Leiliea sighed as she rode on. Her Dapple Grey Stallion struggled with the reins breifly, as impatient as his rider. "Come on Liana! If you don't keep stopping every five meters, we would've been in Palanthas by now!

Liana stuck her tounge, and stood. She straightened out her Golden scale mail, then lept up into the saddle of her Dun Mare. "Sorry!!" she called, as she spurred LightHeart into a gallop.

Leiliea shook her head, her long silver hair falling loosely around her shoulders. Liana Tied off her single long braid of Golden hair. "Really! I am! It's not my fault that LightHeart threw a shoe!" She said patting the Mare's shoulder.

Leiliea struggled to keep her smile in check. "you're the one who shoed her in the first place! Do you see MoonGlow throwing one of his shoes??So it is your falt my dear twin!" she giggled, her topaz eyes gleaming.

Liana's amber eyes widened in breif shock before she joined Leiliea in the laughter. Leiliea's voice quieted first, and the Elven Maid smoothed down her White robes. She pulled something out of a pouch, and tossed it into the air, and muttered something softly...

Out of the air itself, a shimmering map hovered in the air before them. "thats okay...we're only a day's ride from Palanthas anyway. We had better camp for the night though...It's getting late."

Liana nodded, and scouted ahead for a good campsite."The world is not enough, but it is such a perfect place to start"

Paedon jogged by a dusty plain, a wound in his shoulder bleeding more than needed. "Damned goblins, can't even backstab right, rather my arm than my back though." Paedon mumbled as he ran off trying to avoid chase. PAedon healed his wound quickly and unsheathed his white blade that began to glow brightly.
"Oh, great, well if they have family, they'll find me." Paedon tightened the white headband on his forehead, adjusted his formal clotheing "On my way to a party in Palanthas, good greetings from the likes of it." Paedon was glad he at least had a sword, his armor gone, he was now lots faster than with it, but that wasn't really important. three goblins with seords in full armor were making chase, the fourth bashed with the blunt end of Paedon's weapon. Paedon senced two people also in the plains. *Not their problem. I' deal with this on my own* Paedon thought thrusting into the lead goblins chest, hopeing it wouldn't bleed too much on his nice blade."A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "Where?"
Tas whispered something, poking the old man.

A tremondous explosion rocks the earth and draws the eyes of everyone to the sky, where a zepplin once was, lazily floating above the land now is a flaming ball of fire falling to earth off in the distance. Two blocks of white can be seen against the sun and as they come closer you pick them out as parachutes. The parachuters are two gnomes who come to land near the twins camp site.

"Didyouseethat?!Amazingdidyougetthelastthermoratingofitbeforeitblew??" Asks one grease covered gnome to the other. He doesnt even have his parachute off before he takes out a small notebook and begins frantically writing down notes, speaking them aloud as he writes. "Estimatedairtimetwentyfiveminutesthirteensecondstravelingspeedapproximatelyfifteenknots." As the one gnome frantically writes down his notes, the other notices the twins and approaches.

"Ohhello." The gnome says rather slowly when compared to the normal rate gnomes speak. The gnome is dressed in a orange shirt which is tucked in to brown trousers with a green vest covered with countless pockets filled with tools. His face is clean shaven and he pears down at you behind one inch thick glasses. His large brown eyes are even more larger when magnified behind the glasses. Due to the glasses the gnome is forced to lean forward and squint to make the two out. He extends a grease covered palm to Leilia and then Liana.

"OtherracescallmeJeedleSparkplugThisismyfriendandbusinessassociateSedly." He says and finally the other gnome looks over and notices the twins.

"Wellwhoisthis?" The gnome asks as he joins Jeedle, his black eyes falling curiously on Leilia and Liana. Sidly (pronouced Sid-lee) is dressed in a black tunic (whether it is naturally black or just covered in grease is unknown) and draped over his shoulders is a green cloak with orange trim, pointed black shoes with a shining gold buckle on the tongue of the shoe adores his small feet. A lone figure made his way down the trail. He wore plain black robes, with the hood cast down, obscuring his face. His belt was adorned by several different weapons all known to be used by mages, including clubs, daggers, and even what seemed to be a large tooth with a small handle. His strangest feature, however, was what he wore on his hand. It was a steel claw-like weapon attached to his wrist, with the blades going past his fingertips. After several minutes of slowly walking, he came to a stop by the camping space. Without looking at the twins or the gnomes, he said in a slightly raspy voice, "Greetings. My name is Bayne Semaj. I am weary from travel and wish to rest here."Stupid people do stupid things, smart people outsmart each other.

Dellin Windbringer was walking off the path as was his usaly habit, Knowing that few races of any type were very receptive of half-elfs. During his usal walk around the country side he noticed a man running that appeared to be bleeding from his arm, his curiosty peaked he hid in the shadows of the large tree. The man began to speak words softly that even his hightened sense of hearing didn't notice. The man's hands gave off a glow and the would healed up to wear it would no longer allow the man bleed to death. When the glow died down the man drew forth a blade of white that began to glow. Curiosity peaked he dared move to get a better look. "Goblins..." he mumbled to himself. Dellin pulled his bow, Windbringer, from his shoulder. A bow crafted by the elves and imbune with the essense of the wind elemental, It's wood an unatural white was often seen just before the arrow was loosened and darted towards it's target with acceleratored speed than that of a normal arrow. Dellin steadied his shot aiming at the third goblin that had not yet reached the man's sword range. The arrow is loosened and impails the goblin through the chest with such a force that the goblin thrown upon his back. With a smirk Dellin lowers his bow trusting that the man will finish the last of goblins off in a couple sword movements.

Paedon spotted the arrow, elven in makeing, Paedon ducked in time to barely avoid the made that the remaining goblin had. "Would you calm down, you'll die if I don't stop from cutting your ugly green head off." The goblin looked at Paedon with blind rage and charged.
"I warned you about that." Paedon said extending a hand hurtling the goblin back several feet. "Guess I''ll have to fight you then."
Paedon took from a bag on his belt what looked like a small dart. With 2 fingers it was thrown into the side of the goblins neck.
"That's poison tipped you know, shouldn't take long. That was a vein I hit, by the way. Your little lungs are burning as the poison goes from the blood to them, being as they needed to get oxygen. That was your heart getting infected. Oh, seems you have seconds left. Here." Paedon said throwing a botle at the goblin who drank it quickly.
"Be glad I'm merciful and leave me be. As a warning you'll have a blinding headache, and for three hours, go blind. That was what was in that vial, along with the antidote." Paedon said chuckling at the poor goblin who would live, but not very happily, at least for 3 hours.
Paedon walked over to the tree where the arrow came from. "Well, I see we have someone with elven blood on this tree. I'm Paedon Wells, Dreamknight. I was on my way to a party, I'm sure they have elf blossom whine, which I bet you're used to. I have no taste for it myself. I would like to bring you as a guest though." Delling steps out from behind the tree from wich he was concealed, the one next to were Paedon was looking. Dressed in a dark green tunic, and leggings. He stood about 5 ft 6 in. His hair was a darker color mostly from dirt. Most of his facial features were concealed with a hooded cloak of the same color as his tunic. Opposite of his side quiver hung a short sword of very poor quality that can be seen from just a glance, it appeared to be unused. "I'm not sure i'm quite dressed for a party, but who am I to turn down a drink. I'm Dellin Windbringer. Uhh... a couple things.. Why were their goblins chasing you? I know they are prone to fits of irrational behavior, but this area is far to "clean" for them. What's a Dreamknight? and... "Myself and my companion here meet a nice young man by the name of Ariakan. He was the one who told us of this continent and gave us this map. He said he was traveling there and informed us of a barbaric empire he thinks inhabits the continent. And thats where were going." Jeedle speaks with confidence and settles down, taking off his backpack.

"Palanthas is just a pit stop. We spent our time traveling from Mt. Nevermind to here testing our machinary in prepartion to cross the ocean." Jeedle looks back to where the zeeplin exploded. Dellin reaches down and draws out his short sword, looking it over. "Mmm, rust yea... Might as well learn to use it properly if i'm going to carry one. One thing I seem to always get nervous when i'm fighting hand to hand, even if it's with something as puny as a goblin. Perhaps it's just the lack of confidence in my abilities... I donno... It's something i'll learn, still young yet." Dellin smiles then sheathes his blade and stares down the path to where the sound of horses came from.

"You trained soldiers to wield magic with thier swords?, that's interesting... Like the magic of the moons? Any magic i've dabbled in always seemed to be more... natural... Perhaps i'm just misinturperting it, i've never really sat down and talk to a mage of any level."

Looking down the path Dellin makes out 2 figures upon horses, Elves.. Dellin says to himself. Dellin then tries to make out who else is in this group.
There seems to be 2 Gnomes, and a black robed figure that covers his features with the hood of his cloak, much as Dellin does.
Perhaps that person understands a few of my perspectives on being shunned by your own people... people... funny how that sounds. A half-elf has no "people" Dellin muses.

The chilled voice emerged from deep shadows and all turned to see a figure in the distance, melting in and out of the darkness. He was dressed as a ranger, though entirely in black with a flowing cape that seemed made of clothe one second and liquid dark the next.

He stood entirely still under their scrutiny, almost as a statue till the companions had to wonder if he had ever spoken at all. One by one they noticed subtle movement--his eyes writhed as molten shadow, gazing through them.

The silence stretched till a near-invisible smile ghosted across the stranger's face. He began to walk forward with awkward grace, as if reluctant to deal with so many people. Upon reaching the twins, the stranger bowed low. His liquid cape shimmered and shifted, revealing twin scimitars made of, of all things, obsidian.

"Greetings, Liana, Leiliea. It has begun."

"Twin souls bathed in light, the sun is lit by the Tripple moon. Two become one...one soul, one Body...One doorway...The Dark Queen Beconds"

Liana gasped and stared in fear towards her Twin. She reached out, and the moment her fingers touched Leiliea's arm, The silver haired girl snapped out of the odd trance.

Obsidian scimitars alighted into the stranger's dark hands as the other opened a magical portal and attempted to pull another in with him. The shadow man stepped in front of the second portal that had opened behind the twins and turned his stony gaze on the first, wondering if the second man would be forced to leave or struggle and stay.

He then turned to the twins, his writhing eyes, mirroring a tormented soul, focused especially on Leiliea. "You do not have to go there. Linearos looked up at the sound of the voice. A unicorn, in all her fair stature, stood in front of him, her gaze staring up into the sky.

"Forestmaster, forgive me...I could not stop...the prophecy."

"Now is not the time to grieve, Linearos. What has been done can be undone. Look there," she turned her gaze toward the voices.
"There are the people that can help finish this."

Linearos looked into the grove of trees and stared at the party there.

"Forestmaster, surely a more-"

"There are other forces in the world at work, Linearos. Some more unlikely then those there."

He still looked doubtful. "I...I understand, Forestmaster."

"Then I bid thee farewell and good luck." She disapeared.

"But can I undo the what I have been meant to do, Forestmaster?.." he whispered softly to himself

Linearos hesitated for a moment, then walked into sight of the different assortment of people. His gaze locked together with Inkoyca. He could feel him probing his mind, memory, and soul.

He spoke slowly, but loudly, "You cannot avoid something that has already arrived, maiden, but you can force it away. I too, have been sent to aide you, thought it was under different circumstances than he."

Though he looked at all of them, Linearos' attention lingered on the black robed mage, and he kept a hand on his sword under his cloak, making sure no one could see it.

I know whatcha mean. That was fun, wasn't it? :)))

Inkoyca gazed at the elf for a long second and then gave him a small bow.

"It is left to you now, young maidens, to decide what and whose help you wish to accept. Do not undertake this decision lightly! It shall effect all that transpires here, whether for good or bad, I cannot say."

He gazed around at the companions with writhing eyes, meeting each of their gazes in turn, measuring their souls. He ended with the twins and then stood quietly to await their decision and the judgement of those whose vision he had touched.

Inkoyca frowned so slightly that the other companions could not have notice. Sweeping his long, black cape around, he took his twin obsidian scimitars from his belt and looked first at the elf and then at the woods.

"Are you sure?" he muttered, before taking a step towards the forest. The shadows seemed to flow up and swallow the strange man and he in turn melted into them, disappearing.

*sigh* I knew that was going to happen. Fortunatly for you people, I have a plan. :P Pay attention now people.))

Inkoyca melted from shadow to shadow, skimming through the darkness between trees. Someone was here hidden...he could sense it...

Behind him the companions seemed ready for battle and the twins had moved off towards the back of their small battalion with Linearos as their guard. They seemed to be having a heated conversation and Inkoyca was immediatly more weary, though he decided to focus on his set task. Light filtered through the canopy, stretching and waving...

Aha! Inkoyca darted to the left where he had seem a strange bit of movement...but nothing was there...the shadows that whispered, telling secrets to those who listened, were strangely silent...a bird call shattered the silence, sounding strange and hollow in the ears of Inkoyca's spectral form...the silence...that was the key...

The dark man stopped short and gave up all attempts to hide. They were here and they were aware of him, as he was now aware of them.

Kiron! he called suddenly, in the language of silhouettes, which existed not as sound but as ripples and waved patterns playing on darkened light. It doesn't have to be this way, Kiron. I have spoken to them and this dark deed is not needed.

Inkoyca moved off when there was no answer, heading back to the companions. Once there, he spun as waved shimmered in the air and before the ready troops formed seven Shadow Warriors.

Inkoyca left the comfort of shadow and took his place before the strangers. Kiron stepped forward and tried to stare down the other dark man.

Inkoyca sighed inwardly. He could easily stare down his rival but he had no patience to do so now. "It doesn't have to be this way," he said in a strangly monotoned voice.

"I see no evidence for that, Inkoyca," Kiron returned, gazing at the companions and indicating them with a wild gesture. His gray eyes were cold as he stared at Inkoyca and Inkoyca stared back. Finally, he exploded. "React, will you? Damn it, Inkoyca...if you weren't so damn cold..." he broke off and looked at the other. "Maybe Defynia would have..." he broke off again and looked closely at the other. Inkoyca didn't react and Kiron became furious. "Fine...fine. But if you hurt her again...the Elder sent us here to deal with the situation. You have no right nor reason to be here."

"It doesn't and will not be done this way."

"The Elder..."

"The Elder is wrong," Inkoyca said calmly. Kiron's eyes nearly bulged out of his head. The assembled seven drew their dark weapons and gazed at the companions with dark eyes.

"Fine, Inkoyca. You choose it to be this way. You choose to join the Hunted," Kiron said, raising as large, two-handed sword made of black metal as if it were a twig. He and the other six bowed to their Prey before advancing the Hunt...

((OOC: Linearos has a few magical items, but cannot do much magic himself. Oh, maybe a few flame darts, bolts, or freezing, but nothing special.))

Linearos' dagger started to glow a shining silver as he advanced towards the shadow warriors. They cringed under the light, but couldn't move for the wind that the elf had conjured.

Taking a swipe at the being, Linearos was satisfied as his weapon 'tore' a piece of a shadow warrior. The being screamed an unearthly scream and touched Linearos' arm. The dagger that Linearos was holding fell from his left hand.

Crying out in pain, Linearos grabbed his limp arm, feeling life drain from it.
"These beings are not of this world..."

Letting go of his arm, he drew his sword. The blade shined an eerie light in the moonlight, as if rejecting the light the moon offered, and shining on its own.

His face contorted with pain, he walked backwards toward the three elves.
"If I were to die today, I will die protecting the only two who could bring the world back to balance."

Turning his gaze back at the enemy, he spoke to the elf who had cast the spell.
"You there, brethren. I wish I could learn your name, but fate seems to play games with us." he paused and went on. "I bid you to take the twins and flee, for they are the ones to change the course of whatever is transpiring in the world around us. If we survive, I am sure we will meet again."

Looking over his shoulder, he smiled at the elfmaid with silver hair and said, "You look just like my mother. And there I went thinking that she was the most beautiful woman I would ever meet. I only wish that I was able to win your trust, before whatever may happen here."

"Damn..." he said, speaking his thoughts aloud, "Even if they are not demons, my left arm is no better than dead."

Sighing deeply, he reached into a pouch he wore at his belt and took out a small crystal vial of water. Uncorking it with his teeth, he spilled its contents onto his limp arm.
Wincing slightly, Linearos could feel warmth and life return to his arm.

"The Forestmaster only gave me two of those, and I didn't want to have used it so early..."

Flexing his arm, Linearos picked up his dagger and called out to Dellin and the twins, "Get ready to flee! You will know when!"

Then, he threw the crystal vial into the air and waited for it to start to sail down. Holding his dagger by the blade with two fingers, threw it at the small bottle, breaking the crystal vial into a million shards. Solinari's light intensified as its light became blinding arrows of silver light.
