OOC: It's been quite a while since I've actually set up a thread, I’ve spent a more of my time joining them rather than making them. Nevertheless, I want to have a go at it again! Therefore, I’m throwing this one into the pot! :). There’s only one other thing I can say about this thread, It's a loong read. But an interesting one (I’ve come up with a good, solid plot for it :D) . Read it, try it on for size and see if you want to take part in the story. Enjoy!:P

BIC:

It was dusk, just before they took Anita away from her. Little Fara was standing tiptoed on a wooden stool by the sink, vigorously scrubbing some dinner dishes with a rag, splashing soapy dishwater allover the kitchen floor that her older sister Anita had just finished moping up. Fara didn’t seem to notice her mess; she was too determined to finish her chores to worry about the puddle forming beneath her feet. After all, Anita had promised to teach her how to make a real spell scroll from scratch! But only if she had cleaned every plate and spoon before she returned home.

“The sooner you finish, the sooner we can start the fun!” Anita’s words echoed through Fara’s mind. Giggling with pure glee and excitement, she raced even faster with the plates.

“Soapy, scrubby, rinsey, stack! Soapy, scrubby, rinsey stack!” she hummed; working threw the dish load in that order. Foam collected on the rolled sleeves of her plum purple dress and stuck to her short wavy brown hair as she sped up. Grabbing the final dish and placing it atop the dish stack at the sink side she whirled around and stepped down from her stool triumphantly with her head held high.

“I did it- WHOA-WHOOPS!!!”
No sooner had she placed both feet on the floor, the gathered soap puddles that she had paid no mind to, took their revenge. Poor Fara spilled backwards and hit the wooden sink with a THUMP!! The pre-stacked dishes, that she struggled to complete, swayed from the edge of the sink for a brief second…then rained down across the wet floor shattering into hundreds white porcelain shards.

Fara stood up from the sink and began to jump up and down fretfully. Her hands were balled up tightly beneath her chin. “Oh no, oh no!” she stared hopelessly at the snowy remains of her sisters dinnerware. Anita had received this set from a druid friend who made each dish with her own two hands. Now the gift lay in ruins, all because Fara had rushed through her work without actually paying attention to the lake she created. Anita would punish her for sure; no scroll lessons, no charm making, no magic fun at all.

Fara stopped bouncing about and crouched down, delicately picking up a ceramic shard, inspecting it in her fingers. “Maybe, if I used some glue I could put these back together, like a puzzle!.” She thought intently; “It might work…but how am I going to find the pieces that fit?” Fara was lost in her thoughts until she heard a piercing scream from behind her. It was Anita.

“AUUUUUUUUHHH!”

Cringing, Fara dropped the shard from her hands. Knowing that she was in for the punishment of a lifetime, she slowly turned around to face her sister’s wrath.

It was not what Fara had pictured.

A gasp escaped her lips and her eyes grew wide with fear. Down beyond the open kitchen doorway across into the living room was her older sister Anita, struggling in the arms of two very large men. She had just returned from the wheat fields a short walk away from her cottage. It was then when she stepped inside the house that the mercenaries ambushed her, she managed to scream once before they grabbed her and roughly gagged her mouth. Now they worked to bind her hands and feet. A chair toppled, a vase crashed to the floor, furniture overturned in their struggle.

“Hurry up with that rope! Don’t let her hands loose or she’ll hex you.” The first man roughly jerked Anita’s arms behind her back, winding it up in rope. Thrashing her legs wildly, she managed to kick her second captor in the chest. “Dammed it! That hurt! Quit moving you wench” he angrily backhanded her face. Anita’s head snapped back and hung limply at her shoulder.

Fara shrieked, rushing towards her unconscious sister. Both men turned around. “What’s this here?” the second one laughed, swiftly grabbing Fara by her collar and lifting her from the floor. “A little speck come to stop us? Maybe I should put you out to dry. ”
“This is no time for games Garza.” The first mercenary snapped. “Forget the kid, we have strict orders for this woman, so lets get it over with.”
“…Right..” Garza grumbled, tossing the struggling little girl into a broken chair. “Lets go then.”

Fara screamed as she was flung halfway across the room. She landed with a wicked crunch, on top of a splintered woodpile. Something warm ran down the side of her face, everything began to look fuzzy. Fara cried out weakly after the men, who had already dragged Anita out the door and onto a cart that had been waiting outside. “Please don’t take my sister. She’s my… only family…” Her arm stretched out grasping towards them. But all she caught were shadows, and then total darkness.

----------

Fara’s eyes shot open “Anita!!” She gasped struggling to stand. An hour had passed while she was out cold. The sun had fully set and the sky was pitch black. Pulling herself from the heap of broken chairs, Fara crawled over to a clear spot on the floor. Dried blood streaked on her forehead, cuts and scrapes covered her soft face, the body and sleeves of her plum dress were torn and her legs donned black and blue marks here and there. She was hurt, but not badly.
“Don’t worry Anita.” she cried to herself as tears blurred her vision. “I’m coming! I’ll find you.”

Without thinking twice, she painfully staggered to her feet and limped outside of the house. The cart was long gone, but its tracks were paved into the ground. Only by Lunitari’s light could Fara barley see were they lead. She reached into a pocket on her dress and felt around, the item that she wanted was still intact. A single glass marble, the size of a thimble and as clear a lucid lake with dozens of tiny little air bubbles frozen inside of its glass. She pulled the marble from her pocket and held it out to the darkness.
“Illuminis” she whispered. Reacting to her words, the air bubbles inside the glass marble began to glow, flowing smoothly into a brilliant white light that grew, encircling its holder. Fara could see the tracks clearly now. They trailed onto the dirt road a few feet away from her house and towards the small idyllic town Lozlania, which was only a short distance away from her home.

“I’ll find someone who will help me.” She thought, following the tracks as fast as she could. Disappearing down the road and into the shadows of the night she chanted to herself over and over again. “Everything will be fine, Anita will be ok….Everything will be fine…. ”

Fara stared into the eyes of terror that night and wished with all her soul that she had never reached Lozlania. The nightmare that she saw before her had erased all hope of ever being reunited with her sister again. Crowds of frenzied, laughing people massed every on the streets and side roads, all pushing towards the center of the village were a long wooden stake could be seen jutting out from a large dirt mound, surrounded by dead tree branches and brushwood. All of it burning in searing blue flames! A scream of pure agony could be heard rising above the mocking laughter of the crowds.

It was Anita, rigidly bound to the burning log and set out for hideous display.

“Burn you retched creature burn!” They all cried in union.
“Renegade magic user!”
“Evil witch, your getting what you deserve!!”

The ocean of people pushed in closer, dragging Fara along helplessly. She stood in petrified silence, watching the horrible site. She wanted to yell out, to run to her sister and pull her away from the fire, but she could not. The shock was too much for her. At that moment the entire crowd seemed to disappear…the noise, everything. All except for her sister, who stared strait into Fara’s eyes amid the blazing fire. The flames clawed higher into the sky as if trying to tear at the surrounding darkness. Anita’s mouth hung open limply, her chest collapsed in on itself melting until her figure became distorted. Ashen tears flowed from Fara while she watched her sister slowly drip into a bubbling mass of malformed flesh. Heat from the fire scraped at the small girls skin, everything began to spin violently, the crowd swooshed back in, the noise, the smell of burning flesh, all of it came crashing down on her… and then she blacked out.

Scorching flames devoured what was left of Anita’s remains as smoke and soot floated into the air and over the pulsing crowd. Now the nightmare was complete. The only person that Fara had loved dearly was now gone, burnt-up in a single night, leaving nothing but shadows of death in the darkness.

-------

She awoke in the morning as an orphan, lying face down in the middle of the village square. No one seemed to care enough to move the poor child from the streets in her unconscious state. Fara edged away from her spot on the hard dirt floor and walked over to the site where her sister was murdered.

The town was calm now; the crowds were gone, everything had returned to normal as if yesterday had never happened. But Fara knew better. They were monsters…all of them! A village filled with appalling fiends that destroyed whatever they feared or could not understand. Anita had done nothing wrong to the people of Liziland and would never do anything to hurt anyone. She had always been friendly whenever she came to town, which was quite rare since Anita spent all of her time at home or in the woods. None of what happened had made sense to Fara. The only thing she could understand was that Anita, her only family, had died…and that she utterly hated the entire town of Liziland. Somehow, someday she would make them suffer a fate ten times worse than the one they had bestowed upon her sister.

Slowly she approached the steak. It tilted towards the ground, charred but still standing. Everything else including her sister had dissolved into cinders. Fara struggled up the dirt mound and knelt besides her sister’s ashes. “I’ll save you …” she wept, “I’ll take you home and bring you back somehow.” She grabbed handfuls of the ash and shoveled it into her dress pocket desperately scooping up whatever she could carry. Fara was too full of grief to think sensibly. Right now, she would do anything to be with the sister again.

“What are you doing here little girl? Didn’t I deal with you yesterday?”

Fara spun around towards the sudden voice. It was Garza, one of the two men who had ambushed Anita. She clutched her dress pocket, pushing herself backwards and away from the gruff mercenary. “Oh no you don’t.” he snorted “Lets see what I’ll be doing with you now little one! Heh-heh…want to join your sister??” Garza grabbed Fara’s leg dragging her from the mound. “No-let me go!!” she screeched kicking frantically at his arms. “Help! Help!”

From behind Garza came an ominous click, as the mercenary felt the sharp tip of a crossbow bolt jab him in the back of the neck briefly. The masked figure behined him was almost completely hidden behined a swirling cloak of a rich green, with an ornate gold trim. He wasn't really looking at the mercenary or the little girl though - he was staring at the charred stake atop the dirt mound, his hand-crossbow still pointing calmly at the somewhat suprised Garza.

A young woman clothed in a heavy dress of blue and silver brocade, and a heavy velvet cloak of deepest blue. Her long black hair fell over her right shoulder in one heavy plait. Her skin was pale, and her eyes where a deep blue.

"We're here to help." She said softly, her hand resting getnly on Fara's shoulder.

"My name is Ilianna....Yours is Fara right?" She asked softly, her gaze going to the masked man breifly, before returning to Fara.I'll be right there

Rogu stood in front of the town tavern. He was a tyring, one of few in Ansalon. Tyrings are a race which inhabit the world far across the seas of Krynn. Tyrings have ocean blue skin. Males had white hair, females had red hair. Other than color, they looked much like humans. They had exceptional strength and usually didnt need weapons in battle.

Rogu stood arms crossed. His blue, muscular, V shaped body told everyone in the town who he was. He was the taverns bouncer. White hair fell to his shoulders. All he wore were long, brown pants.

Rogu had watched the magic users burning at stake with sadness. He hated the death of innocents, and somehow he could tell the burning magic user was a good person.

That night he slept in a rocking chair in front of the inn. It was only until next morning when he noticed the girl lying on the ground in the streets of the town. He sighed in relief to see she was alive when she had risen and walked over to the stake.

Rogu rose from his chair when the guard approached the girl. Rogu walked onto the road, still keeping distance. The tyring flinched as a bolt struck the guard in the head. Two people approached the girl. One was a masked man who held a crossbow. The other was a young woman in a blue and silver dress.

Rogu decided not to interupt yet. The girl obviously knew the woman burned at stake last night, and the tyring decided to give her space and let these two deal with her for now. Rogu was never good at comforting anyways.

OOC:If you dont want a kender in your story just tell me, and ill move out.

BIC:He hated jail... especially small town jails where there were no other Kender to talk to and the cell locks were too easy to be fun. That's the reason he was forced to pick the lock and leave. He had been put in there under heavy guard for the night after a wealthy shopkeepers purse had somehow found its way into one of his pouches. But he didnt mind being locked in there last night anyway.
He had seen the stunned girl watching as they burned the woman alive, first of all, Tymarus hated to see people suffer unless they had done something wrong, like stealing. Second of all, the girl had been on the verge of collapsing when he had last seen her. He was on his way to talk to her when he was accosted by the town guard. Now he was walking down the street back towards the town square, wondering if anything was still going on.

Garza froze instantly the moment he felt cold steel jutting into the back of his neck. It was a familiar sensation that he had encountered many times before. Moreover, he knew exactly what to do in that particular type of situation……..

…. Absolutely nothing. Without making any foolish sudden moves, he released the little girls leg from his tight grip. She shuffled away from him hastily, still clutching the pocket that held Anita’s ashes. He could not see who held the bolt to his head but he got a quick glance at the woman Ilianna, who seemed to be comforting the little girl.
Fara stared at the masked man fearfully. She was still trembling with alarm from her encounter. He looked somewhat scary and she was not sure that she would be safe near him, even though he saved her life. Fara’s gaze then rested on Ilianna in wonder. How did that woman know who she was? She stared up at Ilianna with big brown eyes, red from hours of crying.

“* Sniff Sniff * How-how do you know my name?”

“Now wait just a darn minute….” Garza interrupted Fara, slowly raising both hands in the air as a sign of non-resistance.

“ I wasn’t going to hurt the girl, just give her a little scare that’s all. She’s a misfit, and the sister of an evil witch who’s been causin trouble in this town.”

A sweat drop rolled down the side of Garza’s face.

“Now that she ain’t got no family, she has to be put in the local orphanage, and that’s were I was gonna take her. Lest she left to die here on the streets.”

“No-no he’s lying!” Fara protested, pointing accusingly at Garza. “He took my sister away from me, she was a good person, and she never did bad things, only good. He wants to hurt me like they hurt Anita. Don’t let him take me!!” She clung desperately to hem of Ilianna’s blue dress, as more tears rolled down her sullied face.

As Tymarus entered the town square he saw a man with a crossbow to a guards head. A woman was comforting the young girl and there was a very large blue man down the road opposite him... A BLUE man? "I've seen stranger things" Thought Ty.

He walked up to the group around the funeral pyre, reminding himself to speak to the big blue man. "Hi, I'm Tymarus Nimblefingers, whats going on?"

The masked man seemed to have to wrench his eyes away from the charred stake, but once he had managed to he stared down at Garza. Then he glanced over at Ilianna, thinking a moment before making a series of curious and quite fast movements with his free hand.

He jabbed Garza in the neck again slightly, then motioned for him to stand up - stepping back as he did so and keeping the hand-bow trained on the mercenary.

Ilianna smiled warmly at the girl. "I knew your sister, Anita....we where collegues of sorts..." She said softly, her voice was warm, but her eyes where chips of ice that glinted with cold anger at Garza.

Her glance shifted, and she read her companion's motions clearly. She turned her head and noted the kender and blue-skinned man immediatly.

"I am the child's God-mother....I will take her from here...." She said, the ice creaping into her voice. She made a sharp motion to the masked man, and looked towards the man once more.

"I trust that all is well now? I don't want any complications with the guards." She said, in her hand was a purse made of silver cloth. It was then that it was realized how well dressed Ilianna was, how quite obvious her station.

Rogu walked up to the little girl.

" Are you okay little one? Who was this woman that you knew?" Rogu asked looking at the stake, then the girl again.

" By the way, Im Rogu. Do not let my appearence startle you. I am a tyring, a race originating across the seas. I've only lived here for a couple of month, but i'll tell you right now, that man means no good!" Rogu said, pointing and giving a threatening glance to the guard, Garza.

Rogu's face became friendly again as he turned to Fara. The tyring knelt down and took the girls hands in his.

" If there is anything i can do for you, let me know." Rogu said in a gentle voice. He then turned to Ilianna and the masked man.

" I have not seen such kind-hearted people in this town since my arrival. I thank you for helping this girl. It brings hope to my heart, hope that this town can be kind again. May i know your names?" Rogu asked in his gentle voice.

Ty looked from the guard, to the siblings, to the little girl, to the big blue man. He went over and kicked the guard hard in the shin with as much of an angry expression a kender could manage. "You should be nicer to little girls! And the locks on your jail are TERRIBLE."

Ty decided he had done his part in the scolding of the guard and decided to ask the big blue man... He said his name was Rugu? Rugo?, no, Rogu thats it, Rogu, how he got to Ansalon.

A cluster of people began to gather around the mound were the confrontation was taking place. They stood a fair distance away from the group and watched with curiosity, whispering thoughts and questions back and forth amongst themselves.

“What’s going on?”
“Hey isn’t that Garza?”
“What’s that man doing with that crossbow?”
“Oh no! A kender! Watch your pouches!”

Garza slowly staggered to his feet keeping his hands raised and open as the masked man jutted the bolt deeper into his neck.
Garza glared at Ilianna and Rogu with contempt. He detested the thought of being ordered around like some feeble peasant by a mere woman and some odd blue man, all because a stealthy fellow was holding a crossbow to his neck. And to top it off a kender that he didnt even notice nearly cracked his knees in two. Garza held in his anger, swearing to himself that he would get his hands on that pathetic little kender and bend him seven ways.

The day was obviously not turning in his favor; he would have to let these strangers have their way. Besides, he was paid to deal with Anita only. Therefore, he had no obligation to pursue Fara any longer. Though he would have really enjoyed putting the little one out to pasture to see how long it would take before she kicked the bucket. Now it was a matter of his life, and Garza valued himself more than anything else.

“Have it your way then.” Garza grumbled at Ilianna. “ It’s not my duty to help little orphaned children. Just trying to be a good citizen, is all. If you really are her godmother like you say and can watch after this one, well then she’s all yours! But know this. I answer to a higher authority, the head-villagers daughter Merrill. She given me orders before and if she had ordered me to take this child in, then god mother or queen of the fairies you’d have to face up to to her to get the kid. And you would'nt be doin what your doin now!”

Garza turned slightly glowering at Rogu. Then towards Fara, who still clung tightly to Ilianna, giving her a “-your-damn-lucky-that-these-folks-came-along-otherwise-you’de-be-ratfood.“ look.

Garza faced Ilianna again. “Now that everything settled, and you have Furu–whatever her name is. I’d thank you to tell this masked man to stop pointing that thing at me and let me be on my way.” Garza spoke haughtily. “I do have a life of my own, and I’d like to be getting back to it alive.”

Rogu looked at the kender and answered his question.

" Me and my family of twenty sailed across the sea to Ansalon. We each seperated and travelled to different cities. Who are you little one? Better yet, what are you?" Rogu asked with interest. He had not seen a child with so many possessions in his pouches.

Rogu could not let this man go without some interogation. He grabbed Garza by the collar and yanked him forward.

" This girl said you came for her sister! Why did you?! What did she do?! I'll break your neck in a heartbeat if you look at me that way again! Answer me!" Rogu shouted in the mans face, refusing to let him go without an explanation.

Tyrings had odd tempers. They could be as happy as can be one minute, then a raving maniac the next. If your expecting a kick in the balls and you get a slap in the face, its a victory!

OOC: Mind if i join in?? Oh and Leandra, i think you done a great job on those opening posts....i really like them.

IC: He sat idley on the side wall next to the well, humming a slight, soft tune....the lullaby his mother would sing to him when little....his liquid blue eyes were fixed on the girl...and the oddly assorted group that was rapidly forming. He chuckled slightly. The poor girl, they had burned her sister....a tear welled in his eye. He knew the pain of loss all to well in his so far short life.

At seventeen he was a tad on the small side. A thick mass of platinum blonde curls fell to his shoulders....the sun casting silvery highlights on it. His face was innocent, yet still handsome in a boyish charm sort of way. Adyn slipped off the wall...ignoring the old crone that cut a sharp tounge his way for knocking over his washing basket.

He stood some distance from them still, not wanting to draw too much attention. Sighing, Adyn ran his gloved hands through his hair, the wind stirred it as he let go, the breeze brushing it gingerly. A small ornate dagger was sheathed at his waist.....he was never really proficient at using it when fighting....he had never the need....but it had other, more potent uses for him.

Adyn pulled his right hand glove, only half way, to itch his palm....his hand shone a soft ruby....darker whorls of red swimming across the skins surface....he pulled it back up quickly....and returned to watching the group with interest.

In the bones of the earth does my mind lie secure,
And in the pit of fire....my passion burns forever.

Karina narrowed her eyes. The only thing that made her more pissed off then white robes was burning mages. Even Solinari's brethren needed to not be burned.

Standing on a cliff, she watched the blueskinned Tyring move over to the crying girl. NOt have a clue what was going on, she polymorphed into her bird form.

A black hawk, with grey pupils in her eyes, instead of the burning gold. She dived into the fray, and swooped next to the Tyring. both of them didnt bother to look at the bird, but a wooshing noise and a rustling of robes sent them both on edge

"Who are you?" The tyring demanded. "What do you want with Fara?!"

She looked at him and smirked beneath her hood. "Calm yourself, Tyring, i mean no harm. Few things piss me off as much a killing a mage, even those of Solinari. Only I can do that.

Garza stumbled forward, nearly loosing his footing as Rogu violently grabbed him by his shirt collar and jerked him forward.

“Whoa–whoa there!” he blubbered anxiously, attempting to pull away.
“Its no secret as to what this little squeaks sister was doing! The whole town knew about her practicing’s with witchcraft and wicked magic. She wasn’t even a bona fide follower of the robes. For the past few weeks she was stirring up nuisances and serious problems.!” Garza struggled to stand straight in Rogu’s firm grip; his voice became steadied.

“ Haven’t you’ve been here long enough to see what’s gone on in this village blue man?” he whispered, titling his head and staring Rogu strait in the eyes. A daring move for Garza, considering the position that he was in.

“Six building mysteriously collapsed a while back…” He continued. “ All in the same manner, crushing ever poor sap who had happened to within a few feet; and they were good, sturdy homes! Built by the best of us! The families who lived around those same houses all came down with a terrible sickness! Like none I’ve ever seen before! Their bodies dried up and crumbled to pieces! I thank Mishakel that it was only that one block, and not the whole town!” he swallowed. Garza’s tone changed, sounding serious and nervous.

“And for lots of our farmers the crops have been turning out bad in the fields near-by! Many villages said they seen Anita by those areas during the early morning, tracing symbols in the air with her fingers and chanting something in a tongue that no ones even heard before! “

My love, this rose we nurture is a window of our time.

Stop it! Stop it you liar!” Fara shrieked hysterically in a sudden outburst. “You know that’s not true! Your making it all up!! You hated my sister; you and everyone else wanted to kill her because you hated her! You’re a mons-

“I speak the truth!!” Garza roared twisting from Rogu grasp with all the strength.

He broke free and rapidly backed away from the group. Stunned by his actions Ilianna immediately picked up Fara and cradled her away, fearing that Garza would lash out at the poor child. Garza’ face flushed with certainty and anger.

“I’m not making any of this up.” His hands balled into fists. “ Ask the townsfolk! Ask the village-head!”
He turned, glaring at Rogu. “You want to know why I took her sister blue man?” Garza snarled.

“It was Merrill, she gave me the command to take that witch in! There was no stopping it either! The whole town wanted to see her burn! And they got their wish. I was just following orders. But I’ll tell you one thing.” Garza smiled cruelly, backing away a few more steps. “ I would have burnt her myself if Merrill hadn’t planned it. Yes, we all hated her little one. “ He sniggered at Fara. “Because of that voodoo she was weaving over our town. Though I believe no one hated her has much as Merrill did. And they used to be friends, the two of them. But that was then when times were simple and Anita didn’t practice witchery. Now she’s paid for her deeds in full and this village wont be bothered by her sort of trouble again.”

Garza kept moving until he bumped into the mass of people who had collected near the mound, their numbers had increased as the time passed.

“If your smart, you wont cause any trouble here either.” Without looking back, Garza turned and briskly cut through the crowd, heading down the street and towards the town official’s house.

Adyn was intrigued by the new arrival....another mage...thats all they needed...this one didn't seem to be of the good variety either. He checked under both his gloves, satisfied they were both fully charged....just incase things turned nasty.

OOC: Ok, just a brief descrip on Adyn. I'm bored what can i say, hehe. Well, he uses a form of blood magicks. Basically to use his magick me has to cut his palm to release his blood, which releases the magic. When cut, he can shape the magick to his will...however he is still young in his power and can't do much. But his basic and most raw forms of power are his Wi'tch Fire and Coldfire. the wi'tch fire comes from his right hand, basically it is an really hot fire, i think it wouyld possibly match that of dragon fire if he gave it enough juice. Coldfire is again fire, but blue, and instead of buring, it freezes everything it touches to solid ice....handy ain't it? His power does have a draw back, it runs out, he can tell if the ruby glow on his hands is weak, or vanished. To renew his power, he must hold his right hand to the sun....it will vanish, leaving him with a stump, but once he brings it down, the hand will appear again, bring with the ruby glow.

However, he has to renew his left hand, the one with coldfire, in moonlight.

Now, as powerful as each of these is, he has another, more potent magick. He can fuse the wi'tch fire and coldfire together, to create Stormfire....think BOOM! Alot of lightning, savage fire and shredding winds. hehe. but this can sometimes be uncontrollable as he is new to it, so he tries not to use it.

Ok, so much for a brief descrip. but i was bored, lol.

Under the ocean does my heart swim free,
In the bones of the earth does my mind lie secure,
And in the pit of fire....my passion burns forever.

-And I'm sorry i you'r bored, I was hoping the thread woud pick up. Karina growled at the man called Garza, the one who had killed that mage, who she had also learned name was Anita. Pulling into the crowd, she polymorphed into her bird form and followed this man. This man was going to die.

" Fara. I do not believe your sister was the cause of those past occurences. I knew her. She stopped by the tavern once and a while. She would never to a thing like knock down peoples homes. Something tells me this woman Merrill knows the REAL answers. Can you tell me anything about her Fara? Can you take us to her? If that sounds like a good plan to everyone else that is." The masked figure looked at Rogu and glowered, then he made another complex set of hand-gestures to Ilianna and headed towards an exit from the town - noting the boy in that direction who seemed to be preoccupied with his own glove-clad hand. He glanced down at Fara, his motions gentler now as he indicated for her to walk with him, traslating his strange hand-language was obviously Ilianna's job."Ah, they have a cave troll....."

IC: The nimble-footed, short-statured girl darted quickly through the crowd of people. She smiled slyly as her small, delicate hands dipped in and out of the pockets of the medium sized crowd that had gathered around the pyre. Giggling playfully to herself, she enjoyed the thrill of removing personal posessions from the "big people", and stopped only once when she noticed another small person among the crowd. She laughed and slipped her newest trinket into the large pocket of her drab-colored smock, and meandered closer to Ty, watching him for a moment or two. She ran up to him and slapped him on the back, shouting "Tag, you're it!" in her child-like voice. Giggling all the way, she darted in and out through the crowd, her wavy, bright red hair bouncing after her.

BIC: The flaming-haired kender smiled brightly at Ty and nodded, biting her tongue as she dug deep into her pockets. She pulled out a small piece of green glass and held it up toward him. "Emerald! Top of the line, absolutely gorgeous."

She let it glint in the light for a moment before digging once more into her deep pockets yet again and pulling out a rough-hewn spoon, possibly pewter, possibly something else, yet it was very difficult to tell because of the wear and tear that it had been through. Putting a look of pride on her face she held it up high, and spoke confidently. "Spoon! Top of the line, eh? Looks a bit dirty..." She rubbed it on her smock and held it up again. "But it's great, doncha think? I mean, c'mon now. I loves it! Got it from me uncly, who got it from a traveler, who got it from an elf. I promise!" She crosses her heart and nod solemenly.

She immediately moved on, looking at him eagerly before adding... "Whaddaya got, huh, huh?" She grinned broadly before sitting down on the ground and taking more objects out of her pockets, things like nuts and different pieces of metal, as well as scraps of pretty fabric and even a broken watch or two.

Almost as an afterthought, she looked up at him and added "Oh, yeah. I'm Crimson Riverstomp. How doya do?"~Shade and sweet water~

OOC: Sea Elf, there are villains in this story, and their quite obvious too. However, it wouldn’t matter if I didn’t include villains. Not all stories have baddies in them. It really depends on the DM *Points to self *.

:)Since you are a novice around these forums and you do not quite have the hang of things yet, I will be the first give you a little information on forum conduct.

When you join a thread, you have to run with it. The story that the Dm creates is their own; they choose how their characters act’s, look’s and talk’s. When you join the DM’s thread you cant, decide what roles their characters play in the story for them. That is their decision, regardless of what you may think.

This also applies when you decided to “hint” to others who have also joined the story (on their characters) unless they ask for suggestions. Maugetar is right; they have their characters actions already planned. Just as I have my story planned. Try to remember this when you join other threads. :)

And Crimson Riverstorm, your also a novice, so I'll give you a little run down as well. When you join a thread, it is ok to introduce your character. However, when you leave the storyline and go off on your own little spree, your not running with the story. What your doing is making your own, in the world that the DM has created.

And from what I’ve read of your posts, it doesn’t really look like you’ve taken the time to read the opening posts that I have set up for this thread. You have totally ignored the storyline and have gone off on your own thing. You have to be part of the story, not just wander around in it. There is no room for that here. It ruins the thread for the DM and for everyone else who has joined. If you want your character to roam around free and merrily without a care in the world, then there are, other posts in the DL RPG forum that you can join which have proper environments for this type of RPG’ing. So, when you go out and join others people threads, remember that you will have to shape your character and their actions to the mood and setting of the story, not your own. :)

Oh! and one more thing. I can take one kender, but two is just too annoying, especially for this type of story. Try to pick the proper character to fit the story in a proper manner. ;)

Fara clasped her dress pocket, cradling it in her hands. “ I need to get home so I can bring Anita back.” She smiled weakly. “Anita has lots of magic books and things in her room, she used it to bring back a blue jay that died in our yard…..I can use it to bring her back, I'm sure it'll work! But I cant read the spells alone; some of the words are too hard. I need help reading them.”

Fara stared up at Rogu, a look of sadness had over come her face, but a gleam of hope lit the edges of her eyes. “ You can help me right?”

Fara looked up at the blushing man. There seemed to be only a select few people in Lozilania who did not take part in her sisters burning. She stepped towards him tilting her head upwards, since she was so little and he so tall. She grabbed his shirtsleeve and tugging on it, noticing the two leather gloves that he wore on his hands.

“It’s good that there are some nice people in this mean town.” She spoke softly, wiping her tattered plum sleeve across her nose.

“My name is Fara. If you still want to help my sister now, you’ll help me bring her back.” Fara turned around towards the others pointing each person out.

“That big blue man over there is Rogu, and this is my god mother Ilianna. “She pointed to her.” I’ve never really met her before but she says she is my godmother. Anita told me that if something ever happened to her she would have someone watch after me, but she never told me who. She must have been talking about Ilianna.” Fara paused and looked around quickly.

“There was a scary masked guy around here but he just left…. the kender’s gone too. “ She turned back to him. “ Were all going back to my home. Its just a while away” Fara began to tug on the mans sleeves, attempting to drag him towards the exit down the street from the town square. “Come one!” She spoke eagerly.

Ilianna smiled gently, and followed Fara, she looked around and noted that Indeed Vhoten had gone on without them...scouting ahead.

She pulled somthing small from a hidden pocket in the folds of her dress, a small Silver cast Hawk. She murmered something softly....and tossed the little silver figurine into the air. It flashed a bright silver in the sunlight, then a silver light burst, and a real hawk flew above her. It circled once then landed on her outstretched arm.

She offered it a small tidbit from a pouch at her waist, which it took eagerly. "find Vohten...." She said, and raised her arm sharply. The Hawk Screeched and circled once and followed the trail out of the town.

OOC: Ummm Princess, Garza is still in town. He’s traveling towards the Head-villagers home.
----------------------------------------------------

IC:
------------------------------------------------
A while away from the town square.
------------------------------------------------

Garza stumbled down the road, walking at a hurried, anxious pace. The village-heads house was now just a block away; once he reached it, he would immediately go to Merrill and explain his situation. The people who were aiding Fara were just too suspicious for his liking. Merrill would soon deal with them.

Garza stepped up to the entrance nodding at the two guards who stood by the door. They were, of course, familiar with him since he was Merrill’s trusted aide. Garza opened the door and stepped inside; the house was simple, but a little more extravagant than the other houses in the village. A long hallway led strait down to the village-heads office. Tapestries hung here and there for show; the floorboards were polished to a bright wooden shine, and beams of light streamed in from the many windows that covered the ceiling above, giving the floor an extra glow.

Garza stepped down the hallway reaching the office. Two more guards were positioned near the door, which was opened a crack. Something was different though, both guards had a grim look clouding their faces as the stood rigidly in place. Garza stepped up and nodded at them, his greeting was not returned and neither guard moved from his spot. Frowning Garza opened his mouth to speak, but stopped, he could hear voices from behind the door. He stood still, puzzled and listened intently. One of the voices was Merrill, she sounded angry and distressed at the same time, her tone had raised to a high squeak. The other voice was unrecognizable to him. It was of course a woman’s voice and it sounded sharp and authoritive.

“I did what I felt was right, my actions are justified!” Merrill spoke waveringly.

“And what makes you think that killing someone in that manner is a justifiable act? You had absolutely no authority to do what you did!” the voice shot back.

“I have plenty of authority, I am to be the leader of this village when my father steps down, he has given me the right to make desi-“

“You have no idea what you’ve done. You fool! Your incompetent actions will cost your dearly. I will see to it personally!”

“I wont be spoken too in such a manner” Merrill choked. “ You may have magic pouring out of your ears, but if you lay a finger on me, I have people in high places who will hunt you down. You’ll have more trouble on your back than you can handle! I’m not as weak or vulnerable as I seem. You will give me the respect that I am due!”

Aggravated, the voice sighed. “Like I said Merrill, you’re a dense fool who thinks that she can do whatever she pleases. You’re not fit to take charge of this village, and you couldn’t do anything right if your life depended on it. Your judgment is just as cloudy as your fathers. Mark my words Merrill, I will retune for you and the rest of the villagers who took part in your town barbeque. I will be seeing again, sooner than you dare to think.

Immediately after the voices stopped the guards urgently stepped away from the door and stood nervously at the side, a figure burst through the entrance just seconds after they had moved. Surprised, Garza stumbled backwards, hitting the wall. Garza could now see the woman who had been troubling Merrill. He watched as she stormed down the hallway.

Her brown hair was plaited and pulled up into a braided bun which was surrounded by a string a beads to keep it in place atop of her head. She had no bangs, and her hairline was set into a tight V shape. Her skin was bronzed and her eyes were pitch black. She wore a long soft leather brown skirt and a tight leather tunic top with long sleeves. A dark umber cape with a hood rested around her shoulders, pinned together at the front with a steel clasp that held a single onyx stone. She wore a small pair of studded steel earnings, which also cradled an onyx stone. On her feet, she wore a pair of laced deerskin boots. She had no visible weapons at her side, but she had thin-chained belt that carried a scroll case and a stiff square purse.

The woman reached the end of the corridor and stepped outside, knocking over both guards by the entrance and continuing on her way as if they weren’t even there. Garza collected his senses and hurried into the office were Merrill was. She stood by her fathers desk, her face red with anger, almost as red as the strands of her long strait hair which fell down to her shoulders, she quietly brushed away the wrinkles from her pale blue dress and tucked the loose strands of her hair into place.

“My god Merrill, are you ok? What just happened here?” Garza leaned in over the desk.

“Nothing, just another annoyance that I had to deal with.” She spoke nervously. “I confront a lot of those in my position.”

“That woman does not look like a mere annoyance to me, who is she?”

Merrill seated herself, breathing deeply. “Her name is Neerya, she has a relation of some sort to Anita. Don’t worry I have the situation with her under control.”

“Is she a witch like Anita?” Garza questioned

“She calls herself a sorceress, but if you ask me there’s no real difference between the two. “

“A sorceress? What in the abyss does she want with you? “

“My head on a platter, that’s what!” Merrill shivered.” But that is another matter; we have other things to worry about now. How is the search going?”

“Ah yes.” Garza brightened. “The group of men that you’ve sent are already at Anita’s house, they’ve been there since this morning. I have yet to receive word from them yet, but I’m sure that they will find what you are looking for soon enough.”

Merrill groaned. “They better have. The sooner they find that blasted item the better. I’m certain that once we have it, the well-being of our town will be ensured.”

“Excuse me Merrill, but I came here to inform you of other news.” Garza spoke up.

“Well then, what is it?” she sighed.

“We have a group of people on our tail concerning Anita as well, they all seem to know her in some way or another. I think that they might try to dig deeper into this matter.”

“More nuances! Oh don’t worry, I have some backing that will guarantee that they won’t be a bother. If that is all Garza then you may leave.”

“Yes Merrill. “ Garza bowed then turned to exit.

“Oh Garza!” Merrill called after him. “One more thing.”

“Yes?”

“I relive you of your duties concerning this matter, you don’t need to bother yourself with it anymore. You’ll be given a reward as thanks for your services. You may go now.”

“Thank you Merrill.” Garza grinned and bowed once more. He left the room and headed to the nearest tavern to relax.

When Garza had gone Merrill shut the doors to her fathers office and slouched back into his chair. She clasped her hands beneath her chin, thinking intently. “The sooner they find that item the sooner it will ensure my well- being…

Just outside of Lozlania

Fara shuffled down the dirt road at a slow pace, she clasped Iliannas hand on one side and the gloved man in the other. Rogu trailed behind only a foot or so away.

The tracks made from the cart the night before were, of course, still visible. Fara sighed sadly, biting her lower lip and forcing back her tears. She had done enough crying, now she had to be strong. She had found help, or more so, help had found her. She would have to trust these strangers, for she had no one else that she knew to turn too. Fara glanced at Ilianna, then Rogu, and then the gloved man with the silver platinum hair.

“Oh dear..” she just realized to herself “ I don’t know his name.”
“Excuse me…” she tugged at his hand. “ But you didn’t tell me your name, or where you’re from.”

OOC: Your doing outstanding Leandra.

IC: Rogu walked down the path, not too far behind the three. Something didnt feel right. The way the village talked about Anita made Rogu eager (and at the same time nervous) to enter the home.

The tyring wondered what he would find. Rumors in the village spread quickly. The barkeep said Anita keeps giant horned animals in large cages and feeds them babies. Many, like the tailor, say she has evil potions inside that can turn a man insane.

Rogu didnt let it get to him too much. He knew he could trust Fara and Ilianna. Rogu, like Fara, was curious about the man with the gloved hand. The tavern bouncer had seen him in town many a time. He even stopped at the tavern once and a while. However, Rogu never got the chance to speak with him.

He blushed a little, he hadn;t expected the girl to take to him like this, but none the less, he smiled at her. "My apologies, I am Adyn... Adyn Winterfell...", he glanced to small hand in his own gloved one. Soo small, innocent...his own had washed away in a tide of fire and ice.....and something more....if he had a part in it, Fara would not lose hers.

Vhoten held his arm out straight and the hawk landed silently on it, it claws clicking faintly against the gauntlet that lay under his sleeve as it made itself comfortable. The masked man stood watching the house through the trees, not missing the figures who moved inside it. He waved a hand across the hawk's eyes and sent it back to Ilianna. Then he turned to leave, heading back towards the group who were travelling down the road, as he walked through the forest he glanced behined him, then turned around and pulled the light crossbow out from beneath his cloak - the men were obviously searching for something. Vhoten had a feeling that he didn't want them to get it, and his feelings had a habit of proving themselves right."Ah, they have a cave troll....."

The hawk flew high, and landed on Illianna's arm, it screeched once, and rose back up into the air. A wing-beat later, it was once again the silver figurine, and it landed in Ilianna's palm.

"Get Fara out of here...We cannot go to the house....I will go ahead...Vohten says that there are men at the house....they seem to be searching for something....Get going!" She cried, and ran down the trail, blue cloak flyiing out behind her.

" They already took the girls sister from her! What could they possibly want?" Rogu roared in anger.

" I'll stay here and watch over Fara. Give a whistle if you need my help." Rogu shouted to the running Ilianna.

Rogu now stood with Adyn and Fara. He looked around the trees and grew worried at the sight of three figures running towards them from the direction of the village.

" Your not supposed to leave the village today! Orders from Merill!" one of the men shouted at Rogu. He was an officer and held a short sword in one hand.

" Didnt mean any trouble. Just taking my neice out for a walk. Theres not enough things to do for a kid inside those damn walls." Rogu said, pointing back to the village, some distance away now.

" Yeah, yeah. Tell it to the judge. You three are coming with us. Tie up the big blue one and the other man. The girl will come willingly, wont you?" the head officer asked Fara kneeling down to face her. The officer suddenly grabbed her wrist and wrenched her away from Rogu.

Rogu grew furious.
" Dont you dare touch her!" Rogu shouted. The tyring wacked the man in the face with the back of his hand. The officer flew to the floor in great pain.

" Kill them! Except the girl, I want her alive." The head officer ordered as he rose, rubbing his sore face. He drew his sword, as did the other two officers.

" One of you kill the quiet man. The other, capture the girl. I'll get the blue bastard!" The head officer shouted as he charged towards Rogu, sword raised.

Rogu grabbed the officers wrist as he brought the sword down. The blue tyring then twisted the mans wrist, making him screech in pain. The officer dropped the sword and was flung to the floor by the enormous bouncer.

" The blue bastard is very, very angry." Rogu said with an evil grin. He lifted the man from the dirt path and lifted the officer above his head. Rogu then ran up to the tree-line and threw him violently into the trunk of a large pine tree. The officers back must have snapped, since he did not recover.

Adyn pulled Fara behing him, and pulled off his left glove...the ruby glow brightend....his blood sang for release...telling him to relent. A soft blue luminecense coursed over his skin, mingling with the ruby. He slipped the dagger out...the officer facing him was wearing a puzzled expression...one at the hand, and two at the ornate dagger, surely the lad didn't think it would stand a chance in a fight?

The blade of the dagger dug deep into his left palm as he sliced across it. Blood welled, screaming in his mind for release......Adyn rose his palm to the officer. Fire exploded forth.....blue flames licked the air, his breath grew misty. The blue fire....Coldfire....slammed into the man, the force of it stopping him in his tracks and sent him reeling through the air to collide with a tree.

Ice incased the officer, and half the tree. A solid block, hard as stone trapping the now dead man within. He pulled back the magicks, fighting against the voices.....they always wanted more....

This building hurt her talons. It was rough, like vallenwood bark, but very sharp. she looked at the bottoms of her talons, and they were bloody. She watched Garza run into the building, and took over into flight, to dive into and upper-story window so she could hear better.

Nonsence, Karina thought to herself, no one gets burned at the stake just damn hang them. Despite the fact that girl is innocent, she still dies.

She changed into her human form and walked down the stepps. Sighing, she realized how poor her vision was now.

"Excuse me, both of you. But that girl, Anita, was innocent, just as i am," She sneered, "For the moment. As for you, this fat stupid biased pig DOES desesrve some respect. Unfortunaly."

Neither of them answered, as they were damned shocked.

OOC: Umm princess, the last post you put is a bit confusing. There was no room made for anyone to come in during Merrill’s argument with Neerya, or her talk with Garza. Maybe if you placed your character to enter the building after Garza had left, your response would make a better fit.

-Lets see, three guards…Hmm Rogu took one, Adyn took the other so that leaves…:D
--------------------------------------
IC:

Fara had almost no idea of what was happening around her, everything occurred in such a flash. She huddled behind Adyn, shivering from both fear and cold. She could feel the chill left from the cold fire that exploded from Adyn's hand. Wisps of cold white mist twisted and clung in the air, as if it did not want to leave.

Fara let out a sigh of relief. Rogu was safe and in tact, standing next to the corpse of a guard that he had just dealt with. The fire that Adyn released looked as if it wanted to engulf the entire clearing. Fara had feared that it took Rogu with it.

Just ahead, she could see the other guard, the one that the fire had claimed for itself. He had become encased in tomb of glassy ice. The force from the blast even swallowed up half of a grand oak tree along with him. Fara was amazed, and afraid. She stared at the dead guard and then at Adyn's hand. It was cut and bleeding. “Adyn you’re hurt!” She gasped. Tearing off a piece of her frayed dress, she wrapped it around his sliced palm.

Meanwhile the last guard who had gone unnoticed decided to take this opportunity to escape with his life.

“Witches flame and a blue demon! Forget the silent man I’m going back to Merrill!” He thought, dashing into the forest.

His sprint lasted only a few fleeting seconds, ending suddenly as he blindly crashed head first into a figure that had unknowingly been in his path. He tumbled to the ground as the figure staggered backwards a step. The guard looked up angrily, noticing that he had run into a woman.

“Watch the heck were your going girl or I’ll—Auaahhh!”

Without much hesitation, the woman brought a thick tree branch down on the guard’s head, knocking him out cold. She dropped the branch and grabbed his leg, dragging him behind her and out of the forest to the open path were his other two companions had met their demise. She emerged from the trees and left his body on the road, cradling her other limb with her right arm. It appeared to be sprained, possibly due to her run in with the guard.

The scene that she saw before her was an interestingly curious one. There were two men, one of them blue, and a small girl; along with two other corpses. One was stuck in a slab of ice.

“ Forgive me for meddling in your affairs...” Neerya stepped forward slowly, staring at both of the dead guards, especially the body incased in ice.

“But what happened here? “

"We were attacked as you can see.....they wanted the girl...."

"Yes I can see that there was, of course, a scuffle with these men….they’re the town-heads guards too….Merrill’s.” Neerya spoke, taking a quick glance around. “But what captured my attention was that fellow trapped in ice by a tree over there.” She motioned towards the guard frozen alongside an oak. “I’ve never quite seen anything like it before.”

“Adyn did that!” Fara cut in.

“Who did what dear?” Neerya bent down towards Fara curiously, she still clutched her left arm.

“Adyn!” she spoke proudly, hugging his legs. “He can shoot ice out at people, but it hurts him; and Rogu.“ She pointed towards the blue tyring.
“Is stronger than a minatour! He broke that mean guard in half with his bare hands.” A grin broke across of the little girls face. “They’re both my best friends!”

Neerya smiled broadly. “Well that’s wonderful to hear dear, and what’s your name? Mine is Neerya.”

“I’m Fara.” She beamed “Its nice to meet you Neerya.”

“Its nice to meet you too Fara." Neeyra gently patted Fara's shoulder. She stood up and turned back to Adyn.

“That spell is interesting; it looks very powerful. The town guards must have been no problem for you to handle… though I don’t see why Merrill would waste her time sending sentries to fetch this little girl. She has other tasks to waste them on."

"So Fara can take care of herself, now i see." Said Karina as she emerged from behind Neerya. "She is well protected by Adyn and Rogu. So, neither of you would care if i stepped in, would you?" Neerya chuckled at the small girls comment. “That’s cute! At least she knows how to express herself…and as for me, I must be on my way.”

She turned to Adyn. “Thank you for quenching my curiosity concerning that frozen fellow. As any, I bid you goodbye, and keep an eye out for more of Merrill’s guards. She’ll most likely send more after you, being the persistent hardhead that she is.” Neerya bent down again, towards Fara.

“Goodbye cutie. Make sure to stay close to the adults.”

“Always!” Fara nodded solemnly. “Bye Neerya.”

Standing to her feet, Neerya turned towards Karina giving her a quick annoyed glance.

“It would be best if you didn’t waste your time following me bird lady. You wouldn’t want to be mistaken as a meal for a larger creature such as a griffon, or a dragon...or a hunter. So long!”

Back in Lozalania Merrill was receiving word of her exploits concerning the search around Anita’s home. Garza would have reported the information to her personally if he had not been temporarily relieved of his duty. Instead, she had Garza’s previous accomplice, Duran, report to her.

“What news of our search?” Merrill asked curiously, staring at the window from her seat by her father’s desk. “Please tell me that it is good.”

Duran folded his arms and frowned. “It is not going well, considering the events that the scouts have witnessed.”

“Events?” Merrill turned slightly, tugging a strand of her red hair impatiently. “What sort of events Duran?”

“The group that you sent to retrieve the coffer…they’re being picked off like flies by some cloaked ranger…….and we no idea of what his motives are.”

"A ranger from out of nowhere is killing our guards and you don’t know why?” she hissed, clenching her teeth.

Duran grimaced and took a step forward. “Unfortunately that just happens to be the case.”

Merrill closed her eyes, attempting to relax the anxiety that was building within her. All those weeks of planning and scheming would be tangled and torn like a broken spider web. All because of one ranger who decided to interfere. She could not allow this to happen, she would not! She depended upon the recovery of that coffer. Merrill opened her eyes and moved away from the window; looking straight into Duran’s. Her voice was soft yet steady.

”Is that so… I am beginning to worry Duran, and that is never a good thing. I need you to round up more guards, about thirty or so, have them armed to the teeth and send them immediately. I want that ranger dead and done with and that coffer in by tonight at the latest!”

“As you wish lady, but there is also the matter of the other guards which you sent after that traveling group with the child. ”

“Let me guess.” Merrill groaned. ”My men are no more, and that small gaggle of heroes are still on their way?”

“Yes ma’am. How would you have me deal with them?”

A frown stretched across her smooth pale face. ” They just couldn’t mind their on business could they?!” She mumbled. “ Let them be…let them travel to Anita’s home. When they arrive the guards will be waiting to take their lives.”

“We best take heed.” He warned. “ They are a dangerous bunch. One of our guards was found locked in a tomb of ice. There is a magic user amongst them, how will we fight that?

A dab of confidence simmered within Merrill. “The men I sent should be enough to dispose of them, if not then I’ll start pulling strings. I know of people, who can deal with situations like these, but they are not cheap, and I wont call on them until I am sure that this situation is truly more than I can handle. We will send what we have for now and hope for the best.

“No sooner said than done. I am off.” he bowed quickly and exited.

“Remember Duran!” Merrill called after him. “The coffer is our first priority, bring it in no matter what the cost.”

Rogu did not like the idea of going to the cottage. Ilianna told them to stay here, and that women looks like she knows what she's doing. However, Rogu went along with Fara. For a little girl, she gave valid points.

The cottage was now in sight from the path. When the three got closer, Rogu halted and hid behind a large tree. The tyring saw soldiers in the window along with the masked one sneaking about. Rogu gave the man a thumbs up from behind the tree when the tyring spotted the two dead guards. Rogu motioned Fara and Adyn to come to him.

" Fara, we must be very, very quiet. There are soldiers in your home and if they find you, they'll hurt you. Do you understand?" Rogu said to Fara with kindness. Rogu noticed Fara staring at the bloody guard by the front door with fear in her eyes. Rogu quickly replied.

Vhoten took advantage of the silence created by his sister to dispose of another soldier with a curved dagger to the gut, nodding to the blue figure in the distance and making a hand signal that clearly meant the group should hold thier position. Then the cloacked figure ghosted upstairs, leaving most of the soldiers to find the corpse on the ground floor.

A single soldier was upstairs, and Vhoten cursed his sister's powers - the spell was inteffering with his own abilities and he failed to sense the soldier before he stepped out of a doorway to come face to face with Vhoten. The warrior obeyed his reflexes, removing his mask before the soldier could even raise his blade. Ilianna's spell broke as the soldier fell to the floor, clutching the sides of his head and screaming lound enough to bring the house down. Vhoten replaced his mask and leapt out of an upstairs window as the other soldiers ran up the stairs to find thier now-irreperably insane comrade curled up on the floor and still screaming."Ah, they have a cave troll....."

Karina swooped down to land on a lower branch.

*I shall change back into my human form* she announced to them and flew into the forest. Moments later, a black mage walked out. Preparing a spell, she pulled out a bit of grease and a feather.

"I am going to use a Silence spell. that will make it easier. But we also cant hear eachother talk, so arrange yourselves now."

It felt wierd talking thru her mouth. She liked the wicked beak and wings. Dannie: Hey, you know there's a new birth control drug out. Guess what the side effects are?

OOC: Um, Princess, that's what My character already did.

BIC: Ilianna froze, realizing that her spell had broken, the leaves rustled in the trees once more....and a single bird, spooked by the sudden silence, chirped tentatively.

She moved forward, her eyes open for any more guards. Three attacked her immeatiely. She reached into a hidden pocket, and pulled out a handfull of pale blue sand.

She raised her open palm and blew the sand from her hand. "Oh Gentle spirits that bring sleep, lead these men to their dreams...." She repeated it twice, and the three slumped to the ground, out cold.

Adyn un-sheathed his dagger and pulled off his right glove.....he drew a line across his palm, the thin rivers of blood welled and ran freely...the magic calling to him glazed his eyes, he stood in a malestrom, battling as his blood sang to him for power...

Moving quietly, Adyn stepped up to the door, slivers of heartfire raced up and down his right arm, caressing him, willing him to use them....he would. Kicking the door open, the startled men grabbed for their futile swords. He raised his palm, letting the magicks rage forth as the heartfire spewed forth, screaming, music to his ears as his blood danced.

The men rose their arms to ward of the heat and flame, to little avail. The fire slammed into them, filling the room, but burning nothing but the guards inside. Soon, there was naught left but smoking ash.....yet the fire still rages, Adyn struggled to stench the magick by closing his fist, drawing the power back....he shook with the effort...but eventually stopped the fire. Shaking, he turned to Rogu..."I think it will be safe the enter now...", that dark look of magick still lingered in his eyes, singing for release.

Upstairs, Far from the house entrance
----------------------------------------------------

Four of the remaining guards huddled around their ally, who lay crumpled up into a fetal position covering his ears and shrieking frantically.

They were all unaware of the event which took place, just seconds ago, in the room far below them. The screams of their fellow guards, were drowned out by Belard’s own… All that could be felt was an eerie heat, wafting up from the floorboards....None noticed it.

“Belard!” One of the guards, Huran, bent down besides Belard’s curled form.

The other guards stared in fear. “What’s wrong with him?”

“He’s gone insane.” Huran replied bluntly. “And there is nothing we can do for him now.”

One guard looked to the other. “How do you suppose this happened?”
Huran looked up. “Haven’t you noticed that something odd has been going on around here? Someone’s working magic on us, it’s practically crawling through the air.”

He stood up and stepped over Belard, who continued to scream madly.

“All of you sharpen your senesces and your swords! ” Huran drew his dagger and pointed to two of the guards.

“I want you and you to go outside and check around the house, and you!” He pointed to the next. “Go downstairs and find the others. I will check up around here. If you walk into anyone… man, woman or child; kill them on site. We are not going to take any chances. Do you hear?”

“Yes sir!” they all spoke, a nervous tinge lingered in their voices.

“Once we find and kill the sneaky creature that’s doing this, we can get back to work and get that blasted coffer Merrill’s been screaming for! Now get going! I will take care of Belard.”

Wasting no time, all three guards moved downstairs as Huran, clutching his dagger firmly, jutted the blade deep into Belard’s chest. The screaming stopped and all was still. Huran jerked the dagger from the corpse.

“I’m sorry friend. But you’ll do better dead than alive like that.”

Slowly Huran moved upstairs towards the attic, leaving Belard by himself.

As Huran moved back from the now silent corpse and headed up the stairs, a dark figure swung smoothly down from the ceiling rafters - it was some sixth sense that alerted the guard, for the masked figure made no sound. Huran managed to parrry the first two blows, locking his sword with the strangers on the first.

The soldier was about to make some sneering remark when he stopped as if stunned, reaching his hand down to his stomach. It came away wet. He crumpled slowly to the floor, still staring dumbly at the curved dagger that protrued from his chest.

Vhoten waited untill the officer had fully died, the removed his dagger and gently closed the eyes of the soldier. Then he was gone, hunting the remaining three guards."Ah, they have a cave troll....."

Karina turned sharply, but her voice was not the usual sardonic tone of normal. "Those people," She said, looking at Fara, "Want you, your house, and every other trace of your existance. So Anita was killed, they want you as well."

Fara let out a faint squeak, feeling panicked by Karina’s frankness.

There was nothing special about their home or their lives. Regardless of the fact, the same people who had destroyed her family were raiding her house. What more would they get if they took Fara’s life and her home?

Perhaps the community of Lozilania was afraid of Fara, maybe they feared that she was a witch as well, who would wreak vengeance upon them in her later years. And so, in order to ensure that this would never happen, they would have to dispose of her and everything trace of her existence.

That had to be it! Fara could not think of any other reasons.

She stared into her house blankly, glowering at the traces of ash scattered across the smooth planked floor that were once living, breathing men. She was unusually pleased with their fate.

“They want to hurt me because they think that I’m a witch too…” Her voice was bitter… emotionless.

“I wont-I wont let them do to me, what they did to my sister.” She scowled.

“They thought that they could just sweep through and kill her. And now they think that can do the same to me!”

Anger suddenly took over Fara, her fear and sadness faded as hatred and resentment replaced it.
Memories of her sisters burning flooded back, and she remembered a silent vow that she had made to herself since the very beginning of the ordeal.

Somehow, someday she would make them suffer a fate ten times worse than the one they had bestowed upon her sister.

My love, this rose we nurture is a window of our time.

“That day will be today.” she whispered to herself. Turning she grabbed Rogu and pulled him through the front door, towards the staircase.

”Anita’s special room is upstairs in the attic.” She urged. “We can find all of her books and things there! Then you can help me find the spells I need! They were right to try and get rid of me!” She sneered scornfully. “I’ll make them wish that I was dead sooner!”

Fara and Rogu made their way up the stairs, as Adyn tailed behind. All of them were unknowingly about to walk into the last three remaining guards, who just so happened to be moving down the staircase at that very instant, hunting for other intruders.

The first guard standing in front of the other three quickly spotted Fara and Rogu. He gestured towards the others behind him, informing them to follow his lead. Then in a sudden swift motion he violently charged down the staircase, holding his sword up high above his head, aiming to bring it down on his first easy target… Fara.

Adyn grabbed Fara, brushing passed Rogu violently. "Fara! Move!", he pulled her back sharply, the guards blade barely missing her. The Blade. Adyn moved swiftly, he cut himself on the guards sword that was partly loadged in the floor. His bleeding palm rose, a surge of cold fire racing forward, slamming into and throwing the guard back. His chest was froze to the back wall at the end of corridor, his arms and legs flailing as he tried to escape the burning ice. A futile effort at best.

"Get her down stairs Rogu...i'll take care of the rest.", already his dagger was out its sheath once more, another cut made on his right hand.

Rogu swiftly took Fara into his muscular, blue arms. He quickly ran down the staircase, trusting Adyn could get the job done alone.

Rogu took Fara to hide in the kitchen. When they got there, Rogu placed Fara on the counter. He gave her a brief smile, then went to look around some more.

" Stay here Fara. I'll be right back." The tyring commanded with a serious face.

Rogu left the kitchen and went to the front door. He opened it and peeked out into the yard. Rogu slammed and locked the door when he saw a guard running towards him from outside the home. Rogu ran back to the kitchen to protect Fara. The tyring flinched when he heard the bashing of a glass window.

" Come out and fight me you blue demon!" shouted a raspy voice.

Rogu covered Faras mouth, preventing her from screaming in fear.

" Shhh." Rogu whispered. " He's coming."

Suddenly a guard lept onto Rogu's back from behind. The wiry guard got Rogu in an impressive headlock. Rogu charged backwards, slamming the guard into an ice-box in the kitchen. Rogu staggered around, gathering oxygen. He became alert when he heard the sound of steel being unsheathed.

The guard charged towards Rogu with his long sword. Rogu rolled out of the way and grabbed a butcher knife on the counter. The guard, however, was right behind him and drove the sword into the tyrings thick, bulky back. Rogu fell to the floor in pain.

His eyesight was becoming hazy and all he could hear was his heartbeat. Suddenly the odd silence was broken by a little girls scream.

" Fara!" Rogu roared. The tyring rose and saw the guard pointing his sword at Fara and laughing. Rogu took a pan in his hands and swung with all his might. It thwacked the guard in the side of his helmet, causing enough impact to make the guard crash into the kitchen table. Rogu took the butcher knife and hacked at the squirming guard till he moved no more.

He turned back to Fara. Half of his blue body was now red. Rogu sighed in fatigue then sat up on the counter next to Fara.

" Are you okay?" He said to the little girl, seeing the fear in her eyes.If your expecting a kick in the balls and you get a slap in the face, its a victory!

"That will keep you for now, Rogu." She said, "But try not to exert yourself....i suggest you get to a real Cleric soon.....i dont have the components to cast a full healing spell."

Taking Rogu's posistion, she looked at the injured Tyring. "You protect Rogu, i'll go up to Anita's room."

Turning back into a hawk, she flew out of the house, unpstairs, and sharply rapped on the glass till it broke. Inside, she noticed spellbooks, components, and everything a mage needed. Dannie: Hey, you know there's a new birth control drug out. Guess what the side effects are?

He stepped forward and drew back his blade, ready to bring it down on Fara, who stood paralyzed with fear. Then she shrieked as a metal shard appeared to grow out of the soldier's cheek. Then he fell slowly to the floor, the sneer still on his face, his body propped gruesomly by the knife protruding from it's skull - seeming to still leer accusingly at Fara.

Then a thick green cloak enveloped her, hiding the girsly site from her. Vhoten used his other arm to help the semi-concious Tyring to his feet, supporting him as the three headed out to the clearing surrounding the house."Ah, they have a cave troll....."

She pulled a pouch out of her pocket, and it was filled with a fine, glittering blue/violet Sand.

She worked quickly, her hands moving in intricate weaves...The sparkling blue sand fell from her hands to land in intricate patterns, each more complicated than the last. She completed the circle once, then pulled out another pouch, this sand was silver, and she went over certain patterns again, this time with the silver. when she was finished, she stood at the northern most point.

Her words where soft, falling from her lips like water. THe blue began to glow, followed a heartbeat later by the silver....at her last word, a shimmering blue/silver gateway began to shimmer into existance.

Ilianna waited for the group to proceed her, then followed suit, walking calmly through the gateway.

The ground mimicked the forest path that they were just on, but the sky was a miriad of color. She kept a good watch around them....as she closed the Gateway behind them.

She caught Vohten's eye then they proceeded down the path....they had taken no more than a half dozen stepps when the scenery changed abruptly....Still the same Swirling sky of color, but this time the ground beneath their feet was sand, not hard forest trail....

Another half dozen stepps and the terrain was rocky, mountainous....and before them they could see a silver/blue portal....just ahead.

"There's the other portal...not far now...." She called out.

When they finaly cleared the portal, they all stood in awe of what they saw. The trees where tall, the pines bright green in the waning sunlight...the light cast was slightly bluish, shading everything.

The trees there that bore fruit had blossoms, young and ripe fruit on them all at the same time. A strange deer-like creature with striped leggs and a single spirialing horn stepped out of the foliage. A bright Blue bird with a long trialing tail flew from one tree to the other for cover. She moved to the front of the group, and just past her they could see the crystalline buildings of the city.

"welcome to our homeland...a temporary refuge....Linforla...." She turned and walked with Vohten. He made a questioning jesture.

"Yes, I know the rules...we'll deal with that when we come across it...."

Vhoten placed Fara gently down on the path and looked around. He was...different somehow here. Though he still wore the long and finely made green cloak and his gauntlets he had changed subtly. His armour was no longer the darkened ring-and-leather it had been before, but a finely decorated breastplate now, a triple-layered pair of pauldrons covered his shoulders and his gauntlets were also finely crafted metal. A half-skirt of a fine scale mail covered the each leg, and the trousers and boots he wore underneath were finely made. However, the fine metal of the armour was still dulled, the gold artwork tracing the armour being the only part glinting at all. Then he turned to face the others. The scarf that had covered his face was gone, a featureless bronze mask covered it, only a slit for each eye marring the smooth surface - though somehow shadows seemed to conceal the eyes themselves.

There was something else as well, a haze seemed to surround him, as if some source of power within him was bleeding out into the surroundings - diffracting the light oddly around him. He waved a hand and burning letters appeared in the air before him,

This is our home. Cause trouble, and I will kill you. Hurt anyone or anything, and I will kill you. Attempt to find a way between Krynn and here, and I will kill you. I hope you all understand. If you don't understand, I will kill you."Ah, they have a cave troll....."

Ilianna rolled her eyes at her brother. "Vohten....please...." She said softly. Those who looked her way also noticed a change, though not as extreme as Vohten's. She was back in the blue and silver gown, a fine net covered her black hair, it seemed to wink with tiny stars woven in the silver net.

"Come, we will meet with our Father...." She lead the group further into the city, the pale sunlight made the crystal buildings glimmer, several people stopped and stared. many others ran for the reletive safty of their homes.

They reached a huge building, several guards stood before it. They crossed their spears, barring entrance.

"Lady Ilianna....Lord Vohten...who are these strangers??" One of them asked, slight fear glinting in his eyes.

Karina at first looked at Vhoten's words and considered tme. "I never had any intention of such, Vhoten. I'm not a damned fool, and I have no intention of leaving without your permission. I am perfectly happy here, and it is rather beautiful. Don't be so serious," She said to him and smiled. "It doesnt work well for you."

She then turned her glance to the guardsmen and saw one quiver under her hard glance. "I am Karina, Head of the Black Robes. I am afraid i have startled you, milord, but I and my comrades have been lead by Lady Ilianna and Lord Vhoten to this place, which is rather nice, seeking shelter from a couple of people who would like to see us all dead." Fara gazed at her surroundings in wonder. She had never seen such a place. It had a mysterious beauty to it. The air smelled sweet and subtle, the trees seemed to breath soft sighs as they passed. And the peculiar creatures that grazed near the forest were like none that she had ever encountered before. Fara felt an unusual sort of calm wash over her; the same calm the suddenly filled her being when Vhoten had carried her through the portal.

She was about to object to his taking her. She did not truly trust him and very much feared his presence. However, as subtly as the moment he picked Fara up, the raging emotions that whirled within her disappeared; along with most (not all) of the fear that she felt towards him.

This reassuring feeling that Fara felt was short lived. As soon as the group stepped from the portal Vhoten had suddenly changed. His appearance was abruptly different and fearsome. The moment he placed her down Fara pushed herself away from him and scooted over towards Adyn and Rogu, grasping both of their hands. She would have gone to Ilianna, but she too had undergone change as well. Though it was not as strident as Vhoten, Iliannas alteration, by itself, caused some worry in the small girl.

The burning words that Vhoten summoned into the air did nothing to reassure Fara. Now she was certain that she did not trust him at all. He seemed worse than before. Anxiously Fara snuggled between Adyn and Rogu. She felt much safer in their presence and kept close to the two as Ilianna led them deep into the city Linforla.

OOC: Ack!! Sorry Leandra, I sent you an email and called your Jorza!! (Feels really mortified now) Stupid me! I'm hoping you were okay with my idea...if not I'll change what I write here.

BIC: Ilianna cast a cool glance at Karina then turned to the Guard. "These People are our guests. I will take responsability for their presence here...for now, we must see Father..."

The Guard that had spoken looked to his parner who only nodded. After a tense moment, they parted and allowed them to pass.

The structure was built like a castle, with towers and turrettes. Made of a multitude of multi-color of Crystal. Once inside, the main corridor was decorated with beaded tapestries that depicted the Linforlan's flight from Krynn. The last and final Tapestry was huge, and covered the entire wall behind the audiance chamber. It was a picture of the founder, Leslac Linforla, staff in hand, the first portal standing before him, his hands raised in dramatic presentation.

Below the tapestry was a small gold-crystal dias. Two chairs rested upon them, and seated in the right hand chair was Leland Linforla, Ilianna's and Vohten's father.

Ilianna dropped into a low curtsey, her right hand fisted at her heart, head bowed. "Father....we have returned, and with our mission partially fulfilled....we regret to say that Anita was killed....Murdered...as we feared would happen.....of Lady Keslie, no word.....but we have brought back this little one...."

Ilianna turned and gestured to Fara. "This little one is Anita's sister....Mother had another child..."

Leland leaned forward slightly, his dark eyes intense upon the child. His white hair was bound behind his head, and held in check by a gold circlet.

"Is it possible? This child is Keslie's? It is unfortunate that Keslie has faded from history, and that Anita's death has come to pass....but to find one such as this...." He straightened and turned his gaze to his Daughter, then to his Son.

"Good work, Vohten, Ilianna....you have brought home My Wife's Last born child...for that I thank you...." He stood and stepped down from the dias...

"I am pleased to meet you, Fara." The Man's presence was as intimidating as Vohtens, but, his eyes where kind; as the pocket realms hold was slipping from Father to Son....

Not quite listening to the conversation at hand, Fara did not hear when Leland spoke of her being his daughter. Instead, her attention became focused upon the grand tapestries that were strewn lavishly across the corridors and walls. Such large and colorful distractions pulled Fara away from Iliannas present discussion with the leader of Linforla. Therefore, when Leland turned to greet her, Fara knew nothing of her relation to him, Ilianna, or Vhoten.

"I am pleased to meet you, Fara."

“Hello…” she smiled in a shy fashion, moderately squeezing herself closer between Rogu and Adyn.

“Thank you for letting my friends and I stay here. We would be at my house but it’s not safe right now. There were a bunch of guards from Lozalania snooping around inside.” She sighed worriedly.

Fara wondered for a second if the rest of her home was still in one piece. She never really had the chance to investigate it herself.

“I’m not sure when it will be safe to go to my house again, I guess we’ll be waiting in your lovely town for a while, at least until I can get my sister back. I really miss her, but I am sure that we’ll be together again soon…”

She paused for a moment. Then spoke again meekly.

“If you don’t mind sir, would it be too much trouble if my friends and I could find a place to rest? Rogu-”

She titled her head towards the tyring. “-became hurt when he was protecting me from the guards. And Adyn -“

She nodded towards him.”-does not seem well either, not after all the fighting that he went through. He was cut many times and is very weary.

I think that they need some time to relax and get better. I would be ever so grateful if you could help us!”

Fara smiled sweetly, dipping into her best attempt at a curtsy.

"Of course!" Leland stood, and beconed a man dressed in fine clothing. "Show our guests to the eastern wing...."

"Daughter, show Lady Fara to her suite...." He said, smiling at the precocious child. "For now I too must retire, I grow too weary too early in the day....Forgive me...."

Ilianna glanced at Vohten and back at Leland. "Will you be alright Father?" She asked softly.

Impatiently he waved her off. "Yes, yes....do not worry....Vohten?" He gestured for him to follow and left the chamber.

Ilianna watched after the two and then sighed, the worry was still there in her blue eyes. "Alright then....Please, follow Vaghn....he will tend to your needs..."

"Fara, Sweetheart, please come with me." She called.

She led the child up a winding staircase, to a narrow corridor, and found a place with two rooms, side by side. The left side door was decorated in silver, and had a gleaming sapphire in the center, bigger than Ilianna's outstretched palm.

The door on the right, was decorated in gold, and sported a pink tormoline in the center, the same size as the sapphire. Illianna pulled a gold key from a chain that also sported a silver key, and unlocked the door.

"This is your room Fara....I hope you like it....It was to be your sisters....long ago..." She said softly and handed Fara the gold key. Is there anything you need right now? I am certain at dawnbreak we can see what we can do for Anita...."

"Rather impressive, Lord Vhoten." she said with a sneer. "I will rest here for the rest of the day. I must work on my spellcasting and polymorphing. Rest well, friend." She says to Rogu, Adyn, Vhoten and Iliana.

"May the Gods walk with you."

She glances at Vhoten once more. "Vhoten, you're dragging a thread on your cape. It's from my robe."

“My sister’s room?” she asked, scanning the tenderly decorated room and turning to Illianna with a slight look of confusion.

“I don’t understand. Were you expecting her to visit you a long time ago?”

Somewere near Fara's home
----------------------------------------------------

Neerya stepped briskly through the showed valley forest. She was traveling slower than she usually would in some instances, taking her time, trying to enjoy the scenic view…though the circumstances truly did not call for it. Neerya had, after all, an important task to complete.

She rubbed her arm lightly recalling her run in with the odd group and the guard. Her limb appeared to work perfectly now without any indication that it had been hurt.

She stared up at the canopy tops, peering at the small streams of light that ached through the thick-leaved branches. Light was fading; the day would soon end. Hurriedly Neerya began to move faster, picking up her pace realizing that her idleness had gotten the best of her. Though time was not totally against Neerya, her destination was not a great deal further now. Much sooner than later, she jutted out of the forest path onto an illegible moss covered road that led straight into a clearing in the woods.

Neerya could see Anita’s house clearly. It seemed to be undisturbed. Intact and unexplored. At least from the outside. Traces of blood and corpses told her otherwise.

“I’m came too late….” she cursed angrily, stepping closer towards the house to examine its structure. She stood still and silent for a moment. Listening for any tale tell sounds. There were none…. She was alone, it was safe for her to examine the house without any interruption.

With a cautious step, she made her way through the front door to the inside of the house. Ash and soot cloaked the walls and covered the floor. The smell of burnt flesh was not far behind. It wafted through the air like a dank fog that refused to break.

Neerya stopped for a moment, gazing at the scene before her. It appeared as if something was cooked alive right in the hallway and the flames had spared all but the victim.

She stretched her fingers over to the stair case banister and swiftly ran them across the ash, holding it up to her face for closer inspection. She arched her eyebrows in though. “Curious..” she whispered to herself.

The only evidence of there being anyone there were the remnants of their swords, which were partially melted. A scurmish of sorts had indeed gone on within the house.

She started towards the staircase, but paused and turned, heading towards the kitchen instead. A table was overturned and a bloody body lay on the floor, a meant cleaver conveniently next to it, another body, less hacked up but with a dagger protruding form it head lay there as well. They were both Merrill’s guards.

Far from the bodies by the sink area were hundreds of white porcelain shards, scatted across the floor.

Neerya tiptoed past the gruesome scene making an extra effort to keep her leather boots from staining with blood, but not without accidentally crushing a fragment of the delicate porcelain glass beneath her feet.

She left the kitchen through the backyard door and headed towards the outdoor cellar to continue her search.

"Ilianna?" Fara brushed her hands against her godmothers in anxiousness.

“Ilianna, what did you mean when you said that this was Anita’s room? I don’t really understand what you mean. Very much like I don’t understand what has been going on around me since Anita has been gone.”

Fara gently grasped her dress pocket, which still held her sisters ashes. “I know you said that you would help me with Anita in the morning…but I can’t wait. Can we try now? Please Iliann-…please godmother. Can we gather the others and get the bag with my sister’s spells?"

"Yes, Fara, this was to be anita's room.... Your mother, and Anita's mother, was mine and Vohten's mother.... She fled our realm, in hopes of raising Anita in the world we came from, Krynn... You and Anita where born there..."

She nodded at Fara's pleas.

"Ofcourse, come on, we should find them." Ilianna opened the door and blinked in surprise as she saw Karina and Adyn there. "Well.... What's going on here?" She asked, for because of the magic that impermeated everything here, she hadn't realized that the two where outside the door, the Guardian of the door hadn't told her.

She turned to the Guardian. "Sleeping again?" She shook her head as the Gargoyal's face returned. "You're supposed to let the person know inside that they have guests.... have you been attached to this door so long that you've forgotten that?" She asked, hands on her hips.
