The_Thorn

The Thorn paced his room. He headn't seen Cai'de all day and it was starting to bother him. He stopped at the end of the room turned and headed back the direction he had came. His best man wasn't here yet, where was Py? He had no idea how the women were doing. He knew the invitations had gone out, but had everyone got one? Was all the food ready in the reception area? Did Fury still have the rings? Was Ghostbuster going to make it or wander off on his way here? So many questions blazed through the mages head.

The Thorn stared at where most of his clothes hung. He was wearing his pants, but not much else. They felt uncomfortable compared to his robes. He poured himself another glass of water from a pitcher on the table and drank it quickly. If anything went wrong and Cai'de was unhappy, he'd just die. Everything had to be perfect. The mage started to pace again."Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?"
"You don't need any help from me, sir."
"That's right." - Clue

Ghostbuster Lillypad, kender cleric extra-ordinare, was just a bit nervous. Not really nervous of course, that was prepostorous! Kender don't get really nervous!

And yet...Ghostbuster had never performed a wedding before...and he really really hoped he wouldn't botch it. It might be just a bit...emberassing.

At least he had remembered that today was the wedding. He knew Thorn had been worried he'd forget, but he'd remembered!
Now if he could only figure out where the wedding actually was...That which is Joe's is given unto Joe. That which is not of Joe's shalt be given unto Joe. All that is, all that will be, shall be given unto Joe. For his is the hand that guides the world, and his is the heart that rules it.

"What would be a better wedding present than this?" Solaris said, holding up a keg.

"Oh come on, only you drink and smoke yourself to death Solaris, I prefer what I brought, what could be nicer than matching dragon pendants I made myself, which I might add are quite nice." Paedon said.

"Who invited us again?" Cindertanin said walking with the rest, his gift that he brought a large slab of cooked beef for the reception, he roasted it himself with a fireball spell.

"Technically, not the bride, nor the groom, we never met them. Btu all of our friends are there, and presents are presents in any world, right, besides, I think that Thorn might be a good person to hang out with, he's been around with our friends for a long time. Solaris, no wedding jokes, married couple jokes, old people jokes, you know what, just shut up the whole time." Paedon said looking at his loudmouthed friend.

"Whaaat?" Solaris said, looking hurt by this statement, but being completely sarcastic about it."I used a level 3 fire spell set to volcanic to cook the turkey, it took 10 second, it was only alive for the first 3" Black Mage, 8-bit theatre.

I have the dress, the sash, the jewlery, I have everything for my hair . . . where are Fain, Mirror, and Kalia?!? Cai'de thought anxiously. She stood by the curtained window in her slip and drummed her fingers on the sill. All her life she had been a loner, and now everything was about to change. Though she was deeply in love with Thorn, and couldn't wait to see him again, she was nervous all the same about this major turning point in her life.

Having never been in / to / or in anyway part of any wedding, Cai'de had only to rely on what she had heard.

Where are they?!?!?! She tought desperately. The longer she was weft alone with her own nervous thoughts, the darker they became. What if Thorn changes his mind? What if he doesn't like the dress? Maybe I should have worn shoes . . . Cai'de looked down at her bare feet, her silver painted toenails, and the small silver and blue toe-ring from Tolkanin. Cai'de's Kender friend had gone on wanderlust, and so couldn't make it to the wedding, but gave her that before she left to 'think of her as being there every step of the way'.

She hadn't seen Thorn all day, and was starting to hate that little ritual that 'the groom isn't supposed to see the dress until you walk down the aisle.'

Whose stupid idea was that, anyway?

Cai'de summoned up some clouds to calm her, and watched as a light drizzle cooled the air. Then, there was a knock at the door, and forgetting her clouds and letting them whisp away, she leapt to open it."Faithless is he who says farewell when the road darkens." -- Gimli, The Fellowship Of The Ring

Fáinalothalas burst into the room as soon as Cai'de opened the door and nearly knocked over the bride-to-be.

"How can you call these shoes?! I can't walk in them and I'm an elf!!" To demonstrate, she lept across the room, her usual graceful movements ending in a tangled heap of dress and hair. Looking in disdain first at the high heels and then at Cai'de's bare feet, Fáin took the "shoes" and threw them against the back wall. Standing up, she straightened her dress with a satisfied sigh, and moved around the room with her normal liquid grace.

Pacing around the room, Fáin reviewed what she had been doing all day which was comprised mainly of errands and complaining. She had donned her bridesmaid dress early this morning and not stopped complaining about it since.

In reality she loved the dress. It was the softest of silks, a deep cerulean that perfectly counteracted her neon orange hair. It shimmered as she walked, turning different shades of blue with each angle and sporting about a million silver motes that danced and winked in and out as a field of stars in a writhing sea of azure apparitions.

But she had never been so nervous! A wedding was a lot to plan for and when Cai'de had asked her to be a bridesmaid, she had nearly jumped out of her skin with worry. What if she ruined it for everyone and worse, Cai'de and Thorn!? This day had to be perfect and she was helping out as much as she could but it never felt like enough...

By the gods, she thought suddenly. If I'm this much of a wreck, what must Cai'de feel like??

Looking over to the human with a bit of pity in her gray eyes, Fáin was suddenly struck by how beautiful her friend looked. A soft smile spread over her face, turning into a wide grin.

"Cai'de! You can't get married like that!"

A shocked, worried look came over her friend's face and she looked herself over several times, panicstricken.

"WHY??"

Fáin moved over and started swirling her dress in front of a large mirror, looking unconcerned. "Why one glance at you looking so beautiful and perfect and the Thorn is liable to drop dead."

Pyranthas
03/11/2002 4:26 PM

Pyranthas materializes behind his friend. The mighty Templar stands tall with his hair tyed back, his wings pulled as tightly as possible into him, and his tail wrapped around his waist as i it was a belt. He wares clothes of the finest silk with a cerimonal long sword at his hip. He quickly alters his form, so his milky white skin, wings, and tail soon disappear, and not to mention shrink himself down a few feet.

"Sorry I am late my friend, but I had some trouble locating in on your mental signal. Your not wearing anytype of magical jewery that shields the mind are you? Anyways, I am very proud to be your best man at your wedding. It is something I would never miss, even if the Tanar'ri were about to attack, I still wouldn't miss it. Now let me look at you," the Templar says as he stand up and adjusts his long silk coat.

"You have aged yet again since I have last seen you, yet I age not at all. Curse my immortality and my skill with the blade, for if it wasn't for my skill and immortality, I would have long been dead years ago, and I would be in the spirit realm with my bride, Autumn."

Waking suddenly Furanthas looked about the inn, empty bottles of ale and spirits littered the floor.
Foggy memories of the night before slithered into his clouded mind.
Topless dancers and the occasional fist fight.

" What a bachellor party!!" He said, his voice groggy with the build up of smoke.

Kalia walked into Cia'de's rooms, and smiled at her friend. The Soft blue of the silk dress went perfectly with her intricatly braided silver hair, and golden eyes. "Don't fret so much...Everything will be fine..." She winked, and snapped her fingers, bright silvery motes sparked around her hand, and settled in Cia'de's hair, making it look dusted with stars.

"that is, if I have anything to do with it." Kalia laughed.Oh, Moons of Mercy, Moons of Light

Cai'de hugged her friends., immediately in better spirits. "I'm so glad you both could make it!" She said. She took them over to a table and pulled her dress from it. "What do you think?" She asked.

She sighed nervously again and looked to the door. "Does anyone know where Mirror is?" She askd.

Mirror
03/12/2002 8:21 AM

There was a bright flash of white light, a flurry of blue and white, and Mirror sttod before her friend, trying desperately to fix her earings into the holes on her lobes. When she had finally managed it, she stood straight and tall, the blue shimmering in the reflection of her kagonesti eyes. Her long white hair, which was normally braided at the temples, was piled on top of her head in soft ringlets, and the casual viewer could notice little sparkles of blue, the sme colour as her dress, dance in the light as she moved. She straightend the folds of the skirt and looked into her friends eyes, Cai'de's reflection shown back at her in her mirrored almond eyes, and she smiled.

"I'm sorry I am late my friend," she said as she hugged the human softly, I was caught up with something. I had to get you your present, after all. Now, close your eyes!"

Cai'de did as was instructed.

Mirror fumbled in a small pouch that was hung around her wrist and pulled out a beautiful silver necklace and pendant. The pendeant depicted a small dragon, surrounded by a wreath of small blue crystal flowers. As Mirror turned it in the light for the others to see, it glittered softly, as if the god's themselves had blessed the making of it, and sprinkled it with stardust.

"Now, open your eyes!" she said, holding it up in front of the humans face.Ray: It looks like a giant Jello mould!!

The Thorn heaved a huge sigh of relief. "It's good to see you friend," he said, hugging Py. "That's one less thing to worry about. Do you know if Ghostbuster has made it here yet? I thought I told him the temple of E'li in Qualinost but I'm not sure if he was paying attention."

The mage started to pace again. "My mental prowess isn't what it used to be Py, I let Cai'de deal with that kind of stuff. She's much stronger then I could ever have been. I should have brought Ghost here myself."

The Thorn plopped down in a cair to pull on some more clothes. He slipped on a nice silk shirt, a cerulean blue. Tucking it in, he looked at his best man. "It really is good to see you. I'm more nervous right now then when we fought Skie and saved the world." the mage gave a nervous chuckle and went back to his pacing."Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?"

Fáin looked at the pendent with wide eyed astonishment. It was so beautiful...the dragon almost looked alive...

Suddenly the elf snapped her fingers. "I almost forgot! I also have a gift...well, its really from me, Stacey, Ku Y'leh and Kiri...by the way, they were very sorry they couldn't come. Took a lot of magic to get it...Stacey hunted and hunted..."

Whispering a few words of magic, the elf cupped her hands. Pale light poured out from between her fingers. A hush of anticipation descended over the room as all four women leaned closer.

Slender fingers parted. The small kitten yawned and stretched its small bluish purple wings. Sitting up in the mage's hands, the small creature proceeded to lovingly clean its shinny black fur, meowing contently every few seconds. It's liquid silver eyes shone with childlike innocent.

Fáin smiled. "It's a tressym! Stacey found it in some world or another...Luni's been opening them up for her, but I forget the name. I'm told them make loyal pets and he's just so cute..."

The small kitten yawned again and stood, its small wings beating against the air as fast as a hummingbird's. Fluttering awkwardly over to Cai'de, who was holding her new pendent, the magical creature landed on her hands, curled up around the pendent and, purring, fell fast asleep.

"I haven,'t seen Ghostbuster yet. I kinda just locked onto your thought process and teleported myself here. I could attempt to locate him. Just give me a few seconds. I am not sure how long it will take, with him being a kender and all. I have never tried to locate a kender before."

The Templar closes his eyes and his mind starts searching for Ghostbuster. He sends the repeated message Ghostbuster... where are you? Thorn is looking for you...

Cai'de was awestruck. The pendent was gorgeous, breathtaking, she was stunned mute for several moments, then clasped Mirror in a hug.

"Thank you, friend, it is so beautiful!" She continued to look at it, and then Fain spoke.

Cai'de watched with fascination as the little tressym appeared. She smiled with elation as it fluttered over to her and landed in her hands, so soft and perfect, right next to the glittering pendent.

"He's beautiful . . ." She said, stroking his little head with her thumb. "I think I shall name him . . . . . . Toss." She said, smiling. She hugged Fain, careful not to disturb the kitten, then set him gently on a cushioned chair, and clasped the pendent around her neck. "I wonder how Thorn's doing . . ." She said, smiling. "Well, I'd better get dressed! It woulnd't be too stylish to get married in this slip, now would it?" She beamed.

The kagonesti placed a delicate mages hand on Cai'de's shoulder, her other hand dropping the hem of her gown to once again cover bare feet and a sliver anklet, strewn with blue crystals. She smiled at her as she turned around.

"I know you want to see him, but it is not time yet. Just think how special your meeting at the aisle will be due to this parting. You have the rest of your lives with each other, this short time apart will not change that." She squeezed her shoulder and then tried to take Cai'de's mind off of Thorn, so she might be able to last until the ceremony.

Fáin blinked at Mirror. "I remember Stacey mentioning something about that...but I've never heard of it here...but then I've never been to a human wedding."

She paused and then slipped Mirror's gift over Cai'de's head. It sat at the perfect length, drawing all eyes. Toss batted at Cai'de hand with one slender paw, annoyed at having his pendent taken away. Seeing the glittering metal shining around her neck, the kitten spread his small wings and flew up to start playing with it. He nearly succeeded with getting himself tangled in the human's hair before Fáin snatched him out of the way and smiled. "Well, that's something new."

Thinking for a moment, the elf pulled a ring off her finger. It was beautiful, white-gold with runes etched in azure, a small sapphire shaped as a bird embracing the circular metal. It had been a gift from Brian and she now, somewhat reluctantly, handed it over to Cai'de. Feeling a pang of guilt--she hadn't seen Brian all day--the elf attempted a smile. "Something borrowed..."

Fáin, not wanting to ruin the reunion of old friends, simply nodded in greeting to Pyranthas and started arranging a bunch of flowers over on a dresser, stealing glances at the best man when she thought he wasn't looking.

She felt self-conscious with a man in the room. Her dress was rather revealing and the elf wasn't used to such things, beautiful as it was... she played with her neon orange hair every few seconds and averting her stormy eyes from everyone that looked at her. Her right hand would not stop twisting the skin where her ring had been...she considered and dismissed the idea of asking Py if he'd seen Brian somewhere several times. He probably didn't even know the human!

Pyranthas
03/15/2002 5:50 PM

Pyranthas smiles when he sees Kalia and bows, while listening to Cai'da telepathically.

"Kalia, it is good to see you again," he says with a smile and see her pull out the amulet that he gave to her dragon companion years ago.

Thorn is doing ok. He's a little nervous. He wanted me to check on you to make sure you were ok. Anyways, if you need any lessons when it come to this mind stuff, just let me know and I would be happy to be your mentor.

"Kalia, Ayslynn didn't have to give this back... very untypical of a dragon. Generally dragons love magical treasure. Anyways I gave it to him as a gift..." the Templar says as he closes his eyes briefly and the pendant disappears.

Pyranthas notices Fain looking at him out of the cornor of his eyes. Being a Templar had its advantages and disadvantages, and always knowing what was going on around you was one of them.

Sorry, I do not know Brian... sorry to invade your thoughts, but they were kind of projected towards me unconciously.

"Well, I must check to see if the musicians are here. Thorn is getting anxious to know how you are doing Cai'de. I take my leave. Good seeing you again Kalia. Nice meeting you Fain," the tall Templar says as he bow and then heads towards the main hall of the temple searching for the musicians.

As he walks in search of the musicains, Pyranthas starts thinking and realizes that he didn't do his mental exersices, so he stops and then enters a room. He closes his eyes and starts meditating. After a few minutes he stands and then spreads his legs and places his arms out to his side with his elbows tucked to his hips and his hands in fists. He then begins drawing energy. He pulls it harder and harder until there is a bright aura around him that looks like flames. Suddenly...

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH," he screams as he draws in energy and the temple begins to shake and then suddenly stops just as he slows the drawing of energy down and stops. He smiles and then exits the room and heads back on his quest.

"Come on now!" she said, bustling around the human, "We have to get you ready, the ceremony starts soon!"

OOC: Are you wearing your dress already Tolk? Did I miss that bit?! :) :) :)

She then went over to the cat, Toss, and picked it up, as it had just decided that it was going to start batting the flowers that had been reserved for the boquets (sp?). She held it in the crook of her arm while she began to arange the flowers with her free hand, using magic when she missed the use of the hand holding the winged cat, who had curled up and was purring softly.Ray: It looks like a giant Jello mould!!

Fáin smiled at Cai'de, her stormy eyes taking in the beautiful wedding dress. "Breathtaking..." she muttered. "I'm telling you, you're going to render the Thorn speechless or something..."

--------------------------------------------------------------------

She walked towards the assembled alone, carrying nothing but a small silver fujara. Most did not notice her passing, never thinking that she might be important to the ceremony...perhaps just another guest that had arrived late from who knows where. Those who did notice were mainly men and their eyes lingered...

She was tall and graceful and, had her eyes been at all tilted, she could have easily passed for an elf. Her skin was pale and creamy, her hair shimmered in the shadowed sunlight. Hanging down to her thin shoulders, it was also strangely colored, snow white at the roots only to fade to black near the tips. Sharp strands lay on her cheeks, giving the impression of a tiger and enhancing the contrast between white skin and violet eyes. Her dress was made of black silk with small golden motes weaved into the fabric that danced as she moved, looking as falling stars.

In her slender fingers sat her fujara. It looked as a petite clarinet, but sounded more as a flute, producing soft sounds that could be heard haunting the most beautiful of dreams and tingling the soul. Its body was made of rare white-gold, edged with lines of deep black and violet.

Gliding over to one of the guests, she spoke in the well-trained voice of a Master Bard. "Pardon a moi, perhaps you can tell me where The Thorn is? I am here to play for his wedding and I'm afraid I am a bit late. If you could direct me to him, I shall let him know I am here and ready even if the rest..."

She broke off and smiled. This small problem was no concern of anyone's but the Thorn's. The small faire dragon on her shoulder, unnoticed till now by the stunned guest, nodded lazily in agreement.

03/17/2002 5:37 PM

Pyranthas makes it to the main hall and looks for someone who would look like a musician and then heads over to the newly arrived bard.

"You're the musician I take it. I'm the best man, now I was just checking to see if you were here cause the Groom is worried, now if you'll excuse me, I must return to his room to give him all his news that he asked me to gather for him," he says and then disappears into thin air.

Pyranthas appears in Thorn's room.

"Ok, good news your bride is doing just fine my friend, and the musicians are here now so you can rest easy. This is going to be the best wedding that Qualinost has ever seen Thorn. Um... I need to get something that I wanted to give to you, give me a few minutes," and with that the Templar was gone yet again.

In a secret unknown cave somewhere on Krynn, Pyranthas frantically looks for something in a huge pile of treasure. "Ah! Here it is!" he says as he grabs two small bag and then disappears once again, only to appear on the Dragon Isles.

He spots a large silver Dragon and runs over to it. He speaks to it in an unknown tongue and hands one of the pouches to the dragon. The Silver looks into the pouch and sees hundreds of small jewels and it looks at Pyranthas and gives him and dragon smile. Py walks to the dragon and touches it and then the two disappear.

Py reappears in Thorn's room grinning.

"Look out the window Thorn. Your transportation is all taken care of as well as your honeymoon. Just tell that dragon where you want to go and it will take the two of you there. Oh I also wanted to give you this... I have plenty and I figured that it would help out..." Py says with a huge smile and sparkle in his emerald green eyes as he tosses Thorn a small bag filled with emeralds and with a rolled up piece of parchment, which was a deed to a summer home on the coast in South Ergoth.

"But..." the Lady Bard stared as the best man disappeared without a trace. She was as close to being flustered as she could ever come and looked around as if she could will the rest of the bards into showing up.

She could entertain all by herself if need be--in fact, this would be the first time she would preform with anyone else--but she had been told that the bride wanted a real cellist to be there and wouldn't settle for magic...the bard had gone to great lengths to find a cellist--most bards found dragging a cello around to be bad for the back--and if he didn't show up...

"Excuse me?" she asked to anyone who would listen. "Can you tell me where the Thorn is? I need to talk to him!"

She wrung her hands. She had heard he was a mage, stronger than herself...maybe he could find the missing cellist...sitting in a Honda at lunch

Alia ran on, her traveling robes tattered an torn. "Come on!! I can't be late any more than I already am!!!" She cried, her long dark hair trailing behind her.

She was greeted at the door, and shown in with some impatience..since she couldn't catch her breath to speak. Once inside, Alia felt pretty drab against all the finery for the wedding. She held out one hand and muttered soft words, a shimmering silver dust in her hand. she tossed it up, and it covered her from head to toe. The silver dust shimmered brightly then faded from sight.

Alia was clean again, her robes now the robes of a practiced court Mage. Shimmering white with silver and blue trim. A simple unmarked pendant of platinum hung around her slender neck. Her long dark hair, was piled atop her head and held in place by tiny crystal combs. She looked around, her grey eyes wide. "Thats better"

She turned looking for the Lady Bard that her father had sent her to find. Her father had fallen ill, and couldn't make the wedding. So he had sent her to play in his stead.

"Lady!?" She called when she recognized the woman her father had described. "Hey!!" She cried and ran up to her. "Looking for me??" she asked sweetly.

((OOC: LOL! My bard's name is Aliariana "Starfall" Dragonwing...Ali...Alia...hehe. Yeah I know it's a repeat but I only intended to play her over at ROE...I'll just call her Lady Dragonwing in this.))

"Hey," a small voice whispered in the Lady Bard's ear in the tingling language of the faire dragons.

"What, Sindagonion?"

The small dragon stretched on her shoulder, turning a deep shade of blue to match her eyeshadow. "I think I see one of you elusive musicians..."

The bard turned and watched the prim and proper mage in white hurrying through the crowd. She sighed. She had been counting on the girl's father to play--she had known him for a long time and talent didn't get much better--but as he was ill... "Perhaps I'll just 'adjust' the accoustics in here, if need be..." she muttered to the dragon, keeping her voice down even though it was unlikely that anyone here could speak Sindagon's language besides her.

Sindagon chittered and flushed violet fading back to blue--his way of laughing. "Now be nice...give her a chance. She might be great," he whispered back.

The bard smiled and reached up with one hand, scratching the dragon's scales with one long nail. She dismissed her fujara with a thought--not wanting it to get damaged--and turned to greet the mage as she finally made her way through the crowd.

The mage spoke sweetly. Her words were well-tuned, the bard had to admit. She gave a small bow. "I am the Lady Dragonwing...I'm glad you could make it..." her tone was slightly sarcastic by nature and she took away the insult with a grin. Alia smiled. "I have had extensive singing and Cello lessons in all my spare time as a child. Don't worry Lady Dragonwing, my instrament is safe and sound." Alia said, gently touching the platinum pendant, which instantly reformed at her touch. the plain round disk, shimmered and reformed into a crystalline cello.

"see...you needn't worry. My father wouldn't have sent me if he didn't deem me worthy to come." Abruptly one of the crystal pins in Alia's hair moved, and fluttered off into the air. what was thought to be a pin, was actually a crystal faerie. The small creature fluttered between Lady Dragonwing, and Alia.

Startled, Alia caught the Faerie in gentle hands. "Crysta!" she yelped. "don't wander off!" She reached up and moved another pin, which turned out to be another of the Faeries. "Oh...I almost forgot...where is the bride's room, I have my gift for her...."Oh, Moons of Mercy, Moons of Light

The Lady Dragonwing regarded Ali and her crystaline cello for a moment and then gave her a majestic smile.

"I, too, have a gift for the bride-to-be but...hey, Sindagon!"

The small faerie dragon had left her shoulder in a flutter of cerulean wings, and was now nipping at Ali's hair"pins". The dragon dodged the Lady's attempted to capture him and nipped again, this time succeeding in knocking one of them loose. The "pin" faerie beat her wings indignantly and stuck out her tongue at Sindagon.

Chittering hysterically, the dragon took off in chase. The faerie shrieked half in fear, half in delight and took off towards the other side of the room.

The Lady Dragonwing stared after them in disbelief. Her shock--and amusement--was interrupted by a kender that stood up and announced that the wedding would soon start, then started off on some tangent or another.

The Lady glanced around one last time, checking her reflection and the crowd. She had invited more musicians but it didn't look like they were going to show up. One less thing to worry about...

Grinng helplessly at Ali, the Lady said, "We should probably go after them and then get into place. The gifts will have to wait...not being close friends of the bride that's probably proper anyway..." she added in a murmur.

Fáin tried not to laugh as she grabbed Cai'de's shoulders and shook the bride-to-be just enough to get her attention but not enough to move even a single fold of her dress out of place.

((OOC: Nice name. :)))

The Lady Starfall smiled at Arcaius and assured him that he hadn't missed anything yet, though she didn't meet his eyes. She seemed to have a strange fascination with the wall and then her arm shot out towards the violinist, as if she were going to hit him.

"Gotcha!!" she cried, drawing her hand back and holding a fluttering fairy dragon before the startled mucisian's face. "Sorry about that and welcome. We're setting up right over there."

Attaching a magical leash to the indignant Sindagon, she lead him over to their small stage and started enacting the magics that she would use during the show. sitting in a Honda at lunch

(OOC: thanks...it's been in my mind for awhile, but I forgot it.)

Arcaius stared after the Lady Bard while tuning his instrument and and tightening his bow.
"I've never seen a dragon so small..." he murmured.
"I have," said Sylph, taking the form of a faerie woman dressed in forest green silk, hair the same color, and feathery wings. She sat on his shoulder, watching everyone with curiosity
"It was about time you took a form," he muttered to her.
"I'm only visible to you, thank you," she said.
"The dragon?" he asked, setting the violin down.
"Ah, yes. One of the Fairy folk, you can say. There aren't many on Krynn, and they're quite mischevious."
"Unlike yourself?" asked Arcaius sarcastically, and laughed as the Sylph crossed her arms and looked away with a "hmph."
He set his instrument on a chair and took out a waterskin. People around him stepped looked at him in disgust as he poured the contents out onto the floor, but edged away as the water disappeared in thin air.
"Or," thought Arcaius, "At least to them."
The as the water disappeared in the eyes of the people around him, it took a form of a fairy woman with a blue tone, and dress.
"Keep it humiliated, will you?" he asked the Undine, and she nodded.
"Now," he said to Sylph, "Shall we go and explore?"
Sylph was happy to agree."Draco dormiens nunquam tittilandus"-"Never tickle a sleeping dragon"

((OOC: I'm not up to writing a performance at the moment but in the interest of getting the wedding going I'm going to copy and paste a thing I wrote somewhere else. Hope Kalia and Dan don't mind...))

Lady Starfall saw that everything was coming to order slowly, the wedding would begin soon. But first, she had been asked to perform a little something so that people would start paying attention and cease thier conversations...

Looking around she found that her violinist had gone off exploring and her cellist was having a conversation with a young--and obviously engaging-- man. She sighed slightly, though she did prefer it this way...

Oh well, they'll just have to jump into the next one, she thought with a sly smile.

Stepping gracefully onto the stage, she didn't bother to wait for everyone to get quiet. Suddenly the area went dark. Candles burst into flame, but their light seemed constricted, making for a million motes of gold on a sea of black. A spotlight appeared around the bard and she could be seem standing silently, her head bowed.

A keening note from nowhere vibrated off the nearby trees, felt as well as heard, quivering in the darkness. The bard's sweet soprano joined the wavering flute in its delicate music, singing the sorrowful words of a language lost.

The audience stood in silence with rapt attention as another impossible instrument joined, adding danger and mystery to the sorrow. Hearts bled in sympathy to the understood meaning...

A soft note in the background cresendoed from nowhere and exploded in a rapid beat of a thousand drums and a rainbow of magical lights. The bard's high pitched notes filled the air and the crowd felt invigorated, alive, hearts moving in time with a forceful beat...it cut off too soon with the bard giving a bow and the audience staring in stunned silence.

All conversations had ceased and it was time for the wedding to begin.

Arcaius, quite far from the wedding hall, sneezed.
"Eeek!" Sylph fell from his shoulder, but caught herself in the air.
"Don't do that!" she shouted in his ear.
"I can't help it!" said Arcaius, laughing, "And don't get angry, Sylph, it ruins your beauty!"
Laughing as he watched Sylph pout, he opened a wineskin and found it empty.
"Hey, Sylph, I think we should be getting back, my wineskin's empty and the wedding should be starting any time now."
"Fine, fine. I'm letting you off the hook this time, but it's only because I don't find that many humans that can see and talk to Elementals and befriend them like you do."
Grinning, Arcaius leapt up into the trees and jumped from branch to branch, keeping perfect balance while Sylph flew closely by.

Reaching the wedding hall, he heard the voice of the Lady Bard sing, and just stopped to listen to it. It took a kick from Sylph to snap him out of his reverie.
"Undine is gone, but your violin is ready."
Arcaius nodded and plugged his ears while he made his way over to the violin.
"I hope she doesn't enchant us with her voice while we are playing...I think I'd stop."
Sylph nodded, but stopped abruptly as Arcaius felt the same warmth in the air as he had when Sylph had arrived.
"My sisters are here," said Sylph, glancing up.
Arcaius heard Sylph even with his ears plugged, and he could hear faint giggling from her sisters.
"Are all you sylphs this playful or is it just me?" said Arcaius.
They all made thier way to his violin, and Sylph, who seemed to be having a disscussion with her sisters, finally said,
"We're going to play too, flutes and piccolos."
Arcaius, noticing finally that the Lady Bard had stopped, was tuning his instrument again and nodded.
"Do I have to tell the Lady Bard?"
"No," said Sylph, pausing, "We'll play along with you... It shouldn't be too hard."
Arcaius nodded, finished tuning, and made his way backstage.
"I'm ready, milady," he said slightly louder than he usually would have done.
The sylphs, didn't seem to want to stop giggling anytime soon."Draco dormiens nunquam tittilandus"-"Never tickle a sleeping dragon"

Ghostbuster watched, smiling broadly, as Cai'de moved forward and stood beside Thorn, her hand reaching for his.
He coughs to clear his throat, then begins the service. "Welcome, guests, friends and family, to the sacred occasion. That occasion being, of course, the wedding of these two wonderful people, The Thorn and Cai'de."
The kender considers hugging the bride and groom, but decides that its a bit undignified for a kender about to perform a wedding.
"Umm...we kender have certain traditions in wedding, and I want to share them with you all." Ghostbuster says. The assemblled crowd stare in shock. "Unfortunatly, I've forgotten all of those traditions, so we'll just do a normal human wedding." The crowd breathes a sigh of relief.
"I understand the couple have written thier own vows...is that right?" Ghost looks at Thorn, then at Cai'de.That which is Joe's is given unto Joe. That which is not of Joe's shalt be given unto Joe. He held a silver pilow with snow white frills, atop the pillow sat two rings. Each ring sparking brightly in the sun.
His eyes were focused on Caide's dress, never had he seen one so breath taking.
His heart filled with joy at the thought of his own wedding, the thought that his bride would look so amazing.

A smile appeared on his face as Caide glanced at him, her eyes shone with pure love and happiness.

((whoo...sorry 'bout the wait . . . bad week...anyway, THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR:))

Cai'de stood confidently before Ghostbuster, and beside Thorn. Her dress was simple enough, with a mandarin collor and three frog-clasps on a diagonal line from the left of her neck to the right of her arm. Her arms were sheltered slightly by the quarter sleeves. It was a straight cut to her feet, where the fabric arched slightly in the front to allow her toes, adorned only in the ring from Tolk. In the back, the dress trailed out behind her in a moderate train. About her waist was tied a broad ribbon, of the same fabric as the bridesmaids' dresses. It was tied in a tight, large bow behind her, its' tendrils floating down and mingling with the train, passing it and tickling the carpet.

The dress itself was of the softest, smoothest silk, in the most purest shade of white. Indeed, there was a slight glow to it . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . but perhaps more accurately, that glow came from Cai'de herself, as she nodded at Ghostbuster and started to speak;

"I went from a child who had no home, to a lady who had no suitors, but from a friendship born through strife a feeling new to me was introduced. What began as respect for a powerful, mindful mage became a love for the person who called himself 'The Thorn'.

Never had I loved before, and it was to my surprise to find I was loved back by the same. When Thorn proposed to me, I was overjoyed! Someone had found me, and I had found someone. But then the fear set in; would I be a good wife? a good mother? would I be everything I could be for Thorn and the family we intend to raise? I will probably not be perfect, no one ever is, but I know I will give him everything that is in me for the rest of my life.

We will have our disagreements, our peaks and our troughs, but if we stay true to each other, the bad times can be weathered and the good times enjoyed, and our life will be a perfect balance of love and respect.

Therefore, before these witnesses, this audience and this . . ." She paused, looking at Ghostbuster and smiling, "Priest . . . I give myself fully to The Thorn.

The Thorn stared into Cai'de's eyes. She had given herself to him and now he would do the same for her.

"As I stand here before this assembled audience, my heart leaps with joy. When I met this woman, she was someone who I could help. I didn't realize that in turn, she would help me. She helped me realize that in order to continue my journey, I would have to have a partner, an equal.

Now, as I give myself fully to another, I share my deepest secret, for there shall be none held between us. I give all I have to another and ask nothing in return except for her love. For this I share. I share my name, not the Thorn, for which everyone knows me, but my true name. I Khristopher Hemmersly commit and give my self fully to Cai'de."

The Thorn picked up on of the rings off of the cushion that Fury held. He lifted Cai'de's hand and slid the ring onto her finger. He pronounced the word loudly, "Forever.""Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?"
