OOC: okay people, this is a new adventure (duh!) and just to let you know, it will start in the dragonlance setting, then it may move to another setting later. (I'm not going to tell you how that works out quite yet :)) here it goes....

IC:
Aria sat bolt straight in her bed of leaves. She had been awakened suddenly by....... something. Her breathing was hard and her skin was covered with a strangely cold sweat. Her golden brown hair clouded her vision as it webbed over her eyes, sticky with presperation. She tries in vain to wipe it away but to no avail.
She glanced up at the three stange moons that were above her. There was nothing like them where she came from, the red light made her nervous. As she stood up slowly, one could see that her tan skin shimmered under the full moon with a golden light of it's own. it was as if she had taken very fine glitter and smeared it on her skin. It was hardly noticable.
Her eyes were the most striking feauture of her. They were gold rimmed and fades to red, to silver to lime green flecked with silver. They were large watery eyes that stopped every man in their tracks. She hated them, they were the reason she had left. Left her home, her life.....
She came back to reality as she sat down on a thorn. She was cold too. Clothed simply in a shimmering red skirt of light material and a shimmering gold sleeveless top that was cut short. over the top she wore a red (also shimmering) over corsit that laced up in front and on the sides. the straps of her shirt lay slightly off her shoulders in disarray; which she fixed quikly. She laced up her soft sued boots to keep her feet warm.
AS if suddenly remembering something she tied her hair up with leather lacing. she did it in haste for fear that someone might see her hair down. although, she did not know the people here, they may aprove of hair worn down, perhaps not.
Suddenly the young girl whirled. She heard something, she knew someone was there. Slipping out a dagger that had been strapped to her calf she held at ready. Even though this petite, young girl looked like an easy catch; the one who tangled with her often ended up in a grave.
"Come, to me you cannot hide much longer." her voice was sweet and soft. It had a musical qaulity that literlay hypnotized all men. yet it could be full of tone and authority when she willed it. Little did anyone who looked at know that she she was a Tanave; a creature long forgotten to humans and elves, a creature that could be sweet, a creature that resembles what many had once known as a siren.*~If your going to walk on thin ice, you might as well dance~*

OOC: I think I can use my Crimson character for this one. Check out OOC: new adventures? for this one.}

BIC:

Krynn, the man he met on the road had said. ~Strange name for a world~ he thought. Of course he had been to stranger worlds, so this wasn't that strange. Getting tired of walking down the road he decides to travel trhough the woods a bit. Allthough the trees are different, the way they grow isn't very different. Stepping litely through the woods he suddenly sences a presence near. Getting up into the trees was easy, unlike another world he was on. Where the trees suddenly considered him a snack. That was however an interesting adventure, but it was another world.
He quickly makes his way through the trees. When he reaches the person he sees that it is just a little girl. He quietly makes his way down the tree. Moving slowly towards her, not making a sound.
Suddenly she seems to notice him, "Come, to me you cannot hide much longer" she says in a voice he had only heard a few times. ~no ordinary girl~ he thought. He slowly steps out into clear view.
Before her stands a tall human male, in his early twenties. He has short flaming red hair. He's wearing boots laced up to just beneat his knees. Baggy trousers tucked into the boots held in place by a wide leather belt with plain buckle, that has some strange markings on it. Tucked into the belt is a sleaves leather vest with a plain brown shirt beneath it. On his lower arms he has wat appear to be leather bracers which extend into fingerles gloves. There a small pouch at his belt but nothing else, no weapons what so ever. But he has an air of convidence about him.
"Now what would a young girl be doing out here, all by herself." he says in a kind voice.

Above the two, a large silver eagle pearched in an old dead tree. just below the Eagle was a woman of an undetermanable age. She had long silver hair, and bright gold eyes. she wore travel clothes, with a long silver cloak. in her hand was an odd looking Crystal staff. She watched the two closely.True magic is withing all of us...Magic of life, love, and mind. The question is...do you have the courage to find it?

Aria lowered her dagger slightly, she sensed that he would not harm her. Instinctivly putting on her long brown cloak she stepped forward slightly.
One could now see by the way she moved that she was of elven build. She looked young, and she was. She was 15, in human years that is. Tanave lived much longer than elves.
"I was, I am lost. This world is strange to me and I don't know this place. All I know is that I'm happy to be away from home."
Dared not give away more. her voice had taken on a more powerful quality then before. slightly deeper and more human.
She watched carefully, waiting for whatwould happen next.

OOC: By the way, I won't be able to post again until monday. Just so you know. :)*~If your going to walk on thin ice, you might as well dance~*

Crimson noticed the change in her voice, ~definitly not human~ he thought. But not even elves could produce that first voice. Not wanting to show he could tell. He crossed his arms and took on a friendly face.
"Well then It seems we're in the same situation then." he says in a friendly voice. "Well let me introduce myself. I'm known as Crimson, and who might you be?"

A Rift opened from an angle slightly above the two. A man dropped out, Clothedin a black cloak, wearing black sunglasses, and carrying a sword and dagger on his black belt. "Excuse me" a dark and calm voice said.

"Could anyone tell me where I am? I am Cindertanin by the way." Cindertanin said looking at the young man. Cindertanin was pale, had the ears of an elf yet the structure of a half-elf. Tall and strong frame, only his face was uncovered, not a blemish on him his black hair lightly spiked up. "A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "Where?"
Tas whispered something, poking the old man.
"Really? Me?" He said. "You don't say! How remarkable. now you know, come to think of it, I do seem to remember a spell... Fireball. How did it go?"

Crimson

Crimson waiting for a responce from the girl noticed the rift open up in the corner of his eyes. The man that came out of the rift looked odly familiar. At least.. the way he was dressed. Of course with all of the different world there are, and the ones he has been to. Seeing someone that looked familiar is always a possibility.

"Wel, wel." Crimson said comically, "Another one from a distant place. Well this is supposed to be Krynn. At least that is what a man on the road told me. He didn't know where on Krynn, odly enough. Oh well, I'm Crimson but the young lady here hasn't told me her name yet."Why is it we always forget to keep the good things close to our heart,

Oh nevermins it's you outfit, Silver was the color of one of my friends, though he had much more power than you. Crimson, I think it best to get names right as we walk, the one watching us can come aswell if she pleases.""A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "Where?"

BIC: Kalia wasn't startled that she was spotted...she didn't intend on hiding herself. she almost fell from the branch in laughter though. The silver Eagle ducked his head, and gave out a slight chortleing cry. "What are you laughting at Ayslynn??" she giggled, and lept from her high perch. As she fell, she seemed to fade from sight for a breif moment, reappearing just as her feet lightly touched the ground.

"Forgive me for intruding....I am Kalia Majere...Order of the silver robes...Taught by The Thorn himself. And it wouldn't do you any good to underestimate me." she smiled, and winked.

Ayslynn dived from his perch and landed on her outstretched arm."On a hot summer's night, would you offer your throat to the wolf With the red roses?"

Shall we begin walking, there could be things in this forest we don't want to meet with." Cindertanin said.

"I hope when you said "things" you were'nt reffering to me!" came a rather indignant giggle from the nearby underbrush. The first thing the companions saw was a pair of mirrored almond shaped orbs, seemingly floating in mid air. As they continued to look, they blinked. The person took a step forward to reveal a slender elven frame wrapped in a silver robe. The sound of a short sword could be heard slapping against her left thigh as she walked, her spell pouches jiggling about her waist. The Kagonesti silver robed fighter mage surveyed the group, quietly giggling to herself. She opened her arms to her old friend, Kalia.
"Kalia, my dear friend! It has been so long! Quite a performance you put on there, nearly braining yourself like you did by falling from that branch. I swear, if it wasn't for your heritage I'd swear you were a cross between human, kender and gnome!"Ray: It looks like a giant Jello mould!!

Kalia turned and smiled in genuine joy to see her friend. "Mirror!" she cried and hugged the Kagonesti. "I'll forgive that remark this time..." she giggled. and smiled. "Though my god father was a kender...." she laughed as she thought of her adoptive family...Humans, kender, and even elves...She smiled wistfully and then turned back to the group.

"so...Whats going on?""On a hot summer's night, would you offer your throat to the wolf With the red roses?"

The sun was unusually bright this morning as Devan made his way across the tree branches of the sleeping forest. Though for the Drow the sun was always unusually bright for he had seen it for the first time a mere five years ago after seventy three years in the perpetual darkness of the Underdark. When he had come to the surface he had thought he could make a life for himself amongst the peoples of the above world, but instead he was met with fear and hatred which had forced the renegade drow into a life away from them and secluded in his own gloom.

The Last thing he remembered was that accursed wizard Harpell Harkell offering to transport him to Waterdeep. Devan knowing the sucess rate of the wizard had denyed the offer but it had been too late. Now he came to rest silently in the crook of a treebranch above these people who had assembled beneith him. He had heard the man speak of this place as Krynn, Devan wondered where in the realms Krynn was located and how far from Waterdeep had the mage sent him.

Something was odd to Devan though he couldn't put his finger on it. He had always felt the power of his matron godess Eilestree surging through him through the pendent he wore around his neck yet now somehow the power seemed distant and benine. Also all the magic around him 'felt' different than before. It was time to get to the bottom of this right now. Devan called upon his innate ability to levitate which was preserved by the amulet and lowered himself slowly to the ground where he landed silently behind the group.

He moved his hands away from the hilts of his twin mithral-silver etched scimitars which hung at his hip and in a clear voice said,

"Where may I ask in the Seven Hells am I? And how far in which direction is it to Waterdeep on the Sword Coast?"

They suddenly turned and regarded him with eyes that lacked fear. For the first time someone other than Krysta regarded him as something other than a viper ready to strike at a moment's noticed. Either these people lacked fear or he really was far from home.

Cindertanin dropped to a knee, lowered his head, then stood. "It is an honor to be near someone so... like myself. I am not a Drow but I'm close to it. I am Cindertanin, I know not where you seek but I will acompany you until you get there. I am at your command" Cindertanin said, again bowing to the Drow. *I hope he regards me with peace* Cindertanin thought *He is the closest thing to my kin, and I should keep him safe*"A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "Where?"
Tas whispered something, poking the old man.

As the one who called himself Cindertanin dropped to a knee Devan thought he had lost his mind. He had never had another living creature bow to him. And the closest thing to reverence he had experienced was from Krysta and that wasn't reverence but Love. Now he looked at this man who offered to accompany him until he reached waterdeep yet neither of them knew how far that was or even where it was in relation to where they stood at this moment.

Once he had overcome the initial shock of the event he regained his composure and spoke to the man.

" No you are not at my command Cindertanin, you are a free spirit and thus noone bears the right to command you. Especially me. You may accompany me anywhere you wish for I am far from home I fear and thus I experience an overwhelming lack of friends. But you will accompany me as a companion not as a servent."

The man looked at him and then rose to his feet. If this man had any false thoughts of the drow due to Devan he must rid him of them now.

" Never do that again if you prize your life friend. Though I am not as such, another Drow would take your offer as a chance to sheith a shord into your body."

Now to find out exactly where he was. Devan looked at the ring on his right hand and gently blew upon it. It began to glow lightly as Devan spoke the words of an ancient elven enchantment.

" Oh great silph goddess of the winds, come to me your elven brother."

As Devan finished the incantation a great gust of wind blew through the clearing and before his stood what appeared to be an elven woman. Though she was clothed in transperant silk and her hair blew constantly behind her. THe apperition of Silph spoke in a voice as sweet as honey,

" It has been long since last we spoke Devanathus Cyldragen, why do you summon me to this distant corner of the multiverse."

"What?!?!" Devan replied, " Where am I Silph, where has that occursed mage sent me?"

" You stand in a seperate plane from your own, in a land known as Krynn."

"How do I get home?" he asked

"This I do not know for I myself must be summoned to the planes and cannot travel freely. For if this is all ye seek of me I shall now return to my plane for such summons weaken me."

" Yes I am sorry return to your home." Devan said.

With that the spirit of the winds dissappeared in a great gust of wind which blew through the clearing yet again.

"Krynn." Devan said to himself. Then he noticed the others including Cindertanin stood staring at him. He felt the need to explain why a Drow would summon creatures not of the abyss. So before anyone said anything to him he spoke up.

" I am Devanathus Cyldragen, Devan." he began, " I am a Ranger of Elistree. By some means unknown to me I have been sent here by the magic of a wizard friend of mine Harpell Harkell. I am far from my home and would like to accompany you until I find my way home."Make enemys deliberately and then kill them slowly. That is what keeps life interesting.

"I will help you get to your home then. You seem very familiar to me, though I have met many in my live, the reverance was because you seemed like a person I knew in the past, and also you are a ranger, a class of nobility and honor, also you are a Drow, this I do respect because I know the pain you have indured. People, like I don't get treated well when no race can nor will claim us." Cindertanin removed his sunglasses to show 2 black pits that were in the space of others eyes, these pits were covered when he closed his eyes and put the glasses back on.
"Can we begin to walk now?" Cindertanin said."A magic-user?" the old man peered around. "Where?"
Tas whispered something, poking the old man.
"Really? Me?" He said. "You don't say! How remarkable. now you know, come to think of it, I do seem to remember a spell... Fireball. How did it go?"

Crimson looked at the drow with some surprise in his eyes. ~a drow, well well all the way out here~ he thought. Of course the real reason he didn't fear the drow was because he had faced them before. Allthough they were good fighters they were no real match for him, but they were one of the toughest he had encountered.

"I don't believe with the amount of people here we have to fear something from the woods." Crimson stated, "But I'm still waiting for a answer from the young lady here." Looking at the young woman.
