OOC: I want to create a story of a long battle and every detail I want to be put down. The story will progress with the accounts of many occupants of the battle, on each side. It would be nice to hear about the character’s past as he or she recreates it in their mind as the battle is fought. I will play a general of elves against an army of formidable ogres. The general of the ogre army is for anyone who was first grabs.
The battle will just be in a Dragonlance setting and will not be related to anything that is in the books or in the history of Krynn, because of many restrictions place upon it. So it just a free battle, nothing can hold you back. And it doesn’t have to be restricted to just elves and ogres, so chose sides wisely.
I will chose who will win in the end by the accounts of the players. So all join me in warfare, let the blood of our enemies hide our battle scars!

BIC:

The whole elven infantry met with the Knights of Solamnia on a grand hill and under a pale sky. The plans were made and the undertaking was hard against their hearts. Gondrake and his son, Zarreanon advised with the general of the Solamnic Knights, all was well on paper. But the war was hardly over, the scouts sent accounts of ogre destruction west of Sithelnost and north of Shalost. Never was the ogres so far deep with Silvanesti forest and hardly they destroyed as much as they have now.

This worried Zarreanon, and the night was far from over. The ogres were split apart, taking twice the land of which one ogre army could overcome. The meeting was nearly over and the mild bickering went unnoticed to Zarreanon, general of the elven infantry. He sat and watched the stars as they were being eaten by the dark clouds. His thoughts went to his love, a beautiful elven maiden that his father, King Gondrake, knew nothing about. He hoped he would see her again on good terms, but that was far away and it seemed unreachable.

The echoing of shouts could be heard as the distant thunder boomed across the earth. This was a bad omen, a warning from the gods of good. Zarreanon left his father and went to a gentle stream and had his fill of cool water. His saw in his reflection another behind him.

He turned around, but no one was there. He shook it off as an illusion from heavy troubles and walked to the edge of the wood. He looked far into the forest, thinking that he would see the ogres marching against the thick foliage and destroying all that lay in their path like a dark flame in the night, unyielding, even to its creator.

A Solamnic battle horn was heard in the thickening air. Zarreanon called his troops to arm. The massive army came together in a matter of seconds, a skill that only battle harden warriors could produce. The thousands of warriors took rank in the meadow and Zarreanon waited for further word.

“Father? Do you know that you are in grave danger? I think you should leave with a few archers and leave for Sithelnost. You would be safer there. You would do better for all if you were kept alive.” Zarreanon said earnestly. Father and son always had this argument before battle, yet something in his son’s words made Gondrake yield to his son’s wisdom this time. It was something unexpected by both parties.

“Ye, I know that my son, and I have given you power over my armies. I know that you have battled more than I, but will you not let me fight at your side, Zarr? Yes, I understand... Do not die today son, for you are my heir and your death will be a deep scar for our people. But it is not wise that both of us die and your mother’s family shall come to rule will be both a disappointment, and an unwelcoming thought.” Gondrake took a deep breath, “Farewell my son. And may Eli be with you.”

With that he left on swift wings, leaving with the only griffions they had to offer. Zarreanon waved a farewell and turned his head to his left to hear the approaching ogres footsteps. The battle was very near and the elves felt their heart quickening. The Battle of Midnight’s Birth was about to commence.

OOC: As I said earlier that any one can take control of the general of the ogres. You can introduce your characters now as they get ready for the battle. And I will proceed with the battle when everyone is ready.‘As the flame gets nearer the heart grows colder still,
The waters recede and the ocean flows overbearing in desire,
The trees, animals, and foliage cry for life,
Drowning in a sea of wretchedness
It has sent this world to oblivion...’

OOC: This sounds like it could be a really cool thread. As soon as a few people come in, I'll join you.

Here's some info.....

My character is a female Silver/Red hybrid Dragon, named Airiana (to mortals) her true name is Kilandralsilvantaslik. She is approximately 200 feet tall and 250 feet in length. She is an ancient Dragon that is neither good nor evil in nature. She generally tries to help the mortals of Krynn out, and she greatly favors the Elves over any other race.

Her guise when she walks among mortals is that of a tall female Elf with long black hair which she keeps tied up in a high ponytail, large silver eyes, and a deep tan. Her clothing is simple; she wears silvery-red robes and knee-high leather boots.

She adorns her body with only one piece of jewelry, which is a beautiful mood-showing emerald. The necklace itself is made up of a diamond chain and a large, heart-shaped emerald at its center. The color of the emerald shows the true feelings of its wearer, and often times works against her. Her Dearest Friend, Furanthas, who is long-since departed, gave it to her but she still holds onto the keepsake and has yet to take it off the first time.

She has a strong affinity for magic, and when in Elven form, is unmatched with a bow and arrows. She can also wield a sword, though she prefers either bow and arrow or hand-to-hand combat. She can fly; as most Dragons can, and is surprisingly swift despite her great size. Her Dragonbreath is an odd, but effective combination. It is fiery-ice, meaning it first seers whatever it hits with an intense heat and then effectively freezes the object. She can mindspeak, as all Dragons can, and as well can emit Dragonfear.

For this thread, I thought about making her trapped in Elven form, which would cancel out her powers of flight and Dragonbreath, also Dragonfear I would imagine.

Well... I think that's more than enough information. As far as her past, there isn't much to it aside from being the only surviving member of her clutch. Her mother and father's clans are both dead, so she has no dragonkin. She wanders Krynn and helps our mortals, but that's about it.

Yes, very interesting. With the Elven trapped form idea you need to keep, we wouldn't want this battle ending to quickly. *wink*

A soldier, little more than a boy, looked up at Gren with fear in his eyes. "Are we really going to be able to stop them?"

"Of course, Jael. Have some faith, we have the strongest allies in the realms here at our sides. Besides, we can't desert the Silvanesti. We'll put an end to this yet, have faith." The boy seemed to set his jaw somewhat and whet back to sharpening his guard poles.

If only I had some of that faith. Gren Rivergreen looked at his little group, digging in on the right side of the massive hill. They were as young as Jael and as old as Grey Masters, not elven lords nor solamnic knights, but farmers and forresters, a band of yomen from the villages that eked out existances within the shadows of Silvanost. A rag-tag lot, with no formal training or uniforms, they has come with whatever weapons they had to hand, rallying to the defense of their homes and those of their elven hosts.

Most of them sported longbows. Although no elf had ever given such weapons to humans, Gren's people had long seen their effectiveness. Through much labor, they had created their own versions and used them extensively for defense and for hunting. Thus it was that two hundred of the Humans of Silvanost were erecting a wall of spikes to shield them from the onrush of the ogre hoards so that their arrows gould join the elves' in an attempt to clear the enemy from their homeland.

What true hope we have is in our allies, but I shall fight to the last arrow if I must... if we should here fail, we will have nowhere to return."Eyes that fire and sword have seen,
and horrors in the halls of stone,
shall look at last on meadows green,
and trees and hills they long have known."

Airiana pushed her long, black hair our of her face and looked out onto the horizon. The Ogres would be here soon and a long, bloody battle would insue, to be certain. She lowered her longbow, knowing even her great strength could not yet reach the Ogre army. She moved over to the Elven leader, Zarreanon, and looked him over. He seemed calm enough, but he was deeply troubled.

"Is there anything you want me to do before the battle starts, Zarreanon?" She asked, knowing that she need not tell him of what she could do, as he knew her plight. Though in all honesty, it really didn't bother Airiana too much to be trapped as an Elf, as she loved the people so. The only thing she disagreed with was not being able to fly, all the other consequences she could deal with.

As an afterthought, Airiana added. "You father is in good hands. King Gondrake will be fine. The Griffons know well enough to protect him, as do the archers."

Looking over her shoulder, Airiana felt the hair on the nape of her neck stand up. The Ogres were close, and getting closer by the second.

Zarreanon looked at Airiana. "We can do nothing but wait. The ogres plot something, for they are taking too long." He looked down from the small hill they were on, the grass of the meadow slighlty bending from the night breeze. He heard their footsteps no more.

And suddendly one lone ogre walked out of the forest, Zarreanon should have noticed him, but it was too late. No one was with him and he was the largest ogre he had ever seen.

Then Zarreanon knew what he wanted... a one on one match. He hadn't seen this done in many of years. He was just about to accept the ogre's challenge when a large Knight galloped down to meet him.

The match was a long one, but in the end the Knight won with a swift jab in the gut with his sword. The Knight raised his sword high in the air... suddenly he fell, he fell hard against the ground.

An arrow protuding from his head. The ogres finally reveiled themselves. It was a disheartening site, but Zarreanon knew they had to win...‘As the flame gets nearer the heart grows colder still,

OOC:
What I meant by that was, did you want my character to cast any spells or anything? She can command good and dark magic whenever she wishes, and can do quite a bit of it before it begins to tire her out.

BIC:
Airiana frowned as both opponents in the one-on-one match fell to the ground. The battle would start in earnest now.

Bowing quickly to Zarreanon, Airiana jumped into a nearby tree on the hilltop. Landing neatly on the balls of her feet, she put down a hand on the large limb to steady herself. This tree and branch were the only around that could hold her great weight. 'That's the problem with being trapped in this form,' she grumbled to herself. 'I may look like an Elf, but I still have the weight of a Dragon.'

Nodding to the Elves surrounding her in the trees, she sent a mental message to each of them. 'All right archers, look alive. As soon as Prince Zarreanon gives the signal to attack, I want a full volly of arrows reining down on the heads of those uglies. Notch your first arrow and aim.'

As she finished speaking to her troops, she looked down at Zarreanon and awaited the signal. This was going to get bloody.

Zarrearon looked over the soon-to-be battlefield and watched the ogre army’s cruel looks. There were quite a sum of ogres and goblins but the Prince knew there were more out there, laying waste to his people’s homeland.

His heart quickened as more ogres made their selves seen. He drew a breath and waited for the right moment. Another lone ogre walked up and stood watching him in hatred and malice. He wanted to rally again. Zarreanon looked up the sky prayed to the god E’li, supreme god of good.

Mighty E’li, the Platinum Dragon, give me strength for all of my warriors, and let me win this battle with few or no casualties. This a beg you, save our homeland from further destruction. The earth will not morn the ogre, it will morn the Elf. This I pray to you.

Zarrearon withdrew his gaze from the sky and redirected it to the situation at hand. He issued the attack.

Gren watched the duel with horrified interest. That one man could be so brave, skilled, and foolish all at once was something beyond his comprehension. It just felt wrong.

Then down the line came a cry, a rippling wave of sound as the elves suddenly gave vent to their vengence. A hail of arrows streaked from the battle line, arcing towards the enemy hoard. Old Masters cursed as he watched.

"Blight, will you look at that, Gren! There's no way on this side of the Abyss that our bows can put an arrow that far!"

Gren picked up a shaft and gritted his teath as he strained on the bowstring. When his arm felt that it was about to come loose from its socket, he let it fly. With a shriek, it went whistling into the malestorm, landing somewhere within the enemy's mass.

"It's possible, Masters." Gren raised his voice, a human in homespun haranguing his troops. "It is possible, my friends! Raise your bows and let none doubt our place on this field! Today we strike a blow for our homelands!! Aim well, and wast not one arrow! We shall be the victors!""Eyes that fire and sword have seen,

BIC: Simon watched with antisapation as the two combatants met in the middle of the field. He smiled as the human killed the ogre and the first blood of battle was spilled. It was the same feeling that he got from the first time that his father ( Dalamar the dark ) had taught the spell to create light. He watched with antisapation as the elven archers took up their bows and let forth the first volley of arrows. Their whistling filled his ears and he watched them fall amongst the men that were standing in front of him. He heard a cheer go up from the elven infantry as he watched ogres around him die. Simon and the thirteen other mages around him lifted there hands or pulled out spell components. Simon let the rose petals in his hand fall to the ground, He started to recite the incantation.

SOLIAS CUNION ASBRONES.

The words left his mouth and he watched in gratifucation as part of the hill that the elves stood upon exploded and sent many of them toppling first into the sky and then with a sicking CRUNCH, that Simon could almost they hit the ground. Similar acts were being replayed all across the elven armies as the other mages worked their magic.

Simon watched as the two armies attacked from a distance neither willing to advance the battle at the moment. But it would all change soon enough.
Five more dark robed mages emerged from the woods, setting themselves in a circle far out of reach of the elven archers. He heard their voices start in unison a chant that would bring upon the dark. As their voices grew a mist started to grow, it grew with intensity soon it blotted out the sun. With a yell the ogre armies charged into the feild.....I've walked into the fires of Hate, stared into the eyes of Pain, fought off

Airiana

Airiana was afraid. Afraid was not a good thing. 'Dragons don't get afraid!' She snarled in her own mind.

'How many mages do they have?' She asked to a nearby Elf, looking around as chunks of the hillside were being blown apart. Half of her archers had been taken out, their trees and rocks blown to pieces.

Bouncing her brainwave back, the Elf replied: 'Too many.'

Airiana took a deep breath. This much she already knew. Ordering her archers to continue firing, and to try to hit the mages, she jumped down neatly from the tree. She sent a final warning to all the Elven and Human troops under the Prince's command to shield their eyes as soon as she began chanting.

As she began chanting an ancient spell, a dark mist blotted out the sun and everything was dark. All except her Heart-Emerald, which glowed in any light. Its colour was a deep red, showing her anger, and was slowing tinging to a dark purple, thus showing her fear as well. She cursed the gift silently and put it beneath her robes, hoping to conceal its light.

She began chanting the spell again, this time altering it to fit the situation. The tongue in which she spoke was as ancient as she was, and just as mysterious. She spoke in the ancient tongue of a long-forgotten Dragon's magic.

"Kla t'atkl yojhognosin bala caimou sei!" She repeated the words several times, and a bright ball of light began to grow betwixt her hands. It grew faster as her chant grew in speed, and it rose into the sky. It burst apart and shattered the darkness and as well severely hurt more than a few creatures eyes.

She moved back to her place in the tree and hoped dearly that not too many of her own soldiers were hurt by the blinding light.

OOC: I won't be able to post for a while, so if anyone wants to control Airiana for a little bit, they're more than welcome. Ciao for now.

Simon again began to cast the spells that we're raveging the elven army, when suddenly there was a bright burst of light. Both armies stopped their advances blinded momentarily. It was worse on Simon and the soldiers of the elven army becuase of their sensitivity to light and heat. But as their eyes adjusted to the brightness both armies charged forward with a new vigor.

Simon looked acrossed the field and thought to himself. "So it seems that they have themselves a mighty enough mage."I've walked into the fires of Hate, stared into the eyes of Pain, fought off

Zarreanon took up his sword from the ground and gave the signal for the attack. Time put this battle to and end.

He stared at the advancing ogre army with pure hatred in his blue eyes.

He glanced over to the elven woman. "Use your spells! It seems the ogres have gotten themselves some magic-users."

He looked back and an ogre swung his arched blade toward him. The prince dashed to the side just in time. His blade flew qucikly to the ogre's thick sword arm and it fell to the ground in a bloody heap. He looked over his shoulder, elves and ogres fell to the ground everywhere he looked. Then it started to rain.'If you receive death as your own, you will live.'

Airiana
12/23/2002 9:19 AM

Airiana nodded her head to the Prince. It was time to bring in the big spells, as she was the only mage against many. Even an ancient Dragon like herself may not be able to defeat so many.

Shaking the thought out of her head, Airiana called for her archers to continue firing, those who were left. And she weaved an evil spell, not knowing how the dark mages would react.. or how her own side would, for that matter.

She spoke the words of the ancient Dragonic magic and soon a platoon of flying skeleton warriors filled the skies. They were a strong lot, to be sure, but was evil as well. She called for the platoon to attack, and they did so. They reined down on the ogre army like a plague of locusts.

As soon as the skeletons had begun their work, Airiana left them to the task. Calling upon the good magic of her ancenstors, she called up an equal host of angelic creatures, whose only goal was to heal. They flew about bringing back the Elves and Humans so near to death and repairing the hillside.

Taking up her longbow, Airiana jumped once again into her tree and drew back an arrow. With a few words of magic, the arrow caught fire and she released it, aiming at the heart of an evil mage.

Simon saw the flying skelotons and the angles dive in amongst the armies one ide doing damage the other repairing it. Simon did not like what he was seeing. Sending a telepathic message to the rest of the mages they all turned their attention to the sky sending out bolts of fire and blue light. Some hit thier marks others did not. Simon then turned his attention to his own magik. "So you want to fight in this manner my friend." He thought to himself. The mage spoke magical words and let the magic consume him. as he did this a dark door way opened up in front of him, out stepped a large beast that few had seen on krynn. Non could see it now except for the mage. He looked at the demon from the abyss and spoke to it. Those that saw him talk thought he was talking to him self. " Go my friend, go and kill the pointed ear ones and their friends." The monster nodded his head and ran into the field. Elves were thrown in to the air by seemingly nothing. Even more had their heads ripped off by some unseen force............

As he watched the elves and ogers kill each other over and over again he knew that this would be a very bloody battle. As he watched the battle one of the elves made a army of skeletons. "Hmm.. I wonder." He looked to the elf and noticed it as a old friend of his. "Ah, so it is her."

He then saw a portal which he knew that only few could see. "What? But how?" He looked into the ogers army to see mages. "Hmm.. It seems they aren't very fair now are they?" He said as he looked back to his army of angels which he had tooken care of sense he had found them.

"Go now and help the elves and if you see a angel or human or elf dieing, try to save them." He looked back to the battle field as his angels swooped down from the cloud that he had made for them to live or just rest at. His angels where a little different than others one could say. There weren't many but they were good because of what he had taught them. He had taught them all he had known about.

He fired his bow for dear life.

With his people fled and the focus of the battle on the other side of the hill, the farmer was overlooked in the mayhem as he simply went down the line."Eyes that fire and sword have seen,

Though he was one himself, he hated them for what they had to his father and even more then that he hated what they had done to him. He wanted these stuck up devils dead more then anything. He stood thinking these thoughts bearly noticing the battle raging in front of him. But he was taken from his thoughts quickly and with untolarable pain. He looked down at the arrow fletch sticking from his leg. He turned his gaze back to the battle raging forth, andhe saw who had shot the arrow. A human stood on the other side of the two great armies firing arrow after arrow. Simon smiled grimly and commanded his demon apperition to head that way. Airiana saw that something was rampaging through the Elves defenses. She whispered a few words to the Gods and all was made clear. A demon, but how to send it back to the Abyss?

Looking above, she saw an old friend's flight of Angles coming down to aid the Elves. With a voice only a Dragon can make, Airiana called to them, telling them of the Demon, and asking them for their help in sending it home.

Knowing they would obey her request, she looked back on the battle. With a few words of magic, she began weaving a spell, and combining its strength with that of her own healing Angles, began making a shield around the Humans and Elves. When this was accomplished, she went back to firing her arrows.

Zarrearon saw the demon as it appoached the farmers' milita. He fought his way to it while he heard the screams of the dying all around him.

The rain grew as violent as the battle beneath its harsh fall. The Prince wiped his wet eyes and he took a swing at an ugly ogre not much taller than a small buliding.

One ogre found his axe across Zarrearon face, but it didn't cut deep. This ogre fell from forward, an arrow lodged in his back. He wiped the blood off and went onward.

He advanced steadliy to the demon. In the midst of this strife, whereat the halls of Ilúvatar shook and a tremor ran out into the silences yet unmoved, Ilúvatar arose a third time, and his face was terrible to behold.

In the distance there was a long and low sound coming down from the mountains. As it touched the ears of the ogres they stoped fighting and turned away from the elves and started to run. Airiana turned from her bow and looked at the enemy. They were retreating. The mages seemed to be covering them. But why were they leaving? Surely the forces of one Dragon, a small army of Elves, and a few Humans could not do all this! She looked on, trying to figure out the cause for the sudden change. But as she watched, she notched a new arrow in her bow and aimed for the nearest mage, straight at his heart. She released the arrow and smiled, 'one less to worry about.' She thought to herself as she saw the mage fall dead. She notched another arrow and took aim, not sure if it would hit true, but she pulled back the string taught and released, aiming for the main mage.....

Zarrearon saw the ogre army retreating into the thick of the forest. It must be some trick, he thought. It didn't matter anymore, he advanced on the demon as is stood their awaiting him atop the highest point of the hill.

"You will be banished back to the Abyss, foul creature." He pulled out a medillion with the symbol of Paladine echted in is cold and silvery metal. He prayed to Eli.

Airiana swore as her second arrow missed its mark, and stood wondering why they were retreating. Certainly the Elves and Humans had lost more lives than the Ogres! Seeing the Prince go for the Demon, she shook her head. 'He's going to get himself killed!' She thought to herself. 'If only I could get out of this blasted body! I could easily send that Demon back to the Abyss without anyone else's help! Damn it all! Being a Dragon trapped in this body is no good!'

As Airiana was grumbling to herself, she noticed that her archers had given up the fight. There was no use in it after all, the Ogres were out of range and the mages had already shielded themselves well. The only thing to do was to go for the Demon that none of them could see.

Airiana smirked as she thought about it, 'they'll be able to see soon enough.' She thought, whispering a prayer to the Gods of Good.

Before long, she heard gasps as the Elves around her saw the Demon.

'Attack the blasted thing!' Airiana yelled to them in their heads. Deeply obedient to her, soon all of her archers were firing their arrows into the once-unseen Demon.

Airiana herself whispered a few words of magic, and soon a fireball was aimed directly at the Demon, coming closer with every second.

The Elven prince stopped as the elven archers started firing at the demon who stood there dumbfounded. Zarrearon lifted his gaze to the strange elven woman. She must have something to do with this, he thought, Very good.

He waited, the demon seemed to falter. It was time for him to attack. He rushed over, short sword in hand. And to the amazement of the the elven people, he dropped his sword on the soaked ground and picked up his medillion with the symbol of Eli etched in its smooth surface.Live long and phosphorous. \ \\ //

Simon watched from the woods as the elven army attacked the now visible demon. They thought that they had won and that now all they had to deal with was this minor neucance. Simon smiled to himself, stepped out of the woods and thrust his hand into the air.
" Arianth turapa sunt." Simon muttered and a blue ball of flame lept from his hand into the air.

The hidden goblin army jumped out of the woods on the right side of the elves. The large force smashed the elves right flank catching them totaly off guard.

Things suddenly happened very fast. The space into whitch Gren had been firing was suddenly filled by an enormous creature, its horrible visage peppered with arrows that Gren had aimed at it without knowing. Then the human heared a massive yell and turned to see a wave of goblins headed in his direction. The force fell upon the knights, but it was clear that they would never stand.

The time had come.

Gren pulled a sheaf of arrows from the ground and ran for the woods."Eyes that fire and sword have seen,

Airiana

Everything seemed to happen at once. The Elven archers fired their arrows, the prince called upon Eli, or Paladine as he was better known, Goblins attacked, and the Ogres returned. On top of all of this, there was a large blue fireball on its way. 'Great,' Airiana thought to herself sarcastically. 'This is all we need!'

The Humans were retreating. You couldn't blame them, though. There was little chance of surviving this conflict, let alone winning it.

There was only one thing Airiana could do. It was a difficult spell, one that she had only performed once, and at a much greater risk then she dared now. The last thing she could do to help the Elves was to resurrect the souls of the Elven warriors. If this spell failed, she risked loosing her life.

Calling upon every ounce of Good in herself, Airiana looked towards the Heavens and took the deepest breath she could ever remember taking. Either way, whether the spell was successful or not, she would be of little use to her comrades. If the spell was successful, she would need to rest, if it was not successful, she would be either near death or already there.

In the ancient Dragonic tongue, she whispered a prayer into the sky and began chanting the spell. With a dagger, she spilled her own blood, making a circle with it on the battle-strone(SP?) ground. With rose petals, she went over the blood and began chanting louder.

A sudden burst of light fell Airiana to the ground and hundreds of previously-dead Elves rose from it. The spell had worked. The Elven warriors had a second chance at life.

OOC: Again, as I said before, if you don't like it, I'll change/delete it. G/g. Buh-bye! ;)

As he kept on watching the battle to his astonishment Goblins started attacking from the right of the elves. "Oh no." He looked to see dead elves rising back up. "She did it." He smiled but his smile faltered as a goblin drew his dagger and was ready to kill Airiana.

He said a couple of words and instantly was transmitted to her side. He unsheathed his sword and sliced the goblin into two. "Hold on Airiana." He dropped his sword and muttered a incantation. The Goblins were pushed back about 10 feet.

This would give the elves enough time to get ready to fight again. He then picked his sword back up and muttered another incantation that set the first line of goblins on fire. Of course their were many still to be dealt with yet he thought this would lighten up their odds of winning. He then waited for the goblins to come at him. He saw that other elves were coming to help him.

He charged into the goblins and started fighting and killing any that came his way. As the goblins kept coming he kept on fighting. He knew this war would last long. As he fought with the elves he saw his angels diving at the goblins and ogers with their spears and swords. Good he thought.

This war might be the last war he ever fought in. If he died and although he didn't like the thought he knew it would come one way or another.

The prince looked at the gobin horde as it rushed through with shining scimitars (sp?). But that did not matter to him now, all matter was the demon. He must be destroyed. He took his medillion and jumped atop the creature and they tumbled about.

The battle seemed like it lasted forever. The demon almost ripped out his heart. Zarrearon finally stabbed the medillion upon the creature's face and he hissed and screamed in bloody agony. It melted his flesh, leaving a pervese smell in the the air.

The prince defeated the creature, but at the highest cost, for Zarrearon bled to much from the wounds the demon inflicted on him. At this time the dead elven army awoke from the dreamy stupor one last time.

The demon hissed and blew out of existence. And the prince lay their life ebbing from him slowly into it was all over. The darkness took him. He was lifted to a strange light. He saw before him the Platinum Dragon.

OOC: Hey, I thought it would be good to the storyline if I killed him off. Don't be too shocked though, I will now take on the role of the prince's second in command Vilalin.

Airiana recovered quickly, thanks to her friend, and was doing better than she had anticipated after such a spell, though she was still weak. Whispering a prayer to the Gods of Good, she asked for strength so that she might continue fighting in this battle and save her weakness for another, more peaceful day. To her surprise, the Gods answered her prayer and she whispered a quick "Thank you," into the sky before standing up and breathing deeply.

Turning to her friend, Airiana smiled. "I thank you, friend."

OOC: Quick question, SoaringEagle: What character are you playing.. it would help me out greatly if I knew who I was talking to...

BIC: Airiana nodded to the man and began weaving a spell. With words unutterable to most mortal vocal chords, Airiana spoke to her skeleton warriors (remember them? :P) and her Angels as well. As close a translation as could be made was "Keep up thy work, my Creations. Thy help is needed now more than ever before."

With this reassurance, the skeleton warriors launched a new campaign against the goblins, who seemed far too close for comfort. The Angels helped keep the previously-dead Elven warriors in the living state.

Airiana smiled. 'We might be able to win this after all.' She thought to herself, leaping to the trees with her full group of archers back.

'Let's get back to business, shall we?' She told them telepathically. She grabbed an arrow and drew it taught against the bowstring. 'Fire when ready and don't stop unless you have no arrows. When that time comes, try to find more. If you can't find anymore, join your brothers in the fight below with swords and daggers. There are enough bodies still lying around to find equipment if you need it.'

This being said, Airiana released her arrow, hitting a Goblin straight in the chest, fire plumming from the magic arrow as it hit its mark. Airiana continued firing, never missing her mark.

Vilalin saw his leader fall and he wept for him. He almost forgot where he was. This is war, he thought to himself. He took his finely crafted long bow and shot away at the goblin horde that flew like running water of a tough current.

Two, three, four. They were easy enough, but somehow Vilalin knew this wasn't the end. The ogres, he knew, must be waiting for them.

BIC: Airiana looked at Vilalin. The prince was dead, and so it was Vilanlin's turn to command the armies. Jumping from her tree, Airiana swiftly made her way to her new commander. "I am sorry for your loss, for I feel the same, but what is it that you wish me to do, Vilalin? The Ogres and Goblins attack. The mages will begin again soon. My skeletons, angles, and archers are doing all they can for the moment. How are others faring?" She asked, waiting tenatively for an answer.

Simon Pure platinum eyes say the prince die by the demon. He also saw the demon parish. but he was not distraught for it had done more then it's purpose. Simon watched as the new commander took command and did all he could to turn back the onslought that came towords his armies. Then simon cought a glimps of a girl running for the elven general. he felt great pwoer from her. " She must be the one that has been a pain in my side for far to long." He thought to himself.

Simon looked into himself and dug deep into the shadows for the power that he would need. He raised his face to the sky and whispered a prayer to the god of dark magiks. "please give me the power."

Simon's eyes turned completly black and he raised his hands to the sky slowly. As he did this he burst into flames. But he could not feel it he was so deep in trance. With the uderance of the last word of the incantation the fire that was consuming him burst into the sky growing as it went. the ball of flame disapeared into the sky and then came hurtling down into the armies.(OOC:this thing is the size of a tank when it comes down.) BIC: Scorched bodies from both armies flew through the air. The smoke was so bad that simon was not sure if he hit his target or not. But at that point he did not care for he was exasted.

BIC: Airiana smiled and nodded her head, she was unharmed, though a little warmer than she had been a few moments earlier. "As you wish, Commander," she said, moving skillfully away.

Her still-Dragonic eyes could see much farther than the others around her, even through the large amounts of smoke pervading the air. She could spot anyone easily if need be. Scanning the battlefield, she soon found the culprit(SP?). The leading dark mage had commanded the gigantic fireball... and she knew he was aiming for her.

With dark magic of her own, Airiana weaved a strong spell and it was not long until the sky was filled with shooting stars. "Let us see whose aim is better, shall we?" She called laughingly across the battlefield to the mage.

Within seconds, hundreds of comets were reining down on the battlefield. Most were felt on the side of the Goblins and Ogres, but not all hit their mark, and a tree full of Elves was taken out.

Using all her strength of will, Airiana forced the comets away from the Elves and towards the mages on the other side.

OOC: I dunno when I will be able to post again. Airiana can be controlled by anyone if need be, or knocked unconsious(SP?) or something like that... I will post again when I can, but I don't know when I will be able to... Again, sorry guys.

But the Dragon kept coming closer and closer. He did not recognize his niece. But then he wouldn't, Airiana realized. She was trapped as an Elf! How would she let the spirit of her ancestor know? She could always telepath to him, but he was summoned by a spell, so this was not truly him.

Airiana let out a bellow that could only come from a Dragon and prayed that it would work. She did not wish to harm her ancestor. If not for him, she would never have existed. Her eyes grew red with fury as she moved her eyes from the Silver to the dark-robed mage. She shot off fireball after fireball at the mage, with each one growing more powerful. No matter how skilled he was, his shield could not hold up forever.
