The skies cleared as the storm was chased by the winds, the distant thunder rumbled, echoing off of the mountains. The setting sun set the darkened clouds aflame, while the city sparkled with the rain.

Lightning still flashed, but it was a distant threat and no one paid it any mind. Mothers called their children indoors as they played in the puddles. The lights in the tavern glowed invitingly, and the shops pulled their blinds and locked their doors.

Settled on a hill above the main hub of the city was a large castle...Three tall towers rose from its main structure. The gray-veined white marble gleamed red in the light of the setting sun. Thus was the city of Drache, Tucked away in the Kharoliss Mountains.

Standing on the balcony of the tallest tower, was a woman. Her long golden hair fell unfettered, framing her face and shoulders, tumbling in soft waves to her waist. Her blue/violet eyes scanned the town below as she leaned against the railing. Peace had finally settled in this woman’s life, though, at times, it chaffed at her nerves as the anticipation of battle never had.

Lady Drache picked restlessly at the lace sleeve of the silk gown. Even after twelve years she still preferred the soft linen and cured leather of her traveling clothes...and the heavy wool of her cloak.

Her trials and adventures that began eighty-five years ago set her feet on a path that she followed; through the pain and tears of loss and bitter betrayal. The loss still haunted her as she toyed absently with a ring that hung from a chain around her neck... the ring and the pendant it shared the chain with clinked together with the soft chime of gold as the setting sun made them sparkle. The two where identical in design... the Drache family crest... A bright, clear ruby...with an obsidian rose in the center.

“Touga...” Ayeka whispered, the pain in her voice was as sharp as the blade that had torn her brother from this life. She could feel the scar on her left wrist throb with a phantom pain. Pain caused by a slash of a silver-gilt blade she had used in an attempt to save her brother’s life...

“No, it is too late... Let me die in the way of our people...” His voice echoed back to her from the past, and she remembered with a terrible clarity. She had nodded, and recited the ritual words. With tears that burned her cheeks and an anguish that burned her soul, she drained the last of her brother’s blood.

A braided lock of hair was secured with golden bands, securing the dark red strands. A bracelet of his hair, the ring and his blood that coursed in her veins was all that was left of Lord Touga Drache. The Final victim of the infamous cursed one, Taryn.

His rein of terror on her life ended with Touga’s final breath; with the return of her love and her estranged son, Adrian, Ayeka regained her strength and confidence. And peace settled, as it always seemed to do, with the thrust of a silver-edged sword, as her nemesis breathed his last curse upon her name... and the hardened earth drank his blood. The light of the dawn incinerated what remained....

Taryn was dead...

All was right again... Wasn’t it?

Then why did she feel so uneasy? As though disaster waited to strike from just around the next turn?

Ayeka sighed and the wolf that lay in the doorway behind her yawned.

Why worry about dead fleas or the ones that may come? Worry about the ones you have now...they can be dealt with. The wolf sent, and Ayeka smiled at the creature’s broken logic.

“I think that may be my problem, there are no “Fleas”.” She said as she knelt down to scratch Jennah’s scruff.

You want Fleas? Jennah sent, her mismatched blue-green eyes met Ayeka’s

“No you fur-ball.” Ayeka mock-growled, ruffling the white fur. “I think I’m just bored.... I miss traveling.”

She walked into the bedchamber. The canopied bed was draped with gossamer silks in shades of blue, violet and silver. The Drache and Crane family crests gleamed dully above the mantle of the huge fireplace. The fire there glowed brightly, lending the room it’s warmth.

“There you are...” Came a soft, sleep deepened voice.

Alucardt had slipped up behind her and had now wrapped his arms around her lithe form. His long platinum hair brushed her cheek as his lips lowered to her throat. She shivered with the tiny thrill it gave her. He gently traced the line of her pulse with his fingertips.

“What troubles you?” He asked, the velvet compulsion of a full pureblood made her want to answer him. However her own half-blood will was as strong as his.

“Do not worry... I am fine...” She said as she kissed the palm of his hand before stepping away. “Come beloved, we’ll be needed in the court hall soon, there has been news... none good I’m afraid.” She said as the sun finally slipped past the mountains, plunging the city into shadow. His amber eyes met hers and he nodded, and began to dress as she walked out of the room, the white wolf trailing behind her.

Down in the Court Hall, a table was the main piece of furniture. It was huge and held a scaled, dimensional relief map... in near-perfect detail. Created by mages of a nearby Valley... the children of a close friend... Ayeka’s Sh’Endra, Kiri Koli. Twenty years had passed since her friends passing...and she still mourned her loss...

A Glittering ruby marked the location of Drache, and a Sparkling Sapphire marked the Valley. Various other crystals marked the other cities and town of Ansalon. The Lords of Doom seemed to spew real Lava, and the Plains of Dust gave off a shimmer of heat. While the Icy perfection of IceWall didn’t even melt.... All created by magic.

Jadrek and Adrian, Ayeka’s Twin sons stood beside the table, talking in low voices. Adrian, the youngest of the two, was Touga all over again. With his dark Auburn hair and icy blue eyes, he held the Drache legacy in his appearance. He looked up at her when she walked in while his brother gestured to a town.

Jadrek was the image of his father, with long platinum hair held in a loose braid. His blue/violet eyes were filled with concern as he noticed his mother’s appearance.

He was pointing still to the city of Sanction. “The Suspicious murders are happening here. Seven dead so far. Everything points to a Cursed one.” Jade said.

Ayeka stared at the city on the map, sheltered by the Lords of Doom... Sanction, back to where it all began.

OOC: And thus continues the story of Ayeka Drache and her family... Hope you're reading this Ontarys ;) Could use one or two people from the City of Drache itself... the towns people aren't vampires, but normal people.. (Preferably, Ayeka will be in this, so will Alucardt... Jadrek and Adrian will make minor appearances. Could use one or two other villans in this, but Ontarys will hold the main guy ;) I hope. Hehe...hope you like :)

Taryn sat at his desk looking over an ancient book long forgotten. Even after all these years his thirst for knowledge never wained. The steady almost rythmic drumming of the rain could be heard from above. It seemed to add to the calm and even moreso to the dankness of the larg castle.
A roaring fireplace made the room seem ablaze with light but seemed to give lttle warmth. It had been many ages since Taryn had worried over such trivial things as warmth or feelings. A thin fork of lightning struck off in the distance that momentarily caught his attention. He stopped to gaze out the window, out upon Sanction. Much had happened there, he remebered with some anger but also with some relish. For as much pain as he had endured he had so given pain to his enemy as well.

The soft gong of a large ornate clock woke him out of his memory, its constant always even tick tock seemed barely noticable until you remembered it was there. It was still not yet dusk, and he would not go out untl then. One of his "apprentices" had been careless and left behind too much to leave suspion and cause unwanted attention. He would be sure to repremand him later. But for now he had to study upon how to get used to his new body. He took another glance at the book he had been reading. Dark red with gold embroidery and ancient writing that only a few on krynn wuld remember at all. Its pages ancient as they were, were not parched or torn. It seemed as if it had been made the day before, but the knowledges of whole ages past lay written between thos many pages. He spoke aloud the opening inscription...." Reader beware " short simple and to the point. There was noone who could understand the whole of the book now, but he knew what he needed. If he were to try anything more he would go insane.

He gave a slight chuckle "Ha ha! Go insane?! I who have lived for centuries? Faced things that would make the bravest of men cower with fear. "

He gave the book a menacing glare, he wanted to know more............but he was well aware of the consequences to doing so. A knock at the door to his room awoke him from his momentary lapse. He noticed he was doing that a lot now. "Come in"

A tall man entered the room, muscular and not yet in his 30's by the looks of him. He was at least a head taller than Taryn yet he twiched nervously as he spoke. "You summoned me my lord?" A bead of sweat trickld down te side of his brow as he looked down at his feet. It was hard for him to look Taryn in the eyes.......those menacing red eyes, especially when he was angry.

"Yes I have summoned you. I warned you not to bring undue attention to the city. The people are up in arms. Already there are rumors. Some strike too close to the truth, though most laugh it off as folklore. I will not tolerate it much longer. Be more descrete with your dealings..........or at the very least take care not to choose so many. You must learn to control your self. You have been warned. Disobey me again...........and"

That was all he needed to say. The tall man stumbled out of the room before he could balance himself. Another softer voice spoke to Taryn from the other corner of the room. "Why were yo so hard on him? It was not so long ago you did the very same thing. And still do even now. Why have you been so skittish of late?"

Shandra was just as young looking as the day taryn had "turned" some 80 years ago. She had seen first hand his true intentions and how they had been foiled by Ayeka (curse her name). She wondered at why he had been acting so strangly. It only took Taryn a second to reply.

"The time we have long sought is coming. I shall find my last living heir AND I shall be rid of Ayeka. I know she is near at hand but I do not know where. i have waited long now for this, and this time neither will escape me."

Shandra only nodded her head in assent. She too had felt that a change in events was at hand. He hld her hand in his, her delicate almost snowy skin stood stark against the bronze of his. they left the room and walked down the long corridor with a torch on the wall for every 5 paces. Dwn the winding stairs that gave a soft creak, the dust never moving even with the passing of their steps. Into the main hall they stood. Paintings of untold origin hung as far as the eye cold see in the immense castle, dust and cobwebs obstructing some of them. Candles lined the hall aflame yet unflickering as if there were no wind. Furniture centries old and valuable lay where they had been for ages. orn baners lay hanging hap hazardly from the ceiling proclaiming days of glory long since forgotten.

Taryn took it all in. Vivid memories of how the castle was in its splender days long past flashd through his head. he felt no regret, he had learned that when you indefinatly everything sooner or later becomes memory. The only thing that never changes is that things will always change.

Shandra and he stood in the hall for some time, then sat at the large marble dining table. The tall man was already seated there, a slight grin on his face and a woman and man sat beside him. Fear and distress in their eyes. Taryn gazed at them for a short time and spoke. "Welcome, glad you two could join us for dinner.'" Even he couldnt help but smirk as the man and woman looked fom left to right pleadingly to be let go.

He toyd with notion of letting them go then changed his mind, he would need his energy, there was much study to be done. Their fate sealed, he laughed aloud. For this moment at least..........he would enjoy himself.

"So much for boredom" Ayeka said after Jadrek finished with his report. "I'm going... I've been cooped up here for twelve years... I have to get out." She said firmly, though Jadrek seemed almost ready to object.

Adrian watched his mother carefully, his ice blue eyes watching her every move. Alucart, at that moment entered the room. The only finery he wore was the Crane crest ring on his hand, a glittering garnet with a black crane at the center. He was finishing the laces at his wrists when he entered the room.

"going where?" He asked, looking to first Ayeka then his sons. Adrian only cleared his throat, and Jadrek spoke up.

"There have been several murders in Sanction, Father. Everything points to a Cursed one... Mother is insisting she go." He added, not meeting his Mother's eyes.

"Then so am I." He said firmly and met Ayeka's eyes. Ayeka frowned and shook her head.

"No, I'll need you here... when it comes down to it, I am only Touga's sister, And your Mate, not the Lady and mistress of this town... it is you that these people look to most.. they won't miss me..." She said and Alucardt was forced to see the wisdom in her words.

Adrian shook his head, indicating that he, too, would remain. Ayeka was momentarily pained by this, but she knew that the years of misunderstanding could never be reconciled in so short a time. She nodded and met the eyes of her elder son.

Twin pairs of Blue/violet eyes met and the younger nodded. "I'll go with you Mother... Go on, get ready, I'll saddle up Ghost and Nytehart..." He said wtih a nod to his father and a lingering glance at his twin, Jadrek left the room.

Ayeka turned and Alucardt followed her. "Are you sure about this?" he asked as the walked down the torch-lit corridors. Ayeka walked at a fast clip ahead of him, the rustle of the silk gown echoed softly in the stone hallway.

"Yes, I've been cooped up here for twelve years... I have to get out, if only for a short while... Please understand this." She begged softly, turning towards him.

He stood there for a moment, inches away from her and nodded. "I understand... our lives are long, indeterminably long... go on... I'll be waiting." He said and followed her into the room.

She went to the wardrobe and found the newly made linen, and silk tunics, and light-weight seude leather trousers. Alucardt found her light wool cloak and a leather cape as well, treated to keep away the rain. while she changed, he put the remaining clothing into a water treated leather pack... then he turned to the wall and picked up her sword off of the hook there.

The sheath was well oiled and the leather gleamed in the firelight. He pulled it free and checked the blade for her, still perfectly honed, straight and polished. The silver glowed in the firelight and when she turned towards him, he handed her the sword.

She took it from him, the sword felt comfortable in her hand and for an instant it felt as if she was returning home after a long journey. taking a silver clip from his desk he gathered her hair behind her neck. He cliped it in place, and ran his fingers through her hair. Ayeka smiled and pulled the strap across her chest so that her sword settled against her back.

"Perfect... check out that clip.. I had it made for you years ago, and just really never had the chance to give it to you..."

Ayeka reached up with her right hand and felt at it, one side felt like a tiny knife, and yes, when she pulled on it part of it came apart, and it was a tiny dagger, made of pure silver.

"Perfect... just the thing as a last resort. Thank you..." She said slipping it back into place.

She hefted the pack and Alucardt's arms slipped around her waist. "You be sure to come back to me.. got it?" He said, as he leaned down and his lips brushed hers.

"definitly... I'll be back..." She said and then they both turned to leave.

Down in the courtyard, Jadrek was already astride Ghost, the gelding pawed restlessly at the cobblestones as another attendant was holding Nytehart. Both horses were laden down with supplies, and while ghost was a well trained battle charger, he didn't have the full strength, Stamina and intelligince of Nytehart.

The ninth mare to bear the name Nytehart was pitch black, and big. The mare tossed her head impatiently and snapped her teeth at the attendant who tried to keep her still.

"Let he go, if you want to keep your hands..." Ayeka advised and the atendant stepped away imediately. Ayeka, wearing the leather cape to ward off further rain for the western skies where dark with clouds again.

"We'll be back, and we'll send word through the Wolves..." Ayeka said and wtih a tap of her heal and light tug on the reins Nytehart turned around. Jadrek did the same and both horses trotted down the path through the city.

OOC: Here's my character;
Bowen Gerhard, he is 1/4 elven (Silvanesti) and 3/4 human. He is 29. He has redish brown hair and brown eyes. He has a beard and hair down to his shoulders.

His elven side he never knew much about (mother side). The mother was raised by humans in a phoster family in Caergoth. He father was a salior, they fell in love had Bowen. The father disappered on his way to Sanction. Some say it was a storm but others say he was killed for uncovering something he shouldn't have. Bowen began aprentice detective work in Caergoth. Once he had plenty of money and training he sailed to Sanction to find out the truth about his father. It has been four years and though he has a steady job and good partners he still hasn't found out the truth about his father.

His mother remaind in Caergoth remarried and produced another child who looking for work sailed after Bowen seeking his half brother's help. His name is Chase and he is 17 years old. Chase is one of 5 that work with Bowen. Bowen is trained fighting with the cutlass and dagger but learned other fighting styles on his jobs .

Later today I'll post an IC but I have to go now.

Finally, a lead! Electra sent to Sahas as the vampire and wolf made there way out of the city.

It had been a tiring trek to find the latest rumors on the group of Cursed Ones, but with fresh wsord that they were in Sanction, Electra felt renewed as she sat astride her young horse, a spirited and loyal black pony she had named Ebony.

Be wary my friend Sahas responded as she easily kept up with the pony, We don't know for sure that the Cursed Ones in Sanction are the ones that you search for!

Electra nodded, acknowleging her friends advice was sound. But as far as the vampire was concerned, wether this group was the one she seacrched for or not, a Cursed One was a Cursed One. And they all had to die.

Up ahead, your kind! Sahas sent to her suddenly, breaking her pace for a moment, Two!

Interested, Electra urged Ebony on.

"Damnit! This doesn't make any sense," Bowen threw the book across the room.

Hearing the loud noise, Marcus slowly opened the door,"What's wrong?"

"The recent murders, thoughs six were found the same way...."

"Seven," Chase said behind Marcus.

"What?" Bowen knew what but didn't want to accept it.

"There are now seven dead," Chase pushed Marcus into the room and came inside and tossed a file on Bowen's desk. "Same markings as the last six. But the murders seem to be random. It is very strange." Bowen began looking through Chase's and Leanna's notes. He could tell that these murders weren't normal but he couldn't put his finger on it.

"Where's Leanna?" Marcus asked,"Wasn't she with you?"

"Yeah, she stayed behind to try and find some wittnesses," Chase knew what Bowen was going to say and was ready for the verbal beating from his elder brother but it didn't come.

"There will be no wittnesses, just like all the others," Bowen simply stated.

Marcus was equally surprised that Bowen didn't yell at Chase for leaving Leanna behind. She could take care of herself they all knew that, espically Bowen but he didn't want to see anything happen to her. Coming back around Marcus spoke up,"What about that one guy in the fourth murder?"

"He spoke of a black ghoust and he heard the screech of bats in the distance. That is all we have and according to others he is half crazy."

"Why couldn't you have gone to Palanthas? Or stayed in Caergoth?" Chase whinned, not wanting to have to deal with these strange muder cases.

"I get more work here, and you know the other reason," Bowen looked at a cutlass displayed on the wall. It had been his father's, maybe these cases would give him a lead on his dissaperence. Bowen didn't have anymore time to waste,"Marcus, stay here with Chase, and Natalie. Take out all the files and papers we have on the murders," Bowen went and strapped a sword on his belt and took his traveling cloak. He knocked his foot against the wall to make the dagger was still in his boot then walked out to meet Leanna at the murder scene.

OOC: Yes, that works fine Luni, and Thistle, you know what...I'm not sure if I remember that...it sounds familiar... that should work... Also, this is to take place just after WOS

BIC: Their week-long trek from Drache to Sanction was uneventful... though filled with tension and anxiety.

The first sight of the city surrounded with sulphurous smoke, the dingey red glow of the lava rivers made everything seem surreal to Jadrek... While the first sight of the city plunged Ayeka into a waking nightmare of memory....

The blood spilled needlessly, mercilessly. The Tears... Of misery, pain, fear and loss. it was tear filled eyes that haunted her every moment... waking or alseep. Deep inside she had failed them all in the end.

Adrian, stolen from her when he was only a child of five, returned as a man of eighteen. Filled with animosity towards his family, his mother in particular. For years he had thought her dead, and to find her alive left him more bereft than her supposed loss....she had abandoned him....

Alucardt, her betrothed, sworn to protect her from the fate filled night she was born. Her mother, under the complete control of her Husband, Atempted to kill Ayeka that night. Alucardt, acting a guard had woken from a light doze when the Lady Sheris stepped upon a loose floorboard. The ensuing struggle had ended with Sheris's death...Alucardt holding the small silver dagger stained with her blood...

The incident was covered up, and young lord Alucardt Crane was named Ayeka's betrothed,. The unfolding events of her life brought them together again. And twenty three years later, tore them apart.

She had thought him dead for fifty years; His own wolf, Billy, was missing in the packsong... The proud black wolf killed by Ayeka's ancient nemesis. Alucardt, was not dead. Imprisoned for fifty years in a stone crypt, denied light, nourishment, he very nearly went insane imprisoned in that confining stone box. In her rage against Taryn, Ayeka couldn't hear his calls...only her estranged son came to Alucardt's aid.

Visions of one of the most selfless humans AYeka had ever met flashed before her eyes. Shoulder length black hair and spirited green eyes. Kiri had sworn revenge against the creatures who had destroyed the only family she had ever known. having tracked one to this very city, Kiri had found Ayeka, and knowing her for what she was, the young mage followed Ayeka to the Inn.

Weak, in need of sleep and blood, Ayeka was nearly powerless to stop the young woman as she raised her dagger, intent on the kill. In the end the young woman was simply unable to strike... there was no honor or revenge in killing one who was unable or unwilling to defend themselves....

Kiri had listened to Ayeka's story and decided to help... She donated the blood that Ayeka needed and during that exchange, Ayeka had learned of the girl's vow of revenge, and swore to help.

Twenty years ago, Kiri died...choosing to follow the man she had loved so dearly. Her life had been hard due to her associations with Ayeka, her children's lives even more so.

Touga...Ayeka's beloved brother. So many years ago he had tracked her to Sanction, to stop her "Foolish Crusade" Ever bit his father's son then. Dark auburn hair very nearly the color of blood, and eyes the color of blue ice. He was furious with her for her choice as a hunter, but he never wanted to really harm her. Even when his father ordered it. Mad with grief a the hinted murder of her friend, Kiri, Ayeka attacked him. They struggled with a silver dagger, and as the moonlight flashed on the blade, Touga remembered how her mother died, the lie that covered it all up... No cursed on Killed her mother.... and the real reason why....

Their fight ended then, with Ayeka in shock and denial, Touga filled with remorse a his harsh treatment of her. After Alucardt's confession, Touga intervened her suicide attempt and very nearly died himself... and was saved by a very much alive, if wounded, Kiri.

He blamed himself for Adrian's abduction, for he had come to Kiri's vballey to acompany the boys on the four day journey to Drache, to visit for the summer. Again Kiri had saved his life. They found Jadrek huddled in the ruined remains of the carriage, his small wolf cub, Saia whining softly beside him.

Twelve years ago, was the darkest night of her life... she had been on a job, a young woman, not fully turned had come across her path, further investigation had proved that Taryn was the one behind it...

Lured by Taryn's "mate" Shandra, touga fought Taryn. Ayeka arrived to witness the fatal blow. Touga's sword fell from his hand as his sister screamed out in rage and disbelief....

Taryn had, then and always, laughed at her as he dissapeared.....

The mare slowed her pace as they neared the gates, and Ayeka's attention turned to her son. She wouldn't fail him... though her heart felt heavy at her silent vow. They entered the city with little hassle, the solamnic occupation made Sanction a much easier place to live.

Va'Luer Endral. V'Kal'in

came Jennah's voice intruding on Ayeka's chaotic thoughts. va'luer Endral ment wolf-sibling and V'kal'in was an ancient term for a Pureblood.

AYeka sat up a bit straighter in the saddle, and saw the woman immediatly. She reined in the mare, and jadrek did the same... the two wolves stood shoulder to shoulder ahead of them all staring at the woman before them.

Sahas informed Electra that the too Pureblood Vampires had seen them, though as they got closer to the two, the fact was obvious.

Both sitting on horses, the Vampires - a beautiful female, and a very striking, younger male - sat staring at her as she reined Ebony in when she got closer. Being so used to her Mistress's own wolf-companion, the black pony didn't scare as they approached the two other wolves.

"Hello", Electra greeted the two in a voice that could either be a hiss or a purr depending on her mood, "I hadn't meant to follow you, but it seems we were all heading in the same direction."

The woman's ice-blue eyes settled on the male's violet/blue ones for an instant, than scanned the redish-snokey sourroundings of Sanction.

The night air was warmed by the lava streams that poured through the city. Bowen walked at a faster pace than normal. He smelled the volcanic air, a strange smell that could only be found here. He soon found his way to where soldiers were blocking and people were gathered around. He slowed and went to the closest soldier,"Where is your Highest ranking officer?"

"Listen, I'm sick and tired of you people trying to get a story out of these murders. Now back off!" He took hold of the hilt of his sword to ensure he got the point.

"Damned fool, I'm not some story seeker," Bowen withdrew a small badge and showed it to the tired solider. "I believe this will allow me in."

"Yes...Yes, Sir. I'm sorry I didn't know," the man stepped aside allowing Bowen to enter. "Captain Ragez is over there," he pointed to a stocky man with a patch and scruffy beard.

Bowen went over to Ragez,"I see we have another one."

Ragez turned,"Bowen, I thought Leanna and Chase were already down here."

"I don't trust Chase in the field. And I don't like Leanna to be alone."

"Now, Chase wouldn't like to hear that."

"He's not experianced enough to be out here in a place like this," Bowen snorted then shook his head," Anyways, I'd like to see the victum. You didn't touch anything right."

"Yeah, Leanna was very insitant that we don't mess with anything. I hear this murderer is supernatural."

"You know better than to believe stories such as that Ragez," Bowen didn't wait for a reply, he feared the same thing. He walked inside the building, blood ran in small rivers away from the woman's body. He yelled for any soilders inside to leave, which they gladly did. She was wearing a blue nightdress that had been torn and was now covered in blood. Bowen went closer to the body arching up his sword to keep the sheath from touching the blood. He moved his gloved hand to the face and moved the hair away, two blue orbs were inplace of her eyes. Bowen removed one, the orb was flat on one side.

He looked around, now broken windows no sign of forced entrance. Bowen rolled the women to her back and he looked down at the symbol on her chest. The same symbol as all the others. What did it mean? He had spent hours ready through old books, fact and fiction alike tofind some trace of the symbol. But nothing was found, he still had several more cases to go through but he wasn't optimistac and figuered he wouldn't find the answer he seeked. This would all be in Leanna's notes back at home.

He walked out the room wishing for a breeze of cold night air, but his wish didn't come true. "See you later Ragez," Bowen walked through the crowd as Ragez quickly waved then went back to work. Bowen asked a few people and they lead him to Leanna. She had dark brown hair flowing freely behind her with leather pants and grey shirt covered by a cape. She nodded the man she was speaking to then turned and walked away shaking her head. "Leanna, I thought I'd give you a hand down here."

Leanna looked up and smiled at Bowen going to him for a kiss and warm embrace. "Did Chase give you the file?"

"Yes, I have the others working on this. Trying to find some clue as to who this person is, why they're doing this, and pherhaps a pattern or relation. Have you found anything?"

"No, though one man said he saw a wolf."

"A wolf, that doesn't make sense."

"This might narrow our search."

"It might, I'm going to look around some more go back and help out the others."

"Your not the only one who can work the streets. Why don't you go back, I'm already working on this and I don't want to miss anything," It was clear Leanna was angry but she kept a calm voice. She knew Bowen was protective but he knew she wasn't the type to be protected.

"Just promise you'll stay near Ragez and his men."

"That wont be hard considering that most people near this area are here. Some are starting to leave though so I better hurry," Leanna kissed Bowen on the cheek and ran off to the crowd. Bowen scratched his beard and began to go to go further away, away from the crowd where he knew he would find only random sights and sounds. The underworld might have something on this killer, Bowen looked out at the entrace gates.

The woman's ice-blue eyes settled on the male's violet/blue ones for an instant, than scanned the redish-snokey sourroundings of Sanction.

They settled on a man in a blue coat, walking towards them. In his hands was a staff and at his waist was a mechanical device. When he was within hearing range, he spoke to them. "Greetings, Ayeka. Welcome to Sanction."

(OOC: Strangely, it seams that he has not aged more than a year or so in the last 20 years... Anyways, the guards at the site will recognize him as already being on the investigation if need be. Course, that doesn't mean he is, they just think he is.)

At the strangers greeting to the other female Vampire, Electra's eyes went back to the woman to see her reaction. Then the icy eyes once again caught those of Aykeka's son. Something about this man didn't seem right to Electra, but mayhaps she awas just beng paranoid. Perhaps he was a friend to the mother and son pair.

Adrian, stolen from her when he was only a child of five, returned as a man of eighteen. Filled with animosity towards his family, his mother in particular. For years he had thought her dead, and to find her alive left him more bereft than her supposed loss....she had abandoned him....

It had been custom for Taryn and Shandra to leave the last of a victim for young Adrian. It seemed rather odd to Shandra that Adrian was no longer there with them. Taryn also at times thought of the young adrian, he would have been a great nightwalker. He was sure he would have grown even more villanous than himself. It was this seed of the evil that Taryn had feed upon, an evil that every vampire had within them good or not, he had seduced adrian to pleasures of the darkside. There was an attachment that could not be denied between the two, he was what adrian would become if not for the guidance of his mother or so he beleived. It was that attachment that led him to beleive that they were somewhere near, he could almot feel it.

Taryn felt great satisfaction in knowing that no matter what, he had taken that innocence away from him. His mother would never get the chance o see him grow into what he was as he had. That moment he had stolen.
he knew in time they would meet again, and though in a way he had grown fond of the boy he wouldnt hesitate to take his life either. He would be rid Ayeka and ALL her offspring. Her own father had evn wished it so before his death.

He left shandra to attend to what was left of 'dinner', it wa time for him to study more of his new self. The transformation had been a success. He had even learned a few new spells that would come in handy. Tomorrow night would be a busy night. It was time to 'turn' a few more to become his minions. Soon he would take over sanction from within, and they would be unwittingly ruled by people of the night.

Is it too late for me to join? I hope not, this looks coool. I'm probably going to have multiple charactars, but don't worry I'm good at keeping track of them.

Name: Dorian Blackblade
Age:28
Gender:Male
Race: Were-wolf\human
Appearance: Brownish blonde hair, very black eyes.

Name: Ashlanti Firey
Age: (appears)25,(is) 78
Gender:Female
Race:Half demon,halfhuman
Appearance: Dark skin, black hair,brownish-black eyes that turn bronzy-gold in the light of nuitari.

Okay and there will probably be occasional appearances by Jade Darkmoon, Ashlanti's half sister, who is a half dragon. And by my best, and favorite character, Adrien Shimmer, a piratess.
By the way, Ashlanti and Jade can take eachothers appearances, but not powers.

As for Electra, she is still right with the mother and son pair of Aykeka and Jedrek (Kalia's characters). I'm not sure how far into Sanction we've actually gotten. Electra hasn't even had a chance to introduce herself to the other two vampires yet.

Would the vampires be able to sense were-wolves? Or perhaps - would the PackSong (the vampire's wolf-companions) be able to sense them?

"Marcus, Nat, look at this," Chase was reading through a book that was in the chest Bowen and been going through.

"Chase, no more pictures of things. We've had enough, get back to work," Nat said and Marcus grunted his agreement.

"No, I'm serious I've really found something. It matches with some of stuff we've been seeing in the murders," the two reluctantly left the files and went over to Chase and the oversized book he was going through. Chase pointed at a passage to start reading. Chase was right, the book did mention sveral of the reaccuring things in the murders. The markings, the candels, the strange "shadow".

"Nice job kid, Bowen is going to be happy you found this out. What's this book about," Marcus flipped the book to the cover but found only a worn faded red covering. He flipped through a few pages and one word stood out, Vampires.

"Do you think this might be real?" Natallie asked.

"If it is we are in way over are heads," Marcus went back to a file and began reading through the book to find more connections. Chase just sat there, he couldn't believe it, vampires. But Marcus was right they were in way over their heads.

"Should I go find Bowen?" Chase still sitting in a daze said.

"No, we should find out all we can before the next murder occurs. Besides, Bowen wouldn't believe us unless we had proof," Marcus was right, Bowen was not one to jump to conclusions. The group began searching for more books and finding connections in the books to the murder files and began to uncover a plot, though they didn't even notice it.

To luni: Yeah, same dorian, but just at a later point. Vampires can sense were-wolves to some extent, and pure wolves consider them abominations, and freaks. So the vampires can tell he's a were-wolf, but packsong can sense it better. Most vampires aren't to crazy at all when it comes to were-wolves, because the were-wolves only really serve the ancient vampire's that were takhisis's minions, and they turn on these "newer" vampires, considering them traitors. Dorian isn't the average were-wolf. He was a evil were-wolf that changed for nuitari, but had an encounter with some strange people, and he was different after that, but still changed every time nuitari was full. But then lunitari sent a twisted red-robe after him, because he knows the location of the anvil of time, and lunitari is trying to find it so that she can go to the past and drive her cousins insane, and rule all magic(nuitari is trying something similar, but is trying to do it by rallying all of the oppressed, things he can find, and trying to kill off white robes, while solinari is in an enchanted sleep, unaware that magic has gone to hell)She is trying to drive him insane, but it's not quite working.

There's a were-wolf near by came Sashas's thought to Electra.

Where? The vampire responded, already seaching within her line of sight.

Somewhere with in the city - hiding. was Sasha's reply with a displeased growl.

Electra was about to report the message to the other two Vampire's but remembeered the newcomer. The strange man that haad greeted them only moments before. Electra decided to keep silent for now, no doubt the Pack Song would inform her companions of the were-wolf as well.

OOC: *Sigh* no, what I am trying to say A_A is that "Werewolves" Are considered and called "WOLFNARI" by the Purebloods... they aren't trusted because most of them are evil and work for the "Cursed ones"

It is how Ayeka, Jadrek, (and Electra as well as long as she was actually raised within the Pureblood society) will think of your char. Ayeka in particular has a strong animostity towards "Werewolves" or "Wolfnari" As one nearly caused her death during the search for her stolen son, Adrian in NightStalker II: fate of a child.

Kalia_Majere

OOC: Okay all caught up.

BIC: Jadrek was about to intruduce himself and his mother to the newcomer when a second greeted Ayeka. Ayeka started for a moment, then took a closer look... She knew this man.

"Timesplit?" She exclaimed, puzzled... "You helped me several years ago.... in attempt to save Kiri's valley...but how?" she didn't finish her sentance...it seemed almost silly to say " But how can you be alive now?"

Suddenly both Jennah and Saia began to growl... Saia whined and pawed at her ears as though something she had heard hurt her sensitive hearing.

And it wasn't far off from the truth... The dischordiant sound within the packsong made Ayeka wince when she linked more closely with Jennah. And the painful sound was nothing less than the chaotic sounds of a Wolfnari..or werewolf as most humans were apt to call them...

"Forgive me old friend, but we must hasten to our destination...seems our little situation is a little more grievous than we thought... need a ride?" She asked as her mare tossed her head and stamped her hooves restlessly. Jadrek's mount shied away from the brute of a battlemare.

Jennah and Saia stayed side by side, eyeing their surroundings suspiciously.

This is why she hunts them - to try and find the ones who orphaned her.

Electra breathed a silent sigh of relief to find that the female vampire not only seemed to know the the other man, but also called him friend.

Her relief didn't last long however. The sounds of the hidden Wolfnari were obviously upsetting the Pack Song. Shasha was now pacing around Ebony, growling and whining as the calls continued. The black pony, unacostomed to seeing her Mistress's companion in such a state, reared up in fear at the wolves' growls.

Manging to calm Ebony somewhat, Electra got her to stand still. But she continued eyeing everything and everyone in wary silence as she tossed her head.

Addressing the male Vampire, she introduced herself, "My name is Electra Shadowmore. Perhaps would it not be to much trouble if Sasha and I accompanied you within the city?"

OOC: Ok thanks kalia, now i understand.

BIC: Dorian was wandering around in the woods, not far from sanction, his current home. Running a hand through his red and black hair he sighed. Why was he always drawn to the woods? he wondered. Maybe it was just an echo of the were-wolf inside him. No point in letting himself be driven mad by it. He walked through the woods and could tell he was drawing near the road by the sound of horse feet, when he froze. He felt the presence of...vampyres. How could that be! Vampyres, in sanction?!

He was alarmed, partly because were-wolves were extremely disliked by the more common vampyres now, the new bloods. Only the ancient vampyres, so extremely rare, welcomed were-wolves. He new these were new-bloods. If the had been ancients, then he would have felt awed and servile. As it was he was alarmed. All were-wolves knew the fate of Faladon, the famous were-wolf who had been captured by new-bloods that hated were-wolves.

He shuddered and began to walk swiftly throught the woods, parallel to the road, when he heard a shout from the road....
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Ashlanti hurried throught the dark alley, towards the street. she knew she was being followed. Suddenly her pursuers juped from a rooftop, and surrounded her. One of them struck her. "Please, I have done nothing..." she said backing away. Another struck her. "And that is precisely why. Our master needs you help. And you have done....'nothing'." They closed in on her. Suddenly a cloud pulled back that had been over the moons. Her eyes began to glow bronze, and she smiled. She leapt on one of them and flung him down the alley towards the street.

The other four smiled. One of them attempted to back her into a wall, and shrieked in pain. Long white teeth had pierced his arm, and his lifeblood fell out into the street. Another came after her, and she cut him with her dagger, straight across his forearm. The wound was not serious, and he felt inclined to laugh, when the poison on the blades terrible heat burned him. One of them deftly jumped up and came down, tumbling her to the ground. She chanted and suddenly pressed her hands to his face, and burned him horribly. The last, their leader looked alarmed. She deftly cut him with a knife, right across the shoulder.

He stiffened. "Tell your master, that there is one nightstalker, and there is one who battles him. I am no fool, I do not cast my lot with undead relics." she shoved him towards the street, and he stumbled away. The half demon hid the bodies near an inn with a bad reputation, then returned to the alley, picked up her bundles and continued towards the street, pausing to wipe the blood from her mouth......

Sasha refused to be calmed. Pacing and growling, she continued to be pained by the presence of the Wolfnari within Sanction. Wolfnari usually meant Cursed Ones, and Cursed Ones usually meant trouble.

Turning her green eyes toward the inner parts of the city, Sasha growled and wimpered even more. Something was happening, beyond the threat of the Wolfnari. Something was happening in the shadowy alleys of Sanction.

Kalia_Majere

OOC: A_A, There is no real age distinction between Purebloods and the Cursed ones. There are as many "Ancients" among both breeds. With the purebloods they are "Born" vampires, their aging stops around 17-20 years of age... the "Cursed ones" stop aging the moment they're turned. So it's a given, if it's an "old looking" Vampire, then it is most likely a cursed one. Sorry about that one, I forgot to mention it.

BIC: Ayeka urged the mare forward and they entered the city.... Jennah was now silent, but her menacing growls rippled through the packsong. Jadrek had flashed a smile to Electra and extended his hand, the drache crest flashing in the wan light.

BIC: Dorian was uncomfortable. There was a wolf nearby, and he could feel t's hatred, and anger all the way to where he was. He knew that if the owner had not had such strength of will, the wolf would have attacked him by now. He kne he should go, but he was unusually curious. That always meant that something was going to be happening with these strangers. He followed them, until he heard voices. He ducked behind a tree then suddenly he heard a growl....
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Ashlanti paced in the little run-down house that she owned. It looked awful on the outside, but the inside was another story. She also liked it because it was near the mages quarter, and being a mage herself, the half demon appreciated being near more spell components. She heard a commotion outside of her winow. She rose, and stalked over to the window and looked out. The city guard was hurrying by, and the captain was talking to a half elf animatedly ".....another one, over by the merchants......" Another what? she wondered. She Put on a shabby cloak and went outside, locking the door firmly. She followed the tramp of boots through sanction.

He tore throught the underbrush,as fast as he could. Then the wolf jumped on him, and pushed him hard, into a log, which stopped his flight.

Ashlanti had followed them, to a area in an alleyway that had been marked off as a crime scene.A young woman was dead, laying on the ground.

Just like all the other ones, no witness, nothing, just like she fell over dead, and cut her neck on something." Cut. Her neck. Of course! Taryn was behind this. Ashlanti was furious. But she knew that no matter what any of these people did, they were in the dark unless they knew what they faced. She had to tell them sommmmething.

Jadrek cast a glance at his mother that stayed her hand, and with an angered scowl, she turned the mare's head back to the city gates. "You take care of it... I'm moving on...." She said sharply as the mare kicked up a cloud of dust as she broke into a rough canter for the city gates.

The moment that Ayeka passed the gates, she felt the sense of forboding once again... and a haunting familiarity.... She suppressed a shiver then headed for the Inn.... after Eighty five years, no one could possibly remember her...or think that she was only a reletive... she hoped...

She loosely tethered Nytehart outside and with Jennah at her side she walked into the Inn.....

OOC: Sorry luni. This is completely seperate from dark of night.Electra and dorian don't know eachother. Is typing down what you had your character say from dorian's point of view okay?

BIC: There were more vampires standing around around. One of them with purple-ish eyes said to the other "You take care of it...I'm moving on..." Dorian had a good idea wht she meant bye "Take care of it" He rolled fast towards the side of the road. He jumped up and ran towards sanction, and then he realized why he hadn't tried this earlier.

Being dragged throught the woods by a wolf had left it's mark on him. He stumbled and fell on to the hard road. All he could think of to say was "What did I do? If you are looking for the nightstalker, I can help you."

Kalia_Majere
08/11/2003 10:28 AM

OOC: "Nightstalker" is only the title of the series...it's not really a name for anyone... unless it's what your char calls the "Cursed Ones"

BIC: Jadrek stayed behind, his long hair was caught by a strong errant wind and torn free form it's braid. "It's not what you did, it's what you are.... your kind is known for servitude for the Cursed Ones" He said as he brushed the long platinum strands away from his eyes.

Saia tilted her head a bit and then snorted. : Their kind is not to be trusted...: She sent, her icy eyes locked onto those of the wolfnari.

: Savage raiders, killers of newborn pups.... madness runs in their voices and their minds... it eats at their souls like a carrion worm...: She snarled.

Jadrek's gelding, Ghost, pranced nervously at Saia's venhemence, and pulled at the bit. "I know Saia...but the fact that he hasn't immediately attacked us gives him some credit." He said thoughtfully as he brought Ghost under control.

"Alright.... You're coming with us... however, try anything....and you won't live long to regret your actions..." Jadrek said and pulled about two inches of his steel-reinforced silver blade free from it's sheath."

As his mother did he turned the Gelding's head towards the city again. "Lets go..." He said grimly and his horse set forth at a brisk pace.....

OOC: Hmm, I thought "nightstalker" might be a term for a cerain kind of vampire. My bad.

BIC: The vampire was going to let him live. Dorian gave a grim smile. This was just his lucky day. He stood up, and brushed off the dirt. He only dared one comment."If everyone was judged by their race, and not what they did, then chaos would long ago have destroyed krynn, and EVERY race on it..." As the vampire rode towards the city, he followed....

OOC2: Kalia, how are the vampire's riding through the sunlight?

Kalia_Majere
08/11/2003 11:38 AM

OOC: Ayeka and Electra being half don't have a problem with Sunlight...Jadrek on the otherhand has a magical item, a sunstone necklace that he wears to protect him from the effects... but will still become somewhat lethargic during the noon-hours. from like 11 am to about 3 or so... when the sun's the strongest.

Kalia_Majere
08/11/2003 11:51 AM

Jadrek heard the wolfnari's comment, and smiled ruefully. "Ah, yes. But you don't know my mother... she's had a grudge against your kind for over seventy years. perhaps I'll tell you about it some time..." He said as they passed through the gates.

Jadrek spotted Ayeka's mare tethered outside of the Inn, and headed in that direction.

OOC: gotcha, kalia. Do they have to be invited in, do they have any problems with garlic other than bad breath?(I'm trying to get htis figured out)
BIC: Dorian stared at the young vampire. ~....had a grudge against your kind for over seventy years..~ This was not good. However, he had no idea how

he was going to escape. He frowned. The young vampire was more forgiving than most, dorian suspected. He was sure this Ayeka would not be. They stopped at an inn. He recognized it as "the serpents head" the sign depicted a ornate serpent head next to a mug.It was one of the better inns in sanction. He frowned as they stepped in. He saw this Ayeka, and realized, that if she let him live, she would just wait for him to make a mistake and run for it. Then she would kill him, no questions asked. He smiled. Living as long as he had was not accomplished by being rash.

08/11/2003 1:03 PM

OOC: No, the only major weaknesses is a severe reaction to silver, when cut with such a weapon, the wound is slow to heal, if a finely made silver power is intruduced to the blood stream it's fatal (that was how Ayeka's brother was killed),

Adverse reactions to sunlight, and of course the need to drink blood. the need is stronger for Jadrek than his mother, not only because of her age, but also due to the fact that she is half and the drache crest pendant she wears is magically enhanced to keep the "hunger" at bay. For the Cursed ones the weaknesses are even more severe. There are no such things as "Halflings" with them, and if they are to move around in the daylight, they must have some sort of magical protection.

also, remember Purebloods don't kill to get the blood they need, they use what telepathic powers they have to lure a "donor" in, take only what they need and let the person go without ever realizing what happened to them. Their saliva has a healing agent in it, and the bite wound is usually healed when the Unwitting donor is released.

BIC: Ayeka looked up as the group entered. Her eyes narrowed at the wolnari (which I am assuming is in a homid form...if not it would cause quite a panic) and then shot her son a dark look before tossing him a Key. "Our rooms are upstairs... you are responsible for that... you understand?" she asked, as their eyes met. Jadrek paled a bit then nodded...

Ayeka turned and climbed the stairs, Jennah at her side. She walked into the room that the Inkeep had described and was immediately taken back eighty-five years......

Bursting through the door of the vampire’s room and Kiri raised her silver dagger. With a cry of pure sorrow, she brought the dagger down swiftly. It raced towards the heart of the unholy creature, promising a quick death.

Ayeka awoke the moment she felt the presence of the human. Weakly she tried to move, to stop the woman. To no avail...she hadn't the strength. She watched as the young woman raised the blade to strike...and braced herself for the killing blow.

Hesitantly, when the blow never came, she opened her eyes. she noticed that the girl had dropped the dagger, and was in tears. still unable to move Ayeka could only stare.

Kiri-Koli stood back from the bed, tears streaming from her emerald eyes. She was ashamed, ashamed of crying, ashamed that she was ready to end a life, even a cursed one, without a fair fight.

The memory washed over Ayeka and tears threatened to blind her... She remember sealing both Alucardt and Kiri in this very room to protect them from her brother, who at that time wanted to kill her...so she thought. The demoness Akhsun, who temorarily worked with Touga (mostly cuz she was bored) caused Ayeka such pain when she caught her, that she had shattered her own spell protecting Kiri and Alucardt inside this very room....

Wiping the tears away, her hand traced a light line on the window, and the edge of the small bed.... she had left sanction days later...never to return.... until now.

----

Jadrek watched his mother go upstairs and sighed... would she always blame herself for things that she had no control over? when would she just let it go?

OOC: I read an anthology once, where vampires couldn't stand the color silver at all, and if a silver light shone into their eyes, they disintegrated. And dorian has no reason to be a wolf, neither lunitari or nuitari are full. (he is a nuitarian were-wolf, but lunitari is trying to control him)

BIC: Dorian understood the glare was meant for him. And ""that"" which she so callously referred to, was him. That. So that's all he was. Something hse hated, because he was a were-wolf. God's only knew how many times he had wished he wasn't a were-wolf. But he was. And it never changed. The dreams kept coming. The suppressed insanity on the full moon.

(he figured out that he wouldn't change as long as he kept completely conscious during the full moon, and he could only sleep at the peak of the day) He hated who he was, but he couldn't change it. He couldn't change the fact he had been born. And he couldn't change the fact that for most of his youth he had been the accepted stereo-type of his race. Chasing down humans running from burning settlements, he could still remember devouring humans, and running with the pack.

(Were-wolves aren't technically cannibals, because there is no human in a were-wolf. The human switches places with a demon-wolf from the spectral plane) It had gone on for a long ime, until he had met an unusual human, a pirate named Adrien. He asked Jadrek "So where are we going to start in finding the killer?"

Kalia_Majere
08/11/2003 3:57 PM

Jadrek tore his gaze away from the stairs. "Well first I'll see if this inn has a stable to house Ghost and Nytehart... I'll dump most of my gear in the room Mother has managed to procure, then we search out the local authorities... they will give us the lead we need.... I don't know if they're actually staying here or if they are hiding elsewhere...."

Jadrek climbed the stairs and tossed his pack on one of the beds. He returned downstairs and asked about the stable... Sure enough there was one behind this inn... Jadrek paid the inkeep for the housing of the horses and then led ghost to it. he had untied Nytehart, and she followed him. The black mare was larger than Ghost was, as he was only a saddle-bred charger, while she was a full blood Que-Shu battle mare.

Smart as a cat, and as obediant as a dog Nytehart followed him into the stables. He gave the stablehand instructions that included strict rules when concerning the Mare... the boy was not to go near her except for filling her water trough or the feed net.

"You'll do as I say if you want to keep your hands attatched to their wrists." Jadre cautioned as he turned and walked out. The others where waiting for him, and he motioned for them to follow... they headed for the City Guard Barraks.

Be at peace, my friend, she sent to Sasha silently, He won't do anything here. Not now, not with us, as well as Jadrek, his mother, and their wolves here. Dorian acting now would mean only his death.

Electra's observation seemed to pacify the silver-coated animal, for she quieted immeditely. Though she quieted, however, her green eyes watched him warily as the group walked.

At Dorian's question, Electra was brought bacl to that horrible night 47 years ago. 18 years old than, the young vampire had awoken to find her parent's had been slaughtered, pieces of each of them strewn all around the campsite the family had made to rest for the night. The lack of blood around was undoubted the work of "Cursed Ones". The brutally of the reamains was the work of Wolfnari.

As the memory ended and Electra returned to the present, she shuddered visibly. Turning an angry glare to Dorian, she snapped, "I'm here because I'm a hunter of the Cursed Ones. The ones your kind usually work with."

Timesplit then continued to travel between earth and various time periods of krynn. This is how he hasn't aged much. It only has been a few years for him.

Timesplit's brother has only been alive in one thread, the one where he died. There was a small valley that Kalia's character and some others were living in, as was Emmett. The inkeep wasted no time in motioning for one of the maids to come to him afet Jadrek had left. His hands trembled with excitement, "this is what I was told to be on the lookout for". The maid only nodded as he continued...

"Make sure their rooms are secure. Do not try to be nosey or interfere, these are no ordinary patrons at our inn. If What Master taryn has said is true, then they certainley are not, much trouble indeed. I shall have to warn the council. But first............send word to master Taryn"

He was sure he would be well rewarded for his information. Taryn paid well when he was pleased. He still could never shake the uneasiness he felt around him though gold made even fear go away.

He stuffed the letter hastily in the maids hand and gave her instructions on who to give it to so that it would reach Taryn quickly. As well as he paid when pleased, he also knew what happened to those who 'disappointed' Taryn. He sat back at his desk, pleased, in time the troublemakers would be taken care of and his pockets would be full. What more could he ask for.

OOC: Heya. Good to see you too. How's life? :D I dunno. Kalia told me about this and I wanted to...but I basically stopped all my roleplaying stuff when I came to college. It's not like I'm *so* busy...this is just another excuse to not do my homework (as is writing to you right now :)) and I have waaay too many of those.

I tried to think of something (or rather someone) to bring in, but came up empty and went to do my calculus homework. Which is what I'm going to do now. Wheeeeee.

I'm impressed that you guys are still going strong...if inspiration (or just plain lightning) strikes, I'll jump in. If that's okay.

Oh and I'm sorry I missed you, Kalia. MSN Messenger is supposed to set me to away when I'm in class but it doesn't always...

Cheers. :D

Jadrek had returned to the group, his eyes dark with anger.

"we where right... it's definitly the cursed ones... we should find Ayeka..." He said and turned to walk back towards the Inn.

--------

Jennah was growling and Ayeka stared at the figure ahead of her.

"Calm her or we'll be over-heard, Pureblood." Came a soft voice. The white wolf went quiet, her eyes glowing in the dim sanguine light.

"who are you?" Ayeka asked, her hand resting on the dagger at her right hip.

"A friend." The voice replied. "Perhaps the only one you have in this Gods-forsaken City." The man moved into the light. He had pale blue eyes and blonde hair. "We have much to speak about Lady Drache."

"who are you?" Ayeka demanded.

The man sighed. "I am, or rather I was untill twelve years ago, Lord Cedric Aidan. That is untill your nemesis stole my body, displaced my soul into a human body and kept me as a slave." The man watched the surprise cross her features before turning away.

"Shall we go somewhere more private or shall the whole city witness our conversation?"

Nodding silently, Ayeka followed him to a small hutt, barely more than a hole in a wall of an old, crumbling building. the man moved ahead of her and lit an oil lamp. the dim light shed upon old and crumbling stone furniture. He sat down on a bench. "Please, have a seat..." He gestured and she sat, Jennah laying her head in Ayeka's lap.

"I'm not sure I understand what you said... You're human, you can't be Cedric Adrian..." She said, Abiet Breathlessly.

"You're right.. I'm not... Anymore. Taryn is..." The man said softly, the graveness in his voice struck painfully at Ayeka's heart.

Now her shock was complete.. the small room seemed to close in on her and she could barely breathe. Jennah's ears flattened and she growled, fangs gleaming in the lamplight.

Breathe Endral... The wolf sent and Ayeka's breath hitched in her throat.

"Calm yourself M'Lady... For this storm is bound to get worse before it passes..." the man said.

"How can this be? How has this happened!?" She cried, panic rising in the back of her throat so that she wanted to scream to vent her disbelief, Rage and Terror....

OOC: Okay this was the best way that I could think of for Ayeka to learn of Taryn's escape... hope this is alright with you Ontarys... :)

Jadrek had returned to the group, his eyes dark with anger.

"we where right... it's definitly the cursed ones... we should find Ayeka..." He said and turned to walk back towards the Inn.

Electra hopped of the bench and sheathed the hip dagger she had been flipping over in her hand. She walked beside Jaderek, her long black cloak whispering around her ankles as she moved. Sasha walked at her side.

OOC: I thought this game was long dead. Sad to say, but I kind of forget where the story was going. I love the characters, but as you know I've been having alot of health problems as of late and cannot be here as often as I used to.
