Rules:
No God Modding.
No playing other people.
Cursing, and swearing is alright unless overly used.
Please write at least five paragraphs, but that isn't required.
Have fun, there is a lot to work with and the plot is open to everyone to create, you can focus on the plague even the battles, or whatever you'd like. I'm mostly going to be focusing on zip's personal problems and if I bring in the vampire, their relationship.

Setting:

There is a map here(http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a27/zipcat/Map.jpg) for a visual.

Towns;
1. Freasequ (The plague starting to spread here, killing many, population 2,000)
2. Orchez (Main trade is farming, but keeps getting attacked by Vauljer, population 4,000)
3. Vauljer (A rebel town, population 5,000)
4. Guarde (Capital, full of rich people, the royal family is here, population 10,000
5. Drazil (A town supported by mining, population 1,500)
6. Pravize (A town that lives on fishing, population 4,600)
7. Kreque (Population 1,500)
8. Zesflu (Population 1,000)
9. Port Taj (Relies on great fishing and trade, population 2,000)

Mostly, you may be creative with this, but the time is set back in the eight hundreds to fifteen hundreds or so. Most every town has an inn, tavern, church, and many other common things you'd find in a town. You can make up any other place off of the map and claim to come from there, just make sure if you state that you're neutral, for, or against the leaders of Guarde. This is just to get the idea of things, so it's not strict.

Just a bit about the history:
zip has come to this new land through a portal, set to explore, look for a new trainer, or just discover. Her "acquaintance" is a vampire that has been stalking her like pray and hopes to feed on her. zip is unaware of the plague and laws in this land, as any newcomer is.

The rest about zip can be found here (http://www.geocities.com/ziptitanmember/index.html), on her character sheet, information about her unique race can be found in her basic info.

Please post your character's appearance, a bit of history of how you came to the land and about yourself (unless you plan to work it into your posts, as I am mostly), weapons and armor, skills, a bit about your personality, and any extras or essentials you may think of.

((Edits: Darn those --s and " looking like s, and ...s looking like &'s. They should all be fixed now.)

Blythe

Name: Blythe
Basic information and Appearance: Before you stands a young male, who appears to be around twelve but in truth is four hundred and thirty. He's dressed in a black kjortel with golden and green embroidery on the trimming. Under that his black and rather baggy pants end at his boots which are kept well. Out of sight, there is a dagger in his left boot. He holds grace from the learned self control over his long years of life. His paled skin is made to look even lighter by his dark hair and eyes, in which the pupils are lost in the dark of his iris. He can pass for a rich kid that tries to keep to himself and his calm expressions warns others not to come close, even his smiles may be for show for he is very devious.

Background: His old master locked him in a cave after going mad. Recently the death of his master had freed him, and he woke to find a girl living in a cavern nearby. Her blood being like no others, he has been stalking her and becoming her friend while he follows her journeys in search of her home land. For now, he starts at a tavern in Pravize. With the plot, he will do mostly anything he finds rational if it gets him the blood of zip.

(I will be creating a site for Blythe some time soon for ease.)

Yay, I had time to post. I'm sorry it took so long, and if anyone does join; I'll still have trouble posting for a couple more weeks.

I see, however, that there are still a lot of box error thingies... those things are so jejune. I'll fix them when I can.

I figure this looks like a fun rp to join in, ok, so Zipcat sent me :P Titan has some good rp'ers and I do my best to not pass up a good rp :D

CHARACTER SHEET

A. Common Name

Feng (said as "Fang"), But responds equally well to "Shumpy" when it is from a familiar voice.

B. Full Title and Rank

No title or rank given or earned.

C. Race

Half-Orc

D. Magical Alignment

Earth

E. Military Division/Rank

Civilian

F. Character Overview

Feng appears slightly dense, but generally happy. He has about average intelligence, but you would be hard pressed to determine that from looking at him. He doesn't always understand things instantly, but when given a moment he can think most anything through. This plays out in his actions when he stops suddenly in the middle of a street to take the time to comprehend something before him he has never seen before, or a change in posture when he is so focused on something that he doesn't have the ability to consider the orientation of his body.

G. Ability

Feng has been a fighter on sailing vessels his entire life. He is literally completely dedicated to his great swords and is all but helpless in weapons combat without them. With his great sword (using only one at a time, though he always carries two) he is an extremely adept fighter. Feng does love a good bar brawl among friends however, and can hold his own against larger fighters with his fists alone. Due to extreme dedication to his great sword techniques, he is capable of unheard of feats of strength or agility with his sword when it is needed.

Having been a sailor for most of his life, he does know of some unusual technology from other lands, but has no clue how to use any of it. He has yet to find a proper use for most of his skills that he honed on the ocean, but can repair his own weapons and armor out of necessity. He was also the ships carpenter and has been able to make a decent living out of that skill on land.

H. Physiology

Feng is slightly above an average height, about 6 foot 6 inches tall, and approximately 325 pounds, to all accounts not an inch of fat, but nothing noteworthy for definition either. His skin is slightly brown in pigment as a well kept tan darkens his complexion further. Not much of his skin shows however as he always wears his full plate mail, shined to a mirror finish and wrapped in the highest quality leather he can obtain. His lack of a helmet shows a slightly neanderthal appearance with a sloped brow and jutting chin, with large brown eyes being the main source of expression. To remove his armor would show dozens of battle scars across his arms, chest, legs, and a few scars on his neck and back.

I. History

Feng grew up as a sailor, his whole life he has been at sea, and working with as many crews as he could until he found one he couldn't bear to leave. The crew felt an instant kinship with him, and spent all of their free time training with him and teaching him the skills he still hones to this day.

After many years and hundreds of battles, the crew decided as a whole to retire and live a peaceful life on land when a scare involving a lich plague taught them all what they really meant to each other. The crew still keeps in touch, but found their own ideas of happiness away from the sea. Feng still hungers for adventure and travels to chase his dreams. He has come to Titan lands after hearing the stories of great adventure from people all across the lands.

J. Mannerisms

The wheel that grinds the slowest also grinds exceedingly fine. Though he may take his time working on difficult problems and seems to get lost in thought quite easily, Feng does have an average intelligence. You wouldn't know it to watch him think about something though.

Feng generally acts according to his mood, and his mood is mostly happy, he has a spring in his step and is happy to meet anyone. Beware however, when he sees a full blood Orc he goes into a furious charge, as he has a deep seeded hatred for the creatures based on past encounters he refuses to talk about.

K. Properties of Choice

Feng's most prize possessions are his full plate mail and two great swords made by his own hands, polished to a complete mirror finish with every detail painstakingly cared for. The number of repairs to his weapons and armor over the years have actually served to temper the steel into a far stronger alloy of various metals used in repairs when steel is not available and the only way to acquire material is to barter in the various lands of Feng's travels.

Though he never uses it, he also carries a shield on his back, over the great swords, as an odd sort of comfort known only to him, it's assumed he uses it when sleeping to keep his armor from getting dented on rocky ground.

Feng is also known to carry a vial of 'Wah wah' sauce, a food additive made by a combination of the most powerful fire clerics and mages, it is so hot that even a god would only be able to carry on a hoarse voice the sound "WAH! WAH!" in an urgent attempt to ask for water or any substance to lessen the intense heat, but strangely enough, never leaves a chemical burn or any permanent damage thanks to careful spell choices and enchantments to protect the user. Feng's personal favorite food is anything with 'wah wah' sauce on it, and oddly, he never seems to run out of the stuff...

L. Sociology

First encounters always lead to snap decisions to determine friend or foe, but unless any hostility is detected most people are considered friends.

The only people that Feng absolutely hates and seemingly drips with palpable malice at under any circumstance are pure blood Orcs. He will drop whatever he is doing and go completely berserk should he see a pure blood Orc and do everything in his ability to kill them and desecrate the corpse if enough of it is left to do so. Being the only sore point of his past, he refuses to disclose the reason why to anyone and becomes quite angry at the subject being brought up.

Achilles

I like what Feng did with his character, so im gonna introduce my character like that too.

CHARACTER SHEET

A. Common Name

Achilles Avorilius. (Av-or-real-e-us)

B. Full Title and Rank

Thief.

C. Race

Elf

D. Magical Alignment

Earth

E. Military Division/Rank

Civilian

F. Character Overview

Achilles is 23 in elvish years, but 87 in human. He has long retired from the Elvish army of Elsinvally, ( A country mostly inhabited by Elves and Humans.) He once was a strong willed, and loyal archer the "kings Second Archery Defence". His natural Ability to sneak around unnoticed led him to a career as a Scout for his King. Now, he lives a life as a Thief, Fighting for only himself, or anyone who pays him. His life is general exciting, and fastpaced, and his mood is mildly happy. His life style demands intellagence and wits, which he has worked on for most of his life after the army. He can spot a scam, theft, or drug deal a mile away, since he is mostly around them all the time. He has lost the lust for killing, and sticks to stealth and defence while hes on a job, and rarely kills anything.

G. Ability

With his bloodline filled purly of elves, his true nature is to be silent, agile, and sneaky. Even when he downt intend to, he finds hiself walking lightly on hard floors. Years of training and experiance has led him to be an outstanding archer, which he uses now only as a way of distracting his enemys. He carries only essentials with im, a small, studed club(which he uses to knockout his enemys.) a small recurve bow, (with both non lethal and lethal arrows in his quiver), a smoke stained dagger, and a few flash bombs which he custom makes, and a set of lock picks.

With his job, Achilles needs to be quick, witty, intellagent, and have a great personality. His intellagence helps him understand, map, and pick most locks he comes across, making any job easy once he gets into his mark. His personality makes getting out of a situatiuon with guards, civilians, traders, and general people easy to talk to.

H. Physiology

Achilles is tall, about 6'4". His hair is long and blond, almost white. Being a thief means stealing at night, and sleeping during the day,. so his skin has become pale. His body, is slender and athletic, he excersises everyday, but makes sure not to become too muscular, as muscels impare his limberness. He usualy wears clothing that is dark. He wears soft sole shoes, which are quieter and easier to move in. but he wears a metallic, and tarneshed green locket on his neck, which he rarely opens. His face hosts a wide jaw, small mouth, squinting eyes, and a perfect profile. His looks seem to help him in situatiuons with women, though he rarly uses it to his advantage.

I. History

Achilles grew up his whole life believeing he had to join the army and fight for his country. People urged him to become better in school and fitness, which later helped him in life as a thief. He joined the army in his 65th elvish year( 17th in human), and became an expert marksmen and hunter. The king later became "friends" with him, and gave him a job as a scout One day he was on a scouting mission searching for invading armies seen in the area. He was caught and torcherd for many months. He thought his king and friend was going to help him, but he never did. He finally broke free, and returned to his home, when he confronted the king about him not searching for him, the king acted as he didnt know who Achilles was, and banished him for his country.

J. Mannerisms

"What do you want to be, the person who walks at night and is frightend of the prediters? Or the person whom becomes the night, and frightens the prediters?"

Achilles father once told him this after he came running home from his water duties late at night. He had seen a beast staring at him from the shadows of a bush and became frightend. This one question created a code for Achilles, "To be the Hunter, or the Hunted", which he chants all the time. He always seems to be thinking, either of his job, or something else no one can figure out, for Achilles does nothing but steal.

L. Sociology

Achilles dosent socilize unless he nothing to do, in his spare time, he walks around the city he has taken as home for the year, or untill hes wanted. He dosent take aliegence to anyone but himself. And is always looking for a job, but he dosent do it for the money, the only thing he lives for is the rush of stealing and sneaking, nothing beats it in his eyes, and nothing will.

K. Properties of Choice

Achilles dosent thrive on material possessions, but rather on wht he already has. His locket, is the only thing he will never take off, and even if it was taken away from him, no one will stand in his way. Achillies mainly uses whats best for the job.

Wow Achilles, that is an awesome sheet. That reminds me to work on mine too... so I'll post here after I update it incase anyone wants the fresh news.

If you're waiting for acceptance -- which is something I'm not used to, people just join where I'm from -- then you got it, doubled even, play with us! :P

Achilles
07/26/2006 6:30 PM

Thanks alot, ill start my charcter slowly. He'll come in with a story of him first laying eyes on Guarde and its majesty. But just to let you know, i do have a problem with spelling, so try to read around the slightly mis-spelled words.

The charecter sheet is used by titan for our roleplay charecters to have a quick refrence guide, it's always nice to see that people like the idea :)

I look foreward to roleplaying with you. As Zip said: "Play with us" *Feng's trademark goofy grin and head tilt go here*

zipcat
07/26/2006 10:47 PM

Lol, no worries about spelling, no matter how good I get at reading and writing, my skills there are still way behind.
I have to admit that I may not always reply quickly, I tend to be busy with so much stuff here in life. Soon, well before the RP is done though, I should have my own computer back and things out of the way so I can write more.

Feng, do you think that's the newest addition to the sheet? Could you email me the blank one's link if it is?

Feng
07/27/2006 6:26 PM

No problem, I have the new sheet direct from the leaderman himself, it won't come blank though, the fields are all filled with brief descriptions of what to make sure to include in each section. In shumpy's case it was a great help :P

Almost forgot, are we keeping turn order on this or is it post as post can? I'm up for either but figured it would be best to ask.

[Edited by Feng on Thursday, July 27, 2006 9:07 PM]

Blythe
07/27/2006 9:33 PM

Yep, that's what I ment by a blank, I'll save it somewhere somehow. I know my sheet is like super old.
I'm not sure if it should be turns or what... but it would be best. Seeing as they're extra big rather than the short ones most post-when-you-want things have, I'm guessing it's turns.

zipcat
07/28/2006 2:47 PM

Oh, I'd just like to say that people can join any time. I know that all of that writing can be pretty intimidating... but chances are that this RP will be open for quite some time. So, even if there is a hundred pages, if you can read it all, can make a character, and have fun, then you're welcome to.

Blissful_Abyss15, it is really nice to have you to play with and all, but from the IM you sent me asking to join as a vampire I'm assuming that you're playing as one. Please, post your BIO here. I'm not trying to discourage you from playing... but there were a few things wrong with your post.

The time was just after sun set when this RP started, and since then only a few hours have passed. In your post, it started just before sun set and then three hours passed, still being dark. I'm trying to keep the control of time with the main character, which is zip, so please don't mention time changes. You could do all you have done, and assume that the time has passed, and skip your next turn so that those three hours will pass, or you could just do all you have. It doesn't have to take that long.

A fan of mine has been reading this RP as well, and he is a specialist in Vampyrism and Demonology. He had the following to say:

[hr]
Excuse me in advance for the rather blunt attitude about the Vampyric (I spell it with a "y" because it is the proper, Old English way of doing so) race, but as a specialist in Demonology and Vampyrism, I feel as if it is my duty to point out a few things. First off...Vampyres cannot walk in daylight, with the exception of daywalkers who in turn cannot walk at night (because they're resting in their coffin).

Second, Vampyres are not "born" into a family like other races. Vampyres are undead, and therefore infertile. In order to become a Vampyre, one would have to be bitten, not treat the disease in 3 day's time, and then be converted. Even then, they do not get access to the Vampyric powers until they fully embrace the curse.

Third, there are Vampyric clans that one can belong to (they can only belong to one, and the others are semi-hostile to all members of the other clans). I won't bother mentioning them all, but the one I feel as if I should mention are the Nosferatu. The Nosferatu are the only Vampyre's that can tread upon hollowed grounds and live. In fact, the Nosferatu clan makes their bases in abandoned chapels, churches, and temples. Any other Vampyre would immediately burst into flames from the holy presence of whatever deity that church is dedicated to.

Fourth, Vampyres do not refer to themselves as "Vampyres" or "Vampires", but they call themselves the Kindred.

Finally, if you ever need any advice about Vampyres, demons, or whatnot, feel free to contact me @ zukazamamee@yahoo.com

Many apologies about the bluntness.
[hr]

Also... there are no trucks in this time, and no technology.

[Edited by zipcat on Sunday, August 20, 2006 7:46 PM]

That's better, and very cute too. Even though IC people won't know, I'll assume that Crow and her are freshly turned vampires, yes?

Hey - I'm really interested in this RP, but I'm not sure how to create my character... there's not much info about what the RP is about, the time period, the setting... are we just existing in this place, or what? Please let me know and I may jump in as well!

A direct quote from Zip's first post:

Please note the link to the map along with the era in the paragraph below the town listing. As stated, you can choose to make a town for the map and claim it as a place of origin, or travel here by some other means. Magic exists here and technology is pretty far behind.

The focus of this rp is charecter development, for Zip that means problems her charecter is having, along with her relationship with Blythe. Feng is pretty much here for the duration, as my lummox has no clue whats going on in the area and had no plans for when he showed up.

If you would like to join, please post a short description or biography of your charecter so that the other writers will have an idea of who their charecter is interacting with.
