Blood dripped from silver tipped wings onto a feather littered ground. The rhythmic soft splashing of it hitting against stone, caused him to open his eyes slightly. Silver hair, matted with dirt, and soil. Red blooms ran from his abdomen, in tiny rivets down his thighs, forming the droplets at his toes. Limp wings shuddered as the first drizzle of rain swept down, caressing skin, bringing with it mild relief. Soon, wave and wave of the rushing, falling water, beat him, nearly as brutally as the whip had earlier that day, only this whip washed away dirt and dried blood.

Why was he persecuted? A boy, no more that 19. New to the adult world. But did he know. It was only suppressed, even more so as he retreated into himself more and more. However, deep within, something….something stirred. Ancient calling. Lost pasts. Remembered deaths. Blood, soo much blood.

Angelous now knew who….what he was. The Death Angel, The Blood Angel. The taker of Innocence and bringer of suffering. But that wasn’t him. It was a heritage. Passed down from corrupted father, to naive son. The mark on his left cheek, the sign of Death.

But he was soo handsome, so angelic. How could such an innocent of appearance, cause soo much blood shed, pain and turmoil. Those crystal blue blues, sparkling behind their current haziness. Silver locks of un-bound hair cascaded over his shoulders. A perfect face was held within, marred only by blood, dirt and the mark of death. His body, lean, supple, hard as stone, trained….yet un-tested. Slashes cut deep red ribbons across his torso, nails impaled feathery white wings, whose tips looked to have been dipped in molten silver, matching his hair.

Only a loin cloth covered his man-hood for modesty’s sake, and a silver band encircled his neck, a single rune engraved upon it. The remnants of a white robe, lined in blue silk, lay amongst the bloodied litter of feathers.

He was crucified. Held on to the wooden stake by his wings, broken as they were, and by a flesh rendering piece of twine around his chest, the blood it drew, washed by the rain. Angelous needed help. His father would pay, Angelous asked for none of this, but got the brunt of it as his father had flown, leaving his son behind.

His Mother, he cried her name through the soul shaking sobs, sobs of bitterness…of loneliness. She had been a Wizardess, a great one. He loved her so. Having been raised with her, he had learned the finer point of magic, but obviously not enough to stave off the marauding band tat had nabbed him. He couldn’t be rid of the remembered sight of her death face…

The soft sound of hooves reached his ears, he strained his weakened neck, to seek any aid.

Celestin flew with practiced ease...her wings stretched to catch the rising thermals from the world below. Her long silver streaked black hair streamed out in waved behind her. She wore clothes of a ranger....mottled greens and browns....a silver longbow at her back. Born fully grown, with all the knowlege that she could ever need, Celestin was the offspring of a Angel of Compassion and an Angel of Death.

She carried the best and worse of both within herself. Even her wings where proof of her power....one wing was a silvery white...the other, black as the dark moon. She flinched suddenly....another of her own kind was in pain...terrible pain. She angled her wings, and folded them to drop to the earth below like a stone....

She pulled up out of the dive yards away from the crucified angel. Her silver bow immediatly at hand....a single silver fletched arrow notched on the string she let loose two arrows in quick sucession....both finding their marks....as two men fell to the ground.

She flew the few feat to where the other angel hung....her mismatched eyes filled with such firey anger.

"Who dares do such a thing??" she cried, her hand holding another arrow ready...waiting for someone to oppose her.Deep in the night the wind blows cold, and in a Heartbeat the fear takes hold. Angelous crained his neck more so, straining to see his potential saviour. Another Angel....he tried to speak, but blood cacked lips cracked and bled even further, cringing with the pain, he croaked something...."Help....please...the pain....h-help...", he could manage no more, his sobs drowned out the words, matching that of the pounding rain. He reached for power, but the pain blocked it, like a thick fog Angelous could see through it not.

Even his death words were beyond grasp.....but he shuddered violently at the memory of such powers....again his eyes strode to the strange Angel.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A man walked forward, a drab brown robe hung loosely over his boney frame. "This....thing...has murdered two of our people, we have tolerated him and his father for years now, but this crosses the line......who are you to question is woman....", he eyed her wings. "One of his kind i assume....perhaps you should be crucified with him....if not, then get out of our way, we have not finshed questioning him."Come see my site : http://pub63.ezboard.com/bthedream60488

Celestin frowned. "You're a fool...if you think I'd leave him....and your a bigger fool if you think you can take me down with him." she sneered....and she let the arrow fly....it struck the man in the leg...allowing him to live...for the moment.

"I warn you now...If you try to stop me...I will kill you. I will not miss again." She turned, her hands held out in front of Angelous A silver/blue glow surrounded them. "By the Goddess Mishakal...Goddess of my mother...Heal this injured soul his wounds...." she said the words clearly...and the glow lept from her hands, to Angelous. The glow started near his stomach, and slowly spread outwards.

The old man fell to his knees, the pain ravaged his time hollowed bones. Blood freak of a bitch....she'll pay for that....., he gestured with his hand, two of the so called guards moved in, they were no more than men with pick forks as far as he was concerned, but they would do.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Angelous' eyes flashed open. His mind cleared. Aching muscles eased, blood ceased to pour out of open wounds. His strength ebbed back into him. Vengence boiled to the surface. He reached up, the blue aura still encirlcling him, and pulled the nails from his wings, and tore the twine around his chest. The wounds healed. He fell to the ground, amoung his bloody feathers. He pulled on his tattered, blood soaked robe. The white linen, lined with blue silk, moulded over his perfect body. Gaping holes revealed his torso and a patch at his right thigh. His bare feet lifted him to the ground.

His eyes caught movement. With a smile, Angelous launched himself into the air. His face had darkend, consumed with a rage of vengence. He landed behind Celes. He screamed a death cry. Angelous reached for an inner power, buried deep. He ran forward, his wings aiding him. Tendrils of black mist wrapped themselves around his hands and forearms. Nearing the two men, he threw his hands forward, and two large tenticle like tendrils snapped forward like lightning.

Hitting the men, the mists entered their chests, and they screamed......boy did they scream.....blood curdling, bone shattering howls of anguish. His power still had returned to full strength. The men would have been dead instantly, for now the suffering had to be enough. Bringing the darkness back within himself, he sagged to the ground and wept again. That was all he seemed to be doing......sobbing.....why wasn't he plundering, killing, making others suffer for what he had been through.....No!! I am not my father...they are his memories, not mine....Mother taught me more than that....

Rising he wondered over to the men....they would live, but it was beyond his powers....he looked at the stranger...."Help them please....", his crystal blue eyes brimmed with tears....he then looked to the old man..."I'm....i'm sorry you think so of me old man.....twas not i who killed those people....", he couls day no more....and so launched himself into the air, sreading his wings far to catch the rising wind.Come see my site : http://pub63.ezboard.com/bthedream60488

Some distance above, a figure floated, watching silently. The figure stood there, though it was standing on the nothingness of air, that didn't seem to concern it. It was shrouded by a long black robe, remiscent of a monastic order, the could drawn up and covering the figure's face in shadow. The figure had wings of white feathers, folded closed against his back, and he rested a sword, point down, on the solid nothingness beneath him - resting both hands on it's pommel like some warrior-monk from a bygone age.

No-one knew if he was Angel or Demon, Forgiven or Fallen. They called him The Unforgiven and many other titles, but most of all they called him the King of Locusts. He was the Angel of Destruction, to mortals he was named Oblivion, and to those who claimed themselves as immortal he was fear itself, and they called him by his true name. Abaddon.

Then the King of Locusts spoke, his voice sound like that of the void itself.,

"That is has come to this. An Angel of Death, brought low by mortals. The great-son of my own brother. Ah, but he must mourn for his stolen kin."

Still, these mortals would suffer. They though thier loss now was pain? Let them see what pain is without crops, when their cattle die and thier children are stillborn.

Abaddon turned his head to watch the flight of Angelous.

But first, the Reaper's grandson must be dealt with.

Abaddon's mighty wings unfurled and the Archangel swooped off in the direction of Angelous.

OOC: Don't worry about him being more powerful than the other angels - he's going to be somewhat aloof from the mortal realms and hence won't really use his powers - he'd be more likley to leave it to the minor angels (that's you lot)"Ah, they have a cave troll....."

Gen lay on the ground, breathing the mud next to his dropped polearm. He would have moved to avoid more getting more filth into his mouth, but he lay in a rictus of trauma, every muscle caught fast. His throat burned from the agonized scream that he had let loose a moment... (or a millenia...?) before, but that was nothing compared to the sensation in his chest. The dark lash had burned stright through him, blowing through his soul with the ease of a corssbow quarrel. As he struggled for conciousness, he was not at all sure that he would live long even if he kept it.

OOC: That's right, it's one of the guards."Eyes that fire and sword have seen,

Celestin stared in shock at Angelous's abrupt departure.... She started to take a step forward, but stopped at the cry of pain behind her. She turned and her mis-matched eyes swept over the wounded.

Her wings spread...and a wind swirled around her...gaining light...

Goddess of my mother.....Grant those life who deserve your blessings....Dark Goddess of my Father...Grant death to those who deserve your blessings....

An image/spectre appeared next to Celestin...each hovering by their respective colors of the Angel's wings. From Celestin's white wing, a woman in ghostly blue flew onward...touching here...overlooking others.... healing and returning life.

Near Celestin's Black wing...a Specter of a woman in dark swirling robes...her hair each a dragon's head...red, blue, black, white and green respectively... Followed in the Blue Spectre's wake....touching those overlooked by the former's touch, destroying....taking the last breath of the dying.

within moments...the two spectres where gone...so was Celestin....flying fast...trying to catch up with Angelous.Do you ever question your life?

Suddenly, Gen's lungs were free, and he sucked in a mouthful of the mud before he came to his knees choking and spluttering. The pain, the boneslpitting agony, had been lifted from him, somehow...

He wiped the grime from his eyes and looked up, watching the shapes disappear over the high mountain ridge to the west. He watched the mountains long after they were gone, keeping his eyes locked solidly onto the ridge. After a few minutes, he felt about for his polearm, hefting the weapon onto his shoulder from where it had fallen, all while maintaining his gaze. Standing, swaying in the early evening breeze, he began to put one foot in front of the next, starting towards the mountains.

He knew that he could not shift his eyes....

...he knew that he could not look at the death around him.

He walked after the angels."Eyes that fire and sword have seen,

Flandrake stepped out of the shadows and looked up at the angels flying away. He made a note to follow them later but for now he wanted to find out what happened. He walked over the guards, "So you made the mistake of trying to kill an angel?" Flandrake crossed his arms and made sure that he knew where the angels were flying away to.

OOC: Flandrake is half wild elf half deamon. He is covered in tattoes of different colors and design. He has blackish red dread locks. Some have feathers or beads in them. His breath came in sharp, painful gasps. What had he done? By the Gods his father would pay. But as he neared the mountains, his thoughts drifted to his Mother....bringing with it the painful mourning. She had been a good woman, a mage of the red robes, devote to both her magic and son, not equally, but still she had loved him. How she came to be with his father Angelous still did not know, nor did he want to. He could remember, one stromy night, his first test of flight, he had leaped of a tree branch, only to catch his wing and tumbled downwards.

She had been there the moment the scream leaft his throat, but his father was away somewhere else. Her loving hands gentle fixed the wing, adding in little magic to numb the pain.....how could his father have killed her, they would qaurrel yes...but some part of him had loved her, if such a creature could love....then again, it must have been possible, for he was one and loved...

Reaching the mountains, he spotted a secluded cave and sought shelter in it. Come see my site : http://pub63.ezboard.com/bthedream60488

Celestin flew on...her wings stretched to their limits. she caught sight of the cavern just as she was about to give up...and a faint flash of silver, perhaps off a feathered wing.

"Hello?" she said softly...staying in the light outside...not wishing to startle this other angel. "I am Celestin....Angel of Both Light and Dark....who are you?" she asked calmly...her hand outstreatched.Do you ever question your life?

Abaddon swooped down and landed outside the ledge, a few feet behined Celestin and out of Angelous' view. The cowled figure folded his wings and lant his sword with it's point on the ground again, content to watch for the moment, glancing once back towards the doomed village. His curse would begin to show in a few days prahaps - when the harvest was due to come in."Ah, they have a cave troll....."

IC: Flandrake shrugged off the mumbeled response of the commander. And walked away, "It's time to meet these so called 'angle'," he thought to himself. He quickly caught up with the guard and wondered why he was running from the village, sure the angles might come and smite the people but they would find him. Flandrake silently moved behind him, "Why do run? Or are you trying to catch those angels?" Flandrake looked up and he spotted the two he had seen before but he also saw a third. The woods closing in around him, blotting out the village behind, Gen spared a careful look at the feral elf. His eyes were those of a haunted man, one who seemed not even to notice his fellow traveler's wierd appearance.

"I... I can't go back there.... There's nowhere left for me to go...."

The man's eyes unfocused again, and he stumbled around a tree, catching himself with his polearm. When he recovered, he seemed to have forgotten that the conversation had even occurred."Eyes that fire and sword have seen,

Soaring the thermals was his favorite thing to do...besides extracting revenge from crimes ages past. His raven wings spread to their full wingspan, he looked down to see a death angel and another with a black wing and white wing. With a curious sneer, he looked at them and tried to remember anything to cuase them pain for.

He was an angel of revenge, of vengeance. He was covered in black armor, with a sword at his hip. It was a longsword, named Payback his favorite weapon to use. He was Azran, but was more commonly known to mortals as Raki. These two were angels though....

He landed with a flash of black feathers and glanced at the two ready for flight.
