The Tavern in flotsom was packed, and the woman in the dark blue cloak was jostled as she sat down in an un-obtrusive corner. A minstrel sat surrounded by many of the patrons, his music drifted back to Dell and she sat forward to listen....

The Warrior, Dell and the Draconian, Viper rode into Viden-town
For they had heard of evil there and meant to bring it down
An overlord with iron hand who rules his folk with fear

The warrior and the sorceress went searching high and low
They meant to find the tyrant who’d betrayed his people’s trust
And bring the monster’s power and pride to tumble in the dust.
They searched through all the town to find and bring him to defeat.

The woman groaned quietly and her blue eyes locked on the minstrel, anger sparking... "Like Hell..." She whispered....

They found him in the tavern and they challenged him to fight.
The tyrant laughed and mocked at them, with vile words and base.
The warrior was too wise for him; his blade clove only air!
And in a breath the deed was done! The tyrant-lord lay dead!

The wife that he had kept shut up they freed and set on high
And Viden-town beneath her hand contentedly did lie.
In triumph out of Viden-town the partners rode again
To find another tyrant and to clean him from his den --
The scourge of evil and the answer to a desperate prayer!

"Oh hell.... we did no such thing... it was all a misunderstanding and an accident!" She growled, her voice a little Too loud. Several looked at her, and the minstrel looked up.

"And what would you know? This is the story as I saw it!" He said.

Dell fisted her hand and glared at him. "I know, that every word is a lie... Because I Was there..." She pulled back her hood of her cloak and allowed her blonde hair to tumble free, her eyes glinting with anger.

The minstrels eyes glinted with glee as he realized his fortune to find this warrior again, perhaps he would get another song......

She glanced at Tyra, Aku, and Sarr'k. "Now, are you SURE you can look over them?"

"Of course we can!" The three Sivaks said, "We're only three years younger them you, Viper!"

"Sorry..." She mumbled, "I'm still really not over it. I get like that."

"WE know, Viper." Sarr'k said and smiled, "Now if you want more stuff go to Flotsam. Not only closest but still lots of draconians still hanging aournd."

"Ok, YOu've convinced me. If i see a single crack--"

"we know, we know! You'll invoke the wrath of the almightly cool Bozak girl!" Tyra shouted. Viper smiled.

"Here i go."

She grabbed her pack and a couple of cloaks to hide the fact she was draconain.

***

She walked into Flotsam feeling rather happy. SHe noticed an uproar in a tavern and smiled, heavily bandaging her hands and cloaking her body. She walked in, unnoticed, and sat down to listen to a bards tale:

The wife that he had kept shut up they freed and set on high
And Viden-town beneath her hand contentedly did lie.
In triumph out of Viden-town the partners rode again

"I know, that every word is a lie... Because I was there..."

She gasped. She recognized that golden hair, the blue eyes and that gaze.

"Miss Rand..." She said, trying not to sound reptilian, (and doing a damn good job too!) condensing her excitement at seeing the old friend and shooting her a look that said, I'm NOT Iris, play along! "My Master....Viper of the Draconians, wishes to speak with you immediatly, about your adventure." (http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

Dell turned her eyes registered shock and joy for a brief moment then she turned back to the minstrel...

"Lucky day, Minstrel...I don't have to beat you senseless and snap that pretty lyre of yours in twian..." She turned, her dark blue cloak swirled around her as she followed the cloaked figure grimly, the mask never showing the joy her heart felt as She walked form the Tavern.

She and the Draconian rounded the corner, and dell turned to her. "My friend...What made you follow? I am glad that you are here though...that man was sorely deserving what i planned to give him..." She said, her eyes drawn to the waters of the blood sea....

PrincessOfDarkness

"Dell!! My friend! I didn't know you were here." She responded, smiling underneath "And you'll have to explain to me what he did, exactly. I only heard the end of it. I merely saw a ruckus being raised in a tavern...."

She followed Dell's gaze to the blood sea, "I am here for supplies: mostly swords..the draconians are hatching in three days! Three days!!" Her joy of seezingDell gaze was temporily overtaken by motherly proudness, "I did not mean to see you at all, but i suppose it can be accounted for. Come back with me to Silvermoon, please! Let's go watch the hatching! But before i get to snap his lyre! No one pisses off my friends and gets away with it! I'll be right back!"

She exited and there was the sound of gasped, followed by screaming, and cracking wood, and then cracking bones, adn then more screaming, and a loud hiss.

Iris walked out uncloaked, with a satisfied smile. "Let's go before i get arrested." (http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

Dell nodded and followed Iris, though her path strayed and the draconian ended up following her friend to the shores of the blood sea....

Dell didn't bother to pull her hood back up, and her golden hair flew in loose waves in the wind. She stared out towards the distant darkness that was the maelstrom, and she hugged herself instinctively as she stared out.

"Blessed Paladine" She murmered. "I had almost forgotten that day... I failed in stopping this disaster... But my friends, and many of the mages that I had helped smuggle from Istar survived the cataclysm..." She said, her eyes haunted from that memory from so many years ago.... indeed another lifetime.

The maelstrom churned the reddish soil up from the bottom of this new sea, turning the water a rusty red, so that many said that the water was really the blood of those who died when the fiery mountain was thrown to Krynn, reshaping its future forever...

She turned and looked to Iris. "Alright...I'm ready to leave... I had to see for myself...now that I have I want to leave, and never look upon it again." She walked back to the docks when she heard a sharp whistle of the city guard.... and the minstrel, his broken lyre in hand, and another of the Tavern's patrons, cradling a broken arm.

"Stop! you two!" The Guard shouted and moved towards them, hand on his sword.

Viper hissed at the other two and sneered at the ministrel. "Do you want another arm cracked? Get out, before i decide to chop you up into little peices and grind your bones into dust for my spell components."

The two of hte scammpered away. "What about the Blood Sea bothers you, Dell? We've damned BEEN to Istar! You think that looking at the sea will make a difference?"(http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

OOC: I don't know how this is going to work out, but I'm going to try and play another character in this Thread. Her name is Dazrin Fallensea, she's a human female of around 21 years of age. She's kind of a warrior/ mercenary/assassin. Whatever pays the bills as they say. Please bare with me.

BIC: The two companions paid her no heed as the girl watched the interaction from the shadows of an alley. Which is how she liked it. Dazrin could take care of herself, no doubt about it, but considering that most would not consider her the most upstanding citizen, it was probably in her best interest to stay out of the passing scirmish. Wouldn't seem like to much of a problem though - the two the tin soldier was yelling at looked like they could take care of themselves.

BIC:Dazrin snickerd to herself as the guard and his injured companion ran like little girls from the scene. Serves them right, she thought to herself.

She sighed to herself as she rhought that maybe it was time to leave this tired little city. She had done what she had come for 1 week ago - Jackren was dead as her employer had requested and the evidence was in hand. The Warrior didn't know why she had been callef into to kill the thief, and she didn't much care. She had a job to do, simply went where the steel was. And her employer this time around had promised 3 steel for Jackren's death, as well as the jeweled armband he wore. "Had worn" Dazrin reminded herself. It's not how much magic you have, it's how you use the magic you have.

Dell watched the girl closely, and frowned.... She did put a restraining hand on Viper's arm. "Let her go for now... We'll keep an eye on her..." She said, tossing her blonde hair over her shoulder.

A soft neigh made Dell turned as Siran pranced over to them... Back in the Guise of a Battlecharger, the Unicorn whickered softly and nuzzled Dell's shoulder.

She scratched under the hackamor of his haltar and grasped the reins in her hand and lead him to back to the town.

Siran snorted and tossed his mane, he walked along placidly beside Dell as they made their way towards the city gates.

"I am as you see, and Siran is already carrying most of my gear..." She said, and Viper noticed that Dell had finally disgarded her old guard uniform, actually had sold it for a heavty price of thirty steel pieces. It had gone to buying suplies, new tack for siran, and new armor for herself.

The armor was well tooled leather, with a dull-steel chainmail shirt over it. The chainmail slapped her thighs as she walked, but made no sound. Her sword had been shined and the edge honed.

"Lets go home..." She said.

Dazrin went up to her room in the Inn, and packed her things. Her weapons and equipment qall tucked away in the compartments hidden in her black suit, she then checked checked the false bottom of her large pack. Feeling the sharp edges of the jewels on the armband she had removed from the dead theif Jackren, Dazrin smiled in satisfaction. The young woman then wrapped herself in her black cloak, pulling the hood deep so only her eyes were visible from the shadows of the cloak.

Picking up her pack, Dazrin went downstairs and maneuvered her way to the bar. She silently dropped a gold coin in the hand of a barmaid as payment for her weeks stay, and left the Inn without another word of gesture to anyone. Making her way through the city, Dazrin made her way toward the gates and turned in the direction of Nerka.

"Home" the assassin/theif muttered to herself, "home, and finally no more payments to the Masters for my training and equipment. Now I owe no-one, nobody will get the profits from my jobs but me." Dazrin smiled at that prospect, in the folds of her black cloak, as she continued in the direction on Nerka. It's not how much magic you have, it's how you use the magic you have.

Dazrin continued making her way home toward Neraka. She made her way slowly, enjoying the quiet of the afternoon since the road seemed nearly deserted. Not a person seemed to travel this day, not a single horse and wagon.

Along the way, Dazrin's thoughts wandered to thoughts of the daywhen she would returned home. The meeting was set to meet with the Masters of The Dark Talon, where the young woman would hand over her 1.5 million steel payment for her training and equipment. The value of the jewel armband hidden in her pack would be the last of that amount, of this Dazrin was sure. Although it was unfortunate that all that money would have to be wasted on the guild Masters, but with no other options to repay her debt with, there was little other choice.

Along the deserted road, the cloaked woman continued to walk. It's not how much magic you have, it's how you use the magic you have.

That theif would not enter Silvermoon, she reassured herself, it would impoosible, and besides i have the others. They'd slice her up so badly.

She grinned at the thought. Her feelings settled, she continued at a slow and steady pace till she returned back to her home. (http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

Dell sat astride Siran, the disgused unicorn pawed the dusty earth under his hooves. In the valley below sat Silvermoon... and Dell smiled...

The ruins where what was left of an ancient elven city, perhaps of the Qualinesti back after the kinslayer wars.... it did not matter, silvermoon was very little more than a pile of rubble, the white marble crumbled to little more than dust... Several new buildings had been constructed in it's wake, and even from this distance, Dell could see the Draconians moving about.

She laughed softly. "who would have thought that a ruined elven city now occupied by draconians would become my home? The Irony of the Gods..." She smiled and glanced at Viper.

Dazrin's travels eventually brought her to what seemed like a pile of rubble Broken buiildings, trashed houses, fallen trees. Whatever hit this place, it must have been huge! the girl thought to herself in shocked surprise. That's when Dazrin noticed all the Draconians walking around. In this destroyed city, and the numbers Dazrin saw, the theif/assassin wondered if there was something valueable somewhere in all that rubble. Maybe in one of those new buildings. Ducking into a damaged building as a patrol of 5 Draconians came by, Dazin pulled out her longsword, for protection, and waited in the shadows.

Perhaps she would find some useful information about this place she could use later. It's not how much magic you have, it's how you use the magic you have.

She wasn't sure how long she had been hiding in the shadows of the delapitated building. Time had seemed to stop in Dazrin's observing of this place. It could have been hours or days, she didn't know. Neither did she know where exactly "this place" was - she had yet to hear a name spoken. Dazrin had spied a few patrols go by, 5 Draconians in each. They had not noticed her yet however. She grinned as this realization brought a memory to mind. A memory of nearly 5 years ago, when she was just 16 and in training.

"Dazrin Fallensea," the voice had said, "for someone so young, you learn quickly and blend in even better than that. For a human you seem to sink into the darkness, almost becoming part of the shadows you stand in. A Lady of the Shadows, one might say."

The girl had stood in the training arena that day, smiling her respect and honor at a person who's face she could not see. A face she had never seen since she had arrived a year earlier and wouldn't see the rest of her teachings. "Thankyou Master", Dazrin had said with a bow, "I will endevor to sink into my surrounds, become as the shadows. The Lady of Shadows."

Dazrin once again returned to present day as she saw another Draconian enter the city, accompanied by a human female warrior. The very ones she had seen in Flotsam! It's not how much magic you have, it's how you use the magic you have.

I can't wait around here forever, Dazrin thought to herself, I have to get home to Nerka and get ready for the meeting with the Masters.

Looking around for a way out of the building she was in, the Lady of Shadows realized she would have to crawl through the rubble to get out. She started to dig, making her way out of the area. She was almost clear, when, in process of digging, Dazrin noticed she had unearthed something shiny. After a few minutes of uncovering the object, she realized it was an egg of some sort. A big, valueable looking egg!

With a secret grin to herself, the woman finished digging up the treasure. Looking around quickly, she saw that her activities had gone unnoticed. She stood up, tucked the egg in her cloak, and made tracks out of the ruins of the city. "But milady--"

"Shut up." She said and cut him off, "So Dell, follow me and i shall show you some quarters. There not all that much, i'm afraid, considering the fact this is a ruined city, but hey, it's life."

She led her down a series of hallways, shouting commands at some and greetings at other. She opened a door (which promptly fell down) into a room.

It wasn't too big.....but for the human it would serve. A canvas feather-filled mattress lay in one corner, a pillow thrown on top. There was a shelf or two, and that was it.

Viper was about to comment on the fact that it was a sad excuse for a room when her stomach growled, and another problem arose. "You don't eat raw meat, do you?"(http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

It had still been light out when she had left the ruins - it was now well into night, judging from the glow the white moon cast on the ground. Still dark enough to hide me though, the theif/assassin realized with satisfaction.

OOC: Sorry guys, but since I haven't heard from you in a couple days on opinions on what to do next, I've decided to have Dazrin sell the egg to her contact for the rest of the money she needs. She doesn't realize her mistake anyway, so I figured it can make things interesting later on. :D

BIC: After two days on the road, Dazrin finally arrived back in Neraka. Deciding she needed to get her funds right away, she slipped down an alley bathed in shadows and filth. Neraka was known to house scum, but even the worst of the worst didn't come here if they didn't have to. Putting aside the pack that held both the egg as well as the original jewelled bracelet, the young woman bent to remove the sewer grate that was at her feet. Once it was out of the way, Dazrin retrieved her pack and climbed down the ladder that led to the underground tunnels of the city.

Wading through the filth, Dazrin kept her hood pulled low over her head and made her way through the twists and turns of the sewer until she found her destination.

"Who goes there?" the goblin snarled to the figure in black.

"It's me Grog", Dazrin snapped in perfect goblin, "Is he here?"

The creature lost some of his bravado as he reconized the vioce of the person he knew only as Lady of Shadows. A lady that scared the crap out of him. Dazrin snickered inside her hood as the worthless lookout began to shake.

"He's here, says he knew you were coming soon." Grog open the door to the inner chamber and looked at the woman again. Grinning greedily, the goblin asked, "The Lady do it? The Lady bring back the master's item?"

"Such questions could lose you your tongue, Grog...or worse. Be wary." The woman hissed as she pushed past him and moved inside.

Glancing back at the door, she waited until it was closed until she spoke to the man accross the room. Watching the door slam behind her, Dazrin moved into the room, scanning around as she did so.

OOC: I haven't decided on the wording of the exchange between Dazrin and her "friend". Will write more when I do. :)It's not how much magic you have, it's how you use the magic you have.

Viper shrugged at Dell, "If you eat raw meat that's good, if not you can have the rations for my pack. I'm going to check on the eggs."

WIth that, she left and travelled down a long and complicated hallway.

"Ahhh, Viper's back!" Sarr'k shouted, "What took ya? Heard you brought a human woman back...good eats?"

"No, you moron." She replied, slapping the Kapak upside the face, "that's a dear friend of mine. No touching her. She's cool. How's the eggs?"

"No one came. Arkron wanted to check somethign out but we said no."

"Cool, Sarr'k." With that, she walked in and bathed in the glow of the eggs.

She could sense somethign wrong, something different. Hastily she counted.

And counted them again.

An egg was missing. A gold, and aurak.

She slammed the door back open and nearly skewered the watching three, "THERE'S ONE MISSING, YOU IDIOTS! WHERE IS IT?!"

"An egg missing?" One asked, "What do you mean, no one came through."

Viper was gone, up the stairs that led to Dell's room. She peeked her head and growled, "Someone's goign to die a long and painful death. An egg is missing. You coming or not, meet me at the gates in five minutes."

"Are we alone?" Dazrin asked the dark haired man sitting across from her at the desk. With an apprieative glance that the man couldn't see, the young woman noticed that there were were a few new weapons lining the walls. A double-handed bastard sword, a pike....and a Dragonlance.

"As always", the smooth-talking man replied, "do you have it?"

"As always", Dazrin retorted with a chuckle as she pulled the jeweled armband from her pack and tossed it on the desk. "Along with the prove you required." With this, she produced another sack from the larger pack. This one had dried blood on it.

Credock momentarily stopped investigating his new collector's item as he leaned farward to inspect the contents of the sack. The appearance of the theives head pleased him.

"Very good, M'lady", Credock said with a smile as he leaned back in his chair, "once again you have done well. In nearly five years of our transactions, you have never failed to disappoint me....Very good indead." He smiled again as he looked the female up and down. Coming around the table and walking up to Dazrin, he moved to pull her hood back, "You know, you and I have always been a good team. I want something, you get it, and you get paid. We could make a good team in other ways as well....Credock smirked as he let the inuendo hang between them.

Dazrin smiled as she playfully swatted the the theives' hand away. "Now Credock, you know my rules - keep business and pleasure seperate. Speaking of business, I brought you something extra. Enjoying the way, the man's eyes lit up at the prospect of the gift, Dazin bent to her pack once more and produced the egg.

"I found it in some ruins. I don't know what is, but it looked valueable and thought the payment could help me out. I also know your love for the rare." With this the cloaked woman sat on the edge of the desk, watching as Credock gingerly picked up the gold egg. It was clear on his face that he to was unsure what it was. It was also clear that he was pleased, and when Credock was pleased Dazrin got paid nicely. In her hood, the woman smiled proudly to herself.

Credock set the egg inside a box and locked it. He set the book aside as he stood up and picked up another key and stood up. going to the door, he called to grog to come inside and then left the room. After 15 minutes of watching the goblin stare at her warily, Credock returned - this time with a sack that jingled with the promise of steel.

The dark-haired human glowered at the goblin and jerked a thumb toward the door. Head down and silent, Grog left the room and closed the door.

"Now that the rifraff is gone", Credoc said as he walked walked back to the desk and sat down, we can get back to business. You're payment for a job well done - 500 Steel for the armband and 1000 Steel for the extra trinket of the egg. Do good work, get good rewards that's what I always say. Count it, it's all there."

Credock sat back patiently as Dazrin counted her payment, smiling as she realized he spoke the truth. Scooping her money back into the sack, she tucked into an inside pocket of her cloak.

"Thanks Credock. Remember if you need me, I'll be around. A pleasure as always." With that, she brushed her gloved fingers across the mans cheek as she stood up and left the room without another word.

The Next Night:

Again covered from head to toe in black, Dazrin stood in front of the Dark Talon Guild Masters. Usually meeting with these 3 people intimidated the woman, but today she was calm. She knew why she was here and she knew she would not disappoint them.

"Lady of Shadows, you know why you have been called before the council?" The one in the center asked, though weather the person was male or female was unknown due to the muffle that was caused by the masks each Master wore.

"I do." The woman answered.

"Your paymant for materials used in your 5 year training is now due, Lady. That amount is 1.5 million Steel. Do you have this?"

"I do", the woman repeated and then handed money sack to the man that was motioned to retrieve it. The sack was then handed up to the Council where they counted it and then confered together quietly.

"Excellent. Your payment has been recieved and marked. Welcome to the Guild Lady of Shadows. You are no longer an iniate, but a full member of the ranks. Know that on this day whenever your services are needed, you alone will now reep the rewards. The only thing the Guild requires is loyality. Breakage of this loyal will mean your immediate death. Know this and remember it."

The Lady of Shadows humblily bowed her aqquience and when she was dismissed, made her way through the hallways of the undergound complex that led to the street. Above ground now, she made her way through the darkness to her home. The home of Dazrin Fallensea, common citizen and cook at a nearby restaurant.

Going inside and making her way to the hidden area in her basement, Dazrin cleaned and put away her uniform and equipment. After triple checking that everything was where it should be, the woman sealed the secret entrance, and went upstairs to bed. She had to work a double shift at The Golden Dagger tomorrow.

Dell reacted entirely on reflex, she didn't even pause to mull the situation over, she grabbed her pack and ran down the rickety steps back to the clearing. Siran met her and accepted the pack as she attached it to the back of his saddle.

"I heard....we're going?" He asked as she situated herself on the saddle.

"Of course we're going... we owe Iris much, I could not allow one of her children, or any of those younglings fall to harm." She snapped.

Siran's ears lay back against his head for a moment before shaking his head and mane. "same old Dell.... Good to have you back Captain." He snickered and then raced to the gates.

10am and the Golden Dagger restaurant was already crowded. Dazrin had been slaving in the over-heated kitchen for two hours, and it didn't look like she was going to get a break anytime soon.

Dazrin wiped her hands on her already dirty apron as she tucked a picece of her dark hair under the hair net she was made to wear here. Grumbling to herself as she finished the meal she was making, she then handed it to the barmaid who had walked in. The waiitress shook her head.

"This one wants his lunch delivered by the cook. I don't know why, but he's kind of cute, so i didn't have the heart to refuse him." The girl giggled and did a bad job of looking apologetic.

"I don't have time for this, I have to start on the lunch special Caz!" Dazrin grumbled as she picked up the plate again, "What table is he at?"

"5...in the corner."

Dazrin walked over to the table and set down the plate. Distracted and frustated, it didn't occur to look at the person she was serving, "Your breakfasr sir. I hope you enjoy it."

"Oh, I'm sure I will M'lady. Your cooking is always excellent."

Dazrin looked up as she reconized the voice. Seeing his long black hair and captivating brown eyes, Dazrin nearly fainted as she reconized Credock. Smiling to cover all other reactions, she replied, "You flatter me sir. Well, unforunately my kitchen calls. Enjoy your meal."

Forcing herself to look away from Credock, Dazrin turned and went back to the kitchen. Leaning her forhead angainst the closed door, Dazrin forced herself to stay calm.

Your cooking is always excellent. he had said. He had been in the Golden Dagger before, but had never requested his food brought by the cook. So why now?. It had to be a coincidence, Dazin thought as she resumed preparing the linch menu, it was clear on Credock's face that he had not reconized her.

Dazrin Fallensea or Lady of Shadows, the woman knew how to read Credock Bloodwolf.

Viper waited impaitently at the gates for her friend. When saw Dell approach, riding Siran, she nodded once but did not flash the smile she normally gave her friend.

"I can track it so far, but after that we're going to have to hope that somone knows where the egg went."

Akuu came up to her and raised an eyebrow-ridge, "the eggs will hatch while your gone."

"I'll survive."

She took a few steps out of the gates and sniffed the air, tasted it with her tongue, "Neraka. The egg thief went to Neraka." (http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

Siran stood still as stone as Iris situated herself behind Dell. Then from the dark grey star on his forhead, a shimmer of light ran across his body, adding to his strength, and transforming him from sturdy battle-trained stallion, to shimmering white unicorn.

His horn shone silver in the early morning light as he bolted forward, heading west, towards Neraka.....

After nearly working at the Golden Dagger for two days straight, Dazrin was exhausted as she dragged herself into her small home and up the stairs to her bedroom. What was only supposed to be a simple double shift at the resturant had turned into one drawn out cooking spree as some travelling caravan of perfomers had taken up shop in a nearby Inn as the passed through Neraka on there way to their next destination. It was rumored that the next destination was the elven lands of Silvanesti, but knowing what rumors were like, Dazrin wasn't sure how valid the location was.

Yawning as she fell into bed, Dazrin looked at the time-piece on her wall. 1am. And she had to be back at the Golden Dagger to prepare breakfast at 6am.

Siran stopped his wild gallop just outside of Neraka, and with a toss of his head, the silver horn shimmered out of existance and his coat dulled to a dappled grey again.

"We're here...." He said and pawed at the ground. Dell nodded and began to re-braid her hair. She was thankful that she no longer wore her old guard-uniform, or the armor of Paladine.

"I'll go on ahead... would be better if we separated for now. Contact Siran if you run into trouble." She paused for a moment, taking stock of her equipment, and checking over her new armor.

"I'm actually glad that Paladine has renounced his hold on me as his Champion... If Circumstances hadn't changed, we might have had to fight against each other...." she said and urged Siran into a walk. Now, Dell looked like any common Merc, and was accepted through the gates with little problem.

"Yeah, and i would of owned you. I still have the medallion, most of the time I don't wear it. I"m still the Champion of Darkness, it's more part-time now. Thank gods" She replied, the words there but the sarcasm that normally followed wasnt.

Having only a little problem with the guards ("I'll kill you." "Fine, you can pass") She entered Neraka heavily clothed and bandaged. As the moons began to slowly descend, she decided that the search would be more efficient if she started someplace obvious, like an Inn.

She entered the Golden Dagger Inn and was about to start bursting into rooms when she picked up the egg scent again. Immediatly following it up to a room, she knocked three times on the door. (http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

OOC: Where are you going with this, PoD? Do you need me for it, because Dazrin isn't in the Golden Dagger. Even if she was, she no longer has the egg. Not that she would be reconizable as the one who took it anyway. :D

2 Days before:
After the female cook had left and resturned to her kitchen in The Golden Dagger, Credock Bloodwolf had finished his breakfast and then returned to his hidden sactuary under the sewers.

Going into is weapon covered office and ordering Grog to see that he was not disturbed, the theif sat down with the small box he had put the egg in - the strange gold egg that The Lady of Shadows had just recently brought him. Unlocking the box and carefully lifting it out, Credock examined it carefully, almost lovingly. Even with all the information his contacts had, they couldn't help with finding out what this little tresure was.

Treasure, the man thought to himself with a smile, now that Lady of Shadows is one treasure I'd like to have for myself. Even with that mask that muffled her voice and shrouded in black, Credock knew that his best informant, who had become his friend over the years, was a woman. A woman he had feelings for, though he knew she just thought his comments were leud come-ons.

Swearing explictly, she left the room and hastily also left the inn. This was no time for food and sleep, but her mind wanted the latter very much.

Current Day
After only 5 hours of sleep, Dazrin had been exhausted when she dragged herself out of bed at 6am. The day went on, until night once again fell and she returned home. Just for the hell of it, she decided to check the spot where she had told Credock to leave messages for her. She had not seen him for nearly 3 days now, not since he was in the resturant after she had completed her last assignment. Dazrin smiled when she saw the piece of paper inside the box, and headed to the basement to get her stuff.

3 hours later
As 3 days before The Lady of Shadows and Credock Bloodwolf were together in his hidden underground santuary.

"You have another assignment for me?"

"Actually, no. I just wanted to thank you again for a job well done. The armband is a wonderful edition to my stock....and the extra little gift went for a fantastic price.

"You sold it?"

The dark-haired theif nooded. "You see M'lady, I was finally able to find someone who knew what that liitle egg was. It seems it's a Draconian egg, and my source seemed quite eager to get his hands on it. He wouldn't say why of course, but considering where he's heading soon, I doubt that anything nice is going to happen with. No matter - it's out of the city and not our problem anymore.

"And do you know where it's heading?" the mysterious woman asked, while perching on the desk.

"I do, but just the general loctation. Silvanesti."

Three hours later, nothing turned up, and Viper was raging mad.

She was about to threaten the entire damn city to give her the egg when she caught a hint of a scent. Not alot, but it was worth a shot.

Her thoughts immediatly came to the conclusion it was the same girl who had intruded on her and Dell's conversation.

She followed the scent into an alleyway, quickly slitting the throat of the goblin who was guarding a secret passage. It was cleverly hidden--had she not been looking for it she would not have found it.

Her vision adjusted quickly to the darkness in the room, noticing the glow of two figures--one small, slight build, and no doubt the same person they'd seem in Flotsam and another brute. She caught only one would of the conversation

"Silvanesti."

She sweared under her breath and put herself in the little light, so the two humans could see her and said in in very clear common:

"You're dealing with an angry bozak. If you do not know how angry bozaks react to egg theives, then perhaps i shall impale with my claws and give you a demonstration."

The Lady of Shadows spun around at the voice, causing Credock to have to grab her as he stood so she wouldn't fall off the desk. Flashing him a grateful smile she forgot he couldn't see, the disguised Dazrin got to her feet and stood beside her male companion. Before she could say anything to the female Draconian, Credock spoke up.

"I assure you, we wish no touble here. The loss of your egg was purely a mistake. My friend here didn't know what it was when she took it, she simply was on here way home and found it on the way. We wish no fight with you Draconian, for we would surely lose. Perhaps we could come up with some arrangement?"

: There's trouble...: Siran sent to Dell. She turned towards him, and then looked for Iris. Only not to find her. She walked on, Siran following till he tensed.

:There, ahead...go there... that was where she went... I can catch her scent as well as her anger...:

Dell left Siran standing there, knowing full well that he would allow no one to wander off with him, and finding the passage, slipped in.

She could hear them before she saw them and she slowly drew her sword as to make no sound clearing the scabbard. She listened carefully, hidden perfectly in the darkness, shrouded in her cloak.... She waited.

"Mayhaps we could find a way to help each other," Credock continued, as he put himself a bit in between The Lady of Shadows and the Draconian, "you want your egg back - which we didn't know was yours - and we want to save a fight. Surely, there are possibilities, no?"

Dazin couldn't believe it. Credock was bargining with the Bozak. Even though they couldn't have known her as Dazrin when she accidently took the egg...she had been dressed as she was now, and had't giveen her name on their first encounter...and she truly had not known what the egg was at the time, Dazrin was not sure how well the Draconian would be reasoned with. As she gently took hold of Credock's hand in her gloved one - a symbol of solidarity, she told herself - she found herslf hoping that the Draconian would take her friends offer. By the time the Humans and the Draconian arrived outside the boarders of Neraka, the group of 20 Ogres had the situation more than under control. They had it cut off the road in a deserted area, where nothing could be seenor heard. Credock had trained the group well.

Not waiting to see if the Draconian was coming, the theif and his employee approached the over-turned wagon where the lead ogre had two human performers by the neck.

"Is it here? Did you find it?"

The Ogre nodded and grunted to one of his bethren. Beling his size and strenght, the second Ogre lifted a small box out of the rubble of the wagon and brought it over to The Lady of Shadows.

Setting the box on the ground and kneeling, the woman guestured for the Ogre to step back. When he obeyed, she carefully opened the box and unwrapped the contents within. Seeing the unharmed gold egg laying inside, brought a sigh of relief from under her mask.

Locking the box and standing up with it in hand, The Lady of Shadows reported to Credock, "It's here. It's safe."

Almost in unison, both of them said, "Honor us how?"It's not how much magic you have, it's how you use the magic you have.

The Lady of Shadows was about to speak up, make some excuse for not going. But Credock caught her eye and slightly shook his head. Making his way over to her side, he whispered, "I know something is probably going on, but I also get the feeling it wouldn't be a smart idea to refuse her. Just watch your back."

"And you watch yours. We'll stick together."

"As always, M'lady", he responded with a smile, "and who knows, maybe I'll finally get to see you with that mask off."

OOC: sorry all....

BIC: Dell and Siran had watched the entire exchange and she was leaning against Siran's shoulder. The Stallion snorted and shook his head, and the two looked at each other.

"Don't look at me, for once, I have no clue as to what she's doing...." Dell said and the stallion snorted again, and allowed Dell to climb back into his saddle. She turned him towards the group and allowed Siran to wander into their midst.

"Heading home are we?" She asked though she already knew the answer... She thought it best not to try to raise Viper's already dangerous anger...

PrincessOfDarkness

"Indeed we are," Viper replied flatly. She then continued in a whisper only Dell could here, "Silvermoon is not visible without magic. I want to see what they did. That's the same girl we saw in Flotsam."

"I will go on foot, and bring you two with me. Dell, meet us there. Take this egg, please. If they say anything, tell me who it was so i can slit their throats." She handed the chest to Dell, hastily scribbling a note and placing it inside, "Ask for Aku, Tyra, or Sarr'k. And do refer to yourself by your no-longer-applicable title, and your once-full name. Dell nodded and accepted the egg carefully. she wrapped it in her cloak and siran took off at a swift run....shifting as he did so, knowing they would reach Silvermoon long before the draconian and her guests.

Siran snorted and slowed to a trot, as the gates of Silvermoon came within sight.

"I come from Lady Viper! I am Cindellaris! Champion of Light! I seek one or all of three, Aku, Tyra, Sarr'k!" She shouted at the gate guards who didn't seem too willing to allow her entry, but she knew better than to show the egg to the gate-guards, they would, without a doubt think that it was she who stole it.

"GET GOING!" She snarled "Be assured if you do not Viper WILL HEAR OF THIS!" She spat and this startled the two into action.

"I'll go." Tyra volunteereed, "If the champion wants something, i'll take it. And besides, i'm oldest."

Sarr'k opened her mouth to comment but decided against it. Tyra marched out and met Dell at the gates.

She bowed respectfully to the human, "What is it you wish of me, Champion of Light? Where is Mistress Viper? Do you bring word of her?"

"Perhaps you would be more comfortable within your chambers...i am aware you were given some. Shall we talk there? Shall i bring along my other two companions?" (http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

"No doubt she's brought them here to die," Sarr'k commented coldly, "She dosen't even let us touch them, you it's a wonder."

"Strange, too," Tyra commented, "Late hatching. They should have hatched already. Maybe they're waiting for Viper," She added jokingly.

"Shall we take you down to the egg chamber, Mistress?" Asked Sarr'k, "Keep the egg covered, if you would. Tyra, Aku, go back down there. I'll meet you there."

"Viper has been paranoid since she's returned from the end of her adventure. We're not as old as her, but she trusts us. She's not altogether as kindly or as nice as she was when Kang was alive. A great loss, that was to her, to all of us. Everyone loved Kang. Collapsed completely when she came here. then she got over it and she was completely new. Leader-like. Lost alot of her sarcastic wit. The hammer of reality bashed her on the head real badly."

"It's strange though," continued Sarr'k, "She talks of you so highly. You're this and that, and yet so perfect in everyway, but yet so fragile and innocent. Seeing Cindellaris, Champion of Light, dressed simply is kind of a shock. I was kind of half-expecting an angel to show up or something."

BY the time she was finished, they had reached the chamber. Aku pushed open the door to reveal the egg chamber.

Possibly the biggest place in the ruins, the eggs were lined up on shelves like would be chickens, each one organized and catagorized. In front of each was hastily written common, marking who was mother, father, what type etc. Also, each was supported on a small pillow, leaning up against the wall precariously. Sarr'k placed the one she was holding into an empty spot as Tyra mumbled about the late hatching.

The Lady of Shadows and Credock had seen an the exchange between the Draconian Viper and the warrior-woman Dell. They could not hear what they were saying however. Credock nuged the woman beside him as the Draconian handed over the egg, and the warrior took it and set off on her stallion at a trot.

Looking up into the sky, The Lady of Shadows realized just how hot she was getting in her all black, all covering uniform. I'm going to have to cool off soon, or risk passing out. She realized in dismay. Although it was not forbidden to show people her real face - the only rule was not to dime out any other guild members - the young woman had wanted to keep her identity a secret as long as possible. Where Credock was concerned, it was a boundry between them. A safety zone somehow, against the strange feelings that passed between them each time they met. It's not how much magic you have, it's how you use the magic you have.

I believe my egg-snatching friend should see it. You," She motioned to Credock, "Get a fire going if you wish, i don't care. Go hunt, really, it dosen't matter. Just get off my tail."

She scampered up the tree with relative ease and leaned against the branch, listening to the noises of the world around and watching the sun set.

The Lady of Shadows shrugged when the Draconian said she should be able to see Silvermoon. She didn't know that it was not seen under certain circumstances, or what those circumstances were. In truth, the woman didn't know how she had come across the rubble, or that the rubble was in fact a city.

As Credock started a fire, The Lady of Shadows went to see if she could find a lake, pond, or stream....anything she could use to cool off! Finally her prayer was answered as she found a small stream nestled in between some trees. Satisfied that she would be hidden well enough to cool off, the young woman quickly stripped off her uniform, the clothing underneath, all the way down to her underclothes. Comfortably cool, but still decently coved, Dazrin stepped into the stream and started splashing around ducking her hair in the water until the strands dripped down the sides of her face.

***********************************************************
Having finished the fire and hunted for some dinner, Credock was starting to worry that his Lady of Shadows had not returned yet. She had remembered she had said something about cool off, so after he was done his work, he started off in the direction she had went. After a few minutes he came upon a stream - and a young woman bathing in it, playing as a small child would have. He smiled at her carefree spirit. She was quite striking as well - straight brown hair cut to her chin, a thin, athletic body. Quite striking in dead. Stepping a bit closer, Credock winced as a twig snapped.

************************************************************
Dazrin stopped short as she heard a twig snap. Glancing to the left, where she had left her clothes and uniform, she silently cursed herself for being so stupid.

"Who's there?" she called out, her back still turned.

"I'm sorry M'lady. I was looking for a friend of mine. A woman dressed in black."

Dazrin rolled her eyes and cursed Dammit, Credock. Openly she asked, "Sir, could you please hand me my clothes?" She pointed to the pile at the left of the stream.

Credock nodded a silent ascent as he walked over to the pile of clothing on the ground. As he saw the mask of The Lady of Shadows within the bundle, the man gasped slightly but held his tongue. He simply tossed the clothing to the young woman, who caught it with ease as she stepped out of the water. She said nothing to Credock, but the man caught the defiant flash in her deep brown eyes. Eyes that he reconized!

"You - from the Golden Dagger! Credock muttered in shock.

Getting dressed and back into her uniiform, the woman replied, "You don't know what you're talking about. I don't know who you think I am, Credock, but I've never worked in an Inn." Once dressed with only her mask to put on, Dazrin walked up to her friend who was nearly a head taller then her, "It's safer this way. Please understand."

Smiling as the woman stroked his face for a second, Credock Bloodwolf nodded reluctantly. He didn't like it, but he understood. Still, he had to ask.

"Will you tell me your name?"

Dazrin considered, her head tilted slightly to the side. Then grinning, she said, "Maybe one day - over breakfast."

Then she replaced her mask, and together the two friends walked back to camp,

When Credock and The Lady of Shadows returned to where they were camping, they found the Draconian still in the tree where she had been when they left. Not wanting to disturb her, the two humans quietly hate their shares of Credock's earlier hunt, then stetched out to watch the constellations appear in the night sky. Viper laughed quietly, pulling off the meat from the bone the man had roasted earlier. The two of them had fallen alseep...how easy it would to slit both throats. When the small meal was done, she glanced up at the night sky and the constellations and paid her respects to each one. A grudging likness in Paladine, a devoted faithfulness to her Queen. Shrugging, the night passed by as she took all the watches and smiled to herself. Her home was near.

Nudging the egg-snatcher awake with her foot, she grunted. "Up." After, she moved on to Credock and also woke him up not-so-nicely. She waited for them to pack so they could return.

The Lady of Shadows, wrapped in the thick black cloak that was part of her uniform, woke with a start as she felt a rough kick in the ribs. Seeing the Draconian do the same to Credock, the woman got up and started packing both their things. As Credock gave the Draconian a dirty look and started to open his mouth, The Lady of Shadows tossed him his pack. Credock caught it in mid-air and shot an inquirying look at his female friend. A look that was answered with a shake of her masked head. Credock looked at her, at the Draconian, and back at her. Reaching a decision, the dark-haired theif closed his mouth and hefted his pack.

Catching the sarcastic tone in the Draconian's voice, both thief and assassin nodded at her question about food and water. Mainly because, as The Lady of Shadows had packed their things, she had noticed that Credock had thought ahead and packed away some of the meat scraps fom the nights dinner as well as some of the water from the stream. Because it was not salt water, they could drink it safely if they got thirsty during the days hot trek. Dazrin started slightly as the Draconian touched her, but stayed her ground. She was also confused about the statement about magical artifacts. The young assassin didn't like magic, didn't trust magic, avoided magic anytime she could. Since she never used or had any artifacts herself, she couldn't understand why Viper thought she had any Magical Artifacts with her.

Then she remembered. The armband Credock had sent her to Flotsam for must have been magical! Almost as soon as she finished the thought, The Lady of Shadows saw Credock redden and look apologetically at her, reading her thoughts.

The woman sighed as she answered the question, "Yeah, I see something. A rough looking city."It's not how much magic you have, it's how you use the magic you have.

Viper raised an eyebrow-ridge. And calmly responded by bitch-slapping him across the face, hard enough to displace a couple of scales and give him a long bleeding line, "Do not ever talk to me like that. Ever," She responded rather calmly in the same language, "I can decide who i bring. It is not your place to question my decision. Hand me your sword."

He reluntantly gave it to her. She responded by plunging it through his chest. The draconian became stone, and then crumbled. She ordered Dazrin and Credock in with a wave of her hand.

Having watch Viper kill the other Draconian and it crumple, both humans quickly made their way inside when Viper motioned them to. Neither person was afraid of the surroundings, but both also knew that since they were not on there home territory, it would not be in their best interests to anger Viper of her friends.

As Viper announced that Dazrin and Credock would share a room, the young woman flushed deeply within her mask. Dammit, there's no way I can continue keeping things from him while sharing a room! And we have no idea how long we'll be here! And for that matter, why are we here? What does Vuper want with us?

She was just about to vioce he questions as Viper left the room.

"Great, just great" Credock muttered as he scanned the room. Tossing both his and the Lady of Shadows packs in the corner, he flopped down on thee bed. Than as if rememebering he had a roommate, he sat up quickly. He realized that the assassin probably had not seen his actions as she was staring out the small window, lost in her own thoughts. Credock walked over and layed a hand on her shoulder.

"Any ideas why they want us here?" he asked.

Dazrin took her mask off, glanced at the hand on her shoulder, but didn't didn't remove it, and looked back out the window. "Since Viper retrieved the egg safe and sound, I have no idea why she brought us back here. But I'll be on my guard, that's for sure. It figures though."

"What does?" Credock asked, concerned at the bitter tone in his friends vioce.

"I go out on a limb to get you something extra, get in trouble, and not only drag myself into a potentially dangerous situation - I bring you right along with me!"

Dazrin slammed her hand down on the inside window ledge in frustration, running her gloved hand along it, than up the sides of the window. To her regret, she found the window was secured tight. Suddenly the woman spun on him, causing Credock to take a startled step back.

"You should have told me that damn armband was magical! You know how I feel about magic Credock! Damn, if it hadn't been for that stupid armband, I wouldn't have even been able to see this place. Why did you send me anyway? Why not send one of your own men?"

Having only seen the woman with her uniform on, Credock never knew how emotions affected her before. But as his friend stood before him, her face was flushed, her hands were clenched inside her gloves, and her deep brown eyes were flashing with anger. Credock noticed how beautifful she was...and how scary.

Calm yourself M'lady, please. I know I should have told you, but I didn't because I knew that if I had you wouldn't have gone on the assignment. And I also know you're the best, and that's what I wanted." Credock tried to smile.

Dazrin did calm, but from the look on her face and the way she crossed her arms, told the theif she didn't quite buy into his explanation. That fact was not in the forefront of her mind however, as he could also tell she was back to finding possible ways out of this place.

Credock breathed a silent breathe of relief as he watched the woman replace her mask and start going through her packs.

The Lady of Shadows thew down her pack in frustration. She had nothing that was going to help them - all her equipment had been left in her house in Neraka. Glancing at Credock, she noticed he seemed to be listening to something.

"What is it?" the woman asked as she walked over to stand at his side. She smirked slightly inside her mask as her friend started slightly as her cloak brushed his arm. Obvisously whatever held his attention had been enough to make him forget about her. He recovered quickly however.

"Don't worry about it. Why don't you rest? I'll keep an ear out and wake you if anything comes up."

The Lady of Shadows took her mask off as she stetched out on the bed with a yawn. She took her sword from the sheath on her back and laid it in reaching distance beside her. Running her hand through her brown hair, she glanced at the theif. "Wake me if you here anything."

Dell shook her head. "Naw...I'm fine for now..." She turned towards Iris. "So, why bring them back here?" She asked, curious now.

Credock sat on the floor with his head leaning against the wall, letting the exhausted woman acroos the room get some much needed sleep. Looking over at the sleeping brunette, the theif smiled at how at ease she looked. Not like when she was awake. Awake the girl was cool, tough, seemingly alone even when she wasn't. So much different than how she was at the Golden Goblet. There, his tough, quiet Lady of Shadows turned into a friendly, nearly bubbly cook. One thing is for sure, Credock decided as he watched his friend sigh and smile in her sleep, Wether in her Guild Uniform or a dirty apron and hair net, she's beautiful....if only I could have caught her real name while in the Golden Goblet.

Hearing more voices from the other room, Credock turned his attention back to the situation at hand. Hearing the woman Dell inquire about why the two newcomers had been brought here, the man smiled.

Finally, information they could use! It's not how much magic you have, it's how you use the magic you have.

She clenched a reptilian fist for effect, "To add to taht, the magic of the bracelet could have affected the eggs, Dell!"

Credock winced as he listened to the angry Draconians speech. The only reason they were hear was because of that damn armband he had sent The Lady of Shadows for. This was his fault!! Looking over at his sleeping friend, the theif sighed as he stood up and walked over to the bed. Looking down at the calm, peaceful form, Creck shook is head. She wasn't going to like this.

"M'lady?" he called quietly, not wanting to startle her to much. When she didn't stir, the man sighed again. Touching her shoulder, her shook her gently, calling a bit louder, "M'lady!"

Dazrin sat bolt upright grabbing her sword. Pointing it right into her "attackers" throat. Once her blurry vision cleared, she saw a quite shaken Credock, his arms raised as he backed away. With a shaking hand, he wiped off the blood that trickled down his neck.

Grumbling angerly, she lowerd her blade and swung her legs over the edge of bed as she stood up, "Dammit Bloodwolf," she raged, "what the hell are you doing waking me up like that? I could have killed you!"

Credock, still rubbing his neck, struggled to regain his composure. "I know, M'lady, and I apologize, but there's something you must know. Remember that armband I sent you for last week, the one with magic?"

Dazrin looked up from re-attaching her sword. She had stopped in the middle of putting her mask back on to eye her friend suspiously. "What about it?"

Credock figured the direct approach was best. "The only reason you were to get in here to take that egg was because the the magic of the armband disrupted whatever magic the Draconian used to hide this place. She wants to know how you got in...and she's worried that the armband affected the egg....And I don't even know what the magic on the armband is...."

At this last statement, Dazrin flew accross the room, forcing Credock to bump into the wall behind him. "You got me into this over an artifact you don't even know how to use?" Dropping her mask on the floor with a thump, she grabbed the collar of thee man's shirt, "I may DIE over something you didn't even warn me about, didn't understand?"

Credock looked into those beautiful brown eyes. Brown eys that were flashing anger, confusion....and fear. He breathed a sigh of relief as the Lady of Shadows backed of, calmer now, but pacing around the room like a caged animal.

Bending to retrieve her mask, Credock walked over and handed it to her. She took it from him silently and put it on, as she spoke. "She's going to kill me for something I couldn't even control." she stated simply with a shrug.

Credock remained silent, trying to figure a way out of the mess.

Viper snorted as her ears picked up their fight from the room over. She hadn't meant to tell them, but it didn't matter.

"I don't want interesting, Dell." SHe said, her rush of anger dying down,
"I want my eggs to hatch. Something....something...is up. Too many coincidences. Me meeting you, my egg being stolen, powerful magic, late hatching.......I don't like this."

Dell nodded. "I know...." She reached out and rested her hand on the draconian's shoulder. "I'm not sure what I can do... I have very little knowledge of magic now... It was all taken when Paladine restored me to my human form once again. It is through Siran that I am able to find the City now."

"It is a good thing we met, then," Viper placed a hand on Dell's forehead and muttered magical words, "Silvermoon is opened to you now, Dell."

The draconian sighed deeply, "So, tell me of your travels, Dell. Where have you been for the past year or so?"

"Oh that's just wonderful" The Lady of Shadows said sarcasticlly as she stopped pacing as Credock relayed more of Dell's and Viper's conversation to her. For a minute, the assassin lost all her anger and attitude as once again tossed her mask across to the bed and she leaned against the wall, sliding down to the floor to sit. She drew her legs up, wrapping her legs around them, and put her head down tryiing to think. Coming up with nothing, she looked over to Credock as she said, "I have no idea what's wrong with her eggs. Hell, I didn't even have that armband long before I accidently found the egg! I got the armband, found the egg on my trek home, than came to you and delivered the goods as you ordered."

Credock snickered a bit at the last statement, know that The Lady of Shadows could never be "ordered" to do anything. But he kept silent, knowing his friend had to speak her peace.

"The egg wasn't even near the armband - I kept them seperately. And so did you - I saw where you had put them. Then 3 day later, the Draconian showed up demanding the egg back, which was already on that damn caravan to Silvanesti! I remember, because you had me come to you riight after my last shift at the Inn."

Credock nodded, remembering that day two days ago as well, "I'm not up on how strong magic has to be to interfere with each other, but I know I only had the egg a very short time before selling it to the caravan. I highly doubt that the armband could have affected it."

"Did you have anything else magical?"

The dark-haired theif shook his head as he sat down beside The Lady of Shadows, "Nope, not a thing. That armband was a special case. In fact, it met with it's new owner the next day after you returned."

"Wondeful..." the woman muttered as put her head on her employer's shoulder, "so now we have a Draconian angry at me, and we don't even know if I did anything to cause it...just freakin' wonderful."It's not how much magic you have, it's how you use the magic you have.

Hesitantly she knocked on the neighboring door, waiting for the two inside to let her in.

Hesitantly she knocked on the neighboring door, waiting for the two inside to let her in.

Looking up from where they sat on the floor, both thief and assassin looked toward the door as a knock sounded. As The Lady of Shadows walked around the other side of the bed to get her mask, she slipped it back over her head. At her thumbs-up that everything was secure, Credock opened the door, his sword in his other hand.

As he saw Dell waiting on the other side, the man bristled. He could feel The Lady of Shadows's gaze on the door as well.
