozen smile on her lips, Selina Silverwing DarkTime shook with fear.

He was quite taken aback by the scene that befell his eyes. People he barely knew were leaping up into arms against him, and speaking words of hate for him. This was what he feared would happen. However, he noted his friends were not speaking against him, which was a small comfort to him, even if they did seem to be acting strangely.

His comfort would not last long, nor would it return for awhile. For at that time Selina caught his gaze and his attention. Both eyes narrowed to dangerous slits, his tongue flirting out slightly, the sign of an agitated reptile. While he couldn't know of what had happened to her, he did have his own past to contend with. In his mind, this scene played once more, a scene that would seem to forever haunt him.

Many creatures were there that day, both the Elves and Drow on their traitors dragons. It was a battle for a faraway land, a place whose name was lost to the midst of time. The Elves had armed themselves with those cruel lances, weapons which would slice through a dragons scales as through a sword on cloth.

Many screams came from both sides as their numbers fought. The stench of blood everywhere. The clouds were tinted red that day, from all the droplets of blood that had fallen.

Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw a young female dragon engaged with a drow general. However, to his horror, he saw another Drow speeding towards her with a lance held out. He didn't even have time to roar a warning before the Drow's lance pierced her heart. With saddned, shocked eyes, he watched his mate fall to the ground, the body making a sickening thud on the ground below.

Rage filled him like never before. He sped to the Drow's side and ripped the arm with the lance off and hurled it to the ground. The Drow next found himself in the claws of a very angry silver dragon.

His rage caused him to use his breath, freezing many Drow and Elves to death in a short amount of time. He didn't even spare the dragons they rode on, considering them to be traitors. He drug the Drow he had captured back to his home, and did unspeakable things to it.

When his mind cleared, he spoke in Dragonic, a not so friendly greeting.

" Elf. "

The dragon man then watched her tremble, not caring one whit of the fear she felt. This was his more dark side, and only his friends knew of the pain he had within.

Still half trapped in her memory of the night she had been raped by the Draconians, Selina shook even more when she heard the venom in Atma's vioce.

Logically, she hoped her mother's friend would not hurt her. Emotionally all she saw was the same type of being who had ruined her life.

She didn't know wether to be terrified or enraged.

On instinct, Selina muttered a few words. A glowing red shield went up around her. A sheild that would protect her until Tassana or Saegle could explain what the hell was going on.

He saw the magic shield go up around her, but at the flash of the spell, he couldn't tell if it was an attack spell, or a defensive one. He braced himself the best he could, taking a defensive stance. Already, little tufts of mist were coming out of his nostrils, showing his increasing tenseness. He couldn't use his breath in here, otherwise he might harm one of his friends, but instead, he shifted his hand to just under his cloak, to a silver colored sword that lay there on his side. His voice switched to common, though there was a hiss in its tone.

" What are you doing, Elf? Do not attempt to snare me with sorcery, or you shall taste my blade! "

Currently he trusted Elves about as much as a person would trust leaving a bag of gold alone in a room full of drunken Kenders. But perhaps it was a bit of fear as well, causing his reaction. His claws clanked along the hilt of the blade, his eyes not leaving the Elf woman.

" Would someone care to explain to me what in the abyss is going on here? "

As much as he was enraged, he was confused. He had yet to notice Tassana's blank state due to that state of chaos in the room.

Callia looked at her father. She too had drawn a sword and held it menicingly towards Saegle. She would protect the draconian. But she didn't know about involving the what seemed to be innocent elf. Afterall, her mother was raised by elves.

"Father, you think this wise?" she whispered in Undercommon.

"Hush, Wench," he ordered back in Undercommon, "This is my one chance to make some type of amends with the draco. Don't mess it up."

Callia lowered her sword slightly. "Don't you dare call me a wench!" she hissed in the same tongue. She then realized her slight release and rose her sword back up. She scowled, "Were it not for myself and the Black Widow, you would've died long ago. So, you hush!"

The drow ignored his daughter. He had more important things on his mind than petty arguments with her. He pressed the dagger a little harder on the elf and squeezed her hands. "Don't you even think about escape. Your little husband cannot help you either."

Callia, keeping one eye on Saegle, looked around her. This was certainly one eventful reunion. She smirked.

This was a very twisted incident in his mind. He absolutely hated Calyrin, and he disliked the other Elf. In this position, he could kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. A well controlled ice blast should take care of both, he thought to himself. Revenge on the species that had hurt him so badly!

However, there was another side to it. As much as he hated Calyrin, and disliked the Elf, this was Tassana's home. His honor would not allow him to harm a female in cold blood either, even more so a guest of Tassana. He would let a small roar out before speaking, enraged that Calyrin would insult Callia and pull such a cowardly deed.

" There is no honor in taking a foes life by such trechery. Even now -Drow- you prove your true nature to me. If she shall fall through my will, it will not be through an Assassin's blade, but from honorable combat. I do not take kindly to those that turn on their own family either. "

His eyes shown with more anger now, anger that Calyrin would dare pull this in Tassana's home. His senses picked up the fire in the room. Oh lovely.. He decided to see if his power over flames remained. His face took on a look of concentration, building up the energy required to summon the flames over. The fire quivered a moment, then a small ball of flame lept from the hearth, hurling over to the seat of Calyrin's pants. The flames would dance there and begin to spred. If not treated carefully, the fire could lead to burns in an awkward area.

Saegle's eyes now glistened red. His teeth bared. Yet he could do nothing with his sister standing there. He would have to fight her. There was no other way out of it.

But, there was. Tassana, more angry than she had ever been in her entire life, called upon all three of her gods. With words loud enough for all in the home to hear.

Weapons turned into red hot steel. Fire turned to water. A muzzle fit itself over Zynx's snout. The elfmaid was released.

The kender looked at them all in disgust. "I cannot believe you would do this in my home. I should throw all of you out right now. Now sit down and calm your nerves. We can discuss this rationally like the adults we all are. Instead of behaving like a group of kender and gully dwarves."

Saegle, his hand burning from the sword, sat down immediately. Alia started crying, for his hand as well was burned from the daggar. Zynx started to fight with the muzzle. He did not like it at all.

Then, the small dragon thinking himself smart, tried to turn into an elf, only to find he couldn't. The muzzle had a no-magic spell put on it. Zynx lay on the floor muttering to himself in anger. He did not like this muzzle one bit.

" Unhand her now, otherwise I will dine on roasted Drow for dinner this eve. Show respect to females, coward, and may your rear quarters know my fury! "

Selina held herld her breathe, waiting to see if Atma's words were enough for the drow to let her go.

In all honesty, except for the fact she had horrid memories of Draconians, Selina held no grude to Atma personally. When he had first arrived, he had seemed reserved. Almost shy.

If she could get past that he was a Draconian, things would be okay. Or so Selina hoped.

" There is no honor in taking a foes life by such trechery. Even now -Drow- you prove your true nature to me. If she shall fall through my will, it will not be through an Assassin's blade, but from honorable combat. I do not take kindly to those that turn on their own family either. "

Calyrin's eyes widened slightly in surprise. Well, he may be a draconian, but he still has the silver dragon in him, he thought.

" Unhand her now, otherwise I will dine on roasted Drow for dinner this eve. Show respect to females, coward, and may your rear quarters know my fury! "

Calyrin's eyes widened even more as he let go of the girl, cutting her ever so slightly on the neck in his haste. He hurled the girl across the room.

Saegle's eyes now glistened red. His teeth bared. Yet he could do nothing with his sister standing there. He would have to fight her. There was no other way out of it.

Callia readied her sword. This was going to be it. She would kill her brother. Her eyes burned with fiery anticipation.

But, there was. Tassana, more angry than she had ever been in her entire life, called upon all three of her gods. With words loud enough for all in the home to hear.

Weapons turned into red hot steel. Fire turned to water. A muzzle fit itself over Zynx's snout. The elfmaid was released.

Callia dropped her sword and clutched her hand. She had never felt as much pain as she felt now. Her sword still gleemed like molten fire. Calyrin sighed in relief when the fire was put out, though now he had to deal with wet leather breeches.

The kender looked at them all in disgust. "I cannot believe you would do this in my home. I should throw all of you out right now. Now sit down and calm your nerves. We can discuss this rationally like the adults we all are. Instead of behaving like a group of kender and gully dwarves."

Neither had ever heard the kendermaid use that voice when speaking to them. Both the drow and drowkender were so shocked they did as they were told and sat down. They both looked at her in blind amazement. They both waited to hear what she had to say...

He lowered his gaze, almost shamefully. In times like this, yes, he would over react. He also had a flair for the dramatic, which sometimes could be annoying. In the lowest possible voice he could manage, he spoke to Tassana.

" I apologize. I allowed my temper to get the best of me. Please pardon my actions Tassana, as they were meant perhaps for the greater good.."

He shot Calyrin a look so cold that had it been his breath, it would have froze water to the hardness of steel. His gaze turned to Selina, who Calryin so roughly handled. He swallowed his pride for Tassana's sake and spoke.

" I apologize to you as well.. I have not had pleasent dealings with the Elven race. Pardon my hostilities... If I can make it up to you, please let me know.. "

He looked at the floor, and then at Zynx. Surpressing a laugh, he kneeled to the small dragon and patted him on top of the head gently.

" Do not fight it. It could have been much worse. Be glad she did not summon her hoopak, or we would have all had to vacate the room. "

Selina fell to the ground on her knees as Calyrin shoved her away. She watched in shock as all battle in the room stopped at her mothers words and actions.

Wiping the blood from her neck, Selina got up and knelt by her children. Both of them had been friightened by all they had seen. She spoke to them both in quiet tones in Kagonesti elvish.

Looking over at Saegle, she itched to go to him.

"And my apologies for any pain I may have caused you," she offered a bit shakeily, "my times with your.....ones who look as you" she amended, "was not a good one for me. But you are my mother's friend, and my extention, my friend as well."

Still a bit emotional, Selina forgot she was speaking Kagonesti elvish.

While he could speak basic Elvish, he could not speak the more complex variants of the language. Her words made little sense to him. Only a few words that sounded similar to their Elvish counterparts caught his ears.

" I do not speak your language, my apologies. Could you rephrase that in basic Elvish, or Common? "

His tone was polite now, no longer hostile. Being rude to a lady was not in his blood. He tilted his head some to the side, puzzled at what she might have said.

The kender walked around and looked sternly at each one of the troublemakers. She had heard Atma's comment. "If you want, I can still summon it," she said, slyly.

Zynx's eyes widened in horror and his immediately stopped squirming. Atma was right. Better to deal with the muzzle than deal with that hoopak. He looked at Atma and almost whimpered.

It was Tinsel, Coby, and Brightsky's turn to suppress laughter as they watched the small kender deal with all these much larger people. In fact, the one closest to Tas's height was Callia and even the drowkender was tall in comparison.

The kender sneered, "You should all know me better than to think that I would bring harm upon anyone. Especially any in my own family. And yes, each and everyone of you are part of my family. And that includes you, Atma, were you not so hard headed. You want people to accept you? Then you must accept them in return. You know nothing about Selina. You know nothing to judge her by but her race. How would you like it if we were to all judge you by your race?

"And Zynx, you should know better. I realize you want to impress Calista... Find another way in doing so.

"Saegle. My son. Thirty years and you are still the monster you were those years ago. You need to calm yourself. Do you honestly believe I would let something happen to Selina? After I had called her daughter? After I had taken her into my home before you were even born? That may be something your father would do, but I am not he.

"Calyrin. What kind of petty criminal are you? You know, out there when I went to get Atma, I defended you to him. Now you are going to turn me into a liar? Who do you think you are? I have more power and magic in my pinky than you do in your whole body. If I so choose, I can send you straight to the Abyss with a single word.

"Callia. My daughter. Here you have a chance to have a sibling. To be an aunt to your neice and nephew. You used to always talk about having a brother or sister. Well, there you go. Like it or not, Saegle is your brother. Get over it and get to know him for who he is.

"And Selina, dear," the kender softened and spoke in accented Kagonesti. "I know this is hard for you. I know what happened in the past. As I told Atma, do not judge the person by what they look like on the outside. Judge them by what's on the inside. Atma was not born draconian. He was cursed. He was born a silver dragon, like Tinsel and Coby. He is kind and very easy to get along with. Just give him a chance. Try it. You'll see."

The kender then looked around at the now somber group. She smiled kindly. "I love each and every one of you and you all know this. Do not fight in my home. I would really hate to take out the hoopak."

Saegle looked at his mother curiously. He did not know what she had meant by the comment. He remembered that she owned a hoopak, but when did she ever take it out?

But Zynx, Tinsel, Coby, and Brightsky knew what she meant by it. Zynx whimpered again and Tinsel snorted trying to keep her laughter away. That made it so much harder for Coby ad Brightsky to keep from laughing.

Tassana whispered a word of magic. The weapons cooled and the muzzle disappeared. Immediately, Zynx changed into his elven form and walked sheepishly to Calista. "I am terribly sorry for that scene. Lady Tassana was right. I was trying to impress you. Can you forgive me for not thinking?"

The kender smiled at the black/silver dragon and then turned her attention to her son, who was sheathing his sword. And then to Selina. She walked to the elfmaid. "Where have your journeys taken you, my daughter-in-law? Last I had seen you, you knew very little of the Kagonesti ways. Now you speak the language?" she asked in Kagonesti. By her accent, one could tell the kender had learned Kagonesti while living among the Qualinesti.

Looking to Saegle with a smile before turning her green eyes back to Tassana, she continued.

"As for how I learned my native tongue," she explained in common, "after we left Fernwood, Saegle and I went to Wayrenth so I could take my Test. I succeeded and now where the Red Robes of Linitari. Anyway, after that Saegle suggested we go on a quest to find my out who my birth parents."

Zynx's eyes widened in horror and his immediately stopped squirming. Atma was right. Better to deal with the muzzle than deal with that hoopak. He looked at Atma and almost whimpered.

Hearing her say that made him smile. He couldn't help it any longer. Large amounts of laughter came from his lips, the result of Zynx's reaction. The laughter faded when he heard Tassana speak, and guilt replaced the cheery feeling inside.

The kender sneered, "You should all know me better than to think that I would bring harm upon anyone. Especially any in my own family. And yes, each and everyone of you are part of my family. " I understand what you mean, Tassana.. It seems I have once more ended up chewing on my own foot. I will treat her fairly, and try to put my hate aside. "

However, he said nothing of Calyrin.

" I will not harm her, nor will I watch her be harmed. I will treat her as well as I treat any of your guests. "

He turned to face Selina, giving a small bow at the waist. However, he noticed Selina's children. Another tinge of guilt went through him and tears welled in his eyes. He had almost tried to harm their mother, right in front of him. Such was not honorable conduct.

" I deeply apologize.. I did not know your children were present. I did not know you had a family. Oh by the gods.. I am sorry. I would never harm a mother and in front of her family. I am ashamed of my actions. I promise never to rise in anger against you again, not without any reason such as before. I cannot apologize enough. "

He now realized more of the situation, and was horrified. Calyrin had nearly slit their mother's throat right in front of them. He was disgusted and sickened by the thought. He now shot a look at Calyrin that made the previous glance look friendly by comparison. He wasn't one to make threats normally, but he edged over to Calyrin and whispered into his ear.

" If you ever pull such an event again while I am around, I will grab you when you are alone and fly you so high into the air, you'll be able to touch the moons. I'll fly you so high up, not even Tassana's magic will be able to help you. Then I will drop you from there. You will have several minutes before you hit the ground, several minutes to think it over and watch all of Krynn rise up to smack you.. If you survive.. I have a very good receipe for Drow roasted.. Keep that in mind.. "

He let a little hiss, his reptillian tongue brushing against Calyrin's ear. While he might still have his old personality, the kind side, he now had the temper of a Dragonian to deal with. He moved back to Tassana's side and bowed to her.

" I am sorry my friend. Perhaps something to eat would cheer everyone up? "

Pausing in her story, Selina looked at Atma with a tentative smile.

"Our children," she said guesturing to Saegle as well, "were frightening by the events just now but will recover. Like their parents, they are both strong. Ankh watched silently as Tassana threatened (and calmed) everyone down. She was highly impressed.

"I do not mean to critize, but I'm quite amazed by the ability of my closest friends, and the some, to lose their wits so fast. Selina's reaction was of words, acceptable, almost. Your's, demigod, was unnessacery, and I don't know what you hold against Atma, drow, but I will not let you hurt either Atma nor Selina. I am quite a barrier, I assure you. You cannot face me and win."

She bowd once, "But all of you have apologized, and that is the," She turned to Atma and nodded to him, then returned her gaze to everyone else, "Honorable thing to do, and I bear no ill will. Honor is quality that is extraordinarily useful......although you watch those who take advantage of those honorable."

OOC: Just have POST FEST.

I know, lol. 21 posts since the last one I made alone!!! Geezoms, people!

BIC: Calista watched in shock and horror at the goings-on. A draconian, once a silver dragon, threatened Selina! And then the chaos that ensued afterwards, the young hybrid dragon didn't know what to think.

Immediately, Zynx changed into his elven form and walked sheepishly to Calista. "I am terribly sorry for that scene. Lady Tassana was right. I was trying to impress you. Can you forgive me for not thinking?"

Calista's cheeks blazed red with anger for a moment, and in her anger, she fumed at Zynx in Dragonic. "Thee risked thy own life and threatened the lives of others to impress me? What was going through thy mind?" She asked heatedly, ashamed for the other hybrid, thinking of what could have happened.

"But thankfully," she said, calming down. "Thy bravado seemed to not interfere with the main scheme of things, though thee could have gotten thyself and the others killed if thou had persisted. Well enough that I am of a forgiving nature, so yes, I forgive thee. But I charge thee: before thee try such a stunt again, use thy brain first! Thou art a dragon, and as such, a naturally intelligent being! We are, in most cases, far superior in that respect to mortals! Use it!" She said, taking a deep breath and readjusting her beautiful dress, which was now a crimson red, to occupy herself.

Airiana was not sure what to think of the happenings within her friend Tassana's house, but smiled and had to keep herself from clapping when Tas took charge. She may have been a kender, and such the height of one, but she commanded over all the opposing people within her home and received no objections.

When Calista verbally jumped down Zynx's throat in Dragonic, Airiana stood a-gape. Calista had always been able to keep her temper in check, and this outburst startled her mother. But, she thought, sighing to herself. She has changed much since she left Fernwood last. I must, like everyone else, learn who she is now and accept the differences. She is, after all, my daughter.

"A dragon more intelligent then an elemental? I highly doubt that." Ankh replied with a smirk, only half-meaning it, "Particularry because I am older then you and your mother, and your mother's mother. And all the other dragons that walked this world. Or at least him."

Ankh moved from her spot and sat down in a chair near Selina and Saegle, pondering, "But then if only he is then I would only be half his age.....oh, whatever."

After I had called her daughter? After I had taken her into my home before you were even born? That may be something your father would do, but I am not he.

Saegle's eyes reddened at his mother's mention of his father. Thirty years and he has not heard about his father. The mere thought of his father made his blood boil. His snorted and took out one of his many daggars. He started playing with the daggar and remained quiet throughout the rest of his mother's speech. Leave it to her to tell him off way before his sister.

And that was another thing that worked his nerves. She seemed to easy on Callia. Much more easy on Callia than she was on him. Saegle felt the pangs of sibling rivalry work through his blood. Again, he said nothing.

" I am sorry my friend. Perhaps something to eat would cheer everyone up? "

"You are right, my friend. Let me go into the kitchen and see if the food is ready," the kender said.

Tassana disappeared into the kitchen but still listened to the ongoings in the common room.

"I am sorry, Lady Calista," Zynx said, truly hurt. Though he knew he deserved every word. He bowed his head in shame. "I will understand if you are no longer interested in me. I know I deserve your disgust. I deserve worse than that."

The dragon then started walking to the table and he say in a chair. The chair immediately conformed to him. He kept his head bowed.

Tassana came out of the kitchen at that moment with an arm full of dishes. "Callia, Saegle? Help me set the table," she said as she put the dishes on the table.

Saegle got up and sheathed his daggar. He then walked to the table and took some of the plates and began putting them in front of the chairs. He tipped his head in the direction of a chair at the table. "Get the children set up and ready to eat, will you, Beloved?"

OOC:I realize some of this post is a bit late. (Ei, Saegle's reaction to Tas's anger.) I just couldn't think about how it should've been responded to at the time. And I thought this was better than the "Take it all well" approach. Besides, I think this is how he would respond to such words.

The black/silver dragon perked up and smiled at Calista. "You're not disgusted with me?" He seemed very happy about this finding. His self-esteem rose even higher when she asked him about love. "Of course I believe in love at first sight. I believed in it the moment I saw you. Course I believed in it before that. Tinsel and Coby loved each other from the moment they met. At least, that's what they told me."

He then thought about it. "You love me, Calista?" Saying her name made his blood tingle with excitement. He closed his eyes and swallowed, feeling the lump of emotion in his throat. He wanted to say her name again and again and again. But he kept "cool" and opened his eyes, gleaming at her.

You are hot-headed. That is a personality trait, not an insult. Merely a negative trait. You should work on it. And regardless, none of us would let any harm to come to either of you. Saegle, nearly finished with the plates, looked at Ankh. "I did not say that to mean you insulted my wife or myself. I meant it as a general statement. Atma had insulted my wife. In doing so, he also insulted me. So, there you have it," he said.

Saegle got up and sheathed his daggar. He then walked to the table and took some of the plates and began putting them in front of the chairs. He tipped his head in the direction of a chair at the table. "Get the children set up and ready to eat, will you, Beloved?"

"Of course." Selina replied with a smile that once again sparkled in her eyes.

Selina whispered something to Alia and the boy nodded and smiled. Kissing his mother on the cheek before he jumped of her lap, he made a beeline for the kitchen sink to wash his hands.

Selina chuckled as she picked Alisha up and followed him.

Getting the infant and the toddler washed up for dinner was quite an ordeal. However, except for being a bit wet, both Mother and children were soon ready to sit down for dinner. Selina got the baby settled in her seat (basically a highchair) and lifted Alia into one of the empty chairs. The boy sat in quiet respect as he watched his grandmother, father, and aunt help to prepare the table. Alisha sat in her highchair grabbing at everyone's clothes as they walked by.

Selina kissed Saegle on the cheek lightly as she picked up the preparations as well. When everything was set, she sat down at the table.

Pausing in her story, Selina looked at Atma with a tentative smile.

"Our children," she said guesturing to Saegle as well, "were frightening by the events just now but will recover. Like their parents, they are both strong. It is true you could have hurt me, Atma, but you didn't. As long as you are welcome in my Mother's home, I will welcome you and call you friend."

" I thank you for your kindness. I will do my best to earn that friendship and not betray it. "

He gave a low bow at the waist. Back in the day, he could be almost as polite as a knight. However that very fact had often led to him trying to help people who didn't want, or need his help. It would often be comical to watch him try to help and see his confused reaction when the person in question would try to get rid of him. While he could be slightly nosy, his heart was in the right place. At least this time he hadn't ended up having to deal with any foul ancient relics. His gaze swung to Ankh when he heard her speak.

" There are many who would indeed take advantage, but at the same time, I cannot stop my actions. If good gave way to evil's whims, what would become of Krynn? If honor vanished for fear of those who would manipulate, then evil would loose one of its greatest foes. All that can be hoped is those with honor can be strong enough to deal with those who practice deceit, " He paused for a moment to think his next words over, " However, evil is just as vunrable to its own tricks. It's often those practice darkness that find it revisited upon themselves later. "

"A dragon more intelligent then an elemental? I highly doubt that." Ankh replied with a smirk, only half-meaning it, "Particularry because I am older then you and your mother, and your mother's mother. And all the other dragons that walked this world. Or at least him."

Her next comment hit him with a sense of ironic feeling. Yes, she was older than many of the dragons that walked Krynn. However, he wasn't one of the native dragons, was he? He had only vaguely explained his origins to Tassana, and even then he hadn't went into details. There was a lot strangeness about him, the fact that evil in the past had once controlled him, and dark magic had so easily warped him. He was a good metallic dragon, or at least that was what Krynn called them. Dark magic wouldn't effect a normal dragon so much, would it? Besides, there weren't many silvers who used flame, along with ice. He declined to comment on that, but realized his past might make an interesting story for his companions later.

"You are right, my friend. Let me go into the kitchen and see if the food is ready," the kender said.

Tassana disappeared into the kitchen but still listened to the ongoings in the common room.

He gave her a smile and turned to face look at everyone else again. He had been standing like a statue there for awhile. It wasn't exactly easy for him to sit due to his tail, but he improvised, sitting down while crossing his legs. His tail lay flat behind him, twitching on the floor. It would be a tempting target for any cats, or small dragons that happened to see it twitching there. His smile vanished somewhat when he heard Saegal speak of him insulting Selina. He didn't comment however, as not to stir up more trouble.

Hearing someone address him, he glanced up at Selina and smiled, nodding slowly.

" I will be, should Tassana allow me to join. I haven't had the honor to join anyone at a table in awhile. "

Draconians were not normally permitted to join others at dinner tables. Perhaps that was due to a fear of the hosts being on the dinner plate. Inns and the places like that considered it to be bad for business to upset the custormers. As such, he had been often forced to eat outside, if the innkeeper could find out his species.

There was a knock on the door at that time. It seemed another hooded stranger had walked up. However, this stranger wore a cloak of Elven make. A very fine one. It was embroidered with green leaves, and soft grass tones. It looked so vibrant and alive that one could almost smell the forest. The back of the cloak had a design on it traced in golden thread. The crest of Qualinesti. Whoever this was, he seemed to be an Elf.

OOC: How does Atma know what Ankh is? That's not something Atma knows. ANkh said that an elemental is older then a dragon but didn't say she was one...?

Ankh pulled back a chair and sat down, "We would be honored. Quite a varied bunch, I'd say." She looked through the ranks. They had a drow, a drowkender, a kender, elf, a demigod, six dragons, a draconian, and a bunch of little kids of various races."

In fact, when she had become powerful enogh, she had sewn the runes of protection and defensive on her Red Robes herself by hand before empowering them. The runes were of silver.

She had also made all her children's clothing.

Getting up from the table, Selina made her way to the door.

"Welcome," she greeted the elf.

The Elf at the door was surprised for a moment, seeing Selina. There was a moment of silence, since he had expected Tassana to answer the door. It confused him as to whether this was Tassana's home or not. However, he would never be rude in the presence of a lady, regardless of whether he knew her or not. He gave a half bow at the waist before speaking to her in the Qualinesti language.

" Forgive me, dear lady, I was not aware this was your home. I was searching for the residence of the Kendermaiden, Tassana Burrfoot. "

His accent was one of someone who had read much of the ancient writings. It was the voice of someone cultured and refined in the arts. He remembered his manners and reached a leather gloved hand for his hood, lowering it down as so not to rudely hide his face from her.

His face was lightly tanned, as though he had spent much time traveling around Krynn, and had saw much in his travels. They always say you can tell an Elf's race by his facial features, but this man was different. His face was a tad to strong for the gentle features of an Elf. However, he seemed to have the gentle Qualinesti shape to his face, but more refined Kagonesti features. It gave it a strong quality, and it had a look to it that made you want to almost trust him. He had an air of autority around him, the aura of someone who might be important, though he would never flaunt the fact. Both light brown almond eyes focused on her, as he bowed once more.

" I am known as Silthan, son of Gilthas and the Lioness. I offer my humble apologies for my intrusion, if it has disturbed you from your rest. "

While many would see this as a bit snooty, Silthan was very sincere. He didn't say words just to look good, his voice had a quality in it that held the tone of truth. He looked down on the elves that would say one thing, while mean another inside.

Selina smiled at the elf.

"Make no apologies, Sithan. This is the home of the one you seek. Tassana Burrfoot is my friend and mother-in-law. My name is Selina Silverwing-DarkTime," she introduced herself in smooth Quailnesti which her mother had taught her, "We are just about to sit for a meal. Would you cre to join us?"

Once more he bowed lightly at the waist, gently standing tall again to step into the house. Once inside, he unfastened his cloak and hung it on a rack nearby. His outfit was one of a traveler. Leather breeches, a finely colored black shirt, covered by a deep brown leather vest. At his side, he wore a sword of unknown Elven make. All that could be seen clearly of it was the golden hilt, shaped like a Dragon's neck and head. The hilt had a blood red stone set into each of the eyes. He undid the sword and laid it upon a table. Being in the company of friends he did not want to offend anyone by carrying it. A leather strap across his chest secured a quiver of arrows and a bow. He reached and undid it, laying those on the table as well. The last thing he removed was his gloves, the leather riding guantlets he wore most of the time. With all this finished, he turned to face Selina after glancing around at the occupents.

" Indeed. It would honor me very much to dine here, in the company of friends and such fair maidens. I have not had the pleasure of such company in many moons, and it is wonderful to be among friends now. "

He had saw Calyrin and the other Drow, but he did not seem to hate them like most other Elves would. He was different, more understanding than most. He wouldn't hate unless given a reason to and be left with no alternative.

Selina smiled at Silthan's calm manner.

"Then, of course, dine with us."

She led the way back to the table. She wasn't sure what to do next. It seemed rude just to sit down...so she started with introductions.

"This is my husband Saegle and our children Alia and Alisha, our friends Ankh, airiana and her daughter Calista, Brightsky, Coby, and Tinsel, my sister-in-law Callia, her father Calyrin, and Zynx, Atma...and of course, you know my mother Tassana."

Each name was spoken with love and respect.

Brightsky looked at the elf and smiled. *Silthan,* he said, knowing the elf. *Lady Tassana will be pleased to see you. As am I.*

Tassana walked into the room carrying a tray with sizzling bacon, scrambled eggs, cinnomin carrots, buttery corn, and buttermilk biscuits. She placed these on the table and walked back into the kitchen.

She returned carrying a large roasted venison. This she placed in the center. Then she announced, "Dinner is ready."

She looked up and saw Silthan. Before anyone could say anything, her arms were wrapped around his waist. She looked up at him. "It is so good to see you, my friend," she said in Qualinesti. "How is your father? Your mother? I haven't seen nor heard from them in a very long time."

He smiled at everyone, looking them all over. It had been thirty years, but he had known some of them before. Some had changed ever so slightly, but they were the people he remembered and loved. He looked at Selina and smiled. He semed to understand she wasn't sure over it, so he tried to set her mind at ease.

" Do not trouble yourself over it, fair Selina. I know many of the people present here. You should sit and relax yourself. I can handle myself. "

He kept his tone gentle and warm enough to melt ice. Taking a seat at the table, he couldn't help but hear a, " Hmph" sound from Atma. He said nothing, knowing how Atma felt about his kind. It puzzled him why Atma had changed, but he did not say anything of it.

Atma stood from the floor and moved to the table. As luck would have it, he was stuck near Silthan. Silently cursing the dark goddess to himself, he sat by the Elf, carefully tucking his tail behind him.

" Tassana, " Atma spoke, " what have you prepared for us this eve? "

Silthan merely smiled, knowing the Dragonman would rather hurl himself off of a cliff as easily as he would sit by an Elf. Atma did remember Tassana's words, and kept himself somewhat nice. Silthan grated on his nerves a bit due to jelousy. The Elf was obviously prettier than him, which sort of poured salt onto his wounded pride.

"Worry not, my love. I belong only to you body, mind, and soul. You and the children are my reason for living."

Silthan smiled, hearing Brightsky's words. He gave a bow of his head and spoke softly, " Thank you for remembering all these years who I am. I look forward to seeing Lady Tassana. "

He didn't have to wait long. Before he could say more, he noticed Tassana just before she hugged him. A wider smile crept over his lips, and he seemed to relax greatly, seeing her in good health.

" My Father has been busied with the Dwarves on the construction of New Qualinost. The city should be finished within the next fifty years. Mother has been spending time with her clan. So far the relations between the Kagonesti and the Qualinesti Elves have been fruitful. It hasn't been all forest days, I'm sad to say. However that is a story for another time. How have you been, dear Tassana? My mother and father still tell tales of you to our people. "

Atma's eyes went wide seeing all the food. Back when he had been a dragon, he had had huge cravings for food. Now that he was a Draconian, he was ravaged with cravings, more often than not live prey. He looked at Tassana, trying not to frown because she was hugging the Elf.

" It looks wonderful Tassana! You still cook excellently! "

Okay, I know this was from a while back, but…

IC:

"A dragon more intelligent then an elemental? I highly doubt that." Ankh replied with a smirk, only half-meaning it, "Particularly because I am older then you and your mother, and your mother's mother. And all the other dragons that walked this world. Or at least him."

Calista looked at Ankh for a moment and then smiled curiously. "Well, to my recollection, elementals are immortal, not mortal, madam, and I said mortals. Though I am a bit curious, if thee do not mind my asking… when and where didst thee learn Dragonic? It is not an easy language to master, and is far from a usual one for many others, aside from dragons themselves, to know."

"No, Zynx… I am not disgusted with thee." She said with a smile and a shake of her head, which made her long, auburn hair swish lazily about her shoulders. When he asked if she loved him, Calista was not sure what to answer. Was this wonderful feeling love? It had certainly stirred in her the moment she laid eyes on Zynx, and it was obvious that his feelings for her could easily be termed love. She smiled broadly and took Zynx's hand in hers. "Yes… I believe I do."

When their names were mentioned, both Airiana and Calista looked up and smiled. Calista was, however, preoccupied with Zynx, and so did not do much more than murmur a kind greeting in Qualinesti and nod her head.

Airiana, who was on her way to the table, stopped and greeted the elf. "Hello, sir. `Tis nice to make thy acquaintance. As Selina told thee, I am Airiana. How do thee do?" She asked in perfect Qualinesti, though she appeared to be a Silvanesti elf, and put out her hand in greeting.

Bini thought it was quite interesting that ouf of all of the races she should pick to mention she picked the two who had behaved almost impecably. Why not Dragons, or better yet bunch of humans? He shrugged.

-Food-
Abfall jumped up onto the table, drool glistening out of it's mouth.
"Me famished!" It shouted, looking to Saegle's plate. "Yum!" It said, slowly inching toward him.
Bini took a more laid back approach and decided to sit near the atma fellow. Bini had neverbeen turned into a Draconian before. He poked at the Dragon Man's arm.
"What does it feel like? Being turned into A Draconian I mean. It's never happened to me before. It seems quite interestng really."

Ankh pressed her lips together in a tight line as she felt him ripple throug her being. She stood up quickly and muttered, "I must be excused." With that, she beat a hasty walk into another of the room, quickly slashing long lines down her arm, shocking her senses, and knocking him back into sleep. The wounds sealed with a bit of healing magic, and hte dagger back into it's sheath. She took several deep breaths and reentered.

"Sorry about that, urgent matter arose. I am Ankh Shadowlark," she bowed, averting her gaze in fear of intimiating the elf, "And I am pleased to make your aquaitence."

She glided over to Selina and whispered briefly in her ear, "the demigod is unspoken name, Selina. You know that."
