OOC: Over countless centuries, time and time again, evil has tried its best to overthrow the forces of good and rule the world of Krynn. And everytime evil has failed, defeated by good and turned upon itself as is in its nature. But what would happen if evil truely succeeded? What would the world be like if evil finally defeated good and Takhisis had true control of the world? This is the first of two threads I want to create to see what it would be like if evil had the upper hand for once. The first part will be the victory of evil over good, and if this thread goes well, the second part will be the world of evil that it creates. Anyone is free to join in as always, but remember evil will succeed in the end. Happy hunting.

Darkness stood on the hillside overlooking Solanthas, his army of the dead stood at his command. He raised a slender hand and motioned for his general to come forth, the great Lord Soth. Darkness and Soth stood side by side, both had hated the Solamnics with a passion, and both tingled with anticipation of their upcoming victory. Darkness waited, his red eyes all that were visible beneath his black hood, glowed with the fires of the abyss. Soths eyes glowed nearly as red, hungering for the souls of the brave Solamnics, which would soon join his ranks. Darkness pulled back his hood, letting his long black hair whip behind him in the steady breeze. "It is time," he stated to himself. He raised his hands in the air and the words of magic came to him, the magic coursed through his body and bubbled like fire in his blood. He began to chant, a great cloud formed over the great citadel before him. His words sped up, and the cloud grew faster and lightning began to course through the storm. The first bolt struck an observation tower, shattering it as if it were made of glass. A thousand more bolts struck down upon the city collapsing towers, shattering walls and battlements, killing hundreds of knights in the process. And then, as quickly as it started, the storm stopped. "Now my friend, you may do as you will."

Soth bellowed a command to his army and they surged forward as if they were one being. Thousands of zombies, wights, skeleton warriors, wyverns, wraiths, and dracolichs marched towards the ruined battlements of the great city of Solanthas. Darkness knew the Solamnics did not stand a chance against even half this army, but his queen had demanded a statement upon all of Krynn. The knights would be slaughtered, and this massacre would fuel the war. Today marked the beginning of the end. The reign of evil had begun, and nothing could stop them this time. Soon the darkness would fall, and good would fall with it.Having her as a friend is just as good as having her as a lover, but I would love to cherish her as both.

Targ Bellowgranite and his army of ogres waited patiently behind a low hillside. His army wasn't large, maybe numbering in the low hundreds. But the Solamnic army that was marching down the road was much bigger. But Targ had the advantage of suprise. Targ himself was a large Ogre, with a sickly green coloring to his molting skin. His face was flat and brutish, two long teeth protruded from his lower jaw and crossed his upper lip. There were few who weren't awed by Targ's appearance. He had won the position of head of the army by shear force and brutallity. He wasn't afraid of anyhting, especially those who followed him. He was a leader through and through.

"Here they come," he rumbled in a low voice. Behind him, he was happy to hear the quite scraping of armor, the banging of swords and axes. It was time. Here was when the Ogre army would decimate another part of the Solamnic army. They were being fools, Targ thought to himself. Any sensible army would have sent ahead riders to check for ambush. But the Solomnics felt safe, this was their territory after all. Things were changing, Targ could feel it. Targ knew that he and his ogre army were going to play a large part in the future.

Targ adjusted his own longsword that hung from his hip. It was a massive sword. It would have taken two hands to hold even on the largest human, but Targ held it with one. He grabbed the sword by its hilt and pulled it out of its scabbard slowly.

"Ready," Targ whispered. "NOW!" He bellowed and stood up to run over the hillside. His army followed him with a massive war cry. The Solamnics were caught by suprise, but it didn't take them long to regroup. But it was too late, Targ's army was already on them.

With a smile on his broad toothy face, Targ slashed apart Knights here and there, laughing as he was sprayed by their blood. Boredom's not a burden anyone should bear.

Michealis Durannon sat atop his horse on a nearby hilltop, overlooking the devestation being rained down on the beleagured city of Solanthas. His dark blue cloak was ruffled by the wind, billowing slightly around his boots. His face had a look of grim satisfaction, although there was a hint of sadness in his blue eyes.

Poor, light-blinded fools. They should have known from before the beginning. They were good men, I'm sure, not so unlike my own people. Regrettable, really...

Another horseman galloped up, this one armored, his breastplate bearing the Mark of the Black Lilly. The armored man saluted crisply and waited.

"Erren, are the Knights assembled?"

"Yes, Lord. The full garrison awaits your command."

Excellent.

Michaelis' head snapped around, his eyes fixing on his subordinate. "Inform the commanders that they may begin their occupations at once. Destroy any resistance, but keep other deaths to a minimum; we shall need good workers if the Great Queen's ideal is to be realized. Move out, for the glory of Her Highness!"

Wordlessly, the messanger saluted and galloped off towards where the Knights of Neraka waited. Lord Duranon, however, spurred down the hill towards the Queen's banners, where he knew that Darkness had to be.

It is time for a conference, if we're going to have something left to rule after this."Eyes that fire and sword have seen,

and trees and hills they long have known."

Vargan stood at Targ Bellowgranite side, Targ’s second-in-command. Vargan hummed silently to himself as he beat his axe hard against his bone-plated shield in preparation for battle. His dark hair flowing in the slight sultry breeze left playful shadows across his face. He wasn’t particularly smart but he knew this was foolishness. A few hundred against, god knows how many silver-clad knights. But no one spoke any contradictions to Targ’s commands. No one.

Targ issued the command and they were off over the hill. The cries of the vultures could already be heard mimicking the war cries. Death was omened and yet they still carried on.

Vargan came down hard with his axe against an inspecting Knight, slicing through metal and flesh against his shoulder blade. Another kill was all it amounted to, but his ugly face still held that ghastly smile. 'Hey, Tom Bombadil! Whither are you going?'
said fair Goldberry. 'Bubbles you are blowing,
frightening the finny fish and the brown water-rat,
startling the dabchicks, and drowning your feather-hat!'

Thousands of dwarves huddled together in the vast underground council room of Thorbadin.

" What are we supposed to do now! The Dark Queens armies are taking over Krynn as we speak! It is only a matter of time for the dark armies to find a way through our unbeatable gates!" The senate dwarf shouted amongst the people.

" Order! Order!" roared Fordin, the head of the council. " Have you no faith! There is still hope!" The mass of dwarves began to yell at this comment.

" Where in bloody Reorx is that?!" shouted one dwarf.

" We will travel to Darken Wood!" shouted Fordin above all the shouts.

" Your a fool to trust the other races! Especially the undead!" shouted a female from the crowd, this rose many cheers.

" Do you not understand?! The Forest Master will aid us, not the undead! The unicorns and the centaurs have not seen many wars, but i believe that is because they are feared by the Dark Queen. We will send volunteers to travel to Darken Wood. On this table in front of me is a list. Those who wish to volunteer, sign your name, then go get ready for the journey that will save Krynn!" Fordin shouted. However, nobody moved.

The crowd began to stir as a male dwarf clad in armor stepped forth. He held a large silver axe and a horned helmet. He carried the most astonishing dwarven shield strapped to his back. His hair was a cloud white as was his beard.

" I will go!" shouted Borwa. He walked up the steps, his old legs in great pain. He remembered the days when he was healthy and commanded great dwarven armies. He would not hide in a tunnel when his help was needed. His mind was made up, he was going. His aged hands grabbed the feather pen and began to sign his name on the top of the list.

OOC: I would love for people to play the other dwarves. Only about two or three more. :)

OOC: Just so everyone knows, Darkness is the head of the Takhisis's armies. Lord Soth is his second in command. I will leave the rest of the generals up to you guys, but remember evil WILL win. But I do appreciate the attempt at resistance.

BIC: Darkness stood on the hilltop and watched with great satisfaction at the destruction of the solamnics. Everywhere he looked the knights fought on, even though they were outnumbered and outmatched. "They are persistant, Ill give them that." Soth nodded his head in approval, as his men all but wiped out the great city of Solanthas.

Darkness laid his hands upon a large stone, on the ground before him. He once again spoke the words of the arcane and the stone began to flash in brilliant colors. Then the colors developed into five: red, blue, green, black, and white. Those colors melted together, and upon the stones surface the great Takhisis appeared. "My queen, Solanthas is no more. What are your orders now."

"You have done well my child, the destruction of Solanthas will spread fear to all the races of Krynn. All over Krynn your armies have succeeded in the initail assault. Now the time has come to push the forces of good completely off the northwest portion of the continent. You know what to do next. My blessing goes with you, do not fail me." The colors in the stone then faded. Darkness did know what would come next, and he couldnt wait to take his tower back from Dalamar. The next assault would take place in the great city of Palanthas, and from there the rest of Krynn.

Targ looked at the corpses with a smile on his thick face. His second-in-command stood next to him cleaning his bloody weapons on a dirty cloth. Targ nodded his approval. The ogre had fought well. Sure, his army had lost quite a few. His forces were fewer than the knights to start out, but they still won, amazingly. He didn't know how. They should have been decimated. But he somehow knew they could come out on top.

"That was a bloodbath," he mumbled with a smile.

"Vargan, gather the troops. Tell them to stop hacking the corpses apart. We are leaving. We march." He pat the slightly smaller ogre on the shoulder and shooed him off.

Targ looked over the blood-soaked battlefield. There were dead bodies everyhwere. Knights and ogres alike. His army had lost close to fifty of its number. That seriously cut down on there force. They would have to get more fighters.

"Vargan! Tell them we march on Silvanost. I have a feeling something big is going to happen there. We are going to be needed. After that..who knows...maybe Qualinost?" he smiled and walked over the hill to look towards Silvanost, the next destination. Targ could feel a tug inside of him. What was this? The large ogre didn't know...But maybe he would learn more when he reached Silvanost.

Hopefully on the way there, they could swell the numbers of their army.

OOC: Dark Dalamar, heres a little help. And remember, your queen loves you.

BIC: A storm cloud then formed over head, and that cloud took shape into a hideous five headed dragon. "Targ," the word bellowed like thunder from the heavens. "Your devotion to my cause is appreciated, remember that your queen loves you. There is a favor I must ask of you. Travel through the ogre lands and build me an army. Once you have accomlplished this I deem that you travel to the outskirts of Silvanost. When you arrive, I will assist you on the destruction of those accursed elves and their precious homeland. Today marks the rise of the ogre race above all others on Krynn. Do not fail me, or the next time we meet I will destroy you and your precious army." Vargan shivered as he saw and felt the Dark Queen’s power. He knew she was with them when they totally destroyed the army two times their size. His thoughts went to the loot, but all the riches never amount as much to killing those foul beasts that were stuck to the bottom of his worn leather sandals.

And in an everlasting curse that heated his blood once again, he spoke: “The Irda shall pay!” He shouted out the orders Targ had given him and then the rain began to pour.

Michaelis, riding down, saw the magical communication begin near Darkness and Soth and checked his mount. He had the favor of his Queen, but he knew better than to stray into a private meeting.

As the magic faded, he reared his horse and sped downwards.

"Firstlord Darkness!" Michaelis bowed to Darkness from his saddle as his purple robes settled, though he did not more than glance at Soth's ghastly figure. "The Knights of Keraka are moving as planned. We shall occupy and subdue every village and town from here to Palanthas. Targ, Vargan, and the rest of the ogre army trudged confidently through the hills of the ogre lands. They were coming upon Blode, one of the biggest Ogre settlements of all. Here they army would swell to massive numbers. All ogres wanted to kill, it was in their blood. And now, with the Dark Queen's favor, they would be more than happy to follow Targ.

Targ walked ahead of his army. He did not like to hide in the middle from his enemies. He was usually the first to take the field, and the last to leave. His second, Vargan, was almost the same. They were both rutheless and bloodthirsty, they wanted to make their queen happy.

"Vargan, How many soldiers do you think would be needed to take Silvanosti? I don't want to leave the ogre lands with a weak force. But, we have the Dark Queen. I can feel her in here." he touched his large chest.

"We can't stay here long, whatever the case. We must march. I want the soldiers on best behavior though. No, plundering or butchering without my command. You have my permission to kill anyone who does not follow my orders." He rested a warted hand on Vargan's shoulder. "From now on, our race only rises. We will rule, Vargan. We will have a part in the rulership of Krynn." He smiled, showing yellow teeth.

He let his daydreams get the best of him. He pictured himself slaughtering the innocents with his large sword. They were all beneath him. The ogres were Takhisis' favorite, in Targ's mind. Nothing could stop them now.

A figure appeared in the middle of the already defeated battlefeild. "Hmm.. impressive." His horse walked around all those that were still on the battlefield. He saw the army ahead of him and he mad his horse go to the army. "I wish to speak to a commandeer of this army."

A dark knight came up to him and said "Why should we tell you?" The figure looked at the knight. "Because i have a message for Darkness." The knight hesitated. "Give me the message and I will take it to him."

"Didn't you just here me knight." The figure's black cloak started flapping behind him as his rage increased. "How dare you disobey a command?" The knight backed away at the dark mages power. "I am sorry, he is over there." The knight pointed to the hill were three were already talking.

The figure's cloak stopped flapping behind him as his rage decreased. "Thank you dark knight. Carry on." The figure lead his horse up to the hill and stopped by Lord Soth and Darkness. "I am sorry to disturb you my lords but a group of knights has gotten a secret message out to the other peolpe of Krynn and are now heading this way with a pathetic looking army they came up with." The mage looked Darkness in the eyes. He was a little afraid of Darkness but not a much as the Dark Queen. Her power inspired him and yet made him also be loyal to her.

OOC: No other good guys? Darkness i know that evil will WIN. Im just making a great addition to the post. If everyones evil, theres no fun, it'll just get boring really fast. If no more posters are gonna be good, i guess ill just go alone. YOU COWARDS!

IC: Borwa opened the door to his room in the underground city. He strapped his axe on his back, put on his helmet, and put his small pack on his back.

Borwa, the elder warrior, walked through the corridors leading to the famous gates. It appeared he was the only one going on this journey. He did not care. He hated them for being cowards, even sometimes believing that evil has corrupted their minds and destroyed all hope. Borwa would not fall to darkness.

The walk to the gates seemed like a mile, even though it was only about thirty yards. Dwarves aligned on the walls and bid him farewell. He did not want to leave the protection on Thorbadin, but he had to, for Krynn.

He took his first step outside and looked back to the mass of dwarves. The gates slammed the moment he turned. He sighed and continued on.

After walking for about an hour in the Plains of Dust, Borwa saw a man on a horse. He got closer and Borwa realized it was a knight of Solomnia. He was holding his ribs and panting, the knight stopped in front of the dwarf.

" The armies..........they......they destroyed it.....all of it!" The knight fell off his horse and Borwa then noticed the blood dripping from his side.

Borwa took out a handerchief and rest the man down on the ground. The knight opened his eyes.

" Who are you? What was destroyed?!" Borwa asked in great anticipation.

" I am Malik ( ma-leek), Knight of the Rose. Solomnia, it has been destroyed by the dark armies. I remember it like a dream. Zombies and skeletons crawling over the great walls. Dead things everywhere!" the knight was freaking out.

"Solomnia! Destroyed!" Borwa looked in the direction of the very distant city. He hoped to see signs of war. What has plagued Krynn this time?

OOC: Queeshu, I guess they are all afraid of death. I dont blame them much though, but I admire your courage.

BIC: Darkness heard the message of the small Solamnic army heading their way. "We will not worry about this rag-tag bunch, the dark queen will make sure none survive their march. Now we head to the High Clerists Tower, it will fall by our hands. It is the only obstacle in our conquest of Palanthas. But do not fear, it will be a quick victory for our reinforcements."

Darkness looked to the eastern horizon as did the rest of the men, a small patch of black in the clear sky marred the horizon. The black patch grew and grew every moment, until distinct figures took shape. Dragons, thousands and thousands of dragons headed in their direction. Many of the men cowered in the wake of the dragonfear, which was more powerful than any felt on Krynn before. Red, Black, Blue, Green, White: the colors streaked across the sky like a hideous rainbow. "As you all can see, our queen has been keeping a secret army from us all. These dragons have not seen Krynn since the age of Starbirth, and they are more than willing to take it back as their home." A large red dragon, the largest present being nearly 200 feet long from snout to tail, swooped down and landed near Darkness. Darkness mounted the great wyrm, and motioned to his generals to mount other dragons that landed nearby. "On to the Clerists tower Deathsurge, it will be a massacre we both will enjoy." The great wyrm took flight, shaking the ground for miles around from its weight. I think we need to conquer in large. Maybe, Korerak from Bloten can help us out. I know you and he has been not the best of friends, but leave that aside for now if you will."

Vargan looked to the west, the lands that gave death to the sun. His stench caught wind and flew to the south. "You have my complete support, Targ. And yes we shall defeat all. The Dark Queen may bless us."Up woke Willow-man, began upon his singing,

11/08/2002 6:06 AM

OOC: Queshu, I'll do what I can to help you out, okay?

BIC: Airiana, the last of the Silver/Red hybrid Dragons flew high above the clouds. Ducking below the clouds, she saw a Dwarf alone in the Plains of Dust with a seemingly dying Solomniac(SP?) Knight and a horse standing to the side of them. Hoping not to startle them, she made for a landing.

Softly, she landed a few hundred feet away from the Human and Dwarf. The horse, first to feel the Dragonfear, whined and edged closer to the dying Knight.

Airiana stood an impressive 200 feet tall and 250 feet long. She was a large and ancient wyrm of a breed long since extinct. Except for her, that is.

She walked as quietly as is possible for a Dragon of her size over to the pair of mortals, disregarding the horse who let out a noise of terror at her approach. "May I help thee?" She asked, speaking in Solomniac to the Knight. "I can heal you."

Turning to the Dwarf, she switches to Dwarven to speak to him. "What brings thou mortals here? Thee shouldst be deep underground! Do thou not know that the Dark Forces are on the verge of controlling Krynn? They shall slay thee without a second thought!"

The large Dragon shook her head and awaited a reply from either of the mortals. She was bound and determined to save the good races of Krynn, but she could not do so if they did not help themselves.

Darkness mounted the great wyrm, and motioned to his generals to mount other dragons that landed nearby.

Lord Duranon's eyes narrowed... had he just been snubbed by the rest of the commanders? He suspected so, and was not at all pleased. Raising a hand, he shouted loudly to the air in some aincient tounge, calling out to the multihued wind above. One blue dragon detatched itself from the mass and circled down to meet him nearby.

While it was true that one of Darkness' huge wyrms would probably have made a stronger mount for the Knight Commander, he did not trust the things. With Lancer, he knew that he need have no such concerns. The dragon had been reared by his family in secret for many years, and though Michaelis now no longer technically owned the Blue, he knew that the dragon still held some loyalty to the Duranons.

Leaping onto the Blue's back with words of greeting, the Knight shouted and Lancer lept skywards."Eyes that fire and sword have seen,

"Now destroy that wretched monument, the only remnant of the humans petty desire to destroy your kind. Without the dragon orb, it is powerless. Do as you will Deathsurge, let the knights feel your wrath."

Deathsurge swooped in low, and breathed out a cone of flames that engulfed the front gates of the tower, instantly melting them to dust. The rest of the dragons followed their leaders attack, each using their breath weapon to decimate the hated tower. Minutes had passed, but to the solamnics it had to have seemed like hours. The entire tower was destroyed, burnt and bloody bodies littered the remains of walls and towers. Darkness could still hear the screams of the knights as the dragons breath engulfed the entire tower, he loved the sound of their pleading voices. Lord Duranon might have been angry with this assignment under other circumstances. After all, occupying the land was normally the job of the common army, not noble knights. But the forces of the Dark Queen had no regular standing army, save that is, for the legions of Soth. Michealis would not have left the people to their tender mercy under any circumstances. Keeping their honor, the Knights of Neraka had taken to the task of subjegating the population as peacably as possible. After all, workers and worshipers would still be necessary even after this campaign was over.

This was not to say that there had not been violence. Resistance arrose, and where it did, the Knights were swift and deadly. For the most part, however, the people of Krynn had realized their ultimate doom, and had submitted for the sake of their lives. The Queen's forces now controlled a great deal of the land, but as Michaelis followed Darkness' path, he began to see disturbing signs.

Landing on the outskirts of an area of rubble, he dismounted Lancer and surveyed the former village. By the Great Dark, was this necessary? There would have been no way for people such as these to offer resistance to the main fleet- why were they killed? Blight, Darkness, your flyby alone would have made them easy enough for me to mop up afterwords, and you couldn't wait?? I am too late now... but perhaps not elsewhere.

Running, Michaelis lept onto Lancer and the pair darted skywards, headed for Palanthas. Although the fleet likely had a day's lead on the Knight, they would need to rest soon, and Lancer was far faster than most of the other wyrms."Eyes that fire and sword have seen,

The mage said something and the black dragon swooped down and as the dragon did the dark mage jumped on its back and headed to the direction were the rest of the army was heading. Targ in lead and Vargan not far behind, they left the battlefields and went deep into the Kalkhist Mountains. The ogres fed upon the small mountain deer and ram that were not to hard to find since their army was small. They bypassed Thoradin and left for small ogre villages to recruit others to their cause.

Targ gave them encouraging speeches and almost all males were driven to their side like flies to dung. They travel further and deep into the caves and tunnels of ogre society, far behind normal civilization.

Vargan looked up at the southern sky and spat a prayer to his Queen. They were five or six days away from Bloten, as the seeds of evil were planted throughout the land. Life is a journey, and with every step we reach a point of no return.

The mountains seemed to never end, stretching as far as Darkness's eyes could see. He wanted nothing more than to take back his home and complete his mission to his queen, but Palanthas was still in his way. After several hours travel the grand city came into view. Darkness instructed Deathsurge to land and let him off. The rest of the dragons followed suit, all landing a couple of miles south of the main gate. "We will enter the city on foot, do not kill all the citizens for the queen will need slaves in her grand city. If any resist, make an example of them and make it bloody."

The dragons flew in first, they did not attack but only spread panic and fear by their presence. The army of Palanthas stood at the gates waiting for the assault. The Palanthas army outnumbered Darkness's army nearly three to one, but that soon changed. Soon after Soth dismounted his dracolich he called to the spirits of the dead to rise. Nearly three thousand skeletons pulled themselves from the ground, descendents of the city of Palanthas turned against their home one by one.

"It is bitter irony that the founding fathers of this city will be the ones to lead it into darkness." Darkness let a smile marr his face, but he quickly let it pass. The army of Palanthas dropped their arms and surrendered without a fight. "Onward my soldiers, there is much to be done. Occupy the city, and quickly. No one but myself and Soth are to be permitted into the tower without my authorization. Tonight the world will be ours, for tonight I will release the Dark Queen from her eternal prison. She will once again enter this world to rule over all. May she have mercy on all our souls." Darkness made his way into the city, that smile once again creeping onto his visage, but this time he let it last for a moment. He would finally get his revenge on all the mortals of Krynn.Having her as a friend is just as good as having her as a lover, but I would love to cherish her as both.

The ogre armies marched to the sound of beating drums and cries of soon-to-be victories. The mountains seemed to moan beneath their weight.

Their ranks were filling and the confidence was overbearing. They were still two days away from Bloten and their ranks have swelled to about five hundred strong.

Targ met with Vargan last night, and told him to lead the armies onward to their destination. Targ said he had some errands to run and that he would be back in good time.

A troop of sivak draconians gave word that they were on their way to join their armies as well. Nothing but good news, so far. But only time would tell.

Vargan packed his stuff after supper and gathered his troops. He had cut his long hair in symbolism of their victory over the other races of Krynn. The Dark Queen had given them a vison that night and they were better for it. It gave them purpose and order to their chaotic ranks. Vargan traveled southward to Bloten without another thought.Life is a journey, and with every step we reach a point of no return.

OOC: If you dont want to continue then dont, we are all just letting our pent up frustration out. All we ever read about is good winning, now evil (thats us) will finally have our way.

BIC: Darkness made his way up the spiral staircase like he did so many years ago. "Has it really been that long? It seems like only yesterday that I was forced out of this tower by Dalamar." The staircase seemed to go on forever, but he had gotten used to it over the years. Now that he was the master again he could have told the tower to teleport him to the top, but the memories were too great to ignore and he preferred to check out every level. Everything was as it was when he had left. Finally after what had seemed like hours he reached the top of the tower, and the great oaken doors of the laboratory of Raistlin Majere. "My master, it has been far too long. I have missed you, the only man with as much hatred of humanity as myself. Soon our dreams will become reality."

Darkness slowly opened the door to the laboratory, and as he suspected nothing was out of place. His eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness of the room, but the light emating from the corner gave him more than enough to see by. The light came from under a small curtain hung on the far wall of the room. He headed to the curtain and opened it, and before him he saw what he had come for. The portal to the abyss, carved of solid gold with five dragon heads adorning its surface. Each head represented the orders of the chromatic dragons. The portal had been partially activated, just like his queen had promised, all he needed to do was to open the door and let her armies in. He began to chant an ancient spell, not heard since Raistlin himself opened the portal many years ago. Each of the five dragon heads became animated, and began to chant with Darkness. The surface of the portal began to shimmer and swirl with the five colors of evil, until they joined into one. The spell was complete, the portal was opened, the world was now hers.Having her as a friend is just as good as having her as a lover, but I would love to cherish her as both.

As the dark mages dragon soared over head his dragon sensed another dragon.. a good dragon perhaps? He let his dragon have its way and within seconds he saw a dragon, a knight, and a dwarf. "It seems we have found our selves a group of saviors to the land of Krynn." "No matter they will not succeed." "Let us take care of them shall we?"

The dragon nodded it's head and it dove down and landed 15 feet from the three. The dark mage walked over to the group and looked at each one very closely. The dragon would be hard to take down but he would do it. The dwarf seemed to old to fight and the knight seemed badly injured. "It seems you want to try and save Krynn?"

"Well then lets see if you can do it." The mage pulled out a sword. "If you defeat me I shall join you in your little attempt." "And if you lose, I will kill you." "Far enough." "To make sure that I join you I will do a spell which will turn me into a light mage."

The mage said some words in a long forgotten language. "Now if you defeat me, I will become a light mage and I will help you in your quest."

Targ bellowed as he lopped of the head of the human. This human wasn't a knight, just a simple peasant that had been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Normally, Targ wouldn't care about just one human. But this one was threatening to run to the Knights of Solamnia and confess the true might of the Ogre army.

And mighty it was. The army had swelled to massive proportions while they marched through the Ogre lands. Targ and Vargan had done an excellent job raising an army for the march on Silvanesti. They were only a day away from the elven lands now. But they were going to need help. Targ waited for a sign from his Queen, somtehing that would tell him it was ok to enter the Elven lands. Many Ogre armies had tried to take the elven kingdoms before and all had met with utter defeat. The elves were masters at woodlore, they would attack the armies from all sides with their arrows, seriously demorilizing the enemy.

But times were different now. Targ had the help of his queen and a massive army behind him. He called a halt on a ridge overlooking the massive forest. He turned and looked at Vargan.

"There it is, there is where we must march now. Tell the soldiers to make camp here. We will let them sweat awhile.' Vargan nodded and marched off to spread the word.

Targ looked over the woods silently. He would march. They would take Silvanesti, he had no fear of that. But when, and where. Only his Queen could say. Boredom's not a burden anyone should bear.

"Yes, General." Vargan looked up at the night sky, light clouds floated quickly northwest. The time was almost near, he could almost feel it in his blood.

The troop of sivak dracoians had yet to make appearance, but it mattered little to him, the ogres were a mighty force to reckon with already. The ogres seemed confident and the supper they had was a welcoming feast.

"Targ, when will we attack? The night fades away and it looks like it might rain." Life is a journey, and with every step we reach a point of no return.

OOC: Ok, soaring eagle, please try to follow at least some of the rules of DL. Mages do not use swords if they are high level mages (i.e. those that have taken the test). So if your character is a high level mage you cannot weild a sword. If this were the fifth age I would give you a little sway with it, but please try to follow the DL guidelines.

BIC: The woods of Silvanesti had been free of invaders for too long, and Takhisis knew this must change. After being freed from her eternal prison she left Darkness with her instructions and headed out to spread havoc over Krynn. Her first stop was the precious home of her brothers most loved children. Her great ogre army was now complete, and all she had to do was start their fire, so to speak. She looked down from the heavens and glanced at those blessed forests. With a snap of her fingers the forests turned to flames, starting at the borders and progressing slowly to the center. The fire consumed all, and destroyed much of the forests of the Silvanesti. "Now those accursed elves will be my slaves. Only the few that choose to serve me will survive."

"LISTEN NOW, YOU WRETCHED BEINGS," she shouted upon the land, "YOUR TIME IS OVER, YOUR GOD IS POWERLESS TO STOP ME. SERVE ME AND MY ARMIES MAY LET YOU LIVE. DEFY ME AND YOU WILL SUFFER FOR ALL ETERNITY." The surviving elves trembled in fear as their precious forests burned around them, Paladine could not save them now. The rain that Vargan predicted began to fall. It settled many of the blazes that his Queen, Takhisis, had started in the woods. Targ knew that all of the Elves wouldn't be dead from such an attack. But it would definately weaken them. Targ also knew that many of his soldiers would die in this attack, but they would come out on top.

"Vargan, ready the troops. We march!" Targ bellowed.

It didn't take long for the army to get ready. The crude tents were brought down, the cook fires left burning. There was little else to do. With much bellowing and laughing, the Ogres began their march.

Targ and Vargan marched side-by-side into the Elven Woods. They would be at the fore-front of the attack, but something told Targ they would be ok. The ashy ground turned to a sloshing mud as the army entered the forest. Many of the trees were little more than smoldering sticks, but the ogres grew wary. This was still enemy territory, and a very dangerous enemy at that.

Targ kept his massive sword out and ready. The rest of his army followed behind him. They broke tree branches and sloshed through mud, but other than a few mutterings, nothing else was said. The silence was deafining.

Targ looked ahead. He looked towards his conquest. Death lay ahead of them, but with the help of his queen. They would take as many slaves as they could, and they would have to kill few of the precious labor. Boredom's not a burden anyone should bear.

Darkness stared into the pool of seeing, watching as his queen wreaked havoc upon the land. He saw the destruction of the forests of Silvanesti by fire and the ogre armies marching to finish the elves off. He watched as she created a great earthquake that split the homes of the dwarves of Thorbardin asunder. The queen was destroying the great cities of the races of good one by one, leaving few to serve her. This bothered Darkness a bit, why was she even bothering to take over Krynn when none would survive to serve her. If this destruction kept up, only those loyal to Takhisis would survive.

"The queen told me only to watch, but what I am seeing is only turning me against her. I wanted to help her rule the land, but what land will remain after her evil has destroyed all. If she does not stop soon...I will have to stop her. What have I done, why did I let her talk me into this? There are none left to stop her, but I will stop her by myself if I must. Soth, come to me." At his command Lord Soth was at his side. "Soth, I must ask you this, are you loyal to me or to your queen?"

"I was never loyal to her, nor to you. She promised to release me from my eternal torment when she once again walked the lands. She has once again tricked me." Soth thought for a moment over the current situation. "What do you wish me to do?"

"We need to stop her...and I cannot do it without you. I need you to find everyone loyal to me and bring them here, quickly. We have to act while she is occupied with the destruction." Soth quickly vanished from the room to do Darkness's bidding.

"My Lord what do you want?" "I felt Soth calling all that could come." "Has something happened?" He lowered his head. "If you need to know I am loyal only to you. Not to our queen."

" What do you need my Lord?" He stood their waiting to here what was needed of him.

Takhisis crushed all that opposed her, leaving most major cities on Krynn destroyed. She knew that the gods of good were trapped in their great palace in the heavens, which was accredited to her magic. She had free reign over Krynn, and nothing could stop her. But for some strange reason she had a nagging feeling at the back of her neck. Something was not right, and it felt like a bee sting to her. The more she thought about it the more it bothered her. She opened her mind, letting in all around her to search for the answer. "Darkness, that fool. He dares raise his armies against me, he will perish for this."

-----------------

Darkness stood with his armies a few miles south of Palanthas. He knew his queen would come to face him when she figured out that her armies had stopped pillaging the land. He kept his most powerful spells in mind, knowing full well that even with the support of the dragons, defeating Takhisis would be the end of them all. " Thats a big dragon!" Malik whispered to Borwa

" Yes, I know about the great forces of evil! That is why i am out of those blasted tunnels!" Borwa yelled up to the dragon.

" I thank you for your offering of help. You can be a great help to me! I am looking for an army to counter the evil forces. I hear they are going to wipe out Silvanesti. I hope to get to Darken Wood and ask of the Forest Masters aid. Can you fly me there?" Borwa shouted up to Airiana.

Airiana smiled at the knight and with a few words of an ancient magic, he was healed. "Yes," she said quietly. "I am a big Dragon. One of the oldest too."

Then, the Dwarf started yelling. As if her senses were not great enough to hear him if he'd barely whispered! "There's no need to shout! Yes, I can take you there."

Then, the mage arrived...

As the dark mages dragon soared over head his dragon sensed another dragon.. a good dragon perhaps? He let his dragon have its way and within seconds he saw a dragon, a knight, and a dwarf. The mage said some words in a long forgotten language. "Now if you defeat me, I will become a light mage and I will help you in your quest."

Airiana looked coldly at the young mage, for he must have been young.. or very stupid.. to be able to carry a sword. He obviously wasn't strong in magic. She scoffed at the mortal. "Think thee can take I, Airiana, last of the Silver/Red hybrid Dragons, down? Thou must be joking!" With that, Airiana launched into a series of complicated and ancient spells, each one hitting the mage with more force than the last. Before the mage had any time to launch a counterattack, he was already beaten.

"Now, thee tell me that thou wilt join our cause. What of thy companion, the Dragon yonder?"

Darkness waited anxiously for his queen to arrive and deal him his punishment. He did not have to wait long. A great storm formed a mile south of their location, thunder and lightning roared in defiance to their presence. The ground quaked with his queens anger, but he anticipated all this. The spells he had laid on the grounds where his army stood were holding thus far, but his queens magic was far superior to his. Takhisis grew angrier that her magic was not yet crushing her enemies, and she knew that Darkness was the reason for this.

The skies cleared, the heavens opened up, and a great five headed dragon slowly landed in the barren plains. This, the true form of Takhisis, was incredible in size and power. Her body stretched nearly four hundred feet from its claws to the top of her center head. Each sinuous neck ended in a dragons head, one for each of the chromatic colors, white, blue, red, green, and black from left to right. Her body dwarved any other dragon present, and the only thing preventing Darkness's armies from fleeing due to the incredible dragonfear was his magic.

"YOU DARE DEFY ME YOU WRETCHED HUMAN, I GAVE YOU POWER AND MIGHT AND YOU REPAY ME BY TURNING AGAINST ME. YOU WILL DIE A THOUSAND DEATHS FOR THIS DARKNESS, I WILL TORMENT YOUR SOUL FOR ALL ETERNITY."

"Then let it be my queen, but I cannot sit back and watch as you destroy the world we are trying to rule. I will fight you with every ounce of my being, until the last breath is crushed out of my body. Your reign is over my queen, my army WILL destroy you." Darkness pulled his hood back revealing his glowing red eyes and his long grey hair that whipped behind his head. He raised his hands and felt the magic flowing through him, the great god Nuitari was with him this day. His magic soared to a level he had never felt before, he could not lose, the world needed him this day.Having her as a friend is just as good as having her as a lover, but I would love to cherish her as both.

OOC: Well, if no one wants to help me finish this I will do it on my own.

BIC: The dragons swarmed over Takhisis, each unleashing their breath weapons on their queen. Not many of the attacks had much effect on her, she merely swatted them away by the dozens. The undead army of Lord Soth charged her as well, but their attacks were equally as useless. Darkness became concerned that they could not harm the dark queen but his magic was their most powerful weapon at this point. He called upon one of his most powerful spells. "Flames of the Abyss, come to me. Send this demon back to your cold recesses." A great ball of black flames formed between his hands and he hurled it at Takhisis. The fireball struck true, crashing into her great chest sending scales the size of full grown ogres falling. The queen screamed in pain and anger as the blaze continued to eat into her body.

"YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT, I WILL FINISH YOU OFF NOW." Takhisis's five heads spit their breath weapons at Darkness, all at the same time. The acid and the posion mist was repelled by a defensive spell still in place, as was the fire and the ice. But her great lightning bolt bit through his spells and struck him hard in the shoulder. Darkness flew fifteen feet back and was placed unconscious from the impact. Thinking he was no longer a problem she began to assault his armies. She destroyed dragons, undead, and men by the dozens. Her power was unmatched, and Darkness's army was quickly being destroyed. The few that remained quickly retreated back towards Palanthas to seek cover, but the queen would not let them go that easily. For their defiance she would destroy them all. She began to pursue them, but halfway into flight a lightning bolt of massive energy struck her in the chest and forced her to the ground. Darkness stood in her path.

"You may want to kill them, but your fight is with me. I will defeat you alone, and nothing on Krynn will stop me from destroying you this day. In the abyss you may be immortal, but on Krynn you are just bathing in your delusions of grandeur. You can be killed, and I will be the one to do it." Darkness was unsure he could accomplish this feat, but he knew his magic was equal to hers this day. With the god of dark magic behind him he could not lose. He could not let her destroy the world. He would not let her destroy the world.

The dark queen took her human form, that of a beautiful woman with long flowing black hair and dark black eyes that could capture any mans heart. But Darkness was not just any man. Her beauty only made him hate her more. "I think I will face you in this form. I hope you dont mind, but I wanted to present more of a challenge for you."

"It makes no difference to me what form you take, I will destroy you." Darkness held his left arm with his right, hoping the feeling would return to the damaged limb. The arm was dead, he feared but knew this. The lightning bolt had destroyed every tendon in it. He would have to face her with this handicap, and he had to prevail. He summoned all his energy to face her, again he could feel the presence of Nuitati in his being. His god did not want Takhisis to prevail, and Darkness was the only obstacle in her path.

-------------------------------

The battle had lasted hours, each sending their most powerful magics at each other. Each passing second seemed like an eternity for Darkness, he could feel his body becoming drained of energy. He was nearly spent, and Takhisis showed no signs of weakening. Another lightning bolt buzzed past his head, he had almost no time to react when a second struck him in the chest. The pain surged through his body, and a great gaping wound was all that remained. He was dieing, his lifeblood was flowing from him. He had just enough energy for one last spell, the last spell that he would ever cast. "Flames of the abyss, come to me one last time. I give unto you the last of my energy to destroy this foul demon." The black flames formed in his remaining hand, the cost of the spell brought him to his knees. He hurled the flames as his former queen with the last of his strength, and the blaze stuck true. Her body was instantly engulfed in the black flames, the blaze ate through flesh, muscle, and bone. Takhisis screamed her first and last scream of pain. He had won, Takhisis's charred remains blew away into the wind. Darkness collapsed to the ground, never to move again.

-------------------------------

"OPEN YOUR EYES MY CHILD." Darkness awoke to find himself floating in space, and standing near him was an elf with long flowing platinum colored hair, and clad in platinum robes that trailed far behind him. "YOU KNOW WHO I AM, I AM SURE. I MUST THANK YOU FOR DESTROYING MY SISTER, AND RIDDING KRYNN OF HER TERRIBLE PRESENCE. IT WILL TAKE MANY YEARS FOR THE BALANCE TO RETURN, BUT YOU GAVE THE WORLD A SECOND CHANCE. I KNOW YOU HAVE NOT LED A GOOD LIFE, BUT FOR YOUR SACRIFICE I HAVE DECIDED TO GRANT YOU ENTRY TO THE HEAVENS RATHER THAN SENDING YOU TO THE ABYSS. I THANK YOU FOR YOUR DEEDS, AND I HOPE YOU WILL JOIN US IF WE SHOULD EVER NEED YOUR HELP AGAIN."

Darkness thought this over for a moment before responding to Paladines offer. "I thank you kindly for your offer my lord, but I do not deserve to be in your leagues. I only desire one thing for my sacrifice, I wish to spend the rest of eternity with my master. I wish only to be a student of Nuitari for the rest of my existance." Paladine nodded his head in approval and slowly walked away. He would spend the rest of eternity with his master, and for the first time in his life he was truely happy.Having her as a friend is just as good as having her as a lover, but I would love to cherish her as both.

Though his queen meant well, much of Targ's army had been killed during Takhisis's rage against Krynn. They now had many elven slaves, but the forest had not been taken easily. His army had been hit hard by surviving elven archers. It had take quite a long time to flush them out. And there were still pockets of resistance throughout the forest.

Targ sat inside a large tent with Vargan. Both of them didn't talk much. Targ was more tired than he cared to admit. Vargan was laying on his back on the carpeted floor. They had found a tent belonging to the Speaker of the Stars. The tent was massive. Leaving much room for both of the large ogres to stretch out. This was where Targ also held all his military meetings.

"What do we do know?" Targ grumbled. "The forest lays in waste. Our troops are getting killed off everyday. Yesterday Gurrg was attacked by griffons! They found him ripped apart in the clearing to the east."

Targ sighed and stood up and walked to the entrance of the tent. He looked out over the blackened stumps of the forest. He coudl hear fighting in the distance. His troops still battling the elves. "Have we done the right thing?" He asked quietly. Not really expecting and answer..He sighed again and just eyed the surrounding terrain... Boredom's not a burden anyone should bear.

Vargan was silent while listening and pondering Targ’s words. The burning fire within their hearts had died slowly. It had died with death of their Queen. He knew she had left the world and her presence was longed for. But it was never again to return.

The need of existence far outweighed the hunger for power that day. Ogres were dying by the fist fulls. “I think we should leave, Targ . . . Our time has come and long pasted. We should leave.
