> Era of Revenge: File # 345C3 "Finishing the Fight" (OOC/Recruitment)
07/19/2007 1:22 PM
Alright Gears, today we take the fight to them! We've been beaten, destroyed, and sent into hiding. Today, we return the fucking favor!
Name: (First Nickname Last)
Age: (Between 18 and 35 please)
Arch type: (Sniper, Assault, Medic, HWS [Heavy Weapons Specialists])

YES! First sheet! Ha I win!
Name: Rei "DK" Kazuya
Appearance: DK is not your standard COG operative. He prefers a light carbon-steel "battle shell" (think the telescoping armor from Lost In Space) to the standard outfit. On a rare occasion one might see a lithe asian teen under that armor, his shaggy hair dyed in splotches of primary and secondary colors. DK is definitely not the type to strike fear with his appearance, he seems more like a helpless kid than a killer...
Archetype: (i assume that's what you meant to say) Stealth recon and CQB
Former squad: unknown
Weapons: Lancer & torque bow
Bio/history: DK is a mystery. No one seems to know where he came from, he just sortof...appeared one day in a makeshift uniform. Dk appears as no more than a child, but has proven himself with 30 confirmed close quarters kills in previous engagements. Dispite his appearance, his slight stature makes him nearly unstoppable with the chainsaw batonet of his lancer and he is reputed to be infinitely cruel, ruthless, and a tad anti-social...DK rarely ever speaks, preferring to use signals so as to maintain a kind of permanent stealth element.
Let me know if I need to change anything. :)

Name: Larson 'The Iceman' Frost
Gender: Male Caucasian
Appearance: The armor that Lance wears most closely resembles Baird's, with little restriction on his joints so that he is able to move more freely. He has ice blue eyes, which compliment his silver hair, although the only hair he his is his goatee since his head is shaved. From the bottom of his left cheek to a point a little above his left eyebrow there is a scar that appears to have been made by a knife, a knife that narrowly missed his eye. His weapon of choice, the Longshot, is normally situated at his back unless drawn, with the trigger upwards and butt at his right shoulder. The Snub is holstered at his left side with the butt facing forward. In his left boot he keeps concealed a combat knife, as a last resort. At his right side and extended partly to his back he has a satchel where he keeps his extra ammo for the Longshot and a few extra magazines for his Snub, as well as a few tools for cleaning, adjusting, and if need be repairing his rifle...
Former Squad: Before taking on this mission, Lance was part of an elite squad known as Omega Squad. They specialized in assassination and infiltration, with the majority of their missions having high risk objectives deep within Locust controlled territory. Within this squad, Lance was the sniper as well as the reconnaissance go-to man, proving an invaluable asset in both fields many times over. In addition to this, it is not unheard of for Lance to be sent out on solo missions, as Lance is a sort of lone wolf in many respects, and the COG knows this. Lance has been known to lay perfectly still for days in order to bag his target, proving his patience to be amazing, and leaving him no real partner to work with...
Weapons: Longshot Sniper Rifle, Snub Pistol, Combat Knife, two Bola Grenades, and two Smoke Grenades
Brief History: Lance has been with the COG for over fifteen years, joined at the age of seventeen two years before Emergence Day. His keen eye and crack shot put him at the top of his class, and no one but his war game opponents ever complained about his knack for camouflage and stealth. His combat career, however, started many years before that at the age of six, consisting of lessons from his father, a retired sniper from before the COG was formed, and many hours spent shooting away at old targets...
In the COG Lance was able to complete one tour of duty, and went missing during his second tour. No one truly knows what happened to him for the three months after he and his team disappeared, only that he was the only one to ever make it back, rifle at his back, cog tags in his hand, and a scar on his face that would forever remind him of what had happened. The COG probably would have spent more time coaxing the secrets out of him had the Locust not recently made themselves known, and it was for that reason that they didn't think twice about sending Lance right back into the fray once he volunteered...
Since then he has seen more than his fair share of war, and what some would say was too much of the tragedies that can spawn from it. He has completed more tours than he cares to remember, and retrieved enough cog tags to last an eternity. As a result of this, Lance rarely speaks unless of the utmost importance, and he has a very serious personality. At the same time he is somewhat well known within the COG for his uncanny marksmanship and unwavering focus and determination. That, combined with his nature, has earned him the nickname Iceman...
The fame isn't for him, however, and for reasons unknown to anyone but Lance he has turned down several promotions that would take him off the front lines. The only place he is able to find solace now is through the scope of his rifle, cutting down the Locust Horde one head at a time, so when the opportunity of the mission at hand came around, he was more than happy to oblige...
Alrighty, there's Lance again. I had to make some modifications, but all in all he's here and he's better than ever. Sorry if the Former Squad section wasn't up to par, I'm kinda sick right now and I'll be going back over it when I am more myself...
Anyways, I can't wait to get started, I think this is going to be very fun...

Right, I'll start up the thread sometime tonight.

Name: Kit "Scoot" Liper
Appearance: Scoot is short for a COG, only above 4 foot 7 but jacked none the less. Countless scars, and dim eyes show years of hardship that span before the war even began. With black hair and tanned skin, she doesn't quite have looks that could kill, but that doesn't mean she couldn't slice your throat in an instance.
Bio: Scoot likes to talk about her past, sometimes a little too much for others liking. Scoot didn't wantto be a COG, never dreamed of being one, was never told "Girl when you grow up your going to make this family proud and join the armed forces." Nope Scoot grew up on the wrong side of town, and with the wrong kind of mental condition. Prone to blackouts and slight Schizophrenia, she was once known to flay human beings alive. The habit became noticable, and eventually ended her up in a maximum security prison where she was more than willing to show anybody, man or woman, that she would make them her bitch.
Life was good, in prison she could get away with beating inmates, and no one particularly noticed unless she went a little overboard. And that's where she earned the nick name Scoot, because nobody could run into a fight faster than Scoot. When the war broke out, no one seemed to care who got loose or who got killed as long as who you were shooting were Locust. So being in the wrong place at the wrong time during a heated battle between COG's and Locust she was drafted and kept on as an unwavering soldier.
Now with an outlet for her agression she became less dangerous to those around her and a walking tank more than ready to take a few bullets. Which, sometimes, was to the dismay of the medic.
Weapons: Lancer, oh she loves her Lancer, and is occasionaly fond of the Torque Bow, but nothing beats that beautiful Lancer. Ok ok, a few Bola Grenades never hurt anyone either, oh but her Lancer....
Specialties: Berserker. Fight calls, she's there. And she will kick your butt or die trying.

Alright guys I have to say we have some PRETTY fucked up COG on in our platoon...
AND HELL DO I LIKE IT!
I can't -wait- to see what these mentally-disturbed-warped-soldiers have in store for the Locust horde. So let's get ready to KICK some ass!
07/27/2007 9:33 PM
Wow, I guess I'm really on a role tonight. That first thing more or less wrote itself, and after it was done it let me take back control of my hands, but I liked it so I left it. I hope that's okay with you Azrican, I hope it doesn't take away from your picture of the scene as far as GM goes. If so, tell me and I can remove it if I have to...
07/28/2007 11:32 PM
Hey guys, sorry about the no-show, AZRICAN, can you post for DK for a few days man?
07/29/2007 1:39 PM
Right! Can do.
08/07/2007 1:52 AM
For the record, I'm still here. I'm just waiting, eagerly waiting, for Verbalscrapper or DK to post. I'm not mad, I know the real world comes before this, I'm just really looking forward to carrying this one through...
08/15/2007 7:08 AM
Uh... Where did everyone go?
08/31/2007 8:34 PM
Sorry, I haven't been on for a few due to a computer failure. Though that doesn't excuse it. I'm also wondering where everyone went.
