A small mariner town, north of Silvanost. The hustle and bustle wasn't disturbed by the arrival of the four-mast ship, her white sails being raised and bundled tightly. Oddly dressed, elvish looking people lowered the plank to the dock.

A young woman smiled and the man by the edge of the plank took her hand with reverence. The woman nodded, and turned, leading a Silver-white stallion down the ramp. The woman was slender and tall. She had long silver hair that was braided down her back. She was dressed finely...in finely woven wool clothing. all dyed in blue or white. A silver circlet graced her brow, small diagonal cutting in the gleaming metal made it glimmer in the cool winter sun. A single Maquee cut sapphire gleamed on the circlet, resting on her forhead. Her ears where delicately pointed, showing some sort of elven decent.

Her blue eyes where alight with her friendliness...only surpassed by her smile. The White stallion followed the woman without hesitation. About seventeen hands tall...poud neck arched to nuzzle the woman. His tail held high like a silver banner. His "Saddle" was little more than a blue leather riding pad, secured by the girth and a shoulder harness. All tooled with little silver stars. He wore a bitless bridal, also in blue, silver tooled leather.

But what surprised people most about him was his startling sky-blue eyes...eyes that where nearly human. The woman stopped for a moment to tie secure the leather saddlebag resting on the stallions shoulders. He wickered and looked back at her in amusement.

This is fun Kynia....I don't get this kind of attention at home... Came a mental laugh in kynia's mind. She did her best to hide her smile and patted Kyel's shoulder.

Well my friend, I don't know many horses in Ansalon that look the way you do. She laughed. Anyway, we might as well head for the taverns...Someone has to have seen Blade around here somewhere...

Kyel snorted and nodded his head, then resumed following Kynia. He'll be surprised with you "Gift" my Queen... and rightly pleased too he said with a deliberate wink.

As he flew up in the sky he noticed a big ship. he transformed into his human self and plunged into the streets. He moved so fast that nobody noticed him come down from the sky. He was a Dragon. While in human form he wore a blue cloak. He loved adventure. He saw a horse and it's rider come off the boat. "That horse must be from Ansalon." He said to himself. He walked a little closer to get a good look at the rider. "Ah, she must be a princess or a queen. " He didn't need to get closer sense his dragon eyes could see from a far way away but, he wanted to seem like he was a human. He then watched the horse and rider move on. He decided to follow sense he thought that this might lead to a adventure.

Kayito walked along the path aimlessly. He was tired, hungry, and somewhat pissed off......Who did that Innkeep think he was?! All i had done was get rid of a few ruffins, but nooo....i'm the one who gets thrown out for it, if i didn't have a conscience the man would be dust......, still muttering to himself, he trudged onwards.

His purple robes dusted the already dusty road, and his staff thudded loudly against the stones.

Kynia teathered Kyel to the railing outside of the inn, knowing that if he needed to, he could slip his bridle without difficulty. She turned and nearly walked into a man in purple robes, her foot tangled suddenly with the staff that he carried, and she fell to the ground.

She made a soft soudn of sudden surprise and pain and turned to look back at the man she had nearly run over. "I am so sorry!" she said as she struggled to stand again.Do you ever question your life?

((OOC:Dark magician, ne? Well then why don't I base my character upon anime characters too? Heheh...Let's see...if I mix Makenshi and Madoushi from Final Fantasy Unlimited, I get...))

Eisen walked the streets, his deep, violet eyes taking in everything that could be used for future reference, his ears taking in anything that could be heard. The once Silvanesti dark-elf walked the streets with a strangely large, cloth covered sword strapped to his back, his cloak in tatters and his once nightblue tunic now an empty black. He didn't like getting attention attracted to himself. The magic sack he wore at his side held his more luxurious clothes and gold and steel; should he ever need the services of some lord for information.

"Speaking of information..." he thought as he looked around for gossip. He'd heard of some dragon in these parts, though that was only an excuse to be near his homeland again. He was well-paid by the Qualinesti as a dragonbane, for very few of the elite elves still survived assassinating dragons for a living.

Eisen sighed and let out a cloud of mist from his mouth. Thinking to himself, he didn't watch where he was going until...

"Well there, elf. You don't look like you're rich but you've got enough meat on yer!" seven Half orcs stood around him like a pack of hungry wolves around a rabbit. He had taken some wrong turn to the 'bad' part of town.

Eisen frowned. The orcs were stinking the smell of his homeland. Speaking in crude Orcish, he said, "Get outta my way before you get hurt."

The half-orcs laughed and each drew some ridiculously large weapon, or even two at once.

Eisen made no move, said no word. Suddenly two of the half-orcs were on the ground, impaled by the sword that hovered in the air above Eisen, who was watching the five other orcs with a bored look.

"Well? Who's next?" One half-orc, carrying two greatswords, lunged at Eisen. Again Eisen just stood there while his sword moved with deadly speed and ferocity.

The orc fell, screaming with a gusto, to the ground, his arms severed. The others seemed to take a hint and ran, leaving their near-dead companions near the elf. Eisen reached out above him and grasped the hilt of his still-covered sword. The cloth covering the blade was soaked with orc-blood.
The cloth slipped away, showing a strange dark blue/black blade.

"Pity..." he murmured, reaching into his magic bag and taking out another nondescript cloth to cover the blade.
"And I didn't even have to hold the sword...Pity." he murmured again.
Strapping the sword again to his back, he retraced his steps back to the open air.

Stretching and looking around, the first thing that caught his eye was a man in purple robes...or maybe purple armor? Eisen felt disgusted. Who in their right mind would go around in attire like that? Likely to attract unwanted people.

Shrugging, he entered the nearby inn...only to find it in commotion.
Taking the arm of a spectator, he asked, "What happened?"
The spectator, a sailor, by his looks, pointed toward a pile of dust.
"Some guy in purple robes lost his temper and decided to make some of his annoyances into dust.

Dust...

Eisen thanked the man and walked out again, this time shooting into the air with such speed that the people around him swore they had seen a ghost. Eisen hovered in the sky a bit, hidden by the clouds and watching the man in purple robes...or maybe it was a dragon in purple robes?

He smiled softly as the large center stone on his sword began to glimmer.
He needed to be sure. Strong as he was, he couldn't stop a truly powerful mage from making him into dust.

The orcs began screaming again as the birds fell to their newfound prey.

Sagar heard the commotion outside his Inn and made his way to the door. The Inn was quiet at this time, his customers wouldnt mind if he took a quick break.

Opening the door, he saw a woman dusting off her clothing, Kayito stood a few paces away. Sagar's blood began to boil, his face in turn became bright red. "Damn you Kayito" he roared. Kayito had never caused trouble in Sagar's Inn, but it was common knowledge that he was the town menace, now the trouble was right outside his door. Sagar stormed inside the inn and fetched the club he kept incase patrons got out of hand. Emerging once again he waved the club menacingly at Kayito, "You'd better start expainin".

OOC: Sagar is human, he is of average height and weight. Brown hair, medium length beard and moustache. He wears a barkeeps attire, since that is his chosen profession. Sagar's history is that he was a mercenary many years ago, one of the most skilled of his time. He was forced into semi-hiding after his guild was raided, and most of its members tortured and killed. In his ten years of running The Salty Barnacle, he has become lethargic and a bit overwieght. He is not as adept with weaponry as he once was.

Is this character ok?

OOC: Sounds good to me.

BIC: Kynia stood up, and Kyel had slipped his bridle as Sagar began to wave his club. The stallion interposed himself between the angered inkeep and Kynia.

Kynia watched for a moment before moving smoothly past Kyel leaning her back against his shoulder.

I wonder what's going on here.... she sent to him mentally.

Kyel's only reply was a mental chuckle and a soft wicker. His blue eyes where fixed on the scene before them. I don't know...but it sounds fun.

Kynia swallowed her laugh and gave the stallion a sharp look. After spending most of your time in the royal stables and the feilds...watching moon fins would probably be fun to you.

Kyel snorted and stamped his right forleg, and Kynia turned her attention back to the arguing duo. "Alright...What is going on here???" she cried, putting her hands up and stepping between them, stopping whatever the two where about to do to each other. She turned her sapphire eyes to Kayito and to Sagar, she stood straight, all of her upbrining in the court of the Kirioyal showing through every movement.

"ma lady, are you alright?.....shall I call for the guards". He eyed Kayito nervously, "I knew you were trouble.....but robbing a woman", he looked at Kayito in disgust. "A good lashing would sort you out", he spat.

Sagar was usually a good natured man, but this was more than he could handle. "Well, what do you have to say for yourself"?

Kynia didn't even bother to reply. "I am Kynia Starrose...Of the Kirioyal..." she paused and smiled. "I am unhurt, it would take more than that to ruffle my feathers." She gestured, and Kyel walked over to her, and dropped his head over her shoulder.

"and this is Kyel, my Companion. don't let his looks fool you...he's more than he seems." she said as Kyel's sky blue eyes locked onto each in turn.

Sagar regarded the man, his distrust apparent. "Is this true madam", he said, as Kayito extended his hand. The barkeeps face was a deep purple, his initial anger turning to embarrasment.

have I misjudged this man?, he thought to himself. Kayito had been in Sagar's Inn quite a few times, but had always left on even terms, without causing any trouble. "Oh, very well, come in....quickly" he grumbled, motioning to the two of them. He hated any type of commotion outside his Inn, it often led to a downturn in business for the next few days. OOC: Sorry I took so long, Ive been out of the Roleplaying forum for a couple of days.

BIC: Blade walked down the main road in town to the port. He gazed into the ocean and in its brilliant sparkle he was absorbed by its beauty. Not a day has passed that he didnt think of her. Kynia had left, he did not accept the fact that he could not come with her, but he had agreed to stay and protect those that needed him. He remembered exactly how she had looked, he longed everyday to look once again into her beautiful eyes and tell her how he felt about her. But those days were gone. She had found the way to save her people and she had left him. Blade hated staying on Ansalon, everything was ugly. His own order had abandoned him, when they found out he could use magic they banished him from their ranks, and now he wandered the lands searching for some meaning to his life.

He headed to the local tavern to have a drink when he saw a beautiful horse waiting outside. Blade knew he recognized that horse. He had been in town for but a week and already he had found someone he never thought he would see again. Walking up to the creature he put his hand on the horses neck and gently patted its mane. "Hello, my friend," he said to the horse, speaking to it as if it were a human. "I have missed you very much these past years. Where is your queen, I would very much like to see her again." The mere anticipation of seeing Kynia again was almost too much for the knight to bear. A single tear of joy rolled down his cheek as he stared into Kyel's eyes.We are damaged provider modules,

Eisenthalas hovered in the sky, his cloak billowing about him by the wind.
He watched as the mage in purple went about saying sorry over and over again. In truth Eisen was quite disappointed.
"No chromatic dragon would be that sincere in saying sorry to anyone..." he thought bitterly.
"Then again..." his gaze fell upon the man that recieved an icy glare from the lady's horse.
"A very experienced tumbler or a man hiding his true powers..." Eisen watched as the man stood on the roof of the inn. Then, selecting a secluded area to land on, he came down from his place in the clouds, the enchantment upon the silver circlet he wore temporarily dormant.
Walking briskly out, he noticed a man...no...a knight...crying? Tears of joy, by the look of rapture upon his face.
The dragonbane walked up to the knight, smiling.
"You look as if you had seen Silvanesti for the first time! Or perhaps something even more beautiful?"
He looked at the horse, which looked as if it had been the one to cause the knight such joy. Eisen took note of the intelligent eyes studying him. Suddenly he felt as if he had a limb severed from him, for his sword no longer was part of his mind.
"Immense mental control," he thought, his mask of jovial friendliness darkened with calculation for a split second before the mask came up again, "The horse is more than it seems to be..."
Taking note of it for future reference, he turned to the knight again.
"I am a stranger to these parts, sir knight. I know no one and no one knows me..." which was quite true. He kept himself as scarce as possible, but he found that gathering information from people from other lands was also quite profitable.
"So I wondered, would you perhaps let me buy you and your friends a drink?"

Kynia didn't bother to ask Who "He" was...but immediately reached out, searching for Blade's presence. as Kayito watched, he saw her face break into a look of Pure joy. She stood, and turned to the door of the Inn.

Blade heard his name spoken in his head, it was her, and she was nearby. He raced into the inn, ignoring the worried glances of the rest of the patrons. And there she was, her long silver hair pulled behind her back, and her eyes drew him back into their depths, just as they always had.

I am here, and I have missed you much these past years. He spoke to her through his mind. You are just as beautiful as I remembered. Blade approached Kynia slowly, not knowing what her reaction to him would be. Blade could not control his emotions now, and it was taking what little will-power he had left to stop from breaking down and crying. Eisen, though not expecting an answer in perfect speech, had braced himself for the horse's reply.
"So you can talk." a statement. Not a question.
"I thought you were different...Are you of another kind, cursed in that form? Or are you like the Forestmaster?" he whispered as he said this.
"And as for your rider...she is as powerful as you are, if not more...no race widely known in Ansalon can best my order in mental prowess. Is she perhaps Irda, like my former companion Eden? Or is she from another world or plane altogether?"
He wrenched the sword's presence back into his mind. Smiling, he sat down next to the horse, looking at the happy two.
Suddenly words poured out of him. Words that he had not even spoken to Eden, his companion and mentor.
"I am far too young to be doing this. Irda magic imbued into me and my equipment has definately helped, but I have lost my youth in becoming a dragonbane, and I have lost my heritage in becoming a dark elf."
His voice became full of bitterness.
"Curse that bitch, Alhana. Was it my fault that her decrept old father had hidden an artifact of powerful magical properties where someone could stumble upon it?!"
He sighed and sniffed the air again.
"I can smell it. My homeland. My life. I feel it calling to me through the wind, always, like a hand that offers something while restraining you."
"They cast me out with the likes of Dalamar. HE deserved to be cast from the light. By the abyss, he cast himself from it by doing the wrong!"
Clenching his fist, Eisen felt himself nearly overcome with bitterness but managed to control himself and stand up.

He loved this woman, that much he knew, but he was not prepared for the feelings that rushed back to him. She was all that he fought for, she was all that he longed for, she was all that he lived for. He pulled back from her embrace and looked deeply into her eyes, those beautiful eyes that had captured his heart. He wanted so much to kiss her, but so much has happened and he did not know if it was appropriate. "I thank the gods that you have returned. I have been praying for this day ever since you left." Eisen, finding himself ignored, stayed with the horse, not petting it, but talking to it like it was another human. People stared as they walked past him, for it looked like he was insane. Eisen ignored them completely and utterly, talking quietly with the horse.
Once in awhile, he would glance back at the inn. The man in purple came out again. The cloth covered sword strapped to his back loosened itself.
He watched out of the corner of his eye, and took a bottle of silvanesti wine out of his bag, sipped it and offered some of it to the horse. "Then calm me...with your sword!"-Madoushi, Final Fantasy Unlimited

"Then fight me, Eisenthalas, and may I be damned to Chemosh if I do not see you writhe and disintegrate by my flames."-Ansulyrion, Fire Dragon

OOC: Not ignoring you...just thinking of Kyel's reply :)

BIC: Kyel lowered his head, and accepted a bit of the water. To answer your questions friend, no, I am not like the forestmaster...there is no true other like her in all of Krynn....though there are other unicorns...but that is beside the point.

Kyel paused, tossing his head and leveling his gaze at Eisen. you are closer than you think when you speak of this "Eden" Irda I am....My lady inside, is a decendent of my people...we "Guardians", as we've come to call ourselves, left the main grouping of Irda that populated the Dragon Isles...Upon distant shores we found a group of elves that called themselves the "Cailiorayl" or "Moon Sent" in their language... They called us "Kirioyal" or in their language..." Star Born" After many years....many of us fell in love with the elves of this land...and eventually...all where bred out...and the "Kirioyal" became a reality...

Kyel snorted and turned his head towards the tavern Kynia is a distant decendant of mine.... I am one of the long past...the true "Guardians" I and others like myself chose to protect our decendants, to remain behind, instead of passing on to other worlds.Do you ever question your life?
Do you ever wonder why?
Do you ever see in your dreams,
all the castles in the sky?

Blade took the sphere, and kissed Kynia on the cheek for the beautiful gift. "I will accompany you to the temple, but as for finding Tempest and the kender, Im not so sure that will be a simple task. We all went our separate ways after the temple, I have no idea where they are now. Maybe we will find them, but try not to get your hopes up. The odds of finding them again will be slim, but if there is anything I can do to help you, know that I will do it." He looked deep into her eyes, longing for a day he could be with her, but she is a queen and he is a cast out knight. He could never be with her, but his dreams kept him going. Having her as a friend is just as good as having her as a lover, but I would love to cherish her as both.

As he grew restless he decided to go out and fly. He went to the door and as he opened it he saw a man talking to the horse. He past the as fast as he could because he wanted to fly. He went to a dark alleyway that would let him get up in the air and transform into his dragon form. He flew up as fast as he could so as not to spook any townsfolk. Of course their was always a chance someone could have seen him yet no one has ever.

Once he was among the clouds he became a dragon. It felt could to spread his wings and fly about. Yet when he looked down into a dark alleyway from up above he saw a group of orcs killed. "It didn't look like a scandle just a quick kill. But of course a group of orcs are sometimes tough who could have killed them so easiley? As he pondered over this he noticed that he had gone below the clouds and that anybody who looked upwards could see him!

As soon as he realized this he flew back up into the clouds and stayed there. He hoped that no one had looked up. He did not want to have to leave this town if the people started to take up arms and try to hunt him down. Of course this happens sometimes but not all the times. "This is not good."

He became his human self and flew down to a dark alley way and quickly moved back to the inn. He noticed the man still talking and hoped he did not see him. He opened the door and walked to a table again and sat down instantly. Trying to listen once again at what the group was saying.

On the wings of heaven does my spirit soar high,
Under the ocean does my heart swim free,
In the bones of the earth does my mind lie secure,
And in the pit of fire....my passion burns forever.

((OOC:Sorry to hear that, then. Oh, and Dark Master, I wrote it wrong. It was ogres. Sorry, my mind was preoccupied at the time...))

Eisen nodded thoughtfully.
"I met an elf who called himself a Calliorayl, though I believed at that time he came from the east of Mithas."
Sighing, he looked out over the tops of the buildings at the clouds.
"I suppose I should go into a little detail of my life as you have done. I don't suppose you've felt anything magical surrounding me besides Irda magic? I would have been surprised if you did, for this magic I am about to tell you is secret even to the oldest of dragons."
He paused, then continued on.
"I managed to lock the Fire Dragon's body frozen with an artifact I had found in the temples of Istar under the bloodred sea where I had fought sea dragons. The Dargonesti weren't too fond of my help, but they left me alone that time. Back to the point, with its last breath before it became a frozen entity, the Fire Dragon sent me to an island far east of the isle of Mithas. An island surrounded by powerful magic which I have come to call 'myst.'"
"I met Eden there. He was trying to unlock the use of myst, which was plentiful but erratic when harnessed with Irda or Conclave magic. By a stroke of luck, it was I who harnessed it properly. I harnessed it into my being. The island is empty now, its grass and life withered and its temples crumbling."
He smiled and said, "I've said enough, I think. Telling you any more would weaken me to you, and I can't let that happen, can I?"
Taking another swig of wine, he said, "So howabout that knight? I felt magic from him. Did you have any dealings with him?""Then calm me...with your sword!"-Madoushi, Final Fantasy Unlimited

Kyel watched Eisen closely, then nodded his head. yes, That knight is my Lady's Intended...they met a few years ago...when she came to this land with intentions of freeing her people, held in the thrall of a Black Crystal dragon by the name of Navare...she broke the spell, freed her people, and set the dragon on his correct course in life...

Kyel stamped one silver shod hoof. I know what the knight is feeling...that he is able to use magic...and now unworthy of the knight hood, he feels himself unworthy of her...I can only hope she can convince him how wrong he is.Do you ever question your life?
Do you ever wonder why?
Do you ever see in your dreams,
all the castles in the sky?
