OOC: Hey, here's yet ANOTHER attempt made by me to start a thread. This isn't going to be a serious thread either. The basic story line is going to be about how I/Straea got my/her kender guinea pig, Talia Burrfoot (no, she's not really related to Tas, she just changed her name was all). Also, if possible, during the storyline, I'd like it if Straea could meet some other characters so that way she'll know them in later threads.

IC:
The sun was high in the sky, a gentle breeze was blowing. Not a cloud was in sight on this warm spring day. It was the perfect day to start a journey. Talia Burrfoot, formerly known as Talia Lightfoot, checked herself over once more. All her pouches were on and nearly empty, and her hoopack was in fine shape. Her brown hair was parted down the center and braided into two pigtails. She sighed happily as her hazel eyes scanned what was her home. She didn't know when she would see it again, only that she wouldn't be back for a very long time.
Not one for leaving people waiting, she walked out of her home, and into the center of the happy little village known as Kenderhome. Everyone who was left in the village was there. Wanting to get on her journey as quickly as possible, Talia said her many goodbye's and left the only place she had ever lived. Her travels, many that should cure her of her Wanderlust, had just begun...Oh, I'm sorry, is this yours? You must have dropped it. You know, it's a good thing I found it for you. Here you go.

Big Mc'Largehuge sat near his campfire roasting an oxen. The large animal was skinned and dripping its delicious juices into the fire. The sound of sizzling fat filled the crisp morning air. Big was a big burly man. Massive muscles rippling and corded. He was a fighter, of course. One that had seen his share of battles. Scars dotted his body, looking like someone played tic-tac-toe with his flesh.

Sitting next to Big was another figure who was almost the total opposite of the massive fighter. He was short, bearded, but extremely sexy. His name: Ballsar Rockhard, dwarf of dwarves.

"That meat sure smells good," The dwarf grumbled, rubbing his ample stomach.

"Yes, meat good." Big Mc'Largehuge smiled. Unfortunately, Big's brain was as muscled as his arms.

"Yes, meat good" Ballsar shook his head and rolled his eyes. "You're a genious aren't you?"

"Haha. Yes, Big very smartified!" the large man smiled.

"Ok, just cook the ox. I won't ask you any math problems, you smart smart man." The dwarf rolled his eyes again.

The two men sat near a trail. A trail that was very popular. A trail that was so popular that man kender liked to travel on it. Ballsar didn't want to camp here just for that reason. But, Big had wrestled the oxen to death, they couldn't carry it, so here was their campsite.

"Dwarf sexy!" Big Mc'Largehuge laughed loudly, trying to joke with Ballsar, but too stupid to realize he was simply telling the truth.

"Yes, yes he is." Ballsar smiled, waiting patiently for the meat to cook. The first lord of mischief is Imagination.

OOC~
I'd love to put Karina in this thread (seeing how DL Legacy has been officially finished...WOOT!) However, she'd have no reason to be around Kenderhome. So, put Talia in either Sanction, Flotsam, Neraka, Solace...basically anywhere except the elven forests, the dwarven moutains and Kenderhome/more, and i'll throw her in. Flandrake
07/01/2003 2:23 PM

Flandrake had just left the minotaur islands, sailed near the blood sea and couldn't wait to get back to the main land and go back to Icewall then off Ansalon on some place to the west or north west. He was day dreaming to the point of where he didn't hear the the serpant swimming behind his very tasty looking boat. Flandrake awoke from his half sleep by a shadow across him and water dripping down. He turned to see a massive serpant craning itself out of the water.

"Not another one." Flandrake grabbed his sword and jumped up putting his demonic energy behing him he went all the way up to the serpant's head, or were the head would have been if the serpant didn't lunge down and smash through Flandrake's boat.

"Bitch! You know how long that took to build!" He unsheathed his sword and began chanting in an ancient tounge few knew. Red energy appered near his right shoulder then his left the balls shot out and hit the serpant. Flandrake stretched his arms to his side his sword in his left hand. Black wings came out.

The serpant screamed when it got hit by the red energy balls and lunged upward the incoming Flandrake.

Some time later: Flandrake washed up on shore from the blood sea,"Damn serpant of Takhisis I showed her," he said as he passed out near a trail where he saw a small figure walking down the road. Today is a good day to die...

Talia made her way down the road, hoping that she would find some sort of excitement early on in her adventures. So far, she hadn't really seen much of anything, except for rude travelers that gave her a wide berth on the road, and then ran off screaming as she tried to say hello to them. The good thing, however, was that those few travelers had accidentally dropped some interesting trinkets, which were now in some of her various pouches.

It looked like it was getting rather late in the day, so the little kender maid decided that she had better find a place to rest. That's when she noticed the body laying on the side of the road. She walked up to it, curious about the strange figure.
"Hey, you alive?" she asked it softly. There was no answer. However, she was satisfied that the person was dead, and began to rummage through his personal belongings....

Straea, on the other hand, was not doing as well as the kender was. She was extremely upset. She had arrived on Krynn in her favorite way: Appearing in a shower of glittery dust. Unfortunately, that had the habit of scaring most people away, as it did on this day. She didn't really want to be here right now...she had better things to do, but, alas, couldn't do them. She was here on a mission. Her mission, given to her from her, was to find a kender, and make it her lab rat. She had to do this because most of her other test subjects were either tired of being turned into newts or bats, or they were a bit wary of being blown up. Hence her need for a kender.

But, so far she hadn't found any willing ones yet. And now, here she was, walking along a dusty road, daylight coming to a close, and very hungry. Her red and silver traveling robes were dusty, and she was tired as well. Just when she was about to give up and go home and get something to eat, she saw a camp fire. Smiling to herself, knowing that no person could refuse a pretty woman food and rest, she made her way to the camp fire. As she approached it, she noticed that there were two figures sitting at the fire. One was a huge specimen of a human man, and the other was an oddly sexy dwarf. She inhaled deeply, and sauntered up to the two males.
"Care if I join you?"Oh, I'm sorry, is this yours? You must have dropped it. You know, it's a good thing I found it for you. Here you go.

"So anyway, the snail looks up and says, 'what the hell was that for?'. Get it? It took him so long that....oh nevermind!" Ballsar grumbled as Big McLargeHuge stared at him with drool sliding down his chin.

A few minutes went by when Big suddenly let out a roaring laugh. It was so sudden the Ballsar fell off the log which he was sitting on. "Dwarf funny!" the big man slapped his knee.

"You're about as bright as that oxen ass cooking over the fire!" The dwarf grumbled to himself.

"huh?" Big looked at him with a silly smile.

"I said...your hair is nice." Ballsar faked a smile.

"Ah, Thank you!" The large man ran a hand through his greasy hair.

"Don't mention it. Now, is the meat done? I'm starving!" Ballsar asked, receiving a nod and smile from Big.

It was then that someone walked forward into the firelight. "Care if I join you?" came the voice.

Ballsar stood up quickly. Then quickly felt his knees go weak as he saw the sparkly woman that walked forward. "Uh..uh...uh..."

Big also stood up, looking down at the woman. "Come, come, come, come..." he said slowly.

"Too late!" Ballsar finally broke his silence with a laugh.

"Sure, come sit down." the dwarf patted a log between him and the big man.

After the girl sat down, Big cut off peices of meat and passed them around to the dwarf and woman. "Where you from?" he asked, staring at Straea.

"Yes, where are you from? What's your name? Are you married? Do you have any kids? What's your bra size? How many times have you been to the Palanthas zoo? Have you ever seen a jackalope? Do you have any dwarf in you? Would you like some?" The questions just flooded out of Ballsar's mouth. When they finally stopped, all Ballsar could do was stare at the woman.

So, Straea sat there eating, with a large human on one side and a dwarf on the other staring at her like hungry vultures. The first lord of mischief is Imagination.

"Hey, you alive?" she asked it softly. There was no answer. However, she was satisfied that the person was dead, and began to rummage through his personal belongings....

Flandrake felt small hands going through one of his belt pouches, he groaned and rolled away. He opened his eyes to see a kender staring curiously at him. He bolted up and looked at the kender's hands to see him putting a ring in one of his pouches. Demon anger engulfed him and he stood and went for his sword which he found was missing, 'How the hell can that kender fit all that in her pouch?' He snorted and clenched his fist cracking his knuckels, "Empty all of your pouches now!" Today is a good day to die...

07/06/2003 7:03 PM

Straea sat where she was, processing the flood of questions that had just been hurled at her like a javelin. She ate her food slowly, trying to figure out just how to answer the dwarf, all the while aware of the fact that both he and the all-brawn-zero-brain human were staring at her breasts. Finally, she lowered the food from her mouth, swallowed a huge chunk, and then looked directly at the dwarf, her emerald green eyes glittering in the fire light.
"I'm not from around here. My name is Straea, no I'm not married, and no, I don't have any kids. Bra size is 38 D. I've never been to the Palanthas zoo, no, I've never seen a jackalope, and maybe I'd like some dwarf in me when the time and place is right," she said in a rushed manner. She flashed a warm, charming smile at the dwarf. "Now, you get to answer my questions. Who are you? Who's your dull companion? Are you married? What do you do for a living? How many women have you slept with? And why are you so damn sexy for a dwarf?"
Straea sat back and awaited the answers...

MEANWHILE

Talia jumped two feet into the air. A dead man was talking to her. As far as she knew, dead men didn't talk at all. What a wonderful way to start her adventure. She handed the man back a few of the articles he was yelling about.
"Here you go, they must have fallen out of your pocket," she said. "Good thing I'm here, otherwise who knows what would have happened to them."
She eyed the man carefully, and it occured to her that he didn't look particularly happy that she was there to help out.
"I'm Talia Burrfoot. I must say, I've never met a dead person before. What's your name?"Oh, I'm sorry, is this yours? You must have dropped it. You know, it's a good thing I found it for you. Here you go.

Ballsar sat there listening to Straea's answers, his pants getting tighter by the minute. He couldn't keep his eyes of the sparkling woman, something about her made his heart beat harder than ever. When she asked her questions, Ballsar took a deep breath and answered....

"I am THE Ballsar Rockhard, Dwarf of Dwarves. My dull companion? Oh, this is Big McLargeHuge. He is just some fighter that has been following me around ever since we played strip poker back in Kalaman. Nope, I am not married. For a living? I do a little of everything. I haven't slept with any women! I don't know why one would think that........ As for me being so sexy, it just comes with the package!" Ballsar smiled and scooted closer to the woman. It wasn't long before his arm was over her shoulders and he was cupping what at first he thought were cantalopes. But then, Ballsar remembered that he had never eaten a cantalope and it must be something else.

Big McLargeHuge just sat across the fire with a smile on his face. The first lord of mischief is Imagination.

Talia followed Flandrake as he continued on his way. Just because he said he had been knocked out didn't mean anything. After all, he could have died, come back to life, and then gotten selective amnesia. Besides, she had a feeling that he was going to need her help before long.
"Where are you going? Is it any place fun? Do you think we'll see any goblins on the way?" she asked as she skipped down the road after him.

---------------

Straea calmly picked up Ballsar's hand and removed it from around her shoulders. Once the arm was removed, she continued to hold his hand. It wasn't that she had minded where his arm and hand had been...it was just that she didn't like having an audience. Besides, this was definately not the time.

She glanced over at the galoot sitting next to her, and rolled her eyes. Big was definately one to live up to his name, and there was no doubt that his muscles had some use. However, she didn't like him all the same. She wondered if there was a way to get rid of him.

Straea turned her attention back to the sexy dwarf. She gave him her most charming smile, and inhaled deeply, nearly busting her blouse at it's seems as she did so.
"I need help with something," she breathed. "Can you help me?"Oh, I'm sorry, is this yours? You must have dropped it. You know, it's a good thing I found it for you. Here you go.

"Where are you going? Is it any place fun? Do you think we'll see any goblins on the way?" she asked as she skipped down the road after him.

"I'm heading to a town called Solace, they build their homes in the trees. And I'm sure we'll run into goblins, ogres, giant blood sucking creatures and anything else your strange kender mind can cook up. Not sure if I'll take the Northern route or the Southern though," he said the last part to himself as he thought about it some more,"I'm guessing you just started out on your journey considering how close to Kendermore we are at least I think we're close. Come to think of it I don't know where I am?"

OOC: When do you want the two groups to meet (if you want to call them groups) I'm guessing soon because in DD first post it said kenders went down that road a lot so it's probably somewhere in the west part of Goodlund. Today is a good day to die...

OOC: Sorry about the lapse...been trying to think of what to do next. I think that the two groups should meet up in Solace...but by going by two different roads.

BIC~ Talia pulled out her only map and laid it out on the ground. She motioned for him to look as she examined the map.
"Well, here's Kendermore," she said, pointing at a dot. "And we should be somewhere right about here," here she pointed at a spot a few inches away from where she first pointed, and then traced a path upward, "so I think we should take the north road."
She looked up at Flandrake, wondering what he would say or think...

Straea exhaled and grinned. This was wonderful news! Now she had companions for her trip! She felt great.

Ballsar sat looking at Straea. "Where should we go first? How should I know? This is your story!" he smiled. "So, the decision is up to you." Ballsar then looked at Big McLargehuge, "You should go get some firewood or some food. Or, just go get something!"

The big man nodded and wondered off.

"Now that we're alone..." The dwarf smiled and winked.

***************** Elsewhere*****************

Big McLargehuge wondered around inside a cave, looking desperately for the firewood that Ballsar had told him to find. "Wood....uhhh....caves have wood!" The large man muttered. "Caves have wood and monkey meat!"

The giant man then leaned over and picked up some pine needles. "Wood!!" He exclaimed loudly. "Head back now!" he said to himself after picking up about a dozen dry needles.Boredom's not a burden anyone should bear.

Straea smiled charmingly at Ballsar.

"Yes, we are alone...and that means we can have an intelligent conversation. Do you know where I can find kenders at?"

She smiled at him once more, and leaned forward, eager to hear any news he had.

*************

Talia skipped along, her pigtails bouncing up and down.
"Yup, I've got Wanderlust alright! You know, most kender make this journey on their own. The most famous of kender, Uncle Tas, started out alone, but then he met some really nice people who always needed his help, so he kind of lost his Wanderlust early I guess. I wonder if that's going to happen to me? I mean, I just started out on my journey, and I've met you, and your nice and need my help, so I guess I'll hang around with you for awhile!" she said, taking three deep breaths to complete her speech.

She looked around, and noticed that the surrounding wood's were suddenly very quiet.

"Hey, do you hear anything?"

"Kender? Why in Chemosh's decomposing nutsac would you want a kender for? I try to stay as far away from those bastards as possible." Ballsar grimaced.

"But, this trail is notorious for kender. Why, I bet if you walked down this trail a ways you would find a kender. There are woods up ahead, they say kender are like crows. Pests."

Ballsar picked up his pack just as Big returned. "Come on, lets get moving, Big. The lady wants some kender for some reason. It is now our personal quest to find one for her."

Big nodded and grabbed his pack and started walking down the road. Ballsar put his arm around Straea's waist and walked with her. "Never fear, my dear. I will find one of the sewer rats...I mean..kender for you." He smiled.Boredom's not a burden anyone should bear.

"Funny you should mention rats," she said. "That's precisely why I need a kender at all! You see, I've been doing all sorts of experiments lately, and, unfortunately, the people where I come from have all gotten wise. Seems they don't like chancy irreversible spells, or the possibility of being blown up. So...I have to find a kender."

Straea sighed and looked at Ballsar. She honestly hadn't realized that dwarves could look so...sexy.

"Hey, do you hear anything?"

Flandrake zoned out, he didn't hear what the kender said about him being nice and needing her help. He thought about Solace, he had been there many times, he loved the city in the trees. Just the look of it made him relax. He had many landmarks such as this, all over Ansalon.

The woods was quiet, which was strange because the kender stopped talking.

"Yes, I did hear something. We are about to be attack by bandits and I'm going to kill them all," arrows fired out as several men charged forward swords and maces drawn. Flandrake moved seemingly very slowly to dodge the arrows. He ducked under a sword attack and came up with an upercut shattering the man's chin.

Ballsar eyed Straea after the mention of personal rewards and was instantly ready to help. Standing at attention, he walked over and put a hand to his ear, trying desperately to hear something.

"My spider-senses tell me that there is a kender up the road. It has found another....figure..I can't tell exactly and they are going to be attacked by bandits. Maybe if we hurry, we can help". Ballsar grabbed Straea by the butt, the apologizing, took her hand and they ran up the road.

The lumbering Big McLargehuge was right behind them. Hopefully they could get there in time....Ballsar had to find this woman a kender....the reward would be......amazing!

Ballsar was planning on making a quiet entrance, but Big took it upon himself to pull large amounts of air into his lungs and bellow, "TALLY-HO!!!!!"

"Well, that's it for the suprise..." Ballsar mumbled, eyeing the beautiful Straea out of the cover of his eye.Boredom's not a burden anyone should bear.

Talia swung her hoopak in a wide arch, catching one of the bandits in the crotch.
"Sorry about that," she said with a smile. She continued to fight alongside her companion. "This is fun, huh? Boy, I wish-"
She would have said more, but at that moment she was scooped up into a burlap bag and everything went dark.

Flandrake hit the bandit in the face and caught before he fell to sheild him from the arrows and bolts. He looked at the back which was covered with the projectials. Flandrake tossed him to the ground and whatched as they took the kender,Now why the hell would they actuallywant a kender? Flandrake wondered. Flandrake figured he got rid of his companion and thought about leaving when another arrow whizzed by his head. Flandrake ran forward diving below another arrow assult then picking himself up and finally engaged them in close combat.

Flandrake threw his fist back knocking one to the ground screaming about his nose. He came around with a left punch at a crossbow wielding man. The man went to clutch his face and dropped the weapon. Flandrake snatched it out of the air and half turned to fire at another bandit then flung it at the bandit behind him.

The two remaining drew their swords and ran at Flandrake. Flandrake dashed through the middle of the lunges and ran his hands along the sword preventing them from switching to a slash. He brought his hands into fists and hit both in the face. He could see other bandits retreating after his little display.

Flandrake shrugged it off,"Hope you have fun with the kender," Flandrake yelled as he turned to walk only to hit a charging huge beast of a man. Flandrake fell to the ground,"Never let down your guard, that was the first lesson I taught and now look at me." Flandrake immdently got to his feet and was about to pummel the huge man to a pulp when he saw a very striking woman and a dwarf, he couldn't place something about the dwarf though. "What!? A kender out here already!?" Straea yelped. She looked at Ballsar and Big. "Look, I want that kender, and so we're going to help this guy, whoever he is."

She strode into the midst of the fight, conjured up a dagger, and used it to cut open her blouse, letting all in the area see her lovely green lace bra. Quite a few men stopped and stared, their eyes bulging out of their sockets.
"There, now we don't have to fight all these people," she announced happily. "Alright, who can tell me why that kender was kidnapped?"

Ballsar had to stop and stare at the revealing bra as well, but, he knew that he also had to take advantage of the bandits being...preoccupied. It was then that he noticed that all the remaining bandits had run off.

"What!? Where did the buggers go?" Ballsar looked around. Big was seriously depressed. He wanted to do some killing. Now all of the bad guys had gone away.

"Big want kill monkeys. Slice of weiners!" The large man complained to Ballsar.

"Yes, yes. I know. Slicing off weiners is all good and fun. But, sadly someone took all the fun away!" The dwarf glared at Flandrake. "Oh well, we will do some killin' later, Biggy-boo." He patted the large man on the back and walked over to Flandrake.

"Good to meet you, sir. Name's Ballsar Rockhard. This giant here is Big McLargehuge." The dwarf smiled and extended an extremely sexy dwarven hand.

"Seems that you had a bit of a fight here...and...you....I smell kender!" Ballsar turned this way and that, finally noticing the little bugger. He began to dry heave over and over, because it was well-known that kender were Ballsar's most hated enemy.

"Oh..god....ughh....err......oop..."
Apparently, 1 in 5 people in the world are Chinese. And there are 5 people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother Colin. Or my younger brother Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin.

Flandrake began to think what kind of strange people had just entered the post battle ground.

Flandrake was about ready to walk away from the dwarf's hand. But the dwarf seemed to be having trouble breathing. He didn't look to healthy,"Here drink some of this, I beilve it should keep you from passing out or having breathing problems," Flandrake handed Ballsar a vial with greenish red liquid inside. Straea slapped the vial out of Flandrake's hand and glared at him.
"Why would you want to give him something like that?" she asked. "He doesn't need some foul concoction. I'll show you how to take care of this sort of thing."

She leaned down and smothered the sexy dwarf with kisses and other things, and then straightened up again. She smiled at the men.
"A woman's special attention is all one really needs to feel better," she said. "By the way, my name is Straea. What is your name sir?"

"I'm sure it is," Flandrake picked up his foul concoction and slipped into one of his holders,"It doesn't matter what my name is, go save the kender if you want. I am leaving," Flandrake stood and began to walk away. So many questions so much edge of your seat action! What will happen next?!? Ballsar looked watched the figure named Flandrake walk away slowly. He then looked at Straea, then back at Flandrake, then looked at Straea, then back at Flandrake, then looked at Straea, then back at Flandrake, then looked at Straea, then back at Flandrake, then looked at Straea, then back at Flandrake, then looked at Straea, then back at Flandrake, finally saying....

"Well, aren't you going to stop him? You are the one who needed help, remember!?" The dwarf then sat down with Big McLargeHuge and played a quick game of Monopoly.Apparently, 1 in 5 people in the world are Chinese. And there are 5 people in my family, so it must be one of them. "And you're supposed to be helping me!" she snapped in return. "Fine, I'll go see if I can stop him."

She marched off, taking the rest of her shirt off and tossing it to the side of the road. Leave it to the woman to do everything...
"Flandrake, wait up! I might need your assistance!" she called out. "Dammit, slow down! There's a reward involved!"

She hoped a promise of a reward would slow the man down to a stop. Then maybe she'd be able to conjure up a new shirt and find out who stole her kender and why.Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most-Mark Twain (according to DD that is)

"I don't care about any reward. The kender was taken by some bandits, they'll probably kill her unless they can stand kender," Flandrake turned to see the shirtless women. I hate the easy ones Flandrake turned back having said his peace and started walking off again. So many questions so much edge of your seat action! What will happen next?!?
