Come to me....I am waiting for you..

Glimmer’s eyes snapped open ...She looked around...no one was here. She looked around her lair, the gems and magical items that where scattered around comforted her. “was it a dream?” she mumbled feeling a longing that she had never felt before. she got up and stretched her wings. She looked outside and clawed her way to the top of her cave entrance. she turned her head and finally locked her eyes to the east...the call was coming from there. She lept to the air, heading to the west though...she would seek out her closest friend...Taryis.

FAR TO THE EAST

Navare smiled, his amber eyes wide. He stretched his black feathered wings, and admired their purple iridesance. His scales, Crystal like, where black, and nearly transparent. His head was crowned by six pairs of horns, circling from jaw to jaw. He knew She would come to his call...she had to...they where a close match...and each other’s only hope to mate.

He smiled wickedly, his claws covered with the blood of the griffon that lay dead in his Lair. The last Daughter of Paladine, and the last son of Takisis....interesting match.

True magic is withing all of us...Magic of life, love, and mind. The question is...do you have the courage to find it?

Blessed Be

The soft light of lunitari shone through on another starry night as Taryis diligently kept up with his studies in his laboratory. He looked up in amusement as solinari made its way up the horizon to almost line up but not quite with lunitari.
Long study had given him mastery over power of the moons, even the dark one that he could vaugley see, a black disk outlined against the myriad of stars in the sky. Long study had given also the added power of a new magic, the magic of the mind. He was not content with what he had learned and that is why he kept studying, to continue to learn and gain in power and knowledge.

He had a sense something was again brewing however and he wasnt sure just what. Being very in tune with all his surroundings he just knew change was coming in some form. Still he kept his candle lit as he went through book after book. His tower stood high upon a cliff in the western part of ansalon overlooking a vast valley and mountainous range. He knew change was coming he just didnt know when........The magic of the mind is within you all. Do you have the power to harness it?

Glimmer banked around Taryis's labratory and landed easily. She called out to him. "Taryis! my friend! I need to speak with you!" she shifted to her human form and stood waiting just outside the gates.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Navare hissed...what was taking so long!? he paced in his lair, and then finally went outside. Fine...if she wouldn't come to him....he would go to her...The Daughter of Paladine would be his...

Navare spread his velvet-black wings and lept into the air. he circled high, his black crystal scales glittering darkly. With a roar, he banked to the west, and began his long journey across the sea."On a hot summer's night, would you offer your throat to the wolf With the red roses?"

With a sigh and a grin he greeted his friend glimmer, whom he had known well. Many an adventure they had been on in his day. "So I see something is again amiss?" He couldnt help but grin at his sarcasm, he always enjoyed her company even though they were seemingly only together when something strange was happening, he had grown accoustomed to it.

"So my friend, what is troubling you?"The magic of the mind is within you all. Do you have the power to harness it?

Glimmer, Kalia in her human form frowned. "I am uncertain...I have been feeling a call...almost like I am being summoned...I want to go...more than anything I want to...But I also feel that something is amiss..." she stopped, for the first time in her three hundred years of life...she was at a loss for words.

"I cant explain it..." she mumbled

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Navare reached a small villiage along the edge of Ansalon. He grinned maliciously and roared. He watched as people scattered like the frightened sheep they where. He let loose his breath weapon...a black flame, that literally drained the people of their life force. He landed, using his magic to ignite a few of the houses. People ran and screamed. He held his huge feathered wings out, blocking the sun, and fanning the flames.

"I will make you a deal humans!!" he hissed. His dark amber eyes alight by the flames around him. "I will leave you now in peace if you can give me any clues to the whereabouts of a Clear Crystal Dragon residing in your realm!!!!" he hissed. Of course, he had no real intentions of leaving them...he Might allow a few survivors though...his reputation as the Scourge of Krynn must be maintained.

((OOC: I also feel like playing a good and a bad character...hehe. Though I can throw one out if you want, Kalia. I was thinking to renew Ku and Glimmer's friendship as you got lost in the last one. hehe. Is that okay with ya?))

Ku Y'leh Starlite woke with a start and ran her fingers through her obsidian hair. She was staying in the house of a cousin on her mother's side, one of the few members of her family that she had been able to find since the day they had been scattered to the Four Winds. The elf, just a few years older than the mage, had been delighted to find another in possession of the Starlite family crest.

The half-elf reached up, touching cold metal. Her medallion was unique, though it held the name Starlite and the family jewel. Wrapped in silver, with a tiger curling around the outter edge, the medallion was a sacred link to the past to the mage. Ancient runes ringed just off center around a small blue sapphire.

"Ku!" She heard Seperan yell, his elven voice near panic. Spinging out of bed, the half-elf quickly strapped on her silver sword and pulled on a blue cloak. Then she ran into daylight.

Chaos rained in the town. A dark dragon loomed above the burning houses, sucking at the very souls of the frightened inhabitants.

"I will leave you now in peace if you can give me any clues to the whereabouts of a Clear Crystal Dragon residing in your realm!!!!"

A Clear Crystal Dragon?

Glimmer?

The half-elf had not seen her dragon-friend in years. Could it be...

Her cousin ran to her side. "We have to do something!" he breathed, his gray eyes pleading. Ku nodded and they started forward. The mage drew her silver sword, calling forth a shimmering blue shield of energy.

"Dragon!" she called. "I know not of whom you speak, but I know that you have worn out your welcome!" The dragon, with his strange feathered wings, glared at her through amber eyes. Then he laughed.

"And who are you to make such a judgement? I am Navare, Son of Takhisis! And you...are dead unless you can tell me where to find the Daughter of Paladine!"

In response, Ku and Seperan stepped forward, combining their strengths into one. A magical bolt issued forth, searing the feathered wings of the dark dragon. He roared in outrage. Ku called out again. "I shall give you one last chance to leave with your life."

But the dragon didn't answer. He stood still for a moment, and a silence descended over the village. Then the world exploded. Flying forth onto the broken town, Navare let loose a storm of lethal breathe and raking claws. People fled screaming, only getting a few feet before they halted, dead, in their tracks. A few stayed to fight, but twas all in vain. They died slowly till none but Ku and Seperan were left standing.

"Good bye, cousin," Seperan whispered and before she could stop him, the elf ran out of the magical shield and towards the beast who had taken on final breath. A cloud of darkness covered the area, followed by a magical explosion as the elf-mage's heart burst. Navare roared in pain and fury, but as the dust cleared, Ku could see that he was still quite alive.

The town was burning, the townspeople no more than shells...

Seperan was dead, sacrificed, her family...

No more reason to fight...

Doing the only thing she could think of, Ku Y'leh turned and ran...

_________________________________________________________

Navare settled on the ground to lick his wounds. The elf had gotten him good but not so that he would not heal.

A strange sound reached his ears, coming closer. He listened only to discover laughter mixed with slow, exaggerated clapping...

The dragon spun. A human woman sat just off his right foot, grinning...

No, not a human...

Scarlet wings graced her back, blood red hair fell over smooth shoulders...cat-like eyes, startling green and judging...

"Not bad, not bad at all..."

OOC: LOL!! No its fine!! keep it...this is gonna be interesting!

BIC: Navare's breath rumbled deep in his throat. He stared at the Demoness with narrowed eyes. "what do you want!?" he hissed as he snapped his feathered wings to his sides. He turned, surveying his damage...knowing that one had survived to spread word of his attack...the first of many.

Navare grinned at the thought of the destruction....and when he foundher their offspring will be the scourge of krynn...the start of a new race of Dragons. Navare walked over to a nearby spring and plunged in, allowing the water to clense his scales, and remove the dust and smokey grime from his feathers. He Lept out of the water and began to methodically preen and straighten the feathers.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Kalia sighed...She nearly dosed from the exhaustion of her stress tension. With a start she snapped awake. a brief vision flashed before her eyes. a vision of a black dragon destroying a villiage...

She sat there for a moment and stared in horror at the table in front of her. She closed her eyes and tried to bring the vision back...only to see the black dragon again..his wings spread

...his...Feathered...wings...Spread.

She also saw in the firelight that the scales glittered...like her own.

Kalia's eyes snapped open, The Gold of the Irises dark. "In the name of the light-" she whispered, as fear drained her color...leaving her pale."On a hot summer's night, would you offer your throat to the wolf With the red roses?"

Taryis started at he sudden shock even as he tried to calm her. It was obvious somthing was bothering her and he had to find out, but in the mean time he felt it best to comfort her as best he could.

"Are you all right? You were dreaming a terrible dream."

It seemed odd to him that she would be afraid of anything, but he could see the look of confusion and fear in her eyes. A look as if she were in another place seeing somthing that wasnt at all good. She kept repeating the same phrase over and over

"Another crystaline dragon? I thought you were the last of your kind. Black crystal?" Taryis was a little suprised at what he was hearing but logic was starting to prevail. A black crystaline dragon must be the opposite of her in some way, how?

"Why does this bother you? And what danger do you forsee that may come of this? There must be a reason for this, dragons are long lived and this black dragon surely has been around for a while. What would cause it make its presence known to you now?"

A strange sense of urgency was starting to build that Taryis could not explain. There was somthing ore to this that glimmer wasnt telling him, something that was troubling her deeply.

"Whatever the reason, we cannot let this dragon come into the land and destroy it as he has done in your dreams. We must prepare."

The light from the many candles in the room flickered softly filling the room with an irridescent light. The many books and items scattered everywhere attested to the studies habit and yearning for knowledge that Taryis had. He had not become the most powerful mage on kryn through laziness..........or shortsightness. He knew that they must be ready and at the very least he knew he had to be there for glimmer...........

((OOC: Hm...How to meet up with you guys...hehehe. I think I'm going to bring my Guardian into this.))

Ku Y'leh ran. She ran till her legs gave out and her heart felt as if it would beat right out of her chest. When she could no longer run, she crawled, on hands and knees, dragging through the dirt, one image floating through her mind...clear crystal clouded with black...

-----------------------------------------

"Weeell, what 'ave we gots 'ere?" Fuot stood on the dusty path and scratched his balding hair.

"I dunno," his wife returned. They stood together for many moments looking down.

A blue-robed figure lay on the ground, her lips cracked and bleeding, dirt smeared across her youthful face. Obsidian hair, knotted, fell over her closed eyes. The wife, Filian, reached down to brush the tangled mess away and then jumped back.

"It's a durned half-elf!! And a mage if I e'er saw one!" she exclaimed. "What are we gunna do?"

Her husband shrugged. "Take 'er 'ome with us, I reckon."

At that moment Ku stirred and the couple jumped back farther. "Serperan?" she whispered, her once musical voice low and hoarse. Fuot stepped forward.

"No, ma'am..."

"Glimmer!" she cried suddenly. "Have to find..." The mage's silver eyes rolled into the back of her head.

"Now, what?" Filian asked, thoroughly spooked.

Her husband shrugged once again. "Find the Glimmer person..."

A few hours later, the broken mage lay inside the small house of Fuot and Filian. Fuot left her in the hands of his wife, though he had doubts that, even under her care, the mage would survive the night. She must have been lying on the road for some time, losing blood and energy...

Fuot shook his head and continued down the street. He did not want a body on his hands.

Finally he arrived at the Dark Mage and stepped inside the shop. A strange-looking, short man in black robes sat on a tall stool. Fuot approached warily.

"Well?" the mage barked, not looking up.

"Um...ah...I was wonderin' if ye had any healin' 'erbs..."

The mage hopped off his stool and eyed the farmer. "You can't afford anything I have," he said coldly.

"Oh...ah...how much to send a message?" The black robe looked up sharply. That would have been over the farmer's budget as well but the mage's sense of curiousity overwhelmed his greed.

"To whom?"

The farmer squirmed. "Glimmer..."

"And who is Glimmer?"

"I dun know..."

The mage frowned. "I may be able to find this person even with this distinct lack of information. What shall the message contain?"

"Just that a friend 'o hers is here and hurt, a blue robed mage with a purty silver sword..."

"I'll see what I can do."

----------------------------------------------------------------

Wings of blue skimmed the horizon, cutting with ease through the silky atmosphere. Shimmering with magical light, the bird blanked and landed with strange grace.

Kalia looked up from her musing, distracted. The sight took her breath, and her bad thoughts, away in an instant. A bird of pure blue sat on the windowsill, preening it's soft feathers with a silver beak. It looked up and met her gaze and for a moment Kalia felt as if she were drowning in liquid silver. Taryis stepped forward, curious and awed.

"Um..." Both Kalia and Taryis jumped. A young white robe stood in their midst, blushing. "Please tell me one of you is Glimmer. I've been to four houses in the past two hours and no one goes by that name..."

Stunned, Kalia nodded. The mage smiled. "Finally! I have a message for you. Um...seems that a blue robed mage with a silver sword is dying and calling for you from...the town of Aliana!" He grinned and then cringed at her expression. "Sorry about the bad news..." With that, the mage disapeared.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Akhsunamun sat on a large rock, her expression amused. She had been staring at the black crystal forever with her unblinking, cat-like eyes. It was begining to get on the dragon's nerves for, although their lives are quite long, patience can only be stretched so thin for those mortal...

Kalia was stunned...she scanned her memory....blue robe....

"Ku!!" she cried and turned to Taryis. "We have to go to her....the villiage in my dream...it was hers!!" She ran outside, immediatly shifting back to her Dragon form...She was suddenly scared...scared for Ku, scared for herself....and scared for the future of their world.

Taryis's thoughts where right....she was hiding something from him. She shuddered as she stretched her wings. She was just past her three hundreth year....A mature adult...

She shook her head. For years she had resigned herself that she would never mate... but now the possibilitly was there...She knew that this Black Crystal dragon was her complete oposite...if they where to mate...their offspring would either be the saviors of Krynn, or they would be it's destroyers. She feared him...she feared that possibility...

But worse...she feared her strength....His call was too alluring...she didn't think she could resist.

While she flew, she kept silent....too much was going on...too much too fast...She flew with the ergency that she felt for her friend Ku. She added a touch of magic to it as well...speeding her flight.

In a matter of a few hours Glimmer touched down in the mentioned villiage. She waited for Taryis to slide down her lowered wing before shifting back to her human form. Kalia glanced around frantically. She was just considering running down some villiagers and demanding to know where Ku was being kept when a sliver of blue caught her eye.

The Phoenix was looking straight at her from atop a small wooden post. It almost seemed to smile and took off. Sapphire blue wings treaded air, glancing from house to house till it choose one. On the edge of town, a small shack, obviously belonging to farmers, was curiously silent even in this, the middle of the day. Fuot awoke with a start. Someone was pounding on his door. Visions of attacking dragons ran rampant through his mind as he shook off the last of his dreams.

Sitting up, and hearing no screaming, Fuot sighed in relief. His wife was sound alseep, having stayed up all day to tend to the half-elf.

The half-elf...Fuot when out to check on her. Her breath was coming in ragged gasps, her skin as pale as fresh snow and just as cold. The human let out a low whistle. It was amazing that she had lasted this long.

The pounding continued till Fuot reached the door and threw it open, annoyed. A human woman burst in, breathing hard.

"I-s-s-sss Ku h-h-here?"

"Who? Oh, the mage!! Right this way..." Fuot frowned and then ducked as a large bird flew in towards his head. "Name of the...!"

Kalia ran inside and stopped short. Ku lay near death on a small cot. Her friend was in terribly condition...

The blue Phoenix swooped in past Kalia and landed beside the bed where he started to cry...

Kalia stared in anger and fear as she looked at her friend. She knelt near Ku and said a soft prayer to her father. Silently she rested her hands on her friend.

The pale, misty, white glow started in Kalia's palms, and slowly spread out from there. soon Ku's entire body was enveloped in the glowing mist. The mist intensified it's brightness for a split second, almost like a star going nova, then vanished. Ku's breathing was easier, her wounds healed....Ku was now sleeping peacfully. She awoke slowly, a sharp pain spread over her entire body, then fading to a dull ache. She blinked, light entering her constricting pupils. A face loomed above her, hopeful and tired.

She attempted to sit up and speak. Her voice caught in her dry throat and she swallowed several times before she could talk. "W-w-where am I?" She looked up and winced. "My head hurts..."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Akhsun's mind returned to her body and she looked at the dragon with a steely gaze. Finally, she exploded.

"Are you still just sitting there?!"

Navare glared at Akhsunamun and hissed, as he spread his wings and lept up into the air, following the presence eagerly.

Kalia smiled gratefully as Ku woke. "Ku!! thank Paladine you're alright! What happened to you?" she asked, tears filling her eyes as she hugged her friend. What cost your pride?
"It is free, cause I can get more"
What cost your skills?
"They are low for I am a healer"
What cost your body?
"High for I am untouched."
What cost your soul?
"There is no cost, for it is not for sale."

Kalia turned from Ku and wiped the tears away from her suddenly haunted eyes.

"Taryis...you have been my friend for many years...what I have to tell you scares me...yet I am drawn to it like a moth to a flame. I am reaching my fourth hundreth year my friend... My life would have been completely empty and lonley with out my friends...but a Dragon's life is long... Longer than that of the eldest of Elves. and my life will not always be so friend filled. "

Kalia paused and looked at Taryis and Ku. "I have been haunted by dreams...Dreams of my future...Dreams of another Crystal Dragon...One who intends to be my mate. I can sense the power within him...but also the intense evil as well... I fear him...but I fear that the Crystal dragon will fade with my death...if I do not go to him...the legacy of the Crystals will die with my final breath." She stopped, as she noticed that she was trembling. Suddenly her breath caught as she could sense Him out there....

((OOC: Damn. I remember what I was going to do!))

Ahksunamun let out a peal of laughter as Navere called out to Kalia Majere, taunting her. Everything was going beautifully...

The demoness reached out again, peering into the cabin to see how this Kalia was responding. She was frightened...good...

And now, my pet, play along...that's right...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ku Y'leh sat up slowly. Her whole body ached and her mind...she had a terrible migraine.

"Oh gods above...what am I to do!?" Kalia cried, looking to her friends.

The mage blinked. She didn't know what her friend should do...she didn't know what had happened, who he was...

Suddenly, she heard her own voice. "Kalia...have you thought of confronting him? You are strong, you always have been. You have survived much...you can survive this! Go out there, show him that no one controls Crystalmira!!"

Kalia blinked at Ku's words...she thought that she heard a vauge wrongness in her friends voice, but as the words filtered through, Kalia set her jaw and stood.

"your right...I am strong...and No one controls me!" she cried, running through the door. She vaugely heard tayris and Ku calling out to her, but she didn't heed them.

She burst out of the outside door and her form shimmered as she lept into the air, her body a shimmering, brilliant, holy light.

The light hovered for a moment before Navare, seemingly studying the huge dragon. The light pulsed and then expanded to fill the space that her own huge form would take. Her shimmering white wings beat at the air to keep her altitude. The sun lit upon her crystal scales, creating a near blinding light as the sunlight was refracted and reflected.

"Who are you to dare summon me with such familiarity!?" she roared, lashing her tail, and showing the twin rows of deadly fangs.

"I am Crystalamira! Daughter of the Light! I ask again Who Are You!?" she hissed. It takes a Heart of Steel

Ahksunamun smiled at the results and slide into shadow, being careful not to let the cyrstal dragon see her.

Navare heard a small voice in his head. Don't be angry with her...show her that you are the exact opposite of what she thinks...she needs you, make it hard for her to deny that...

The black crystal nodded to himself.

"I am Crystalamira! Daughter of the Light! I ask again Who Are You!?"

Navare smiled softly to himself and looked her over. She was beautiful, her crystal scales reflecting soft light...the radiant pools of gold that glared at him...he smiled again and saw her expression falter.

"I am Navare...Son of Takhisis...and I am your destiny," he said simply and calmly. "We are the same, you and I...we will prolong our race...for the better."

Good, good. Now bow...

Navare bristled slightly at this. But it was all part of the deseption...spreading his wings to their full length, he bowed with a grace that took Crystalamira's breath away..."I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and

"He has a companion, Kalia," said a voice in crystal dragon's head. The Thorn, his brown hair with flecks of grey whipped in the wind as floated alongside Glimmer. "Things are not always as they seem or wish. You know this to be true." The mage, his silver robe shining in the sun smiled at his longtime friend. "I am here to support your decision either way, but I may need to leave you shortly to DISCUSS something with the others companion.""Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?"

She turned back To Navare...

Navare roared in anger as Crystalamira created strong currents of wind that beat into his scales. "Leave!" he hissed to the demoness, who had appeared once again, an amused expression on her perfect face.

"Why?" she returned casually. "I fear not this mage. You are the one who ruined it with your pride. Though there is still time...you can still do away with her doubt!"

Navare roared again and spat flame at the demoness, outraged when she batted it away with a lazy flick of her wrist. He ignored her words, this time he would deal with this his way.

Turning his massive wings into the wind created by his future mate, Navare caught the chilled air and spun his magic...a small vortex appeared, swirling as a tornado, black as the void between stars...

"It's is inevitable! Come to me, come to your destiny!" the black crystal roared over the wind. Crystalamira responded by pumping her shining wings harder...unknowingly feeding his magic...

"Fine then," Navare muttered. "If it must be this way..." The vortex before him stopped pulling in the wind and inflated, forming an swirling orb of pure darkness. By now, his mate could feel the cold, the hopelessness coming off his creation, stinging her entire being. She stopped pumping her wings in his direction and tried to flee...Navare blew lazily on the orb, sending it flying after his mate...

Crystalamira screamed as the frozen blackness slammed into her back, causing her wings to stiffen into place, her eyes to freeze open and over, cruel female laughter echoing in her ice-filled ears...

"You can't run, my pet."

"Time to leave," the Thorn muttered to himself. A blue vertical line formed in front of him an split, forming a scene of a forest. The silver robe floated through. It was an easy enough way to travel. The hard part was forming those for his dragon friend and her companions (including the farmer and his wife). The attack was unexpected, but the mage was ready for most things.

As the gate closed behind him he looked around at the lush forest. It was good to be near home. Seeing the others there with him made him feel even better. She was smiling.

"Why in the abyss...??"

"Good idea..." Ku Y'leh muttered, a weariness dominating her voice so as she could hardly be heard. She felt...unfocused, stretched and almost as if she should be fighting...but she was too tired to fight and too stubborn to give up...and at any moment, she might fly into a thousand different pieces so small that they might never be found...

A bubble of laughter rose in her throat and she stumbled forward, heading for the silver tower...

--------------------------------------------------------------------

"Shall we?" Ahksun asked, bowing with a flourish to the black crystal and giving him a seductive smile.

The great dragon bowed back and also grinned. They had their understanding. He did need her--for now--but he didn't need to respect her. And she didn't respect him...it was the perfect arrangement.

"Later," he growled softly, raking a nail over her flawless, silky skin and drawing a line of dark blood. "Later, we will have a little fun...as partial payment..."

She smiled and dipped her finger in her own blood, bringing it to her lips, tracing them and then his own with the bitter liquid. "Later," she purred before spreading her scarlet wings and taking off towards the Silver Tower.

Navare allowed himself a thoughoutly conceited grin and followed, watching her retreating form in sweet anticipation...he would have Crystalamira...and his fun.

((OOC: Hm. Too evil? I wasn't sure how evil you wanted him to stay...I thought this might help if you wanted really evil...lol.))

Akhsun flew towards the sun, enjoying the growl that Navare gave as he lost sight of her in the blinding light. But she soon tired of that and reached out intead to her pawn. There was much there, much pain that she could play with...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ku walked through the forest in a daze. The Thorn, Kalia, and Taryis walked just ahead of her, towards the Tower.

She went over the last few days in her mind. It was full of holes, her memory and she struggled to remember...

Suddenly she cried out. Her cousin, killed by that...that thing!

"Kalia," she yelled. "Kalia, he's evil, so evil. He killed him, he kil..." She stopped talking suddenly, as if her air had just been violently cut off. The half-elf clutched at her throat for a moment and then relaxed, her hands falling gracefully to her sides. She shook her head as if to clear it and then began walking towards the Tower again as if nothing had happened.

"Don't try it, you won't like the outcome. Also, anything that anybody takes from the towerr without permission returns by magic means, so stealing from there is pointless. I don't expect any troubles over this from any of you but you should all still know."

As they reached the tower, the silver robe opened the door. "There are beds on the fifth floor where Kalia can rest. The kitchen is on the first floor and the library on the third. If any of you need me, I'll be on the fourth floor. Don't mind the apprentices, they won't bother you. Please alert me when Kalia comes to." Ku Y'leh wandered through the silver tower, taking in as much as she could. Kalia had been settled into a bed and Tayis was watching over her as she slept. For her part, Ku was suddenly inexplicably curious about this order of silver robed mages. She headed to the 3rd floor where the Thorn had said the library was.

She passed several apprentices as she walked through the long corridors, her light steps whispering across marble floors. They looked surprised to see her and their eyes lingered on her tattered blue robes but as the Thorn had promised, they held their curiousity and didn't say a word. She sighed...it might have done her some good to talk to someone.

The library was vast and organized, with books as far as her elven eyes could see. It was nicely arranged too, much warmer and more inviting then the Tower of High Sorcery...

She found a section on the history of the silver tower and settled into chair, her liquid silver eyes devouring book after book at an alarming rate. She learned much, the basic being that silver robes drew on all three moons and worked hard towards the continuation of magic.

She reached down and picked up another book from her pile. It was ancient but in good condition, as if few had read it. It had come from one of the higher, hidden shelve, she recalled. Inside the half-elf read about the Valley of Vanished Moons, a hidden branch of the silver robed mages. Reading that she got an idea.

Somewhere there were books and artifacts from her lost Order. Those who had survived had taken great pains to secure whatever they could...perhaps some of it had ended up here.

"Excuse me?" she asked a nearby apprentice, wondering if they were allowed to talk to her.

Aleximi blinked as he processed Ku's request. "Um, maybe this book," he said. He glided over to the shelves and began scanning until he pulled one off the shelf. It's purple cover didn't give much away, but the silver printing on the cover said The Orders of Magic, Old and New. "Perhaps this is what you are looking for?"

Meanwhile, the Thorn sat in his studying staring intently at a bowl of water. He was scrying, which is how he obtained lots of his information. This time, he was looking at a specific scene. Two objects, clear as day, winged their way towards the what he assumed was the tower. His thoughts were interrupted by Kalia's voice in his head, and the images wavered. Ku Y'leh took the book slowly from the apprentice and weighed it with her slender hands. It was thick, with small flowing script. Perhaps it would contain something...

Flipping it open with one fluid movement, the half-elf began to skim the pages, looking for some reference to her order or the elusive magical creature that was their symbol. She found it at long last and settled back into a chair with a contented sigh.

The hidden Order of Centuri is one of deep magical origins. Believing Balance to be the key to life's challenges, those of the Order followed the Phoenix Star, a mythical blue body in the heavens that reportedly only they can see. Their magic has been deemed powerful but protective, as they have won the service of many magical creatures, including the rare phoenix. Each family is rumored to employ the friendship and protection of one of these...

The mage continued to read. Much of it she already knew but other things, little details, had been lost in time and destruction. She slowly became aware of the apprentice watching her, perhaps waiting to see if the book was satisfactory.

Her silver eyes continued to eat up the words on page after page, never slowing, however she split her attention, talking to the apprentice without looking at him. "So tell me about this Tower. Why is it that you do not talk to your guests? Are you not curious?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ahksunamun skimmed the air, feeling it rush beneath her scarlet wings. She shifted slightly, and felt Navare falter within her jetwash. The demoness laughed, a laugh that abruptly died.

"What is it?" the black crystal asked, his voice harsh.

"We are being spyed apon..." she said slowly. Reaching out to the magical scrying, she pushed back against it, sending the magic in a loop. If a lesser mage sat on the other end, he or she would surely be burned by the feedback magic. If a strong mage sat there...well, she wasn't going to waste energy grabbling with him. It was enough simply to stop him or her from scrying for a while.

Ku Y'leh smiled up at Kalia, glad to see that she was feeling better. "Book the apprentice found for me..." she tipped the book to show Kalia the cover. "It has a surprising amount of information on my Order..."

She skimmed the next few pages, looking for anything that was immediately interesting. If everything could wait, she would talk to Kalia about their situation or something...it would be rude to keep reading.

Suddenly she moaned and placed a hand on her forehead. Kalia looked concerned. "What's wrong?"

The mage frowned and blinked. "I...nothing." She glanced down at the book again, intending to close it when something caught her eye...

"Wow...how come I didn't notice that?" she murmured excitedly. Kalia leaned over to see what it was but, in her amazement, Ku stood and started pacing around the room, reading rapidly.

"Olin...the Stargazers...Thanal...Lyohuna...Kalia, it's a list! Someone made a list of the survivers! Look there's my cousin's name...and Jury Stargazer..." Happiness shone in her silver eyes and the book nearly went flying as Ku started jumping up and down. "Now I can find them all and...look!"

The mage flashed the page at Kalia before pulling it away again and reading. "Jarian Starlite...my cousin...he's here! In a town not far from here...we could fly in no time! What was it called...I read it somewhere..."

She looked up, beaming. "Come meet him with me, Kalia!""I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and

Kalia blinked as Ku flashed the page at her. She nearly laughed at her friends sudden enthusiasm. "Alright Ku! We'll go...I know many ways out of the tower...we could go and be back before anyone would realize that we'd gone."

She took the book from Ku, and handed it back to her Cousin, Aleximi. "Be a dear...and put that back for us...we have some pressing business to attend to." she said smiling, as she led Ku out of the library.

They wandered down long, twisting halls, and down several flights of stairs. finally they where led to the outside. and directly in front of them, was a high cliff, perfect for Kalia to shift form, and dive from.

She shifted and crouched low. "Okay Ku, Ready to go?" she asked giving her wings a stretch.Oh, Moons of Mercy, Moons of Light

"So where to?"

Ku Y'leh smiled back at Kalia and then looked at the street, trying to get her bearings. She took off down the street, effictively getting them lost in under 3 and a half seconds. Luckily the two friends were in no hurry and spent an hour or two running in circles, laughing, before Ku finally stopped and asked for directions.

She approached a young woman with auburn hair and laughing jade eyes. "Excuse me...do you know if anyone in this village is of the Starlite family?"

The woman's eyes widened. "Why do you wish to know?" she asked kindly. Ku smiled and said she was looking for her cousin. The woman's eyes widened further. "And you are?" Ku said her name. The woman smiled and reached forward, hugging the half elf. "I'm Farian Starlite!" she exclaimed.

Several moments passed with a full-blown tearful family reunion. Finally, Ku introduced Kalia and Farian insisted that they come home and met her husband, Cetre Starlite.

"Oh, its been so long..." Farien sighed, taking a sip of her drink.

"That it has..." Ku Y'leh agreed, having just told of her own visit to the lost City of the Stars. Farien smiled and smacked Ku on the arm playfully.

"Why, I remember when you were born! I must've been 10 years old, biggest party in the history of the Order..." They both giggled and then Farien shot a sharp look at her husband. "Do you remember Cetre?"

The dark man nodded, distracted. Farien's smile became slightly strained and then pleasent once again. "Shall we fix dinner, dear? We'll be right back. You're going to have a good old-fashioned magical dinner tonight!" she added to Ku and Kalia. Ku grinned back and her cousins left the room.

Sipping her drink, the mage sat deep in thought for a moment before turning to Kalia. "Are they great? I mean who would've thought..." she broke off. Kalia was staring at the door of the kitchen, slightly pale. "What is it?" Ku asked. "Cetre" looked at Kalia in a way that made her look the other way. Ku's words came to her ears and she shuddered...Something was wrong...terribly wrong.

Navare, within the shelter of the kitchen nook, looked at "Farien" He didn't like this magical shapeshifting...what ever she did, it made the back of his eyes itch. He shivered as he thought of Crystalamira's proximity...

"Snap out of it stupid....you'll ruin everything!" she hissed, grabbing a hold of his collar. Navare flinched at her words, and nearly ended the charade right there...just who did she think she was!?

She snikered. "I am who you need Dragon...you understand that?" He narrowed his eyes and glared at her. "now who will ruin it all?" he sneered at her. "Enough...now," she paused continuing the magic, and two trays of food and drink appeared before them.

"When they eat and drink this...You will have what you want...and I will have what I want...." she chuckled. "Oh...one more thing...I can't have you sleeping on me...." she said and kissed him passionately. to him her lips where like Ice and Molten metal at the same time...Searing his lips, and chilling even His soul.

"There..." she said, and picked up one of the trays, motioning that he take the other. Then they walked back out to Ku and Kalia. Kalia blanced as she saw "Cetre" and looked away. Farien was nice though...and she smiled as Kalia took the goblet from her. Ku did the same, but didn't drink right away...she seemed more intent on speaking of the order of Centuri...

Kalia however sipped at the wine...she blinked, and stared at the red liquid for a moment...then blinked again, saw that farien was looking at her...and took another drink. She swallowed, and immediatly felt dizzy...she put her hand down to steady herself, and dropped the goblet....

Cetre stood, and walked over to her... "are you alright M'lady??" he asked, his eyes never leaving her. "I, uh...yes...I just need to rest a bit" She stammered as she lay back on the cushions, and promptly fell asleep.
Farien smiled..."poor child...Has she been through some kind of traumatic expreiance?" She asked Ku. Inside Akhsun laughed...Kalia would be out for quite a whileOh, Moons of Mercy, Moons of Light

The Thorn paced atop the Silver Tower. He didn't come up here often, only to receive certain guests. He was awaiting the return of one of them now. Kalia had been at the tower only hours before but had slipped away with one of the others as the Thorn was searching for something in the library. Now the mage was beginning to worry for the dragon was never gone this long without letting her friends know where, especially when she had been in trouble before she came."Are you trying to make me look stupid in front of the other guests?"

Cetre was growing impatient...This blue robed mage just wouldn't shut up. He stood, and pretended to busy himself in the other room...then came back out. "Maybe your friend would find it more comfortable to sleep in a bed...rather than that chair..." He said, picking Kalia up with ease. He cast Farian a quick glance, and Walked into the next room With Kalia.

Navare was shivering with Pleasure as he Held Kalia in his arms. He did not lay her down, but lept deftly out the window with her instead...he'd let the Demoness deal with the blue robe. Once a considerable distance away, He shifted, and carried Kalia to his Lair.....Across the Seas.

Kynia sighed...so much to be done. She wadered around the remnants of Crystal Tower...their central Palace. She didn't know if she was ready to lead her people...she had been on her own for so long.

:You have never been on your own....: Kyel intoned, the Silver-white stallion swished his tail in contempt. Kynia smiled and draped her arm over his arched neck.

"Oh Kyel...Can we really do this? Nothing will ever be the same agian...Krystal, my parents...all dead...we are but a handfull of what we once where..." Kynia sobbed...her topaz blue eyes closed agianst the tears. Her silver hair flowed in the breeze.

:I like you like this...The silver hair..the eyes...we're perfect this way.: Kyel said softly.

Kynia laughed and nearly choked on her tears. Kyel's sacrifice had turned her hair silver and lightened her eyes. But, later Paladine had given him back to her. Then her thoughts moved to Blade....He didn't accompany her here...she nearly sobbed again...She missed him so much...but he was right...her duty was to her people...love wasn't an option.

She turned suddenly at the sound of footsteps. She noticed a Figure moving steathily behind her. Kyel also tensed. From the corner of her eye, she studied the figure intently...He was tall, His black hair was tied back...slim, but well muscled. Light hit his face for a moment and she recognized him.

Kynia turned, her hand on the hilt of her sword. "Rahl'Uhren?" She asked... "is that you???" She said, recognizing the Former Captain of the Royal Guard.

Rahl'Uhren walked towards the woman standing before him....he felt something familiar about her. As he drew closer...it was Kynia! Or Queen Kynia. "M'Lady i did not recognise you at first...your hair...eyes...what has happen to you?"

Stryn waited patiently beside him. A soft sheen came off his black coat. His mane looked as though it was streaked with blue whenever light hit it. He nighed softly and nudged Rahl with his snout, who patted him gently.

Is that Kynia...she has changed slightly hasn't she. Rahl smiled slightly. Yes she has...i'll find out.

He returned his gaze to her..."What did happen....forgive me.....if you wish not to speak of it, i understand....you just look so different."

Kynia's tears threatened to fall again..but she held fast...knowing that no matter what...she was Queen here now...and she must do all that she can.

"Rahl...Krystal Is dead...Kyel...." she faltered, and took a deep breath. "The one who destroyed our land...He was controling Krystal...She was killed in a Temple on the Continent of Ansalon...far to our west. Kyel tried to sacrifice himself by joining our spirits, but The God Paladine returned him to his former state...though I have been forever changed by his noble sacrifice...and I have the means to rid ourselves of this dragon..." she said and pulled out a shimmering crystal Vial from a pocket.

Suddenly a dark shadow passed over the remnants of the Crystal Tower. Kynia looked up and blanched at the sight of The Black Crystal dragon. She narrowed her eyes...and noticed that he carried something...a young woman with long silver hair.

She looked at Kyel and then back to Rahl..."Did you see that???" she asked, rushing to the nearest window...watching to see where the dragon would land.Storms Do not respond to heartfelt pleas

Vile anger filled him....power pulsed...but he held it in checked. Perhaps he should send a mental probe to see who the woman was...with that he created a message in his mind and closed his eyes, getting ready to send it. Til the heart's blood boils or the bones be ash,

Akhsunamon looked up sharply and knew at once that Navere had gone. She frowned, tracking his movements with magic...

"What's wrong?" the annoying mage asked cheerfully. Akhsunamon snarled and reached forward, her fist finding a large chunk of obsidian hair. The mage's eyes widened, the illusion broken, and she cried out the name of the wench Navere had taken.

"Yesss...a lie, your discovery is a lie..." the demoness hissed. She smiled as the mage struggled in both her physical and mental grasp. The half-elf's face was turning red, soon blood flowed from her silver eyes, her fists clenched...her fear grew...

"A lie. Your heritage, your history...all a fairytale...your friend, yes...your friend..."

The struggling slowed but didn't stop. Akhsun leaned forward to whisper in one pointed ear. "You can kill the lies, you can...kill the lies..."

The mage stopped moving. Akhsun smiled, released the other's hair, and sat back. Still the mage didn't move.

"Excellent."

A thought later, the demoness and her slave arrived near Navere and his charge. Rather than barging in, Akhsun decided to wait and watch...and torture her slave with watching the lie live as well. There would be a time when Navere would need her again...

Navare stared at Kalia's sleeping form. His fingers gently brushed her cheek, and she frowned slightly in her sleep. Her studied her features and smiled. He smoothed her long silver hair. She lay on a feather bed in the back of his lair. This antechamber was tiny compared to the rest of his lair...but suitable for their human forms.

"Dear one...You have no Idea the chase you've lead me on." he said softly, and snapped his fingers. Kalia's Gold eyes Snapped open and she gasped. She Tried to back away from him, but his grip on her arm was too tight.

"Easy!" he Snapped. Kalia flinched, and looked away from him, her fear was like a palpable, living thing. His black eyes closed and he took a deep breath. "We are all we have Crystalamira....Our futures are tied..wether we want them too or not." He said...all semblence of evil or hatred fled from his voice.

"We are the only ones of our kind...and we are not Immortal...We only walk this world for a few Millennia before our lights fade." He said, letting her arm go. Kalia's eyes opened wide with sudden disbelief. The Fire that was burning inside of her intensified, as if her heart had become a molten core. Her breath hissed with the sharp intake of breath. She felt sick...As if the ground suddenly fell from underneath her.

Navare watched her closely. "The time grows near....That sickness, and pain-" She flinched "-will only intensify..." He said softly. Kalia moaned and brought her knees up to her chest. "I will leave you be for now....But you know my words to be true." He said, and walked outside of the small chamber. He Shifted back to his true form, and eyed the Demoness warily...

Kynia clenched her fists...and refused to cry...she had come so far, she had lost so much. " I can't quit now..." she muttered so very softly.

Kyel's ears twitched : You haven't Quit...and you won't. You are strong...This is one more drop in the bucket. : Kyel picked his pace up as Rahl's Companion. Kynia stared at the small chain of mountains ahead of them...she knew that there where mining colony's there... Kalia was scared...but she knew that Navare's words where true...to his point of view any way. The nausea intensified, and she curled up even tighter. "Oh Thorn, Ku...I wish you where here." she muttered softly and stood. She stumbled out of the small chamber to see Navare in his true form glaring at what could only be described as a Demoness. Kalia's eyes widened as she saw her friend.

"KU!!" she cried and stumbled forward. "What have you done to her!?!" she cried. Navare switched forms immediatley and lay a restraining hand on Kalia's arm. "Let me go!! How can you! You lied to me!" she cried, struggleing in his grip.

Navare hissed as her nails dug into his hand. But he held her fast. Listen to me you little idiot! Calm down! If you both want to get out of here alive you'll have to listen to me! Came Navare's Sheilded Mental voice.

Kalia's struggles ceased suddenly, as if He had slapped her. She sagged, and leaned against him...Suddenly...the moment her body made willing contact with Navare...the fire within her faded...She never felt so much at ease. She closed her eyes and actually turned to him, her face buried in his chest.

Akhsunamun yanked her closer and grabbed the half-elf by the throat. All resistance died and Ku hung there as a rag doll might in a child's careless grasp...

Navare flinched, the half-elf's words cutting him as clearly as a true blade. He blinked and wondered at this new way of thinking....he didn't feel this way till Kalia willingly touched him.

He tried to say something, but turned from the half elf, his face red. Kalia Had fallen to her knees when the demoness released Ku. the conflict evident in her eyes. Navare released Kalia and backed away from her. Immediately, Kalia flinched in pain, and doubled over. Navare also flinched....her pain was becoming his...their time was growing near.

He reache out and lightly brushed her shoulder, and kalia's features relaxed. Quietly she began to sob. Navare stared at her for a long moment, when he looked up and looked at the half elf's luminus eyes.

"I do not expect thanks...or any sort of gratitude. I have a story to tell you though. back near the dawn of time...The Two opposing Dragons...The Platinum father, and the Dark Queen of all colors and of none, Made the first of the dragons.

"The patinum father Created the Metalics. Aurora, the Gold, being the leader. The Silver, Copper, Brass and Bronze...all females. The Dark Queen created her five, the Chromatics, the red Furion being the leader. The Blues, Greens, blacks and whites...all male.

"The Dragons since then where created by a mated union between the Metallics and Paladine...as well as the Chromatics and the Dark Queen. Gilean, who forever sought balance between the Gods, took a bit of blood from both Opposing Gods, thus creating two more eggs. A shimmering white Crystal, whom Gilean gave to Paladine, and A Dark, yet just as beautiful Crystal was given to Takhisis.

"The two gods not realizing The truth behind Gilean's gifts, hid these special eggs away, laying enchantments on them, intending these two special eggs to be their Champions. By the time that these special dragons hatched, the gods had forgotten that they would be the only ones of their kind. Treated as we should as Children and not true mates....we must seek each other out...or die without leaving anything behind."

Navare stopped still staring at Ku. "without each other...we will die without anyone to pass our skills on to. My darkness, and her light..Our joint will finaly prove Gilean's plan. When she spoke, her voice was soft and threatening. "I would thank you not to talk of my God as if you know if His plans...He would not create such evil...nor such good..."

She looked at Kalia and now her expression was pleading. "He has lied to you...to us...many times...he is working with her!! She almost killed me, Kalia...after you left, she..." The half-elf choked and had to take several deep breathes before she went on.

"She hurt my mind, Kalia. She did worse than I ever thought possible and she has let me live only to further her pleasure! She will be back...and he...he is working with her! Surely to strike a deal with such a vile demon is to beg for the help of the Dark Queen herself!

"We have to leave, Kalia...we have to get out of here...run, till we're safe..."

The mage stopped; she could no longer go on. With a supreme effort, she reached out...and her eyes begged Kalia to take her hand.

Navare flinched, but said nothing more. Kalia stared at her friend, yet reveled in Navare's touch...To her, all his words rang true. Two extremes brought together for the balance of the world....It was a scheme fitting of Gilean.

Kalia shuddered. "Forgive me...I need to Think...." She said, and immediately shifted form. She Grabbed Ku and held her gently in her claws, and launched herself out of the cave opening. Navare looked stricken, but he made no move to follow her.

Glimmer flew laborously...her pain and sorrow weighing heavy on her wings. She was only vaugely aware of Ku as she flew. The pain in her mind increased as she flew futher from Navare.

------------------------------------

Kynia sat up in the cot abruptly. :Kyel?? What was that??: She sent. :I think you'd better come take a look at this....: Came the stallion's reply.

Kynia threw the blanket back, and ran to the entrance to the mines. She stared up in awe as yet another dragon flew their relm. This one was different from the other one...alot different. Shimmering white crystal scales, and brilliant white wings. She sensed pain and sorrow in immense proportions raidiating from the creature.

"is that what the Black was carrying earlier?" she asked softy. then she noticed a flash of blue as she saw that this dragon, too, was carrying someone. Kynia shook her head and lept up into Kyel's saddle.

Ku Y'leh was silent during the trip. Her head trobbed, but not because of her injuries. They seemed far away...a distant problem that would be as nothing after this was over...if it was ever over...

The farther she got from the black crystal dragon, the better she felt...and she had the strongest urge to panic everytime it felt as if Glimmer might slow down and turn around...Computer games don't affect kids…if Pacman had affected us as kids, we’d all be running around in darkened rooms munching on magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Glimmer's flight grew erratic, the dull ache that formed in the back of her mind grew stronger. Her wings faltered, and she glided to a hopping landing, which she fell over. She lay there, Weakened and gasping. Her claws loosened, allowing Ku to get free. Ku's first look at the dragon was startling. Once Graceful, Glimmer lay spraled on the ground, her wings spread haphazardly. Her breath heaved unevenly as she struggled to breath past the pain.

Navare, at the same time doubled over as if someone had just punched him in the gut. He gasped and clenched his fists. He knew Kalia's pain, for he too was now suffering the effects of their parting.

----------------------

Kynia followed the faltering form of the brilliant crystal dragon. Kyel's breath came in ragged gasps as he Galloped across what used to be known as the Star Plains. She watched the Great beast fall, and crash to the ground. She reined Kyel in gently, and the Shimmering white stallion slowed. He came to a halt twenty feet from the Dragon's gasping form.

Kynia urged Kyel forward, and he did so, skirting the dragon widely. Kynia Noticed the woman dressed in blue struggle free from the dragon. "Halt!!! Who are you?" Kynia shouted, unsheathing her sword. "I demand to know who you are...who this dragon is...and what connection you have to the Black Crystal Dragon who holds our land in his Thrall?"Moon, sister Moon

Navare gasped in pain as he knelt on the floor of his lair. "Wretched balance...this is also part of Gilean's plan...Balance between us...To work together...Or die. In our hearts, we are neither good nor evil...our upbringing took care of that....Had we hatched on our own...We would have followed the balance." He glared at the Demoness.

"The City I attacked, I see now that I did so only because they where living in complete peace...The goodness in their hearts unfettered by the fear of evil...We all work for Gilean...wether we know it or not...Good Shatteres the plans of evil in hopes of peace...when that peace grows too strong, evil in turn shatteres it again. A constant circle...keeping balance on Krynn. That Half-elf doesn't truely follow Gilean..but his daughter Lunitari. Mages follow their Gods, Lunitari, Solinari, and Nuitari. The Greater Gods, Paladine, And Takhisis...they have their clerics...But To this day, I have never seen a Cleric of Gilean...and Probably never will...why would there be? A cleric heals the wounds of those dear to them...A cleric of Gilean, would more than likely only heal themselves"

Navare's ramblings faded, as he quickly lost conciousness.

----------------------------------------

Glimmer stared at the newcomer with trepidation. Her breath easing only slighty. "Constant balance....We all work for Gilean, wether we know it or not..." she muttered softly, unknowingly echoing Navare's words.

"True Children of Gilean...Guided by opposide sides....Work together...or we die...." her wods faded, as she too lost conciousness.

Kynia listened to the Dragon's words. Gilean...That was one of the gods that was recognized in Ansalon. She touched the crystal vial gingerly. It was his temple that she won this vial at such great cost. She suddenly knew the meaning of the dragon's words...and knew exactly what was needed. This Vial...must be Given To that Black dragon...and his violence would cease. But, the dragons' words, to keep the balance...how to balance out this dragon?

"You there! Half Elf? I Need to know where that dragon is...You needn't come along...but If I don't get to him, my whole kingdom is lost...and your friend's life as well." Kynia had an Idea...and she hoped that it would work.Is there some meaning to this life?

Ahksunamun stared as Navare lost consciousness and then rolled her green eyes.

Ku Y'leh shrank away from the stranger. "You...you're in league with the dark dragon! And the demoness! I will not tell you where they are!"

Standing shakily, irrational fear running through her silver eyes, the mage placed herself in between the stranger and Glimmer. Kynia stared at the woman, surprised. She ment nothing of the sort. "Damn you! Care you nothing for your friend!?" Kynia's topaz blue eys blazed her anger. Her long silver hair wipped wildly around her face in the sudden vicious wind that responded to her telekinetic resonance.

Kyel moved closer to the Dragon, His tail held high like a silver banner. His form shimmered like a ghost in the bright sunlight. Kynia glanced at him and noticed something vaugely familiar. Standing in front of the the stallion, was a Ghostly form of an Irdra dressed entirely in silver and white silk. He stood between Kynia and the Half Elf.

Ku Y'leh wasn't listening. Her fear pounded in her ears, in her throat, choking her. The ghost just server to scare her move. Obviously these people were powerful and they were going to do everything they could to destroy her and those whom she loved!

"Of course I care about my friend!" she snapped back, almost out of breath. "You will kill her...you will kill us all!"

She paused and raised her hands. A beam of pure blue descended from an unseen star and engulfed her outstretched arms. The air writhed with power and fear...terrible power, terrible fear...

The wind continued to pick up, swirling through a dead land. Dirt and dust rose on a storm into the sky which responded by turning an eerie shade of green. And then everything was silent. The green, the blue...the winds howled without sound, the skies twisted without meaning...

And everything waited.Computer games don't affect kids…if Pacman had affected us as kids, we’d all be running around in darkened rooms munching on magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.

Kynia threw her arms up to protect her face. She held her own, her mind creating a sheild that shimmered around her. Kynia held the crystal Vial tightly in her hands...when suddenly a soft, barely audible voice whispered to her.

The vial...use the vial...Break the spell!

Kynia started and glanced around...but she saw nothing... "Krystal?" she murmered and a tear slid down her cheek. Kynia looked up and as Ku and Kyel watched, her hair darkened a bit, and so did her eyes. Her features changed also...they calmed a bit, and radiated a deep serene grace.

Kynia shattered the sheild around her, and threw the vial a the Half elf. The Vial Exploded at her feet, and a silver mist flooded out of it, Kynia was knocked over by the shockwave that followed the shattering crystal. She watched in awe as the silver mist completely engulphed the Half Elf. The Girl Struggled and cried out as the silver mist passed through, bringing with it a dark smothering mass.

Glimmer opened her eyes weakly and watched Ku fall. The Dark Mass was being smothered by the SIlver mist. Shadow and light, the eternal struggle. Glimmer Reached up and Destroyed both silver mist and Dark shadow with a well aimed swipe.

Kynia shook her head to clear it and she looked up...the air was still. But not with fearful anticipation...with a expectant pause. She looked at the dragon and bowed. "Greetings Great one...I am KyniaStarr Queen of this land...Forgive me for what I did...but I had to Break that spell.

Ku Y'leh watched her life flash before her widened silver eyes. Her childhood, her father, the Centuri...it passed by as a whirlwind of memories caught in a storm of images...spinning, cycling...once through, then again faster...than again, a blur...

She was going to die. The mage almost laughed. She was not only watching the illusion of her life caught in an endless circle, she was watching her death, moving painfully slow about her, a dance of darkness.

It had been a voice. An ageless voice, long gone, its words unintelligable to her...it had been the voice that had allowed her to awaken...caused the demoness to panic...

She felt a blush pass over her cheeks and watched as the stranger, her motions terribly exaggerated, shattered her magical shield. The mage watched in morbid fascination as the magic crystalized and broke as a fine glass...she watched individuals fragments pierce shadows before reaching for oblivion, watched the woman's arm raise, determination pass over her distorted features, the arm came down, the vial flew...the vial shattered...

----------------------------------------------------

Ahksunamun paced before Navare but paid no mind to the crystal dragon's demands. Of course he wanted to know what was going on. That didn't mean she cared to tell him.

Continuing her nervous movements as a cat who is finally the one being stalked, the demoness once again checked on the situation. The wretched half-elf was using some strange sort of magic, aguemented by her own, and it was working beautifully...but...

Something was wrong. The demoness was scared! Such a thing was unheard of...not possible...it was the presence. There was a presence there that shouldn't be.

The vial.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Silver eyes, backed with green, tracked the small glass container to the floor, watched it shatter into a million pinpoints of silver. The half-elf had just enough time to smile before twin screams rang out through the world, screams of agony that were strangely distant...one was her own, Ku Y'leh thought but the pain was too far to be felt, death too real to be denied. The demoness was going to kill her before it was carried away on silver wings...such was life...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Akhsunamun struggled, her movements transfering to the unknowing half-elf. The demoness growled and twisted, knocking back Navare with one powerful arm. She tried in vain to send a surge of power through her slave but suceeded merely in provoking the strange silver mist that was choking her and the wench.

Growling, her fingertips glowing with unspent power, the demoness sent a wave of death to her servant and receded back into her own body.

Or, at least, that was the plan.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ku Y'leh felt a lurch and then the demoness was gone. The presence, the power...gone. And she was still alive.

Her first thought was that something had gone wrong. She was supposed to be dead, the vile demoness with her. Instead there was a black mass hanging in the air, wrapped with silver...

Ku Y'leh shrugged, smiled, and fell to the ground with exaustion.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some distance away, Navare saw the demoness do the same, her lifeless body twisted with a nasty grin, her green eyes turning a dry black.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kynia apologized to the crystal dragon and allowed her her unconsious sleep. It had been a trying day and...

A small pebble creaked. Kynia turned slowly. The half-elf was sitting up on one crooked arm, staring at her, grinning. Kynia frowned. The half-elf looked...stretched. Her eyes were too wide, her skin taunt and black with...

Kynia looked closer and recoiled. The half-elf's skin literally crawled with black spiders and her eyes glowed an unnatural green. When she spoke, Kynia was forced to cover her ears to block the grating sound...she gagged as the woman stood, her skin cracking, tiny rivelets of red flowing between multitudes of hideous eight-legged creatures that now slithered...

"As you have deprived me of my own body, I fear I must take this one. You don't mind, do you?" the demoness asked softly, allowing one of the dark creatures to slither into her mouth before biting down with a sickened crunch and a satisfied sigh.

"YOU WILL BE DESTROYED!" the demonic half-elf screeched, lunging into the face of both Glimmer and a thousand cliches. She giggled, spitting spiders and venom as she stopped mid-flight and leaned over the unconscious form of the crystal dragon.

"Wakke, wakke," she crackled, her arms outstretched in a crude but powerful shield fed by rage. She would kill this one...yes...then the others would have their turn...

A magical fist slammed into Glimmer's head and the dragon was forced back to the world of the living. The Demoness Half-elf smiled, and it was Ku Y'leh's smile that the dragon first saw...

"Wakke," she murmured again, this time in the soothing voice of the former mortal. "Glimmer, it's me..."

Glimmer's eyes went wide and she wheeled back, hitting the shield that crowded in on her like a Abyssmal shadow, cutting off her retreat. The Demoness crackled again and leaned forward. "Sleep, my child, sleep...perhaps a kiss will make it all better..." Her writhing face neared Glimmer's, singing softly.

Glimmer's squeel of fright was unlike anything anyone had heard before....She tried to move, but her head felt fuzzy, her power near gone...she shuddered...and wondered...for the first time in her life...if she..shouldn't ....just Give up.......

"NO!" Came a deep throated roar of rage. Navare slammed into Ku/Akhsun, sending the demon flying. "Glimmer...." he said softly, leaning into her shoulder, helping her up. "Navare?" she mumbled softly...her gold eyes locking onto his as she felt her power return.... "we where ment for each other were'nt we?" She said softly as she in turn leaned onto him. She turned her head and saw ku/akhsun... "Ku...."

Kyel saw a small shimmer of light...and turned his noble head. the stallion shook his head in amazement...that spirit light...could it be that girl? He reared and Neighed, his form shimmering, and phasing out of this realm...all could see Kyek still standing there...but they could also see a young Irdra..with long silver-white hair, dressed entirely in white...his blue eyes where locked onto that spirit light, as he lept up to grab it....he caught the light, and held it close, using his own power to keep it from escaping this world.

Glimmer snarled, thinking that Ku was gone...and this monster stole her body...nothing mattered now...she must destroy this thing before it had a chance to fully revive. She looked at Navare, stared admiringly at him...and stood, folding her wings close to her back, and a roared. Navare glanced at her, and added his full, deep voice in with hers, they separated, and attacked from different sides.Though sometimes the pain is part of love

Kyel stood rock still beside her...the visiage of the young Irdra crouched in front of the stallion, holding onto a brilliant blue/white light...his eyes closed tightly in concentration.

She looked back to Rhal...her blue eyes wide with fear...had they succeeded in freeing their land from the black Crystal dragon only to have it desroyed by that Demoness?
