The door opens and there stands eternity
There is a distant voice, whose voice is it?
Stroking my hair, who are you?
The flute speaks of a land of wishes
Time and feelings pass us by.
I need no friends (That’s a lie)
I need not even myself (That’s the truth)
Footprints in the sand are washed away
The nights are mysterious, hide the truth, and show me reality.
Beckoned by the moon, the darkness widens
The night is violet, tears fall like rain
The sky cries in my stead

Miya frowned, as the last of her blue flame faded from her sight. The Daemon was gone...banished back to the Grey, leaving the inhabitants of this world oblivious to their existence. Her golden brown hair fell over one shoulder, bound by a single red silk ribbon. She wore a long white tunic, short leggings, and went barefoot.... Her right one wrapped in another red silk ribbon decoratively. She shook her head, and tied a crystal flute to another red ribbon around her waist.

Miya had eyes of liquid silver that gleamed like the silver moon above. She was known to the Stray Daemon as simply the Guardian. She smiled slightly in anticipation for the hunt. The Stray Daemon known as Sherinmosu... was reported to be loose in this world.... And it was Miya’s job to find and return him to the Grey.

She walked forward, moving quickly through the forest, moving faster than possible for any mortal.

OOC: this thread is based off an anime known as “Vampire Princess Miyu” She is the Guardian of Japan, and is a vampire, she guards Japan from creatures known as Shinma, demon-like creatures that prey on the weakness of humans. Miya’s goal is to find and return the stray Daeomon Sherinmosu to the Grey. I need someone to play him and another one or two to run into and help Miya. She’s cold, and though she is helping the inhabitants of Krynn, she really don’t care for them. She is a vampire in this too, and looks like a child of fourteen.

Miya wandered the forests outside of Solace. The Vallenwood trees bright with their fall foliage. She had picked up a white cloth cloak, which barely fell to her knees. She looked up as she entered the town of Solace... Staring with a small smile at the tree-house structures. The failing sunlight caught Miya’s silver eyes and made them gleam.

“Maybe we can find what we seek here...” She said softly.

She climbed the stairs to the Inn of the Last Home. She walked in and the Barmaid Dezra approached. “Is there anything I can get for you honey?” She asked. Miya regarded Dezra for a moment, her gaze drawing the Dezra in.

“No, thank you... we are merely searching for someone.... Tell us, has anything odd been happening here lately?” She asked, her voice velvet soft. Dezra shook her head, then blinked...once, twice, a look of puzzlement crossed her face before she turned away from Miya. Miya sighed and sat down next to the hearth. She looked around the common room of the inn. She notices that a few of the patrons where gazing at her curiously, but when she looked up, they promptly looked away.

She turned her gaze back to the fire, her eyes reflecting the flames. She pulled on the silk ribbon and brought the crystal flute to her lips. A haunting melody filled the common room; as a soft, lilting feminine voice filled their minds.

Bounce, Bounce
The orb of destiny
And feel its warmth
Destiny gathers in my crimson world.

Bounce, Bounce
An unknown fate
And a longing heart

Whose destiny? (whose destiny?)
Your destiny? (My destiny?)
My destiny? (Your destiny?)
Soundly drops the head that once dreamt

Whose destiny? (Whose destiny?)
Your destiny? (My destiny?)
My destiny? (Your destiny?)
Round and round the souls go

Where will it go? (I don’t know)
What does it follow? (I don’t know)
What does it wish for? (It wishes for eternity)

As the last note faded, Miya raised her eyes, and noted that she now had everyone’s attention. “Tell us, has there been any odd happenings around here?” She asked. Only one man nodded... Miya was at his side before he could blink. “Tell us.” She whispered.

“Northwest of here, the city of Haven, there have been several reports of kidnappings.... None of the young women have been found.” The man blinked, his mouth opened to say more, but the girl was gone. All the patrons blinked in confusion for a moment, then went on as if nothing had happened...save one person...
Miya walked away from the inn, mulling over the man’s answer. She wandered till she reached the Crystalmir Lake. Lunitari and Solinari’s light reflected in its waters.

“What’s is a pretty young lady like you doing out here at this hour?” Came a sneering voice. Miya turned slowly, showing no surprise, or fear. This momentarily shocked the bandit but he shook it off.

Miya smiled. “The same as you.... Stealing....” She said softly, ominously. The bandit’s eyes narrowed, his lip curled in a sneer. “Why, you little brat!” He spat, and rushed her. Miya slipped sideways, her cloak flowing loose behind her, catching the bandit’s legs, tripping him.

He knelt there, momentarily stunned. Miya had knelt by his side. “It’s all right.... You’re forgiven...” She whispered as she kissed him gently on his throat. The bandit’s eyes opened wide in shock then closed slowly. Miya let him go and stood, allowing him to fall into the leaves.

A thin line of blood marred her pale skin, and she wiped it away. She turned her head back towards the town, noting that someone had followed her. Her silver eyes flashed in the moonlight, and she turned her back on the intruder.... And walked away into the darkness heading towards HavenWe dare to ask for more

Naught but the lilting laughter
The soft breeze dancing
upon distance shores
Wary the locked doors
of ramshackled homes creaking
the signs of oncoming slaughter

Nightmarish dreams beholden
upon ancient prophecies passed
Life's essence ebbing
Ever flowing
velvet carpet wrapped
As the shadows bidden.

"Is it me or is this weather turning in for the worse?"

Adrian adjusted his opaqued spectacles as he he made his way amongst the trees of beautiful Solace, though a chill wind played lightly on the nape of his neck, a forbodding feeling suddenly springing from the dark recesses of his imaginings...

"Ooof, sorry, didn't see you there...Ummm, is this your knife?"

Adrian looked up the young woman, though, what was a young woman doing walking around near Solace, specially since the deepening darkness of night has descended...

"I'm quite sorry, just an old habit." I thought I was alone in the dark... Now, I Know I am Alone In the Dark... Marc

Miya stared at Adrian for a moment, her silver eyes bright. "No, It is not ours...you may keep it if you like." She turned, and continued on her way....

her mind worked as she walked. "this "Haven" sounds like just the place for this stray to head for...." She whispered softly..

OOC: She's not ignoring you ;) it's just her mannerisms...if you want to join...you must have the persistance of a Kender to stay with her ;)We dare to ask for more

Miya had finally entered the city of Haven. The half-Kender Adrian continued behind her...chatting ceaslessly. Through their all night walk, Miya began to grow fond of him. She now smiled and even laughed once....though the sound surprised her.

As they passed through the gates, the city guard glanced at one another...pointed at the pair, and one guard nodded, while the other approached them.

"What is your business here? He asked. Before any of them could react...Miya stepped forward, her peircing silver gaze silencing the guard. "My friend and I are only passing through..." She said, almost too softly for Adrian to hear...yet the gaurd musht have heard something, and he seemed almost ready to protest... Abruptly, his eyes went blank, and he made no move to stop them when they passed him by.

Once inside, Miya heard the two guards start to argue. She watched them for a moment, smiled and then turned back towards the heart of the city.We dare to ask for more

( O.O )

"Wow! How did you do that? It's sooo cool. I wish I could do that so I don't have to crawl into cities through the sewers anymore. Did I tell you the story of the time when I had to crawl underneath the city of Xak Tsaroth? Yes? Awww... Ok... Ummm... What are we doing here again?"

( -.- )"

Adrian's gaze wandered back and forth and to and fro looking for some sane reason why they are in Haven. To kenders, a sane reason isn't need though...

His incessant babbling stopped altogether as he pulled on Miya's cloak.

"That man in the shadows has been following us for the last six miles. I don't like the way he looks... His movements are too...fluid..." I thought I was alone in the dark... Now, I Know I am Alone In the Dark... Marc

OOC: Darkmaster, Get your butt in here! I need you to play Sherinmosu...Same as we have it in the Three Moon's thread k?

BIC: Miya turned, her silver eyes bright in the sunlight...there....a flash of platinum hair, blood red eyes....another breath...and he was gone. "So the game begins Sherinmosu...." And she turned back to Adrian.

"don't worry about him.... I'll be taking care of him soon enough. That is why where are here Adrian..."We dare to ask for more

The half kender nodded and adjusted his cloak, his hands darting to a small pouch that hung from his waist.

"Heh, I guess we would have a very interesting evening..." I thought I was alone in the dark... Now, I Know I am Alone In the Dark... Marc

A figure stood leaning against the wall of the place, blue eyes wandering over the people and things. A strange lade had walked in, none of which the likes of he'd seen before. He glared at her, picking himself off the wall to speak, only to run splat into a kender..but not quite all there..he growled.

"Might you watch where you're headed kender? You might run in the wrong direction next time." He mumbled, his elvish voice running thinly along the loud humans and other creatures. He quickly made his way to her from there, giving a small tap on the shoulder.

"Excuse me, I have yet to see you around these parts. Are you a traveller?" He gave a small grin and a bow, his brown-blondie streaked hair falling past his shoulders.

"If so, I welcome you."I hadn't known him well but now i wish I had...
I'll never be able to let it go...never have a life of my own...
Don't worry...you'll be avenged. ~Cain (Unnamed story)
