How mr_mouse got into roleplaying:
Through a cousin, she told me about D&D and got me hooked from there, another boyfriend (now husband) of another cousin got me playing restaraunt at the end of the universe as well, good times.

Some helpful hints for new players getting into RPGs:
Be yourself but a little different, your first time is kind of hard since you will be shy about saying odd things like "pass me my manslayer" or other such oddities, so to make it easier be something like yourself with a few small changes, may it be "I'm me but an Orc" or "I'm me as a super secret-agent" it doesn't matter. The best advice I can give though is this, have fun, it's no longer a game if you aren't having fun, and if it's no longer a game it's not worth playing.
