He had been sleeping. Sleeping for soo many a year. Resting, letting the world pass him by, the sounds and sights, drifting in his dreams, Gods forgotten, Gods rekindled, magic and might, hand in hand did all mortals fight. But he had slept for the passed centuries, his kind were shattered, their once great Empire, brought low before mortals. The Great Queen, their Dark Empress had promised them eternal night in which to toil and rule.....their Mistress of the Night lied....as Gods often did. And so the ruin of the Vampire's came to pass, the foundations of their once wonderous city, crumbled to dust. That city had no name, for it needed none. It had been the seat of power for the Lord of the Vampires, The First. Until She abandoned them all, seeing that they were fruitless, content to simply feed, and not destroy....for destruction is what she bathed in.

Alas, with their ruin, and their numbers but a fraction of passed glory....he and his kind scattered, knowing it better to live alone and survive. And so, he slept, one of the last Ancients, to keep a legacy alive. But even eternal slumber, becomes lonesome after mere centuries. The taste for blood, ever lingering upon the lips.

He awoke, to the sound of laughter. It rang sweetly in his mind, stirring the memories of his laughter in ancient days. The ground parted, he could smell the night air, his hunger drove him forward, rising from his earthly bed. He was Maharus, legendary amoungst his own kin, but a name none, save the wise, now knew. Again the laughter. He hungered.

Leaping into the night, he vanished with the shadows, leaving nothing but his lingering presence behind. The two lovers ran wild amoungst the darkend trees, using but the silver moonlight to guide their care free steps. Each fell into one another arms, hitting the ground hard, but caring little for the twings that dug into their backs. Passion filled the air, the scent of lust and sweat hung pungently, filling his senses, driving him high. A soft growl issued from his throat.....the girl moved. "Did you hear that Tim? I think...a wolf might be nearby...."

The boy pulled at her neck....her neck...."Its nothing, come on, your father will be home soon, i'll ahve to get you back, but first....", again their heat rose high in the air. He could stand the hesitation no longer. From the darkness he sprang, she screamed, one cut short as her throat was ripped open, an arc of blood rising high, smearing the boys white drained face. Maharus fed for the first time in centuries. His teeth bit deep in her, drawing more blood, shredding flesh and sinew from bone. She crumpled to the leaf littered ground, he roared into the night. An Ancient had returned, and vengence would be his.

The boy ran, screaming into the night sky, none would hear. Lunging, and in the blink of an eye, Maharus pinned him against the trunk of a tree. "Well now.....Tim......", he inhaled deeply, letting the scent fill him. "I haven't fed .....in such a long time, i'm glad you were nearby....", Tim screamed as Maharus bit deep into his throat....

OOC: Um this vampire Crap as you put it... I don't see a dang thing wrong with it... YOU even joined a kiss in the dark (And dissapeared from it if I remember correctly....) and you seemed to have fun telling that story. And only poor writers stick to the "Sterotypes" and cliche's of Vampires.

And also, Dragonlance is a branch of D&D, and anyone who plays D&D knows that vampires can, and Do run in those "Games"

OOC: What the hell is with this vampire crap? When the hell has there been a vampire in dragonlance? The stories suck. They dont go anywhere. All that happens is a vampire runs around a bites people. Open up a new forum for you gothic vampire lovers.

OOC: Desite the fact I care little for your 'crap' ramblings, since when do you have the right to flame one of my threads, this Vampire crap is simply an idea put into writing, what does it matter if they exist not on Kyrnn, an attribute to a good writer is his or her imagination, and you yourself obviously seem to lack the latter if you get off on slandering other peoples work. If you think the idea 'bad', then why voice your opinion, simply ignore it, as surely you would have realised any such comment would have been met with some form of rebuke.

If you think my ideas that offensive, then stay away from my threads. In life there is torment...

OOC: First off... I have a little bit I would like to share with Queshu...

"1.) Remember, what you say will be permanently stored on the forum and will reflect on you.
A good rule of thumb is the Golden Rule: 'Do onto others as you would have them do onto you.'

"10.) Criticize and discuss to your heart's content, but do it constructively.
Defamatory, mean, profane, libelous or bigoted comments—about members of the forum or anyone else—may constitute permanent removal."

..These are taken from the Dragonlance.com Forum Rules... you might want to think about these before flaming people (Eliar) or ideas (this thread)!

Now back to the actual events of this thread....

I think I'll try a bounty hunter... I'll have to develop a character tonight. I'll try to post tomorrow. I hope Kalia joins, this could make for an interesting thread!

OOC: Yea, I'll join, and ofcourse, no vampire thread would be complete without Ayeka Drache ;) Airiana will have some competition hehe....I am very tempted to report this whole thing to Paladin....(I'd report it to Autumn, but I don't have her email address, but I do have Paladin's)

BIC: Ayeka fought to stay awake in the saddle, the mare's easy gait lulled her into a light doze. Her long blonde hair moved in the crisp autumn wind, and her violet/blue eyes blinked wearily. She had been on the trails for months now, and would have done just about anything to return home...

The rumors had spread fast, and she could not afford to ignore them. She yawned and stretched the muscles in her shoulders and glanced up to note that the sun was nearly set... time to set camp, for a few hours at least, both she and her two four legged companions needed a little rest.

The white wolf trotted along happily, nose to the ground more often than not, and she looked up at Ayeka with a pair of blue/green mismatched eyes.

::Camp now?:: The wolf sent, the images of a warm fire and a full belly filled Ayeka's mind.

Silently she nodded and began to search for a suitable spot.

BIC: Tali woke up. Master is out! She thought and left her usual guarding place, venturing out into the world beyond. She could feel her master's thirst for blood and a smile spread across her purple lips when he savagely bit into the girl's neck. She smiled as she approached the ancient Vampire and his prey. When he was finished, she left the shadows and walked into the moonlight.

"Do you have need of anything, master?" She asked quietly, her blue eyes shining oddly in the light of the red moon. Kilairiandralsilvantaslik.. The Abominiation... known to most as Airiana and Last of the Silver/Red Dragons

A long sleep of nothing......and finally they had awoken.

His silver coat barely touched the ground as he glanced around, growling at the back of his throat. He was hungry...he was hungry now.

Where was Serac? Serac, his twin.

"We're right here, Seran. No worries, my brother." Serac smiled, as his ebony-clad twin stepped out from the shadows, peerly around in Solinari's light. "We're hungry..."

"Yes, we are."

The two of them sneered at eachother, identical chisled-marbles features spread into identical smirks. His silvery-gray hair fell down his shoulders like a waterfall of mercury....his brother's onyx nearly invisible against his black coat. "Shall we go?"

"Yes...yes, let us go. Unlike them, our dinner does not wait." Seran's obsidian eyes flashed maliciously. "It is our turn, is it not?"

Serac made a waving motion with his hand. "As it is."

Seran disspeared within the black shadow, the almost-glowing Serac followed.

**

"A couple. Perfect." Serac said and pointed down from the tree he was hiding in, "Go, my twin."

Seran walked out, his fangs precautiously hid in his mouth. The girl looked at him, "Hello."

"Greetings." He said, steadily walking closer.

"What do you want?" the man asked, moving in front of the girl protectively, "She's mine." The girl clinged to him, as the silver clad twin slowly came up behind him, winking to the malicious vampire in front. Seran smiled in responce.

"Nothing at all, my friend. We merely wish to ask what you are doing out here."

" "we"? Who the hell is with you?"

"ROBER----!!" The girl screeched, silenced by the silver death that had pierced her skin.

"MELISSA!" Robert shouted and turned to see Serac standing there, a smug grin his eyes and his fangs deep in the girl. Seran smiled, he put a hand on Robert's shoulder, and the man turned around now cowering in fear, his last emotion felt as he felt the life slowly being drained out of him.

Serac dropped the girl to the floor, Seran followed not to much longer. They licked the blood from their lips. Seran narrowed his eyes.

"What troubles you, Seran?" Serac asked cautiously.

"He has awoken....he of which we are not on good terms with.....Mahaurus (sp?)..."

"Him......indeed, you are correct." Serac agreed, "Shall we go settle those terms?" (http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

His tounge worked around his mouth, savouring the enjoyment of the kill. He felt her before he saw her. " Tali.... long has it been my youngling.... though, not so young anymore.... ", his voice did ecoh as though many speaking as one. He dusted himself, centuries of slumber, dust was sure to gather. " Come, I have need of new attire. ", he sniffed in the air. " Old fool..... ", he needed not to buy clothes any longer.

Raising his arms above his head, he closed his eyes. And then there was a dark light about him. Then it diminished. Maharus stood gleaming in white and silver and gold. The white robe was fitted at the chest and torso, but looser as it descended. The white coat was etched in silver and gold thread, intricate designs, obviously of a vampyric origin, styles and markings of power and age. He shook himself. " Much better..... now Tali, let us dwindle no longer, there are sights to see that have changed much since my day....and plans to be made....The Lady of the Night will savour my vengence, but for now we gather strength... centuries of solitude and sleep have had their toll. "

Striding from her, Maharus vanished into darkness. His image and voice lingering after him. To the Ruins, Tali, we have needs and wants first to collect....In life there is torment...

Tali nodded to her master when he spoke of her as his “youngling”. True, she had only been twenty years old when she became his servant, giving her mortal soul to remain with him for as long as he walked upon Krynn. Since then, though it had been over six centuries, she had failed to age. Even in those many years, she was nowhere near Maharus in age and never would be. He was an Ancient, Tali a mere undead Human.

She watched in awe as her master transformed his clothing and looked down at herself. She wore a dress of dark, midnight blue with a puff-sleeved blouse beneath it that had, at one time, been whiter than bleached bones. Her hair was long and black as her master’s heart. Her eyes were large and dark blue and they seemed to sparkle with a flicker of life whenever she felt her master nearby and killing some unsuspecting person. Her skin, which at one time held a “healthy” tan when she lived, was now a dusty gray-blue color. On the back of her neck and on the inside of each wrist was a tattoo in a vampiric design that told all other vampires that she was the servant of the great Maharus.

She wished she had even half the powers endowed her master, but then, being his servant had certain advantages. Other servants envied her. She belonged to an Ancient. Even at her worst, she was given more than any of the others. She had, long ago, acquired certain powers which she’d paid for with her own soul. On becoming a servant, she gained inhuman speed and a link with her master that could never be severed. With her speed, she also gained strength. Though she looked to be a small maid, she was truly stronger than most warriors, and she had to be if she was to capture people alive and bring them back, all the while struggling, to her master for him to toy with before killing. She could speak the Vampire tongue and understood its writing. These talents, along with being able to see the life’s blood of any creature, she had gained, but no others.

Over the centuries in which her master slept, Tali had done likewise, but woke to check on her master ever so often. She had waited patiently until he was ready to venture back out in the world. When she’d awoken to find her master’s place empty and feeling him rush upon the couple, she was overjoyed. She had waited so long!

When Maharus vanished into the darkness, she nodded at his words. He would know that she understood, even though he was not there to see the gesture. With a speed that no mortal creature could pull off, Tali sped off towards the Ruins. I wonder, she thought. Will the Ruins still be there? It has been a long while since I have ventured out into the world… At this she smiled. Maharus knew what he was doing. He would not go somewhere that wasn’t there anymore!

Serac tried to sneer, tried to hide his worry under a coat (much like the material he now wore) of confidence.

"What troubles you, Serac?"

"The last time we went up against Mahaurus, the results were not pleasant."

Seran nodded....the last confrontation between the two groups had ended in defeat for the twin undead. "We were weak, Serac. This time we are strong, we have confidence."

Serac smiled, his sneer now confident.

Seran continued, "Before we go up against him we must go to the ruins, of course. There are things we must pick up."

The less-confident silver-clad twin cocked an eyebrow, "Do you think he'll be there?"

"We have no doubt."

He arrived. Feet planted solidly on ruined stone. The Ruin.....The Temple....it had been a focal point of the Empire they had built...it had been the First Temple to their Lady of the Night. After all he should know, he had been their the day the Foundations had been laid, the Dawn of the Empire. Or rather the dusk....for it was at twilight it had been laid. This was the Nexus of power for the Vampires. The central point at which all could come, and gather, and bask in their infinite glory. For glory had been theirs, and power, and wealth....the Word of theirs for the Taking, until she bitterly abandoned them, leaving them to the Wolves that were Man and Elven Kind.

His fist clenched as he remembered with bitter sweetness the beauty he had once beheld here, now left to rot, lost and forgotten to save but a few. Maharus could still feel a few loose chords of power flowing. They danced on the wind, and laughed from the rocks. Ever did children laugh.

Something stirred. An Ancient Stirred. Maharus, once Keeper of Secrets and Vampyric Lore, had returned to the Land of the Living, and Their Queen of The Dark Soul would pay dearly of her leaving them. He sniffed the air.... Fabulous....just what I need....never could I forget the stench of them.....Tali, prepare yourself my Dear, we are to have company I am afraid. "In life there is torment...

" Tali, prepare yourself my Dear, we are to have company I am afraid. "

Tali tensed at her master's words and wished she had a weapon. She may have been quick and strong for a Human, but even a young Vampire could easily match her without a weapon of some kind.

"What does the Ancient want?" Serac continued, "What brings the Great Maharus, Keeper of Secrets, need now? We suppose that one would come back to the Ruins of our great city, now lost within the betrayal of the Dark Queen, as she is called now."

Tali listened to the twins switching back and forth in mid-sentence and put a dusty gray-blue hand to her temple. They were giving her a migraine. She stepped out of the shadows, though with her midnight blue dress and gray-blue skin, it made little difference.

"Seran and Serac, if I remember correctly, aren't those your names?" She asked quietly. "I think it an ill choice to continue bothering my master. He has little patients with youngling Vampires that have already been proven far beneath him." She said coldy and moved closer to Maharus.

His arms rose, coming just above his shoulders. " I come for power! ", the Temple had been the nexus of power for the Vampyric Empire...and still the residues of their Rule lingered. The air hummed and grew dense in places.... power ran to him as he called it, rivers of power shimmering in the air, gathering at his chest.

" Our Lady of The Night will regret having abandoned us....I will make her regret it sorely! ", a maddend glint flashed in his eyes, he needed this power, this last trace of the Ancient Times, if he had even a hope to stand before her in all her might.

The power gathered as a shimmering sphere of translucent light, he gasped, and the ball entered him, slowly, painfully, ripping flesh, but healing it as it entered...... he fell....slumped forward.... " It is done....the last power that belonged to out once Glorious Empire is here... ", he tapped his chest. " It will be used to bring about the ruination of her..... ", something lingered in his eyes though....doubt, fear...she was the one thing, save The First, whom he had ever feared.

" She will see what it is to anger the Last of the Ancients.....by all that is damned she will feel a wrath unlike any other.... ", he trembled almost...but stood.

Seracput hand on his ebony-clad twin's shoulder and sneered, "Let him die. Let the foolish Ancient, Keeper of Knowledge of Secrets fall to the hands of a goddess."

"M-master?" She mumbled so low that only he could hear. "Do you really think you can defeat the Dark Queen?"

He cast her a dark look, a note for her to be silent. And then speaking to the darkness where the twins had vanished. " I care little for what you two think....never have I cared....you are insolent, dis-respectful, and will both be taught a lesson in due course.....", straightening himself, Maharus shook with the power that coursed through him. "I need more Tali....this alone is not enough....during my slumber...she has grown strong, that I know, and currently, no, I could not defeat her....nor am I sure I can eventually. But I will not stand by and watch as the last of my kin, no matter what caliber they are, are reduced to dogs squabbling over meat. If I can, this Empire will be restored to its once Glory....as it should be..... "In life there is torment...

Tali bowed her head and murmured, "Yes master, forgive me." She brushed her long, black hair away from her gray-blue face and looked up at her master. "Will you make new Vampires, master? I could help! I could find the best candidates for you! Then the Empire could be great again! Like it was before we slept!" She said, her blue eyes flickering with life from excitement. "Do you think he'll really challenge teh Dark Queen?" Serac asked his twin lazily as they hung in vallenwoods near Solace feeling lethargic.

"We doubt it. He may lack intelligence but he's not that stupid."

"SOmetimes we wonder..." Serac mused, "Sometimes we wonder..."

"Shut up, Serac." Seran commented from his own tree, "He'll want the Empire back, you can see it in his eyes--"

"WE hate his eyes."

"Serac, he's going to go and make more of us."

"Do as he wish." The more easygoing of the set commented, "Just leave us alone." (http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

Darkness stirred.... deep within the Lords of Doom.... the firy light hurt her eyes as she woke, slowly to her Lady's demand. Hundreds of years of soot covered her body... She coughed once and shook her dark hair free from the grime. Her chosen resting place was protected by magic, and she couldn't even feel the heat of the fire and lava below her.

Her violet eyes seemed to glow in the firy light, but as she turned to the shadows they seemed as dark as the obsidian ledge she stood upon. Akemi stretched languidly, with the bonless grace of any feline. Suddenly she tensed and fell to her knees immediately.

She bowed foward as the presence of her Lady grew stronger and more Tangible.

"You have awakened me, Lady of Night?" She asked softly. Though their empire had fallen to ruin, Akemi, the First, had not broken graces with their Lady.

The Dark Queen seemed pleased that Akemi still served her, and serve she shall....to rid her of this annoying pest.

Ayeka rode into town and yawned. "Finally... we made it..." she pulled a small slip of parchment from a hardened leather scroll case at her belt. "yup. This is it... there has been a rash of vampire-killings... something is going to happen soon..." She murmered as she led her horse to the Inn, handed the reins to the stable hand and led Jennah into the building.

"One room sir, and directions to the Lord's keep!" She called, tossing four steel onto the counter.

"Is here alright with you?" Serac asked his twin as they walked into the inn, noting the girl at the counter (who he made a mental note to taste..she looked good), as Seran threw his own steel onto the counter.

"Sure, it makes no difference to us. We want one room, preferably. Not inthe sunlight." Seran replied, also noting the other female in the room.

"We don't like her..." Serac whispered to his ebony-clad twin.

"No.....We should kill her, immediatly."

"WE are hungry, suddenly." The pratically-glowing twin hissed.

"Not yet, my brother," Seran laid a hand on a silver shoulder, "We shall watch her." (http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

Ayeka tensed suddenly and the wolf at her side growled. She turned her head to them and studied each in turn, her eyes meeting theirs sqarely, almost in challenge, then she turned her back. The wolf sneezed, snapped at the empty air and then did the same.

Casually she accepted her room key and the directions, then she turned fully, the firelight catching the ruby pendant around her neck as she brushed past the two, heading for the Lords Keep.

Akemi moved with the speed of her kind, magnified by the Dark Lady herself.... A shadow amung shadows.

She whispered her target's name, her voice velvet soft, the purr of a deadly panther, eagerly seeking her prey.

Serac growled deep in his throat as he accepted the key. Seran, however, was not caught up in his twin's anger (though he felt it in the back of his mind) caught the glint of ruby in the light. Making another mental note to take the pendant after the girl was dead. He punched the more arrogant twin in the shoulder and nodded. Words were not need to convey ideas between the twin vamps.

"Milady....you seem weary. Perhaps you would need some help with your belongings?" Serac asked, his mouth moving mininally to hide his fangs, "Let us help you, for we have never seen a lady with such matched beauty as stands in front." He gracefully picked up her hand and kissed it gently.

Slowly he stood up, his silver coat rippling like the ocean waves, adding to his majesticness, "A companion...a familiar, yes? Are you a mage, beautiful?"(http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.

Ayeka's eyes flashed gold for a brief moment, as she snatched her hand away from Serac. Jennah only snarled, her mismatched blue/green eyes shifted back and forth between the two.

"In this case, Gentlemen Flattery will get you nowhere." She stated cooly, running her fingers through her long blonde hair. "while you and your twin here are indeed gorgeous in your own way...it does not change what you are. You do not fool me, nor will you ever." She turned back towards the stables, then paused. "Don't give me trouble...it's not you I'm after.... Yet." She whistled and the mare trotted out of the stable, her long mane, tail and glossy fetlocks flowing in the breeze.

Complete with brand-new black leather tack and saddle, with a silver-trimmed saddle blanket, the mare came to a halt at Ayeka's side.

"If you are thinking what I am thinking, then you should build an army." From out of the woods came a cloaked figure. "So you wish to rebulid your Empire?" The figures cloak was black so it was hard to see him in the night. "Make new vampires, maybe form an army, gain power, and try to defeat the Dark Queen? You are obviously going crazy Ancient one."

The figure smirked, as he walked closer. "The names Rikimaru, if you would like to know." He said as he bowed to the Ancient. He pulled down his hood. His brown hair was very short, and he had a scar on his left cheek.

"I am human. And don't worry, I'm not a vampire slayer." He smirked again. If he rebuilds the vampire empire then I would rather be with him than against him.... "True strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me."

"You are clever for a human, that much I grant you....and yes....I will start this Empire once over....perhaps...starting with you?", Maharus took a step closer to the human, a ripple of power screaming behind his eyes, a thirst....a need. " Tali my Dear....find me those whom you deem worthy then, bring them here....but carefully, always carefully...."

Serac shrugged, "By all means, it's most certainly possible. But somehow we don't see a relation to an Ancient being a hunter. And since now there are more and more of those....the term we believe is "wanna be's" hunters out there...." He felt no need to finish the sentence.

"If she can't honor us she might as well give our kind the respect and at least try and be a good hunter."

Ayeka's violet/blue eyes narrowed at the mention of her father's name. "I must ask that you not mention his name in my presence..." She hissed, her voice filled with hatred. The wolf whined and looked up at her mistress. Ayeka closed her eyes for a moment, then she looked back to the twins.

"You know of this Ancient? His name Perhaps?" She asked as the mare pranced restlessly.

"Tali, we think he calls her," Serac picked up, "At this point,we're not sure wether she's human or vampire, or somewhere in the middle, but she dose serve him faithfully, so we suppose life or undeath really dosen't matter."

"You're going to kill him, arent you? You're a hunter, and you're going to kill Mahaurus."

She stopped before she said more....and silently cursed herself for allowing their charisma to pull her words free.

"I don't owe you an explanation... just stay out of my way..." She tensed and the mare broke into a run, rushing past the two, deeper into the town, heading north for the Lords Keep.

When Maharus released her to find prospective Vampires, Tali smiled evilly. “As you wish, Master. I will bring only the best to serve you!” She said, giving a regal curtsy.

With that, she sped off into the night. When she neared a village, she stopped back in the brush and looked the place over with an expert’s eye. This village looks like the Abyss itself! I don’t think I’ve seen so many gloomy mortals since I was alive! She thought to herself with a silent sigh. But soon she was smiling again.

All the better! These poor souls would probably give anything to leave this retched place and have the freedom of immortality! With that, Tali straightened herself up and dusted off her old, dark blue dress. Looking down at herself, she frowned. I’ll have to get some suitable attire if I want to impress a few of these mortals enough to take them back to Master.

She took an ancient coin from a pouch tied at her waist and inspected it. These Humans have probably never seen a coin this old before! Well, that will make it all the more valuable. She thought to herself with a smirk as she turned over the ancient steel coin in her hand, then tossing it up in the air and catching it deftly. Time to go have some fun!

Luckily for Tali, the shops of the town had not yet closed, though they were about to. She walked into the tailor’s shop and eyed some velvet cloth with an approving eye.

The owner of the shop, a short, portly man of about thirty years, smiled broadly at this strange-looking, yet beautiful customer. “Can I help you, Ma’am?” He asked as he walked over to her.

Tali looked at the man a moment, as if not understanding him. How long have I slept? She wondered to herself. Even Common has changed significantly! She repeated the man’s words in her head a moment and saw that only some of the words had changed, and she hoped she wouldn’t run into any trouble with her phrasing. It’s been so long since I’ve talked to mortals! She sighed.

“Yes… I would like… oh please forgive me; I am not much good at the Common tongue… I want a new dress. Something… expensive? Yes, is that the word? I have money enough… but I need the dress before you close shop tonight.” She managed to get out, though her accent was odd to the man, unlike he’d ever heard.

The tailor raised an eyebrow and looked at Tali questioningly. “How expensive? Don’t take offense to me saying so, ma’am, but you don’t look like you have that much money. I mean… those clothes you have on look as if they’re older than I am!” The man scoffed, not wanting to waste his time on someone who didn’t seem like she had any money. He had a business to run, and besides, it was almost closing time!

Tali sighed in exasperation and walked over to the man’s counter. She took the pouch from her waist and dumped its contents on the counter. The pouch, which had seemed empty or nearly so just a few moments before, now clanked ancient steel coins all over the counter. “Is that enough, sir?” She asked with a look of innocence on her gray-blue skinned face.

The man’s jaw dropped momentarily, but he managed to recover quickly. “A-hem… Yes ma’am. That’s plenty. I’m sorry for what I said… it’s just-”

“I know,” Tali cut him off. “I do not look like I have money. But, I have been away for a long time and have not had the time to waste money on new clothes. Now, can you help me or not?” She asked, the new Common coming easier to her now.

The portly man nodded his head vigorously, his double chin flapping. “I think I may have something… in the back… that would suit you.” He said hoarsely, still trying to recover from seeing that much money at one time. “I’ll just go get it…” He said, walking backwards to the back of the shop.

“You just do that.” Tali snapped, filling the pouch back up with all the scattered coins. She had a few moments to look around, so she decided to do just that. The shop was small and orderly with a fine display in the window. She nodded approvingly and realized that though the man was a little snobbish, she’d come to the right place.

A few minutes passed and the tailor made his way back into the main shop. He carried a beautiful silken dress of shimmering blue, just slightly darker than the color of her skin. This material, unlike her skin, had an iridescent quality to it that made it change color slightly with the changing light. It was trimmed in black velvet and its bodice was covered in spidery black stitching. To put it simply: the dress was beautiful, and seemed as if it was made especially for her.

“`Tis truly beautiful, sir. Pray, what be the cost of such a fine dress?” She asked, staring at the dress, stunned. Then she gave him a Charming smile. A smile she’d learned from her Master. You could Charm anyone and con them into giving you things if you knew what you were doing, and Tali had had centuries of practice. After all, she didn’t want to spend all of her money at this one little place. She had other things she needed the money for.

The effects of the Charm began working on the man within a second. “For you, ma’am? I’d just be honored if you wore it! I don’t think anyone could make it look as good as you could. Here,” he said, handing over the dress with gently hands. “Take it!”

Tali smiled again. “Well sir, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will not forget such kindness.” She murmured, still Charming the man with her smile and a deep look in her eyes. She accepted the dress and nodded in thanks to the tailor as she walked out the door.

As soon as her gaze left the man’s, he was no longer affected by her Charm. The man scratched the back of his head and frowned. “What in the world came over me?” He wondered aloud to himself, then sighed. It was a beautiful dress, already paid for in fact. A woman had it specially made for herself and paid upfront. “I guess I’ll just have to tell Lady Arisis that someone stole the dress and that I’ll have to make her another one.” He mumbled and shook his head. What came over me?

Tali made her way to the nearest, and consequently, the only inn in town. It was called the Golden Dragon Inn. I wonder if these people have ever even seen a Golden Dragon? Tali wondered to herself with a smirk as she entered the establishment. It was small and quaint, the common room clean and orderly.

“Hello,” Tali said, pouring on the Charm as she smiled at a man behind the bar. “I would like the best room that you have for the night, a hot bath, and a bottle of your best Elven wine, please.” She said, laying four of the steel coins on the table. “Will that be enough?” She asked meekly, still Charming the man.

The young man, who was probably nineteen years old, melted at Tali’s smile. “S-sure!” He said, awestruck, and Tali wondered at how close his reaction would have been without the use of Charm. He handed her a key and gave her stuttering directions to the room and told her that he would be up momentarily with hot water and the bottle of wine she requested, he also asked politely if there was anything else she would be needing?

Tali smilingly refused and went up to her room. She frowned slightly as she opened the door. The room was not exactly as she’d expected, but then, this was a small village, she reminded herself. For these people, this was probably a wonderful room.

The young man brought up the hot water within a few minutes, running back down to get the bottle of wine and the bathing tub. He asked again if Tali would like anything else and she remembered enough to ask for soap and a towel. It took him only a couple minutes to bring these items back up to her, and Tali accepted them with a smile. This young man isn’t under the Charm anymore and he is still falling all over himself! Tali thought to herself, realizing for the first time that she only used the Charm on the nineteen-year-old when she first entered the inn.

“You are a very thoughtful innkeeper, young man, but I think you might want to get back to your other customers.” She said smilingly after he had been in her room for a few moments more, fussing about how the room was not adequate for a beautiful lady such as she.

“My name’s Jon, and if you don’t mind me saying so, you don’t look too much older than me.” Jon said smiling as he began towards the door.

“Ah yes, I only look to be about twenty years old, don’t I?” She asked smiling, forgetting that a mortal Human would know no better than that. “Have you never heard the phrase ‘looks can be deceiving’? I am, as it were, quite a bit older than twenty.” She said with a sigh. Nearly six hundred, if I have kept track of time correctly! She thought, shaking her head. “If I need your assistance with anything, I will come down and get you, is that a deal, Jon?”

“Yes, m’lady. That it is. May I ask… what is your name, Lady?” Jon asked inquisitively, now standing on the outside of the room.

“My name? …A long time ago I was called Lady Talissa Kiadri… but such a name makes no difference anymore. Call me Tali.”

Jon nodded and closed the door gently. “As you wish, Lady Talissa Kiadri…” He murmured, barely loud enough for himself to hear, let alone anyone else.

~~~~~~~~
Tali felt refreshed as she toweled off and put the new dress on. It fit her perfectly and accented her gray-blue skin and jet-black hair well. Now all I need is some jewelry and I will again look like the heiress I was supposed to be… at least, as close as I will ever come to looking like my old self again.
She brushed out her long hair and made her way down to the common room, hoping to find some suitable prospects for her master. The Golden Dragon Inn was, along with being the only inn in the town, also the only reputable tavern. At this hour, the common room of the inn was still full.
The innkeeper, what was his name? Ah yes, it was Jon. He will definitely be coming back with me. Now… who else should I take to my master? She wondered to herself as she took a seat in a shadowy corner.
She looked around the gloomy, yet quaint common room and sighed. The people seemed numb; devoid of any emotion at all, except for the occasional half-hearted chuckle that rose above the droning talk. Well, she thought with a smile. Perhaps they will be eager to come with me then, if they are so dull now. They must be simply dying for some excitement!
At a table near her was a large group of probably around six or seven warrior men and women. They seemed to be discussing something intently in hushed tones; all of them except for a child that hung near one of the women.
This little boy was staring straight at Tali with curious eyes. She smiled at him, flashing her white teeth, a light in the darkness that was otherwise her. The boy’s eyes seemed to grow a little wider, and then he smiled back, two of his front teeth missing.
Tali beckoned for the curious child to come closer and he complied. “Do I fascinate you, little one?” She asked softly, her exotic voice entrancing.
“I-I’ve never s-seen anyb-body with blue skin b-before…” The boy managed to stutter, looking at Tali in awe. “Is it real?” He asked, his curiosity overcoming his fear.
“Yes, child. This is my true skin color, it was not always so, but it is now.” She said smiling, extending a hand for the child to examine.
He did so with awe, his hands not but butterfly wings for how gently his touched hers. He gently turned her hand over one way and then the other, and was about to say something but the woman he was with, an Elven warrioress with hair as golden as the sun, grabbed him away.
“Mani nae lle umien?” (OOC: This means “What have you been doing?”) She asked him harshly, her Elven features flaring suddenly. Then, seeing Tali more closely, she stood rigid and cleared her throat. “I am sorry, lady. He does not understand that it is improper to touch strangers.” She said, her words changing from Elven to Common.
Tali smiled in relief that at least the Elven language had not changed. “Uuma dela.” (OOC: This means “Don’t worry.”) She said softly in Elven. “I offered my hand to him. I have always loved children, especially those who are unafraid like your son. I admire that.” She said smiling, switching back to Common with only a breath’s pause.
“He is not my child. I am only keeping him safe for one that I know.” The warrioress answered smoothly as she nodded slightly to Tali and carted the child back to the table, speaking in hushed Elven and telling him that he shouldn’t go up to strange people lurking in shadows, and if only his mother would have seen him!... At this point, Tali stopped listening. The rest of the group seemed to notice her presence for the first time.
A tall man, apparently the leader of the group, cleared his throat. “Would you like to join us?” He asked, holding up his mug of ale in offering. “You look as though you might be one who knows a tale or two, and we are sorely in need of a break from reality.” He said smiling.
So he thinks I am a bard? She wondered absently to herself. Not that it matters, I have many stories I could tell, and this group could be just what Master needs… At this she stood, letting the soft firelight shine on her as she walked over to the table.
“I thank you, sir. It has been some time since I have told any stories, but I think I know just the one to tell.” She said, flashing her white teeth in a charming grin at the man. She proceeded to tell her stories well into the hours just before dawn. She told of everlasting life and of riches beyond their wildest dreams. Even the skeptical Elven warrioress was convinced by the time they went off to their rooms.
Tali assured them that if they returned that night, she would have more tales to tell and promised a present for the child as well. The group agreed to come back to the common room and wait for her that night.
Tali smiled a smile laden with Charm. She had them hooked. Each and every one of them. The only thing she had to worry about was the boy. There was a rule amongst Vampires: a child is never taken, for they will never grow up. So then, the boy would have to be food for the new vampires, or become a servant. He would not age as a servant either, but there was no rule against that.
These five men, two women, and the innkeeper would do well as Vampires, but then, they did not know this just yet. She would have to Charm them all the way back to her master, but this mattered little to Tali. She could do it. She probably wouldn’t even have to Charm the innkeeper or the child.
But the rest, now they will take a lot of Charming. she thought with a sigh as she retired to her room just before the sun rose. She detested being outside in the daylight, though she could do it, she’d grown to love the night far too much.
The door of the Golden Dragon inn banged open, the front of it slamming against the wall and giving a loud crash. A tall, elegant man dresed in black followed, his pale skin contrasting to his eboy attire, his face hidden in the hood of his robed. He looked like a shadow, with deathly gray-blue eyes. The two pale hands retreated into the cloak immediatly. He swore in an unidentificable language and banged three steel coins on the innkeeper's desk before sitting at a table.
Following him, much more calmly, was a man draped in entirely in silver. His hood was down, his same-shade hair nearly invisible upon the cloak, glowing in Solinari's light. He sighed and shook his head, his hood falling to reveal pale skin, silver irises set in dark eyes. He glanced up at the man dressed in black, calmly placed three more coins on the table, and nodded, "Excuse his behavior."
Seran placed a hand on Serac's shoulder, "Come, my brother. This is not the place."
Serac growled a deep, throaty growl, "Hungry."
"Serac, we have to go. Not the time."
Serac snarled at his brother but got up nonetheless. The two of them selected a room at random and, lucky for the patrons, it was empty.
On the way up to the room though, Seran noticed a pale blue-gray skinned girl. In a blue dress...dark hair, dark eyes.
Ayeka had gone to the Lord's manor and received her instructions and half of her payment. The Mare moved along the road on her own, with Ayeka counting the steel coins. The reins lay loose against the saddle, and the wolf trotted alongside, pausing now and again to sniff at the dirt below her feet.
Ayeka shivered suddenly... and when her legs tensed the Mare stopped and tossed her head.
Danger... Jennah growled and bared her teeth. Ayeka slid from the Mare's back. "Stay here 'Hart...." she said to the mare and patted her flank. The mare snorted and waited.
"come on... " she whispered and headed back for the inn, this time her sword was loose in it's sheath, she grabbed at the necklace that hung from her neck and tucked it under her shirt. Quietly she slipped back into the Inn, Jennah sneaked past her, her white fur practically glowing in the firelight. The wolf moved stealthily around the tables, her eyes shifting from each human to the three of the vampires in the room.
Foul creatures... Jennah snarled in Ayeka's mind.
Don't attack... I don't want any of those people harmed... She sent sharply.
Ayeka's eyes fixed on the woman and then recognized the twins. This is going to be a long night She thought and moved further into the Inn.
He stood. Facing the remnants of an ancient alter. Long has it been.....too long....., he brought a hand to his face. Never changing, ever young, vibrant....dead....but the price was the same for us all. Some, more than others..... , moving with an ageless grace, Maharus eyed the distant horizon. OOC: Just so everyone knows, Tali is undead, not a vampire. I figured that much would be given away by the fact that her skin was gray-blue... like most people's turns to when they die.
BIC: Tali noticed the twins at about the same time they saw her and she sighed. It figured that they would end up being in the same place as her! She heard them speak of being hungry and she glared at the two of them. "Partake of any of the patrons you wish, but stay away from the innkeeper and that group," she hissed evilly, pointing out the group she'd been with earlier. "Maharus will not have mercy on the two of you if you kill his prospects just for feeding." She said, grinning evilly.
Then she noticed a woman and a wolf enter. The woman was obviously a bounty hunter and she sighed deeply to herself. How am I supposed to get anything accomplished with this lot tailing me? She wondered to herself and glared at the woman as she went up to her room. This is definitely going to be a long night... and day. Kilairiandralsilvantaslik.. Serac was about to open his mouth to swear at her, but the much calmer one of the two started talking instead, "There would no be feeding tonight. Serac is just....disgruntled. Regardless, we will stay away from this crowd. None of this inn-crowd pleases us. Mahaurus can have them."
The ebony-clad twin opened his mouth but his toe was stepped on by the silvery one, so he shut his mouth. He turned from Seran and immediatly noticed Ayeka, "The hunter," He whispered, and Seran nodded.
"If you'll excuse us," Said the older with a sweeping bow, "We have other things to tend to."
The twin vampires hurried up the stairs and into a room. (http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.
Fear lit in his eyes. He shook, a hand grabbing his own chest, the other his throat.
"Here......she's here..... ", he whispered, terror and awe ecohing in his voice. "Ok I will." And at once he disappeared into the shadow. He ran as fast as he could. "He must be really scared if he needs her at once." He said as he jumped over fallen trees and ducked under low branches.
Soon, he was outside of the town. He stopped running to make it look like he was not in a hurry. He went into the inn and looked around for Tali. Although he had only seen a glimpse of her before she had left, he knew who she was once he saw her in the dress. His jaw drooped alittle yet he picked it right back up. He looked at her and pointed with his eyes to a near by table."True strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me."
Ayeka was flustered the twins had retreated to the rooms above and was sorely tempted to turn in her key and sleep elsewhere. She glanced at the woman and fought to keep her face neutral... of all the practices that the "cursed" had ever done.... such Wraiths where the worst in her mind.
She heard Jennah sneeze as she moved around the room, and felt her dislike. Ayeka looked to the man who entered and the wolf's senses flare. Another who has been in the presence of our prey... the wolf sent, as she caught sight of the man.
just outside of the inn, Akemi yawned and stretched lazily, her long dark hair falling in long straight tresses to her waist. Her blue eyes where fixed on the Inn ahead...and the inhabitants within.... She smiled and wandered closer, her cloak hiding most of her features.
Akemi walked in, her mere presence caught the attenions of nearly every patron... though she ignored every one of them. A broach glittered at her throat, pinning her cloak in place..... a dark garnet, gittering with an onyx rose.
Tali saw the human and nodded her head, walking over to the table and seating herself neatly. She hid a little smile at his response to her looks. At least some things didn't change.
"Now, since you've called me over, who are you and what in the name of the Abyss do you want?" She asked gruffly, motioning for the innkeeper to bring her some wine.
He did so in seconds, almost running across the common room to bring it to her. Jon, the innkeeper, smiled as he reached the table. "Will you be needing anything else, Lady Talissa?" The golden-haired teen asked softly, eyeing the man who had become Tali's company warily.
"No, Jon. I have nothing else for you to attend to. But perhaps the gentleman here," she gestured to Rikimaru. "Might have need of you?" She asked, looking at Rikimaru with an appraising eye. "What do you want, Seran?" He grumbled.
"Listen."
Serac muttered a swear but cocked his senses. Another vampire....stronger then Mahaurus. Near. He glanced at the silvery vamp and nodded. Immediatly he collected his jacket and went back down to the bar/tavern immediatly. Tali, unfortunatly, had not left.
Maharus rallied himself, shaken he was, but what strength he had would suffice to hold him. She has woke....I thought her gone from this realm. But what is her purpose...after all these years, perhaps for the same revenge I par-take in..... , he mused on these thoughts, lost in the darkness that slipped over his mind.
Akemi moved slowly into the inn....and four caught her interest.... Passing interest for the twins that had hidden themselves away up the stairs.... her eyes fixed on the blonde, and on the necklace that hung around her throat... Her hand strayed to the broach on her cloak and smiled....her ivory skin looked almost rosey in the firelight.
Finally her eyes rested on Tali. And the power that clung to the girl like a second skin... not her own... but an ancient power..... and very recognizable. She nearly hissed in anger but her teeth bit into her lip before a sound could escape... she tasted blood and licked it away.
Maharus... I'm catching up with you...
She mused as she moved with a fluid, feline grace...completely unhuman. She moved to Tali's side and her hand closed roughly on the front of the girl's gown. Her strength unbreakabe as she leaned in close.
"You belong to Maharus... Tell him, The First has come for him... and His Queen is displeased....." She snarled and dropped the girl uncerimoniously.
Ayeka had tensed her sword half-drawn as Akemi assulted Tali. After dropping the girl, Akemi turned her blue eyes to Ayeka. She gestured to the pendant that Ayeka wore and Ayeka noticed the broach that was pinned to her cloak.
"Enemy of Thy enemy is Thy Friend..... For now..." Akemi said as she turned to leave... she would hunt then rest... and search out Maharus on the Morrow....
Tali was startled by the presence of the One, the Mother, and almost kneeled to pay her respects to her, ... but of course, she was a little too slow in that, and found herself being forced up out of her chair by the First's unabaitable strength and being dropped back down to the floor, paying careful attention to the message given to her.
Once she'd picked herself up, rubbing her throat, she did kneel in respect for the First. "I shall take your message to my master at once, Mother of Vampires," Tali replied in the ancient vampiric language and, even as she stood, made sure to respectfully keep her eyes lower than those of Akemi.
Glancing over at the human male with whom she was speaking she snarled visciously. "This will have to wait."
Quickly, going over to the innkeeper, she scrawled out in elegant script a hastily written note to those that would be her master's prospects.
"Jon," she said quietly, still in awe at Akemi's sudden appearance. "Give this note to the group I was with earlier and make sure they don't leave town. I will be back when I can, but if I am not back by tomorrow, tell them to make their way to the outer fields of the city and that they will be well paid--I have an important mission that I would like for them to undertake for me. When they come, I wish that you would join them... I have something for you as well." She said, not even waiting for the nod and smile that Jon would radiate.
"Thank you," she murmured, already heading out the door and speeding inhumanly back to the Ruins. If Maharus didn't already know about Akemi, he would soon find out.
"Master!" She yelled out, mentally and verbally, as she burst into the Ruins. "The First! She sends a message to you! ... She says: 'The First has come for you... and Your Queen is displeased'." At this, Tali rubbed her neck again, though being undead, she could feel no pain.
"She is not in a good humor, Master. What do you want me to do? Your prospects will be here tomorrow at the latest."
BIC: She was tired. She had walked far today, and did not wish to be caught out at night. She looked about 25, with a blue bandana in her blonde hair and gold hoops in each ear. She was relieved when she saw a village pop out in front of her. She noticed, that the whole village was filled with gloomy people. *what are they so sad about?* She wondered as she walked towards the inn she had seen. *has someone died?* She entered the inn. It was somewhat full, a group of what appeared to be bards over there, and a little boy. She got a room, and sat down to eat some food after the long day. She looked at two men she saw in a corner, one dressed in silver, the other in black. She got a strange feeling from them, one she recognized suddenly. *the undead in a small town like this?* She knew from ancient maps she had seen in the library of palanthas, that there was a legend about this area, a strange dark legend....
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ashlanti walked along the winding road. She knew there was a small town somewhere nearby, and she savored the thought of a warm bed and hot food. She was dark of skin, like the ergothians but not quite as dark as most. She was found by most people to be strange. She was glad to see a cluster of lights around a bend in the road. She held the staff she carried a little higher, and quickly located the inn. As she walked in, a feeling of the presence of powerful magic swept over her. She recognized it. A vampyre was nearby. Several, possibly. And very powerful. She knew this village was near the ruins of the ancient vampyre empire, but why would there be living vampire's here? She noticed a man in silver and a man in black. Her feeling was strong from them. She figured that was a good place to start. She tooka breath and walked over to them..... Tali bowed deeply. "As you wish, Master. Also, I have Prospects for you... they are on their way. I believe you will like them."
She bowed again and looked at her master meaningfully, wondering if soon Death would claim them. Certainly if the Queen of Darkness or the First either one came for her master, he could not survive. And if he did not, then she did not. It was that simple. She gave her soul and her allegiance to him, and it was forever binding.
She sped off into the night. Perhaps the man from the Inn would be suitable to bring Master, she thought wryly as she made her way back to the town.
As luck would have it, however, she was not forced to go as far as the Golden Dragon Inn to find prey for Maharus. There was a group of youths, in their teens, who were walking along the streets. Their life's blood and youthful vitality pounded Tali's senses like a jackhammer to pavement. There were five of them. All chattering loudly and laughing. The smell of spirits was strong on them, she realized as she moved closer, for the first time smelling this above their blood.
Two teenage girls and three boys. The girls will have to be taken by force, she thought to herself with a ruefull grin. The boys will be no trouble to lure along. She smiled sardonically as she hid herself neatly in the shadows.
It was easy enough to trap the two girls while the boys talked. She wrapped one end of her shawl around each girl's mouth, picked them up with inhuman strength, and sped off towards the ruins.
'I bring you two females, Master. Full of life. And with terror now as well,' she bespoke her master, a evil grin lighting her beautiful features.
She deposited the two girls, unwrapping their mouths, bowing deeply to her master, and speeding off again, back towards the village.
The three boys, who had only just realized that the girls were gone, were looking glum. That is, of course, until Tali came into view. She Charmed the three easily and in no time had them following her out of the town. Back towards her 'house' in the woods.
When she reached the Ruins again, she made the three hide behind a large tree before she could 'unlock' her house and the spells keeping it from being seen. She smiled imply as what she told them worked. Humans can be so easily fooled! She said to herself, exasperated.
She went to her master and bowed. "I have three more waiting for you as soon as you require them, Master. Will you need any more?" Kilairiandralsilvantaslik.. The Abominiation... known to most as Airiana and Last of the Silver/Red Dragons
BIC: Tali went back behind the trees to fetch the three boys for her master, and snarled at the twin vampires who had already drank from them. 'The Twins have taken the rest of thy meal, Master.' She warned as she ran through the trees, back towards the village.
Now I'll have to find even more prey for Master! She thought to herself, grumbling as she stopped quickly in front of the Golden Dragon Inn.
She went in and looked around. The warriors had left, which meant that they must have been on their way to the edge of the town. Good, she thought. Master will need them soon.
'Master! Thy Prospects are almost there. They are coming to thee.' She sent absently as she scanned the room, looking for likely prey.
"Na-ah! I don't think so, Talissa!" A voice from behind her said as she felt the bite of cold steel into her neck. She cried out, not from the pain, for there wasn't any, being undead, but from the voice.
"Martis?!" She exclaimed, barely above a whisper. "You should have been dead centuries ago!"
The man, Martis, spun his once-fiancé around to face him. His face was pale, no longer golden-brown as it had once been, and when he smiled, she clearly saw the long canine teeth that where no longer human.
She gasped, realizing that her once-beloved was a vampire. "Martis! But.. how?"
At this he smirked. "Ha! You think that you are the only one who has ever met a vampire! The First, Akemi, made me what I am. She has sent me to find you, and to do with you what I will... as long as I keep you away from that Ancient, Maharus." He spat the name as if it left a bad taste in his mouth, but soon was smiling again. "You are coming with me!" He snarled, grabbing her up and running off into the night.
'Master!' She screamed mentally into the night as she was carried off to only the Gods and Martis knew where.
He heard her scream..... they were connected, he sired her after all. He threw his meal to the ground, the other children.... whimpering, back off as they felt the hot brush of air that was his temper. Tali?..... Who would dare take what is mine!?!, he visably shook, but regained his resolve and calm. And yet.... he was reluctant to leave.... here he was still gathering the last few threads of power that ran through the ancient temple stones. The alters, having been sanctified with blood over a period of centuries....... much power could be drawn..... and he would need it to face the First.
She was coming for him, Maharus could feel her.... almost touch.... " Come then Dark Daughter, let the blood of Vampyres be spilt once more..... bring me your power Great One..... ", he licked the blood off his lips, and turned to the other children..... Tali my servant, have patience my pet, free yourself if you can...... but I must gather strength..... OOC: WOO_HOO! The thread lives! Airana, could you have Martis fight with Ashlanti already?
BIC: Dorian was wandering. there was supposed to be a village around here somewhere....... He cursed the good temper that had let him accept directions from a kender. He suddenly felt a prescence. It was powerful, deadly. It was a feeling like old blood dried onto skin. And it was nearby. ~"A vampyre?"~ he wondered. His silver and black-red eyes glinted in the moon light. An ancient one too. He grinned. He hated all vampyres, and having served them almost all of his life, he killed all of them that he met. And this one would be another. He slowly slunk through the trees. He spotted a man standing on a pile of stones. Nearby some young humans cowered. A dead one lay at the vampires feet. Dorian felt a momentary flash of longing. He still had horrible memories of scavenging from the vampire's kills. Then he recognized this one.
~"Master????"~ flitted through his mind briefly. He knew this vampyre. And hated him. He had served this vampyre, so long ago, as a child. He remembered the smell of blood, a grin on a long-dead face, and fresh blood being given to him. He quailed. He couldn't face this one. Not now. He felt further away a prescence. The one who he had truly served. She of first. The mother of darkness. The avatar of the dragonqueen. She was near. He had served her long. But now he knew what he had to do. He had to face Maharus, his former master, and the master of his parents, and rescue those humans from a fate that was deserved by none.
He stepped out into the moonlight. "Maharus. You who long ago would have called yourself my master. Your powerful empire is a pile of stones beneath my feet. I'm terrified of you." He raised his eyebrows, and invited the attack, planning for it.
OOC: Can someone take over Martis please? I hate killing off my characters, but I don't think this would have been a good thread for Adrien......
Avenging_Angel!!!!! Dearie, I believe I have said things to you before… (As just about everyone else in this forum has to you, it seems)… But for one thing, Martis is my character. Did you mean one of your actual characters? Like Adrien or Ashlanti? I would hope so, since Martis is obviously not yours. Another thing, please would you at least try to have your characters interact with other ones already in the story. Which vampire is Adrien being attacked by? Currently, there are Maharus (busy), the Twins (snooping/busy), my character Martis (who is, BTW, not in the village any longer), and, I believe, a female currently residing in the Golden Dragon Inn (but she's a bounty hunter, and doesn't indulge in her vampiric roots, and thus wouldn't be doing it anyways). So are you creating a random vampire or is it one that's here? And if it is one that is here, you should specify! It makes for a confusing post if you don't! Not to mention the fact that if you are using a character already here, you are controlling someone else's character, something which is not tolerated in this forum!
*Takes a deep breath to regain control of herself.* Well, I believe I've ranted enough for one day… Now on to my actual post…
BIC:
At this he smirked. "Ha! You think that you are the only one who has ever met a vampire! The First, Akemi, made me what I am. She has sent me to find you, and to do with you what I will... as long as I keep you away from that Ancient, Maharus." He spat the name as if it left a bad taste in his mouth, but soon was smiling again. "You are coming with me!" He snarled, grabbing her up and running off into the night.
Tali was in a state of shock. Her fiancé! An undead! It just seemed wrong! No doubt Akemi thought that my once-love would have no problem controlling me. Well, that would have worked six-hundred years ago… before I met Maharus… She thought with a smirk to herself. I am not a woman to be trifled with, not now!
Then she felt Maharus's fury that someone would dare take his loyal servant from him.
"Tali my servant, have patience my pet, free yourself if you can...... but I must gather strength..."
Tali nodded her head and grinned evilly, sending an affirmation to her master. 'Have no worries, Master. I will do whatever it takes to return to you.'
It was at about this time when Martis stopped. They were far away, probably fifty miles at least, from the village they started in. He led her down some old, broken steps into the basement of a dilapidated, old brick building, seeming not to notice Tali's willingness to proceed: she'd stopped fighting with him.
Like many things, this went over Martis's head… way over, and it didn't seem to pile-drive him (on its return journey, of course) until he'd brought her in, locked the door, released her arm, and lighted a candle. When he let go of her, and she didn't flee, the pile-driver hit home.
He grinned maliciously as he blew out the match he'd used to light the candle. "Don't think you can get away from me, Talissa! Being nice now won't help you escape any easier later!"
Outwardly Tali was calm, but on the inside she was rolling with laughter. He doesn't have a clue, does he? He thinks he still has some sort of power over me! That vanished when I became Maharus's servant! He must think that I still, after all this time, am in love with him! At this point, Tali had to keep herself from scoffing aloud. "Not a chance, big boy," was what she wanted to say, but she kept herself from doing so. She decided to play him for the fool he was, which wouldn't be too hard.
"Martis, my beloved! Why would I want to escape from you! You're all I've ever wanted! You don't know how much I've missed you, wished you were with me. You just don't know." She said, playing the role of love and pity well.
Martis looked at her for a moment before walking across the room to sit on a chair. "I'm not your beloved, not anymore! I haven't been for centuries, and you know that as well as I do. You see, the difference between you and I is that I moved on, while you didn't." He said, leaning back in the chair, nearly tipping it over twice in his "lengthy" (at least for him!) speech.
Tali walked over to the bed, sitting on the corner sullenly. "I suppose you are right, Martis. But that changes nothing in my eyes." She said, still pretending as if she actually gave a damn. What her sullen, downcast face hid from Martis, aside from the truth, was that she was scanning the room, looking for anything sharp that she could stick through his heart.
Then she found it. A splinter of wood abandoned in a corner that had been overlooked. It wasn't large enough to do much, so it had been left behind. But, it was sharp and long enough to, with enough force, go straight through her ex-lover's heart. This wood was on the floor, not so far from the candle that was currently residing on a tabletop.
Now all she had to do was get Martis closer to her. If she dashed across the room with the wood, even as fast as she was, Martis might realize her intentions and make things difficult, though the chances of this happening were not great.
She sauntered over to the light and played with the candleholder. She looked at him the way she used to: with longing and love. "You have no feelings for me? Not at all?" She asked, toying with the candleholder still, pushing the loop of a handle from one index finger to the other. She pouted her lips and gave her best puppy-dog eyes, guaranteed to hook anyone, living or dead, as she had recounted in the past.
True to Tali's saying, Martis was hooked. He brought all four chair-legs back on the ground and stood up. "Well, for old time's sake, if it'll make you feel any better…" He said, walking over to her.
He went to embrace her with a kiss, but she was too fast. She slipped away from him and was back, quick as lightening, with the wood aimed at his heart. She slammed it into his chest, but made sure that it did not go all the way through. She smiled sadistically at the shock in her ex-fiancé's eyes. "You see, Martis… the difference between you and I is that I've moved on, while you didn't." She flipped his own words back on him just as she pushed the wood the rest of the way through his now-black heart.
Martis stood shocked for a moment, his mouth a-gape, before exploding into a cloud of ashes, the wood splinter hitting the floor amongst the pile that had been him. Tali sighed to herself, dusted off her hands, and stepped around the pile.
"Well, that's over and done with…" she murmured as she unlocked the door and opened it wide. "Now all I must do is get back to where I was… to the Ruins. But where on Krynn am I?" She muttered to herself, looking around the town she was in.
'Master? Unless there are any other problems, I will be with you soon. Martis, sent by Akemi, is now a pile of ashes.' She sent to her master, smirking.
BIC: Dorian laughed silently.~Child?~ His former master obviuously didn't know just how much Dorian had changed. Dorian smiled, his mostly silver eyes glittering in the moonlight. He simply walked across the pile of stones, and (I'm assuming Maharus's supper of children is tied up) untied the young people. "Go home." "The question is," started Serac appearing from behind Dorian.
"How are you still alive?"
"Didn't you have enought people after to for someone to drive a stake through YOUR heart?" The silver-clad twin vampire smirked and chuckled.
They whispered magic, and the first child that went to escape crashed into something-- and invisible wall of sorts. The rest of the children had the same problem. The twins (OOC: That feels cool saying....) advanced on them slowly and deliberatly, Seran practically invisible in the darkness, the moons obscured by clouds, and Serac glowing a pewter gray.
The children screeched loudly, but each was cut off by a simple application to a pressure point on the back of the neck. Seran looked at Serac, but the glowing undead merely shrugged. Seran grabbed two of the children and slung them over his shoulder.
"You can have the rest of them, Ancient," Serac said to Mahaurus, "We require much less food then you do." Seran said something under his breath as both children dissapeared. He wiped an invisible speck of dust from his black silk coat then in the blink of an eye they stood about two feet from Dorian.
"What should we do with him, Mahaurus?" Serac asked with a chuckle and a smirk, baring his fangs. (http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.
"I have something to inquire.. that broach... the black rose on the red backdrop... that is my family's crest! who are you?" Ayeka asked her blonde hair plasterd to her skull, as the rain began to fall harder.
"I am the first to walk this world... I created the rest... and had one child... your family comes from me... Young Drache.. The word means "Dragon" belonging to the most powerful creatures of this world... that includes your family..." Akemi paused and regarded Ayeka for a long, silent moment.
Tali nodded, using her master's voice in her head to locate him in regards to her current position. Martis was swift, to be sure. OOC: Angel, Maharus has no need to show your character any respect. Maharus is an Ancient, and so far you have not seen what an Ancient is capable of...... the only other Vampire in this thread capable of standing against Maharus is The First, and he fears her..... that should hopefully also give an indication of Her power.
With an synchronized shrug, both of them walked off. Serac glared at Dorian, but with a pat on his should from his brother, his loathing glance changed into a smirk.
"If we are capable of surviving the Empire' s downfall, then so is he. And none of us are really alive, anyway." Serac commented nonchalently.
"You never knew your place. You cannot match him, not even with both his hands behind his back. He is Ancient, child. Even we are older then you." Seran said matter-of-factly.
"And if you cannot beat us, which you cannot, then you will not, by all means, be able to hurt him in the least."
"Our piece has been spoken."
"We leave you to your own....things."
And then both dissapeared into the night.
No too far away, two children, sapped of life, were uncermoniusly tossed int he bushes under a large tree. The branches above were occupied by two humanoid beings, one glowing silver and the other practically invisible, both of their mouth streaked with crimson blood. One eye was trained on the ruins, watching Mahauras greedily drink the children's blood.
"Hopefully Mahaurus will kill him," Serac said and wiped the blood off his lips with a silver hankercheif, "Wouldn't that be nice." (http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.
Tali soon found herself back in the dreary little town she had been in before Martis had taken her. Yes, this is the place, she thought to herself, staring at the sign marking the Golden Dragon Inn. Now having her bearings, Tali made her way to the edge of the town, where the warrior men and women were waiting for her.
She smiled to each of them with Charm on her arrival. "Are all of you ready to have those things I told you of in my story?" She asked, looking at each of them intently. They all nodded their heads in ascent, even the elven warrioress.
"Good then," Tali said smiling. "Now follow me. Oh and where are Jon and the boy-child?" She asked, looking around.
"Over here, Lady Talissa Kiadri." Jon said, moving around the warriors and steering the curious boy in front of him.
Tali grinned, even though Jon used a name that she no longer thought of as herself. "Well, make sure the two of you keep up, okay?"
The two nodded their heads and Tali led them through a winding path in the forest until they reached the Ruins. "Master?" She called out tentatively, not wanting to bring in the prospects if he was busy eating. "I have your warriors, and they are ready for immortality. I also have a couple others for you… perhaps servants? If not, they could always be something else…" She said smirking, though not wanting to let the two know that they could become food for the warriors or the Ancient.
OOC: Dark master, if your character can be that powerful, so can mine...and he is. He's terrified of the first, but Maharus he could possibly take. As I said, he's one of the most powerful beings ever to walk Krynn. He took down a couple of dragon Overlords for crying out loud!!!!! And if your saying that a couple of overlords couldn't take Maharus, then your making your character insanely powerful, and thats gonna kill your thread. If the villains are to strong, people are like, "What the hell?? Why would anyone join this thread-none of my characters are good enough!" I'm just saying that it sucks when you don't pay any attention to my incredibly powerful character, and just say that your character is soooooooo powerful that he couldn't possibly notice mine! That makes me sooooo mad!!!!!!
with that said, would you all please afford Dorian some respect????After all, he's pretty much Solinari's avatar on krynn!
BIC:Dorian laughed. Just like an an arrogant undead to always underestimate those that he considered "beneath him". He always thought that it was ironic, that the elves, silvanesti, suffered from the same personality, as did the epitome of evil, the vampires. He smilingly raised a hand, and calling on his mental link with Solinari, destroyed the magic barrier that the twins had cast. He then, glaring at Maharus, grabbed the child by the arm, and pulled her away. Then he faced Maharus. He knew that Maharus was undoubtedly one of the most dangerous foes that he could possibly face. However, in the face of death itself, he smiled, as he had done when he had died before..........
OOC: Angel, what D_M meant was that his character was created very powerfully with a purpose. Mahaurus was the first 'cursed one', obviously he's the strongest. There really isn't an arguement there. Second of all, it's not how powerful a character is, it's how you play them. Mahaurus is a very powerful vamp, but nowhere near as strong as Akemi.....so you should also be complaining to Kalia about power issues if that's your point. My Twin vamps are weaker then Mahaurus by far, but since they had issues with him previously, he notices them. Mahaurus is meant to be powerful, it's part of his character, much like Karina.
Before I begin, this is not a flame. I am not biting your head off. If I was, there would be alot more caps. Constructism critism. Your best friend.
There are diffrent points to making a good character, which I think you've missed. First of all, a char's power doesn't matter as long as it fits the story and is played correctly. Also, certain character traits go with others. Int his one, Mahaurus is super-powerful and becuase of that, he's arrogant. Which leads him to give very little respect to others. Or the Twins are revengeful, which lead them to be annoying. Having one overpowerful character played correctly can be a huge boost for a thread, take Fernwood, which involved Minoa (who powerful enough to piss off a god and live) or DL Legacy, which had both Karina (demigoddess) and Zakuro (demon) in it. Also, you're saying the they're bad, but you're using one anyway! Superpowerful characters are bad if used INCORRECTLY. but only so. For that matter, sometimes a super powerful character is NEEDED -- they make great villians, for one. You shouldn't think people will automaticall say it's bad.
Also, if you don't have a character, make one up---I do that most of the time. That's where these vamps came frome, as well as Raq from Renegade. to be honest, every one of my characters was made up on the spot except Karina or evolved throughout the thread.
Also, is Dorian a vampire? If so, then having a connection with Solinari would be rather illogical, considering vampires were created spawned of dark magik....
I believe (I'm taking this from memory) IC, you made no mention of Dorian's power. Now, althought if Mahaurus had worked with him previously he would know of it, but if Dorian had served under Mahaurus....well, why would you respect your slaves? Even your former slaves? Even your own facts rise to contradict your wishes.
As for my twins, they wouldn't know of Dorian's abilities, and hence, would also not see a reason to respect him.
I think that's all I wanted to say.
OOC: Angel, you seem to have missed the part where this is my thread..... yes Maharus is powerful, FOR A REASON! And as stated by POD, he was the first Cursed One, in essence the first one to be bitten by The First Vampire. If you do not like the way that this thread is going, then there is one simple solution. Leave this thread. The others do not seem to have a problem with it, and I'm sorry that you do, however Maharus has such power as it follows a plot that I have created...... and with regards to showing your character respect, I'm afraid I stick with my previous statement on the matter. Maharus does not have to show your character any respect, its not within his nature. There is but one being on Krynn that Maharus respects, and that is the First, but this respect is drawn from fear.
Solinari's avatar? I'm sorry, but no. Solinari would not chose a creature of Darkness, if you are a vampire that is, as his mortal avatar.
IC:
Maharus cast his arms out, power whipped into a frenzy. The child in Dorian's arms was ripped from the creatures hold, and tossed into the air..... landing heavily by The Ancients feet. Smiling, he picked the child up, and snapped the small girls neck. She went limp in his arms, then slumped to the ground, her right leg still twitching. Shrugging, he turned his back and walked towards the broken alter lying ahead of him.
OOC: Thank you Princess-constructive criticism. dark master, Dorian IS NOT A VAMPIRE! He's a solinarian were-wolf, and he's powerful for several reasons.Thank you for explaining some facts about Maharus to me.
(a) He died as a Lunitarian-nuitarian were-wolf and was ressurected by Solinari in person.
(b) He toook out several of those horribly powerful overlords!
(c) with were-wolves, age brings power, and he's the oldest living were-wolf.
(d) as I said before, he IS solinari's avatar, because he's one of the chosen white-wolves. which means that he has a direct mental link with solinari, and can call on the gods magic at any time, and he has super-human strength.
with that said, this is an awesome thread, and I'm not going to leave.......
BIC: "Mahaurus, always arrogant. You always undrestimated those you considered beneath you. Things have changed. Changed greatly." He raised a hand, and calling on his link with the moon, cast a huge shimmering white wall in front of Mahaurus. "I can't let you escape and ressurect the empire. The people that would die...." He trailed off, and shook his head in horror. Then he smiled. His form shifted, and he became a six foot wolf. It had Dorian's strange eyes. OOC: Princess, thank you for not biting my head off. (and I'm being sincere)
BIC: Dorian laughed."My fight is with all vampires. You enslaved my race and brought us to think that we were less then you. We are better. Hell, we're alive!" He growled. "I have no reason to fear you. I haven't been afraid of death in a very,very, long time." He smiled .
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Lajol was walking through the forest absentmindedly. He stumbled over a stone and got dirt on his purple and green robes. He wailed. Then he noticed the stone was carved. "Oh my goodness! There must be ruins near by!!" he hurried ahead. He recognizedhis friend Dorian blackblade facing three vampires. "What??? They're tryinng to hurt him! Wondewr why? he's so personable." With that, Lajol Spykehair raised his hand and stepped out.
"Now just a minute! Whats going on here??" Dorian frowned. "They're vampires." Lajol was alarmed . "Oh no!! Don't worry! I'll save us!" Lajol lifted one of his pouches, and waving it around, began to speak the language of magic. THen the top of the pouch burst open, and the contents of a 250 pack of baby wipes flew out, and shaping themselves like bats, flew in a cloud and blinded the three vampires. "oops! That was supposed to be a spell to get us out of here!" He began wringing his hands. Then there as a clucking noise, and a purple chicken ran around Lajol's feet three times, and then with a poof! and a crow, Lajol and the chicken vanishe. Dorian shook his head. He picked them, and stepped in her way. "CaN't seeeee meeeeee lovin' nobody but youuuuu! For all of my liiiiiife!!!!" he sang, and gave her the flowers. OOC: I"m just as confused as you are POD.... and as far as Akemi being this powerful, she was supposed to be so from the start, as planned by D_M and I, nor has she really demonstrated her power yet...
BIC: Ayeka was transfixed by Akemi's voice, held in an almost involintary rapture by the woman's inherant power.
"To please my Queen, and to return to my slumber, Maharus must be destroyed." Akemi stated, her voice almost whisper soft.
Ayeka blinked and seemed to snap back to reality. "You mean to tell me that this Maharus that I've been hired to find is the First Cursed One?" Jennah whined softly and nuzzled Ayeka's hand as she made this revelation, while Akemi nodded silently.
"Where do we find him? I assume you know?" Ayeka asked and Akemi smiled.
"Of course, he is not far..." She said gesturing vaugely to the north. Ayeka followed her guesture, and nodded.
"Well at least it's not too far..." She said and started down the path.
Akemi followed and her eyes sparkled with malice. "Closer than you think, Granddaughter...." Akemi whispered, so softly that Ayeka could not hear.
OOC2: Yes, Akemi is Ayeka's Grandmother. Her only child was Ayeka's father, Adrian Drache. For those who remember the nightstalker threads, Adrian Drache was several thousand years old before Ayeka killed him. She asked coldly as she shook out her hand, the mauled flesh instantly returning to normal. She whispered a couple words in an odd-sounding language and the sunflowers all withered away and died.
Lowering his arms, Maharus quelled his power. Once the dust had cleared from the air........ everyone would have noticed the crater formed around The First Cursed. BIC: Dorian raised an eyebrow and turned to the twins. "Has he finally gone mad?" he said in low tones. " Challenge the first?????? That would be the equivalent of me challenging Nuitari. She created you, she is Darknes Of Blooc. As she made, so can she destroy you. I wish you both well together. And I go where I wish. It has been long since I took orders from any dead ones. I choose to stay and see your end, one that I will savor greatly." He leaned against a tree, and waited for The Dead to fight She Of Dark Death. Tali looked down coldly at Lajol, making sure to step on him as she passed. When he spoke, she took an angry sigh and picked him up off the ground by the collar of his robes, holding him high above her own head. "Look," she snarled visciously(SP?). "I may be undead, but I am not a vampire! I am a servant, and therefore devoted to my Master, and only my Master!!! I have no time to deal with snivelling humans like yourself. You are empeding me from being with my Master, and that could be a very fatal mistake." She growled, tightening her grip on Lajol's collar, and therefore his neck.
"Now, you incompetant fool!" She said, dropping him to the ground unceremoniously. "Leave my presence, for I will warn you no further. I may not be a vampire, but I am plenty strong enough to kill you in such a way that you would pray for a quick, merciful death!" She kicked dirt onto Lajol's face with one booted foot, soon followed by the other stepping on his head. As she walked away, she kicked him in the back of the head, smirking evilly as she made her way to the edge of the forest and the beginning of the Ruins.
"Shut that thing up, weakling!" Seran snarled at Tali, displaying a rare lose of temper.
Tali's eyes flashed dangerously for a moment at the word 'weakling', for the undead human knew that she was far from being one. She glared at Seran for a moment, then shifted her head, ignoring the vampire in favor of her master, who seemed to be in a mock-battle with a werewolf. She smiled impishly at the wolf-man.
She looked back at the twins, for a moment forgetting the events of a few seconds earlier. "Has the wolf-man gone mad? Is he really trying to take on Master? He must know that he cannot win!" She scoffed, then turned to the prospects, ushuring them closer. "See," she said, pointing to Maharus. "The awesome power that can be obtained?"
OOC: Lajol was a powerful archmage long time ago, ut he went crazy after dabbling in time-travel. Some god or another took pity on the crazy man, and chose him to be their avatar-representative. he's not as crazy as he was, and when the god posesses him, and he has a sane moment , he could probably destroy krynn, he's at least as powerful as Raistlin Majere. However, he has no desire to do those, so he uses his power to fight evil ^\_/^
IC: Lajol howled. Then he rose. "I can't let vampires overun the world!!!!" He frowned and sat, thinking. then his eyes cleared, and Dorian could tell that he was having a sane moment, after he had chased Tali into Mahaurus's prescence. He thought very hard. then he smiled. The insanity fled his face. He rose. "Vampires ruled krynn once. It will not happen again. He pulled out his pouches, not helter skelter like he done before, but organizedly. Still, seing She Who Is First was impressive. he smiled wolfishly at the woman. "I am Dorian Blackblade, servant of Solinari. Though you are my enemy, I still give you honor for your might and age, and wish you good luck in defeating this puffed up fool of an Ancient, who believes he's powerful enough to challenge you, when he's not even powerful enough to defeat me." He made a little mock-bow. "And Maharus,I hope you are completely aware that in the impossible case that you somehow defeat Akemi, I will fight you to keep the vampires from spreading: Akemi does not wish to spread you disease, and thus I support her." Ayeka stood silent beside Akemi, her eyes seemed slightly un-focused, though her grip on the silver edged sword remained firm.
"It was my Cursed Children who turned from the Queen, strayed from her Vision... to pursue their own petty goals... She let you fall on your faces, just as you deserved... " Akemi said, stepping slightly away from Ayeka's side.
Ayeka's eyes followed Akemi, but they still had a vacant, dazed look to them, and her hand tightened on the sword. Akemi reached out and brushed her fingers against Ayeka's arm.
And you let someone else have a char more powerful then yours, Akemi, so I see no problem in letting there be a third one. I think that Dorian adds interest to the "clash of the titans" by adding another titan. I cna tone it down a bit, have him be roughly Mahaurus's equal, but I'm sorry, that's just the way he is.Please don't abuse your powers as a DM, or i'll send Lajol back in........We all are faced with choices: choices that we regret, choices that we hate, and choices that we fear. OOC: I'm wishing I could keep my mouth shut...but I have only one thing to say and then I'm dropping it... if this where a real table-top D&D game, and the DM had the story in mind, and it didn't make room for a third "All-powerful" character, you wouldn't have been allowed to make yours.. it's a simple as that.. I know that if I did something like you have, my DM here would have laughed in my face.
D_M and I have a somewhat planned ending for this story, and your char is constantly standing in the way of it, we're trying to work around it but you're making it difficult. I'm not trying to be mean, or rude, I am simply stating a fact that D_M has been trying to say for quite some time.
one final point, I think that D_M was generous allowing you to join the story so late in the game (70th post) you really shouldn't complain.
BIC: Akemi now glared at the werewolf. "Silence were-kin... this is not your true battle... Even if he does manage to defeat me...there is one other that he will not..." "Vampires and their servants always underestimated those that they believed were beneath them. It must be a shock to your undead brain, but I could defeat the twins together, as well as your master. Don't you understand?? I am the White Moon manifest: only First can defeat me."
Tali glared at Dorian with such a look that would whither any mortal. "Arrogant above all, I see... just like the rest of your brethren," she sneered.
Akemi now glared at the werewolf. "Silence were-kin... this is not your true battle... Even if he does manage to defeat me...there is one other that he will not..." Akemi turned from Dorian, her dark eyes fixed on Maharus... "Shall we finish the feud that started with our love so long ago?" She questioned, and moved forward, closer to Maharus.
Hearing Akemi's words, Tali fell silent, though she had not been told to do so. It was out of revernce for The First, as well as to hear more of her master when he became the First of the Damned. She bowed her head, dark hair falling all around her. Kilairiandralsilvantaslik.. The Abomination... known to most as Airiana and Last of the Silver/Red Dragons
"shall we finish the fued that started with our love so long ago?"
A deep growl issued from his throat, ecohing in the chilling air. " Love? Was it ever that, Dark Daughter? ", he knew the truth of it, as did she. " Very well.... we end this..... now! ", the Ancient launched himself into the air, towards Akemi, power unleashed itself in torrential waves of utter darkness, desimating everything that it collided with.
OOC: A_A, it is as simple as this. Maharus is more powerful than your were-character, for a reason, if you do not like this situation, then such is your problem.In life there is torment...
In death there is passion...
and In chocolate there is yummy badness...
OOC: Angel, it's very simple: TONE DORIAN DOWN. There is a plot here, and there are rules. Follow them.
"A wereman? The White Moon Manifest?" Serac chuckled, "The God's Avatar would a mage, not a lycantrope, not one typically associated with our kin."(http://images.quizilla.com/T/trinitykills/1053662988_z3thetwins.jpg" border="0)want it.
OC: Well........ *angel part shushs the avenging part* I'll take dorian out and introduce someone else who's not nearly so powerful. Ok?
BIC:Dorian laughed. "The human race was created by the gods of neutrality, but my race, the white wolves, were made by Solinari. He is the only I answer." Dorian continued laughing in his head. Then suddenly he wasn't there anymore, at least not in his mind. He flung his head back and stared at the white moon. His eyes glowed such a bright silver that it hurt to look at them. He was in a place o light, a tall towere, made of white stone.
He was sprawled in one of the halls, and he hurriedly rose. Out of the window, he could see all of Krynn, even the glade where he'd been a moment before. A man in white robes was walking briskly towards him. "There you are!" the man said, coming to Dorian's side. "It took you long enough." Dorian sank to his knees. "Master..I should have made contact...informed you...but I wanted to see Mahaurus suffer....every time I look at him, I see my people under the thrall of his kind..." The man in white robes crouched beside him.
"It's all right. And stop it with this 'master' business, call me by my name." He grasped Dorian's upper arm, and pulled him up. "You can't go back there: you must not let your appetite for revenge get out of hand." Dorian growled slightly. "Aunt Takhisis's friend Akemi will deal with him. And if she fails, I will intervene. Is that alright?" Dorian's frown lifted. "Very well. What do you need me to do?" Solinari and Dorian walked side by side along the hall. "Go to icewall: a servant of mine has led some ice barbarians into the ruins of the Krystail castle, and I would prefer if you would lead them, and make sure that the thanoi are not too much of a problem." Dorian nodded. "I'll set out right away." Solinari smiled. "Very good. Now go back to your body, and i'll bring you here for a few more words."
There was a blinding flash of light, and Dorian woke to be back in his body. He shook his head, and rose. "As entertaining as this duel of fools is, I have business for Solinari elsewhere this evening, so master fool Mahaurus, and queen of fools Akemi, farewell." With a mocking bow, he rose. A streak of white lightning jumped from the white moon, striking him fully. For a moment he appeared to be on fire, with white fire, and then he was gone...........
OOC2:Was that ok with everyone?We all are faced with choices: choices that we regret, choices that we hate, and choices that we fear. But somehow we make these choices, and life moves on, because in truth, the choices make us.
OOC: Here's me new char.
Name: Wake Garret (dragon name is Kharadeatharanimis)
Race: Bone dragon
Gender: Female
Alingment: Evil
PAst: Wake is a faithful servant to Akemi and Takhisis. She is incredibly old, and very dangerous, but not as powerful as Dorian, or Mahaurus, or even Akemi.
Can she have one of the other chars be her arch enemy, like Tali or the Twins?
OOC: *bumpety bumP*In the blood, all bonds are made, all life is formed, and all truth is found.
Through the blood is family defined, and the lines drawn
Beyond the blood, there is chaos, betrayal, loss and grief. Without the blood, there is nothing.
