More about Dan and some RP advice!
My name is Dan, I'm from Scotland and I've been role playing (mostly D&D but some World of Darkness and Paranoia) for about 13 years, always with the same group of close friends (a few have come and gone but the core remains). With some of us moving to different countries recently we've switched to remote role playing using maptool and skype, which works suprisingly well. We have 2 campaigns on the go right now - the first is a serious one set in a land of our GMs devising centering around nobles, political intrigue, battles, etc. The other is a casual campaign set in the greyhawk city watch where we mostly do randomly rolled crimes and then have the players play both the cops and the criminals - it's really good fun :)
I've been married for 5 years and my wife (who got me into role playing) is about to have our first child! Things are about to change :)
I'm also the creator of Bone Shaker - an online/networked shared virtual dice table for role players - http://www.bone-shaker.com
How DannyBoy76 got into roleplaying:
Did quite a bit of RP type stuff when I was a child, then tried it out a bit at university - RP clubs etc. then got back into it when a friend of mine (now my wife!) asked me to join their group
Some helpful hints for new players getting into RPGs:
Learn the rules of the game you're going to be playing, don't argue with your GM and remember it's about having fun with other people :)

DannyBoy76 does not have any buddies to list. It must be the big "L" tattooed on DannyBoy76's forhead. Add this poor soul to your list, help him erase that big "L".
