Alright, please read all of this before posting.

You must have your character approved before posting in the RP. Yes you have free reign in this RP, so if you want to knock over a mini mart just relize that there are are consequences for your actions. Also, your characters are liable to die by a variety of means, if you start godmoding or if you fail to post after a while than your chacter will be killed. You all know the general rules anyway, but I just wanted it stated so you know for sure.


Basically the same as the world today. There is semi futuristic weaponry, though mainly in use by the worlds military instead of the public. The three main countries are the United States of America, Canada, and Russia. The three presidents of these countries govern the World Colaberation of Leaders, which is comparable to our UN. China is still communist though still acts in league with Russia, and though Russia has become democratic it still funds an underground Socialist society.

There are humans and than there are mutated humans. Mutated humans come about in one of three general ways: 1) Evolutionary mutation due to the X-gene, 2) By genetic tampering of science/ military, 3) By ancient mystical/ magical relics. The third manner is extremely rare, the second is not as rare but is not very common, and the first most common.

Because these mutants come about in manners that is not easily know, and sometimes unknown to most than there is some fear and hatred towards the mutants from 'normal' humans. The mutations of humans have diverse effects and so produce some powerful enhancements which those 'normals' are jealous of and fear for their use being set on them. But that is not how ALL 'normal' humans think, for there are those who work with mutants or have one as a family member if not lover. Then there too are those like Church officals who claim that 'mutants' are Humans as well and therefore deserve the same social status as anyother human, without hatred and fear. Also like some goverment officials who claim that since mutants are born on american soil that they are promised the same rights and protections of the constitution.


There are several groups that have differing agendas.

W.C.L- The World Colaberation of Leaders was formed to ensure global peace and prosperity. However it often times is used as another tool by one of its governing countries. It upholds a front of mutant acceptance though, this is more for political reasons than personal opinion.

R.S.S.A- Russian Socialist Society of Advancement was in place before the Russian goverment changed to a democracy. It is still funded by the Russian goverment and works with the Chinese goverment. It is a terrorist black market organization that acts as if it were still in the Cold War. Its main goals is the spread of Socialism and through such world power for its mother coutry Russia. They accept mutant and human alike for each can be utilized in its own way. The mutants however are more often than not used for genetic experiments and enhancements to find ways of making the average Russian more evolved.

K. of C.- The Knights of Christiandom has been around for along while and very few know of it. Alot of their practices are kept secret even from those who know of its existance. As a twist to common society Mutants seem to hold the higher ranks, while normal humans do the more common work. They view the mutant x-gene as a blessing from God and another way to bring forth and defend Gods kingdom on Earth.

F.F.- Freedom Fighters is an American based group that is assembled of mutants who hold to the belief that they hold constitutional rights as much as any other american. Also they believe in the advancement of democracy and often enage in conflict with the R.S.S.A. They have an array of members and often take part in world affairs.

C.A.- Canadian Agency is a military group of mutants that is sponsored by their goverment. Not that the Canadian goverment accepts mutant kind, but that they find that mutants could be put to good use with their unique abilities. They also practice scientific enhancements with mutants, but do not go as far to alter normal humans as the R.S.S.A. The CA is mainly used in undercover operations and is for the most part kept out of the main news stream.

The Weare Institute for Mutants- Formed by Davin Weare as a way to help young mutants adapt to their new powers, it has actually grown into a major player in the mutant/ human concern. Situated in Oregons vast territory, it is a quite haven hidden away from alot of society. It gives its students a place to find themselves amongst their own kind away from the pressures of more mainstream enviroments. It encourages the integration of mutants into human society and also encourages the acceptance of the mutant child with his/ her family.

Major Players:

Davin Weare- Founder of the Weare Institute of Mutants, he is a mutant himself. He holds a military history and was even a mayor of some Iowa town. He is an older man now of age 56, holding doctorates in various subjects. Davins mutant ability is that he can change any part of his body into any type of element. This aids him in teaching some young mutants to control some of their abilities.

President Micheal- The Russian President, and co govoner of the WCL. He is not too fond of mutants but realizes their valuability in his retinue. Holds secret allegance to the old Communist regime and is a member, sponsor, of the RSSA.

President Jaques- The Canadian President, and co govoner of the WCL. He is indifferent to mutants although he knows that they make his canadian military force what it is. Also the leader and director of the CA.

President James- The American President, and co govoner of the WCL. Secretly despises and pitys mutants although politically he is one of the main enforcers of their protection by the constitution. Is not even fond of the F.F. but uses them to save funding for other endeavors.

John Sanders aka FireBird- The mutant leader of the American F.F. He had learned the hard way in finding his way in the world. Still young at age 25 his mutant abilities did not come about until age 20 when he was in the marine corps. Do to his condition he was given a medical discharge and once gaining control of his powers he set forth and founded the F.F. Johns mutant ability is that to cause combustion, or rather create fire. He is famous for setting the sky ablze and having flames fly across the sky like birds.

He was fostered out when he was 12, and subsiquently moving from carer to carer, leaving a swathe of mental cases behinf him. This was becasue of the obvious fact that he was SUPERHUMANLY AGILE. He despises the government, and blames them for ruining his life. He is a rogue vigilante, Training over the years in various gangs and militias, taking out military and governmental figures in various countries. He currently resides deep under the iron curtain, in a town near the Russian president's private residences.

Mutant Powers: Clairvoyance, Water/ice maniupulation
((Application)): The Clairvoyancy is used to detect the actual happenings in a crime scene. Usually works best if she can handle any said object. Water/Ice manipulation can be used to condense and freeze the very moisture in the air, or to manipulate already present pools of water.

History: Abandoned and forced to live alone once she turned sixteen, Jordan worked dilligently to put herself through school, learning at a young age to control her power. Her parents shunned and turned her out, unable to cope with their only daughter being a mutant.

Explaining away her hair and fair skin as being an albino, and her eyes as a rare pigmentation problem that required contacts, she was easily accepted as an eccentric young woman.

Using her abilities secretly to pin criminals, She became a prominent member of the NYPD when she was 22 years old. Using her Clairvoyancy to find out what really happened, she was able to easily find the evidence that would prove her theories.

Usually called to solve one case after another, Jordan no longer has a permenant department that she works for. She has since specialized in solving mutant-related homicide cases, wether the said mutant was the victim or the cause.

[b]Tarott:[/b] I dont know metric units but thats no big deal. There are several things though that you do need to adjust. A "Tall, middle build, etc." is not a good physical description. I know your character towers over most people, add on white hair and pink eyes, is there any other thing which stands out about him? Does he have pale albino skin, does he always wear a trench coat, does he dress up in outrageous anime costumes when hes out in public? If so, its something to make note of, or else Im gonna be wondering where it came from if you pull something out of no where. So please expand upon 'etc.'

Also, your history...it doesnt make much sense. Taking out military and govermental figures would make him a terrorist, not a vigilante. Also, how is it he left behind mental cases after each care house, and how is it he is able to take on these military and govermental people? There is nothing stated that would denote any manner of income, or where he could have proficiently learned how to use a sword or demolitions.

The only restriction Ill place is that for some reason your clairvoyance only tells you some odd future action of your intended target...with concentration of course.

[b]Kalia_Majere:[/b] You seem to have taken a Witchblade type idea. I would like you to expand on your history. A young girl with such distinguishing marks, I find it hard to believe that she would have been able to get such a break so easily. Remember, most people arent fond of mutants...a story that shed tell people her hair was just bleached that way my fly. Probly why was she abandoned, does she have any goals besides solving crimes? You just have a few gaps there that I think should be filled to portray your characters character abit better.

Also for your clairvoyance, like you stated in your post, limited mainly by having to be in contact with some sort of object of the person or place.

It appears to me that I should have explained the Ability rating system alittle bit better. So far both Tarotts and Artics levels are a little to high. An average human is a (1) across the board, with training of an olympian level would be a (2), and base mutant enhancement would range from (3-4). Ill post a few sample sheets of the major players as well as some known mutants so you all can see some comparision.

History: Born to human parents, Garrison was disfigured by the x-gene from birth. His parents were horrified and gave him to a church-sponsored orphanage the night he was born. It was run by an anti-mutant pastor who would have liked nothing more than to rid himself of the beast. Deciding in the end that it was against God's will to destroy any creation, he settled on locking the child away in the basement. The nuns took to calling him Rupert.

He was kept there, considered an urban legend by the children, until the age of nineteen, by which time he was too powerful to be held against his will. The pastor in charge of the orphanage contacted the K. of C. to take him. When the official of the Knights saw the conditions Rupert was held under, he threatened to sanction the pastor.

A member of the Knights for four years, Rupert is still a novice, being given the education he should have had as a child. Because of his years in captivity, he's had difficulty adjusting to life surrounded by others. Though mutants are held in high regard in the Knights, he is usually among the humans, aiding in the more laborious menial tasks.

Some of the men have taken to calling him Garrison, in that they know if something befell their sect, he would be a great asset in protecting them.

If you need a little more info on the history, I'd be glad to expand. Conversely, if there are any problems, just let me know.

[b]Unbeliever-[/b] Approved. A gentle giant type, nice. To be honest I did not figure any would choose to be part of the KofC. Your history is fine because of how simple it is, you stated his interaction with humans and society and gave a small blue print of his personality through use of descriptive words.

[b]Tarott:[/b] 70 kg is the equivalent of 154 lbs...just thought you would like to know.

I am still waiting for the other two sheets to be changed. When there are at least two other approved characters than Ill start the game. I am quite interested in seeing how this will play out.

Reason for such is that I doubt your character is the mental equivalent to Xavier. You made no mention of having enhanced strength so I wont accept higher than (2). The same for your fighting skills because you stated nothing of having to fight. The speed, durability, and energy protection are basically the equivalent to what I have for Iceman, with whom your character is comparable to.

The main point of the rating system is to keep ones ability in perspective. Because your earlier stats were able to rival our friend who has super strength and such, it cant be allowed.

History: Ivan grew up in group home for special children. Then he was put in the Russian Army and quickly rose though the ranks until he was snatch up by the SPS (soviet paranormal studies) they tested him and he soon found out that his whole life was manipulated by them. He was study on making super soldiers. But he was soon put to work for the KGB, Other secret and black ops for the Soviet cause. Ivan was very indifferent to the people who order him around. It wasn't until he was ordered by the government to destroy the same Group home he grew up. He rebelled against them. Not know to the public he was one of the key moments when the Soviets lost control of the nation. After the cold war and the collapsed of the soviet block. He was bought and sold by many different countries. Now that more X-gene's are being born he finds its purpose in protect children who have special abilities. He was Joined the R.S.S.A. because he knew that he would much more familiar with the people. He uses weight as one of Russias top formal soldiers to protect children in the RSSA from being abused like cattle.

I think you missunderstand the meaning of both words. A TERRORist, operates only to cause TERROR. They kill people that are against thier cause. A vigilante, however, kills people because they beleive it is the right thing to do to help everyone. Also, a terrorist, in RPG terms, focuses on STRENGTH. A vigilante uses STRENGTH and STEALTH. An assasin uses STEALTH, but dosent kill for free. A manioac uses ALL MEANS NECESSARY to take down his/her. A maniac, however, is often not driven by self-direction (THE VOICES!). Anyway, I'm wandering. The daredevil is a vigilante, he kills bad guys. My character is a vigilante. He kills everyone with power. There isn't any difference. A terrorist would blow up a building. A vigilante would just kill the people that are against him...... That enough explanation?

Dont know about you but if some random dude was killing off what where my elected officals I would see him as inflicting terror onto a society. But I get your reasoning, he sees himself as a vigilante. Your abilites are fine, thank you. The only other issue, minor, is you state your training is from various gangs and militias but you have no assosiations. Just something for you to think upon. Besides that [b]Approved[/b]

Physical Appearance: Josh likes to dress smartly, but he has his trendy moments. Often found wearing suit trousers and an open shirt or top. A slim build, not terribly muscular but possessing a wiry strength. He has mid length dark blonde hair that falls passed his ears, styled and slightly wavy, mildly tanned skin giving him a healthy look and has brilliant green eyes which he considers his most attractive feature.

Associations: No associations held, save those he has within the scientific community

Josh's parents are both mutants themselves, so the chances of his own mutant ability emerging was something his parents had expected and were prepared for. His mother, Lisa, was a talented Telepath and used her abilities to help others, as easy feat as she was a psychologist. Nathan Slater, his father was a gardener, with a commendable affinity for plants, having the psionic mutant ability to manipulate vegetation, such as the growth and movement etc. Both parents were average, working class people, trying their best to fit in and remain un-noticed, something which rubbed off on Josh. Neither Lisa nor Nathan had a desire to be caught up in the various factions of mutant groups that existed, despite having been approached on several occasions.

There was no great traumatic event that triggered his powers, they merely developed on there own accord, starting with the minor movements of objects out with his own reach. At first, Josh was of course upset, hoping silently that the X-Gene would skip him. Both his parents were able to help him through it, so eventually he was able to come to terms with it, accept it and control his power so it would not go awry.

He attended high school, finding a flare in genetic studies and biology. An interest his parents found pleasing as it meant he could learn more about his genetic make-up and how being a mutant did not mean he was a freak. Josh hid his abilities from friends at school, not wanting them to judge and ridicule him as they had done so to other mutant kids they talked about. Whenever he practised, he did so at home where one of his parents would help him master his control.

From there he has led a normal (ish) life, attending university and graduating with a degree in bio science and currently he works for a scientific research lab, working on gene sequencing. Josh has no desire now to be 'normal'. He enjoys his mutation as it gives him a freedom and a security he never possessed before, now that he can control it, he does not fear walking down dark allys or through rough areas, learning to handle himself nicely. Although he has never pushed his powers to the limit, Josh has lifted objects as heavy as cars and small trucks with concentration and is still developing and training them.

[b]Dark Master:[/b] Approved. Also if you want Ill permit you to boost your intelligence rating to (4). Seeing as how you are a telepath born of telepaths basically. It would basically help you get that minimal effect in gene altering which you made mention of before.

Unbeliever I had not yet stated anything for the K of C....I have an idea for an opener just still trying to think how to write it out. But you can start in and Ill go off of your post so no need to wait.

These are your guys characters but they are set in a world like our own. That means that they have some sort of routine they go through with waking up, work, eating habits. And too like us they react to things which they come across in the news. That was why I stated those for the majority of your characters to have something to react too. Expect more specific encounters as the plot thickens.

Wonderful job. I think there will be enough posting to get everything in. And I like how you have handled the K of C, well played.

The only thing I never get is why everyone has stuff take place in the north eastern part of the US. Its just odd to me probly cause Im on the south western side of the states. So I warn now that some stuff Ill have to skip abit seeing as how its to take place in Arizona/ Nevada/ California area, but there is plenty of stuff that happens in the eastern region as well so I just have to make that change of focus on events.

I know the feeling about the northeast. I've always wondered about that myself. I just thought Boston sounded like a great place for the K. of C. No worries, though, about locale. I'm a northern California native and can engineer some reason for the character to be somewhere out there and know what I'm talking about. Same for the south, as that's where I just moved. I'd be pretty comfortable playing anywhere, though.

To be honest the only area of the world I havent thought of for story is Japan South America and South Africa. Im waiting to see where the others take this when they post.

[b]Sinfultictac:[/b] I dislike sounding harsh, but your writing is not good. Your grammar and punctuation is off, while your spelling leaves much to be desired. I told you when I approved your character that you would need to make sure to check your post before posting. It is ok to take your time in posting if you have to make sure to not spell every other word wrong. To me this is a main concern, especially when you state for us to delete your post because you want to be in this RP so badly. Leaving out key words which would make a sentence have a completely different meaning is a bit of a big deal. So I warn you now that if the quality of your posts have not improved by your next post than your character will be terminated.

Kalia, I was wondering what happened to you. Concidering that those in school are on break, and that everyone has holiday stuff to handle, Im not stressing on posting. Thank you though for showing your still involved.

If she touches a wound than it heals faster, if she touches plants than they grow faster...only while shes touching them. Just thought you should know...the name came from something I heard on the radio and it came to me, Jesus Christ...Jesse Crost. I found it amusing. The Eternal Skull is nothing for you to concern yourself with, its setup for a potential sequel storyline.

I am sorrry for my post I will run every post though word before I am done with it. Other RP sites let me get away with so much. That one of the reasons I came here. I need to improve my writing. So many techers say I have great ideas but I need to work on my writing to get them out.

History: Kirisana's mother was a genetic scientist for the R.S.S.A., she disappeared without a trace when her daughter was 2, after being accused for conducting human tests out of allowance. Until then, Kirisana grew up with her father, who was a respectful computer programmer, with a watchful eye from several groups that were afraid that her mother might have gone far enough to test one own's daughter.

They never gotten any evidence to prove the point, as Kira showed no signs of her extraordinary high intelligence at school with her below average grades and sleepy uninterested attitude. They was forced to give up.

When she was 8 her father was killed mysteriously, for hacking into the R.S.S.A. s database for top secret information on a research project, leaving Kirisana a small fortune, an adaptable laptop and a houseful of computer manuals. She was sent to stay with her ex-Marine mutant uncle.

Vengeful, ambitious(at interest) and attached to her father; Kirisana spent her time that most ordinary children played and slept secretly into studies, so that she would walk her father's footsteps. Soon she was known throughout the internet as a genius hacker by the name Kira at the age of 10 from accepting random jobs online.

Two years later, her uncle (John Sanders) became the mutant leader of the American F.F. Kirisana then had much of a life of running from groups opposed to her uncle. Her mutant abilities had became pronounced not only a while ago; when she accidentally absorbed the electricity from the power main of one of the F.F.'s base thus signed up to the Weare Institute by her uncle, who soon discovered about her high IQ and computer abilities from accepting random jobs online.

Obstinate that she would not part with John, she does not stay with the Institute as most others of the society, but can rather be found with Firebird or some other dismembers of the F.F. association.

[b]DarkRogue:[/b] Not a bad character, actually reminds me of a character from the New Mutant Academy X Comics, but Ill say its similar to Jubilee. For such I wont permit an intelligence rating that high even with your background. I suggest it be lowered to two (2). However since your character has the ability of manipulating Electricity than Ill have you raise your Energy Protection rating up to Five (5).

Also Im going to have to ask you to choose, its fine she is associated with each group, but she either stays at the Weare Institute or she stays with her uncle. Its not like the two are right next door to eachother, they are states apart.

Which reminds me, I've been rereading your info post, but it doesn't tell anything of where the F.F. are. I thought that they were a scattered association at first, but when you said this. I guess that there should be something like a main base somewhere in the U.S.A., right?
I was thinking of posting entry somewhere not far from John, but I dunno where he is, nor where the main F.F./s is/are...

[b]DarkRogue:[/b]LOL, well in the Info post I basically gave the facts which nearly everyone knows to give a feeling for the setting. The F.F. has a main base somewhere yes, I am just not partial to the whole revealing ones 'hideout' to the world thing. Ill be sending you a PM with some added information about the F.F. You still need to edit, clarify, the last paragraph of your character sheet. It says your in the institute but that your near your uncle. Read the PM Im sending you and then edit accordingly.

You had made no mention of any guards when you went into the presidency office the first time and now they appear from thin air. Ill only tolerate so much, but it does get under my skin when something new is introduced that was not there before and is not explained.

Well as Sinfultictac set up the President I should say is still in his office, alone. The Ice Rhino being taken out before he was able to re enter the presidents office. If you care to have the Russian president standing in his doorway watching said event or leaving the building after such as if his work for the day at the office was done feel free to do so. Since not much was mentioned of the presidents location after I had him in the office choose any of the above.

I am not sure what youre planning but if you want you could have the receptionist follow the people out when they ship off the Ice Rhino...or have her return to her desk.

Also, TicTac...you need to read abit more carefully...here are some examples from your last post. The problems are in bold italics.

Not only did you not care to use proper punctuation but also misused capitolization. To further the case, in several areas you are lacking linking verbs and pluralization. Do not tell me what youve been doing cause it hasnt been working.

Alright, I want to know if there remains interest in this RP. I understand its alittle slow to get started and Ive had alot of stuff posted, but it appears to me taht the interest which was once behind this topic has began to slack and decline.

I am leaving this week for my move, and I would like to know if this RP is to be scrapped or carried on. I already have it set up to continue on after I go, but for that to happen, the story still needs characters.

So please post here if you still hold interest.
