((OOC: Thought I'd try a hand at this - This idea came from a dream I had last night. It seemed like a cool idea, so here goes :) I'll post what I remember from the dream, and then YOU guys can help me fill in the rest as we go.)))
The town was celebrating the end of a recent hunt. A horrible creature had been massacreing the villiagers, and only two huntsmen had been left standing. Harley had watched the hunt in secret - following the hunters "in case they needed help ;)" and she and two others in the inn that night knew who had truely made the kill.. One of the hunters sat in a corner, while the other was the center of activity. This second hunter was surrounded by most of the town's small population. They were singing and cheering for their hunt "Champion," a non-descript farmer - had been known at times to be a bit of a bully, and was presently excitedly waiving around a large sack of coins, his reward for the kill. Harley glanced back at the man in the corner and stood up.
"Excuse me, sir?" She waded through the crowd, until she was standing directly in front of the huntsman. "Sir *smiling sweetly* May I have the honor of giving a kiss to such a huntsman?" His eyes grazed over her form approvingly. She was wearing a form-fitting black velvet skirt, with a black velvet duster which tied just beneath her breasts - leaving little, but just enough to the imagination. She had a large sword-shaped pendant hanging ona sliver thread around her delecate neck. She had beautiful blue eyes, with violet flecks. Her hair was a beautiful brown with burgundy highlights.
He leaned in for his kiss, and pursed his lips, anticipating a sweet embrace. Instead, he received a punch in the chops and a swift kick to the groin. He dropped his pouch of coins as he fell to the floor in a fetal position. The bag was cought in mid-air by Harley who then walked to the man in the corner, dropped the bag on his table and kissed him passionatley. "May I intruduce the true winner of the hunt?"********Dutchess Of Dork******

BIC: Ayeka winced as the Woman punched the man then proceeded to kick him in the groin. She watched the woman walk up to another man and proceed to announce him as the winner of the hunt. She chuckled, and shook her head in wonder...she wondered if she would ever understand humans...even though she herself was half human.

Ayeka turned and wondered where Kiri was...It was nearly dusk, they should be moving on.shoiri-"you must hate me for what I've done..."

"How dare you!" Nemma declared. She had once been a favorite of the Huntsman's, and though he had moved on to other women, Nemma still held him high in her mind. Thus she was immediately bristled to see this . . . cow . . . degrade him in such a way, taking what she felt was his hard earned money and giving it to a no-name in the corner.

Nemma approached the woman and drew two long knives. "You'd better give that back and beg he doesn't beat you . . .or I will!" She threatened."Faithless is he who says farewell when the road darkens." -- Gimli, The Fellowship Of The Ring

((OOC: Hey, Jade, your first thread! Do you have any sort of plot? Cuz I had a thread I was gunna do with Kiri, so if you don't have any idea what's gunna happen...but its your thread so...))

Kiri-Koli watched the young girl as she took out that rather large man basking in much attention. She grinned at the girl's guts, the smile lighting up her rather severe features. Her shoulder-length obsidian hair twisted about, framing her face and enhancing her glowing green eyes. Watching the girl walk over with an air of confidence and pronounce the real winner, Kiri's respect for her rose several levels. On their path, her eyes caught sight of her best friend, Ayeka, who was looking both impressed and bewildered at the same time. Kiri's grin grew wider.

Slipping through the crowd, contorting her lithe body in a vain effect to get past people without knocking into them, Kiri silently rose behind Ayeka and let out a scream of pure terror right in her ear. The half-vampire jumped at least five feet in the air, as did several other people standing too close to them. Shaking, Ayeka spun to face her friend, but Kiri was too busy laughing to say anything to her companion. The silver robed mage doubled over, her sides aching.

The crowd returned to their business after sparing a moment to give the laughing human several dirty looks. Kiri managed to stand up after a minute or two, though she couldn't stop giggling. Out of the corner of one tearing green eye, she could see that she had caught the girl's attention...

Ayeka jumped, as Kiri Screamed in her ear. She spun to see her friend doubled over in laughter. Ayeka blushed, as she mentally struggled to push the gold hint out of her Twilight colored eyes.

"Kiri!! Don't do that!!" She cried, hoping her friend didn't notice how close she came to "vamping" out (Sorry...cant think of another way to put it...lol)

Ayeka brushed back her long dark gold hair. As she moved, the deep blue cloak moved to reveal her rapier, and an odd looking whip at her side. She looked away again to look back to the crowd. as she watched on, she couldn't help but think of her mate, Alucardt.shoiri-"you must hate me for what I've done..."

(too many women in this thread... :))

Jardex stood up as the women screamed and shook his head. Moving over to the other women with the bag, Jardex bowed gracefully, his short borwn hair, slender yet muscular figure, handsome face, and outlandish clothing making him an odd appearance.
With a flick of the wrist, the money bag was suddenly in Jardex's hand, a dagger appearing in the other.
"My many thanks." With another bow, Jardex began to slide backwards towards the exit...

Nemma rolled her eyes. "What the Heyall!?!?!?!?!?" Two other women had come in supporting Harley, and now some complete stranger had taken the money. Nemma swiftly turned and ran out of the exit screaming. "Bastard! Orc-friend! Kiri had stopped laughing. She was standing straight, her emerald eyes flashing darkly. She hated theives. Stepping closer to the exit, her silver robes swirling with soft intensity, the mage muttered a few choice words. Thin chords shot from her fingertips and sped as silver lightning towards the man. Silently they wrapped around the theif's wrists, pulling his hand together. With one fluid motion, the man turned his dagger and attempted to cut his bonds. But the chords were resistant to any ordinary weapon and most magical ones. A few seconds later, the silver bonds tightened on specific pressure points and the thief was forced to drop his dagger and the money bag.

Just to be sure he wasn't going to try anything, Kiri muttered, "Liquid Silva" and a large elven bow appeared in her hands. Drawing back an emerald arrow, she pointed it at the thief's heart.

Ayeka walked up to stand behind Kiri, Her eyes held their golden cast once more...Kinda like a cat caught in a bright light.

She smiled faintly, wondering just what this man was going to do....Theives and Cut-throats, Her staple Diet....She refused to harm the innocent.

Casually, She dropped her hand down to touch the sword at her hip.

"yes...do please try..." She said, smiling.shoiri-"you must hate me for what I've done..."

Jardex falshed a stunning smile.
"Ladies, ladies. Please." Jardex looked at the bow and opened his eyes in mock awe. "Wow, that is quite a weapon." Jardex stared at it all the while secretly twisting a ring upon his finger.
Suddenly, Jardex was gone, then the clever thief appeared again behind the women with the bow, a ruby pommeld dagger drawn across her throat.
"Hiyas." He said cheerfully.

Jadalyn, who had lost the crowds attention during the commotion, used this to her advantage, as the theif had apparantly forgotten about her as well. "___ ___" (((ooc: sorry - gotta check one of my books for the phrase i want to use here))) The sword medalion hanging from her neck was gone, the sword was in her hands, full sized!! Ayeka's eyes lost all trace of the Blue-Violet color...they where now a solid, Cats eye Gold. "how dare you...." she hissed. In threatening Kiri, this Theif had forfited his life in her eyes. with inhuman speed, dexterity and strength, she grabbed Jardex's wrist, nearly crushing the radius and Ulnar bones in the lower arm, forcing him to drop the dagger.

"Kiri....Get out of here..." she hissed, never moving her eyes from Jardex's. Her entire focus was on him. then, over the roar of the pounding of her heart, she could Hear Kiri pleading with her.

Slowly, the gold faded from Ayeka's eyes. "you're not even worth my time..." She growled, The elongated Canines visible. "Don't do that again...or you will forfiet your life..." she hissed, turning to Kiri.

((OOC: Whoa people!!! I think Jardex kinda forgot he had his hands tied and the dagger was on the floor!! Honestly, people, pay attention.))

Kiri watched Jadelyn and Ayeka run outside, absentmindly tossing the theif's dagger and ring between her slender hands. The theif, his hands retied, was eyeing the ring as it went up and down through the air. Kiri frowned. She wasn't sure how he had rid himself of his bonds in the first place but as he hadn't done it again, she decided it was due to the ring or dagger.

Either that or he was waiting for the right moment.

Turning to the theif, she gave him a dark look. Her severe features conveyed how she felt about him right about now and how much she figured his life was worth. Her anger was solely based on his causing Ayeka's reaction--she wouldn't be much of a mage if she could be taken out with a magic ring and a dagger.

The young mage leaned close to the thief. "I don't s'pose you want to tell me how you got out of my bonds...No?" she grinned. "Well, then. I'll just have to find a way to make you talk." Shouting outside that Ayeka should meet her in their room, the young mage turned towards the stairs of the Inn.

"What 'bout 'im?" One patrons, rather drunk, shouted.

"Thank you for reminding me," Kiri laughed. Waving a hand, the theif was jerked forward by an invisible force and pulled up the stairs. Once in the room, Kiri laughed and whispered, "Watch closely..."

Reaching into a silver pouch, she pulled out golden dust and blew it off her hand. A circle of intricate runes appeared on the floor. By now the theif was struggling but the invisible force held him. Still laughing, the young mage shoved him forward and into the circle of the runes which had begun to glow...

ic; Nemma looked around the dark night. What was she doing? She was not some brave warrior who went about righting-wrongs . . .wrongs as she saw it in her own mind, nonetheless. She knew what a bastard Brig (generically naming the 'fake' huntsman) could be, and it was completely possible that he hadn't felled the creature. Still, for some reason she still loved him, but knew he would never love her back.

A tear fell from her dark eyes and she wiped it angrily away.

She heard something behind her and turned quickly to see the other women run out, looking.

Looking for me? She wondered. She stepped into the shadows and disappeard. She sheathed her daggers and quickly scaled the nearest tree, climbing lithely out on a limb right over Autumn. Here I am! She thought, softly chanting magic. Her image appeared a few feet from where Autumn stood, walking briskly away. Follow that . . . She thought, Quickly, now, or you'll lose her!

Ayeka frowned, She looked around again slightly confused. She willed her vampiric side to surface so that magic was more visible...and she realized the true illusion.

"hmmm..." she mumbled, and turned to Jadalyn, pointing to the retreating figure. Quickly the two separated. Ayeka however retraced her steps, and circled around. Her hand rested on her whip.

"I know you're back here....I just want to talk to you!!" She called, as she cast a furitive glance behind her towards the Inn."I prefer to be called a Treasure hunter....Its not my fault that people don't guard their valubles as well as they should..."

Kiri-Koli shook her head in disgust at the thief. Such talent...wasted.

"I don't have time for you," she said firmly. Outside, she could hear Ayeka trying to find the girl that had left the tavern in a hurry.

Leaving the thief to his own devices, Kiri practically ran down the stairs and out of the Inn. As she reached the doorway and stepped outside, a huge headache came over her and she stood still, swaying for several painful moments. The sun glared in her emerald eyes, forcing them to tear.

"Kiri!?" she cried, in sudden alarm. She reached her friend, and studied her eyes. Her alarm increased when she saw a slight golden cast to Kiri's Emerald eyes.

Ayeka lunged at Kiri, Her Twilight colored eyes now gold, she could feel her own teeth sharpen. She fought her own hunger back, as she Knocked Kiri to the ground. Ayeka winced as they both hit the wooden floor. She strived to hold Kiri at bay, as Kiri tried to claw frantically at her.

"Forgive me my friend..." She whispered softly as she brought her clenched fists down on the side of Kiri's head, knocking her out.

Angered, Ayeka glared at Jardex. she realized that he was trapped by Kiri's cirlce. she frowned and looked him square in the eys. Her eyes where still gold, and her elongated canine teeth where quite visible. "I warn you now...try anything, and I will Kill you..." she growled knowing that she couldn't break that circle with out Kiri.

She lay Kiri down on the bed. "Damn it...." she swore. "I had hoped that this wasn't going to happen." Quickly, she removed the pendant from around her neck, and fastened it around Kiri's.

"there...that should help..." she murmered.

Gently placed her hand on Kiri's head, right where she struck her friend. Using what little magic she knew, she healed the bruise, and gently shook her friend.

"Kiri?? Kiri!! Come on now...Wake up!" she whispered.True magic is withing all of us...Magic of life, love, and mind. The question is...do you have the courage to find it?

Kiri blinked. Filtered light came through the shades, blinding her.

"The light..." she croaked, her throat impossibly dry. Ayeka ran to block the window.

Kiri moaned. She felt...empty. As if there were a gaping hole in her stomach, something gnawing at her insides...

She rolled over on the soft bed and curled up, pulling her legs as close to her chest as she could. "It hurts..." she whispered. Her slender fingers brushed cold metal. With effort, she looked down. Ayeka's medallion hung around her neck. It warmed to her touch and after a few minutes, the young mage felt better.

She sat up slowly and glanced around with a frown. She had been outside...she caught Ayeka's eyes and held them with a slightly golden gaze. She didn't know why her friend flinched under that gaze nor why she was so pale.

"Kiri...hon, I have something to tell you...something that I should've told you that day that we met. when you saved me that day, I noticed something about you...something that I should've told you right then and there..." she paused, sitting down on the bed slightly behind kiri.

"This is hard...but I have to tell you...I tasted it in your blood. Ayeka manuvered herself so that she was sittin with Kiri leaning aginst her chest.

"Kiri, Honey, listen to me ok? you have to feed, I will help you for now, but we have to do something fast...that medallion won't hold it back for long...the stronger the hunger, the weaker that magic gets."

Kiri-Koli listened to Ayeka's words, her green-gold eyes wide. She had felt better for a few minutes but while her friend had talked, it had started to come back...but...

She remember her disgust when she had saved Ayeka's life...allowed her to feed...

"No..." she whispered. Her green-gold eyes locked on the vein as Ayeka rolled up her sleeve and she backpedalled so quickly she fell off the other side of the bed. Ayeka frowned at Jardex. She fought the urge to kill him herself, and turned back to Kiri. Ayeka gently rested her hand on Kiri's shoulder.

"Listen..please...I am doing this for you...I know your fear..." she said softly, easing Kiri back towards the bed.

"Kiri...this has been repressed all your life...there must be a way to repress it again. We will find it...I promise you this. But right now...you have to do this, Its either this, or an innocent...and at the rate you're going...no one would survive your attack."

Ayeka pulled out a small dagger from her boot. She had sharpened this one to a razor edge. "Kiri...you're like a sister to me...we've been through quite a bit...I can't allow you to choose death...there is too much in front of you..." With a sharp, quick movement, she made a cut on her wrist, about an inch long. she made sure it was deep, and watched as the blood welled and flowed (she cut along the middle, between the two bones, not the artery) evenly.

"Come on Kiri...Don't make me force you..." she said softly, her eyes locked on her friend.True magic is withing all of us...Magic of life, love, and mind. The question is...do you have the courage to find it?

Venlah stood atop a large mountain as he surveyed the land. A small elfmaiden lay dead at his feet, a meal for later he supposed. A white robed mage stood before him in defiance as he cast his last spell which had no effect. "FOOL! you are no match for me!!!! I am the son of Nuitari." With a swift movement of his hand the mage was held inthrall and motionless. I want you to see me devour this maiden and learn your own fate.

The mage could do nothing but watch as the huge being devoured the elf maiden with seeming delight. Towering above him Venlah to great pleasure in seeing the fear in his eyes as he approached. Well over 9 feet he was an imposing figure. He grabbed the mage by his neck and raised him to his face level and looked him in the eye. "Soon all of krynn will bow before me and pay me homage. Nuitari has blessed me and I will not fail."

The mage in his defiance spat in his face, he knew his fate and was resigned to it. He could only hope that others would not have to face it as well.

Angry, Venlah with a slight of hand movement snapped his neck. And like so many others the mage was devoured; giving him even more power.

Kiri-Koli smiled weakly at her friend and closed her eyes. She barely tasted the blood, shut out it's warmth...but she couldn't ignore the passionate satisfaction that ran through her body, leaving it with a disturbing tingling sensation. Sighing, she lay back on the bed and fell alseep.

"The Stone of Temeras is a conduit for magical power. It flows through each of us and calls to us...and the griffon as well." the woman paused and the young human spoke up, her green eyes blazing.

"It protects us too, right Shlafie?" the woman smiled. "Yes, Kiri, it does. You are too young to understand the connection that the Stone brings, but it is profound. You will know someday." The child squirmed impatiently.

"Are there more Stones, Shlafie?"

Ayeka sighed, the wound on her wrist had long since healed. She looked down at her friend, who lay sleeping on the bed. She knew that Kiri dreamed, but what she dreamed was unknown to Ayeka.

She paced restlessly, wracking her brain trying to think of why that half of her had been repressed for so long. She was fully aware of Jardex still inside Kiri's Circle. She looked at him oddly, her own intuition taking over. She had a sense about people and their abilities.

"so...Jardex is it?" she asked, her telepathic abilities lending his name. "Well...quite a situation that you brought to yourself..." she walked around the outside of the circle. "I still warn you...I will Kill you if you try anything here...." She turned and walked over to Kiri, placing her own warding spell around the girl. "Jennah?" she called softly. Out of a shadow in the corner of the room, a Pure White wolf padded into view.

Mistress? came the musical voice of the white wolf. Ayeka knelt down gently scratching the wolf behind her ears. "Jennah, watch over Kiri...and keep an eye on this scoundrel...Protect Kiri at all costs." Jennah touched her nose to Ayeka's hand and lept up on the bed beside Kiri.

Ayeka walked out of the room, and went outside...dusk was approaching, and she was waiting for her mate, Alucardt.

She waited patiently, her long golden hair loose, her deep Violet-blue eyes watching for movement carefully. she didn't see Billy, Alucardt's wolf leap up behind her, knocking her over.

"Billy!!" she cried, trying to hold him and his hyper Tounge away. "Billy! " came Alucardt's deep stern voice. The large grey wolf whined and backed away from Ayeka. Laughing she stood up. Alucardt hugged her tightly and laughed.

When he set her down, Ayeka grew serious. "It happened...Kiri's vampiric half has awakened...and I still don't know what held that back for so long...my medallion will hold back the worst of it for now...but, It wont work for long...if it keeps getting stronger, my medallion wont do a thing against it."

Alucardt frowned, his amber eyes troubled. he knew how much kiri ment to Ayeka. "Can you steal away for an hour or so?" he asked almost timidly. Ayeka smiled, and laughed. "Yes...I have a warding spell on her...and Jennah is watching her...should we send Billy up as well?" She asked, cuffing the grey wolf on his ears. Billy looked up at her with his one Green eye and one blue. Alucardt smiled. "I think he wants to be with Jennah as much as I want to be with you..." he chuckled and signaled for Billy to go.

He wrapped his arms around Ayeka's shoulders, guiding her away from the inn. "Come on...Kiri will be fine." He said as the dissapeared into the night.True magic is withing all of us...Magic of life, love, and mind. The question is...do you have the courage to find it?

Kiri woke with a start. The theif was still in the Circle, miraculously, and staring at her.

"Oh, just escape, why don't you?" she exploded. "I know you can! The magic's weak...it's been weak ever since..." she paused and adopted a thoughtful expression. "And it's been getting weaker..."

The young mage closed her emerald eyes. Yes, the magic was weak...and pulling...the Call...

Kiri jumped to her feet. "Do you know what this means?!" she asked the theif excitedly. Without waiting for an answer, she headed for the door. Before crossing the threshold, she turned back and smiled sweetly. "Coming?"

Billy stood, untangling himself from Jennah. Kiri laughed. "I was talking to him...You and Jennah can stay if you like. Get some rest." The wolf looked around uncertainly. "Really, I'm fine." Then she headed out the door and down to the main room of the tavern.

Leaping gracefully up onto a table, the mage cleared her throat. The room became quiet. "Ladies and gentlemen...I am about to start out on a quest. It is a dire quest , indeed, and if need be I shall go alone. But if any of you seek adventure, I bid you come with me. I cannot guarentee treasure or even payment...but I know that all not seek just riches and I had to offer the chance to such great adventurers as yourselves."

Suddenly rather dizzy, Kiri sat down and waited to see if any wished to accompany her in the hunt for the Stone of Temeras.

Kiri looked up, startled as the loud sound of someone falling reached her ears. She shook her head softly and then grinned at Ayeka and the new companions who was talking to a rather flustered young woman. Kiri hid a secret smile. She was willing to bet anything that the woman had been spying on them.

She turned to the newcomers. "I am Kiri-Koli and I am most grateful that you are willing to accompany us. This is my friend, Ayeka." she said to the one who had pledged her help, then turned to the blushing woman. "We are going on a quest for an ancient magic sacred to me and needed for the continuation of my life." The two woman exchanged looks.

Kiri opened her mouth to say more and then choked on her words. A wave of nausea swept over the young mage and she grabbed at the medallion around her neck trying to breathe and hide her reaction at the same time. Ayeka saw it all the same, but the proud mage's expression forbid her to mention it.

The mage dimissed the thought with some difficulty. It was just to funny and she was happy for her friend, plus...it was a welcome distraction.

"Well we can leave now if no one has anything to keep them here...I supposed I should tell you all where we are going.

Soon after I was born, my parents were pursued by an evil that I know not of. They're flight took them, or I believe drew them, to the Valley of the Vanished Moons. The Valley was a peaceful place, not given to prejuices. It was protected and ruled by one of the Seven Stones of Temeras. Four of these Stones are said to adorn the jewelry of the Gods, made by Reorx. Three of them fell to Earth a long time ago. One made it's way to the Valley and started to call to those who yearned for Balance and magic.

As they neared the Valley, my parents were caught in a fight and died. I was rescued by the elf, Majie, who was my mother and teacher from that day on. I lived in the Valley and learned of its ways for 16 years before it was devastated by an unspeakable evil.

One of the Stones has been destroyed. At least two others still remain on Krynn. It is our quest to find one or both of them. Any questions?"

Kiri surveyed the companions with her startling emerald gaze, avoiding Ayeka's eyes, as she knew her friend would not had missed all that she choose to omit...

"I'm game." Nemma said. Her long dark brown hair was pulled up into an intricate braiding against her head and her bright brown eyes sparkled. She wore a light, loose tunic beneath a richly embellished black vest with dark brown doe-skin leggings and soft, noiseless leather boots. Strapped to one boot was a dagger, and an empty sword belt hung around her waist. She called to one of the boys of the inn, who replied by bringing her a rapier from some hidden room. The hilt of which was a masterpiece of swirling gold and silver, accented by sapphire. She attached the sheath to her belt, then looked at the others and smiled. Kiri grinned at Nemma. "Come on then."

They walked out to the stables and mounted the 4 waiting horses. The sun was begining to set, dipping below the horizen, but determined to go out in a blaze of glory. Trees shivered in the slight breeze--the path was deserted, giving the companions a sense of unease despite the golden sky before them.

Kiri sat tall on her horse--a beautiful mare with a silky black mane--deep in thought. She ignored her surroundings until she heard Nemma gasp softly. What? Kiri mouthed to her.

In response Nemma pointed to the bushes. They quivered slightly in the wind...no, no wind. The air was deathly calm, night having dispelled the former breeze. Kiri glanced back at Nemma.

Harley had noticed the movement in the bushes, and noticed as well, that Nemma pointed it out to Kiri. Gripping her sword shaped pendant, she tore the silver ribbon that held it. As she moved her arm as though taking a sword from its sheath, her pendant quickly grew until it was a life sized sword - deadly sharp, and with runes etched in it's sides, giving it magical powers.
"I'll take the bunch on the right, you guys handle the ones on the left"
Harley lept from her horse and took on an aggressive stance, daring any one of the goblins to come out of the bushes and try to attack her.********Dutchess Of Dork******

An old man with fading red robes walked into the midle of the robe, with another red robed mage behind him.

"Ah, Nemma, it's good to see you again! Glad to see you're doing well." The old man said smiliing.

Suddenly the red robe behind him began to laugh loudly and evilly.

"Horaxon! Woudl you stop that, you scare the devil out of me every time you do that!" the old man said.

"Sorry Master, I should be a better behaved apprentice, but I seem to like my evil laugh, MWAHAHAHA!" Horaxon yelled, just as he was caught in the knee with a staff and fell into a puddle of mud.

"Serves you right foolish child." Zimen the Red Robe said. "Well, I believe I should conjure myself a ride then shouldn't I, come here Horaxon."

As the Apprentice walked to his master he shook with cold. Zimen tapped him with his staff and his robes were changed into a carpet that levitated, making Horaxon colder in this night.

"Oh just relax, you have more robes in your pack over there." Zimen said smiling at Nemma. "Is that the pendant your grandmother had, it takes me back years seeing you wear that."

((OOC: Damn. Okay. *trying to think*))

Kiri-koli swayed slightly. She was tired, so very tired, and the constant rythmic motion of her horse wasn't at all helping. Something was sapping her energy...whether it was the exertion, her curse, or the feeling of helplessness...she couldn't tell.

She fell asleep slowly, gripping the saddle automatically and hanging on despite her unconscious state. She dreamed then, a fragmented dream all in red...

Faces and words flowed by her emerald eyes and she reached out, trying to grasp them and hold them as one might try to hold water as it seeps through one's fingers.

A wall of red drops seperated her from her goal and she could just barely see beyond it a purplish...

Blue, she thought. And then she giggled. It was blue. The red was making it purple. And it was a stone.

She giggled again and her eyes fluttered open and closed. She distantly realized that she was giggling out loud and wondered what her friends would think. Their faces swam before her and she laughed.

The stone. It was there, so close. She could almost reach out and touch it...but the red wall stopped her hand and flowed over her fingers. She recoiled in horror as the smell of blood, revolting and tantalizing, registered on her senses. But she forced herself closer, pushing through the walls till her fingertips brushed the edge of the Stone, electifying and beautiful...

Kiri, her eyes closed, reached forward into thin air, straining to reach nothing. Abruptly, her heels dug into her horse's side and she took off through the woods, flying, off the path. "I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and

Ayeka nearly fell from her own saddle as She heard the others shouting after Kiri.

"She'Endra!" she cried, leaning forward in her saddle, giving NightHeart the signal to completely open up and run. "Jenna! stop her!!" she cried. The white wolf let out a long, deep throated howl. As Jenna raced down the path, past Nemma and Harley, three other wolves joined in the chase. The four wolves split up, Jenna with a dark grey, and Billy, with a dusky red. The pairs ran on either side of the horse, barking, and yipping, growling and snapping their Jaws.

Kiri's horse raced on, while the four wolves strove to terrify it into slowing down. Jenna barked once, while Billy let out a short howl, and the small pack shifted, they raced on ahead, leaving Kiri's horse to run alone.

Ayeka spurred NightHeart to get the mare to run as fast as she could....Jenna and the other four split up, each in a different direction. as Kiri passed them, The wolf would herd the horse east. They continued untill they reached a natural stone Corral, a cliff loomed fifty feet above them.

"Gotcha!" Ayeka cried, as she caught NightHeart's Reins. "Kiri! She'Endra! Hey!" She gently slapped Kiri's cheek noticing the dazed look on her friend's face. "Kiri!"It takes a Heart of Steel

Kiri blinked as Ayeka slapped her across the face and then raised her arm to slap again...the mage reached up and caught the arm, holding it at bay with ease, not noticing as her friend's face blanched in pain.

"I saw it! I saw the Stone...but there was blood, so much blood...in the way. It blocked me and I tried to get through, but I couldn't...it was so disgusting and so...so...red! Everything was red!" she screamed, her voice echoing off the cliff.

Her head rolled back and her pupils disappeared as if she had fallen unconscious. Her hand was still holding Ayeka's arm and it was begining to turn blue, a numb feeling crawling up her arm...

"RED!" Kiri yelled again, her head shooting back forward, her green eyes terribly bloodshot. Ayeka yelled, startled, and fell backwards, saved only by Kiri's deathgrip on her wrist.

The mage looked at her, suddenly calm and mildly confused. "What did you call me? She'Endra? Hehe..." she giggled, then abruptly stopped, looking hard at Ayeka with narrowed eyes. "Who are you?""I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and

Ayeka flinched at Kiri's words....

"who are you?" each word a deliberate slap... Ayeka's Blue/violet eyes held their golden cast due to the pain Kiri caused her when she held her arm in such a powerful grip.

"Kiri? She'Endra-Blood Sister....Whats wrong with you? Its me...Ayeka!" she said softly, as she bit down on her lip, nearly drawing blood. Trying to calm her racing heart, before she did something she would later regret.

The loss of the power within her is driving her to madness.... Jenna's howl filled Ayeka's mind.

"Kiri? She'Endra-Blood Sister....Whats wrong with you? Its me...Ayeka!"

Kiri cocked her head to the side and a thoughtful expression crossed her face. She watched Nemma paniced and Horaxon laugh. She watched the expression of pain cross her best friend's face and wondered why...

"Oh!" she yelped, letting go of Ayeka's arm. "Sorry about that..." She offered a quirky smile to the half-vampire. "Of course its you, Ayeka. Who else would it be? Hm...I guess I was going to fall over. She'Endra...I like that."

Standing up the mage dusted herself off and then frowned at her friend's horrified expressions. "What? Why are we all standing around here? Where is here anyway?" She attempted a laugh that died in her throat. "What is wrong with you people?"

Nemma sided up besides Ayeka and whispered something about having amnesia about having amnesia.

Kiri looked to the path her horse had torn through the woods and then gave Nemma a reassuring smile. "I remember it," she said lightly. Kiri reached up to calm her horse and then grinned broadly at Ayeka and Nemma. "Yeah, I'm fine. Why do you ask?"

Mounting the black steed, the mage started off in no particular direction, dodging any questions her companions had about where they were going with lighthearted cheerfulness. They rode as the sun streamed across the sky till night fell, revealing teasing stars. The moons--the shimmery white of Solinari and the forbrooding blood red of Lunitari--peaked over the horizon as they came to a strange stretch of ominous mountains which filled the vision and seemed almost as if they had been made...but not the gods...not by anything with such a right...

Undaunting and humming a jittery tune to herself, Kiri reigned her horse in and dismounted, heading on foot up a steep incline, using the jagged edges of monsterous boulders to aid in her journey. It was obvious where she was headed; a dark maw stood out from gray rock, untouched by moonlight and forbidding any sound above a whisper...

Ignoring the cries from others or the warnings, They charged foreward. thinking the complex words of a spell, a chain of energy shot out from the top and wrapped around the necks of Ayeka and Nemma, one from both mages.

"One move, and they die, I know you heroes and your pride, you'll not let them die. Tell me how to use the stone, I am capable of breaking them I can, I did many years back in the valley, I destroyed that town you were raised in Kiri, not any other, just me and my apprentice." "Ohand sorry Nemma, dear, I'm not you're relative. And poor Horaxon asked me to be nice to you, Put her into a sphere apprentice, she'll be unharmed but unable to change this moment. Now Kiri, tell me how to cast of your friend dies, and don't dare attack me, My Queen would deflect it, then you'd fall next." Zimen said, laughing just like Horaxon did, those moments were staged.

Ayeka stared at Kiri, then prepared to gather her magics, magics not governed by any God...the Magics that came natural to her, her mind calmed, and her very being filled with more power than she remembered possible. Btw, there is only one from the Valley that is still alive and neither Kiri nor Zimen know about him. So Zimen was bluffing when he said he could get the information from someone else.))

Kiri-koli stood in a shadow of darkness, her startling green eyes glittering out from the black with all the hatred that is possible for a mortal to possess. Here they were, those who had destroyed everything she had ever loved, destroyed a peaceful way of life without thinking twice...so many innocents... her parents, her brother...Her fist clenched at her side and a tremble of rage ran up her lithe body.

Here they were, about to kill again.

Her mind raced as if along two parallel tracks. One wished to simple reach out with all the anger she had, to strike them down as the insignificant wastes of flesh that they were. To tear and ripe till their bodies ran red, their beating hearts layed out in the open to the wrath of nature...for such unnatural things should and would be destroyed...

But the other realized that to do so was to let her friends die. This part calmed her as much as it could...there was a flaw...evil always had a flaw, all she had to do was find it...

She looked at Zimen through blurred vision. She could see it, the aura of the Queen of Darkness, surrounding him, feeding his vile ambitions. But she could also see the power of the Stone...it was so close, yet hidden behind the wall of her own limitations, a curtain of red...violet contours struggling to break free...

She stepped forward, her emerald eyes blazing with green fire. There was no mistaking the anger there, it changed her till her friends could hardly believe this was the woman they have once laughed with...even Zimen, secure from fear in his insanity, knew there was to be no underestimating this one...

She spoke, every syllable thick with underlying threat. "You will let them go. You have to."

Zimen laughed and Kiri locked eyes with him. The evil being could not look away. "If you have not entirely lost your mind, you will realize that the Stone does not cater to those who are evil...it only responds to the Balance, which is why you were forced to destroy the first one, isn't it?

But that's not good enough. Destruction is limited...you want infinate power. And I can give it to you. There are no others. You know it, I know it. You need me or you fail. And I've heard that the Dark Queen doesn't respond to failure very well..."

She saw a flicker of doubt and pounced on it. "We will go into the cave, you and I. We will confront the Stone and find the source of its power. A source is not bound by rules...

You will release my friends. Seal the cave after us, I don't care. But you will release them or I will not cooperate." She stepped even closer to Zimen and the air seemed to darken. "Kill them, harm them in any way and you will not live through my fury."

Zimen chuckled, "Horaxon, would you?"

"As good as done master, as good as done." He said.

Horaxon locked eyes, and the same binding that held the vampire locked onto Kiri, with one difference. There were six seperate binding cut from the first, all the same strength though. One covering her mouth, one on her neck, one on each limb, pulling her to the point of dislocating every bone, but not quite doing so.

"You think My Majesty? The Great Dragon of all colors and of none, would not know your secrets? Ha, I just need one good sacrafice. Of one of the last remaining Silver robes, and I am done. Power is power, it can be swayed, thus the balance has proven over time. The balance swayed for the Kingpriest of Istar and a mountain was thrown, by his god!"

She, the mighty seductress, has pawns, not friends. Though I am her King, I am the one capable of sending a fiery mountain on this world. To you I am the Cataclysm itself! Death be to any who oppose me, even you're loving Nemma, Horaxon!" Zimen said, getting a shocked look and a gasp.

"You said you'd let her live!" Horaxon said, throwing himself onto his master. "You lying conniving old bastard, I'll have your head on a pike!" Horaxon was in rage, but thrown halfway off of the mountain delalayed his revenge. as Zimen saw Kiri running up.

"Not now child, we can play later," Zimen said fadeing away into another land, "You know where I'll be." "I used a level 3 fire spell set to volcanic to cook the turkey, it took 10 second, it was only alive for the first 3" Black Mage, 8-bit theatre.

Ayeka gasped as the bounds dissapated. She spun on Horaxon, her hand closing on his throat. "You stupid fool!!" she hissed, her eyes shimmering. Their normal blue/violet color was overshadowed by a silver luminesance.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you now." she hissed, her fangs shone. Jenna and Billy snarled, circling them both. The two wolves' eyes shone brightly, as if lit from within, they too where looking at Horaxon.Oh, Moons of Mercy, Moons of Light

((OOC: Okay, hold up. This is not making much sense to me at all.

"You think My Majesty? The Great Dragon of all colors and of none, would not know your secrets? Ha, I just need one good sacrafice. Of one of the last remaining Silver robes, and I am done.

This makes no sense. If the Dark Queen knew the secret of the Stones a) she wouldn't need Zimen to use them. b) You already said you needed the information.

What's with the sacrifice thing? Where did that come from and how does it work?

She, the mighty seductress, has pawns, not friends. Though I am her King, I am the one capable of sending a fiery mountain on this world.

Is it just me or is this one big contridiction? Or is Zimen just that insane?

Not now child, we can play later," Zimen said fadeing away into another land, "You know where I'll be."

...the Stone is in the cave. And no, I don't know where you'll be.

Anyways, I posted this here because you, Sly, are not online and I wanted to forstall everything (in case more people were inclined to post, ha ha) till we straighten this out. Please don't be insulted, I'm half asleep and this just isn't making any sense to me. Probably part of some elaborate thing that I completely missed.

Wouldn't be the first time.

((OOC: Alrighty then umm... To answer the first one. The queen knows how to use it and her way involves a silver robe sacraficed on the stone to corrupt it with the blood of its followers. We okay there? oh and the information, he's bluffing and he needed to know that she could use the stone, onof the prerequisits of the whole 'sacrafice' thing.

Part 2, he is a bit overzealous, but she has pawns, and if this were a chessboard (the comparison Raistlin made telling her it was her move in Test of the Twins, I thought that put a nice touch, He is the most valuable piece, with the power, (soon he hopes) to purge the world into darkness.

Part 3, What place did he destroy? I thought it fitting for the Final Confrontation to be there. Don't you?

That's all kiddies, well hope that clears it all up, I thought my little hints were a bit too blunt... but okie! See you all later!

Horaxon's neck was gripped tightly he managed a smile, "Ayeka, I'm a broken man. I have nothing to live for, I'd welcome you ending my life here and now, but it wouldn't do you any bit of good!" Horaxon went from sarcasm to rage.

"My death wouldn't help anyone, I am the only one who knows Zimen, and who knows his battle tactics. I am the only friend other than his queen, that he ever had! My point is my life is meaningless unless I can make sure that 2 things happen. The first being my 'masters' death, the second being the continued life of Nemma, alright? When that's done, feel free, but until then, I suggest you let go, I've had a really bad day!" he yelled, trying to stay serious at a moment where sanity was in short supply.

"Just try and let the human side in you realize why I'm here, and that I'm not meant to die yet." Horaxon said, weakly, nearly sobbing. Ayeka flinched at Horaxon's words, The silver sheen fled from her Blue-Violet eyes. She bit down on her lip, allowing the sudden pain and Taste of her own blood to force her mind to reality.

Without mercy, she dropped him, turning away. She proceeded to ignore him as she turned to Kiri. "are you alright?" she asked, shame showing clear on her face...in her eyes.Oh, Moons of Mercy, Moons of Light

Kiri-koli didn't notice the pain in her friend's eyes, the shame in her voice. Her calm had evaporated and the words "Are you alright?" struck her as a a blow to the head.

"Am I alright?" she raved suddenly. "No! Why would I be?! That thing killed everyone!! And now he dares to go back!! That he should set foot back there..."

Letting out a scream, the mage vented her anger on the first thing she saw. A tall oak tree disintegrated in a flash of green and red, leaving nothing but a smoking hole in the ground.

Blinking, Kiri surveyed what she had just done with a twinge of disbelief. "What am I going to do?" she whispered then, her eyes wide with hopelessness. "I have to go to him and yet if I do, I risk everything. If I don't, I become hunted and have no peace..."

She turned towards the enterance to the cave. It was dark as ever and even more forebrooding. She just stood and stared at it, unable to move forward, unable to turn away."You know, Bob, it’s not that I’m lazy…it’s that I just don’t care." –Peter Gibbins: Office Space

((OOC: Okay, forgive me but I had to))

A man tumbled out of the cave, tired and sweaty, he had obviously slept there after running from something. Coughing he looked at Kiri, who looked away as he followed her, "Do I know you?" He said, his platinum blonde hair neatly spiked and his armor more decorative than effective, his pure white-bladed sword shining on his back.

"Infact, I'm sure I do... I'm... wow, I can't remember. I remember running from a rock troll last night, and it lifting its club, as I was cornered.. but then... Well, anyway, I recognize you at least." (Paedon) said.

Horaxon groaned, the pretty boy was back. "You old fool." He said, looking at the Dreamknight.( (C) By me, mwahahaha) "Can't even remember yourself? It's a pity, remember anything about ancient history?"

Paedon extended his hand, "Why yes I'm... you sly little devil Horaxon, I remember now! Damn. I must have been hit pretty hard! How's your brother?"

"Dead, but it happens, how's Uncle Wells?" Horaxon said.

"Kicking and dfighting off old age with the best of them, your mother?" Paedon asked.

"Dead, but that was long ago, still miss her cooking," Horaxon said

"Yeah, she could cook up a tornado...." Paedon said remembering the meals."I used a level 3 fire spell set to volcanic to cook the turkey, it took 10 second, it was only alive for the first 3" Black Mage, 8-bit theatre.
