How Harm got into roleplaying:
I was a misfit in high school, and my friends were misfits in high school. These misfits escaped into silly books like Elf Quest and Dragonlance, and so I escaped into silly books like Elf Quest and Dragonlance. Then my house got a second line so I could spend untold hours on dial up internet, and I found out other misfits liked to go online and do this thing called Play By Post. That's how I started roleplaying.

Some helpful hints for new players getting into RPGs:
Embrace the nerdiness.
