How Palthinon got into roleplaying:
In high school I picked up Iron Crown Enterprises: Middle Earth Role Playing. Me and a buddy spent months deciphering what was Rolemaster and the rest is history.

Some helpful hints for new players getting into RPGs:
Don't let a few initial bad experiences ruin your desire to game. Just keep looking, you will find a group or groups you just click with, and from that point forward you'll have more fun gaming then doing almost anything else.
