((ooc; I was rereading over forgotten threads and rediscovered a character that I really enjoyed playing. I wanted to play her again, but since most threads seem to be already far from their start, I decided to start my own. Now, I know my threads usually don't last that long, so I'm going to make an extra effort to create an idea that will keep people enthralled . . . riveted . . . excited. Wish me luck!!!))

Rain and wind pounded against Mista as she struggled to open the door to the Inn of the Dancing Flame without letting the whole storm in with her. When she had finally managed to enter and close the door, she took a moment to look about her surroundings.

It was a dark tavern, with one glowing fire and a few sparse torches. There were few patrons, mostly dark men looking at her lustfully. Indeed, Mista was considered beautiful by some, but now she felt utterly embarassed, dripping from black-haired head to doeskin-booted feet. She wasn't incredibly tall, being only a few inches past five feet, and she never seemed to think her brown eyes anything spectacular. Her bo stuck out a few feet above her head from it's holding on her back. A sack of other items and necesseties hung from her side.

She approached the bar and sat, looking about her tensly. She began to wonder if she was the only female in the whole Inn.

"Can ah git ye' anythin'?" The bartender growled. Mista forced a smile.

"Wine, red." She said. "And warm soup."

The bartender barked a harsh laugh. "Aye, th' only soup we'ave is warm, Butterfly."

A few of the patrons nearby laughed with him, and Mista felt her face burn. I can't stay here, I can't possibly ask any of these monsters to join me. She thought desperately. After a few moments, the bartender returned with a glass of red wine and a bowl of soup.

Cold soup.

Mista decided not to mention in and ate in silence, feeling the burn of many eyes.

"Ye come here wit' a mission, Lass?" The bartender asked.

"Indeed, I have, but I don't think I shall find what I am looking for here. When I am finished, I shall disturb you with my presence no more." She went to take a drink of the wine, however accidentally knocked it over, spilling the wine and causing the glass to roll off the counter and land with a crash on the other side. The bartender glared at her.

"What kin' o' mission?" He barked.

Mista wavered for a moment, then spoke. "A journey. A long, dark journey." She said.

"Where?" Someone asked.

"Where ever the road takes me." She said. "I have heard of a man who possesses a special Goblet of Paladine's and I am in search of it. It is rumored to heal all hurts and bestow the user great knowledge. I am in need of it because . . ." She stopped suddenly, fearing she had spoken too much, and bent down again over her soup.

"Come on!" Someone yelled, indeed, the whole Inn seemed up in arms that she finish.

"I have heard of this man and am following whatever clues I am given." She replied simply. "I am here looking for a party to join me and share the victors." She ended. She watched the Inn with apprehension, wondering who, if any, would offer to join her on a path unknown through dangers unheard of to find a relic long forgotten . . .

Rain seemed to bound off of Cindertanin, as he wandered along a trail. Spotting a crowd through the window of an inn he wandered inside. "Rain again, this season always did bother me." Cindertanin said, checking his equipment, the dagger, seeming ok.

"Bartender, is there a free table anywhere, or even a seat, I just need to rest a bit." Cindertanin said, leaning against a chair. "You know if there was one thing I think could help this, it'd be putting a gnome in a cannon" Solaris said.
"You always want to put a gnome in a cannon" Paedon said smiling.
"Yeah, but haven't you?" Solaris added.

OOC: I remember Mista!!!! That clumsy little thing!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :)

Mirror looked at herself in the base of a skillet and studied her face. It had not changed that much over the past few months, the faces of elves rarely did. She noticed a few lines under her reflective eyes and tried to brush them away with one delicately tapered finger, a finger that was made to wield magic. She sighed, and pushed a strand of her taken back hair behind her pointed ear, and gently traced the outline of the dove on her cheek, which showed the nature of her tribe. She sighed. These past few months the kagonesti had been travelling from inn to inn, offering her services to whoever wanted them as a serving wench, cook, whore, whatever was needed, and often she was all three and more. She'd done this ever since...............
She hated doing this work, missed the sense of freedom she felt whenever she was on the road, and missed the thrill in her blood when she was in battle with either magic or sword. The only thing her magic was used for these days was to light the fire under her cooking pot, and that could only be done when the land lord was not looking. Mages were mistrusted, especially female elven mages with funny eyes.
She was startled from her revire by the bellow of the barrkeep.
"Git some 'o tha soup over 'ere wench, and be quick bout it! Then mek yerself known in t'bar, if yer don't git custom tonite, yer out on yer ear!!!!!"
Mirror ladeled some soup into a bowl and handed it to the barkeep. She heard muffled voices outside while she removed her apron and adjusted her servin wench outfit, pulling the skirt up a little higher and the blouse down a little lower. She hated it here, but she needed the money and the shelter. She prepared herself to go out into the bar when she heard the crash of a broken glass. She sighed and fetched the broom. As she pushed the door from the kitchen to the bar open, she heard a familiar voice, and suddenly she realised why the glass had smashed in the first place!
"Mista? Is that you?! By the Gods it is!!!!!"
She ran over to give her old travelling companion a warm hug.
"I see that bow of your's is still giving you trouble! Still as clumsy as ever I see!!! You must tell me all about what has happened to you since we last met! And what in the name of E'li brings you here?!" Ray: It looks like a giant Jello mould!!

OOC: I'll join you Tolkan and i think i will use my new character that i have come up with.

Name: Du' Kuli, Known to his people as the Wind of Death.
race: Half Elven, Half Air elemental.
Physical description: Slender, graceful, lean build, much like an elf, with dark blue shoulder lenght hair, sky blue skin and snow white eyes.

History: Although it is unusual to be half elemental, Du'Kuli was the result of a Black Robes experiment to fuse two beings together,, using an elf and an Air Elemental, the wizard made Du'Kuli. However in his frightend state, the newly formed being became enraged and killed the wizard after an exhausting battle. However, Du'Kuli was shuned by his elfs, turned away because they believed him to be evil as was his maker. Because of this he once again became angry and killed without relent. Killed Elves, before he realised what he had done, Du'Kuli had killed scores of Elves, using the abilities gained from the elemental. The Elfs branded him Dark Elf and monster. In a fit of tears, he ran into the woods lost, frightend and confused.

Whilst in the woods, after he had cried himself to sleep, Du'Kuli was visited by Paladine, who forgave his crimes, in return for this, Paladine asked if Du'Kuli would undertake a quest for him, however did not tell him what the Quest entaled, but told Du'Kuli to go to the Inn of the Dancing Flame to find out what his quest was to be. On that he set off.

Abilities: Incredibly fast and agile, can command certain aspects of the weather such as wind and can call forth lightning.

Weapons: The sword of Gales is his only weapon besides his bare hands. The sword was given to him by Paladine and has mystical runes on it making the blade unbreakable. There also lies a hidden power within it which Du'Kuli has been unable to unlock.

(If this character will fit in i will be happy to join and will start posting if it does.)'From earth to sky, from leaves to roots,
from fire to ice, and soul's own fruits.
From light to dark, from wind to water,
I claim this spirit and creator's daughter...'

Mista nearly fell out of her stool when she saw Mirror . . . correction, Mista did fall out of her chair when she saw Mirror. But she treated it as a common occurance and leapt up to embrace her friend.

"Mirror, Mirror, what in Paladine's name are you doing here?" Mista asked. She looked up into the reflective eyes. "Come on, lets get out of here!" She suggested. She reached out for her bo and, before anyone knew it but a few could probably guess, had knocked it into Cindertanin's chair. In flurried applogies and an attempt to retrieve it, however, she managed to knock him in the head. More appologies and she had single-handedly cleared a spot on the counter. The bartender was getting angrier every minute. Mista hadn't been that much of a nuisance until she had started breaking things and causing his employees to forget their chores. He cleared his throat loudly and looked at the two women.

((OOC: I remember Mista too!!! However, I don't remember which thread that was, why it died, or who I used. Hm. Problem. Who to be...who to be...I'll be Ku Y'leh cuz I haven't used her much. Was that who I used last time? hehe. That'd be funny. I'm thinking I'll be a new barmaid...never started that way before, it's a good idea Mirror. :P))

"Com'mere. Lemme git a lookatcha." Ku Y'leh Starlite hid a loud sigh as she turned in place for the greasy barkeeper. She felt his eyes rove up and down her body, taking in every womanly curve. The half-elf shivered and spun back around to face him, piercing him with a liquid silver gaze.

The barkeep laughed, a rough, rattling sound, and took the liberty of one last looong look. Ku Y'leh bit her tounge and tried not to think about how easy it would be to turn him into an easily squatchable insect.

"Yeh, you'll do. Git to work," He paused and gave a thoroughly evil grin. "An' put on somethin' a lil' more...revealin'."

Muttering loudly under her breath, the half-elf went and slipped into a barmaid's outfit, neatly folding her blue robes and setting them in a corner with the rest of her stuff. She muttered a few words and set a protective spell over her components and silver sword with a large blue sapphire centered on the hilt.

The first hour was the worst. The tavern was loud and rank, the men drunk and stupid. They cat-called, pinched, and jeered till Ku thought she would explode and take the whole forsaken tavern with her. She swore under her breath and gritted her teeth, weaving in and out of the mob while making herself as small as possible so as not to knock into anyone.

The other tavern wenches--Ku thought sourly--were no help either. They laughed at her newness and how uncomfortable she was. The half-elf desperatly hoped that someone would show up that she could talk to or this was going to be the hardest thing she had ever done in her adventurous life, including the time she had destroyed the silver dragon that was her mother.

But there was no way out. She had to stay and watch for some sign...some sign of L'Nakia. The mage blinked back a tear as she thought about her tiger companion, stolen...lost. She had been told to come here and look for a clue...while remaining innconspicuous. Well, tavern wench was as innconspicuous as things got around here...

Another pinch and the half-elf fled to the kitchen. She sank down to the floor and allowed her head to rest in her slender hands, welcoming the inevitable depression.

((OOC: Hehe. Should be easy enough to get me to go along on your quest...as long as I think it'll be best for finding L'Nakia...hehe. ))"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and

OOC: I'm gonna join in ok? I'm goinf to use the Wizards First Rule Type like Character Called Richard. Hes a warrior/wizard/human/woodsman. I didnt make him up but i think he will do nicely. Hes tall muscular but doesnt wera wizards robes. He wears regular woods clothes. A cload and normal outfit.

IC: Richard walked into the tavern and sat down at the bar . He noticed at once some attractive girls. He decided not to bother them since it seemed they were talking about something serious. He wished he had something to do. Lately Richard hasnt gone on any adventures and is becoming bored.
" I'll take a glass of Ale. " he said to the bartender.
He began examining his weapons making sure they were clean and well taken care of. He looked over his various knives he had in sheaves on his belt. He looked over his ash bow and battle axe he hung across his back. He checked his 4 flanged mace that hung from his belt and his very special sword. It had the words "Bringer of Death" across the blade and on the handle in woven golden wire had the name Richard had given it. "Lightning strike". He slid the sword back into its scabbard and thought about the power it contained. He could make it burst into a lightning fury that would devestate anything nearby."Splatter?I have never in my life splattered!" Fizban said to Tasslehoff.

"Mirror, you just have to join me!" Mista said, too excited to keep her voice down. "I'm on this mission to find this goblet that Paladine used to use and it's supposed to 'cure all wounds' and 'bestow great knowledge unto the user' and I'll explain later why I'm looking for it." She said, casting her first wary glance around the Inn. "Anyway, how about it? Do you want to come?"

"Cure all wounds..." Cindertanin said, "I wouldn't need the likes, but knowlege is important." Cindertanin pondered about it. *Might be a hoax, they could be thieves... if they were, he'd make short work of the humans, but what of the people who did follow her. Lives needn't be lost over trickery. I guess I have to check it out myself.*

Cindertanin saw a drunken man in his thirties reaching a hand towards Mirror, probably trying to grab something. Cindertanin threw a small knife in his belt and the man reached back in pain, the knife halfway through his hand.

"I'll take that" Cindertanin said pulling the knife out of the man's hand. "I'll go to protect you," Glareing at Mista, "From whatever might do harm." Cindertanin had his dagger up the sleeve of his coat on the left hand, and his throwing knives lineing his belt's inside."You know if there was one thing I think could help this, it'd be putting a gnome in a cannon" Solaris said.

Mirror looked at the new face and smiled. "Thankyou for that friend," she said, smiling warmly at Cindertain, "But I am able to take care of myself, though it has been a long time.........." she paused and sighed, the turned her reflective eyes to her clumsy young friend and old travelling companion.
"Of course I'll come with you Mista, but I must go and get my belongings first! Wait here and try not to fall over anything!" she giggled and left for the kitchen. She noticed a handsome man sitting in the corner yell for a beer, and the barkeep looked in her direction, leering all the while. She got his meaning loud and clear, but she didn't need his lousy job and poxy shelter any more.
"Bite me!" she said calmly and pointed a finger at him. A few muttered arcane words later and his alcohol soaked apron caught fire. The barkeep danced about, trying to put out the small inferno while the patrons laughed drunkardly.
Mirror entered the kitchen and saw a woman huddled into a ball, face held in her hands. She walked up to her and put a hand on her shoulder. The woman looked up, startled and Mirror could see fear in her half almond shaped eyes. She tried to remember who this person was. The face looked familiar, but from where? It was obvious that she was another serving wench, but Mirror did not mix with the others, they did nothing but make fun of her, so she did not put herself in that posistion. She sat down next to the half elf and smiled.
"What is wrong child?" she asked, her voice low and reassuring.

Du_Kuli sat in a shadowed corner of the Inn, listening quietly to the conversations which took place around him. Drifting across the room, the word Paladine came to his ears. Looking towards the source of the word, Du'Kuli saw a women standing amoung others. Eavesdropping in on their conversation was no problem. He decided that this must be the quest upon which Paladine asked him to go.

Standing up swiftly, he started towards the group to offer his services. As he headed, one them made the Bartenders apron burst in flames, and then walked into the back. A mage of sorts, Du'Kuli thought, he wouldn't have guessed. Most likely he would find out soon enough.

Approaching them, they eyed him cautiously.

"Greetings, I am Du'Kuli and i could not help but over hear your conversation. I to wish to offer my services on this journey, should you require them." Cindertain viewed him with no expression, but waited to hear Mista's reply. 'From earth to sky, from leaves to roots,

"Thank you. It means a great deal to me. Now if you do not mind, i will step outside, it is somewhat stuffy in this Inn. Whe you are ready to leave, just call me, i will hear you," Bowing slighty to both Mista and Cindertanin, Du'Kuli stepped out into the storm.

Looking up at the cloud obscured sky, Du'Kuli breathed a sugh of relief. He muched prefered the open air to small dank Inns. Walking over to the nearby woods, Du'kuli was about to leap into trees to await the companies departure, when he heard footsteps running, in his direction, light footsteps. Just then, out of the shadows, something darted and knocked Du'Kali onto the ground.

Cursing himself for letting his guard relax, he flipped onto his feet, and turned to meet his opponent. Sniffing the air, Du'Klui realised who it was.
"Your a long way from Sanction, Pertaus."

Rising from the ground, Pertaus snarled at Du'Kali, peering at him with red eyes. "I was anxious to see you, thats all." Pertuas was another experiment of Black Robe who created Du'Kali. A failed experiment in the mages eyes. Another fusion of an elemental but with a human. A fire elemental, accounting for Pertaus' short and firey temper. He was considered a faulty result, as he often had no control over his power and relied on brute force to achieve results, whereas the mage knew that a disciplined mind was require to control the power. Pertaus was however, deeply loyal to his creator and vowed to kill Du'Kuli for taking his masters life.

This was the first he had seen Pertaus since that day and it brought back many unpleasent memories.

"I have yet to keep my promise Du'Kuli, i will turn your bones to ash once i have killed you!!"

"You know... i can't see that happening Pertaus. You have always been too slow." This infuriated him, turning his eyes a deep crimson. He was preparing to attack. Du'Kali bent down, getting ready to jump any fire he might throw, his eyes filled with cloud and lightning danced on his skin.

"FIRE BALL!" Pertaus screamed and launched a massive ball of liquid fire towards Du'Kuli. With the aid of a gust of wind, Du'Kuli jumped the menacing ball of fire which exploded upon a tree behind him. Turning his back upon Pertaus, he ran in the opposite direction, a manuver Pertaus did not expect. Running amoung the trees he could feel the heat taht was gaining on him. Suddenly a clearing in the forest opened in front of him. "Perfect!"

Pertaus was right behind and followed him into the clearing. There Du'Kuli stood, rigid. Placing his hands together, Pertaus lowered his head. As he drew his palms apart, a small flame flickered between his hands. "Volcano." he whispered. Du'Kuli's eyes widened. Volcano was Pertaus' most powerful attack.

The flame grew bigger as Pertaus stood. It grew even larger, and larger until it was the size of a small boulder. Thrusting the fire forward, Pertaus cried in rage and streams of flame darted towards Du'Kuli as he screamed in answer "WIND TUNNEL!" A focused blast of wind met the flames with a loud BOOM! The two elemental warriors struggled to keep each others power at bay. Until Pertaus' failed him. The wind caught him and threw him at into the night air. Pulling his sword from its scabbard, Du'Kuli ran towards the falling victim. Leaping up to meet Pertaus, Du'Kuli cried "RIPPING GALE." and brought the sword down in a vertical line, from which a razor sharp wind eminaited and cleaved Pertaus in two. Dropping to the ground, Du'Kuli waited for the two body parts to land with a thump, 15ft apart.

Turning back towards the Inn. Du'Kuli wondered if the company was ready to depart.

"I hate storms, but I hate being stared at even more." cindertanin said glareing at the man whohad a cut on his hand from a throwing knife. Keeping the black glasses on his head he stood up and walked out of the Inn to see a red thing land in 2 pieces 15 feet apart.

"Had it coming to him eh?" Cindertanin said smileing. "You might want to duck right about..... now" Cindertanin said as a Goblin leaped over his head.

"I left you alone for a reason you green bastard!" ((literal meaning))

The Goblin swing his blade towards Cindertanins head, and was cut in half by a dagger, that seemed to come out of nowhere from Cindertanin's arm. The dagger went into the goblin's neck and the goblin began to get pale and thin. The goblin then crumbled into dust and then mixed in with the mud.

"Well I warned him last time that if he jumped me again I'd kill him. So like the thing you had killed, he had it coming to him." Cindertanin said. "You know if there was one thing I think could help this, it'd be putting a gnome in a cannon" Solaris said.

"Well once we are ready to leave, i shall be waiting, there is no rush." Walking over to a nearby tree, Du'Kuli leaped effortlessly onto the low hanging branch and sat there quietly.'From earth to sky, from leaves to roots,

Ku Y'leh looked up startled in her moment of weakness as a light hand touched down on her shoulder. Her own silver eyes met those of full almond and she blushed slightly. She was never fully comfortable when dealing with full elves she didn't know...

This one was a Kagonesti, though, and had a compassionate expression. The half elf stood up and wiped one slender hand across her eyes. Child...she did feel like a child...

"I think you know what's wrong. This place, these people..." she said softly. A shiver passed over the other and Ku felt an immediate bond. She cheered up a little, reassured that this full elf wasn't going to ridicule her and that she understood...

"I'm not here by choice," she said then and realized that neither was the other. "I was told that if I came here and layed low for a while, I would find some information." She paused and tossed her head in frustration. Obsidian colored hair flew everywhere and she impatiently brushed it aside.

"I'm looking for the whereabouts of a certain ring. Small, plain and white gold, it is highly magical. It was stolen from me," she choked a little here and had to take a deep breath. "by a pirate named Jylon. I think he may have sold it. I need to find it..."

She looked up then at the other elf and realized that somehow she looked familar...

Richard got up and decided he had overheard enough of the girl named 'Mista's plan. He was going to offer her his services. He was tired of his boring life.
"Hello, i am Richard, experienced woodsman, fighter, and mage. I wish to join you on your quest." he said with a smile.
Before she could answer a man got up from the corner of the tavern and started towards Mista. Richard blocked his way.
"Get out of my way you fool. I was only trying to flirt a little." the man said with a snicker.
" You will leave her alone and walk away...... NOW!" Richard yelled. The man brought his fist up to hit Richard in his jaw but wasnt fast enough. Richard brought up his hand and made the air dense. So dense you could hardly see through it. He sent the ball of dense air straight at the man sending him sprawling against the wall unconscious. Not enough to kill him but enought to stop him.

OOC: The short answer is......................I don't know!!! :) :) :) How about we just play it by ear and make it up as we go along?! if an opening comes up, then we'll take it kinda thing! :) :) :) :) :) :)

BIC: Mirror studied this half elf closely, a sense of recognition passing through her body like a wave. She knew this person, but from where? She pushed that thought to the back of her mind for a moment and began to tell her story......
"I'm not here through choice either, as you can probably sense," she began, her almond shaped reflective eyes becoming sad slightly. "I'm here because I needed to get away from the person I was once. A lot had happened to me, and I did some awful things. I left my friends when they needed me most, because I couldn't handle what had happened to me. By working here, I didn't need tothink about what had happened and what I had done. I could hide from it. Until a couple of days ago.
"I had a dream, and Paladine came to me, along with my three babies who have since passed over to be with him," she choked back a tear, "He said that it would not be long and I would have a sign, a sign that I could go back to be the person I used to be before. I did not believe him, I thought that I did not deserve to leave this place. But, after Mista coming here tonight, I realise he was right.
"Mista is waiting outside for me, she is on a quest for Paladine and she has asked me to go with her. I'm sure she'd like you to come along aswell. A lot of men are joining up, and, quite frankly, I'm starting to feel a little out numbered!"
Mirror smiled and in one swift movement of her hands her clothes had changed into travelling leathers and a silver cloak, showing the order of her magic. Her spell components hung around her waist on a silver sash and her long white hair was no longer taken back, but hung down around her shoulders, braided at the temples so as not to get in her face. She smiled.
"Now, that feels more comfortable. I just need to get my pack, bow and spell book and I'll be back. You have that time to decide if you want to come with us or not. I hope you decide to come, my new friend."
She gave the half elf a swift hug and dissapeard to her room, leaving her new companion to mull things over in her head.Ray: It looks like a giant Jello mould!!

Du'Kuli, didn't mind the storm. He felt quite at home during storms, they seemed to ease his troubled mind. However he knew that it could severly slow down the progress of the journey and so pondered wheather or not to lift the stormy weather, even just lighten the rain and wind.

Dropping to the ground, Du'kuli was aware of Cindertanin's eyes on him ( that is if you haven't already gone back inside?). Closing his eyes and dropping his chin to his chest, he began to sway, back and forward. A blueish aura surrounded him. Suddenly his head darted backwards, his eyes opened, there was thunder storm within them, and he stared at the clouded sky.

" Sister Sky and Brother wind,
It is I, your favoured kin,
Hold back the rage,
Hold back the Thunder,
I beg you now rest in slumber."

Seconds later the rain lessend to a drizzle and the gale was but a strong wind. The sky was still dark with cloud but lightning no longer streaked it.

Pleased with the results, Du'Kuli decided to head back to the Inn. Reaching the door, he turned back to see if Cindertanin was still there.

((OOC: Hmmmm...how am I going to find L'Nakia this way?

Ah, I got it. Lose something, Mirror? :)))

Ku Y'leh stood where the embrace had left off, silently thinking. Several barmaids walked by, yelling at her to get back to work but the mage never heard them. She couldn't think...

Finally she moved, stamping her foot in frustration. How could she even think of going on this quest?? She had to stay here and watch for some sign...

...but she didn't want to stay. She couldn't stay. This place would be the death of her.

Sighing the mage walked over to her pile of things and removed the protective spell. On impulse she reached into a small red bag that sat neatly besides her robe. The bag was deceiving, making it look as if the mage carried little besides her clothes and sword. In reality the bag was practically bottomless, holding as much as she wanted to put in there.

Ku dug around, looking for some elven wine--she wasn't about to drink the stuff they sold here--and her hand closed around an unfamiliar shape. The half-elf frowned and pulled it out. A pendent with a golden chain came out. It was beautiful, well cared for, and obviously elven. The half-elf wondered where it had come from...no one could have gotten into her bag without her knowing.

Except maybe a kender, she thought with some amusement. Turning it over, she gasped. An image was engraved and there in the corner was a carved leaf with a ring around it of white gold...

The mage stared for a moment and then decided not to question fate. She closed up her bag, donned her blue robes and silver sword, and hurried out to find Mirror, the pendent clasped firmly in her hand.

((OOC: Dunno if you even owned a pendent but...you do now!! If you want, it can dissapear when Ku tries to show it to you. I just needed a sign. :)))"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and

(OOC: Starlite, i'll try and write in the fact that I had a pendant and now it's gone. If I succeed, then keep the pendent. If it doesn't work, make it vanish. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) Sound alright?! :))

Mirror looked at the bare expanse that was her room. She went over to the small closet and pulled out her long bow and quiver of arrows, throwing them over her shoulder as she did so. She then went over to the bed, got down on her hands and knees and felt about under it for something. A smilelit her face as she put her hands on what she was looking for. She pulled out a small, wooden, nondescript box. She said a few magicla words and the protection spell was lifted. She opend it and looked inside.
It held all of her most valuable posestions, thengs that she had aquired over the years, found, or been given by suiters and/or customers. She rifeled through. What the half elf had said had jogged something in her memory. The description of the ring sounded familiar to her somehow, though she knew not why. Then she remembered. The pendant! It had been given to her by a very regal customer of hers, at least, he pretended to be of nobel blood. He was a silvanesti elf, and Mirror had known he must be a dark elf, because her Silvanesti cousins would never go anywhere near a whore otherwise. They may think about it, but they'd never do anything about it! He had left it for her as payment. She had thought at the time that it must have been stolen or something.................
I wasn't here!
Mirror sat back on her haunches when suddenly a whirlwind of excitement that was the half elf she had just met flew into her room. Mirror looked up at her, wondering wat all the excitement was about.

OOC: I wanna join in! I'll use my new character...my Filine.

BIC: A cloaked figure walked into the tavern, the cloak was soaked from the rain, but the figure didn't remove it. The woman's features where hidden by the hood of the cloak. Long locks of Pale gold hair flowed free from the hood. She pulled her hood close as the bartender asked her what she wanted.

She Turned her face away and said softly. "Mulled wine...Hot please." She walked with an uncommon grace towards the Fire. She Sat down near it and held out her hands. Her skin was a deep Dusky tan. What was noticible odd, was that she kept her hands low, and never opened them fully, keeping the finger tips hidden.

"ohh! Lookie what we have here boys!" shouted one of the patrons. as the others in the room laughed heartily. one of the men got up and hovered over the woman. He laughed as he kicked her glass from her hands. She cried out and drew away from him, pulling her hood over her face. "Oh no you don't sweetheart!" The man hissed, as he grabbed the sodden cloak and yanked it roughly. The clasp at her throat snapped, and the cloak fell away.

The man sneered at her. Celes looked up in terror, her ears layed back and her whiskers flattened against her cheeks. Every one looked at the girl. She was beautiful...but not human. Tuffed ears peeked through the pale gold hair that fell to her waist. Her emerald green eyes where slitted like a cats, they where now so thin that the pupil was only a thin line in a sea of Green.

She lept up and backed away from her aggressor. Her hands where now splayed open, a razor claw tipped each finger. She hissed at the man, her long tail fliking in irritation. All could see that her dusky tan skin was actually covered with a fine dark gold fur. Terror filled those green eyes, terror and the wild look of a cornered animal.Freedom comes costly:

Du'Kuli sat down in a chair waiting for the others. Mirror was still to return fro the back. "Lookie what we have here boys!" The man caught his attention, looking round expecting to see the brigand man handling one of the serving wenches, Du'Kuli saw instead, perhaps one of the most beautiful creatures he had ever seen.

The feline woman was impressive, but in trouble by the looks of it, she was hissing at the man in front of her, the one blocking any escape. Standing up swiftly, Du'Kuli was preparing to help the feline woman, but caught a glimpse of razor claws and stood back. "Perhaps she will get her self out of it? Mista didn't care if the Cat-woman could help herself or not, the human was thuroughly disgusted by the men of the bar and with a THWACK she had knocked one down by slapping the backs of his knees with her bo, jabbed one in a stomach who had pulled a knife, then smacked him on the head, and then twirled gracefully around the other way to knock someone else out of his dark intentions. She then brought her bo up across her shoulders and hooked her arms over it, turning to the Cat-woman (and probably almost knocking her in the head with it, too).

"Men are pigs." She said simply. "Hi, my name is Mista Kwon. I'm not staying here too much long, just waiting on someone!" She called, hoping Mirror would get the picture. "I and some others are going on a journey to find a -- hold on." Without turning, she dropped the bo to her hands infront of her and then held it out to the side and swung it in a wide arc behind her, smacking patron in the head that had been planning to sneak up on them. Celes stared at the human woman who had come to her rescue. All could see that she was Trembling. After what seemed an eternity to Celes, Her nerves calmed, and her features relaxed, her ears lifted away from her skull, and her wiskers splayed out away from her cheeks.

"Thank ye Stranger..." She said softly, a slight purr to her voice. Her pupils dialated slightly as she looked around. "My Chosen name is Celestina StarKat...But you can call me Celes. ((Pronounced {C is pronounced as the "C" in Cell} C-Less)) "Forgive me if I have caused any trouble...I only wanted to get out of the rain." She looked at each of Mista's companions and offered a weak smile, careful not to show the sharp teeth that so many humans thought menacing.

"I will join you...If only for the protection in numbers..." she murmered softly. Celes picked up her sodden cloak and frowned. She felt her Sai shift against her back. Ku Y'leh paused upon entering Mirror's room and looked again at the pendent and gave a small gasp. She recognized it now, though it's form had been twisted. Only the white gold ring remained unchanged, unblemished. The metal seemed to twist in her hand and she dropped it as if hot.

"Whitefeather..." she muttered, her voice sorrowful. "You have fallen..."

The mage looked up at Mirror and asked where she had gotten the pendent. The other told her, looking concerned at Ku's expression. "Not Silvenesti...a fallen of my Order...this is the family crest of the Whitefeathers...though it is so twisted now I barely recognized it.

They, too, had a Centorian, a family familiar. A magical beast sworn to protect its master. That is why the ring...the Centorian must have been lost before the master was corrupted. But why lead me to you?"

The half-elf bent down and gazed at the pendent with tearing silver eyes. She didn't touch it, didn't seem to dare...then she whispered something that Mirror barely caught.

"Thus through the Balance, I forgive you...rest in peace..."

A soft light came from the cold metal then, and it reformed before their eyes. An ugliness that Mirror never noticed faded, replaced by sad beauty.

"Do you mind if I take this?" The Kagonesti shook her head silently. Ku nodded her thanks and promised to replace it with something of equal value, then tucked it safely away in her red pouch. '

Celes frowned as what little she remembered of her past came to mind...all Three Months of it. She remembered waking up on the shores of the Red sea...the Blood Sea she had heard some call it. The two burst through the kitchen, Ku grabbing her belongings as she went and they arrived in the bar.
Mirror looked around her. The barkeep had managed to put out the fire but had faitned from the exertion. There were several patrons lying on their backs unconcious and a feline woman of extreme beauty. She gave n accusing yet mishevious look at Mista.
"I thought I told you it would be better if you stayed in your seat!" Her face broke into a large grin and she ran over to give her friend a swift embrace. She then pulled a very nervous looking Ku to the foreground.

Celes kept quiet, her mottled memory darkening her mood. She shook her sodden cloak in vain as she watched the rest of the goup. Her ears twitched and moved toward every little sound. She knelt down near the small pack that she carried, and pulled out a small ivory comb, and ran it through her thick, wavy mane of Pale gold hair.

She slipped the comb back into the pack and pulled out a bit of dried and salted jerky. She bit into it hungrily, her sharp claws gripping the strip tightly. As she did so, she watched the group warily...She knew that they helped her, but many had done so in the past...only to kick and hit later on. Mista then noticed Cindertanin at his fire and took off happily towards it, going perhaps a mite faster than anticipated, and nearly threw herself head-long into the flames. She caught herself at the last minute, leaning precariously over the fire, flailing her arms and making a funny, high pitched "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" noise, until she finally settled back on her heels and took a step back, then carefully sat by Cindertanin.

When she sat, her Bo came loose of its holder and pitched forward, itself almost drawn to teh fire. Mista caught it, then tried to lay it flat infront of her, whaking Cindertanin in the head while doing so. She looked back up at the others.

Ten minutes later Richard returns with a dear and two hares. He walks off to the outskirts of the campfire and proceeded to skin them. He then constructed a holder out of branches for the meat to cook on. Richard poured some water over the wood so it would catch fire. He attached the meat and set it over the fire.
" It wont take long before the meat is done." Richard said with a grin. He then held up his hand in the direction of the meat and flames shot forth cooking it instantly. He only kept it over the fire to keep it hot.
" Eat up. We don't wanna spend too much time sitting around now do we?" He said looking to each one who had a surprised look on their faces.

((OOC: ahhhh! This is the third time I am typing this. I keep deleting it on accident...ahhhhhh!!))

Ku Y'leh jumped with a yelp as Mirror poked her and with an evil grin, pounced on the other elf. Their laughter rang through the trees as they play-faught. Mista grinned.

"Mmm...food," Ku Y'leh muttered when they seperated. She reached into her red pouch and pulled out some elven waybread and fruit. She declined any offers of meat from either the demon or Richard, though she definatly wasn't as disgusted by it as Du'Kuli, she thought, watching him run off into the woods.

She ate little and then stood. The others looked up, but she motioned for them to keep eating. The mage walked over to Mista and touched her bo. "May I?" Mista nodded.

Ku walked back to where she had been sitting, absently twirling the bo between her slender fingers. It whipped around her body in random patterns, though it was obvious the half-elf had never faught with such a weapon.

The rhythmic motion of the bo in her fingers put the half-elf in a thoughtful mood. She wrapped her mind around things like her new companions and the dwarf Mista mentioned, L'Nakia and what she was going to do to whoever was found with her tiger friend. One subject kept coming in clear and her mind refused to stop thinking about Celes. The catwoman was sitting slightly apart from the group, her expression troubled.

Ku stood once again and moved towards Celes. She continued to twirl the bo and Mista and Richard ducked as she walked past. The mage smiled, she never hit anyone she didn't intend to.

Sitting down next to Celes, Ku tried to think of something to say. Her mind blanked and the catwoman glanced at her, her expression unsure.

Finally, the mage thought of something. She dug around in her pouch and pulled out a bit of food. She offered it to Celes with a smile that said plainly, "Welcome to the group...if you ever want to talk..."

Mirror sat down on the grass, still giggling to herself from the play fight with Ku. She reached into her pouch and pulled out some Quith Pa and began to nibble. She watched as the strange half elf walked off into the forest. She smiled inwardly. She had been exactly the same when she had first started on the road, but now, the smell of cooked meat did not bother her, and she even found that she enjoyed the smell of a finely roasted boar on occasion. She never ate any of it though. She could not bring herself to do so.

She looked around the group. Richard was busy tearing into a hunk of deer, Mista was tucking into a rabbit hungrily, watching enviously as Ku twirled her bo about her effortlessly and with grace. Cindertain went off into the forest looking for Du'Kuli, shouting something about a salad. The cat woman, Celes, was sitting on her own, apart from the group, looking scared and alone. Ku went over to join her, and they bagn some kind of straind converstaion. She caught up some stange vibes from the feline woman, vibes of feeling inferior and poor self esteem. She stood up, leaving her pack and her discarded cloak on the floor, and walked over to her newest friend and the terrified cat woman. She sat down directly in front of Celes and looked her rightin her eyes. A smile touched her lips which seemed to make the reflective quality of her eyes greater, seemingly making them shine. She reached out a hand and placed it on her shoulder. Celes flinched slightly, but then remaind still under the kagonesti's touch.
"Why do you feel this way? What has happened to you in the past to make you so distustful and scared of us? We will not harm you, and I, for one, will endevour to help you in any way I can." She removed her hand. Why don't you come and sit closer to the fire with me and Ku? Wouldn't you like some of the meet that's cooking? If you do, you better hurry up and take some, because it looks like Richard and Mista are trying to polish it off between them!"Ray: It looks like a giant Jello mould!!

Du'Kuli thanked Cindertanin and after drinking some more water, he happily accepted the salad and said that he did not mind the garlic. Glad to have something back in his stomach, he sat against a tree stump. Turning to Cindertanin " Thank you for the food, i really enjoyed it. So...why is it you decided to join this quest ...if you mind not my curiousity."'From earth to sky, from leaves to roots,

Cindertanin nodded, "I am known as an assassin, but you wil understand my reasons at the end of my tale. As a boy I stood by my window, and as I got more courage I sat on the windowsil in one of the towers of my family's Castle. One morning I was struck with a black arrow, that was poisoned. The poison was meant to turn me into a full demon, I was pulling it out and fell onto the spikes of my gate."

"In the Demon world, physical bodies are composed of non-physical souls. Basically like milk turning to cheese my soul became my body, but it had changed. My brown hais was now black. My blueish eyes now just dark holes in my head. I grew very pale. Also I was dressed in black, not a bad color, but mind you I wasn't a depressing sight when I lived."

"I became an assassin, a half demon. I only kill what needs to be killed, evils, whether it be human or not. I hunted for ages those who harmed or hindered this and other worlds. It's a thrill seeing someone walking down a street and then you know that tomorrow will be his last." Cindertanin said.

"My reasons are there will be a good ammount of evil on the way, you being a half elemental should have noted this. What are your reasons, if I may ask?""You know if there was one thing I think could help this, it'd be putting a gnome in a cannon" Solaris said.

Richard threw down the rest of the deer he was eating into the fire. Then got up and walked over to Mista.
" So uh.......like.......what is this quest we're on?"he said shyly." I'm gonna help as much as i can but i want to know the dangers and obsticles so i can prepare for it." Richard continues regaining some of his composure."Splatter?I have never in my life splattered!" Fizban said to Tasslehoff.

Mista was never really worried about someone else handling her bo; she figured that since she had held onto it intact for so long she doubted anyone else could harm it without meaning to do so purposfully.

What unnerved her was an axiety of someone using greater than she. So far she had not come upon someone who could, and has been challenged by innumerous duals where she's always come out on top, sometimes literally. But she knew it was a wide world and that somewhere, someone could handle a bo better than her, lots of people must be able to! But to her to Bo was her identity, and to have someone master her at it would be to take her identity away.

Her mind turned to the goblet. She needed it to know, then maybe defeat wouldn't be so bad.

Mista watched as Richard threw the deer into the fire and sat next to her. She quickly gulped down the mouthful of rabbit.

"To find a Goblet, a Goblet once used by Paladine. I heard about it while at a tavern at my home village, some strange, lone, dwarf had come and had a few too many goblets of 'that damn awful mead'. To make sure he wasn't just trying to fool us, I researched it and found it does exist, and he knows where it is, if he doesn't have it already. I've been following his name ever since."

Ku Y'leh smiled as Mista and Richard discussed their quest and Mirror shared her sympathy with Celes. The group was coming together nicely, bonded not just by their ultimate goal.

The half-elf continued to twirl the bo between her fingers, every once in a while swinging it around and catching it with the tip of one finger. She then balanced it absently, transfering the long stick from fingertip to fingertip, then knuckle to knuckle, finally resting it on the side of her thumb. ((I can actually do that :):P)) She should have noticed that Mista was glancing at her with a troubled expression and then given the bo back but the mage was too preoccupied.

Celes was looking--and longing--for her past. Ku knew how that felt, she had once been on a quest for her own heritage and place in life. She had thought she knew who she was, who her parents were...and then her own view of the world had been torn to shreds and reformed. The end result had been both good and bad...she had been forced to destroy the evil being that had once been her beautiful elven mother but found a wonderful magic of a lost culture scattered to the winds...

The half-elf gazed up. Though still daytime, she could just make out the Phoenix Star that sat in the midst of the clouds, sparkling blue and protective. She thought of Fury and her father...

With a sigh, the half-elf came out of her reverie. Her liquid silver gaze met that of Celes's and the catwoman at once knew that the mage understood, at least in part what it was like to search for something that should never be lost.

((OOC: It's up to you people if you want to hear Ku's story. I think it's rather interesting but if we want to move on...Kalia should know what I'm talking about but she got lost in The Phoenix Star. :P That reminds me...I still have to finish that...hm...))"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and

Mirror giggled as she watched Mista and Richard talk. It was so cute to watch the mage-woodsman become so shy and clumsy with is words. A sudden thought struck her: Richard was as clumsy with his words as Mista was with her walking! For some reason, this sounded extremely funny in Mirror's head, and she began to laugh out loud. Falling onto her back in fits of hysterics she closed her eyes and laughed until her sides hurt. When the guffaws had finally dies down to chuckles, she opened her eyes and saw that Celes was leaning over her, looking at her as if she had just sprouted another head. She smiled and relayed her joke to the feline woman, who didn't find it at all funny, and continued to look at the kagonesti as if she was mad.
Mirror sighed and looked up at the stars, still giggling. "Things like that always sound more funny in your head!!"
She noticed out of the corner of one almond shaped eye that Ku had stopped twirling the bo and was looking off into the distance somewhere, preoccupied in her own thoughts. Mirror raised herself up onto her elbows and studied her new friend. "What troubles you my friend?" she asked the half elf.Ray: It looks like a giant Jello mould!!

Celes tilted her head and risked a small smile. She had always known that other human's and Elves where a little silly. Her tail flicked once and lay still at her side. Her ears remained up, and her wiskers twitched a little. She heard Mirror say something to the half-elf and she listened closely.Freedom comes costly:

Ku Y'leh watched as Mirror collasped into giggles and felt a little bit better, smiling at her friend. She even laughed a little when Mirror explained the joke to Celes and the catwoman just blinked at her.

But then Mirror had to go and ask.

The mage gazed at the ground, memorizing the colors of the fallen leaves. Then she spoke, her voice detached.

"I-I was just thinking about what Celes said and my own past..." she glanced up, looking to see if they wanted her to keep talking. Mirror nodded and Ku took a deep breath. "I grew up half in Solace with my father and half in Qualinesti with my mother...till she threw me out for choosing my magic but that's a different story. I never knew why my parents had seperated nor did I ever wonder if there was more to them...they never talked about their pasts. In fact, my mother would become quite angry if I even mentioned it. All I knew was that I was a half-elf, my parents were into magic and thus I had inherited the family power in the form of a blue star."

She paused and shrugged as if she wasn't sure why it had never occured to her as a child that a blue star was strange. "Then, after my father died...the Phoenix Star dissapeared...and a terrible silver dragon attacked me and two of my companions." As she spoke she swirled the air in front of her with one finger. Images appeared through a small vortex and a miniture roar escaped from the hole in space. Mirror and Celes could see the silver, terrible and scarred...and so very evil.

"I started on a quest with the help of a new friend of mine." Kalia Majere's face swam into view as Ku absently kept stirring the air. It was impossible to tell if she even realized she was do it, so lost in her memories was the half-elf. "She brought me to a forbidden island where I learned of the truth...or at least some of it. My parents had been prominent members of a secret city...but why it had been destroyed, not even the great gold could tell me..."

"I set out on another quest into the past..." A gleaming city of pure color entered their view. There people of all races, dressed in vivid robes of every color roamed the streets, buying selling, talking laughing...white buildings lines golden streets and every once in a while a mythical bird lost through time, the phoenix, flew into view on graceful wings. Ku Y'leh gazed on the city with longing and blinked back a tear into her silver eyes. "I miss it," she whispered. "It was so beautiful...I'm so glad I at least got to see it once...and share it with Kalia," she added, thinking fondly of her friend.

"And then..." her voice cracked and the half-elf felt she couldn't go on. She gave a small sigh and closed her almond eyes, leaning into the wind. "Don't be so sure you want to know your past..." she was heard to murmur."I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and
I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

Mirror had sat herself up, watching the images intently. She smiled as she saw her old friend Kalia, and wished they had not lost contact. When Ku was finished she stood up and walked over to her. She wrapped her arms around her in a comforting, motherly embrace. "I can't say that I understand, because i have not been in that position, but I do feel for you. I epahises with you, but never even think that maybe you'd be better off if your past was not known. To not know you past means you are only half a person, and that is why we have to help Celes." She let go of the half elf and suddenly a thought struck her. Seeing that phoneix in Ku's images made her wonder if Ku would be able to shed some light on it.
"I would like to ask you a question, Ku, if I may. We Kagonesti are known for our body art. We have it as a marking of our tribe. There was a tradition in our family. When each child was one year old a tattoo would be placed on the small of the back, and it would always be something that was symbolic to that person. My sister had a small blue dragon tattoo'd. This was actually a propechy, for she died along with the rest of my family at the hands of a blue dragon...." a pause, "But I cannot figure out why I have got what I have, maybe you will be able to shed some light on it."
She lifted up the hem of her shrit and exposed the small of her back. As Ku leant nearer she could see a small design, faded slightly through time. It was the depiction of a small blue phoneix...................Ray: It looks like a giant Jello mould!!

Celes listened to Ku's story, and nearly jumped out of her skin at Cindertanin's touch. She smiled at him gratfully, and paused to examine the tattoo on Mirror's back.

Celes frowned then remembered the small tattoo on her shoulder...a Gliph that so fat no one has identified for her...or they where too afraid to identify it for her.

"When you're done with her...Would you take a look at mine? I have no Idea what it means...I have no memory of anything past three months ago when I woke up on the shore of the Blood Sea. My past is like an endless sea of darkness spread across my mind...I don't know anything. My name...is only because of this."

Celes held out the medallion, it was imprinted with an eight pointed star on the front, and on the back was the engraved name "Celestina StarKat" She looked at it for a moment and sighed. "I want to know my past not because I don't know who I am...I am who I am...the past can't change that...but...I wan't to know Why I am...I have never seen another Filine creature in this land....I am alone here...." she said softly, her green eyes bright with sudden tears.Freedom comes costly:

Mista continued to explain how they would head south, where the dwarf seemed to be heading, when Ku began explaining what she knew of her path. Mista grew quiet and watched, truly interested, as everyone started to explain what was missing.

Mista felt this was the time. She stood, fell over the log she had been sitting on, picked herself up and brushed herself off, smiled awkwardly, and then spoke;

"This is why I am seeking the goblet as well . . . I was found by a farmer when I was 12. I couldn't remember anything, my name, my parents, where I came from or how I came to be curled up asleep in his field. He called me 'Mista' because it had been misty that morning and he had been searching for a stray calf when he found me.

Anyway, he raised me with his family and I attended to the women's chores along with his two daughters and wife. One day, however, I snuck out and was play-fighting with some of the older sons in the barn when someone handed me a broken shovel handel. For some reason, everything seemed right at that moment, it was like part of me that had always been there that I had just discovered, and after that my--the farmer crafted me a bo out of mohogany." She motioned to the weapon still in Ku's grasp. "I then spent my time protecting the village from wolves and robbers, until I heard about the goblet. I don't expect I'll be a princess or a long lost prophet or anything, I just want to know . . .well, where, and who bore me, and if they're . . . ." Her voice chocked, "still out there . . ." Richard looked up as a big black head of a dragon emerged from the trees having a deer hanging limp in its jaws. It dropped the deer and let out a deafening roar that sent flames shooting up into the night sky. It was an awsome sight to see but also dangerous to be around. Richard showed no fear as he took out a small knife from a sheath on his belt. He sent magic into the blade making it turn ice cold. The blade now looked like ice. He threw the knife right at the dragons head and it struck its left eye dead center, freezing it.

Richard then took out his great ash bow, knocked an arrow, then let it fly. It hit almost right ontop of the knife shattering the eye. The dragun swung its head in violent pain as it tried to get a bead on who hurt it. His right good eye spotted him and it lunged downward. Richard said near silent words of magic and held his hand out making the air dense, so dense you cant see through it. The dragons head slammed into it. It lifted its head and stared down. With one claw it knocked Richard out of the way then turned to the other companions.

Richard took out his sword 'Bringer of Death' and ran straight at the dragon sword in hand. The dragon was now blind and stumbling around. Richard took his cahnce and leapt onto its back. The dragon felt his presence and thrashed aorund violently. He stabbed his sword down repeatedly inbetween its thick scales. Blood poured forth. It unfolded its wings and took to the sky blindly. Richard took out a small wooden whistle from under his shirt on a leather thong and blew three times. After a few minutes of holding on for his dear life he spotted what he had called. A Griffon was flying at the dragon. Richard timed it and leapt down landing between the griffons wings. Nearly falling hundreds of feet to the ground.

"Good job Silverstrike." He said patting the griffon on the neck. He settled the griffon back down on the ground near his companions.

"Whats wrong?" he said to the stunned faces of them all. "What you havent seen a griffon before?" He continued with a smirk.

Seeing Richard on the ground and Mista over come by dragon fear, Du'Kuli became enraged, his calm elven exterior shattered and the total fury of his anger was unleashed. Sheathing his sword, Du'Kuli placed both hands by his side, palms outwards. Tensing his muscles, he slowly rose off the ground until he was a few feet off the ground.

Suspended in the air, he jerked his head backwards looking up at the clouded sky which was darkening with every second. Soon the clouds had circled around Du'Kuli and a bolt of awesome lightning streaked from the sky and struck him, surrounding Du'Kuli with a bright aura. Holding his palms outstrecthed towards the dragon he focused the aura onto his palms. There it stayed, glowing with a blinding radiance.

Screaming, the same brilliant silver lightning, jolted from his palms and darted for the dragon. However the dragon must have heard or felt the power and raised a shield, just in time for it to null the lightnings full effects. When the lightning hit the sheild, it was still enough to throw the dragon backwards into the trees which were flattend as it did so.

Falling to the ground, weakend from the attack. Du'Kuli stumbled to one knee. Looking up, he thought the dragon was finished, but it stirred and got once more to its feet. The ancient beast must have been using other means with which to see, for he looked at Du'Kuli withn such menace and threw a ball of liquid fire. Thinking that was him finished he turned to the rest of the group.

In answer to the dragons spell, "Wind Tunnel" Du'Kuli screamed and a blast of focused wind met the fire, dissapating it. Rising with a struggle he headed towards the group to help, allowing a charge of lightning build up in his hand as he ran.'From earth to sky, from leaves to roots,

Distantly she heard Mista ask for her bo...the half-elf wanted to give it back, really she did, but her hands refused to move. And then the human was gone with a cry and the dragon was being attacked by Mirror and Richard.

Dammit, move! Ku yelled at herself. But then there was no need. She sighed in relief as Richard mounted a golden griffon and beat the dragon into submission.

The half-elf sank to the ground and too late did she hear the roar of the dragon, still alive despite all their efforts. Mista and Mirror cried out but the companions were too far off and the dragon could smell his prey...

Ku Y'leh Starlite saw her life flash before her eyes for the second time in too few hours. She couldn't move, fearful and strangely resigned. It was fitting after all...

The dragon paused. It was just feet away from the half-elf now, and she could barely breath for its rank stench blowing across her face. She blinked--the movement almost foreign--and tried to figure out what fate was waiting for.

A soft musical calling filled the air, baring down on sapphire wings. With a graceful twist, a bird beyond beauty swooped down and landed on the half-elf's shoulder. It gave a wonderous cry, splendid and heartwrenchingly pure to the companions, poison to the dragon. It raised its mightly black head towards the unforgiving sky and gave one last roar of pure anger before falling back to cold earth.

Ku Y'leh stood slowly, carefully balancing the bird on her shoulder. Her confidence returned, albeit too late, and she drew her silver sword in case the dragon was not finished. Backing slowly she stood besides the companions and managed a shaky grin towards Richard.

"W-w-what, you've never seen a Phoenix before?"

OOC: :) hehe my turn!!

BIC: with a hiss of rage, Celes bolted towards the creature. The dragon roared in pain from the Phoenix, but was still very much alive. Celes vaulted over its wild swipe, to land just behind the creatures head. The Dragon thrashed trying to dislodge her, but her claws held fast to the scales. She let out a cry of rage that matched a panther scream, a scream that chilled everyone that knew it was uttered from her lips.

SHe reached for the medallion around her throat, as it gave of another flash of dark light. She pulled out her sai, and found a small spot on the back of the dragons neck that was unprotected, a scale had burned off, from the bolts of lightning. With a screech, she slammed the sai into the dragon's neck....

This alone would not kill the dragon, but the creature roared, and nearly whimpered in pain as The medallion around Celes's neck sent a single streak of Black lightning across Celes's body, through the Sai lodged in the dragon's neck. The Creature Roared Pitifully, as it collapsed, causing Celes to leap of of it, pulling the Sai with her.

Though the weapon was gone, the black lightning coursed through the dragon, causing random spasams, as the creture died.

Celes panted, her ears still lay flat agianst her skull. She held the sai tightly, even though it was dripping with the blood of the dragon. The medallion around her neck, pulsed with a dark light.Freedom comes costly:

Richard watches as Ku'Li (I cant remember how to spell everyone's name!) launches a lightning bolt at the dragon but it dispelled it and was forced back into the trees. THen he watched in surprise as Celes leapt onto its back, Stuck it with a dagger, And killed it with some sort of black lightning magic.

Richard raced over to the dead dragon and took out a dagger. He heaved its mouth open and propped it open with his sword. He proceeded to cut a fang out.

Mirror fell backwards onto the grass, exhausted. Time off the road had taken it's toll and she was, consequently, not as fit as she used to be. She sighed loudly with relief and closed her eyes, willing her heart beat to slow down and stop pounding so much in her ears!
Suddenly, for a reson unknown to her, she remembered the etching on Celes's back. She beckond the cat woman to her and asked to look at it again. Celes pointed it out and Mirror studied it closely, trying to remember where she had seen the runeic symbols before. Then it hit her. She began to explain............
"I am of the order of the silver robes, set up by the great mage and prophisiser The Thorn. The person that belongs to this order of magic is able to draw and use magic from all other persuations; good, neutral, evil, as well as some of the newer kinds of magic we are just finding out about. To cut a long story short, I fell in love with a former black robe, now silver. He had in his posestion a very unusual spell book, said to have been forged in the fires of the abyss, and it dated back to before the cataclsym. He found it on the shores of the blood sea........" she stopped hearing the air catch in Cele's throat, and she continued.
"Anyway, the book contained runes unseen by mortals for the past few centuries, and he was in the process of decoding them. These runes look exactly like those that were in his book. I know some of what the symbols mean because I helped him on occasion. See, this rune here," she traced the outline of it on Celes's back, "This rune means "experiment". And this one," she traced the outline of a rune blow the first, missing out the rune in between, "this one stands for the number eleven............." she stopped, realising what hse had just said and took a couple of steps backards from Celes, shocked.

Ku Y'leh sheathed her sapphire encrusted sword and heaved a sigh. The dragon was finally dead and the companions--she hoped--had come off better for the battle, knowing more about their respective abilities.

She watched with interest as Mirror started to identify the symbol engraved in Celes's skin. Perhaps the elf could help the catwoman regain her memory.

Speaking of memories...the half-elf looked to the sky where her phoenix guardian flew. Tantiata she called softly to the bird. It gave a small chirp and descended to its master's shoulder. She stroked the small creature's soft, cerulean feathers and silently thanked it.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot... she pictured the tattoo Mirror had asked her about and sent the mental image to the phoenix. Recognize it?

The bird gave a whistle of affirmative. A member of the Order? The bird gave a firm negative and Ku Y'leh frowned. She'd have to give this some thought...

The mage looked up in time to see Mirror back away from Celes. What was going on here?

Ku Y'leh put a hand on Mista shoulder for a second as she walked past to let the human know that the half-elf understood and was having similiar trouble trying to think of something to say to Celes. She gave a small sigh and turned to the catwoman.

"You're different," she started, wincing at Celes's stunned look. "b-but it doesn't matter. Look at me...there are those who would call me a freak, assume that I am unworthy to breath the same air as themselves...and all because my parents thought that love transcended race." she blushed then, it was hard to think of her mother loving anyone. "I-I know it's different for you...but that doesn't matter either. Whatever that man did to you...he couldn't change your mind, your soul...you've escaped him and he can no longer shape your world...unless you let him. And don't ever care about the opinions of those you don't respect, don't let them tell you that you are..."

She stopped, unsure of whether or not she was making sense. Blinking, she gazed upwards and watched Richard circle on his griffon. When she caught up with the human and demon, the mage gave a small bow in case she was interrupting anything. "Um...I was wondering, well...you are friends with a griffon. Ku Y'leh blinked at Richard. She honestly hadn't expected him to know anything of it.

"Please, tell Silverstrike that I would be most grateful and in both your debt if you can aid me in finding my companion," she turned to Cindertain. "In answer to your question, my family acquired the friendship of L'Nakia ages ago. I know not the exact circumstances, I only found out about him after my parents had both died. It is not unusual for my people to befriend magical beasts...every family has at least one phoenix guardian--or had, rather.

L'Nakia has been my best friend and constant companion for some time now and you can probably understand how it pained me when he was stolen during an incident a while ago. I tracked a pirate he had been sold to--no one knows how to use the ring, but it is valuable nonetheless--but lost him...I was tipped off as to meet someone at the Inn where we met and I took it for Mirror from several signs."

She blinked again. "That reminds me...I should take a look at Mirror's tattoo again...Is there anything else you can tell me or I can answer for you before I go do that?""I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and

Ku Y'leh cursed as her delicately pointed ears picked up the clumsy sound of hurried footsteps. She drew her sapphire-encrusted sword with one hand and used her mind to keep her magic close.

A kender stepped into view.

A kender.

A small, grinning, damnable kender.

Ku Y'leh rolled her silver eyes and groaned in frustration. Her discussion with Mirror was being put off because of a kender!

The half-elf moved to sheath her sword when the kender, grin frozen in place, twitched.

Screams erupted and Ku ran forward, yelling in denial, "Nooo!"

Richard stared up at the Balrog. He immediatly shot off a flurry of arrows all sticking in its hide but it barely noticed them. He set his bow aside and grabbed his sword. He could feel the magic energy pulsing through it. His knuckles were white from gripping the handle so hard. He added some of his own magical power to the sword and them his eyes shot open and tiny flashes appeared in his pupils. He charged at the Balrog.

It made a grab for him but he quickly doged and fought on harder. He finally backed off and stared at the creature for what seemed like hours but was in actuallity only a couple of seconds. He took his sword in both hands. Little sparks started shooting out from him. He brought the sword down with a thunderous bang. Lightning rippled across the ground, snaking its way to the Balrog. The lightning hit it full on. The Balrog was enveloped in slithering light. It bellowed in pain, confusion, and rage. The magic lightning finally exploded and the balrog let out a deafening roar. It was heavily burnt but it still acted as nothing had happened.

Richard then realised he would have to show just how much power he really had. He sheathed his sword and threw his hand forward palm up. He closed his eyes and focused his mind. Cracks appeared around te Balrog in a circular form. Richard could hear cracking and ripping sounds of roots being uprooted. Finally the ground beneath the beast flew into the air carrying it with it. The Balrog was now on a floating island about 20 feet in the air. Now while he was keeping his focus on keeping the balrog trapped. He would let the others deal with it."Splatter?I have never in my life splattered!" Fizban said to Tasslehoff.

Letting out what sounded like a laugh the Balrog jumped and put all of his weight on the floating island, sending it crashing back to where it was originally. Cindertanin glared at the beast with a blind rage.

"No physical weapons! Look at yourself Richard, a few more minutes of that and you'd start to burn, your sword is red hot an burning your sheath! This is a beast as powerful as the Abyss fires it crawled out of. The way to get it is ice, but my clan practiced fire magic." Sighing Cindertanin simply cut another tree, bashing the Balrog in the head with it.

Cindertanin had an idea, taking out a full vial of the acrid fluid he drank he flung the bottle at the Balrog, when it shattered a black binding of some kind held the Balrog in his place, for now anyway. "Balrog....caught me....pulled me from the ...air." Each breath drawn brought pain. His head was spinning and he only barely noticed the voice which was speaking to him. Attempting to stand up with Mirror's help Du'Kuli turned to the Balrog. He thought about drawing lightning but heard Cindertannin shouting something about ice magic. He might not be able to help in that area, but he would try and help to hold the creature until someone could do ...anything to try and harm the Balrog.

Raising his arm skyward, he summoned a small cyclone of air to surround the Balrog, creating a shield of wind to encircle it. Should Cindertannin's bind fail, this should hold the beast, but against it's power, he knew not how long it would last.'From earth to sky, from leaves to roots,

((OOC: Once again, I missed an entire battle. Hm...I don't really know anything about Balrogs but...))

Red cloth filled her vision, framed by the scant brown of the forest underbrush. Behind her, she heard a terrible roar that hurt her delicatly pointed ears and hoped to whichever god was listening, if one was, that her friends were faring well without her.

Long legs pumped as her footsteps whispered across rugged terrain. She wasn't nearly as silent as her full-bred cousins but it didn't matter. This human was making enough noise to wake a dwarf in a coma. His breath came in whimpering gasps, his robe snagging over and over--the whole forest seemed to be reaching for him.

Ku Y'leh gritted her teeth. Clumsy as he was, the human showed no signs of slowing his flight and they had been running for far too long already. The half-elf reaffirmed her grip on the Sword of Balance and listened hard. She heard nothing more of the battle she had left behind and was worried...

"Damn!" Ku tried to skid to a stop as the human disappeared from view but didn't quite make it. Jumping at the last second, she had just enough time to see how far she had to fall before the trees turned her vision entirely green...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Uhhh..." the mage moaned and heard an answering groan. She started to roll over and then let out a piercing cry. Splinters of pain raced up and down her leg, piercing into muscle and bone...

Her eyes clenched shut so tight that even her tears could not escape. She stopped moving and held still, trying to take deep, even breaths. Then she twitched. Fire and ice gripped her body till she lay rigid on hard stone.

The leg was broken, possibly in more than one place.

Shaking and tense, she lay there for what seemed like hours. Then she heard the human moan again and stir. She risked opening her eyes. They were somewhere...somewhere dark. A cave? She had seen no evidence of a cave and it was likely no one else would.

She attempted to sit up a bit, letting her elven vision kick in. Her skin broke out into a cold sweat, but then she saw him...laying not four feet away, blind...

The half-elf's head spun. Her elven vision seemed to be giving her a headache and on impulse she lit a small blue fire.

The human freaked. His skin was as red as his robes, blood coming from a large gash in his head. But he could stand and did so, coming at the half-elf. She tried to say something but...

"Ahhhhhh!" She saw the rock too late but the human hadn't counted on her reflexes and a bolt of magic slammed into his chest just as he slammed the stone into her throat.

Ku writhed in pain, her leg forgotten till it dislodged even farther and sent a fresh wave of agony through her broken body. After a few of the longest minutes of her life, the mage blacked out.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She awoke abruptly. The flame had long gone out and darkness once again descended over the two Enemies. She looked at the red outline that represented her Enemy...though she couldn't for the life of her remember why he was so...she just had the feeling of anger towards him...

He was a threat, that was for sure. Almost automatically, she summoned white slivers that shimmered in the darkness. They wrapped themselves around the human's arms and legs.

Somewhere in the back of her mind, the mage registered that her magic wasn't all that powerful at the moment and the human may be able to break the bonds when he woke...but that thought was lost in confusion and chaos.

She tried to speak. She had to know, what he was, why he was...

But words flared in her throat as fire. She reached up slowly and touched her neck. The skin was raw and squishy. Definatly a bruise...she thought with a mental giggle that rose through the room, taking on shape and form...

I'm delerious, she thought. And I can't talk. And I don't know where I am, nor why I am here.

Somehow this thought was highly amusing to the mage and she slipped back into unconsciousness, her urge to laugh causing more pain then her conscious mind could handle.

((OOC: Hey, I figure someone mighta put the Balrog up to it...disguised him as a kender. :)

A sharp breath escaped her lips as she once again ascended to consciousness. She moaned and opened her liquid silver eyes. A small stream of light had found its way into the cave as the sun neared the horizen. Damn...she thought. Could it really be the same day?

"Ku," the human sneered. "Do you hear them calling? Of course you do, being the half-elf bitch that you are."

Anger entered her silver eyes, and she opened her mouth to retort...then closed it again. The bruise ached and would not let any sound pass.

The human gave a cold laugh. "Speechless, are we? That's too bad. I suspect that they will be done searching this area soon...and then I shall have a lot of time to break these bonds...you're not going anywhere." He laughed again, wriggling through her magical strips and chanting, "Ku," over and over again.

What could she do? She forced herself to calm and go over her situation logically. She couldn't stand, couldn't shout...

Looking around, twisting her leg and biting through her lip in an effort to keep from crying out, the mage located the small hole from which the light was streaming. Holding her breath, she aimed and fired a small blue burst of motes up into the beam of photons...

"You bitch!" the human spat. He hadn't been paying attention, focused on his bonds instead. In his anger, the human, also a mage, finally broke free and stood. "You shouldn't have done that," he said, almost pleasant within his insanity. Then he swore as a blue bullet clipped his head.

The mage gave a small painful smile as blue wings anounced the presence of a phoenix. The human swore again and then smiled. He spoke strangely familiar words and the magnificent bird was hurled backwards and out of the cave.

She moaned softly. The human, giving a hideous grin, approached her, silver and sapphire glistening in his hand. He held her sword, the Sword of Balance, how he could wield it, she did not know...His hand twisted, revealing a small white-gold band on one finger.

L'Nakia... she mourned silently.

"I've been hunting you," he stated matteroffactly. "You and all your wretched godless people. You're worse than all of them, you know, a worthless half-elven bitch. You can't even picked a world to belong to, much less a goddess to thank for it. You should be happy I do as I do...your people are dying off anyway...I'm just speeding up a natural proccess. Life weeds out those who are impure..."

He placed the tip of her sword against the skin of her throat. "And now you die," he said simply.

Cindertanin heard cursing by some man... a good distance off, but it wouldn't take long to catch them, or....

Cindertanin appeared outside the cave, and landed on some rocks. "Ow, damnit, Why can I never land those!!!" ((OOC: Remember Magnificent 7 Starlite? hehehe, never can get those landings right!))

"So there you are Ku, here" Cindertanin said, "Okay, Ku's hurt, that looks like a broken leg, no vial this time. That mage is not friendly... I think, is he? Oh, can't talk, great this'll make things interesting. A Balrog would burn you to the ground and not think twice, also there's nothing burnt here, except maybe that buch a while back but that was my fault."

"Right okay, can you talk mage? Wait don't. I don't like you already. I think I'm gonna just sit here and see what the others think. Anybody hungry? I think you'd be, and them too after that balrog.. wow, that was a fight. It looked like a Kender. Ahh, footsteps, someone can give me advice now." Cindertanin said turning and seeing a fist land right on his forehead, sending him back into the cave, his dagger falling out and landing too far to make a run for it.

"Okay, give us the girl, and you might die slowly." A man in his twenties said to Cindertanin.

"In your dreams, I can handel you, I have done well in duels before, I'll do well in them now." Cindertanin said, removeing his cloak and glasses, and taking off his overshirt, leaving a t-shirt and pants. In the middle of the shirt coming off Cindertanin was met by yet another fist, from the same person.

"No honor among us freak!" the man said, while Cindertanin began to bleed black blood, the only color demon's have.

"Fine, lets go" Cindertanin said, hitting the man in the stoumach, which seemed to have no effect. The man did the same to Cindertanin who, doubled over and was kicked back, The mage had crawled his way out by now and was inching away like a worm.

Cindertanin cast a wall spell sealing the cave and keeping the man out. "Seems like I am out of practice... I need my dagger, where's my dagger?" He said, not being able to see. "Ku, it'll be ok, someone will find them. I bet the know who we all are too."

"You know if there was one thing I think could help this, it'd be putting a gnome in a cannon" Solaris said.
"You always want to put a gnome in a cannon" Paedon said smiling.
"Yeah, but haven't you?" Solaris added.

Mirror
02/13/2002 7:21 AM

Mirror wondered through the haze of her unconiousness. She called out Ku's name repeatedly, then sat down, dejected and sorrowful, looking very much like a bored kender. The Kagonesti looked up at the sound of a screech and noted a twinkle of saphire in the sky. The small of her back then began to get unbearably hot.
She stood up at once, the heat in her back getting more and more unbearable. Suddenly, a jolt of blue energy fell from the sky and flowed into her body. Her back arched and she began to convulse as though struck by lightning. Her eyes flung themselves open and blue light poured out of them. Suddenly, she could see evrything. She could see Ku's injury, Ku's captor, ku's prision.........................

Mirror sat bolt upright, her head still muzzy from her exhaustion and the vision. She shook her head and the natural light struck her mirrored eyes, making them glint and sparkle. The cry of a maginficent bird could be heard from high above her and she looked up in the direction.
"I know, I'm coming.........." she mumbled to herself. She got up and began to run.
Her Kagonesti legs took her over hill, dale, feild and forest, all the while the tattoo on her back getting warmer the nearer she got. Eventually, winded and panting, she came upon a cave not 20 yards from her. She breathed deeply and sprang up into an overhanging tree. Looking down from her vantage point, she could see everything. she watched as the male mage advanced on Ku threateningly.
Suddenly, and without realising she was doing it, she was out of the tree and running to get in between the man and the half elf. Her eyes took on a saphire hue, and all that cared noticed a blue arua begin to appear around her. She paused and stood in front of the mage, and spoke in a voice that was not her own.
"What business do you have keeping a child of our's prisioner? And why are you wearing that ring?"
The mage did not answer, but simply sneered. He drew out a dagger that he had kept concealed up his sleeve and advanced on the possessed kagonesti. Mirror saw what was happening and quicly reacted, delivering a roundhouse kick that knocked teeth out as well as forcing him to drop the dagger. In the moment that the mage took to try and recover, she began to say words to a spell that she diddn't know she knew. She screamed the last word and pushed her hands forward. At that moment, the mage burst into saphire blue flames.
He ran about the cave, screaming. He rolled on the ground and tried to extinguish himself, but to no avail. Suddenly, a loud eruption and a bright flash of cerrulian light singalled the death of the mage.

Mirror stood and looked as the light dissipated and located the ring, that lay on top of a heap of ashes. She bent, picked it up, then walked over to Ku. She smiled and handed the ring to her, again speaking in that voice that was not her own.
"Here child. Take this and remember that you shall always be our daugter."
With that said, the Kagonesti dropped to her knees and squealed in pain. She tilted her head back and the blue light again erupted from her eyes.
She collapsed in a heap on the floor, showing no outward signs of life. The blue light formed into the shape of a mightly phoneix and gave out an ear splitting cry and flew over Ku. A trail of blue light fell from it's tail feathers and settled on top of her injuries healing them instantly, though she was destined to always have a slight limp in the leg that had been broken.
Another ear splitting screech, and the bird was gone as quickly as it had appeared.

OOC: Woops...I got lost in the shuffle...but thats okay..I've already devised a plan for this!

BIC: Celes huddled in the back of the cave. Her mind a whirlwind of pain and fear. The pendant around her throat glowed with a dark, evil light. She winced as she tried to pull it off, and hissed angrily at her bleeding fingers.

She glared at the Man holding Ku...This man...This true Dark mage...This is the one who had created her...punished her...and worse. She flattened her ears, and crouched low, her tail twitching in her fury.

She hissed, and the man turned his attention to her for a fraction of an instant. Long enough to make the pendant flash brightly, and to hear her sudden, short scream of pain. she panted as the pain in her head faded slowly. Her green eyes narrowed into tiny slits, her lips drew back as she hissed again, softer.

The pain had reduced her to a cringing, cornered, wild cat. She trembled with fear of this man, but more than her fear, was her hatered. And it was that hatered that made her extend her claws, and leap onto the Man, and knock him over. Her claws scratched and tore, while her teeth bit what they could. What cost your pride?

IC: Du'Kuli drifted back to consciousness and realised that everyone had gone. Staring around in a daze. He had collapsed after raising the air sheild. He was already too exhausted.

Standing up, his knees shaking. Looking around again, he spotted an area in the forest and dashed off towards it. It seemed as though this was the direction every one had went in. He considered flying, but was still too weak to summon any power. On foot, as swiftly as possible, he tracked the rest of the group.'From earth to sky, from leaves to roots,

((OOC: Wow, did you people manage to mess that up! LOL!! You all just kinda went and did your own thing...hahaha.

Okay, let's see if I can make sense of this mess. Ku's in the cave with the mage poised over her, ready to slit her throat. Cindertanin shows up, throws the mage off, gets injured but manages to save Ku's life and keep off the mage till Mirror/weird person arrives.

Mirror...I have absolutely no idea who you are supposed to be or who is telling Ku that she will always be their daughter...her mother was evil and dead, her Order doesn't have any gods, her father is dead...little help?

Anyways, Mirror/weird person slaughters the mage and gives back my Ring. Tantiata (the phoenix) heals Ku as best he can (but not all the way) and then disappears.

Here's where it gets real messy. I mean it was messy before but...here's what happened (my story and I'm sticking to it). The mage who tried to kill Ku was working for the dark mage that created Celes. An apprentice, if you will. The dark mage was watching over his student and Celes found him and attacked. (I'd prefer it if he wasn't dead).

At the last second before Celes rips his throat out the mage steals the Sword of Balance (which his student threw when he died) and vanishes. And he's going to, of course, use a tool of balance to wreak havoc on the very fabric of space time--

--okay so I made that last part up. But it sounded good, right? :P I am exhausted...

Anyways, that's what happened. We're currently spread out: Ku, Cindertanin and Mirror in the cave. Celes nearby; Richard, Mista and Du coming.

We've got three more problems. Celes has seen the dark mage, wants revenge; he's got my sword/is hunting my people; and Mirror has gone crazy. :) Plus we still need to find the Goblet. Fun stuff!! :P:P:P

Does that work with everyone?))

Ku Y'leh Starlite clutched the small white-gold ring that Mirror handed her. The last few minutes--hours?--had gone by without her taking much notice; pain and confusion had taken care of that. She may remember later what had occurred...but right now, she just didn't care.

She tilted the ring into a ray of sunlight, watching as her reflection bounced back from its smooth surface. She laughed silently, she looked terrible! Her hair was matted with blood against her pale skin, her eyes dull and lost...she felt much better though...Tantiata had taken care of that and then left. The phoenix needed his rest too.

But that didn't matter either. Taking an unsteady breath, she tried to whisper. But her throat was still scratched and bruised...but that was okay. She didn't need words.

A thought later, a thin blue mist flowed through the cave. It swirled and then coalested forming a large white tiger. The magnificent beast pranced through the cave for a moment, muscles rippling under the softest fur, blue eyes taking in every potential threat with an intelligence that would seem out of place on most people.

When he was done assessing the situation, the magical creature known as L'Nakia walked to his friend's side with liquid grace. He held still as she used him to help herself up and then gazed at her with concern. She would live, and she was safe now...but her limp was pronounced and she hadn't said a word.

Ku Y'leh, for her part, felt as if she were perfectly fine...the world was all roses compared to what she had just seen...a hunter...of her people...

Pushing the thought aside--it would wait--she bowed to Cindertanin and Mirror in thanks and started to silently brush the dried blood and dirt from her cerulean robes.

The dark mage roared in anger at the woman clawing at his eyes. This had gone quite far enough. It was one thing to be fighting his own brilliant creation, it was another thing altogether to be fighting some half-crazed bitch who was trying to keep him from finishing off his own property.

Channeling his anger and dark energy, the mage sparked off a sphere of pure energy which expanded from him in all directions, effectively throwing off the woman off. The mage spun and looked at her, stunned on the ground, her hand to her spinning head.

"How dare you...?" He asked her softly, pleasure lit in his preverted gaze as he looked her over. Perhaps he shouldn't kill her, take her back to his lab...

Mista choose that moment to spit at the dark mage.

His expression soured and he leaned forward, taking her delicate neck in his inhumanly strong hands, he began to squeeze...

Blue dots filled Mista's vision as she was seperated from life-giving air...she gasped and struggled, but it was no use...

Distantly, the fading woman heard a low growl. The dark mage heard it also and turned slightly to his left. There stood a white tiger, teeth bared, his hot breath scalding the mage's eyes.

"L'Nakia..." the mage breathed. "Join me, end your sevitude to that cursed family..."

In answer, the tiger opened his mouth and placed his teeth around the mage's neck, tightening till the dark mage's nerveless hands fell away from Mista.

Ku Y'leh appeared at the top of the ridge, with Mirror and Cindertanin. She limped over to Mista and concern lit her silver eyes, but she could see that the woman would live. Helping her up, Ku went to stand next to the magical creature, which was patiently holding the mage still.

The blue robes mage placed a hand on L'Nakia's head and regarded the dark mage. There was so much she wanted to ask, to demand...

Celes came to stand near them. Ku looked at her and raised an eyebrow, clearly inviting the catwoman to ask, demand, or seek any kind of vengence she might deem necessary. "I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and

Celes winced at the pain from her shoulder and her leg. She sunk down to rest on the grass. She looked at the man she had called master for years, and shivered with the hatred that raged inside her.

She looked up once at Ku, and blinked suddenly...realizing that these people where her friends..no matter what she was..no matter her appearance...She was who she was from here on...the past didn't matter anymore.

"I don't care what you do to him...I dont care...He may have created me...and thanks to him, I managed to find some very special friends..." Celes paused. and looked down at the pendant around her neck. "I have only one question...Who was I...what Is my real Name?" she asked softly.

The mage gasped as La'Nika loosened his grip enough for the Mage to speak. "you where....My Daughter....Ember Dionne." He gasped.

Celes...Ember flinced as she heard the words. "Thank Ye...Pass on to your final places in peace...bear me no more ill will...." she gasped as she turned away from him, and softly began to cry.It takes a Heart of Steel

Ku Y'leh blinked in surprise at this change in events. She raised a hand and L'Nakia let go of the dark mage, who gasped for breath.

The half-elf pondered things for a moment. It was not this mage that had tried to kill her, though he had tried to appeal to L'Nakia...he obviously didn't like her Order...but he was Celes's father...

The dark mage looked up at her, his dark eyes glittering with an unspoken promise. He raised a hand slowly towards Celes in farewell. The white tiger lept forward, but it was too late. The dark mage was gone.

Ku Y'leh sighed. Her expression turned thoughtful and she turned towards the forest. Her leg ached something dreadful, but she figured she should walk on it. Starting off, her tiger at her heels, she headed into the underbursh without looking to see if anyone followed.

She soon discovered Du'Kuli, wandering around weak from loss of blood. Settling him down on the soft earth, she silently started tending to his wounds."I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and

"Thank you. I thought that every one was gone...I mean you all dissappeared. Where were you? Where are the others?" Du'Kuli asked, his voice weak.

Ku Y'leh just smiled reassuringly and placed her finger to her lips. He was badly injured and she was not much of a healer...

L'Nakia? she thought.

Yes? the tiger answered.

We should get him back to the others. Perhaps they can do something...

The tiger's blue eyes grew every more concerned then they had been, if that was possible. Are you sure you're strong enough...?

In answer, Ku Y'leh brought her magic about her, creating an impromtu stretcher made of magical threads. It instantly exhausted the mage, but she managed to hold it long enough the tiger to drag Du'Kuli over to the others.

Dismissing her magic, Ku Y'leh sat on a large rock and tried to even out her breathing. She noted, with some amusement, that Celes...no, what was it? Ember was going around hugging each of the companions in turn.

A moment later, a strange voice rang through the companions' minds. Can anyone do anything for him? Tantiata won't be back for a while...

The companions looked around in confusion as Ku looked at L'Nakia in astonishment. It was the first time that magical beast had spoken to anyone but her...

Ember turned toward Du'Kuli and caused the wind to dance and swirl in her midsts, picking up little silver motes (WTF is a mote?!?) which she sent to Du'Kuli, healing him.

Geigenkel stumped over the ruins. He had collected many treasures here and in other parts of the world. Occasionally someone would find him and trade for a relic.

He ran a caloused hand through his grey beard, then wiped the sweat from his brow. He lifted the cart of rubble and began to push it to his dumpsite. His excavation was coming along nicely, with noone around to bother him.

His blue eyes glanced at his tent. He kept most of his finds in there, along with his personal possessions. The dwarf sighed loudly and turned back to his work. He loved working with the earth but sometimes he missed talking with people. Well, not kender, they were annoying. And definately not gnomes, because you could never get a word in edgewise. And the elves, with their higer then thou attitude. Well back to work, he thought."Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?"

Du'Kuli stirred and came back into the waking world. Turning towards Ember he knew that she had healed him. Words did not come to his lips, they were blocked by the awe he had for her. However his thanks were seen in his eyes. That healing light had been beautiful. The only time he had felt such peace and warmth was when he had been in the presence of Paladine whilst dreaming.

Standing up he looked around the companions. Mista was getting a massage off Richard, with a huge grin on her face. "So what have i missed. You all seemed to have had some fun without me?'From earth to sky, from leaves to roots,

Mirror stalked akwardly over towards the rest of the group, the stiffness in her joints apparent to all who watched. She shook her head groggily and scratched her scalp with one hand, while the other hand went over her mouth to stifle a yawn. Her hair looked like birds had nested in it for a week, and when her eyes opened, thier reflective surface had a glaze over them, as if she had been sleeping heavily.
"Where have I been and what the bloody hell have i been doing?" she asked, attempting to rub the stiffness out of her thighs without any success. "I feel like I got sat on by a Minotaur who has been on a binge eating program!"
She looked at Richard and Mista and giggled. "You go Mista sweetie!!!!!"
she yelled totally untacktfully in their direction. The wide smile retreated to a small flinch as Mista shot her an "shut up you idiot" look.
Mirror saw how close Du'Kuli and Ember were getting and smiled to at them. "Love deffinately is in the air for you guys, isn't it?!" she chuckled as she sat down on the grass. Ku Y'leh sat near a small blue fire which writhed and danced, creating a beautiful shadow on the nearby trees. The mage stared at the shadow and sighed happily.

Her friends were gathered around her fire, chatting away and resting. L'Nakia was off hunting. Her voice was coming back too...though it was still scratchy.

Ku?

Yes, L'Nakia? she answered.

You'll never guess what I found. The tiger laughed, a soft meowing sound.

What? Ku called back, smiling.

A kender dwarf!

What?

Well, a dwarf, but he sure has as much stuff as a kender. He's digging through some dirt looking for something...I'm on a rock watching him. He hasn't noticed me yet.

Ku Y'leh laughed softly and was pleased with how clear the sound was.
How far are you from here?

Pretty far. I followed a deer...maybe a day's walk. I'm going to keep watching him for a while.

Geigenkel hunkered into his tent. Dusk was coming and about this time everyday he cataloged some of the items he had unearthed. Closing his tent flap behind him, the dwarf lit a small lantern.

He sat on some pillows that were placed on a nice rug and removed a book from its spot in the tent. Placing it in front of him, he began to remove object and compare then to several sketches in the book. It had been a productive day.

Mirror lay on her back looking up at the stars. She sighed. Why was it that she always managed to alienate people. All she was doing was joking with them, but people always took her dry sense of 'nudge nudge wink wink' humor the wrong way and ended up offended. She played with her hair idily as she pondered, picking out as many of the knots that had appeard some how as she could. Once she had accomplished that, she sat up and pulled a hair brush out of her pack, trying to tame the wild white mess.

She looked around at the rest of the people in the camp, each involved in his or her own thoughts, each one of them seemingly forming an unspoken bond of comradeship. She sighed, and realised just how much like an outsider she felt. She told herself that she was being silly, that it wasn't like that at all. She would have convinced herself aswell if it hadn't been for that little nagging voice at the back of her mind that kept telling her she meantnothing to any of them, she wasn't part of the group.

She put the brush back into her pack and silently shouldered it and her quiver and bow and stole away into the nearby foilage.

Later That Night . . .

Mista tossed and turned. She finally flopped on her back and stared up at the stars. She had to pee. Quietly, she stood form her tangled bedroll and crept to an indiscreet corner of the forest. Once she returned, she stood for a moment and looked around the camp. Richard was so cute when he was asleep! She lay down and stared up at the stars, just thinking. She frowned. She sat up and looked around camp.

"One, two, three. . . ." She counted silently. "Hm." She closed her eyes and ticked off her fingers, "Richard, Ku, Ember . . ." She looked around the camp again, then suddenly gasped. "Mirror!" She got up and stumbled around, looking for her friend, but couldn't find her.

Mista, silly, she probably went out for a little privy time like I did just now! I know, I know, but still . . . where's her stuff? Maybe she got hungry. I'm kind of hungry too . . . I shouldn't worry, she's all right, but where? I wasn't too nice to her earlier . . . she was only joking, right? well, I didn't think it was funny, but I should appologize . . .

Mista pulled on her jacket and went to pick up her bo, but decided against it. I'll just be out for a little while, and I don't intend on killing anything . . . She thought. She pulled her jacket around her and looked about, trying to decide where Mirror had gotten to. She picked a direction that seemed good to her (more or less out of random), and tripped off into the night, periodically whispering "Mirror! ((OOC: Okay, Mirror. Lol. Just remind me later to figure it out and write it in somewhere...))

L'Nakia crept through the darkness, stealing up on the dwarf's tent. The tiger peered inside, his blue eyes glittering in the night, curious and with a hint of a feline grin.

The dwarf sat, muttering to himself, labeling and sorting, writting in a small notebook. He looked as pleased as a dwarf could...

The magical creature crept forward, hoping to hear what the dwarf was muttering. He was curious and Ku was sure to ask...

A loud roar sounded in the distance, and the dwarf's hands jumped. He cursed, glancing around nervously and then went back to writing.

L'Nakia glanced up. He recognized the roar. A common blackbear but it seemed near. The tiger glanced into the tent and sighed. Of course the dwarf would have food...

Laying down, the tiger kept watch on both the busy dwarf and the nearby woods. Hours passed and L'Nakia was just falling to sleep when the roar sounded again. Instantly awake, he looked up just in time to see the bear, agitated by something, crashing towards the tent. On his feet, the magical creature bared his teeth in warning but it was no use. The massive beast surged forward and met L'Nakia head on, bowling the tiger over and slamming into the tent...

----------------------------------------------------

"Here child. Take this and remember that you shall always be our daughter."

Ku Y’leh rolled over in her sleep, sighing a little. She heard something, a whisper and footsteps…someone calling out to Mirror…grass rustled and the half-elf decided she was dreaming…

The blue light formed into the shape of a mighty phoenix and gave out an ear splitting cry and flew over Ku. A trail of blue light fell from it's tail feathers…

“What business do you have keeping a child of ours prisoner?”

A face swam before her. Mirror? Not Mirror? …mother?

She blinked, her eyelids feeling as lead. Not mother, not Mirror, but yes, Mirror! No…

…the Kagonesti dropped to her knees and squealed in pain. She tilted her head back and the blue light again erupted from her eyes. She collapsed in a heap on the floor, showing no outward signs of life. The blue light formed into the shape of a mighty phoenix and gave out an ear splitting cry and flew over Ku. A trail of blue light fell from it's tail feathers…

"Hmph. No mirror." Mista said. Her voice quivered. She looked about the dark woods that leaned in on her. "Great. Now, which way was camp?" She turned around. Forest. She turned again. More forest. She turned again.

Bear.

Mista would have screamed if suddenly her voice hadn't fled her. She stood stock still as the creature snuffled the ground, coming closer. What to do? What to do? Why'd I ever leave my bo! She thought madly. She took a few hesitant steps away from the bear, and tripped, landing on her back.

The bear looked up.

The bear came forward.

Mista grabbed a branch that was nearby and thwacked the bear over the head with it. The branch splintered, part of it wheeling off into the darkness.

The bear grunted, surprised, and then roared.

Here, Mista found her voice. She screamed as she jumped up, turned and ran, the bear in hot pursuit. She knew she'd never be able to outrun him, and knew that if she climbed a tree he'd just be right up there with her, but soon all her problems were solved as she unknowingly reached the edge of a ravine and was suddenly pitched forward, wheeling down, tumbling, head over heels over head, through leaves and slugs and twigs and stones, her shoulder hit a tree, her leg scraped a rock, and by the time she ended up in the stream at the bottom, she was a real mess. Fortunately, she was a mess the bear didn't really care to bother with, and with a grunt at the top of the ravine, turned off to seek other prey.

Mista crawled from the stream and curled up in a pile of leaves. A cut on her forehead beld freely. Her leg stung where the rock had sheared the top layers of skin. Her left arm felt broken. She cried.

((ooc; please, no one find me for now, I'm having fun being lost!!! Or rather, I, as the Supreme Power over my characters, am having fun losing Mista in the woods!

Mirror had climbed up into the trees and was silently making her way from bough to bough through the forest. She stopped on one that overlooked a small clearing, and shighed, looking down at the ground. She felt so alone. No one really liked her. Why was she even travelling with them? They wouldn't even tell her what had happened to her, or why she had woken uo with something that was akin to the worst hangover in her life. She snorted derisively and then felt tears well up silently and wothout warning in her eyes. Why couldn't they just be her friends and like her for who she was.......................?

She paused in her self pity when she noticed Mista walk into view, unarmed and whispering Mirror's name, trying to locate her. Mirror held her breath. Why was Mista looking for her? Why would she do something like that? The last time she had seen her, Mista had seemed really angry with her. She didn't want Mirror around, so why was she looking for her. She was about to jump down and see what Mista was doing when a bear snuffled and loped its way into view.

Mirror hitched her breath in even further and willed Mista to back away and get back to camp, using all her positive thoughts to make sure Mista stayed upright and didn't fall................................................

.........over!

Too late!

Mista picked herself up and screamed, running away as fast as she could possibly go. Then when the two had dissapeard, Mirror heard the sound of falling rubble, breaking tree limbs, and a loud desperate scream.

"Mista!!!!" Mirror cried, her concern for her friend outwighing any feelings of inadequatcey as a friend and travelling companion that she herself had. She lept down and began to run after the two.

A short distance away she noticed the bear coming back towards her. It seemed to be almost smiling, licking it's lips as it went. Mirror assumed the worst and thought that the bear had eaten her friend. She let out a fierce battle cry and ran at the bear, mubling words of magic as she went. Lightning spred from her finger tips and crashed into the bears snout. It reared up on it's hind legs and roared in pain. Quick as she could, Mirror ran behind the bear while it was still pawing at it's charred snout and nocked an arrow to her bow, letting it fly and piercing it in the hind quaters. She let another one fly, but the bear was running away from her as fast as it could in the opposite direction, loping akwardly with it's damaged rear. She let another arrow fly for good measure and took off after the beast, tears streaming down her face.Ray: It looks like a giant Jello mould!!

((ooc; Ooooo, good one, Mirror!!))

Mista thought she heard the bear again, thought she heard someone scream, but she also knew she was in a lot of pain, and thought the sounds were just those that came to one in death.

I've got to stay awake . . . She told herself, got to stay conscious. . . She struggled to sit up and surveyed the damage. With much difficulty, she constructed a sling and splint out of her tattered jacket and branches. She washed in the stream and then failed to tie anything around the major wounds on her her leg and head. She brushed blood-matted hair angrily from her eyes. If anything comes searching for me, they'll find me pretty quick, She thought, looking down at the mix of blood, mud, and leaves that she had so far dragged about. She followed the stream for a while and then plopped down on a rock.

((OOC: Okaaaay then. We seem to have backtracked a bit...:) No problem, just hope you don't mind me controlling your char for a minute, Mirror...))

Mirror ran through the woods, chasing the beast that had killed her friend, knocking arrow after arrow, though they seemed to do nothing to the animal's thick hide.

After a few minute she realized that the bear had taken them in a circle and she was back near the ravine. Enraged, the elf sped up, determined to catch the bear and avenge her friend.

But the bear stopped. There was a roar and an answering growl, signaling the appearence of yet another large animal. Mirror edged closer in time to see the bear charge and crash into a tent...

L'Nakia struggled, claws ripping and tearing at the bear's hulk, trying to get out from underneath the massive animal. He was worried about the dwarf, though the tiger could hear movement and figured he would be okay.

The magical creature finally got out from under the beast, and just as he did an arrow went flying past his ear. Growling in anger at two threats, the tiger lept to the side. The bear, with its one track mind, went for the first target it saw.

The dwarf.

Lumbering towards the dwarf, who was busy picking up his papers, the bear lept forward, saliva dripping from its mouth, its stomach nearly as loud as its roar...but the bear wasn't quick nor graceful enough and missed his mark as L'Nakia sailed past, the dwarf's shirt caught firmly in his mouth.

The bear roared in rage and came at L'Nakia, who deposted the dwarf at the base of a large tree. They fought, but the magical creature was too strong for the bear and recognizing this, the bear gave in to seek its meal elsewhere. Dropping to all fours, the bear walked off towards the scent of several deer.

The tiger didn't relax, his narrow eyes peering into the dark. There was still another threat and his instincts demanded that it be taken care of. An elf...he smelled an elf...turning silently into the night, the tiger began to stalk the elf...

Geigenkel stared back at the mess that was his tent, then turned to see the bear retreating. Finally his eyes landed on the tiger. "By Roerx beard, you forest animals sure make a mess," mumbled the dwarf.

The digger trundled back to the destruction, once again picking up different things. Well, it looked like his work here was done for the time being. Never once did the thought cross his mind that the tiger hadn't attacked. His only concern was for his work.

Geigenkel started first by removing the remainder of his tent. Tossing it off to one side, for it was no longer serviceable, he began to stack papers and jam objects into a very large sack. Some he wrapped in small pieces of cloth, others he just tossed in.

His lantern was broken and would have to be replaced. He tossed that onto the junk pile that was his tent. To that pile he also added a writing quill, his torn shirt and small porcelain bowl. He put on a new shirt and sinched up his pack. He carefully tied his bed roll onto the bottom and shouldered the pack. The dwarf picked up a used war hammer and placed it into a loop in his belt.

As Geigenkel spun to head to the nearest town he realized that someone was staring at him from the edge of his camp. "Well, don't just stand there," he said to Mirror, "We have to get to town so I can replace this stuff." He waved his hand over the junk pile he had created. Without waiting for an answer, the dwarf stumped off."Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?"

IC: A sudden roar sent Ricahrd bolt upright from a slight sleep. He looked around. Mista, Mirror and Cindertanin were gone. But Ricahrd main concer was about Mista. He had formed a liking to the girl over the time they had spent together. He heard another roar and deciding he better try and find her. He grabbed his sword. Got all his gear together, and set off in the direction of the growls.

Richard made his way through the forest like a true woodsman. Not leaving a track nor broken twig. He was silent as a Veteran Assasin. He finally found a ravine with broken branches and blood all the way down. He used his magic and knew Mista had gone this way. He put the whistle he wore around his neck adn blew into it. Even though it made no sound he knew it would work.

As Richard looked up he saw at once the small dot in the sky spiral down to him. His dear friend SilverStrike the griffon flew through the trees and landed next to him.

"Friend, i need you to scout the skies for Mista. She went off somewhere in that direction."he continued. "Report back with any findings."

Mirror stood on the outskirts of the dwarfs camp, panting slightly and still letting the tears fall down her face. She looked around her, and suddenly felt so scared and alone. All she wanted was for someone to look after her, be her friend. She wiped her nose with her sleeve and looked very much like the small child she was when her village was destroyed by the blue dragon army. She stared as the dwarf poked and prodded around the rubble of his camp, trying to salvage anything that was useful.
When the dwarf spoke to her, she jumped as if struck and looked terrifed. She watched as he clomped off, took one last look around her surroundings and decided she'd be safer with the dwarf. She caugth up to him. Their walk was silent for a moment, and then Mirror sniffed and extended a hand to the dwarf. "My name is Mirror," she spoke softly.

L'Nakia stalked slowly towards the hunted, when he heard her speak and introduce herself as Mirror...hm...the voice sounded familiar.

Reaching out to his half-elven friend, the tiger frowned. Ku was having a dream and a bad one at that. So she shouldn't mind being woken...

The tiger did so. What? she called, sounding as if she hadn't gotten any decent sleep in a year.

He quickly recapped what had happened with the bear and the dwarf and then asked if she had ever heard of an elf called Mirror.

Sure, I have. Have you found her? She ran off...she was the one that saved me.

L'Nakia raised an eyebrow in a very human expression and continued to move towards the elf who had shot at him. His footsteps were light and she did not hear his approche, nor see his sharp teeth bared...

With a playfull growl, the tiger pounced lightly on the elf, knocking her over onto a bed of leaves. He purred at her startled expression and began to snuggle as a kitten might...

He'll probably frighten lots of people in town so let me handle the talking," he said, staring at the tiger that was now on top of Mirror."Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?"
"You don't need any help from me, sir."
"That's right." - Clue

Richard lightly walked though bloodstained leaves and sticks. He used his magic again and located her a few hundred yards in the distance. All of a sudden a loud crach and a flurry of leaves brought his attention to his right. A furry shape plowed down the ravine, tripped, and crashed through some trees. It got up and and growled right at Richard. It was the bear. (hey i had to bring it back :) )

It ran straight for him. It obviously had come back for its meal. Instead it found Richard. Richard pulled out his sword and ran straight for the bear. He leapt up and sent a surge of magic energy through the sword. It burst into flames. Richard eyes mirrored the flames as he broguth the sword down. Two halves of the charred bear flew to either side. Richard sheathed the sword and looked back down the trail.

This time he was full of more concern. What if i wasn't fast enough and it got Mista? He raced down the path and saw he stumble forward in the distance. She was in bad condition and was struggling to move along.
He reached her in no time.

"Mista!" He yelled at her. "Here let me tend to your wounds."

Richard lifted her arm in his hands as she looked at him in shock. He passed his hand of the break in the bone several times and he knew it was healed. He stood back and held both hands forth. Mista was enveloped in a golden hue. That would take care of any minor scratches or cuts.

"Well your valiant hero is here." Richard said with a chuckle."Splatter?I have never in my life splattered!" Fizban said to Tasslehoff.

Mista was quiet out of shock as Richard tended to her hurts, but as she felt her renewed arm, her eyes watered, and she suddenly threw her arms around him and wailed out in racking sobs.

"I'm so sorry, Richard! I got up and Mirror was gone and I felt bad and wanted to appologize and I couldn't find her and I got lost and then the bear attacked and I fell down the ravine and I heard the bear again and I was scared, I was so scared, but I didn't know where camp was and I was so lost and all I could think of was ... was ... I couldn't think, I was so scared, I'm so glad you found me, I'm sorry about the bear! I didn't know he was so close I was afraid he was going to get me and I haven't found Mirror and I'm soooooorrrrrrryyyyyy!!!!!!" Cindertanin overheard the speach and witnessed the bear attacks but was at that moment to damned lazy to do anything. "Humans and their constant relationships," cindertanin began, "It makes me sick..."

((OOC: If you want to know why I can go into his whole history, and explain, but if not, okie! He has a reason to hate relationships, but it's not relevant to the story so I am not sure about posting the whole thing.))"You know if there was one thing I think could help this, it'd be putting a gnome in a cannon" Solaris said.
"You always want to put a gnome in a cannon" Paedon said smiling.
"Yeah, but haven't you?" Solaris added.
