Weyrenth's Conclave was in meeting. One of their magi's, and red robe, had discovered quite an interesting and quite powerful tool of magic. He was now explaining it to the Conclave. The mage was of medium stature, at about 5.8 and look at about 150 pounds in weight. He was a scrawnly type that probobly could have used more food in him at most times. You could not see his hair or eyes, of any other features, for he was hidden under his red hood.

"Come forth Lord Wiat Belohis, and tell the conclave of this item that you have found on your journeys." Said Par-Salian, current head of the magi conclave, and leader fo the white robes. This mage was suspected to be the most powerful on Krynn.

From the corner of the robe, the read robe, Wiat, walked before the haft circle table where the heads of the conclave sat in waiting. He carred with him a large and old looking tome. It had a brown binding, and on the front cover it had a symbol eched in black. The symbol was a likness of the Lunatari, the Red Moon.

"I have found a tome of most interesting praportions..." The red robe said, a she held forth the book and opened it. All the pages were clear and blank.

"Why dont you explain it to us then," said Justarius, Wiat's direct master.

"The book operates on a form of the old languages. A kind of dilect that I have never seen before, and I have only begun to decifer the language, but, whatever you ask for in that old dilect, it shows you, on any subject, any possible question." Wiat said.

"I see....then you would do good to hand it over to us." Par-Salin said.

"Master, with respect, I would like to ask for a bit more time tos tudy this tome, to try and learn more of it's secrets."

The others seemed to eb udner great though for a long moment, untill Lodonna spoke up.

"You have two more weeks to study this tome. Is that understood?" She said.

"Of course Milady..." Wiat said, as he walked off slowly toh is room in an ajoined tower. Wiat knew that this would be a major turning point for him, because he knew he had to intention to return the tome to the masters of the conclave...

OCC: This is based on a Role playing session being udnergone by myslef and Princess, so I owe her alot of credit for thsi thread. I am posting it here because I would like to see how different things may turn out with additional characters. Lets see what happens. This is based after the war of the lance, but before the next war. All the Heros of the lance exist in this post.

OOC: You messed up the quote again. it's "May the Gods go with you...or rather, stay out of your ways..." Regardless, yes this is going on in a roleplay betwen me and him. So both his and my chars are already thought uop. However, we will not keep the plot sticking to what happened in real life.

Meanwhile, a man sat in a tree near a forest. He watched the tower waringly. (Not Wayrenth Forest!)

He watched it with an evil eye, that would shrivel one's soul. But the man was short, with only light leather armor on. Under it was a sword, a two bladed sword (Think Darth Maul Lightsaber-except Sword) A special harness held it in place. He was a mage hunter...only for his own game. The Conlave, he hated them and there stupid ideals. His forest, often a place for them to rest. They lost there. This was his forest, his trees. No one who didn't he didn't want to live, did. Perhaps then they would realize that they and their scum should stay out of his forest. Or perhaps not.

WIth a grin, he retired to a small cabin. Inside was a piece of deer, cooked and on a wooden plate. The rest of it sat near the door, cooked but cold. He slowly at his dinner and returned to the trees.

When Wiat made it back to his room he sealed the door, and placed the Tome on his small bed. He slowly removed his robes, and all of his markings of the conclave. then then went over to his magic trunk and muttered the spell that openeing it. Inside he found two magic items he ahd been slaving for months over trying to create. He did a good job. Weaving both Wild Sorcery and High Sorcery into these objects, a staff and a set of sapphire robes, these objects were defenatly one of the gerater oens he had come in contact with before.

The robes were enchanted to give him powerful protection from other spell work, and to aid him in the casting of several of his own spells. Their natural color was a pure and beaityful sapphire They also had the ability to chnage color, so that he would not be noticed so quickly for what hes about to become, a renagade.

The long staff was made of black ivory, and was void of anything else other then that, untill you reached the top, where a clear blue sapphire sat. Also, unless you looked closesly, you would not see that the entire staff had runes carvered into it. Durring powerful spellwork, which the staff was desinged to do, the runes would light up in blue.

He put the sapphire robes on, and strapped the staff to his back. Them he strapped several small pouches under his robes to his waist. They contained rare and valuable spell component, and a small bit of steel coins. Finally, on his back he also strapped a larger pouch. In this pough he placed three of his own most knowlageable spell books, and of course, the 'Tome of All Knowing.'

When he was ready, the 59 year old human mage made his robes turn red, and he put his hood over his head and left his room, to head to the stables. He was almost there when a vocie called behind him.

"I see through your trick, Wiat....."

Ladonna was behind him."To see your world in a grain of sand,

A soft laugh followed. "Where might you be going, Wiat? Not coming back, i suppose. YOu want to keep that tome...don't you? What could i have expected...."

She walked up to him and muttered a spell of...dispelling. Instantly, his robes went back to their blue hue. "As expected....."

"Indeed I do, and I will pay it back at some point Milady." Wiat said, as he continued on to the stables and found the ebst of the stalions. Wiat starpped food and water ratiosn to it, and was quickly off, without a trace.

Two Weeks Later

Wiat had been riding in secret for days now. His food and water rations were running very low, and now he had stumbled into a dark forest, only half aware because of starvation. Wiat was defenatly not used to being no his own.

His horse trotted slowly through the forest as he slumped on the horses back. Wiat could sense a presence of some sorts enarby, but he was unable to do much about it in this condition. His horse trotted on at an even slower pace."To see your world in a grain of sand,

It was early morning. Wiat was asleep againts a tree, his horse loyaly waiting next to him. He was happy to finally have gotten some sleep, but he suffered from delusion from not eating or drinking since his rations ran out. Slow he was awakening."To see your world in a grain of sand,

There was rustling leaves, and Piper appeared in front of him. "Back, I am!" He took one look at the mage's condition and cocked an eyebrow. "You want some food? I have some in a cabin not too far from here ya look like you could use it!"

He whistled merrily as he pulled out a small hand-carved PIccolo and began to play it quietly.

"Indeed some food would be nice." Wiat said, using his staff as leverage to stand. As they walked through the forest, Wiat almost stumbled several times. Piper's dwelling was small and made the impression he did little in it. Outside was a piece of deer on a spit, and part of it was already cooked on a wooden plate. He hadned it to the mage.

"Here here!" Piper said with a strange grin. "So, you named?" In reference to a friend who's name means cabbage, and he's sick: "Poor cabbage, he's wilting." -Blake

Wiat thought of giving the stranger his name, but though that it would serve them both better if he gave a alias, so that the Conclave would not have reason to hunt this man.

"I am called Leo." Wiat said. He quickly took to the food and water that had been provided to him, and found that it was excellently prepared. It was quite good, and Wiat was sure that he would eat his full. Soon, his energies would be restored.

Menawhile, At Wayrenth

"Lord Salin!" Souted the servent magi as he ran into the chambers of meeting lloking very started.

"What is it young one?" Par-Salin asked.

"It is Lord Wiat, he ahs disappeared!"

A red robe and a white robe wandered throught the forests.
"SO this guy wears blue robes?" The white robe asked.

"Yah." The Red explained to him. He then noticed Piper. "Hey, you! Did you see a person in blue robes around?"

Piper gave an encentric smile. "Nope no. No blues. Only Reds and whites yourselves." He dissapeared into the trees as he unhooked his two bladed sword and came down behind them. In reference to a friend who's name means cabbage, and he's sick: "Poor cabbage, he's wilting." -Blake
