How LadyDove got into roleplaying:
I started many many years ago on AOL chat rooms in my teens. I then started playing with friends in table top games.

Some helpful hints for new players getting into RPGs:
The best advice I have is to just jump in. Find someone who has been RPing for a while and ask lots of questions, learn from them and just jump in. Most old timers I know are willing to work with a newbie who really wants to learn the ropes.
