A new age upon was dawning. For a hundred there had been relative peace and prosperity amongst the the people of krynn. The gods had given much leeway to the mortals in this span to make their own decisions.

Until one fateful day when the evil god takhisis once again tried to gain sole control of the world..........another dragon war had begun.

And yet again she was in the end defeated. This time in an unconventional way. Her victory almost assured, both the gods of good and neutrality used the one weakness in all of takhisis evil plans, evil turns upon itself.

They promised the dragons of both good and evil soveriegnty over the world if they would turn against her. The evil dragons redily accepted and thus so must the good dragons in order to insure that krynn would not become a plaything of the evil dragons.

And thus began the Dragongod war. embued with even more power than before, the dragons laid waste to much of krynn as the gods fought amongst each other and the dragons fought amongst themselves.
The war raged on until one clever red dragon found a means to end it all, and in the process gain control of krynn.

A meeting of the gods was held. In attendance were the leaders of the dragons as well. Delmyre a gold dragon rose to speak. He was in his prime and was a very powerful force in the war. many a dragon he had killed and he had held his own against the gods as well. He knew what was to be done. He had thought this moment through a thousand times. With a word a magic he sent a powerful blast towards takhisis, being the god that she was...it merely stunned her. But in that instant her fate was sealed. The dragons were upon her, with powerful spells and breaths they attacked. The other gods assisted them, giving them more help and casting spells of their own. takhisis and her allies were no more, but at great cost. few of the gods survived and even fewer of the dragons. All knew the the heafty price to be paid and its perils. those who survived must now adhere the agreement.

The gods, weakend after the war chose to leave krynn and regain their strength, least they were to feel the same fate as takhisis. knowing one day they would return to reclaim krynn.

The dragons, took the form of humans and gained the trut of men and woman alike. Rising to power and rebuilding the lands to their liking. Evil and good alike.

All.......except one.

For being the dragon to first turn upon takhisis delmyre was forever bound in human form. he kept his dragon powers but wold never weild that form again. His skin was coal black and his eyes as blue as the purest saphire.
He had not intended for dragons to take over the earth, unbeknownst to the mortals. he felt this too deceptive. And for that he was shunned. It was now his crusade to unmask the dragons of krynn for who they were. he would she the name delmyre, a name only very few still knew. this was a time of darkness.....a time of peril. he would crusade for the mortals of krynn, for his own honor, to avenge the treachery laid upon him. From henceforth he would be known as............Nightbane

The beginnig of what would be known as The age of Deception had begun.

OOC: 10 years have passed. The dragons have firmly established there domains.

Anyone playing a dragon MUST stay in mortal form of what ever race they chose. Mortals do not know that dragons are leading them.

The rulers are all in the form of the race they rule.

Only other dragons can recognize each other.

The only gods left on krynn are the three gods of magic, which means mages are under 4th age rules (better magic).

BIC: Nightbane had traveled a long ways to reach palanthas. He knew here there would be rest. he also knew that he could find the assistance he would need. the time to start the revelution was at hand and he would find the dragon that was controling the land much like a puppeteer would his puppets. He stopped at a nearby inn to see if he could gather more information. His cloak and hood covered him adequatly as to not cause attention to be turned on him he entered. Sitting queitly in a shadowy corner he ordered a mug of ale and waited.....Being wise is knowing that there is yet more to be learned.

two elves walked into the Inn, both seemed a little travel worn, the male more so than the female. The warrior wasn't as dressed as fine as the woman, his dark hair pulled back from his face and his cloak was a little tattered. He led the Elf Maid to a chair and ordered for her.

Rilana TwilightJewel pulled the hood of her cloak away from her face, allowing her short silver hair to fall free. It was cut short and barely met her shoulders, but it curled becomingly around her face. Her eyes where a brilliant violet-blue, and they locked upon Nightbane, and she nodded silently.

She wore a gown of worn violet silk, and no real extravagant Jewlery, only a simple silver bracelet, and a pendant that hung around her neck.

The warrior that had come in with her, returned with a glass of wine for her and a tankard of ale for himself. She smiled and thanked him, and he smiled back, slightly flushed. Rilana ruled over the elves, and she was a kind and gentle ruler, and a fierce opponant to those who threatened her people.

Night bane nodded in return. he had hoped she would be there. He knew of the meeting that was to be held in palanthas between her and the leader of the humans, a dragon he had yet to identify. The mortal humans were under the tight grip of an opressive ruler, undoubtly one of the cromatic evil dragons was pulling the strings.

The ensuing tensions between the elves and the humans ment this meeting had to take place. And the time was now......to find out all he could before it took place. Rilana TwilightJewel, had been a friend many years ago. She remained one of the few who had held true to the purpose of the dragons ruling krynn, as speaker of the sun and ruler of the elven nation it was her duty to try and keep the peace.

"Very Little, Elder..." she said softly, and the eyes of the warrior elf narrowed slightly.

"M'lady, I do not like this....you seeing the lord of the humans alone..." He said shifting uncomfortably.

Rilana smiled and lay a hand gently upon the warriors arm. "Do not fret so Sorwin....you know very well that I do not go alone." She turned her violet eyes back to NightBane.

"Sorwin is my twin...While I protect our people, he protects me." She said softly, lowering her voice because all could see that the warrior elf looked nothing like her. Sorwin turned his pale grey eyes to Nightbane, and made an odd sound in his throat.

"this will be the first time I have met this Lord but I know that he is cruel, and the humans he rules over are jeleous of the way my people live, of the fair rulings of my word.

A cloaked figure entered the inn very quickly and swiftly. He sat down at a table that was close to a window. He peered outside Nothing.... and then looked around. His eye was caught by what seemed to be two elves and a human... Could that be the leader of the elves? Why is she here? She must be meeting our foul leader..

"If he comes here... he will taste my blade." He said in an almost whisper to himself. "I swear it, no matter what happens he will dye by my hand. Even if it means that I have to die too."

"No.... you do not go alone. I will be with you, in the shadows unseen."

He well knew that whomever was ruling the humans was someone who cared little for their well being. The humans had become much more aggressive in aquiring land. Their lust for the elven lands of the qualinesti and silvanesti had caused great anomosity between the 2 races.

He knew he would have to discover who was behind it all before he could make his move. One by one he would destroy the evil rulers or die trying.
His only dilema.......Even the so called 'good' dragons have become caught up in their own righteousness that they too are losing site of what was agreed upon many years ago. it would be easy to uncover the totaly evil rulers, the problem will come when the dissillusioned will have to come to grips with their error.......or........he didnt even want to think about that. He could only think of the task at hand, and that was assurring the safety of Rilana and usurping the ruler that misguided the human race.Being wise is knowing that there is yet more to be learned.

A foul wind lent itself to the air of the tavern as if in omen of things to come. The dust trembled as the pounding hooves of dark horses rent themselves against the wooden stoop of the building, caring not for the ensuing splinters and screams. The sound of rabid snorts and the scrape of a hardened boot gave preview to the wrenching squeal of protesting hinges as the door of the Inn was nearly cast from its frame.

He entered, not caring to hide, his dark cape sweeping the expanse of the outer world as if he had swallowed it whole before descending on the lasting peace of the patrons. His face was hidden by a mask of death, the large skull of some unknown creature twisted in last moment of agony. It appeared still alive, perhaps still rotting, large ruby eyes glittering with the coldness of he who has seen a thousand twisted souls and mangled bodies that cry out to his amusement. His armor was as dark as dried blood, his bearing horrific, as big as to be able to crush a human head with one hand.

He stood in the doorway, laughing.

Behind him were a host of companions, hulking men with bare chests and bloody swords long enough to be spears. They also laughed, but without making a sound, their eyes frozen in corruption.

At his side was a slip of a girl, clinging to his arm and attempting to hide her face from the awful sound of his laugh as it cascaded with icy fingers into her soul. But there was nowhere to hide, but for the rank expanse of his cape and so she was enveloped in its madness, dead to the world save for one white shoulder and a lock of ruby hair. She shivered uncontrollably, and a sliver of black emerged as she surveyed the scene, then quickly retreated back into darkness.

And he stood in the doorway, laughing.Computer games don't affect kids…if Pacman had affected us as kids, we’d all be running around in darkened rooms munching on magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Flandrake

Flandrake raised an eyebrow as the human leader entered. He looked older now but he was still young when looked upon by normal eyes. If The Dark Queen was killed he was promised death but it never came. He had hunted her all his life, even training one in his ways but he still lived. After her death Flandrake became a wanderer which wasn't welcomed. There was no more room for the wandering adventurer; even kenders were not common as the were in the past.

Flandrake spent several years wondering why but no answers came. There were several rulers who were blood thirsty or violent dictators. He rose up with several others and started a rebelion in the west throughout the islands, the ones with rulers Flandrake felt needed to be taken down. He had traveled to Palanthas trying to gain information; he found it.

He would remain quiet for now but he kept his hand close to a dragon tooth dagger. He calmly took another drink of his wine and waited.

OOC: Flandrake is half demon half wild elf. He can "grow" out black wings and has a few magical or rare itmes because of his 400 years of traveling. He doesn't has red eyes slightly almond shapped. He also has a demon form he can transform into. His hair is about shoulder length and usually pulled back, with slight scruff.
I hope he's okay, and can Flandrake sense that you guys are dragons? Also I'm still not sure how much power these "dragons" are now. Could you clear that up for me please? Today is a good day to die...

OOC: All the dragon lords fought against AND survived a war between Gods and other dragons, and played a part in the death of taki. Consider them the size of mayls in dragon for (they are forbidden from taking dragon form at this time). they were also given added powers by the gods to aid them in fightng tak. So in short they are just a step below the gods. They wont really fight each other directly because they are all more or less equal in power (for now) and a battle would be disastorous for both the winner and loser. The loser of course will die.....the victor will be too weak to combat any other lords who may wish to take advantage of the weakend lord, which can uneasy peace amongst the lords but not neccessarily the people they rule over.Being wise is knowing that there is yet more to be learned.

BIC: Rilana looked up, and Sorwin stood. they both knew this man for what he was...but Rilana puzzled over the girl she saw for a brief moment at his side.

Everything he knew.. his brother had taught him. His brother had been tortured to death for trying to rebel. His anger grew for not saving his brother. He felt torn apart. His brother was his only family left, and now he too was gone.

A tear trickled down his cheek, he wiped it off. "This will be my last tear, until I kill your murderer, brother."

Nightbane took a step back deeper into the shadows of the inn, he was pleased to see the Rilana had not rushed into action and caused a scene. Now was not the time for combat, or for things to be said that ordinary people should know about at this time. He could only wonder at why the human lord was here but at the moment he had to try is best to become unnoticed. His hope was that maybe the human lord had come to escort Rilana to his palace inw lew of there meeting.

He made his way to the best table of the Inn just before the fire, and seemed amused as humans fell over themselves to get out of the way of him and his men. The young girl kept pace without emerging one inch from his black cloak until he paused before his chair and snapped his fingers at her. Her eyes emerged and pleaded with him. He snapped his fingers again and then turned away, ignoring her as he stared down the bar wench that wasn't moving fast enough with his ale. She sighed, hurt, and slipped soundlessly from his presense, making her way untouched through the crowd despite how her innocent movements and scanty clothes might make her desirable.

She arrived before the elven table in short order and curtseyed low before Sorwin and then even lower before Rilana. When she spoke, it was as if air, but no sound, could pass through her lips. "Gracious Speaker to the Sun of Day and the Stars of Night, my Lord and Master Dreadslayer, Glorious Ruler of the Free Peoples of Man, He of a Thousand Conquests, sends you his most humble greetings and wishes to submit the honor of joining his table to you and your companion." She curtseyed again, this time keeping her kness bent and head bowed, though her bright eyes appeared from beneath her hair as if to hurry their reaction.Computer games don't affect kids…if Pacman had affected us as kids, we’d all be running around in darkened rooms munching on magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Rilana stood slowly and nodded to the girl. "Please stand....I will meet with your Lord, 'tis why I came..." She started forward, but Sorwin's hand closed on her arm. With a glare of pure fury, she pulled her hand free, and turned her back on him....all seemed unaware of the full conversation between these two elves.

Sworwin's pale eyes narrowed, but followed Rilana, to her right and slightly behind, his eyes missing nothing.

Rilana stood before the table by the fire, her dark violet eyes filled with only perfect calm. She greeted Dreadslayer with a silent nod, acknowledging him as her equal. Sorwin Stayed at her side, and though he said nothing, his eyes spoke volumes.

"Greetings, Lord of Men.... I, Rilana Speaker of the Sun and Stars, Ruler over the Elven nations, greet you... Is our meeting to be held here?" she aksed calmly, pleasantly. Her silver hair shone bright in the firelight, her eyes like misplaced stars from the heavens.

starlite4774
04/13/2003 12:18 PM

Dreadslayer said nothing, his face unreadable from behind his hideous mask. He did nothing to acknowledge her presence, save for turn in her general direction. The girl's glance darted toward the refuge of his cloak but his mask turned in her direction and she made no move. It was obvious, though, how badly she wanted it--her flight before to elves back to the table was evidence enough of that.

She licked her cherry-red lips. "My Lord and Master returns you greeting and conveys his suprise at your presence here. It is a pleasent coincidence and, if you so wish it, he will clear the tavern for our meeting. Or, if you prefer, O Graceful Elf Queen, we can adjorn to more impressive surroundings."Computer games don't affect kids…if Pacman had affected us as kids, we’d all be running around in darkened rooms munching on magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

04/13/2003 1:15 PM

Flandrake continued to whatch Dreadslayer and Rilana. He wondered if Dreadslayer had anything planned. He also wondered why The Speaker would come here, to his domain.

All would be answered if he kept his senses opened, besides this could provide usefull information to the rebel forces. He just hoped Bowen could keep the ship ready for leave if things got too hot for him.

OOC: Bowen is another rebel he is human. He isn't a main character, I just wanted you to know how Flandrake got here. Bowen is from Egroth, he is captain of The Lance (the ship Flandrake came in). The ship has a small crew, everyone is just waiting for Flandrake to get back.

Also what happened to the Solmanics? Where they replaced with dark knights? And is it racial rulers or kingdome rulers? Cause if so then Egroth and Solmania are rulled by the same dragon. Today is a good day to die...

Kalia_Majere
04/13/2003 1:15 PM

Rilana, this time made no move to acknowledge the girl, and instead continued to keep full eye contact with Dreadslayer.

"Perhaps tis best that we "adjourn to more impressive surroundings" as you say... I have no desire to chase off those who where here before us, no matter their station." She replied smoothly... Sorwin made a momentary glance to his twin and he thought of Nightbane....wondering if the disgraced Gold would follow.

"After you, M'lord..." Rilana gestured gracefully.

((OOC: Flandrake, I'm under the impression that the rulers are racial, so Dreadslayer is in charge of everything human save for rebels like your characters. I'd prefer it if you kept the rebel group small and, if it is mine to choose, human knights have been officially disbanded. Dreadslayer's army is one of barbarians and servant mages. Unless Ontarys says otherwise, of course. :)))

A deep laughter issued from the death mask and was echoed throughout the tavern by barbarian and cowering human alike. The mask's impassive eyes were all that met Rilana's gaze as she sought to address Dreadslayer and not speak through his servants. The girl's left hand trembled and saught the chilled folds of darkness. "My Lord and Master is in agreement that there are better places in which to hold our meeting, Lady Elf," she said, obviously pausing over the part her Master was not in agreement with. Still chuckling, Dreadslayer brushed past the two elves, taking point. His barbarian, sloshing their last bits of ale, also surged forward without looking back, leaving the pained girl to escort the elves.

The girl paused, looking around the tavern. There were assassins here, but then there were assassins everywhere as of late. It was nearly time for Dreadslayer to make another example and quell the rebel ranks. She shuddered and shivered. There were other shadows here as well, but her concentration scattered as Dreadslayer swaggered through the door. "This way, please..." she whispered, willing the elves to proceed her. Rilana nodded, and this time acknowledged the girl. Sorwin followed Rilana, unwilling to leave his sibling alone.

Sorwin....relax my brother....I doubt we will see any trouble yet...no need to be so tense.... Rilana's voice whispered in his mind. Sorwin's grey eyes met the violet depths of hers and visibly he relaxed, though his eyes remained restless.

Better... Her voice laughed.

You take this too lightly.... He snapped.

Do I? she laughed again, knowing that Sorwin was the act first ask questions later type...never one to truely think things through. This is why she ruled here....

She followed the barbarians that followed Dreadslayer....angered slightly by the fact that they did not follow him personally, yet amused by it at the same time.

Yes, other shadows indeed. Nigtbane could barely control his anger as they left the inn. "He is much to overconfident. Ruling amongst these humans has given him a false sense of superiority. That shall be his downfall."

The people of he inn were just now getting there wits together. They were in awe and fear of the human lord but they didnt know why. Of course he had killed many, and was a great warrior in battle. But it was something more. Little did they know it was dragonfear.

"One day the people of the world shall know the treachery that has befallen them by the gods and dragons alike both good and evil."

He watched as Rilana and the Human lord made their way to his palace.
He need not worry for her, he was sure she could handle herself plus she had the assistance of her bodygaurd. All the same he would follow and see what he might learn. And when the time was right...............

And don't worry the rebels are small besides I was planning on having Flandrake tell Bowen to go back to base without him but I have no clue where this thread might go.

IC: Flandrake would not follow, at least not yet. He would wait least give up his position. Dreadslayer would gladly kill him, taking out the leader of the rebels would make his troops happy. Flandrake didn't fear Nightbane and Rilana but Dreadslayer he was mindfull of. Flandrake finished his drink and tossed a coing on the table. He stood and went for the door pulling his hood low over his face.

Flandrake looked from side to side, the muddy streets showed the tracks, the tracks of an unkept city. He moved quickly until he saw shadows in the distance. He slowed and calmly walked.

In the shadows he waited. Every now and then he would move from shadow to shadow but, he knew that there were others also in the shadows. He didn't know where but, he could tell. He knew that the lady of the elves would not travel with only one bodyguard. He had been following them from a distance.

He stopped to look for the tracks sense that was the best way to follow them. The humans lord might have scared the others in the inn, but when Drake saw him, his anger just grew and grew. He knew that their was a rebellion going on, but they were small in numbers. His brother was one, and he paid dearly. Yet, Drake did not join the rebellion, he didn't like taking orders.

It was his way or nothing. He knew that their had to have been more guards, but where? Surely the lord would not travel without more guards, but maybe it was a trap. He would just have to be patient and wait, like his brother always said. "I hate waiting, why do I always have to wait." He said to himself in a whisper. He unsheathed his blade, he would end this now...

Dreadslayer strode to his horses without looking back to check if his "guests" were following. He jumped onto the back of the largest, most foul-looking horse of the bunch and not before he was settled did his companions dare jump onto their own bareback steeds. The horses, black as a cesspool which light would not touch, foamed at the mouth and reared in protest. The barbarians reigned in their steeds harshly--at least Dreadslayer intended to wait for the elves before tearing into the wind.

The girl wove through the crowd and out the door, pausing to look longingly at her usual seat just in front of the human tyrant before guiding the elves attention to a lone horse, slightly less battered and bruised than the others that was waiting without tether nor sharp word.

"The stallions are very tempremental," the girl whispered. "My Lord and Master realizes that you probably have your own horses, but he would prefer it if you would leave them here and use this horse." She nodded at the lone horse and shuddered. "He is...unpleasent, but much easier to handle then the others." She waited for a second and then could stand it no longer. She ran to her master's side and took up a seat right in front of him. Dreadslayer did not acknolwedge her presense; his mask turned toward the elves, waiting to see what they would do. The dank, riderless stallion tossed his head proudly and reared with a terrible screech. Rilana was upset at such treatment....not of herself but of the stallion before her. Without a word, she stepped away from Sorwin's side, and reached her hand up. To those around her, they immediately felt a sudden sence of calm and peace.

The stallion checked himself mid-rear and then fell back to all fours, head down, as though ashamed with himself. Without hand or help, Rilana Climbed up onto the stallion's back, and her "servent" climbed up behind her, His arms wrapped around her waist, as she allowed the horse to move forward of his own will....she touched neither heel or crop to his side, and merely used the reins for a means of security, not to guide him.

The Stallion was caught off guard by such gentile treatment, and followed the rest without a fight.

A murmur of laughter once again flowed through the human barbarians, save for one: a large man with an angry scowl. "You've destroy'd his spirit, Elf Witch," the man said, his voice a low and menacing rumble. "He was best in Training and now he will be put to death and for what?!" the man spit, "So you can have a calmer ride? Because you prefer an enslaved beast to a warrior?" The man lost words after that and looked as if he would jump off his own stallion and attack the elves. But the death mask turned in his direction and the man collasped back from his tense perch and did not look at Rilana again, though the horizon felt the heat of his sorrowful glare.

The death mask turned towards the elves and there was the impression of laughing, though no sound. The girl whispered. "You do not know our ways and for that you are forgiven. It has been a long while since elves and Humans met to have any discussion of any kind. I would ask if you would forgive Trilen for speaking that way. He is most proud of his Stallions..." Turning to the girl, Rilana smiled. "You may tell him that he has nothing to fear of his horses....as soon as it leaves my presence, it will return to it's fierce self...and, if you are unsatisfied, I will buy the stallion from you...to spare it's life." She tapped the horse on the flank and he trotted forward.

The girl shook her head. "The stallion will not be spared," she whispered. There was a moment of silence between the barbarians and then the proud stallions, turning away from their disgraced cousin, fled toward the horizon. They rode hard and fast, never slowing, never stopping until the country road gave way to a road of steel. The echo of metal on metal stretched for miles, and the call home was issued from the braying of large horns. A cold work of art rose slowly above the horizon, a building that was undeniably impressive and yet seemingly made from spare parts. Every frozen metal slab, every bit of morter had a purpose, a design. Rooms were added as needed, the result being a mosiac of human sweat and inginuity. A drawbridge was lower by the strength of a thousand men, granting passage over the pit of fatal spikes that prevented seige and escape. The horses slowed on the metallic road just before the lowered bridge and stopped dead in their tracks...Computer games don't affect kids…if Pacman had affected us as kids, we’d all be running around in darkened rooms munching on magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

He had been running after the group for awhile now, he had lost sight of them and was beginning to worry. "I hope I can catch up." He started to run faster. To anyone that had seen him, it looked like his feet weren't even there. He quickened his pace.

Then he heard horns. He slowed down and looked into the horizen. He saw what seemed to be a building made from spare parts. He ran quickly and queitly up towards the group, he of course he kept his distance. Yet, he could see the drawbridge being lowered.

He looked at the spikes. "There is only one way to get in there, by following the group in or I could wait until they came out. That is if they ever come back out." He didn't know what to do. He decided to wait and watch...

OOC: Drake and Flandrake lol didn't see that.

IC: Flandrake whistled softly when the group left and a bird swooped down. Flandrake quickly wrote something and put it in a carring cae on the bird's leg; he then sent it off. Flandrake started to run after them when his work with the bird was finished. As reached toward a bridge and a shadowed figure he had senced before. He slowly move toward him and tapped him on the shoulder,"You following Dreadslayer and Rilana too?" Today is a good day to die...

OOC: OMG i hope that wasnt directed at me. Cause if another dragon hasnt noticed me yet, how could i slip up and be discovered? Stiil.......soaringeagle and flandrake, one of you will be leader of the human rebels. so you should somehow meet each other and decide to turn back and raise for help from the people. it is certain death to try and fight at this time.

Too many darn assasins lol, i'd be careful if i were you guys. You wouldnt want dreadslayer to ummmmmm notice he was being followed ;) >:)

BIC: Nightbane paid special attention to the castle. and he knew that in time he would have to return to it. Now was not the time to attack, he was sure that Riliana would be safe at least for the time being. She would return from the meeting with more information and better insight into the human lords objectives, he could make his move once any weaknesses were pointed out.

He knew there were rebels still in the city. He would return to the inn and try and find them. They would be needed once the revolution started.Being wise is knowing that there is yet more to be learned.

He turned around to see a shadowed figure. "Who are you? And yes I am but, I have also come here to try and kill Dreadslayer. You see he killed my brother for trying to rebel." He looked away.

"And for that he will pay." He took a glance back. "No, they've started to close the drawbridge. I'll have to go back to the inn." He started to walk and then turned to the figure. "Well, I guess we could get to know each other if you would like to go back to the inn?" He then turned and started walking away.

I was just waiting for Kalia before I went ahead. :)))Computer games don't affect kids…if Pacman had affected us as kids, we’d all be running around in darkened rooms munching on magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

OOC: Don't worry I had no intention of attacking Dreadslayer and plus I never said what was writen on the note, I made sure I could be flexable.

IC: "I suppose...I sent word to my companions that I know where Dreadslayer is." Flandrake walked along side him,"I have several allies here, because after all I am the leader of the rebels. You say your brother was killed? Was he part of our group?"

---

Bowen looked toward the city and heard a bird cry. He looked and saw Glen, a messanger bird used. The bird landed...Bowen quickly read the letter.

"Marcus, Chase, Blank, spread out the word to the underground, the rebelion will be soon." Three men got off the boat a dissapeared in the new forming fog.

OOC: I never how soon....Besides Flandrake will probably want men from Ergoth, Sancrist, and Abasinia to come. Today is a good day to die...

(OOC: Two questions: 1. When on the timeline is this? (far future, far past, ?) and 2. How about small foreign dragons? J'mes and Sarumth would have gone back to Pern if it got too dangerous, but they could easily come back if its all right. I think Timesplit is too powerful for this thread and my other characters would be anachronistic.)The sword, it thirsts to drink of man.

"It doesn't matter to me who takes him down, I'm tired of his rule. I'm tired of most of these "new" leaders. I was alive since the first dragon war, this is not how races should be rulled, by power hungry dictators! Others share this veiw, thats why I began rebelions. You remember the battle of North Keep, I started that. But I was betrayed and as a result, Dreadslayer barely had to lift a finger to stop me....Many men and women died that day...." OOC: I vote that I continue my thread ;)....just got a lil busy sorry. As for thistles question, considered the same period as the beginning of the fifth age except the three gods of magic are still around to give the gift of magic to the mages. The others gods are curently 'resting' and will be addressed in future thread.Being wise is knowing that there is yet more to be learned.

Screams, fire, and death.

"Sir, Dreadslayer's forces have breached the west wall!"

"Head back to the ships, order a full retreat."

"What about you Sir?"

"You have your orders, now go!" He looked out the arrow slit once more, death.... Black energy engulfed his hand he punched through the wall, sending stone flying outward. Black feathered wings came out of Flandrake's back. He jumped off flying towards the West wall, already hearing the sound of retreat..... Today is a good day to die...

The inn was unusually busy whenNightbane returned. He was sure that their would be rebels amongst the crowd and just as sure that they would not openly advertise that they were part of the resistance. If they only knew..............

He took a seat at an empty table and lost himself in thought. The hustle and bustle of the people surrounding him were but faint murmers. He was at his wits end as to what he needed to do in order to take the human lord down. And now he just needed some time to think things over.Being wise is knowing that there is yet more to be learned.

"Sorry, the past haunts me," He sat down at the table, he sensed a person with power, much the same feeling he got from the race leaders...

Nightbane glanced back, he figured that this one was not a citizen who wanted to stay under the oppression of the human lord. With a low nod acknowledged him and then continued on with his thinking.
