Get to be a player as often as I GM which is great. 2 evenings of gaming a week is interdispersed with more outdoorsy stuff. Kayaking and mountain waking fill the rest of my free time.

How Thornblack got into roleplaying:
Shadowrun 1st edition. A friend of a friend had GMed the game for a while and came round while we were doing something else. I had a sample character out of the book and was instantly hooked. Within a year the GM had moved away and I found myself GMing SR more and more often.

Some helpful hints for new players getting into RPGs:
Suspend your disbelief. It all makes sense if you are having fun.
