As Nanuk would say "I cannot strees enough how new threads go up in the Interest Query first to see if anyone is interested"

You're a teef, an outright teef- but a correct one.

It's pretty standard, Kurtz, for threads to go up in the interest section first so that people are aware of what you're doing, and can ask questions- which is a great way of trouble shooting before starting.
And especially in your case, as it's your first time to run a thread and you asked for help, it would be useful because more people would see it and could offer suggestions.

I would lean away from encouraging people to play established characters (like Vrook, as you mentioned) as it can lead to laziness and a lack of imagination-use - and also means you're quite limited by the existing traits of a character. Cameos of known canon characters are fine, but as a DM you should be trying to encourage your players to be creative, and to come up with their own material rather than 'borrow' others'.

Thanks everyone that helped me like i said its my first so I welcome the help so now unless there is any objection I'll being doing my post and again cheers for the help.

Yeah, when did Nanuk become the thread police?

06/22/2007 4:17 PM

Probably around the same time you became a twat.

He asked for advice.

And don't come over the anarchist- you've also pointed out to people that they should post in the interest section first.

06/22/2007 4:41 PM

Once or twice. You do it every time. Have fun with the PMS bitch. And I don't recall him asking for the adice. Wedgie came and took care of it and you decided to stick your ass into it without needing too.

Ok one thing I absolutely not stand for is rudeness to women, Read the first part of his IC section, he does ask for feedback/advice. Nanuk has as much right to correct him as you do, there is really no need to get mad about it.

06/22/2007 5:09 PM

Don't you jump on my case too noobcakes. Telling him that his thread should be posted in the interest forum isn't the kind of advice he was probably asking for. He was most likely asking for advice on his idea. I have every damn right to be rude to her when she started it. Telling him about the interest forum isn't what I'm mad about. She insulted me and you probably don't know that twat is an insult. So for one final time, shut your mother F'ing trap. And for one final time, keep your shit out of things you think you understand but have no clue about. I'm not having a repeat of Iorlas' thread where all of you get on my ass because of one little thing.

06/22/2007 5:19 PM

seriously Rath, Whats your problem? There was no need to jump into this friendly conversation. Do you GO looking for trouble?

06/22/2007 5:21 PM

Not you too Wedgie! Is everbody jumping on the asshole bandwagon? You idiots can babble about yourselves, I'm not dignifying you with a response. Toolboxes.

06/23/2007 2:13 AM

Sorry for the interruption to your thread, Kurtz- just ignore the last few posts and continue with your thread.

06/23/2007 12:27 PM

Yep all characters are excepted and don't waste my thread space if you want to argue just make and thread called "argue with me please before i go crazy from being lonely" and Nanuk became thread police when she felt like helping people ok and keep the swearing to minimum. Nanuk apologize to Rath for calling him a Twat he was only asking a question and Rath apologize to Nanuk for insulting her back just say why did you call me a twat? easy as that now kiss and make up and be friends.
