How DamienBlack got into roleplaying:
I started out in Yahoo! playing in the XMen RP rooms. Unfortunately, the chat started to die so I ended up looking for new chat rooms and boards. I found a board for the game StarFox that I was active in for a while before going into the military.

Some helpful hints for new players getting into RPGs:
When coming up with a character, even a "oneshot" as I like to call them, try to flesh them out as much as you can. Give them a past, it helps shape a personality and the way your character thinks.
